Terminator is my next FAQ for the Sega Master System Completion Project. It
is a project set up at the FAQ Contributors Board at GameFAQs to give all Sega
Master System games a FAQ. It was started by Masamune3 in the case of the Sega
Master System but there are projects like that for other consoles too.

[A] It is the search engine of this FAQ. Press Ctrl and F. Type in the
search code for the section you want to go to. You should be there in
two steps.

You use the Control Pad to move to the left and to the right. You have to press
down to duck and avoid bullets. Up just makes you stand still.

The 1/START button is used to confirm in menus and to shoot your weapon during
the game. In the first level, you throw bombs. In the latter levels, you use
bullets from a machine gun.

The B Button is used to jump. You can cover a big distance by pressing Right on
the Control Pad too. When you enter your high score, you have to press B to
confirm.

Sarah Conner is the mother of John Conner, the leader of the human forces. The
Terminators are after her so that they can stop John from ever being born. She
is helped by Kyle Reese.

Kyle Reese is one of the Time Soldiers that are under John Conner's service. He
is sent back to 1984 to save Sarah from The Terminator.

He is the leader of the humans in their struggle against the Machines. With him
as their leader, the human forces have become better organized. The Machines
try to stop him by sending Terminators back into time.
This walkthrough contains spoiler of the dialog. The spoilers are only readable
after the walkthrough of the level where they are told so you won't be spoiled
by it before you reach that particular level. I only describe the way you have
to follow.

The machines rose from the ashes of the nuclear fire. Their war to exterminate
humanity had raged for decades, but The Final Battle would not be fought in the
future. It would be fought here, in our present. Tonight...

Los Angeles 2029
John Conner's Forces had the machines beaten. It had been him alone who had
brought the human race back from the edge now Skynet had to find a method of
destroying the leader of the human uprising. The method, Cyberdyne System Model
101, The Terminator.

Army Commander- Reese, we've found the time displacement equipment in the lab
complex! You'll need weapons and explosives that you'll find in the area. Good
luck.
Reese- Ok, I'm on my way.

You're in a desolate area and a plane appears after a couple of meters. It
drops bombs at you but they are easy to avoid. Move forward without stopping
until you see the ladder on the screen. Run back a meter and you'll avoid the
other bombs too. Climb down the ladder and advance to the left.
Use a duck and shoot pattern to take out your enemies that will be appearing
from both left and right of the screen. They are Guerrilla Soldiers and use
heavy artillery. At one moment, you'll reach a door. Blow it up and advance to
the left. Go down the stairs when you reach them. Jump down to another couple
of stairs once you reach the platform at the bottom of the other stairs. Move
to the right. Duck and destroy the door to move on.
Move on to the right and destroy another pair of doors. Move up the stairs and
go down a bit. You'll see an iron box in the air. There are three of them but
you'll want to get on the second of them. You do this by running down the
stairs and jumping. Jump to the third box and use the ladder.
Move to the left until you reach the ladder. Go down and move to the left. Go
up the stairs. Jump to the right and go up another ladder. From now on, you
only have to continue to the right to reach the ending. At one moment, you'll
see a Turret Gun. This gun shoots large laser beams at a certain place of the
playing field. Jump through them and quickly advance further to the right.

Los Angeles 1984
White Light... Pain... Maybe it was like being born? The time travel process
had not been pleasant. He felt tired and every inch of his body cried out in
agony. He had already been spotted by the police and time was running out.

Reese- I've got to find out where Sarah lives! Her address should be in the
Phone Book. I'll have to find her quickly, to stand a chance against... The
Terminator!
You're in a beautiful city now. There will be many enemies coming from the left
and the right. Move to the right and only stop to shoot at the enemies. Go up
the first ladder. You're on top of a high building now. Jump down from roof to
roof to reach the ground and continue to the right until you reach a ladder.
Go up the ladder and jump to the roof that is a little higher. Go to the right
and jump to the next building. The exit from this level is there. That was a
short level, wasn't it?
This is a boss level. The only thing you have to do is blast the Terminator
that is sent back in time to kill Sarah. Your goal is to knock him out of the
bar. The only good way to do this is duck and shoot at him until he disappears
from the screen, go to the right and shoot him more. The level is fairly long
so it is hard to get him out of the level.

Sarah- Reese..... Why me? Why does it want me?
Reese- It is ok, Sarah. I'm here to protect you. From... The Terminator. There
was a nuclear war a few years from now. Nobody knew who started it. The
machines Sarah... They did it. They saw people as a threat and decided our
extermination. But there was one man who taught us to fight. His name was...
John Conner. Your unborn son!

You're in the police station of the city now. You have to escape from it. Go to
the left and defeat the punkers and Police men. Go up the ladder. Continue to
the left and stay on the bottom floor at all times after this. Once you can't
go any further without going up, you just need to go up all the stairs until
you reach the top floor. Go to the right and you'll end up outside of the
building.
Move to the right and watch out for the helicopter that drops bombs. Just run
to avoid its bombs. Go down the ladder once you can't advance to the right
anymore. Go to the right and go down the stairs. Go up the stairs in the next
room and jump to the ladder.
Go up the ladder and watch out for the Terminator. Make sure it is on the right
side of the ladder when you go up. Run to the left and grab the female to
finish the level.

The Final Confrontation
Barely escaping from the police station with their lives, Reese and Sarah are
pursued relentlessly by their assailant to a factory unit. Now, Reese prepares
for the final battle. It will take place here... tonight... now!
You're in a futuristic factory now. Go down the ladder and go to the right. Use
the second ladder and go up. Walk to the right and jump to the floating
platforms. Take a long jump when you're on the second one to reach the roof.
Jump to the next platform, go to the right, and use the ladder.
Go down until you reach another Terminator Robot. There is a crushing machine
down there. You have to shoot him about ten times to get him in between there.
It is easy to defeat him, just duck. It is a ridiculously easy last level.

With the Terminator destroyed, Sarah started her new life. Reese was dead but
lived on in the form of her unborn son. John Conner would protect the Human
Race as Reese had protected Sarah's life.

- Guerrilla Soldiers: They wear green pants and no shirt. They use heavy
artillery. The easiest way to kill them is to duck right when they shoot and
throw your bombs.
- Airplane: It drops bombs at you but they are easy to avoid. You only have to
face it once in the game but there are more of them on other locations.
-Turret Gun: This gun shoots large laser beams at a certain place of the
playing field. Jump through them and quickly advance further to the right.
- Police Men: They shoot bullets at you and they are dressed in a standard
police costume.
- Punkers: They are easily recognized by their wild hair. Their weapon is a
Molotov Cocktail.
- Helicopter: It drops bombs at you but they are easy to avoid. You only have
to face it once in the game but there are more of them on other locations.
- Floating Disk: This disk follows a certain platform and floats through the
air. Just jump over it to avoid them.
- Black Terminator: The only thing you have to do is blast the Terminator that
is sent back in time to kill Sarah. Your goal is to knock him out of the bar.
The only good way to do this is duck and shoot at him until he disappears from
the screen, go to the right and shoot him more. The level is fairly long so it
is hard to get him out of the level.
