01.) INTRODUCTION G0100
===============================================================================
Welcome to 'Hoshi o Sagashite' for the Sega Master System, released by Sega in
1988. It was only released in Japan.
Originally this game is entirely in Japanese. It has been fan-translated and
thus more people can enjoy it. I have chosen to only make this walkthrough in
English and not Japanese. Nevertheless it is quite easy to quickly translate
this back and forth and most actions involve something on the screen.
Suggestions, comments or errors - tell me about it. Enjoy!
===============================================================================
02.) BASICS G0200
===============================================================================
The game plays really easy, with only 2 buttons used. One to confirm and one
to cancel the selection (in other words, revert back to the parent menu). The
direction buttons will select the actions and items. As I said, this is so easy
to figure out I doubt you will need any help.

XX.) FAQ GXX00
===============================================================================
Q: What is the deal with the different endings?
A: There are two different endings, one alternate scene and one event resulting
in Game Over.
The alternate scene occurs when you drop off Mio on its home planet. If you
told the other Mios about your Mio when you first met them then the will
show up to greet him at this point.
The ending changes according to your actions inside the building. If you run
out as soon as having grabbed the crystal then you get a so-so ending. A
more happy ending is achieved by fooling around in the building after
setting off the machine and you will lose the crystal in the explosion.
The game over screen is achieved by following the guide up to the reference
(search "[GAMEOVER]") and then continuing with the following steps:
Move -> Airport
Move -> Illum
Move -> Lila's House
Hit -> Door
Yes
Move -> Airport
Move -> Lapis
Q: What ARE the different endings? *SPOILERS*
A: Mio either stays behind on his planet or return to the ship as you leave.
The credits will have a different ending picture as well. The Game Over
sceen has Mio dying.
Q: Does this alternative scene have anything to do with the ending?
A: No, they are completely separate and do not affect the ending.
Q: How long does the game take to beat?
A: With a guide or knowing what to do it should not take you longer than thirty
minutes.
