   A. Author's First Words
   -----------------------

   Welcome to this FAQ. It's been fun while playing this game, and
remembering a few things of the past. After I wrote the full FAQ for
this game, here's my Heart Cases FAQ. Here, you'll find where you'll
get the five left Heart Cases in order to get eight (full). Hopt it
is useful to you.

II. Heart Cases
===============

O  Heart Case #4:
  In the Cave, kill the 2 big mushroom monsters, or avoid them. Go
  down, and get the yellow thing; it's the Ocarina, by pressing Up.
  Equip the Ocarina item, stand on the rectangle (that has some music
  signs), and use it (by pressing Up and jump buttons). Nothing will
  happen, because the melody is incorrect. Oh well, return to the
  village, and go inside Sonia's house (killing every body on your
  way). Talk to Sonia, she will tell you the correct melodies. Now,
  get outside, and go back again to the Cave (killing every body on
  your way). Use the Ocarina again (at the same place), and when the
  phrase says "Shion uses the Ocarina," press: attack, Up, attack,
  Up, attack, jump, and attack buttons. This will break the seal of
  the first door. Now, go through the door (that was sealed). Avoid
  or kill the 2 big mushroom monsters here, go down the stairs, and
  stand on another music pad. Use the Ocarina, and press: Up, attack,
  jump, attack, jump, Up, and attack buttons. This will break the
  seal of the second door. Go through the door (that was sealed).
  Continue, killing the big mushroom monster, and jump to the
  treasure. Press Up to open it, and you'll get a Heart Case.

O  Heart Case #5:
  In Lilypad, kill the blue monster, and the other one in the other
  side. You'll see something like a temple. Leave it and go to the
  stem. There is a locked door, so leave it. Go on, and move to the
  house near the inn. You will see an old man. Talk to him, and he
  will tell you that you should meet Poseidon. He also will tell you
  where he is, and how you can get to him. Now, get outside the
  house. Continue your way to the left. Kill the monster, and move to
  the lake. Jump on the moving wood, and climb the plants as you did
  before. Climb them one after another and get to the other side.
  Kill the monster, and continue your way to the stem. Jump on it and
  go to the other side. There is something that you can push. Jump on
  it and it will move. While moving, try to jump to the treasure
  above. You'll get another magic, the Power! To return, you have to
  jump on it again, and then on the stem. Return the same way killing
  all the bad guys, and climbing all the annoying plants to the inn
  if you want to get your new password, or keep going to the right
  until you reach the temple. It's now opened. Enter it. In this
  strange place, go to the left, and go down the ladder. Wait until
  the rock's moving then run as quickly as you can after it. When you
  are down for a while, continue running to the left. Now there are
  two paths; to the left, and to down. Go down. Keep walking to the
  right, and up the ladder. Go to the next screen to the right.
  Continue walking to the right and up yet another ladder. Now, go
  left. Simply, get the treasure. It contains another magic; Return.
  Now go to the next screen on the left. You'll return to where you
  started from. Do the same thing by going down the ladder and be
  careful of the rock. Reach the two paths, and go to the left now
  (the next screen). Jump down, and up the ladder (be careful of the
  arrows from both sides). Note: you can stop every two arrows then
  continue going up). Go through the only door. Now, you'll be down
  somehow. Go to the right and to the next screen. Up the little
  stairs-like (to the right side), a get the treasure's content; a
  Heart Case.

O  Heart Case #6:
  Get out of the Castle from the door on the right to return to the
  Large Tree. Move to the right and to the next screen. Continue
  moving to the right, and go down to the water. You'll see Shion
  swims for the first time. Move on, and use the jump button to swim
  on the up direction. You'll be in a place that you have been to,
  but it's not the same, it looks like that. Be careful of the
  scorpion, you'll get 4 Gold pieces if you kill one of them. Keep
  jumping to the right until you reach a small house. Enter it. There
  is a woman inside the house. Talk to her, and she will tell you
  that if you have the Marmaid's Tears, you'll find the shrine
  underwater. Also, she will tell you that if you give her the
  Ocarina, she will tell you where the Marmaid's Tears are. Agree.
  She will tell you that you'll find them from a hidden door amidst
  two palm trees. Now, get outside. Continue walking to the right,
  and you'll see the small monsters that you've seen before. You'll
  also see the two palm trees. Stand between them (just like the two
  statues), and press Up. Get the treasure's content; Marmaid's
  Tears! Now return between the two palm trees (press Up near the
  treasure), and go to the woman's house. Talk to her, and she will
  tell you that the shrine will appear once you have the Marmaid's
  Tears. Get outside. Now go inside the water after the house (to the
  right). Swim to the left killing the big fish (you'll get 38 Gold
  pieces). Keep swimming until you see a small hole. Get inside it.
  Kill all the fish there (you'll get 41 Gold pieces when you kill
  the small one), and then go down. On the right, there's a treasure.
  It contains yet another Heart Case.

O  Heart Case #7:
  Once you are in the desert, go to the right, and kill the red
  monster. Continue (be careful! When the monster spawn again, it
  shoots a fire ball), and kill two more red monsters. Go to the next
  screen. In this place, there are two more red monsters to kill.
  There is a hole to get inside also. Go down. Just go down as far as
  you can, killing the bats and red monsters, and go to the right.
  You'll see another moving rock, jump on it (ignore the right side).
  When it reaches you to the top, jump to the left, then to the right
  (to reach the edge). Ignore the red monster down, just jump, jump,
  and jump above it until you reach the right side. Go on and get the
  treasure, it's a new magic, Quake. Now return the same way, but
  don't go on the moving rock. Instead, go to the left. You'll see
  the moving rock, so jump on it. Jump, jump, and jump until you
  reach the first moving rock. Jump on it, and jump outside the hole.
  Go to the next screen (to the right). Kill the red monsters, and go
  down the ladder. Now if you fell down, up the ladder. You'll see a
  treasure a bit far away to reach. However, just like what you did
  in your way to Lilypad, up the ladder a few feet, then press Left.
  Kill the bat, and get the treasure, an upgrade to the Shield magic
  (now you can cast 6 of it). Go down, then down the water (ignore
  the door for now). Keep going down while swimming, and be careful
  of the spikes down on the bottom, go left, and get the treasure. It
  contains a yet another Heart Case.

O  Heart Case #8:
  In the Pyramid, a mummy will welcome you, so quickly, kill it. From
  your position, jump and, using the rope, go up to the next screen.
  Keep going up, but be careful of the arrows. Remember, once you
  fall down, you will restart all the way again, so make sure you
  stop until the arrow is shot. Go to the next screens. Once you are
  up, go to the right. Jump WHEN you are stuck to the right wall,
  because there are some spikes exactly under ya. When you are down,
  be careful of the ghost, and go to the left (there will be a new
  way to reach the left part). Now jump down. Go to the left, and get
  the treasure's content, a Heart that will refill your health.
  Return, and go to the right (another new way) with the caution of
  the ghost. Keep going right, and jump (there ARE some other spikes
  down there). Then, go to the left. Jump to where the mummy is and
  kill it, then* jump down to the left.

* I have restarted all the way to here for something I missed at this
point. Before you jump, make sure that you are being stuck to the left
wall before you go to the next screen, and press Left after you go
down. If you failed in doing this, sorry, you don't have a chance to
do it again, but only if you die and re-enter the Maugham Desert, and
then you do what I have just mentioned.

  If you did what was in the note before, get the treasure that
  contains the last Heart Case.
