1. Introduction
Years ago, I made a finishing quote/ending FAQ to
X-MEN, CHILDREN OF THE ATOM. Someone wrote to me
asking to do the same for X-MEN VS STREET FIGHTER
because the Sega Saturn import version is in Japanese.
I replied that I couldn't because I don't live close
enough to an arcade place that has the game nor do I
have the Playstion version or a Playstation system.
Lately, I just rented a PS2 form Blockbuster and the
Playstation version of XM vs. SF from a store I
discovered that just open. I played the game for two
days and recorded the endings and some of the winning
quotes. The quotes are not completely because of the
short time I have on the game, but there's another FAQ
out there that does have the complete list. Otherwise
someone can e-mail me some quotes that I missed.
Anyway, I concentrated only for the endings, so here
it is. The translation text is the Sega Saturn import
version of X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Remember, I am
not fluent in Japanese or any other languages. I am
just copying it off from the Playstation American
version, which is almost a transition of the aracde
mode. The translation the Capcom company did itself
may not be actuite.

Story:
There have been several recent disappearances among
Mutants and Street Fighters. Uncomfirmed rumors
surround these incidents, each claiming to know what's
going on. Some sources blame the disappearances on
Shadaloo, an underground militant group lead by the
insane General Bison (Vega). Other sources believe
that it is a plan by Magneto (the so-called master of
Magnetism), to eliminate all those who oppose his goal
of destroying all non-mutants. In order to
investigate the truth in these matters, Mutant and
Street Fighter teams have formed. Even though they
are all working towards the same goal, dissension in
the ranks continue to be a problem and several fights
have broken out. After all this fighting, what will
be left of the world? The outcome is in your hands...

meets Apocalypse, before he becomes a giant, there is
a Japanese text above them. This doesn't appear in
the arcade version nor in the PS version. If any one

form of humanity, but until she gains full
self-control, she will remain a slave of Bison.

Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops discovered his
mutant ability to direct and control his powerful
Optic Blast, a powerful energy beam emitting from his
eyes, during his difficult childhood. Having lost his
parents at an early age and raised in a n orphanage,
he was eventually found by Charles Xavier and became
the first member of the original X-Men.

The Indian monk Dhalsim fights for his people who
suffer from famine and disease. He is a Yoga master
who drifts through life and does not try to change his
fate. He has sought to unify his mind, body and soul
through the discipline of Yoga. As he nears his goal,
Dhalsim must test himself and his skills before he can
rise to a higher state of consciousness.

with devastating effect made him one of the best
thieves around.

destiny and destroyed his own master.

the fearsome helmit of Magneto. The master of
magnetism is the enemy of the X-Men and is one of the
most feared villians in the Marvel Universe.

mutant ability to absorb other people's powers and
villianous memories first manifested itself when she
was a tennager. After leaving the Brotherhood of Evil
Mutants, she would eventually join forces with the
X-Men, seeking help help in dealing with her mutant
powers. Since then, she has become one of the X-Men's
strongest members.

any doubt, Wolverine's most hated enemy. Their
rivalry goes back to a time that even they don't
remember. Sabretooth's Mutant abilities give him
enhanced strength, agility, stamina and healing
factor, second only to Wolverine's. His razor sharp
claws and ruthlessness give him the fighter edge in
almost every sitiuation.

her the ability to fly. She can call upon the power
of the storm and harness the fierce power of weather.
Storm possessess a strong sense of nobility, which
makes her a great leader.

VEGA (M. BISON)
M. Bison has worked hard to enchance his Psycho Power.
Many, many battles ensued in his laboratory as Bison
drew from the power of the fight, but his lab rats
were only cowards, for hatred wields more power than
fear. Bison craves to battle against true warriors.
He hears of a warrior named Ryu who defeated Sagat in
Thailand. Suddenly Bison's body glows into a blue
flash in anticipation of comfronting Ryu and using his
Psycho Crusher signature move.

qugmented with Adamantium, a nearly indestructible
metal. He has a super-healing ability that makes him
nearly resistant to physical harm, chemicals and
poisonous gasses. Wolverine once worked as a secret
agent for the Canadian government, but refused to
follow their protocol. He severed his ties with the
Canadian government and joined Professor Charles
Xavier's mutant group-the X-Men.

ZANGIEF
Lately, Zangief has not been the same. Any pro
wrestler cowers before his piledriver, but Zangief
knows it needs improvement to meet his standards. As
he trains, he gets frustrated because he cannot
advance the piledriver. A sudden storm strikes and he
is caught in the vacuum of a tremendous cyclone. It
tosses Zangief around and sends him spinning back down
to Earth head first. He drops to the ground with a
great thud. A few seconds later, great laughter
breaks out across the mountains and rivers. Zangief
has found his inspiration.

b) X-Men in the media part 2.
This is a continuation of the brief media history of
the X-Men that started in the FAQ titled X-Men:
Children of the Atom, Winning quotes, endings and
short move list. Where I left off, I asked the
question if the WB animated series, X-MEN: EVOLUTION
would last more than one season. Indeed it did and
became just as popular as the FOX KIDS TV version made
a few years back. The show lasted four seasons,
starting with Xavier school recruiting mutants and the
first clash with Magneto. Then the next season, the
school expanded, introducing New Mutants like Magma,
Sunspot, Cannonball, and Iceman. The second season
ended with the attack of the Sentinel and mutants
exposed to the general public. The third season dealt
with fear and prejudice and the debuts of Coolosus,
Pryo and Gambit. The last season had the coming of
the powerful mutant, Apocalypse, and both the X-Men
and Magneto's Brotherhood joined forces to stop him.
The end of the episode has Professor X telling what
the future holds for mutants, indicating the end of
the series. Some of the episodes are out now on video
and DVD.
In May of 2003, 20th Century Fox released the Sequel
to the X-Men movie entitled X2: X-MEN UNITED. It
returned all cast members from the movie except Toad
and Sabretooth and introduced new characters like
Nighcrawler (Alan Cummings), Iceman (Shawn Ashmore),
Pryo (Aaron Stanford), Lady Deathstrike (Kelly Hu) and
Col. William Stryker (Brain Cox). A mutant attacks
the predsident in the White House and sets the stage
for one man to wage war on mutants and destroys them.
It takes the combine might of Xavier's students and
Magneto's allies to combat the menace that threatens
them. Once again, the movie suceeds in bringing the
comic book forum to a broader audience. Loosey based
on Wolverine's origin and the X-Men graphic novel, GOD
LOVES, MAN KILLS, it contains complex characters,
non-stop action and suberb storytelling, making the
best superhero movie yet. There are now talks for a
third movie as X2 is out on vidoe and DVD.
The roots of the X-Men, the comic books, still grows
strong. With 4 comic titles published every month,
UNCANNY X-MEN, NEW X-MEN, X-TREME X-MEN and ULTIMATE
X-MEN, plus a few off-shoots like WOLVERINE and
EXILES, the mutant super team continues on in the new
millennum.
