While I do write all of my guides for free, it does take a lot of time and
effort to put them together. If you're feeling generous and want to show your
appreciation, I am gladly accepting donations. I don't know exactly what the
donations will be used for, but just know that you would definitely be helping
me make more quality FAQs! Even the smallest donation amounts are appreciated,
and are a great way to say how much you appreciate the work I do. If you do
decide you'd like to donate, please send the donations through PayPal at the
e-mail address listed below. Thank you so very much for considering this!!

Welcome to another FAQ of mine. This one covers the SMS game known as
Taz in Escape from Mars. Like a number of games for the various FAQ Completion
Projects, it is a 2D platformer, this one being centered on the popular
Looney Toons character, the Tazmanian Devil.
This game was made by Sega in 1996 for their Master System console. In the
sixteen years hence, not a single complete FAQ has been written for it, until
now. I, along with other members of the GameFAQs FAQ Contributor boards, have
taken it upon themselves to write at least one guide for every Sega Master
System game out there. At the time of writing, we have ten left, nine if you
count this one's completion! ^_^
And, so, that's more or less how I came upon this came. Thanks for listening
to my ramblin'; I hope you enjoy!

~ D-Pad: Move around (Left/Right); move camera up/down (Up/Down);
trigger door switches (Down).
~ 1 Button: Tornado attack; brown cannonball attack; activate propeller hats
or bubble gum or other floating/flying objects.
~ 2 Button: Jump.
~ Left/Right + 1 Button: Shoot fireballs if these buttons are hit at the same
time for a period of time after eating a bottle of
hot sauce.
~ Left/Right + 1 Button: If you are in a tornado attack, you can jump in the
air. If you're in a narrow shaft with walls, you can
rapidly alternate between Left and Right on the D-Pad
to bounce up the shaft.
~ Down + 2 Button: Fall through some ledges. Only required during Level 8.

The levels are arbitrarily divided, as the game gives no specific nomenclature.
As such, I'll just say that the area with the word "EXIT" on it ends a
level.
Under this system, then, there are 15 levels in all, divided equally amongst
five settings - the space prison, the sky world, the castle, the desert, and
the palace of Marvin the Martian.
And, finally, credits go to Glacoras for corrections on the boss names of
Marvin the Martian, K-9 (his dog), and Yosemite Sam.
==================================
Level 1 (Escape the Space Prison!)
==================================
Begin by heading to the right and jump into the area with the vertical bars.
Continue to the right and jump onto the ledge above and to the right - be sure
to use the tornado attack as you get up there to defeat spiky enemy. Then jump
through the gap to the right. Try to pick up that pickup in the air as you do -
if not, don't worry.
When you hit the ground, tornado through the enemy there, then go right and
eat the bottle of hot sauce. Use the tornado wall-jumping technique to go up
the shaft here, then left to eventually beat an enemy. Beware the dynamite,
though - like in the GameBoy Taz-Mania series, Taz will eat certain objects
that he runs into. This includes that dynamite. THAT WILL HURT.
Return to where you found the hot sauce and head right from there. Tornado
along the ground to beat an enemy, then continue into the relatively vacant
middle shaft. Continue right along the ground and, past another barred area,
you'll find Daffy Duck. Feel free to hurt 'im - he'll hurt you if you run into
him, after all. Further right, you may find a star pickup and/or a burger.
Grab whichever appears - they're both good for ya.
Return left into the barred area and you'll notice the golden pipe nearby. You
can go through it - do so and beat the enemy nearby, then go through the next
pipe. (You may have to use the tornado wall-jump for that one.) There, tornado
and defeat the enemy, then go right. Jump onto the small purple ledge and jump
onto the green/yellow conveyor to the right.
This conveyor belt is working against you, so either jump along it or just hold
Right on the D-Pad. You'll grab a few stars on the way. Just hop off at the end
of the first conveyor and, when you hit the ground, try to tornado through the
enemies if you can. (I was unsuccessful in this and just ran.) Go through the
teleporter when you reach it.
On the other side, go left and tornado through that enemy. Continue left to
repeat this on the higher ledge, then ... Well, you get the idea - continue
left and bash enemies as needed. At the far left, you'll reach the wall. Climb
up a ledge. On the next, you'll find a bomb, which Taz will eat if you touch it
and that is not good - jump and induce the tornado attack to get rid of it.
Grab the nearby star and hop into the conveyor belt, which is working *with*
you this time. So you can just ride or press Right on the D-Pad or whatever -
just grab the stars as you go. When you pop out of the other side, be sure to
start using the tornado attack, because there's some more "edible" dynamite
down there. Explosives are harmful to your health and such.
Proceed to the right - yes, those pinkish columns are just for decoration, and,
yes, the graphics in this game are quite literally that bad. -_- Continue to
the right, tornadoing enemies as they come. When you reach the edge of the
ledge, hop down along the right wall and you should reach a red "+" pickup,
which quite likely functions as a health pickup. (I oddly tornadoed it away.
Gah.)
Continue to ground level. Get rid of the dynamite down here and proceed into
the conveyor belt to the left. Briefly ride it and take out the enemy on the
other side. Proceed into the next conveyor belt and eat the chicken on the
other side for a mild refill of your health (and your stomach!).
Proceed left onto the lower left. Tornado through the candle down there and
go right into the conveyor belt. This one will work against you, but you get to
hurt Daffy Duck again on the other side. Jump onto the nearby ledge and to the
next conveyor belt. Defeat the enemy there and ride the next conveyor belt to
find yourself back in a familiar area.
This time, go left and into the barred structure. Defeat the nearby enemy and
go left into the gold pipe. On the other side, defeat the enemy on this level,
and the level through the leftmost pipe if you want, although it's a dead end.
Proceed to the top level. Defeat the enemy up there, then exit to the left.
Do you see those vertical green lines around the purple girders above and to
the left? Jump up there - you can! - and go left. You'll soon hop over the
other side. Jump into the short conveyor belt and ride it. On the other side,
hit the ground.
Destroy the nearby batch of dynamite and go left into the barred structure.
Defeat the spiked enemy nearby and continue. Go through the pipe when you get
to it and defeat the enemy nearby. Feel free to go into the other pipe to find
a lone enemy (and a dead-end) - otherwise, head to the right. Ascend to the
ledge forming the roof of the barred structure and go left and tornado through
the enemy on the way. Same goes for the candle.
On the other side should be the "EXIT" teleporter on the ground. Use it.
==================================
Level 2 (Escape the Space Prison!)
==================================
Here, go right and jump OVER the ledge containing the bomb - you can clearly
see it. You should land on the roof of a barred area; hit the ground to the
left and defeat/bypass the enemy further left, if you want. Otherwise, get on
the ground to the right of the cage and get into the gap there to find another
enemy to beat. Also beware of the bomb to the left - tornado through it, don't
eat it!
Continue along towards the gap to the left, defeating the enemy above it if you
want. Then head on down - be sure to use the tornado attack as you reach the
ground to get rid of the candle. To the right should be a caged-off area - run
into the left green side to open it, then defeat the enemy within and push on
the other side to open that door. You'll use this same process for a fair while
so get used to it.
On the other side, hit the ground and tornado through the robot nearby. Go
right and take out the candle, then snatch up the nearby star. Hit the ground
to the right and destroy the dynamite at the bottom. Then head left and through
the cages and their respective enemies. Between the two is a bottle of hot
suace that'll help you shoot fireballs; past the second cage is a burger that
will refill some of your health.
Get back on the other side of the cages, where you fell, and proceed right.
Defeat the enemy underneath the archway, then proceed onto the platform above
and to the right. Take out the enemy and candle there, then the bomb on the
ledge to the left. Ride the nearby conveyor belt and jump at the star to try
and get it, then, when successful, go right and through the cage and the enemy
within.
On the other side, fall off of the ledge to find a plate of chicken, which will
restore your health! Then jump to the other side of the gap and defeat the
enemy in the cage there. Proceed to the other side and jump at the ledge with
the propeller hat. There, eat said hat and press the 1 Button. Wait until
you've flown above the ledge to the right (and I mean clearly so - the hitboxes
in this game are atrocious), then get on said ledge.
Get the star from the cage to the right, then jump across the gap to the left.
Ride the conveyor belt for a bit and jump at the stars you'll see along the
way. On the other side of the belt, climb up the ledges on the wall to the left
and take out the bomb with a tornado attack. From there, you can literally jump
through the wall to the left - you MUST jump - and enter the cage for a health
pickup. Continue to the other side and down. Defeat the enemy nearby and grab
the star, then jump through the wall to the right.
Get back on the ledge where the bomb once was and jump right this time, across
the gap. Go through the two cages nearby and defeat the enemies in each. On the
other side of the second cage, climb up the ledges. Jump across the gap to the
left at the top to ride the conveyor belt. Grab the stars as you go along it.
Near the end, jump to the left to reach the next ledge - it's a hard jump. You
can tell if you're going too early if Taz ends up bumping the archway above the
gap.
Once you successfully cross the gap, defeat the enemy in the nearby cage, then
proceed to the other side of the cage. There, you'll find another propeller hat
for Taz to eat. Make him do so, then press the 1 Button while very close to the
cage to the right, or on the other side if you can manage, then fly right over
the higher ledge to the right.
Once you land upon it, go through the cages to the right, defeating enemies as
they appear. Don't forget the burger between the two, though! On the other side
of the second, defeat the enemy to the right and destroy the candle, then go
further right and through the conveyor belt to a striped area.
As you land here, be sure to not use the tornado attack - there's usually a
loaf of bread at the bottom, which refills your health. Feel free to peruse the
tornado attack against the enemy to the right, though! >:) Further to the
right, you'll reach a fork in the path. I'd opt for the one furthest to the
right, jump over the ledge, then defeat the enemy on the other side - it's a
bit easier than needing to use the tornado wall-jump technique.
Regardless, destroy the dynamite further ahead and use the tornado wall-jump to
ascend through the rightmost vertical column. At the top, go along the linear
path for a bit - destroy the bomb on the way! - to drop down a vertical shaft.
There, go right and down another, then continue along the path. At the end, you
will find a bomb and a burger - you know what to do with each.
Return back to the fork in the path (right/left), and, this time, head to the
left. Go along this straightforward path and defeat some enemies along the way,
then along the upbound path at the next fork. After dropping down into the next
vertical shaft, continue left and defeat a couple more enemies, then get the
nearby star.
Drop down the shaft to the right of where you landed from the previous shaft.
Destroy the nearby candle and tornado wall-jump up the shaft to the left to
reach a star. Repeat this process with the other column to the right, but you
will destroy dynamite at the top and then go down the other side.
At the bottom, go right and do what you need to in the grilled-off area to
the right. Then ascend the nearby shaft with more of the tornado wall-jump
technique, then go right. Destroy the bomb and fall down the next shaft. Head
left at the bottom, defeating enemies and destroying a candle as you go to the
next vertical shaft. Continue along the linear path with the same general
concept in mind and, past a conveyor belt near the lower-right corner, you'll
find the "EXIT" teleporter.
==================================
Level 3 (Escape the Space Prison!)
==================================
When you arrive in this pipe-filled zone, go right and jump onto the golden
pipes. Head along the top one and defeat the enemy on it, then proceed further
to the right. Destroy the candle you soon see and drop off of the right side of
the ledge. You should then be able to see a loaf of bread to the right - take
it to refill some health.
Then drop off to the left and continue left from there. Walk into the gap, then
jump onto the ledge at the other side. Climb up the nearby ledges to reach
another health pickup. Return to ground level, then go left some more and
defeat the enemies as you proceed. Of course, there's nothing in this direction
other than enemies and a dead-end, so you're more than welcome to return into
the gap to the right and proceed from there.
When you return to the gap, walk off of the right side of the ledge, then jump
to the burger you can blatantly see further right. Go back left and jump across
the gap, defeating the enemy as you go. At the other side, get the star above
you, then go into the gap nearby. Eat the burger at the bottom, then head left.
Jump to the ledges above and go along the linear path, destroying a candle on
the way. When you can't go further, you should see a star above you - use the
tornado wall-jump technique to get at it. Get back towards where you fell, then
go left from there. Cross the gap (it's not a bottomless pit - don't worry) and
get the star on the other side.
Go to where you fell before and return to the ledge where the burger was. Walk
off of the left side of the ledge and you'll land to the right of the
teleportation device. Use it.
On the other side, head to the left and off of the ledge to get left of the
crates. There should be a plate of chicken there - eat some of it to refill
your health, then climb back up to the teleporter. Go to the right this time
and over the edge of the ledge. Below, defeat the enemy and proceed to the
right into the striped area.
Destroy the bomb as you proceed into the area, but go ahead and eat the brown
spheres - they'll allow you to fire cannonball-like objects with the 1 Button.
Tornado wall-jump onto the ledge above, then jump onto the next ledge. Go
right and along the linear path. Destroy the enemy and the candle as you go to
the end, where you'll find a health pickup.
Backtrack out of the striped area and head to the left. Drop off of the ledge
and head to the right. Go through the wall, which will take you back into a
different portion of the striped area. Defeat the two enemies as you proceed
right. At the fork with the two upbound paths, first take the right one to get
a star.
Then jump onto the left one and go left. Tornado wall-jump at the next blockage
to find another enemy to destroy at the time. Defeat him and go right. Tornado
wall-jump again and proceed right, this time taking down Daffy Duck. Go to the
right and into the vertical shaft. Stick along the left side to get a star as
you go. Also be sure to use the tornado attack near the bottom to rid yourself
of that annoying candle and the nearby enemy.
Jump into the middle of the upbound shafts now and use the tornado wall-jump
technique to get a star. If you want some health, you should be able to
reascend the right column this time to find a few health pickups at the top.
To progress further, though, you'll need to use the left column.
At the top, destroy the candle to the right, then proceed to the next ledge.
Destroy the dynamite up there and go left and into the next vertical shaft. Be
sure to begin using the tornado attack as you reach the bottom - there, you'll
find some dynamite and an enemy. You don't like to be hurt by either... Do you?
Proceed to the left and into the open area - you may have to use the tornado
attack to defeat an approaching enemy, but the graphics and spawn points in
this game are so messed up that it may just be another glitch in the system.
-_-; Anyways, at the bottom, you should see a propeller hat nearby. If you
need to refill your health in the upcoming boss battle, be sure to peruse it to
reach the ledge above and to the left. At the end of the leftbound linear path,
you'll find a health pickup.

BOSS #1: Marvin the Martian's Loyal Dog, K-9
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Speaking of the boss, to the left of where you'll land, you'll find a dog. This
is the loyal friend of that Martian guy from the Looney Toons cartoons - Marvin
Martian, I think. That's irrelevant. Anyways, for now, you just need to dodge
him for a bit - he'll hurt you by running into you and leaping up to bite you.
Therefore, when you jump back over him (space is limited, so you'll need to do
that), be sure to jump high.
As for the strategy to win, as you run around, sometimes the dog will stop and
sniff around briefly, as if he's lost you. Jump on his head with a tornado
attack and you'll damage him - you'll know you've succeeded if it looks like
his face gets flatter and covered. The level will end the dog is defeated,
which should take around five hits.
===================
Level 4 (Sky World)
===================
When you begin the level, go left and grab the pack of the bubble gum, then
head right across the squairsh ledges for a bit. Defeat enemies you find on
the way, which include Cupid-like angels and golden knights. The aforementioned
ledges consist of squarish blocks embedded into clouds. Look for these as you
continue on. Note that their size will vary, so look carefully.
At one point, you'll reach a star. Grab it, then, from the ledge beneath it,
walk to the right. When you fall off the ledge, you'll land on or near an icon
representing an extra life. Go left from there and you should also see a burger
to heal some health.
Continue heading right across the ledges, picking up pickups and defeating
enemies on the way. You'll eventually reach a tree on a ledge. Go right across
the ledge and downstairs, then leap across the gap and continue. Eventually,
you'll find another tree. Cross onto the ledge it's on and continue right from
there to find the exit.
===================
Level 5 (Sky World)
===================
This level is extremely open-ended with its paths. It'll be hard to navigate
you, so, if you're unclear on anything, just know that the exit is in the
lower-right corner of the area.
At the start, get onto the ledge above with the candle. Destroy it and head
to the right. You'll soon reach a larger ledge with a tree, a star (get it!),
and some dynamite (tornado it!). When done here, continue rightward. On the
next large ledge should be Daffy Duck and a bomb - get rid of both and go on.
The next large ledge should have health-healing bread on it.
The next large ledge should have some brown balls on it, allowing you to shoot
brown projectiles with the 1 Button. Go right and tornado down the stairs (this
will let you deal with the candle), then grab the star. If you press Down on
the D-Pad near here, you should be able to see a health pickup down below. Grab
it, then go back left and up the stairs.
At the top (underneath the Greek structure), jump right and up onto the ledges
nearby. From there, cross to the right, primarily going along the highest
option for a bit before going to the right. You'll soon see a star. Get it as
you head to the next large ledge. Get rid of the dynamite there and continue
heading rightward.
After about three or four ledges, drop off of the ledge to the larger one below
you. Get the star at its right edge, then go left and use the items as needed,
though the dynamite will hurt you... Head right across more ledges, and you'll
begin heading more up than right soon after meeting a gold knight. As you do,
you'll soon reach a large ledge. To the right, you'll find the exit.
===================
Level 6 (Sky World)
===================
(It may be just my copy of the game, but there seem to be a number of graphical
glitches starting around the time you hit the first star. For example, they
may appear and disappear at random, as will clouds, and elements of the
environment that are in NO way meant to disappear. Be very careful in this
level and beware of various trickeries that I may not have found.)
When you begin, head left and around to the underside of the start ledge to
find two health pickups, if you want them. Otherwise, head right from the start
point. the path is pretty linear for a while - you mostly need to focus on
defeating enemies you can ignore with tornado attacks, the same going for
various "inedible" objects, and jumping across ledges.
Soon after a ledge sequence, you'll reach a large ledge. It has a downbound
staircase with an overhang supported by three columns. Get on the top ledge
here and eat the gum. Then grab the nearby star(s) - sometimes one is there,
sometimes three. -_- Anyways, press the 1 Button to trigger the bubble that
will let you fly, if you want to do so. To the right should be a number of
stars. Beware the turkey leg in the gap between the two ledges, though, as it
will likely force you into the gap between the ledges - not good...
From there, continue rightward along the linear path, through enemies and bad
objects as usual, and across numerous ledges. You will find a health pickup
on one of the first important-looking ledges. Further right along ground level,
you should find a star and gum. Past there, a little more, you'll find a star
to the right if you stuck along ground level. Jump/float to it, get the extra
life nearby, then the other star. Return to the other side of the gap.
There, you should be able to use the bubble float (or torando super-jump) to
go through to the house above you. Collect the star above you, then proceed to
the right some more along the linear path with the dangers mentioned earlier
on. As you go to the right, you will meet up again with Daffy Duck. You can
float through the overhang above, or use the tornado attack and bounce on Daffy
to get to the ledge above you.
More to the right!

BOSS #2: Elmer Fudd as Zeus
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
When you cross into the open area, you will fight Elmer Fudd, playing the part
of the Greek deity of lightning, Zeus. This fight functions quite like the fight
against the dog in the final space area. This time, however, you will need to
deal with the lightning Elmer throws at you - just dodge it. The main strategy,
offensively, would have to be to wait around for Elmer to stop for a relatively
significant amount of time, then use the torando attack to jump on his head. It
will take around five hits before he is beaten and you progress to the next
level.
=============================
Level 7 (Some Martian Castle)
=============================
When you begin the level, quickly head left and into the tower. Fall down the
shaft that it is, then go right and off of the edge of your ledge to the brown
ramp below. Go to its top to find some brown cannonballs to shoot, then cross
the ledges to the right. On the other side, proceed right use the power-ups and
defeat enemies as needed.
Ath te far right, ascend the ledges and go through the tower nearby to find
two stars. Then backtrack to the area where you found the second set of ledges.
Go off of the ledge by walking off and quickly round to the right to find a
brown ramp. Defeat any nearby enemies and descend. You can go onto the ledge
above the ramp and to the right for some cannonballs.
At the bottom, continue going right and into the tower. Jump up to the ledge
on its right side and cross the ledges from there - note that they can go in
and out of the wall - along a U-turn path to the tower again. Be sure to
tornado through the dynamite on the way. Also beware of the acid below - it'll
hurt you!
Ascend the tower with a tornado wall-jump and exit higher up. Defeat the
enemies nearby and go into the next tower. You'll fall a short distance. Head
right and defeat the enemy nearby and destroy the dynamite. Begin ascending
the ledges and take the star.
Now, go back into the previous tower and tornado wall-jump to the top. Exit to
the left if you want a star. Otherwise, exit to the right and continue in that
direction to the tower, defeating enemies as you. Go into the tower and you'll
fall down.
When you land, exit the tower. Jump left across the ledges to the next tower;
you'll fall when inside of it. Go to the right and you'll reach the exit past
the gap.
=============================
Level 8 (Some Martian Castle)
=============================
Just so you know, if you want to open a door, you must first find the switch.
It is right next to the door. Press Down on the D-Pad to trigger the switch.
Stand in front of the door without moving to open the door and go through. On
the other side, there is no switch - just stand in front of the door if you
want to leave.
Anywho, what to do? Well, there are a few extra things we can do first.
Begin by going right, defeating enemies as you do, and getting the entrance
door off-screen. Return and a propeller cap should be nearby. Get it and then
fly onto the ledge above and slightly to the right of the entrance. Go through
this door to find some health pickups; then return to the other side.
Go right and off of the ledge. Defeat the enemies down here and go right
through the narrow tunnel, which may also feature an enemy. Go right and, if
you see a propeller hat, use it to fly up and onto the ledge waaaay up and to
the left to find a burger. Otherwise, go into a gap opening in the path to the
right of the tunnel.
For reference, we'll use the rightmost gap, the one without the bricks that
open and close. Feel free to take the propeller hat (if any) at the bottom, but
do destroy the candle and other enemies you may find to the left. Further left,
beneath the opening/closing gaps, you'll find a star in each. Feel free to grab
'em - you can always jump for the other, the ground not being far below. -_-
Go left and defeat enemies along the linear path to the next door. Go through
it and you'll find a brief path with two stars. Go through the other door.
Remember where you got the second propeller hat? Go back there and get it
again, but, this time, get on the ledge to the right. Continue across and you
will find another door. This door leads to a linear path, containing some
stars, back here. Feel free to use it if you want.
Back outside, go right and you'll find some dynamite. Tornado through it and
any enemies further to the right. When you cannot go further, press Down and
the 2 Button at the same time several times until you don't fall through any
more ledges.
At the bottom, go left and past/defeat more enemies. After you beat the enemy
next to the painting of the witch or whatever the heck that is, fall off of the
ledge by walking left. Defeat the enemy at the bottom. If you want to be able
to fire cannonballs, there should be the corresponding pickup to the right, but
there's little else over there. When you're done, go left and you'll find
another door to go through.
On the other side, you'll want to head right through the narrow tunnel. On the
way, you'll find a few enemies, a cannonball pickup, and a candle. Deal with
them as you see fit. Continue to the right and defeat the enemy in the
relatively open area. Then fall through the ledge below and walk to the right.
Deal with enemies as they come.
As you reach the area with the red bridges that open/close at times, you can go
down there for a few stars. If you choose to, note that I've yet to find a way
to return to where you need to be so you can go further ahead - the door in the
end of this "loop" path is malfunctioning in the game's code or something,
preventing access at least on my game. I'd advise against going down there.
Instead, just go to the right and, when you reach the end of the path with the
bridges, walk to the right, towards the burger (if it's there). Grab said
burger, if such is possible, then head up some ledges. Head to the left now and
do a tornado jump across the gap - that ghost, albeit immaterial, will hurt you.
Continue along the linear path for a bit. The only real notably features are a
gap where you fought the ghost, then one of those blue knight-like enemies at
the end. Defeat him and go down a few ledges. Defeat more enemies and proceed
to the left, defeating more as you go. You'll soon reach the exit. Trigger the
switch and head on through.
=======================================
Level 9 (Some Martian Castle - Dungeon)
=======================================
Begin by going down the staircase to the right. When you reach the bottom of
the second down-right-bound staircase, you should fight another of those blue
knights. Defeat him and proceed to the right, through the bomb (tornado), and
over the gap. Defeat the enemy on the other side and get the cannonballs if you
so desire.
Ascend the next staircase and defeat an another enemy or two as you go up.
Continue along the easy-to-navigate linear path for a bit, destroying enemies
as you go. Eventually, after fighting a blue knight, you'll find yourself able
to go left, or down the down-right-bound staircase. Take the latter and
continue beating enemies along the linear path.
When you reach the fork where you can go up-left or right, go up-left. Defeat
the enemy as you reach the dead-end, but you'll also find a star. Return to the
fork and head right, taking out the bomb as you go. You should also see two
empty columns above you, although neither is empty. Use the tornado wall-jump
to ascend the SECOND column to find a star; the first only has a ghost enemy.
Hit the ground and proceed to the right, grabbing a loaf of bread just before
you begin to ascend another set of stairs. More linear path ideals - you know
the drill. After you drop down the vertical shaft, defeat the nearby enemies
and go down the staircase to the left. Defeat the enemy at the bottom and go
down the next set of stairs.
Continue along the linear path again - defeat enemies, leap over fire, etc...
After crossing an unusually large fire pit, use the tornado wall-jump to gain
access to the area above. Destroy the candle on the platform you arrive on and
defeat the nearby ghost.
Head down the stairs.

BOSS #3: Frankenstein
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
You'll soon drop into the lower area, which contains your exit, and a boss.
This boss is a Frankenstein-like creature. Much as you would expect, he'll just
stick his arms out and try to ram into you. This boss is much easier than the
others thus far, primarily because you don't need a certain time for when to
hit him. Just hit him five or six times by tornado-jumping on his head - again,
when you do so is irrelevant, as he'll take damage at any time - and you'll be
allowed to exit this level.
=============================
Level 10 (The Martian Desert)
=============================
In the desert, as you progress, note that Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote will
come by attacking each other at random intervals. You'll want to avoid both of
these - even though Roadrunner is a protagonist in his own series, he doesn't
give a (bird) crap about Taz. Same for Wile E.
Anyways, go right. As you pass by a large cactus, an animated cactus enemy
will come by. Defeat him and continue right along ground level to find a health
pack that will ... well, restore health. Continue rightward, bewaring of
rattlesnakes and other enemies. There is little of interest for a small while,
so just stick along ground level.
Once you pass by another large cactus, you'll see a star to the right of it.
Grab it and ascend the ledges of this cliff. If you stick along the left side,
you'll also find a cannonball and a bubble gum pickup. Anywho, go on to the
top and head right. Destroy the candle and defeat the nearby buzzard as you go
down the incline. Get the nearby star and go up the next incline.
At the top, continue across the bridge, then along down the next incline.
Defeat the snake and destroy the candle at the bottom and head right. When
you see the next bridge, actually go left towards the cliff. Near the bottom,
you'll see a large cactus, with a star to the left. Get it and go rightward
along ground level to find another star.
Return to the cliff's top and cross the bridge to the right. Eat the chicken on
the way and try to get to the stars above, although you may need to use the
bubble gum pickup to do that. Regardless, go right and down the next incline,
then left the next one, and so on to ground level.
Cross the bridge to teh right and defeat the cactus enemy that approaches.
Get closer to that large cactus and take the star near it. Go on up the ledges
and defeat the enemies on the way. You'll be able to see a star if you stick
along the left side when you go up.
At the top, go right and across the bridge, defeating enemies on the way. Then
go down the incline and along the next bridge, and so on along this linear
path. You should be able to get stars around the ends of the third, fourth, and
fifth bridges.
At the end of the fifth bridge, you'll also find the exit nearby. Jump right to
get the extra life pickup, first, then go to the exit.
=============================
Level 11 (The Martian Desert)
=============================
When you arrive, feel free to grab the fruit plate above you and to the right.
Go right and upstairs. Take out the dynamite nearby, then go right and up the
stairs. Continue to the right and defeat enemies as they come. Also get rid of
the dynamite and eat the chicken on the windowsill.
Continue right along this roofs to find a star. After you get it, go right,
still along the rooftops, destroying enemies on the way. There's little to note
for a bit.
Once you see a plate of chicken, go and eat it, then go right onto the next
rooftop - a walking cactus may be up there. Jump to the right from there, and
try to get the star on the way. Continue rightward along the rooftops - the
highest you can get reach, generally.
Soon after crossing a gap - hopefully getting a star on the way - go to the
right and the roofs will end briefly. Hit ground level to the right and cross
to the next roof. Defeat the snake there and jump across to the next roof.
Continue right along the top rooftop and, not much further right, after a few
more minor enemies, you'll find the exit.
Sometimes, this exit won't load properly for whatever reason - in other words,
when you approach it, it won't teleport you to the next level like it should.
Just get it significantly off-screen and return.

Level 12 (The Martian Desert)
=============================
_________________________________________
BOSS #4: Speedy Gonzales and Yosemite Sam
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This level, from the very start, is the boss fight to some extent. You are
fighting Speedy Gonzales, the mouse, and Yosemite Sam, the gunman. Speedy
Gonzales will go across through small mouseholes in the level to throw his
yellow sombrero you. Yosemite Sam will go through the double-doors and try
to shoot at you. (No, you cannot go into the doors or mousehoules.)
The basic idea is to find them and tornado-jump onto them. They'll each take
around six or seven hits to beat. There are a number of pickups scattered
throughout the level (including, but not limited to, health pickups, stars,
and propeller hats) - however, due to the atrocious sprite-loading mechanics
in this game, guiding you to them is pointless, as they're sometimes there
and sometimes not. So, in that regard, you're on your own.
You'll go to the next level upon beating those two. ... What a strange duo.
======================================
Level 13 (Marvin the Martian's Palace)
======================================
Begin by grabbing the extra life to the left and the stars to the right. Go
right and jump over the gap. Get the hot sauce if you want, then continue
along into the next gap. Go right, defeat the enemy, and ascend to the next
ledge. Fall in the gap on the other side, beat the enemy to the right, and
continue along towards the next gap. Hop on in!
Defeat the enemy at the bottom and head left. Get the stars as you jump off of
the ledge, heading left. Defeat the enemy below, as well as the one flying
above if he comes along. Continue left and to the next gap. There are four
stars in a diamond configuration over this one - you can quite easily get
three: the top one, the left or right one, and then the bottom.
At the bottom, head to the right and off of the ledge. Jump far, though. If
you don't go far enough, you're liable to get attacked by Marvin's loyal
canine companion, the one you fought in Level 3 - and, this time, there's too
little space to make him able to be defeated! (Nor is there a point in doing
so.) Flee to the right and up the stairs!
Defeat the enemy(s) at the apex and get the propeller hat to the right. Use it
to go up and onto the next ledge to the right while getting the nearby star.
Defeat the nearby enemy and get the next propeller hat. Get on the smaller
ledge to the right (if you didn't beat the enemy earlier) and fly up and left
to the star. Then get on the main ledge to the right.
Defeat the enemy underneath the platform above and to the right, then ascend
onto said platform - you'll probably need to use the propeller hat. Collect the
two stars on there and continue up the vertical shaft to find another star in
mid-air, then get on the ledge to the right. Defeat the enemy(s) as they come,
then go right. At the gap, hop in, grabbing the stars on the way.
You'll take a long fall to the bottom. Be sure to spin near the bottom (the
wall to the left will end) - there's a bomb nearby!! Get the propeller hat to
the left and use it to fly up and left to find some stars and another extra
life. Jump into the gap to the right and spin near the bottom - you'll avoid
the bomb, and maybe the nearby enemy by doing that. Destroy the enemy if he's
still around, and the candle to the left.
Continue left and jump across the gap. On the other side, when the area dips
down a little, you'll find an enemy. Jump to the star from the upper ledge and
tornado-jump on the enemy. Continue left and get the two stars in the small
area there. Further left, you'll find another enemy.
Defeat 'im and get the propeller hat. Fly up and left onto the next ledge.
Defeat the enemy there and go left a bit more. Jump into the next gap and get
the nearby stars and the life, then get the propeller hat. Return to where
you fell and fly up and then onto the ledge to the left.
Continue left and off of the ledge. Continue left and defeat the enemy, then
destroy the dynamite. Ever-further left, you'll find a propeller hat. Grab it
and start flying. Grab the stars to the right if you want; otherwise, stay as
far left as possible to get into the gap. At the top, get the star, then go
right. You'll find another near the gap. Jump over said gap, defeat the enemy
on the other side, and destroy the dynamite even further to the right. There
should also be a star nearby, and the "EXIT" teleporter shouldn't be too much
further ahead.
======================================
Level 14 (Marvin the Martian's Palace)
======================================
When the penultimate level begins, proceed to the right. Destroy the dynamite
as you continue to the propeller hat. Grab said hat and begin flying. Defeat
the enemy on the ledge above and to the right. Hop onto the ledge across the
gap in the shaft you flew in. Walk left through the wall from there. Defeat
any enemy on the other side of the false wall, then get the two stars and the
burger (health refiller).
Return to the shaft and continue flying. When you reach the crossroads, head up
and onto the first ledge to the right (in mid-air). Grab the health filler
there and go left onto the next ledges for a bit. Grab the propeller hat on
the way. At the leftmost ledge, fly left and up along the vertical shaft for a
bit.
O---------------------------------------------------------------------------O
IF YOU FAIL WHEN USING THE PROPELLER HAT THIS FIRST TIME, BE SURE TO GO
BACK AND GRAB ANOTHER. THESE USUALLY ONLY HAVE THREE USES YOU CAN USE,
AND YOU WILL NEED EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM BEFORE THE NEXT ONE POPS
UP!! ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
O---------------------------------------------------------------------------O
At the top, defeat the enemy to the right and destroy the candle. Proceed onto
the next ledge and defeat the enemy roaming around there, then continue right.
Use the upper ledge and continue right, then down at the other side. Defeat
enemies as you progress rightward to the wall. Use the propeller hat to get on
top of that wall.
Now, you need to use the propeller hat to fly across. Begin by using the
tornado wall-jump technique between your wall and the middle platform. YOU DO
NOT WANT TO FALL BELOW!! This is because Marvin's dog is below and he is not
exactly invulnerable. However, unless you have one more use of the propeller
hat left, you'll be STUCK down there, because the middle platform is too high
to use tornado wall-jumps off of. (Even then, you'll still to beat Marvin's
dog, and bad sprite-loading mechanics make him regenerate if you get him
or his "dead" body off-screen.)
Once on the middle platform, the next bit will be a little tricky. We're going
to abuse the horrible sprite-loading mechanics of this game. Jump - JUST jump,
no tornado-jumping - right into the gap and stay as much as possible along the
right wall. If you did it right, when you land, the aforementioned canine will
not appear and attack you. (If he does, you'll need to beat him, much like in
Level 3, but without using that final propeller hat use!) Fly up and to the
right, landing on the first ledge to the right. And be very sure about your
ability to land on it - this should be your last propeller use, and, if it
fails, you're stuck in the doghouse, so to speak.
On the other side, quickly land on the ground below and proceed to the right.
Defeat the bird enemy that rushes at you and continue onto the next ledge.
Destroy the bomb and then enemy on it, then proceed right and down the ledges.
When you can't proceed to the right anymore, go left and into the gap.
Defeat the enemy at the bottom and destroy the nearby bomb. Head to the right
and jump across the gap to find two stars on that platform. Go into the gap on
the right side and head left - use the tornado attack on the enemy and the
bomb, but do eat the loaf of bread.
Continue into the gap to the left and down and right for a bit - you should
soon land near a propeller hat. Ignore it for the moment and proceed to the
right and you'll find two stars and a fruit plate that'll restore your health.
Now use the propeller hat to fly up and left.
When you see the monitor with the purplish static, stop flying, landing on
the platform just to its left. From there, you can cross the gap by going onto
the platform above or below the gap to the left. Use the upper platform for a
health pickup, and the lower one for a few stars. There are lots of stars
further down; however, if you go down there, you'll end up getting heavily
damaged by Marvin's dog - so DON'T. Just tornado wall-jump or fly up the gap.
Destroy the bomb on the ledge to the left, then go off of the ledge by heading
left. Continue left and across the gaps, defeating the enemy on the middle
platform.
(You are welcome to go into the gaps. Down there, you'll find a teleporter to
the far right. Go through it to reach linear path with a few stars and an
extra life. Go through the teleporter at the end to return to the main level,
then use the nearby propeller hat to return to the upper level mentioned in
the previous paragraph.)
At the left side, proceed to the left edge and fly up. (You may need the
propeller hat from below to make it.) Defeat the enemy at the top, on the
ledge to the right. Continue right and beat another enemy, then another. Go
back left and grab a propeller hat (they'll spawn back there now, usually).
At the far right, ascend via the propeller hat, then get on the ledge to the
left. Grab the stars and continue left. Get the next propeller hat and fly up
and left into the teleporter with the word "EXIT" written upon it.
======================================
Level 15 (Marvin the Martian's Palace)
======================================
One more level, here we go!
Begin the final level by going left and smacking Daffy Duck with a tornado
attack. >:) Continue left and defeat another enemy, then grab the burger
further left for some health restoration. Defeat the enemy on the ledge to
the left, and then tornado through the dynamite.
Continue into the open area to the left - try to jump at the three stars in
mid-air, if you can. Defeat the enemy on the ground, then proceed left. Hop
over the gap and use the tornado jump to get on the platform above and to the
right. There are a candle, extra life, and hot sauce on it -- tornado through
the first, take the second, and do what you will with the third.
Then jump into the previously-mentioned gap; you'll get a star or two as you
fall. At the bottom, spin to take out the nearby bomb, as well as the dynamite
if you feel like it. Then proceed to the right for a bit - a bird enemy might
come by on your level, so just be ready to tornado through stuff. You'll also
find some hot sauce as you continue.
At the end of the path, jump at the star and into the gap. Spin as you reach
the bottom to deal with that bomb down there, and the enemy if you can manage.
Grab the two stars nearby and proceed onto the next ledge above and to the
right.
There, you can reach a star sitting above the gap you just came from, as well
as a fruit plate partially hidden behind the various wiggly features to the
right. Be careful of the nearby enemy though, and continue right. Destroy the
bomb as you go along. Also defeat the nearby enemy and the candle further to
the right.
Snatch the star hanging above the ground, then progress right to find two
more like it. Cross the gap to find a useful health pack. Snatch it up and go
into the gap. Spin as you reach the bottom to deal with a pesky enemy and a
pesky candle. Then head left. Grab the stars, which are partially hidden in
mid-air by the stage features, and defeat the nearby enemy. As you continue
left, you also are able to grab one of those brown cannonball pickups.
Continue into the gap further to the left. Ignore the first ledge on the left
(just an enemy and dynamite). As you reach the bottom, spin to take out one
more pesky candle, then jump around to collect the nearby stars. Finally,
leap in the teleporter to the left.
On the other side, go left and grab some stars, then go into the gap. As you
reach the bottom of it, spin to deal with the bomb nearby, and possibly the
enemy nearby, too. Proceed to the right and cross the gap for a few stars,
then go into the aforementioned gap.
To the right, you should see a few stars you can gather, as well as a loaf of
bread to heal your health. To the left, you'll find Daffy Duck. Smack him a
good one, then grab the stars further to the left. Then leap into the
teleporter nearby.

FINAL BOSS (#5): Marvin the Martian
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
And so begins your final boss. You begin one of the three mid-air platforms. On
the ledge to the left and the ledge to the right are one health pickup each.
You can get them now, or when you need them. If you need to come back up here
later, simply get at the far left/right wall and use the tornado jump.
Your boss battle will primarily take place below against, how surprisingly,
Marvin the Martian. Marvin will primarily just shoot his laser gun at you. He
can shoot once every two or three seconds, and at two angles -- exactly
horizontal (due left/right), or up at a forty-five degree angle.
As one might guess, that leaves a critical blind spot just above him. We'll
discuss this more later. Anyways, damaging Marvin is not unlike the other boss
battles we've dealt with so far -- you just need to wait for him to begin to
reload his gun. You'll know he's doing so when you (the player) can see his
whole face and it's facing kinda downward at his weapon.
At that point, you can tornado-jump on him to damage him. I particularly
recommend doing so by getting as high as possible above him before doing so,
in case he reloads a little faster than expected. However, do not let him get
off-screen - that'll just move him back to the center of the arena when he
does get back on-screen, and he'll already (obviously) have reloaded.
You can abuse the sprite-loading mechanics here by getting far to the left or
right when Marvin is in the same extreme of his depressed walking area. This
will sort of cause him to get "stuck" there and, often when you walk back to
the right, that will cause him to begin reloading his gun, even though he never
shot (at you). Then all you need to do is attack!
After the battle, enjoy and the credits and...
