Maze Hunter 3D is my next FAQ for the Sega Master System Completion Project. It
is a project set up at the FAQ Contributors Board at GameFAQs to give all Sega
Master System games a FAQ. It was started by Masamune3 in the case of the Sega
Master System but there are projects like that for other consoles too.

DEFEND cities from never-ending nuclear attack in Missile Command! BASH bricks
with a bat and ball in Breakout! Eradicate a garden full of mutant insects in
Centipede! For the first time ever THREE classic arcade games from the past are
brought together in ONE cartridge for UNLIMITED playability!

[1] [Q]. What are those numbers like [A300] next to the title of every section?
   [A] It is the search engine of this FAQ. Press Ctrl and F. Type in the
       search code for the section you want to go to. You should be there in
       two steps.

[2] [Q]. What is the two-player option?
   [A] You alternate levels. The first player does the odd levels, the other
       one does the even ones.

===============================================================================

>> CONTROL PAD >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The left and right buttons move the paddle from left to right and back. The
down and up button work and allow you to use them in a confined area.

>> 1/START >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You use this button to fire the bullets from your weapon. It is simple as that.

>> 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This button isn't used in this game.

===============================================================================
    3.2- Basics                                                         [A302]
===============================================================================

Centipede is a lot like Asteroids and other 2D shooters. You play a small Gun
Turret that can be moved horizontally and a bit vertically. You have to kill
the centipedes to advance to the next level. If you are killed in the battle,
the level starts over again.

Usually when the Centipede gets down to your level, it is hard to kill the
enemy at that point. There are a couple of ways to do so though. If it is a
centipede, go down to the lowest level and shoot at him while he passes over
you. You can kill him without much trouble. For other enemies, you'll need to
lure them up and then shoot them from underneath.

The easiest way to kill fast enemies is to go to the side of the levels and
shoot them there where they come down. Otherwise it is wise to seek places with
little mushrooms to shoot at them because you can break the barrier quick at
those places.

===============================================================================
    3.3- Enemies                                                        [A303]
===============================================================================

Centipede would be an easy game if the only enemies in the game were the
centipedes. They added a couple of other enemies too. They are usually faster
than the centipedes and come directly at you except for one. You get points for
everyone that you kill. Some enemies give more points in latter levels. If you
want to see how each enemy looks, just let the game stay at the Start Screen to
see them.

    4.2- Basics                                                         [A402]
===============================================================================

You can only move the paddle at the bottom and you need to shoot ball. Everyone
should know the classic Breakout/Arkanoid by now. There are a couple of ways to
improve your game. Don't move your paddle until you see in which direction the
ball is going. Don't forget to calculate where it will go after hitting the
wall and stuff.

Usually, at the start of the game, it will come back to you or won't move far.
You should try to get your ball on top of the construction when you can by
breaking a hole through it. As long as it is up there, you'll get many points
with minimal effort. You advance a level by clearing all the bricks on the
screen.

In the latter levels, you'll come across bricks that don't break so easily. You
have to hit those two to four times. Off course, they'll give you fewer points
than normal ones but you can hit them more too. The Brick Construction has a
new form every level, there is even a level with SEGA spelled out but
basically, every level is the same.

===============================================================================
    4.3- Scoring                                                        [A403]
===============================================================================

You get points by hitting the blocks; you also need to hit them all to finish
the level so it is nice you get points for it. There are multiple colours of
bricks and they each give you a certain amount of points. Broken means that you
have to hit them multiple times.

    5.1- Controls                                                       [A501]
===============================================================================

>> CONTROL PAD >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You have to use the Control Pad to move the Cursor. The Controls itself are
pretty straightforward.

>> 1/START >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You use this button to fire the bullets from the Gun Turrets. Don't shoot until
you have aimed carefully.

>> 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This is the only game that uses this button. You have to use it to change
Turrets when one is destroyed or out of bullets. You can also change if you
think that one is closer to the rockets.

===============================================================================
    5.2- Basics                                                         [A502]
===============================================================================

You're part of the army that wants to stop the Alien Invasion Force. They want
to destroy both the Earth's defence and its cities. They are launching multiple
rockets at Earth and it is your assignment to stop them and protect the cities.
There will be a constant was of rockets and sometimes planes will fly over you.

It is your goal to stop them and you have the control over three gun turrets to
do so. You can't wildly shoot in the air, as your amount of bullets is limited.
You have to place your cursor in the path of the rocket and shoot when they
meet. You should prioritize the rockets that are close to the cities and the
turrets because you aren't safe either. You can be destroyed too.

A good trick to save bullets is by destroying two rockets at the same time. The
explosion of one rocket will destroy the other ones that are close too. If one
of the turrets is out of bullets or destroyed, quickly change to the other
turrets.
