    INTRODUCTION
o---------------------o

Dynamite Headdy is a 2D Platformer game, developed by Minato Giken and published
by Tec Toy, which was released in South America in 1994.

I'll give mad props to this game. It is one of the better Sega Master System
games that Tec Toy has published and I absolutely enjoyed it. The Sega Master
Sytem Completion Project is nearly finished as we have reached below 20 games
left to cover and this game looks to be a quick one in my opinion.

      GAMEPLAY
o---------------------o

-While the game is easy to play for the most part if you know what you're doing,
there is one drawback. You have no continues. Lose all lives and back to the
beginning you go.

-You start off with three lives. You can take up to four to five hits. There is
an indicator on the upper left (upper right for the boss) that indicate how
much health is left. Green means full health then it when damage is done, it
goes to yellow, then orange, then flashing red. One more hit and either you
die or the boss dies.

-There are bonus heads during some of the non-boss levels that you can collect
for bonus points at the end of the level.

      POWERUPS
o---------------------o

Pig Head - Surrounds Headdy with stars that can be used to attack enemies. Can't
protect from projectiles.

Iron Head - Deals extra damage

Sleepy Head - They put you to sleep until you press jump button. If left asleep,
you regain health.

Vacuum Head - Suck up all enemies and loose powerups in the area.

Wing Head - Head travels further.

Corn Dog - Restore health to full

      WALKTHROUGH
o---------------------o

1-1: The Getaway

There seems to be no way to take damage here. Nothing hurts you even though it
looks like some could. The stage automatically scrolls right and you are running
as you destroy barriers that fall but don't block you at all. Soon you will see
an orange plane that drops harmless bombs then a pink one. Hit them when you are
high. The bonus head will appear, nab that when on high ground then you get a
free ride to the exit.

-----

1-2: Bear Essentials

You fight your first boss already, Trouble Bruin is what I assume his name is.
Jump over him when he charges but don't do it in the corner. He will hop back
and knock himself out momentarily. Hit him while he is down and then rinse and
repeat until he is down for good.

-----

2-1: Puppet Town

Attack the knight head from below first then grab the hanging head to get on the
platform above and get the star on the upper left. Kill another knight head and
drop bown and attack the box for a vacuum head and suck up all objects you can
while it is still active. Boost to the top and get the iron head and use it to
knock the ball over and make it fall onto the barrier. The wing head below is
optional. It just makes the head travel further. Hit the ball that shows hit and
it will make a boulder knock out a couple enemies in the way. Kill the knight
head and get a boost up but don't mess with the sleepy head. Go right and kill
another knight head. While you can't die instantly by falling into the pit, you
can't use that as a cheap way to proceed throught the level. You must knock the
action figure into the pit and knock the bouncing heads to the right to use them
as a bridge to proceed on. The reason I said you can't use the pit to go on is
because the screen will not scroll right. Knock the next action figure into the
pit and use the geyser to get to the top and go left for the bonus head then hop
to the right to exit the level.

-----

2-2: Back Stage

Get the star first then get the pig head and go right. You will fight a miniboss
that hops around. The stars will damage him while active but when he stands in
place, he is invincible and he will shoot balls in eight directions. If he was
offscreen when he fires, the attack won't come out. Seven hits will do him in.
Get the next star and you will see a hint to hit the ball to the upper right and
make the cannonball hit the ceiling and fall onto the tank. It will die in one
good hit. Continue right and get the corn dog if you need it then get the iron
head. This will destroy the maid head quickly. Watch out for its notes. Go to
the right and end the level.

-----

2-3: Opening Night

The second boss has a simple pattern. Avoid the objects that fall down then when
the boss jumps to the other side and bite him in the tail while he is in the air
and repeat until he is dead.

-----

3-1: Going Underground

Those frogs are so annoying wait for the first frog to hop down off the top then
get the vacuum head and go on a vacuum spree and stay away from the bottom of
the screen which is a pit. Once the vacuum head wears off, you should be on
solid ground. Try to stay on the other side of the long neck and attack it as
the fireball will not hit you. It take several hit to defeat. Ride the platform
to the right and get the wing head and kill the frogs first and then kill four
straight flying bomb heads then end the level. You can replenish your wing head
at any time.

-----

3-2: Hooked

You have been grabbed by an eye enemy with a long arm that carries you through
the stage as you frantically attack it to get free. It will bash you into the
bottom of the screen to cause damage. Occasionally, corn dogs and bonus heads
will pop out. You can get them if you want but concentrate on hitting the eye
until it is dead. Upon its death, the stage ends.

-----

3-3: Stagestruck

This is going to the first long boss fight mainly because you got to get four
hits in to count as one actual hit. The ballerina will spin. Stay on the other
side of it and wait for it to come to you then hit her in the indicated area.
Every time you hit her, a piece of her clothing comes off and she will appear
on the other side where you are so that is your cue to go to the opposite side
of her and when she is naked, hit her as she comes to you for a full hit. Keep
up the assault until she dies.

-----

4-1: Stepping Up

This level is easy if you start moving quickly. Aim your head up and then start
using your head to boost yourself to the top. Some walls will fall but you can
still make it to the top with little to no problem at all.

-----

4-2: Rising Fun

Another upward climb but it is trickier than the previous stage. The heads that
boost you will move back and forth so you must time your grabs carefully. You
also got to deal with hot air balloons but they are not much of a threat. You
will meet a miniboss that looks like a pole made of four red balls. Attack it
while it spins then move away when it comes down and spins. Kill it and it will
turn into a booster head for you to continue upwards. At the very top is another
miniboss. Avoid it as it bounces around then attack it when it uncurls. It will
do this for several rounds but it will go down eventually.

-----

4-3: Hi Anxiety

This is another fight that requires patience, Stay on the far side from the boss
and watch it attack random spots. When he has you cornerned, move under him and
he will attack once more and get his foot stuck in the wall and he will expose
the marker on his back and that is what you will attack. Rinse and repeat on the
other side until victory. He takes more damage than the previous bosses.

-----

5-1: Room Service

You basically fight through a series of rooms and miniboss fights.

Room 1: Get past the missiles to the end.

Room 2: Fight past a series of penguins that turn red when hit and freeze until
you get to the end.

Room 3: You fight a miniboss that is a revolving sun. Just shoot upwards when it
is above you. No need to jump.

Room 4: Just jump over the rowing crickets until the end.

Room 5: Get past a bunch of effigies until the end.

Room 6: Another miniboss. The green witch hat revolves around the top of the
room then a head pops out and spits bullets. Carefully time a good hit in to
defeat it. It takes some hits before it goes down.

Room 7: Get past a series of flying cows until you reach the end.

Room 8: Fight past a series of Rollig Robots until you reach the end.

Room 9: Final miniboss. It is a giant bonus head. Just attack it when it is
above you as it bounces along the air.

-----

5-2: Twin Freaks

There are two bosses but you can only hurt one. The pink head is the one you go
after. The green one is invincible. You'll know which one to attack when you
hear a ring then just attack the head and the green one will have a buzz sound
which you want to move away from.

-----

6-1: Fatal Contraption

Just stand still in front of the left curtain and just attack the boss as it
passes by. As long as you don't move, his bullets won't even hurt you when he
stops to fire at you.

-----

6-2: Finale Analysis

Get a random head but avoid the sleepy head unless you are confident that you
will not get attack so you can recover lost health. The final boss has three
methods of attack depending on the color of the orb he had before he pushed you
away. He will either shoot lasers, drop stuff, or raise spikes from the ground.
If the orb is black, he will do nothing. Green orb drops stuf. Red orb raises
spikes and the yellow orb sends laser across the screen. Hold your ground and
this final fight is in the bag.
