classic Master System game. The first part of the guide details how to play the
game, and this is followed by the main walkthrough itself. As this is not a
particularly large game, I have not included any appendices at the back of the
guide. There isn't really enough stuff in the game to fill them.

In this guide, I always refer to Mickey in the second person (i.e. you, the
person reading this). Whenever Mickey is supposed to jump or pick something up
in the game, I write this as 'you'. This makes it far easier to write and to
read, even though it isn't strictly accurate.


Power
¯¯¯¯¯
You begin the game with two Power Stars. Each time you are hurt you will lose
one Power, and if all the Power is depleted you will lose a try. Power can be
restored by eating sweet foods, and there are Power Stars littered around the
land that can increase your Power total to a maximum of five.
There are, in fact, fourteen Power Stars in the whole game, and collecting all
of these means you have completely conquered the Land of Illusion.


Bouncing
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Most of the enemies in the game can be dispatched with a simple bounce. Jump
into the air and press the Bounce button to get into the bounce posture, then
just land on your intended target to knock it out. Bouncing can also be used to
destroy blocks and boxes. Not all enemies take kindly to being bounced upon,
however, and will hurt you when you land on them. Holding Jump after bouncing
can take you to higher areas, and landing on a slope while in the bounce
posture will cause you to slide to the bottom. You will knock enemies away
while sliding.


Swimming
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
In certain areas of the game, you will have to make your way through water.
There are two ways of swimming - on the surface or underwater. Once you are on
the surface you will stay on the surface until jumping or pressing Down, and
can swim left and right with no fear of drowning. Underwater, however, an Air
Gauge appears. This will slowly decrease while you are underwater, and when it
is depleted you will drown. This takes just over thirty seconds.


Arrow Markers

Passing one of these signposts saves your current position. If you are unlucky
enough to lose a try, you will restart from the last Arrow Marker activated.

Objects
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
You will find a number of different objects throughout the game. You can pick
these up and throw them at enemies, jump on them to reach higher areas, or use
them in a specific way to progress through levels.
The list of common objects is as follows:


Blocks: These may be stone cubes, apples, acorns or such like, and break upon
       impact. Their only real purpose is to be thrown at enemies.

Boxes: These chests contain useful items. Throw or bounce one of these to
      reveal the item that hides inside.

Honey Pots: These are useful objects that do not break when thrown, and can be
           moved around to reach higher locations.

Springs: These invaluable objects are also unbreakable, and can be moved around
        to bounce from in order to reach very high locations.

Lanterns: These unbreakable objects illuminate the area around while held.

Mouse Cubes: These unusual blocks, bearing the Mickey insignia, do not break on
           impact with the ground but are destroyed when they hit enemies.

Switches: These arrowed blocks cannot actually be carried, but their state can
         be changed by pulling them up or by standing on them.


Items
¯¯¯¯¯
The items that you can collect from boxes can be any of the following, and have
an instant effect:


Cake Slice: Restores one Power point

Cake: Restores two Power points

Small Coin: Adds 500 points to your score

Large Coin: Adds 2000 points to your score

Extra Try: Awards another chance at the level should you die
          (Every 20000 points scored also awards an Extra Try)


Special
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The following items are special one-of-a-kind items that are more difficult to
acquire and have special purposes:


Power Star: Adds one star to the Power Gauge, up to a maximum of 5, and
           completely restores all Power. Each Power Star you gain once your
           Power Gauge is at 5 will award you an Extra Try.
           (Collecting all 14 of these means the game is fully complete)

Magic Flute: Once you have acquired this, pausing the game on a level you have
            already completed will give you the option of leaving the level

Shrinking Potion: Once you have acquired this, pressing (1) while crouching
                 will cause you to shrink to half normal size. Performing the
                 same function while shrunk will restore you to normal.

Rope: Once you have acquired this, pressing Up and into a wall allows you
     to climb it. Letting go of Up will cause you to slide down again. You can
     jump while climbing to reach new locations.

Cloud Shoes: Once you have acquired these, you can walk on clouds.

Magic Beans: Plant these somewhere and see what happens!

Immediately head to the right and bounce on the Snake slithering towards you.
Continue to the right and pick up the stone block, then throw it at the next
Snake that comes your way. Climb up the vine to the branch above, and wait for
the leaf to float down to the right. Jump onto the leaf and then onto the next
branch (you can bounce the spider if you want to). There is another spider
scurrying around its web, and two leaves fall in front of it. Jump across these
leaves and onto the solid ground to the right. There is a box with a Cake in it
at the bottom of the cliff, so go down and collect it if you have lost any
Power. If you do this, however, you will have to go back round and across the
branches again, and will meet a Crow flying about as you do so.

On the top of the cliff, walk to the right until you reach another vine. Jump
onto it and climb to the top. There is a whirlwind moving back and forth
beneath you. Wait until it is to the left of the vine then jump off and quickly
head to the right, jumping onto the higher ground at the end. If you get caught
in the whirlwind you will be dragged left and right with it until you grab the
vine again.

Continue to the right and collect the Cake Slice from the box on the way. There
is another whirlwind to the right of here, but you want to let this one take
you with it. The whirlwind will carry you over some sharp thorns and to another
vine at the end. Grab hold of this as the whirlwind returns. As you do so, you
will see a Snake jump out of the grass to your right. You now have a choice.

If you want to continue through the level and pick up all the available
goodies, bounce attack the Snake and head through the door on the right. Read
from Option 1.

If you would rather finish the level now and collect everything later (part of
this level is inaccessible until later anyway), wait until the Snake reaches
the wall on the right. Bounce attack the Snake near the wall, then hold the
button to reach a hidden passage at the top of the wall. Continue to the right
and then climb up the vine in the small chamber. Read from Option 2.


Option 1 - Viper Trail
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Go right and activate the Arrow Marker. There is a box above you, but you can't
reach it by simply jumping. Instead, wait until the Snake approaches from the
grass then bounce from it up to the ledge. Collect the Large Coin from inside
and drop back down. There is a door leading into the tree on the right, but it
only contains a Cake Slice. If you need some Power, go inside and bounce on the
Spider, then pick up the Honey Pot. Throw it against the left-hand wall, then
use it to jump up to the ledge above. Collect the Cake Slice then return back
outside again.

Walk right and jump onto the vine. Climb to the branch above, Head left along
the green ledge, being careful to avoid the acorns and thorns that bounce down.
The thorns will hurt you, but the acorns are harmless and only push you back.
If you bounce on the green snake-like slope, you will slide down to the branch
below, so try to avoid doing this. Jump onto the platform above. There is a
doorway to the left which leads to a Cake Slice, so get it if you need it.

Jump across the platforms onto the branch on the right, then climb the vine.
Ascend the snakey ramp a little further, avoiding more bouncing objects, then
enter the door on the ledge above. Take care of the spider and pick up the
Honey Pot. Go back through the door and drop the Honey Pot just outside. Jump
on the Honey Pot then up to the ledge above. Bounce the snake. There is an
Arrow Marker to the right if you want to activate it, then jump to the left-
most branch and collect the Cake from the box. Climb the vine.


Option 2 - Big Mouth
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
When you reach the top of the vine, you will see the head of the huge snake to
the right. The jaws of this (rather friendly-looking) reptile are wide open,
making passage past impossible. Although I've called the Giant Snake a boss, it
isn't really one. Simply pick up the apple to the left and throw it into the
snake's mouth. If successful, the jaws will snap shut and you can walk over it.
Be very careful not to get too close while the jaws are still open, or you'll
will suffer the same fate as the apple. Luckily the Giant Snake seems to be a
vegetarian, so he will spit you out again with only the loss of one Power. If
you lose the apple, climb back down the vine then back up again and it will
have reappeared.

Head across the snake and down to the Magic Key at the end. Pick it up to make
the exit appear, then walk on out and back to the Map Screen.

Drop down the cliffs into the water, being careful to avoid the spikes on the
floor. It is best to swim on the surface here, so swim up until your head pops
up, then continue to the right. Jump over the Urchin (don't bounce it), then
descend into the pit between the spikes below to collect a Cake Slice. Swim
back up and keep going right. Jump the next Urchin. Descend to the floor again
to pick up the block, then throw it at the Pirahna swimming back and forth.
Swim across the surface over the spikes to the right,

There is a box near the spikes, but it is surrounded by two blocks. To reach
it, pick up the block to the left and throw it away, then swim to the surface
above the other block. Wait until the water level is at its lowest then bounce
the block to destroy it. Pick up and throw the box to reveal a Cake Slice,
which you can collect. Swim up to the right and jump out of the water. Jump to
the next ledge, then back into the water on the right, avoiding the Pirahna as
you do so. Pick up the block and knock the fish out of the water, then swim all
the way to the right wall. Bounce the two blocks below you when the water is
low, then swim up and get a final gulp of air.

Descend to the door at the bottom of the water and go through. The tunnel that
follows is filled with water, and strong currents will push you to the left
every several seconds. First of all, hit the Arrow Marker then swim to the gap
above to get some air. Wait until the current has gone past then drop down and
quickly swim to the right. Ignore the first vine and grab onto the next one
just before the current comes hurtling past. Let go of the vine and swim up to
the next gap, then wait again. Once the water has rushed past, submerged and
pick up the box. Smash it open to collect the Large Coin, then swim back up to
the gap again. Wait once more, then dive back down.

Swim all the way to the right, ignoring the first vine, and grab the vine just
to the left of the door. Wait until the current passes, then swim down and head
out of the door. Swim to the top of the water, avoiding the Pirahna, and jump
back out onto dry land. There is quicksand to the right, so run and jump across
it to avoid sinking. Two Pirahnas will jump out of the quicksand as you cross,
which you can either bounce on or avoid.

Drop into the water that follows, being very careful to avoid the Urchin that
is circling around. Pick up one of the blocks at the bottom and throw it at the
Urchin. It will drop the Magic Key, which you should pick up. The exit doesn't
appear to be in view, so swim out of the water and jump to the ledge on the
right. Jump the next two ledges to exit the level through the door at the top.

Throughout this first part of the level, you will be pursued by Flameys. These
enemies leave a trail of fire in their wake, and cannot be killed at all. The
first one is just to the left when you start. To avoid scorching, you will need
to be very quick. First of all, run to the right and jump onto the platform
above. Pick up the block and throw it to get past, then climb the ladder that
follows. Pick up the block (don't throw it yet), then jump to the ground below.
Throw the block at the box in the alcove (quickly!), and collect the Large
Coin. Now jump to the ledge above to get out of harm's way.

Bounce the two blocks in the gap, then pick up and throw the third one. Keep
going to the right, jumping the four flames as you do so, until you see a ledge
with a flame on the left side of it. As you run to the right side of the ledge,
another Flamey will drop down from an alcove above. Quickly jump onto the ledge
then go left and jump to the platform at the top. Pick up the box (don't throw
it yet), then continue to the right. Jump the two flames and you will come to
some water. Throw the box you are carrying at the box near the wall as you jump
into the water to yield a Small Coin and an Extra Try. The Flamey will follow
you into the water, but will be extinguished.

Pick up the box to the right and smash it to collect a Cake Slice, then head
right and jump out of the water. There is another Flamey waiting below you, so
jump over the flame to the right and then the row of three flames that follow.
Bounce on the box to collect the Small Coin then run to the right and jump up
the ledge to reach the platform above. Throw the two blocks barring your path,
then jump down to the floor. There is a door on the ledge above, and a box in
the right corner. Collect the Cake Slice from this box, then jump up and go
through the door to the next area.

Activate the Arrow Marker then jump onto the platform above the lava. Jump onto
the next platform and a Pygmy Dragon will jump out of the lava. These little
lizards spit a ball of flame when they reach the top of their jump, so are best
disposed of quickly. Bounce off the Pygmy Dragon onto the next platform, then
jump to the moving platform. Wait until the platform is at its peak then jump
to the next one. Collect the Cake Slice from the box then bounce off another
Pygmy Dragon and onto the next ledge.

There is a moving platform beneath you, but its motion takes it under the lava
for a short period. Wait until the platform begins to rise from the molten rock
before jumping down to it, then quickly jump off it again onto the ledge on the
right. Jump to the next ledge and take care of the Pygmy Dragon as you cross to
the third one. Jump across to the last ledge, then bounce off the Pygmy Dragon
into the middle of the platform that follows. If you aim it correctly, a box
will appear. Jump up to the box then bounce on it to collect a Small Coin.

Head to the right and bounce on the Candlestick, then jump on the Spring that
follows. Launch to the passage on the right, and go to the end to collect the
Large Coin from the box. Return to the beginning of the passage and jump down
to the Spring again, this time bouncing to the left to land on the ledge near
the top of the chamber. Climb the ladder.

You will see a red star behind a wall to the right, and a Spring behind a block
to the left. Bounce or throw the block to get it out the way, then pick up the
Spring. Place it in the middle of this small area, then bounce from it onto the
platform on the right. Drop down and collect your first Power Star (1)! This
increases your Power to 3. Jump back up to the top, then drop down and bounce
from the Spring onto the platform on the left.

Continue to the left, bouncing on the Candlestick on your way, then retrieve a
Small Coin from the box. Pick up the block near the lava and throw it at the
Candlestick patrolling the ledge to your left. This lava occasionally spits up
balls of fire that burn through the ledges and can hurt you if you are standing
there. Try and avoid the flames.

Jump to the ledge where the Candlestick was, then jump to the next one on the
left. Bounce off the Pygmy Dragon that pops up in front of you onto the next
platform. As you jump to the ledge to your left, another Pygmy Dragon sneaks up
behind. Bounce on it, then return to the ledge. Jump down to the large platform
below, and pick up the box. Throw it at the Candlestick on the next ledge to
reveal a Cake Slice, then jump over and collect it.

Jump to the next platform and bounce off the Pygmy Dragon that jumps up to land
on the ledge below it. Leap to the following ledge and then bounce off the last
Pygmy Dragon to land on solid ground again. Hit the Arrow Marker on your way to
the door, then head through to the boss.

Boss: Fire Dragon

The first real boss of the game is fairly easy. It will fly left and right
across the top of the screen, occasionally breathing fireballs when it reaches
either side. The fireballs bounce off walls and objects six times before they
dissipate, and can hurt you if touched. The Fire Dragon itself does not harm
you if you come into contact with it, not can it be bounced on. The only way to
defeat the dragon is to pick up the blocks strewn across the floor of the room
and throw them at it its head. After three hits the Fire Dragon is toast.

The Blacksmith falls into the chamber and a short dialogue ensues:

Horace: "The bad magic had me trapped in my own castle! Thanks for settin' me
        free. Your path lies through a tiny cavern up ahead, but, in order to
        enter it you have to shrink in size! There's a Shrinking Potion in the
        castle ruins. Now that the fire in my castle has weakened, the water
        in the lake has risen. You should be able to find a passage to the
        ruins from the lake. Please accept this Magic Flute. Use it, and it
        will take you back to any place you have travelled before."

platform contains the exit from the level, which you can take now if you wish.

However, if you would rather increase your Power Gauge, descend along the wall
on the left side of the platform and go through the door at the bottom. You are
now back in the flooded tunnel again, but there are no currents this time. Swim
along past the first two vines until you reach the second gap in the ceiling
above. This time, the water continues into the area above, so swim up and jump
out into a small chamber. Collect the prize that awaits you - a Power Star (2).
With a Power Gauge four stars wide, return to the tunnel and swim back to the
entrance door. Go through and back up to the platform above the water. Go to
the right and exit the level.

As soon as you begin walking to the left, the room goes completely dark. Pick
up the Lantern to the left and the room lights up again. Somehow, the Lantern
only works while you are holding it. Continue to the left and throw the Lantern
at the Pumpkin heading towards you. Pick up the Lantern again, then throw it at
the Ghost hovering about below. Ghosts can't be killed, and are only stunned
for a couple of seconds if hit. Pick up the Lantern quickly, then run to the
left and throw it against the wall. Jump up and onto the platform above.

Head to the left and grab the next Lantern, which you should immediately throw
at the Pumpkin heading your way. Grab the Lantern again, then throw it at the
box in the floor ahead. Collect the Cake Slice that appears, then pick up the
Lantern again. Continue to the left, past another Ghost and a Pumpkin, then
throw the Lantern against the wall on the left. Jump up to the ledge above.

Walk up to the left edge, then bounce on the Pumpkin floating up and down over
the spikes to land on the ground beyond. Walk to the left, past the ladder, and
tag the Arrow Marker. There is a Power Star on the ledge way above, but you
can't reach this yet. Instead, climb down the ladder.

At the bottom, walk to the right and up to the edge of the spike pit. Bounce
off the Pumpkin onto the ledge above, then bounce the next two Pumpkins in
succession to land safely on the platform at the end. Bounce the last Pumpkin
to land on the floor again. At the next pit, wait until the Ghost is near the
centre before bouncing off of it onto the platform opposite. Bounce the next
Ghost and then climb the ladder. Walk to the right along the passage and grab
a Cake Slice from the box blocking the way. Climb down the ladder.

There are nine Mouse Cubes here. Pick up the left-most one and carry it to
the spike pit on the right. Throw it a little way into the pit, then get
another Mouse Cube and do the same. With the third Mouse Cube, jump to the two
already on the spikes and throw it a bit further. There are two Pumpkins above
these spikes so be careful. Grab the fourth Mouse Cube and pair this with the
third, then continue grabbing the cubes and creating small platforms to jump
across. Do not bounce on the Pumpkins to reach a Mouse Cube, as bouncing the
Mouse Cubes destroys them (even though hitting enemies with them doesn't).

Once you are safely on the right side of the pit, hit the Arrow Marker to your
right then drop into the next area. You will see three Mouse Cubes against the
left wall and a door in the centre. Before going through, however, pick up the
top of the three Mouse Cubes on the left and put it near the right wall. Grab
the next two Mouse Cubes and put them on top of the first, then jump up on them
and up to the platform above. Acquire the Large Coin from the box at the end,
then return to the main chamber and go through the door.

This next area scrolls automatically, so there is a danger of being crushed.
The screen scrolls to the right normally, but the direction is reversed while
you are standing on any of the grey buttons dotted around. First of all, head
to the right, picking up and throwing the four blocks en route. Once you are
clear of these, jump up to the ledge above and bounce through the four blocks
back to the floor.

Run to the right and immediately jump up to the blue ledge above. Quickly jump
to the top platform on the left, then throw the first block to smash the box on
the left and reveal a Cake. Throw the second block to clear the path, then run
across and grab the Cake. Drop back to the floor then keep heading right. Avoid
or bounce the Pumpkin guarding the small passage, and head through. Jump up
through the blue ledge, and bounce all four blocks to the left. Keep heading
right and into the last area. The screen stops scrolling and there is a Key
against the right wall. Pick it up, avoiding the Pumpkins that float from the
right wall, and head back to the button on the left. Make sure you keep hold of
the Key throughout the next paragraph.

Stand on the button to make the screen scroll back, and wait until you are on
the right of the screen before running to the left and dropping down to the
next button. Wait again, then run to the next button. Repeat this process until
you reach a button to the right of two blocks barring your way. Quickly throw
the Key onto the button, then jump on top of it and pick up the block to your
left. Throw it, then drop down and pick up the other one. After disposing of
it, pick up the Key again, by which time the screen should almost to the right.

Run to the left and stand on the last button, then wait until the large red
gate comes into view on the left. Throw the Key at the gate and it will open.
Head to the left and activate the Arrow Marker. This will pull the screen back
to the left permanently. Now the place is secure, head through the door and
into the boss chamber.

The cloth-like object on the left rises into a familiar shape, and you must now
battle the Ghost King. The ghost moves left and right across the screen in a
'U' shape, descending close to the floor as it does so. Be careful not to let
the Ghost King touch you, as it hurts. Instead, bounce onto it when it reaches
the bottom of the screen. After you have done this, it crumbles before rising
again, this time with a small flame in tow. Repeat the same attack procedure,
trying to hit the Ghost King as it begins to ascend so that the flame is below
it. Each successive hit adds another flame, until you have hit it four times.
At this point the Ghost King is fully flattened.

Walk to the right and pick up the block, then throw it at the Caterpillar is it
rolls towards you. Press Down and (1) to shrink, then walk through the passage.
Jump up onto the ledge above and walk along to avoid the Caterpillar below,
then continue onto the moving floor. Wait until the floor is low then walk
under the spikes. Head along to the right again, jumping over the Sand Beetle
in the pit (this cannot be killed). Continue right and jump over the next Sand
Beetle, then drop to the platform below.

Head right until you able to return to normal size, then bounce the Caterpillar
that drops down. Keep going along and jump onto the ledge above. Run along the
moving floor, under the low wall and the spikes that follow, then jump out and
head into the next area.

You will be back to normal size, so shrink again then hit the Arrow Marker.
Keep going to the right, under the passage, and wait until the Sand Beetle
buries itself before continuing. You will notice there is a platform in the
background with Sand Beetles in it. Don't worry, these won't hurt you while you
are in the foreground. Jump over the two walls that follow, then return to
normal size above the blocks. Bounce through the blocks then head up to the
Caterpillar. Draw it back to the gap in the blocks then bounce on the
Caterpillar, before walking to the right up to the vine.

Climb the vine, go right along the passage, then climb the next vine. Head to
the left, avoiding the Sand Beetle, then climb the middle of the three vines on
the left. When you reach the top, you will see a Spider scurrying up and down
the right-most vine. Bounce off it when it is at its lowest onto the platform
on the right. Head right until you reach the purple doorway, then go through to
fall into the background.

When you reach the bottom, shrink. Run to the left to avoid the Spider on the
ceiling, then continue to the left. Jump over the Sand Beetle you saw earlier,
then walk left until you reach another one. Wait until it returns to the earth,
then run past and return to normal size so you can pick up the Magic Key. Go
left and exit the level.

You will land on a rose. Jump to the rose to the right, then bounce on the
Inchworm crawling on the third. Jump to the next rose and a Bumble Bee will
fly out of the rose to the right. Wait until it approaches then bounce it
(these bees have a habit of flying above you and then diving to sting you).

Drop to the floor and retrieve the Small Coin from the box. Head right,
bouncing the next Bumble Bee as it strikes, then jump up to the edge of a row
of muncher plants. The closed rose above you spits out seeds to the left and
right that turn into petals as they descend. Wait until a petal descends over
the munchers then jump onto it and from it to the other side.

Run to the right and bounce another Bumble Bee, then keep going until you reach
a box. Quickly acquire the Cake Slice from it, being careful to avoid the dew
drops falling from the rose above (these hurt). Hop up the ledges and you will
come to another, much longer, row of munchers. There is a dandelion behind you
that spits its fruit across the munchers. Jump onto one of the fruits as it
floats to the right and you will begin to descend. Quickly jump to allow the
fruit to raise a little, then land on it again as you fall. Continue this
process, keeping careful distance from the muncher plants, until you are safely
on the other side.

Grab the acorn to the right and throw it at the Inchworm to the right. Jump to
the rose it inhabited. The floor beneath is now a bed of thorns, so make sure
you stay on the roses and their leaves from now on. Jump to the leaf on the
right and quickly jump to the next leaf on the right before it falls. Bounce
the closed rose nearby to reveal a box, from which you can grab a Large Coin.

Jump to the leaf on the right to be out of sight of the rose with the unstable
leaf, then head back to the left. The leaf will be restored, so jump back to it
then quickly jump up to the rose above. You now have a choice - you can either
get the Power Star that is on this level or else finish the level straight
away, given below as Options 1 and 2 respectively. Read from the option that
you wish to take.


Option 1 - Butterflight
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Shrink when you land on the rose, the wait until the Butterfly flies across
from the right. Bounce on the Butterfly (it won't be killed because you are
shrunk). As the Butterfly continues flying to the left, keep bouncing on it so
as to stay at this height. If you accidentally miss the Butterfly and fall to
the ground, head all the way back and try again. Eventually, you will see a
rose on a level with the Butterfly, and a Power Star sitting on top. Wait until
you are close enough, then land on the rose to collect the Power Star (3). Now
that you have a full Power Gauge, drop to the floor and make your way back to
the rose you started from.


Option 2 - Rose Row

From the high rose, bounce off the Butterfly onto the higher rose on the right.
Jump to the next rose and procure an Extra Try from the box. Bounce or avoid
the Bumble Bee that pops out of the nearby rose, then jump all the way down to
the rose on the right below you and bounce the Inchworm in the process. Bounce
onto the closed rose nearby and you will reveal the Magic Key. Pick it up, then
drop to the floor and exit the level.

Head right and pick up the ball, then quickly hug the wall to avoid being hit
to the cannonball from above. Jump onto the ledge and throw the ball to destroy
the the Cannon, then continue to the right. Make your way past the two balls
then pick up the Honey Pot. Carry it a little to the right and drop into onto
the red button, keeping your distance from the Cannon's fire to the right. The
gate opens, so jump across and bounce the Cannon. Head through the door.

Bounce onto the Toy Fish swimming back and forth on the water jet beneath you,
then fight your way along the jet to towards the water gun. Collect the Cake
Slice from the box, then return to the right and drop to the next water jet.
Bounce onto the Toy Fish below, then descend two more jets to knock out a third
Toy Fish. Drop down once more and then onto the floor. Ignore the door to the
left (it only leads to a Smack-in-the-Box), and bounce the Cannon to the right.
Bounce off the next Cannon near the right wall onto the blocks to the left of
it to fall to the area below. Notice the Power Star behind the gate, then head
through the door.

Run along the toy piano, and you will see two tied Quavers heading your way.
Bounce on the Quavers and they will split. Dispose of another two Quavers as
you continue along the piano, then collect the Large Coin at the end. You can
now choose to collect the next Power Star or continue through the level. Choose
the respective option from below:


Option 1 - Spikey Hallway
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Go through the door to the left of the piano, then activate the Arrow Marker to
your right. Jump over the spikes onto the small ledge, then jump onto the yoyo.
While on the yoyo, you will descend unless you push Right to spin the yoyo back
up. Avoid both the floor and ceiling spikes, and jump to the right. Hop the
last couple of spikes to land on a red button, opening the door to the right.
Drop down and collect the Power Star (4), then head right and through the door.
Make your way back across the toy piano again, and back to the door.


Option 2 - Deeper Inside
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Ignore the door and head left. Pass by the falling cards, minding that they
don't hit you, then walk up to the edge of some spikes. There is a Smack-in-
the-Box in the middle of the spikes. This weird toy cannot be destroyed, but it
can be useful to reach awkward areas later. It throws a punch from each of its
sides in a clockwise motion, launching it from the floor when it punches down.
Jump towards the Smack-in-the-Box when it punches to the right, then jump to
safety when it punches down and carries you a little higher. Avoid some more
falling cards as you head to the left, then go through the door at the end.

Walk right and jump onto the Smack-in-the-Box as it punches to the right. When
it punches down, wait until you are as high as possible before jumping up to
the ledge above. Pick up the box then hop a little to throw it at the Toy Fish
on the water jet above. Retrieve the Cake Slice it provides from the water,
then jump up to the next water jet. Jump to the water gun and then to the next
jet, and cross over to the left wall. Pick up the ball and throw it at the Toy
Fish on the last water jet, then jump up and onto the chequered platform.

There is a Cannon in a small alcove above, and a yoyo descends to meet you.
Wait until the Cannon has just fired, then jump on the yoyo and run to the
right to ascend. Stop just after you enter the screen above, else you will run
straight up into some spikes. Jump off to the right, then head down and go
through the door. Pick up the Small Coin from the box, then go back out. Jump
over the ledge and grab the ball, then throw it at the hanging ball to release
a Key. Pick up the Key and throw it at the locked gate on the right to open it.
Head right and go through the door.

You will drop from the door onto a gate below you. Head through the door in the
middle and pick up the Honey Pot. Go back out and throw it onto the red button
on the left. Stay in line with the door to fall on the small ledge below. If
you miss the ledge you will drop back down to the toy piano area, and will have
to go all the way round again. Go through the door on the ledge.

Shrink, then walk a little to the left. Wait until the Smack-in-the-Box jumps
into the air, then run underneath. Pass by all four Smack-in-the-Boxes embedded
in the floor and ceiling of the small passage. When the glove pokes out, it is
about to punch, so be careful. Return to normal size, then go through the door
on the far left.

Grab the Cake from the box, then jump onto the Key and up to the ledge above.
Drop onto the button and the crane above will move to the right. When it is
right above the Key, jump off the button and the crane will lower. If you timed
it correctly, it should pick up the Key and drop it beside you. Otherwise, keep
trying. Pick up the Key and throw it at the gate to the left. Head left and hit
the Arrow Marker, then go through the door to meet the boss.

Boss: Court Cards

A set of three cards drops into the room. It will begin to bounce left and
right across the room. Bounce on the Court Cards and one of the cards will fall
away. Repeat this to leave just one card. At this point, the single card will
spin quickly back and forth across the room. Jump over it until it stops, then
bounce it before it starts spinning again. While the card is spinning it cannot
be hurt, so don't bother trying. After you have hit the card three times it
will fold.

The Toymaker drops into the screen, and engages you in conversation.

Goofy: "Gawrsh! I couldn't get away from my own toys! Thank you for releasing
       me, Mickey. You'll see a cliff up ahead. If you wanna climb it, you'll
       need the Rope in the palace ruins. Just to say thanks, I'll shoot off
       this here toy cannon to destroy the boulders blockin' your path!"

Pick up the block to the right, then jump onto the sloping pillar. Be careful
not to fall off along here, as there are many sharp spikes below. When you
reach the top of the pillar, throw the block at the Bat that flutters down.
Jump to the pillar below, then onto the next sloping pillar. Wait at the bottom
until another Bat nears you, then bounce on it. Quickly jump again when you
land, else you will slide into the spikes. Jump onto the next pillar then onto
the ground. Wait until the Jumping Rock is to the left of the ledge above, then
bounce on it to turn it into a block. Jump up and onto the ledge to collect the
Cake Slice (watching out for the fireballs from the right). Drop back down and
head to the right. Carefully make your way up the ladder to the area above.

There are some blocks above you and a Magma Ball on top. Wait directly beneath
the Magma Ball until it explodes. The three rocks that fly out should destroy
part of the block wall, so jump up and head left. Bounce the Magma Ball below
then get clear of it before it explodes. Jump over the next Magma Ball and up
to the ledge on the left. Climb the ladder and procure the Cake Slice and Small
Coin from the boxes. Head back down and the Magma Ball will be near the blocks
beneath you. Bounce the Magma Ball then get out the way. The explosion should
cause the blocks to be destroyed, so head through. Jump the gargoyle and avoid
the fireballs as you make your way along, then climb the ladder at the end.

Grab the Honey Pot and jump up to the platform above. Watch the fireballs as
you jump to the next ledge, then throw the Honey Pot to the next platform.
Climb up one of the ladders, then wait beneath the Magma Rock on the stones
above. Once it explodes, pick up the Honey Pot and jump up through the gap left
behind. Jump to the next platform, then drop the Honey Pot. Use this step to
reach the top platform, avoiding both sets of fireballs.

Head right, bouncing or avoiding any Bats that come your way (watch out from
attacks from behind). Also beware of the gargoyle spitting fireballs to your
right. Jump over and go through the door at the end. The next area requires a
considerable amount of speed and precision, so be warned.

Throughout this area will be many Spikers that travel around the screen leaving
a trail of Spikers behind them. If you do not move quickly here, you may find
yourself trapped between walls of death. Immediately run past the Arrow Marker
and drop down the hole on the right, pulling left as you fall. Run left and
down the next hole, keeping in the centre of the hole as you fall so as to
avoid the Spikers on either side. Run to the right when you land and jump off
the edge, holding Bounce and pulling to the left. If you aim it right, you
should break open the box in the left corner as you land and collect the Cake
Slice inside. Don't hang about though, as more Spikers are on their way. Run
straight to the right and drop down, pulling left. Run left when you land, then
drop off the end before running right and picking up the block. Head a little
to the right and stand at the edge of the hole. Throw the block away. You are
now safe for the moment.

Drop down the hole to the right and pull to the left to avoid the collection of
Spikers on the right. Pick up the box as soon as you land then run to the right
and drop down another hole, keeping hold of the box. Pull left as you fall,
then run to the left and jump as if you are going to bounce the block. Throw
the box at the other box in the corner, then quickly hold Bounce to destroy the
block below and collect the Cake Slice and the Extra Try you just released.
Turn around and drop down the hole to safety. This last part is not easy to get
right, and it is possible you will either fall through the gap near the block
or take too long and get hit by the Spikers.

Once you land, the trial is over. Activate the Arrow Marker then grab the Cake
from the box on the right. There is a boulder rolling back and forth beneath
you. Wait until the boulder is heading back to the right wall before dropping
down. Quickly grab the block and drop down, throwing the block as you fall.
Repeat this for the next two blocks, the boulder close on your tail, until you
drop into the boss room below.

Boss: Rolling Stone

The boulder that was following you also happens to be the boss of this level.
Avoid it as it falls into the room and rolls to the left wall. The Rolling
Stone will begin to spin. If it spins towards the wall it means it is about to
roll up it and launch across the room, then roll back and smash into the wall.
If it is spinning away from the wall it will shortly race across the floor and
smash into the other wall. Either way, avoid it as best you can. The Rolling
Stone is immune to bouncing so don't try. When it smashes into the wall, a
Jumping Rock falls from above, and the Rolling Stone grins for a few seconds.
Quickly bounce the Jumping Rock, then pick it up and throw it at the Rolling
Stone before it stops grinning. If you are too late, wait until the next
chance - don't waste the stone. The Rolling Stone will then continue to smash
into either wall, each time causing a Jumping Rock to fall (unless you are
carrying the previous one). Once you have hit it four times, the Rolling Stone
will fly into the middle of the room and smash to pieces.

In the rubble of the stone, you will find the Rope. Pick it up, and a short
message will tell you how to use it. Pick up the Magic Key that appears, then
exit the level to the left.

Make your way through the level to the great tree. Climb up the snake, avoiding
the debris bouncing down, until you come to the second door (it is on the far
left of the tree, on a ledge). Go in, and climb the wall on the right. When you
reach the top, jump onto the ledge on the left to grab the Power Star (5). With
this in your possession, pause the game and use the Magic Flute to exit.

Go right and jump onto the block. Don't be tempted to kill the Vulture yet.
Climb the wall on the right then turn around. Wait until the Vulture is just
approaching the peak of its circle then bounce off of it to the left. If you
aim it right, you should bounce on a pair of floating blocks and grab a Power
Star (9), after which you inevitably fall back to the start.

Climb the wall on the right again, then climb the next one to stand on the
block at the top. There is a boulder rolling back and forth next to you, so
wait until it begins rolling away. Drop down and pick up the block, then jump
over the boulder so it rolls off the edge. Throw the block away, then climb
the wall to the right.

As soon as you reach the top, watch out for the Vulture circling. Grab a block
nearby and throw it at the pesky bird. Climb the wall on the right. At the top,
wait until the boulder begins rolling away from you then bounce both blocks
below before returning to the safety of the small ledge. After the boulder has
become trapped in the small hole, jump over and crack open the box to collect
a Cake Slice. Climb the last wall. Walk towards the Caterpillar then jump over
or bounce on top of it as it races past off the edge. Stand in the centre of
this ledge and bounce up to reveal a hidden box. Collect the Small Coin inside
then head right into the cave.

This area is very dark, and only becomes illuminated when you are near one of
the lanterns in the walls. Shrink (it makes the next section easier), then hit
the Arrow Marker. Continue to the right and drop onto the moving floor. Head
under the wall and stop between the spikes on the ceiling. Wait until the floor
lowers again then run under the next wall. Jump over the ledge that follows and
under another wall, then wait in the alcove above. Run under the following wall
and wait in another alcove, then continue to the next. Jump up to the box and
return to normal size to collect a Large Coin, then shrink and drop back down.

Continue to the right, waiting in the gap in the ceiling as you do so, then
jump onto solid ground at the end. Drop onto the next moving floor and head
under another wall, then wait between the two sets of spikes before leaving the
cave to the right.

Back outside, activate the Arrow Marker then climb the wall to the right, being
wary of the Vulture as you climb. When you reach the top of the screen above,
jump off the wall and bounce the Vulture to land on the ledge on the left. Grab
the Large Coin inside, then return to the ground to climb the wall again. Go to
the very top this time, avoiding another Vulture on the way. You will see a
boulder rolling back and forth just above you. Wait until it begins rolling to
the left before climbing out and bouncing on the block next to you. Hug the
right wall until the boulder rolls away, then climb up.

When you are at the very top, bounce off the Vulture circling here to land on
the ledge on the left. Pick up the Magic Key and the exit will appear in the
small alcove on the right. Drop back down to the floor below, then climb the
wall on the right again to take the door out of the level.

Head right, and pick up the block as a Vulture swoops down from above. Throw
the block at the Vulture, then continue to the right. Bounce the Rattlesnake
(an eye poking through some moving sand), then bounce the Vulture that strikes
from behind. Bounce the next Rattlesnake, then jump all the way up to the top
of the pyramid that follows. Bounce the Cactus at the top, then descend down
the other side of the pyramid. You now have the choice of collecting a couple
of items, or heading straight into the main area of this level. Read from the
respective option below:


Option 1 - Cactus Hills
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Pick up one of the blocks and continue to the right. Throw the block at a
Vulture that swoops down, then bounce the Rattlesnake. Bounce another Vulture
as it descends then continue right to a wall. Shrink, then go through the door.

Return to normal size, then head right. Bounce the Cactus as you walk up the
hill, then slide down the other side to knock another Cactus away. Clamber up
the next hill then slide down again to knock a third Cactus from your path.
Keep heading right, all the way to the end. A Vulture will swoop down carrying
the Magic Key. If you bounce the Vulture at the bottom of its descent, and then
hold the position as you fall, you should cause two secret boxes to appear.

Pick up the Magic Key. Another Vulture appears, so repeat the procedure above
if you failed to find the secret boxes last time. Procure a Cake Slice and a
Large Coin from the boxes, then go through the exit to the right. Go straight
back into the level, then head all the way back to the right side of the large
pyramid where you started.


Option 2 - The Great Pyramid
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
From the right side of the pyramid, head left underneath it until you reach a
large stone. Hop up to the ledge immediately above, and pick up the block to
the right to reveal a tiny door. Throw the block away (try to hit the Cactus
above if you wish), then shrink. Go into the pyramid.

Once you land, return to normal size. The pyramid contains many red and green
blocks. While one of the coloured blocks is sticking out from the wall, the
other will be embedded in it. Blocks sticking out of the wall can be walked on,
and can bar your progress. Blocks embedded in the wall have no effect on you.
The switches dotted around the pyramid toggle which of the two colours, red or
green, are embedded. Changing the state of the blocks is the key to making it
through this level.

Okay, first of all, pull up the switch on the right to toggle blocks over the
spike pit. This creates a bridge over the pit and drops a box onto the bridge.
Jump onto the bridge and grab a Small Coin from the box on the left. Drop down
to the left, then shrink to go through the small door on the right of the large
one. Back outside the pyramid, pick up and throw the box to collect the Large
Coin inside, then jump up and go back round to enter the pyramid again. Head
across the bridge then through the door near the wall.

This next section is another automatic scrolling area, but this time a wall of
spikes appears on the left. As the screen scrolls to the right, be very careful
not to get too near to the spikes for fear of hurting (or perhaps crushing).
In other words, you will need to move fast.

Immediately run to the right and past the Arrow Marker. Climb the wall, then
run right through the passage, quickly picking up and throwing the three blocks
barring your path. Drop down at the end, then quickly make your way past three
Spikers moving up and down. Run to the right as much as possible, and pull up
the switch near the wall. This causes the red block above to protrude, so head
a little left and jump up (before the spikes reach you). Run through the green
blocks that are now out of the way, then bounce through the three blocks just
below you to push the switch. This causes a bridge to appear over the spikes
and a box to fall down. Get the Large Coin from inside then cross over. As soon
as you drop onto the floor below, bounce the Cactus. You are now safe.

There is a door in the centre of this room which you can't get to, so jump onto
the ledge on the right and pull up the switch. Jump onto the red blocks that
appear beneath the door, then head through to the next area.

Hit the Arrow Marker to your right and bounce the Cactus heading towards you.
Continue to the right, and throw away one of the blocks either side of the
switch. Pull up the switch to remove the green wall in front of you, and jump
up through it. Because of the switch, there is a red bridge below that blocks
access to a Key. Don't worry, we'll be getting that from another way later.

Head to the right edge of the bridge. There is a large spike pit below and a
rotating platform to the right. Jump to the platform when it as its nearest,
then wait on the end of it until you can safely jump to the next (much faster)
one. Jump again to land on some solid ground above the spikes.

There is a gold platform below you which moves when you stand on it. The way
you are facing while standing on the platform determines which direction the
platform moves in. Drop down and face right to move to the right. As you
approach the gargoyles shooting fireballs downwards, wait by tapping left and
right, then go underneath when it is safe. Drop down the hole at the end.

When you land, grab a Cake Slice from the box beside you, then shrink. Run
through the small passage to the left, carefully dodging the fireballs, until
you are safely out the other side. Return to normal size to get the block out
of the way, then shrink again. Jump up to the ledge above, and three Spikers
will begin rushing across the room above (it's lucky you are so small!).

Drop down the other side of the wall and return to normal size. Wait until the
Spikers are approaching from the right, then climb the wall. If you time it
right, you should reach the top just after the Spikers head back to the right.
Drop off the ledge to the left. Run to the left, and stop just after the gold
platform above you, being careful to avoid the fireballs from above.

Jump up to the platform and face left to run into the wall. Jump up to the
ledge above and jump on the switch. This reverses the red and green blocks
again, so drop down off the left side of the ledge and up to the ladder. There
is a locked gate to your left. Climb the ladder and up into a familiar area
above. Now that you have toggled the blocks, you can easily jump over and pick
up the Key. Do so, then drop back down to the area below.

Throw the Key at the gate, but don't go through it yet. Instead, climb the
ladder again, and pick up another Key which has miraculously appeared. Drop
down again, then head left through the open gate. Activate the Arrow Marker,
then drop the Key just to the left of the door. Jump onto the Key and then up
to the ledge above, then go through the secret passage to your left. Drop into
the hidden room to collect another Power Star (10). Climb back up the right
wall and return to the door. Go through to meet the boss.

Boss: Baby Serpent

A large egg emerges from the sand to the right, and rolls after you. The egg
will move left and right in your direction, and takes no damage from bouncing.
Run to either wall and wait until the egg approaches. As soon as it is about to
hit you, jump over it. The egg should smash into the wall and start rolling
again. After the third smash, the egg rolls slowly away and the Baby Serpent's
head pokes up. Quickly bounce it, then the egg will begin rolling again. After
smashing into the wall again, the Baby Serpent appears once more. Bounce it for
the second time and the Baby Serpent will break through the egg and bury itself
under the sand. The Baby Serpent will now behave very much like one of the
Rattlesnakes, only much bigger. Bounce on the moving sand hill to force the
Baby Serpent to jump out. After a couple of jumps the Baby Serpent will bury
itself under the sand again, so quickly bounce on it before it does so. Repeat
this process until you've hit the Baby Serpent three times, after which it
sinks beneath the sand for good.

Out of kindness, the Baby Serpent brings up the Cloud Shoes from the sand below
before descending again. Grab the shoes to be told of their purpose, then pick
up the Magic Key that appears. Exit the level through the door on the left.

As soon as you enter, a voice will speak to you:

"All kinds of enemies will try to stop you, Mickey. Please,by all means be
careful."

Could that be the Princess?

You may be surprised to find the Magic Key immediately to your right, but it
will all become clear in a moment. Pick it up, and the exit door will appear in
the small room above you. There is no way to get to this room from where you
are at the moment, so head to the right. When you reach the Spring, wait until
a Pumpkin floats in from the right. Bounce high off the Pumpkin, just to the
right of the Spring, to cause a secret box to appear near the top. Bounce off
the Spring and onto the box, then collect the Large Coin inside. Pick up the
Spring and drop it near the right wall, then launch up to the ledge above.

Shrink to get through the passage, then remain shrunk. Let the two Pumpkins
pass by below you, then drop to the ledge below. Wait until a Pumpkin hovers in
from the left, then bounce onto it repeatedly to get across the spike pit. On
the other side, walk right and bounce onto the Ghost to cross another pit of
sharp spikes. Don't be tempted to return to normal size just yet.

Jump across the spikes onto the Spring in the middle, then launch up to the
right and bounce off the Pumpkin onto the ledge above. Traverse the next row of
spikes by carefully bouncing off the two Ghosts patrolling it. Being tiny stops
you from stunning the Ghosts and makes crossing much easier. When you reach the
other side, return to normal size and activate the Arrow Marker.

There are two doors here. Both doors lead to different hallways that take you
to the same place. The bottom door is the easiest of the two, but only contains
a Cake Slice for you to collect. The upper door is much more difficult, but is
essential if you want to collect this level's Power Star. The two routes are
described below. Once you reach the end of the route, continue the walkthrough
from 'Back on Track'.


Option 1 - The Lower Door
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Go through the bottom door and head right. Bounce on the swooping Shadow that
is heading your way, then continue to the right to bounce another Shadow. Keep
going, avoiding the fireballs from the gargoyle ahead, until you come to a
wall of gargoyles. There is no way of reaching the platform above on your own,
so you will have to make use of the Shadow that swings into view. Wait until
the Shadow is low to the ground near the wall and bounce from it up to the
ledge. If you miss the ledge, go back left a little then return to tempt down
another Shadow. All this time, be very careful of the fireballs.

At the top, continue to the right and over the gargoyle. It won't fire before
you are at a safe distance, so don't worry. Dispose of the Shadow that floats
in, then turn around and bounce another one that sneaks in from behind. Go
through the door on the right. Continue from 'Back on Track' below.


Option 2 - The Upper Door
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Jump up onto the step then go through the top door. Most of the floor of this
area is covered in a purple liquid (acid perhaps?). Unlike lava and spikes,
this stuff kills you instantly, so be very, very careful. Jump over onto the
rotating platform when it nears you, then off it onto a ledge.

Wait until the next rotating platform is reachable, then jump to it. Stand
from the very edge and jump to the next, faster platform, then off that onto
a safe ledge again. There is another platform to jump to, so leap all the way
across to it. Jump from the platform and bounce off the Pumpkin onto the ledge.

Leap across to the next platform, then wait until the fast platform to the
right is reachable. Jump across then onto the floor again. Bounce off the last
Pumpkin and onto the ledge. Climb the wall on the right to collect the next
Power Star (11), then drop back down and go through the door. Continue below.


Back on Track
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Bounce off the Pumpkin that floats in from the left, and grab the ladder above,
avoiding the second Pumpkin. Climb up once the Spiker above has moved to the
right, then quickly jump over it and the three Mouse Cubes. Duck behind the
right-most Mouse Cube until the Spiker heads back to the right, then pick up
the Mouse Cube and drop it on the one on the left. This traps the Spiker in the
left part of the screen with you safely on the right. Pick up the third Mouse
Cube and jump onto the other two. Leap up to the platform above.

Drop the Mouse Cube onto the only other one on this platform, then jump up from
them to the next platform. Mind the Spiker as you do this. Jump over the two
Mouse Cubes and the Spiker between them, then pick up the left Mouse Cube just
as the Spiker moves away from it. Quickly jump over the Spiker and the other
Mouse Cube, then drop the one you are carrying onto it. Jump onto the two Mouse
Cubes then up to yet another platform.

Pick up and throw the box on the right to get a Cake Slice, then climb the left
wall past the Spiker. Jump over to the small ledge on the right then climb the
wall next to it, avoiding the first Pumpkin. Stop before the second Pumpkin and
wait until it passes, then jump over to the left wall, getting into a bounce
posture as you fall against it. When you land on the ledge below, a secret box
will appear. Smash it open to get an Extra Try.

Climb the left wall and past the Spiker onto the next platform. Climb the right
wall to the top, then bounce off the Pumpkin to the left onto the ledge. Head
through the door to the next area.

Shrink, as it makes this next part much easier. Carefully activate the Arrow
Marker to the left, avoiding the Spikers. When the Spikers begin to rise, run
to the left and stop in the gap. Wait until they rise again before running to
safety. Head a little to the left and stop before the big Mummy Spiker moving
up and down. Run underneath it as it rises, then quickly run under all the
Spikers (don't bother waiting in the gap - you can make it).

Go under the moving platform the under the whole of the next row of Spikers.
Jump past the Mummy Spiker, then race past the last Spiker row as it rises. On
the other side, return to normal size and collect the Cake Slice, then jump up
to the ledge. Shrink again, and wait until the Spikers to the left just begin
to descend. When they do, run straight across (you won't fall down the holes if
you keep running), and drop to the floor.

Head left, then wait until the Spiker is at its lowest and the Mummy Spiker
begins to rise before jumping through and down the hole beyond. You are back at
the beginning again, only now in the room with the exit door. Go out, and you
will meet the Princess.

Minnie: "If you plant these Beans beneath the phantom's cloud castle, a
        beanstalk will grow into the clouds, carrying you with it. The clouds
        have moved out to sea, so you must plant the seeds on an island in the
        ocean so that the beanstalk will grow in the right place. There is a
        stone pyramid in the desert. There you will find the magic Cloud Shoes
        which will help you walk on cloud vapor without falling through. You
        may not see an entrance at first, but if you try hard and use your
        head, I'm sure you will find it. If you succeed, I promise to reward
        you with a kiss."

Run and jump over the quicksand to the right. Don't fall through, as it hurts.
Bounce the Sand Crab as you go to push it into the , but notice that it does
not die. After a couple of seconds the Sand Crab crawls back up again. Continue
to the right and run under the spikes, jumping out of the quicksand and then
onto the sandstone block. These blocks crumble to dust instantly, so quickly
jump onto the sand slide on the right. From here, jump to another sandstone
block on the left and then onto the ledge on the left.

Jump onto the sand slide above, then walk left. As you ascend, bounce the Shell
Crab that falls down, then head left and jump across the quicksand. Bounce or
avoid the Sand Crab and go into the small alcove. Collect the Large Coin, then
turn around and go back to the ledge on the other side of the sand slide.

Jump all the way to the right to land on the sand slide, then go over the two
hills, bouncing or avoiding Shell Crabs that fall from above. There is what
seems to be a funnel of sand to the right, but we don't want to go down there
yet. Jump over it and up to the right wall. Climb the wall to the top, then
jump onto the sandstone block and from that onto the box. Bounce the box to get
the Large Coin, then fall back down and through the funnel.

Go to the right when you land and grab the Cake Slice from the box. Head back
left and continue going until you come to some more quicksand. Run and jump
across, bouncing on the Sand Crab to reach the ledge above. Collect the Small
Coin, then bounce on the Sand Crab again before running under the spikes to the
left. Jump out of the quicksand, then head left across the two hills of sand
slides. Bounce or avoid any Shell Crabs as you go, and you will come to a door
at the end. Go through it to the next area.

When you emerge, you will fall into some water. Jump out onto the ledge to hit
the Arrow Marker, then drop back in again. Swim to the right and over the
switch, then turn around and pull it up to allow access to the left. Go past
the now embedded blocks and mind the Flatfish as you swim. Head up to the gap
above to catch your breath.

Descend and continue swimming left and up, avoiding all the spikes and thorns
around you. Swim left and down the hole, then head right and push the switch in
the corner. Turn round and throw the block at the Flatfish if you can, else
avoid it. Quickly swim left (you should be low on air by now), then up into the
small alcove to drink in the oxygen.

Go back underwater and swim up through the hole again. Head into the small cove
on the left to grab a Cake Slice, then swim all the way back to the right until
you reach the air pocket where you stopped before. Once you've got your breath
back, head down and right, and pick up the block nearest you. Jump to the right
and throw the block at the pesky Flatfish, then swim up through the new gap in
the ceiling. Collect a Small Coin from the box on the left, then swim right to
pick up the box blocking a hole below. Keep hold of the box as you drop down,
then throw it when you land to receive another Small Coin. Swim up to the right
and back to the beginning of this area to get some much-needed air.

Swim back down and left, and pull up the switch when you are on the other side
of it again. Return back up through the hole where the box was, then head right
and grab a Cake Slice from the box in the corner. Quickly swim upwards and then
left at the top, and pick up the block to throw at the Flatfish. Swim left past
the spikes and finally jump out of the water onto dry land.

Drop into the rising and falling water on the left and swim to the left. Wait
until the water is rising before swimming over the thorns below, then swim
under the spikes that follow. As you pulled the switch earlier, you can now get
to the box in the corner and the Extra Try inside.

Swim up and jump out onto the ledge on the left, then climb all the way up this
wall. When you reach the top, jump right onto the sandstone block, then quickly
jump onto the next one and finally onto a stable ledge where you will collect
a Power Star (12). Drop to the ground below.

The water to the right contains Jellyfish. These creatures slowly creep up to
the surface of the water before dropping down again. When they stop falling,
the Jellyfish sends an electric current through the water, which hurts if you
are anywhere in it. Quickly drop into the water just after the Jellyfish has
electrified it, then pick up the block on the left near the wall. Throw it at
the Jellyfish, then drop down and throw the next block out of the way to grab
a Small Coin from the box. Swim up and onto the ledge to the right.

Drop back into the water and swim right, then pick up the nearest block. Jump
onto the other block and throw the one you are carrying at the Jellyfish. Swim
to the corner and throw the box to collect a Cake Slice. Swim out of the water
onto the ledge above, then drop onto the floor below. Go past the water spring
and pick up the Honey Pot near the right wall. Drop the Honey Pot on the spring
to cause another one to pop up near to the wall. Jump on the water and then up
to the ledge, then hit the Arrow Marker on the right. Go through the door near
the right wall to enter the boss room.

Boss: Crab Lord

You will fall into a large pool. Ignore the Honey Pot on the floor for the
moment, and swim to the surface. A large crab appears out of the ground to the
left, and begins scuttling across the floor. After a while it will stop and
spin its claws around. This causes a whirlpool to move left and right across
the water. Jump over the whirlpool near whichever side it heads to first, then
descend to the bottom. While you are doing this, the Crab Lord scuttles a
little further then stops to rest. Quickly pick up the Honey Pot, still trying
to avoid the whirlpool, and throw it at the Crab Lord before it starts moving
again. The whirlpool disappears, and the Crab Lord repeats its sequence. It is
not easy to get near enough to it to throw the Honey Pot, and may take a few
attempts. Because of this, you only need to hit the Crab Lord three times to
liquify it.

You begin carrying the Magic Beans, so run across the island to the right until
you fall into a hole. Drop the Magic Beans at this point, and the Map Screen
will appear. You will see a huge beanstalk grow from the island into the clouds
above, then the level will restart with full time restored.

The real concern on this level is the time you have to complete it - only two-
and-a-half minutes. In order to reach the top of the level, you will need to
get through it quickly.

First of all, run to the right and jump onto the vine. Climb up and onto the
leaf on the right as the Snake slithers away. Bounce off the Snake up to the
leaf above, then jump up a few more leaves to bounce another Snake. Make sure
you don't get caught by the whirlwind on the way up. Jump over to the cloud on
the left and collect the Small Coin, then head back to the right.

Jump up the clouds on the right, then up to the leaf and onto the next cloud
above. Wait for the whirlwind to come from the right, and let it carry you over
to the vine on the left. Climb the vine until you head up to the next screen,
then jump over to the vine on the right to avoid the Spider. Bounce the Snake
on the right then jump up the clouds to get the Large Coin.

Head back to the leaf then jump from vine to vine onto the cloud on the left,
avoiding the Spider above. Jump to the next cloud above, then bounce off the
Spider to reach the leaf on the right. Jump to the next leaf, then let the
whirlwind carry you to the vine on the right. Climb up until you reach a leaf
either side and jump onto one of them to avoid the Spider. Bounce the spider
and climb the vine to the next leaf.

Jump up the leaves, then shrink when you reach the two leaves next to each
other. Wait until the Crow flies in from the right, then bounce on it across
to the left side of the screen. Bounce off the Crow onto the cloud to collect
Power Star (13). If you've collected them all up to this point, there's only
one more to go! Return to normal size.

Hop up the small clouds above until you reach the large one at the top. Run
across to the right and jump to the leaf. Pick up the Magic Key and the exit
opens to the right. Before leaving however, jump back to the cloud you came
from and collect a Small Coin from the box that has appeared. Head back to
the right and jump over to the cloud at the top. Exit the level.

This castle is considerably difficult. First of all, head to the right and
bounce both the Skull and the Spider. There are now three doors to choose from.
Like in Good Princess's Castle Stage, each door leads to a different route to
the same destination. You can take whichever door you wish, but if you are
after the final Power Star you will need to take the right-most door. When you
finish the route you decide to take, continue from 'Deep in the Castle'.


Option 1 - The Left Door
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This is one of those automatic-scrolling areas. Immediately head left and climb
onto the wall that appears. For nearly all of this section you will need to
stay on this wall, as the floor is almost entirely covered in spikes. Climb up
a little to miss the block at the bottom, then stay near the spikes to avoid
the Spikeys on the wall above. Once you are passed these, climb up to the top
of the wall and over the pair of Spikeys in the middle. When you get close to
the ledge beneath you, jump off.

Quickly run over to the three blocks and jump up to the top one. Pick it up and
throw it away, then run to the right. If you pick up the bottom block first by
mistake, you will be trapped and crushed. Jump off the platform and bounce off
the Skull onto the ledge opposite. Pick up the block here and discard it, then
turn around and climb onto the wall again.

Squeeze between each of the two sets of Spikeys in the middle of the passage,
then head to the bottom of the wall to avoid the Skull floating across. Climb
to the ceiling again to miss the Skull beneath you, then back to the bottom
again to get under the Spikeys. Climb up as soon as you are past the Spikeys,
into the low ceiling above, then continue up when you are out the other side.
Carefully jump off the wall onto the ledge and immediately shrink or crouch to
safely get through the small passage. When you are out the other side, the wall
will stop. Pick upthe Cake Slice from the box, then go through the door. Skip
down to 'Deep in the Castle' to continue.


Option 2 - The Middle Door
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This is one of those automatic-scrolling areas. You will drop from the door and
onto a long yellow platform. This platform is the only part of the area that
doesn't move with the area, and the trick is to stay on or near it throughout.
The entire floor is covered in a gold variety of the purple liquid found in
Good Princess's Castle Stage, so you really don't want to fall in.

Jump over the fireball heading your way, then jump over the wall blocking your
path. Jump over the next wall, making sure to land on the yellow platform.
Bounce or avoid the Skull approaching, then shrink to get under the Spikeys and
the wall following it. Move to avoid the fireballs shooting down from above,
then return to normal size when you reach the other side.

A short distance later, large fireballs begin to fly across from the left in a
diagonal motion. They bounce from the ceiling, floor and platform until leaving
the screen on the left. The best way to avoid them is to stay near the left
edge of the platform and move out the way when they approach. After you have
dodged six of these, quickly head to the right and jump onto the ledge above.

Without a moment's hesitation, head right and bounce through each of the three
blocks barring your way. Don't hold Bounce as you will take too long. If you
are quick enough you should land on the platform as it travels underneath.
Before congratulating yourself on your agility, however, immediately shrink as
soon as you land to get under the wall. Avoid the fireballs shooting down at
you from the two gargoyles above, then jump onto the ledge at the end. Go out
through the door. Skip down to 'Deep in the Castle' to continue.


Option 3 - The Right Door
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
There is a block on the floor to the right and another directly above it near
the spiked ceiling. Each of the blocks is followed by a track that they follow.
The key to this area is to make sure you are on the right block throughout.

Jump onto the bottom block to start it moving. The other block starts a second
or two afterwards. As the first block gets near the spikes above, drop to the
other block. As you approach the ceiling again, jump back to the first block.
To the right,you will notice a gold liquid to the right, not dissimilar to the
purple liquid found in Good Princess's Castle Stage. This covers nearly all of
this level, so make sure you don't fall down.

Stay on your current block for a while, under the small flame that seems as if
it will hit you. When the block begins to head up into some spikes again, jump
back to the other block. Quickly jump back to the first block as soon as you
can reach it, else it will head under a platform and you will be carried into
the spikes. Jump off the block onto the platform I just mentioned, then onto
the lower block as it comes out from beneath.

Jump to the next block as it comes down, then keep swapping from block to block
as they pass each other until you reach the end. Jump off the block onto the
ledge, then grab the very last Power Star (14) of the game! Head through the
door. Read from 'Deep in the Castle' below.


Deep in the Castle
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
You will drop into a new area. Bounce the Spider that descends to the right,
then pull up the switch nearby. Head right, and wait until the steel ball
begins to ascend before jumping over. Pick up the Key, then throw it at the
Spider that follows. Pick up the Key again, and continue right. You will reach
the edge of a pit of gold liquid. This stuff kills instantly, so be careful.

Avoid the fireballs as you jump to the first gargoyle, then hop across to the
next one. Throw the Key at the locked gate, then jump across. Head to the right
until you reach another steel ball. Jump over it, then wait at the edge of a
small spike pit. As the small flame opposite begins to move away, jump over the
pit and then over the flame. Wait until the steel ball begins to ascend, then
go through the door beneath it.

Quickly shrink, then walk through the small passage on the right to activate an
Arrow Marker. Jump up onto the ledge, then return to normal size. Pull up the
switch, then shrink again. Drop back down to the floor on the right, just as
one of the Spikers leave the small passage below, then quickly run through the
passage and jump over the next Spiker. Go back through the door.

As soon as you are back out, immediately head to the right to avoid being hit
by the steel ball. Return back to normal size and pick up the Key, then jump
back under the steel ball. Avoid the flame as you jump over the spikes again,
then run under the following steel ball as it rises. Go back left to the locked
gate and throw the Key at it.

You will notice that the pool of gold liquid has now become water. Jump across
to the other side of the pool, then continue left. Bounce the Spider and pick
up the Key nearby. Head back to the pool again, then avoid the fireballs as you
drop in, still holding the Key.

Descend down the water to fall out the bottom (you'll see what I mean when you
get there). You are now in an upside-down version of the floor above. Throw the
Key at the gate on the right. Head to the left, and bounce on the Spider as it
begins to ascend. Continue to the left, over the steel ball that is blocked
in, until you reach the end.

There is a door here, but don't go through it as it leads to the door that you
first entered this area. Instead, jump up to push the switch above. Head back
to the right, and notice that the steel ball is now free. Jump over it as it
retracts, then bounce the Spider again that follows. Go through the open gate
and jump across the next steel ball. Jump up to the Arrow Marker when the flame
is aside, then onto the ledge above the steel ball. Go through the door.

You will drop into a large, fairly empty chamber. Step a tiny bit to the left
then back to the right as fast as you can go. Doing this causes the Mimic Door
to chase after you. Jump across each set of Spikers, letting the Mimic Door
follow you until you are at the wall on the far right. Bounce on the Mimic Door
near the wall, then go through the normal door that it becomes.

If the door is near enough to the wall, you should be on the right side of a
pillar, and there should be a ledge above you. If not, head all the way back to
the left, then jump up onto the top ledge to go through the upper door and try
again. Push the switch on the ledge above, then head all the way to the left,
bouncing Spiders as you go. You will come to two doors. The door above leads
back to the room with the Mimic Door, so go through the door on the left.

You will be on a conveyor belt that drops you into the water below. If you had
not pressed the switch just now, this would be the gold liquid from before.
Swim down to the right, and into the passage. Swim left, swimming up as hard as
possible to avoid the Spikers below. Drop down past the moving Spiker, then go
right. Go past the next (much faster) Spiker, then head back to the left. Pick
up the Small Coin from the box, and drop to the right.

Swim back to the left, and notice that the water stops just below. Try to swim
underneath the ledge to the right without falling out of the water. This is
very difficult, but if you succeed you will receive a Cake Slice for your
troubles from the box on the right. Drop down and activate the Arrow Marker on
the left, then go through the door to meet the final boss of the game.

Boss: Phantom
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Here we are at last. The Phantom is a tough enemy, with many powerful magicks
at his disposal. At the start, he appears on the left in a shadowy form. While
he is in this state, the Phantom cannot be harmed. As soon as the Phantom fully
appears, bounce him. He will only be vulnerable for a couple of seconds, so be
quick. As soon as the Phantom's arms raise, crouch beside him. He will launch
three fireballs across the room, but they will miss you if you are near enough.
After this, the Phantom will change into a whirlwind that moves left and right
across the screen. This will hurt, so jump over it. The Phantom will stop at
either the left, middle or right of the screen. Bounce him again, and he will
turn into a whirlwind, this time going across the top of the screen. When the
Phantom stops now, you will be unable to reach him. He causes five blocks to
fall from the ceiling. These hurt if they hit you, so watch out. All but one of
the blocks will smash on impact,so pick up the remaining block and wait until
the Phantom stops spinning again. Throw the block when he appears to hurt him,
then pick up another block. Hurt the Phantom again and he reverts to his third,

bounces across the bottom of the screen. The best method of avoiding him is to
run underneath. When he stops, quickly bounce him and get out the way, as he
will cause a bolt of lightning to strike either side of him soon after. He will
then turn back into the ball. Repeat the attack twice more, and the Phantom is
utterly destroyed.

The Phantom explodes, and the Magic Crystal falls into the screen. Pick it up,
and the game is over. Minnie gives her reward as promised, and the cast and
credits follow. After this, you will get a summary of how you did. There will
be fourteen stars across the top of the screen. Each filled star represents a
Power Star you have collected. Underneath this is the special bonus for the
number of Power Stars, up to 1000000 points for all 14 stars. You will also
receive 10000 bonus points for each Try you had remaining. The score and hi-
score are given at the bottom.

After this, you see Mickey waking up in his chair at home, the book still in
his lap. The lipstick mark on his face tells us that maybe it wasn't all a
dream after all. Typical.


Congratulations! That's the end of the game. Why not play again and try to
beat your hi-score? It will honestly provide hours of fun. Honestly...
