    INTRODUCTION
o---------------------o

Ever wanted to play in the big leagues? Now is your chance. Step up to the plate
with Sega's Reggie Jackson Baseball. It's so real you'll be grabbing for the
hotdogs as you hammer 'em out of the ball park! Play against the computer or
with a friend. Take your pick of twenty-six American or National City teams.
You can choose a mini two-out-of-three tournament, go for the Series or test
your batting skills in the Home Run contest. Reggie Jackson Baseball gives you
the power to select your pitchers and pitches, to bat high and low, to lead off
or try to steal your way around the bases. Is there a man leading off on second?
fake a pitch and catch him off base. Move fast and snatch a ground ball from the
infield for a double play! When the game is over, you'll get tips from Reggie
himself. Go far enough and win the Series! It's baseball action like you've
never seen before, only from Sega.

      GAMEPLAY
o---------------------o

At the start you are greeted with these options:

Exhibition Game - just pick a team and play only one game against an opponent.

Tournament - Keep playing a series of games until you lose or win the World
Series.

Watch Mode - Two CPU-controlled teams go at it.

Homerun Contest - You get 20 chances to hit as many homeruns as you can.

-Auto and Manual options ask if you want to have automatic or manual fielding
while the ball is airborne.

-Choose one of four starting pitchers. If you need to relieve a pitcher, press 1
and up on the D-pad when pitcher is set to choose one of up to four relief
pitchers. You lose one of your relief pitchers with each use.

-Choosing a pinch hitter works the same way except you press 1 and down on the
D-pad to chose your hitter.

-In watch mode, you can manipulate the home team by pressing the Swing button to
swing the bat or pitch the ball when on defense. The CPU still controls most of
the baserunning. Meaning it'll sometimes contradict your commands by returning
to base.

-An interesting feature to witness is that if a batter is hit by a pitch, he is
carted of the field as the benches will clear as the batter's teammates charge
the mound but fortunately no fights happen. A pinch runner will take his spot.

       RULES
o---------------------o

The home team always start on defense and the opposing team always starts on
offense.

If the ball reaches reaches the plate, it will be a strike if its within the
zone or a ball if it is way outside. The zone is above the knees and below the
neck.

Throw three strikes and the batter is out. Four balls and the batter will go to
first base automatically. The runners on base will advance automatically as
well. Get three outs to change sides.

If the batter is hit by a pitch, he automatically advances to first base.

If a bunt is a foul when two strikes are active, it counts as a third strike and
it results in a strikeout.

Ties at the end of 9 innings are decided by extra innings which the bottom must
meet the top teams score to stay alive or beat the score to win the game. If the
home team leads by the end of the top of the 9th, they win the game, thus there
is no need for a bottom of the 9th. If they are trailing, they can win the game
by simply taking the lead during the bottom of the 9th.
