There are two modes of play in Battle Blaze.  "The Hero" mode, which is one
player story mode, and "The Battle" mode, the 2 player mode.

STORY

In a time when peace prevailed around the world, a land called Virg flourished
under the rule of a powerful king.  As was the custom, each king was selected
at the Tournament of Champions.  A zealous demon from the Netherworld, desiring
to dominate the human world, sent forth five phantoms to possess each contender
in the fabled Tournament of Champions.  The demon  plotted to turn the
contenders against each other where they would be defeated one by one.  The
king, along and unguarded, would then meet his gruesome fat at the hands of the
triumphant demon.  The phantoms swooped into the souls of the unsuspecting
contestands... all except one.  As one of the phantoms lunged into the chest of
Durill, the most famous competitor in all the land, a sickening pain
overwhelmed him.  Durill fought vigilantly, and the phantom was soon destroyed.
However, Durill, his mind poisoned during the encounter, collapsed in
exhaustion.  As Durill's life faded, his son Kerrel stood over his dying
father.  One thought ran wildly through Kerrel's mind... To avenge his dead
father and destroy the evil demon by taking his father's place in the
Tournament of Champions!

The noblest fighter in all of Virg.  Using only a sword and his agility, Kerrel
must defeat his opponents as well as the evil Lord Autarch.  Kerrel is the
noblest competitor.

"Leader of the Pack" of the Mountain Man/Beasts, Shnouzer is one of the most
feared of all competitors.  Though he does not have a weapon, his close-combat
skills are unmatched.

Not having the advantage of strength, Adrick relies heavily on his Dark Blade.
The length and sheer weight of the magical sword makes him a slow, but
devastating swordsman.

dagger.  Her dexterous physique, combined with razor-sharp blades, maker her a
swift competitor.

A Half-Orc who rules a peaceful farmland, Gustoff is one of the strongest
competitors to enter the tournament.  His use of the mace is as hypnotizing as
it is dangerous.

CHEATS

Extra Mode: On the Title screen, hold Select and press Start to access the
Options screen. Then, press and hold R and enter the following: simultaneously
press Up and X , Then Right and A, then Down and B and finally Left and Y. If
you enter this correctly, the screen will switch to the Extra Play Mode. Use
the Control Pad to change options.

Infinite Credits: At the Options Screen Hold L and Press Up + X - Left + Y -
Down + B - Right + A then release L.
