----- What's New -----

Version 1.3 (September 1, 2003) - Starting from this version,
Alan Kwan has taken over the maintainance and updating of this
FAQ.  Ririmu's night attack target system is explained.  Added
information about final showdown with only Kyoko.

Version 1.2 (September 7, 1999) - A minor update. Updated three answers
in the "pun quizzes" section. Fixed some typographical errors. Added
some typograffikal errors.

Version 1.1 (September 6, 1999) - Updated the "How to Play Mahjong"
section, added the "special thanks to" section, added some description
to the "Butasan" (the bomb) minigame (by Alan Kwan), updated the pun
quiz section, added details to the "Miscellaneous Info" section (some
by Raymond McKeithen II and some by me), added the ALL CAPS PARAGRAPH
in the "Disgruntled Author's Notes" section, corrected some mistakes,
and ADDED some mistakes.

Version 1.0 (July 5, 1999) - A very painful first effort for this
game's walkthrough.

for writing this FAQ and doing everything up to version 1.2 .

Alan Kwan / [email protected]
http://home.netvigator.com/~tarot (hard-core game reviews)
..for contributing some "pun quiz" details/explanations I missed /
didn't include /screwed up in version 1.0 of this FAQ. He also
suggested that a person who plays this game should tape it on a VCR to
learn the questions and the answers. He was also kind enough to send me
his explanation of the "Butasan" (bomb) minigame on disc 2. His
contributions [up to version 1.2] are listed with pseudo-HTML

----- Disgruntled author's notes: -----

Learn *some* Japanese. PLEASE. Even if you don't become proficient with
the language, at least go to your local bookstore and buy a Japanese to
English dictionary (a good one, not a cheapss $5 dictionary). That'll
help you with the "pun quizzes" which are the stubling blocks for
writing a walkthrough for non-Japanese literate English speakers. Even
if you don't understand the quizzes, I'll attempt to provide tips on
how to answer the questions. (OK, so maybe a $5 one will suffice...)

The "skeleton" information in this file is a rip-off from the 03-13-98
(Pg. 162 - 163) and 03-20-98 (also Pg. 162 - 163) issues of Sega Saturn
Magazine. I'll attempt to fill in the areas the magazines do not cover.

LONG AS THERE ARE NO CHANGES MADE IN THE FAQ AND I AM GIVEN PROPER

----- Miscellaneous Info: -----

There are two versions of this game - sort of (three?). The original
release of this game has a picture of Suchie-Pai in the middle (sitting
on a stick?), Ririmu to the left, and Kotori to the right. They are
surrounded by a pink heart. The lower-priced re-release package only
has Ririmu. Although the packages are different, the content of the
discs are identical in both packages. There's also a PSX version. One
of the differences is the OP minigame. There's a "flag" minigame in the
PSX version instead of the Jajamaru ninja shooter.

<RAYMOND>
Kyoko is sitting on a "Suchie Stick" on the cover, her (large) version
of the Riichi Stick you use to place your "bet" when you are one tile
from winning.
The second Saturn version of SPA has a cardboard slipcover on it (like
on Sakura Taisen 2); that is what has the picture of Ririmu only. Once
you take that cover off the game is identical in every way, including
cover, to the first version. I wasn't
sure originally so I have both. The number of the original is T-5713G
and the rerelease is T-5715G. Of course once you take off the slipcover
it still says T-5713G.
5th Anniversary's adventure game is a different, and much simpler game.
It's mainly about Yuki and Maya, some sort of ghost/spirit. There is
only one path through this game essentially, and no multiple choice
answers. The only choices you make here are where you travel on the map
when (and I'm not sure that matters, there may only be one place you
can actually cause anything to
happen at at time). To test this, I played through it quickly by
skipping every conversation and just wandering around. AFAIK it only
has one ending. You play mahjong against Maya, but you basically get
all the characters together automatically, and only Suchie Pai plays
against her anyway.
</RAYMOND>

There's a "Jajamaru-kun" action game (Ninja Jajamaru-kun Onigiri
Ninpocho <Gold>) from Jaleco that's entirely different from the
minigame in Suchie-Pai adventure (Ninja Jajamaru-kun Shin Onigiri
Ninpocho). The action game is a 3D polygon game. (Released October 9,
1997. I remember the days when a Jajamaru-kun game came out on the 8-
bit Famicom. It was a 2D side-scrolling action game. Man, I feel old...
^_^  The <Gold> version included the playable 8-bit Famicom game.)

Make sure that you have the Saturn's internal clock set properly.
You'll find out why in the next few paragraphs.

----- Walkthrough -----

When you play the game for the first time, you'll be thanked for
purchasing the game. If you have a backup cartridge plugged in, you'll
be asked where you want to save your gate data. You'll have two
choices.

1 - System RAM
2 - Cartridge RAM

Make your choice. Make sure that you have at least 100 blocks of memory
available.

You'll now be greeted by Kyoko. Depending on what time of the day it is
(assuming that you have the Saturn's internal clock set properly),
Kyoko will react differently. For example, if you turn the game on late
at night (say, 1 A.M.), Kyoko will yawn and say to you that playing
video games at this hour will result in you having a rough time the
following day. You will have four choices.

1 - Start from the beginning
2 - Continue
3 - Recollection mode
4 - Bonus

1.) is self-explanatory. This will take you to the ninja minigame.
2.) can only be used if you have a previously saved game.
3.) is where you can see various in-game CGs and movies. It's obvious
which is which so I won't explain this any further. Of course, it's
next to useless if you're playing the game for the first time. The CGs
and movies must be viewed during the normal adventure game before you
can see them all. The percentages indicates "how many of what" you've
seen during the adventure game. (What's strange is the fact that I
seemed to have more viewable CGs and movies in this mode than I
actually saw in-game after beating the game once.)
4.) basically allows you to play the ninja minigame without going to
the main adventure game after you're done playing.

Game start!

You'll start out by playing the Jajamaru-kun ninja shooter minigame.
The game is not very difficult. (I beat the shooting minigame and I
suck at shooters.) Just hold down the R button for rapid-fire shots. If
an enemy closes in on you, Jajamaru will automatically draw his sword
and take a swipe (as long as you hold down R). Enemy throwing stars
can't be eliminated by your sword or shots so avoid them. If you get
hit, Jajamaru will use one of his ninja "spells" and elminate
enemies/projectiles. Use the control pad to move. A or C is normal fire
and B is the ninja spell. Jajamaru will have a total of 3 lives and 3
spells per life. The boss (Namazu Dayu) won't even attack you. One hit
and he's dead.
If you press the start button, You'll get two choices. 1 - Restart. 2 -
Quit. Restarting is self-explanatory. Quitting will mean admitting
defeat in the game.

You'll now be prompted to enter your name. You'll see a bunch of
Japanese hiragana characters. If you're reading this, chances are
you're not Japanese. It's better to enter your name with katakana
characters (non-Japanese names except for Chinese are written in
katakana) unless you want to be "cute" and use hiragana a la Sakura
Taisen. You'll also see four boxes below the characters. They are 1.)
Switch to Katakana, 2.) Left Arrow, 3.) Right Arrow, and 4.) Finish.
The left and right arrows are to move the cursor. Finish is for when
you're done entering yout name. If you want to switch to katakana,
highlight it and press C.

The "character map" is as follows:

A    I    U    E    O           HA   HI   FU   HE   HO
KA   KI   KU   KE   KO          MA   MI   MU   ME   MO
SA   SHI  SU   SE   SO          YA        YU        YO
TA   CHI  TSU  TE   TO          RA   RI   RU   RE   RO (Alternatively,
LA   LI   LU   LE   LO)
NA   NI   NU   NE   NO          WA        O         N
a    i    u    e    o           tsu  ya   yu   yo   -

All the characters in the RA row can also be written with an L instead
of an R (and you wondered why Japanese people have trouble making a
distinction between the two). The "rine" *OOPS!* Solly, I mean, sorry.
The "line" at the end of the uncapitalized tsu row represents an
"extending" sound (I'll provide an example later). The uncapitalized
letters are used when making quick, accentuated sounds (but not always;
I'll provide an example). The bottom-right has a "quotation mark" (ten-
ten) and a circle (maru). These can only be used on characters that are
compatible with them. As an example, "A" can't have a ten-ten or a
maru. I, U, E, and O cannot have them either. "KA" can have a ten-ten
but not a maru. Adding a ten-ten to "KA" makes the character, "GA."

Ten-ten compatible:
KA   KI   KU   KE   KO          becomes: GA   GI   GU   GE   GO
SA   SHI  SU   SE   SO          becomes: ZA   JI   ZU   ZE   ZO
TA   CHI  TSU  TE   TO          becomes: DA   JI   ZU   DE   DO
HA   HI   FU   HE   HO          becomes: BA   BI   BU   BE   BO

The JI and ZU in the "SA" and "KA" rows are used differently, depending
on the situation.

Maru compatible:
HA   HI   FU   HE   HO          becomes: PA   PI   PU   PE   PO

Now, how do you enter your name with these crazy characters? Well,
that's a toughie. I'll toss in a few examples.

The name, "Alan" would look like: A   RA   N     (note the L-R
controversy ^_^)
The name, "Jose" would look like: HO  ZE   line     (example of
"extending" a pronounciation)
The name, "Melody" would look like: ME   RO   DE   i     (example of
using the uncapitalized kana)
The name, "Raymond" would look like: RE   I    MO   N    DO     (must
use ten-ten on "TO" to create "DO")

"Jose" uses two techniques. It uses the ten-ten on the SE to form ZE as
the second character. It also uses the line to extend the "e" sound in
ZE to make it sound more like, "HOZEE."

"Melody" uses one of the uncapitalized  letters. The "i" actually makes
the "E" in DE silent in this case. I can't imagine a girl named Melody
playing this game (or a girl playing this game for that matter) but all
I wanted to do in this example was to show what kind of a name would
use one of the uncapitalized kana characters.

At any rate, this is how you can enter your name. Of course, I can't
include all the names of the people that may play this game so if you
*REALLY* want to know how to enter your name properly, you can e-mail
me and ask. I'll be more than happy to tell you.

After you're done entering your name, you'll see a video clip.

Win ==> You'll see an FMV of an impressed Kyoko.
Lose or quit ==> You'll see an FMV of an unimpressed Kyoko.

Depending on whether you beat the OP minigame or not, Kyoko will say
different things to you.

Win ==> Kyoko will introduce herself to you. You'll introduce yourself
to her as well. She'll then ask you if you played the ninja game a lot.
1 - Well, yeah.
2 - Not really.
It doesn't really matter what you choose.
Answering 1.) will impress her and she'll say beginners wouldn't be
able to get the type of high score you got.
Answering 2.) will impress her a lot since she'll think you're video
game genius.
As a "reward" for playing the game well, she'll offer to go out on a
date with you. You'll be puzzled and she'll be slightly angry. She'll
ask if you're unhappy about going out on a date with her.
1 - Of course not.
2 - Well...
Choosing 1.) will make her explain her motives behind "asking you out."
(She's bored to death.)
By choosing 2.), she'll say that you probably don't have a girlfriend.
1 - Uh... of course I have one!
2 - Eep! How can you tell?!?
The choices don't really matter. If you choose 1, she'll say that a guy
who has a girlfriend wouldn't spend so much time at the arcades.
At any rate, she'll offer to introduce you to her friends.

Lose or quit ==> Kyoko will introduce herself to you. You also
introduce yourself. She'll then say that you probably don't have a
girlfriend (you may have one in real life, but you don't in the game).
You'll have two choices.
1 - Uh... of course I have one!
2 - Eep! How can you tell?!?
The choices don't really matter. If you choose 1, she'll say that a guy
who has a girlfriend wouldn't spend so much time at the arcades.
Choosing 2 will then make her happy because she guessed right.
She'll now ask if you want to go to through town to pick up some girls
for you. (You're the only customer at the aracade and she's bored. If
you leave the arcade with her, then there's no need for an attendant
because there are no customers. Anyway, that's her logic.) She'll also
offer to help you find a girlfriend.

After you're done talking with Kyoko, the two of you wuill step
outside. A girl will run into you. Her name is Kotori. She'll be
worried that you saw her underwear as she fell.
1 - Never mind that. Are you OK?
2 - Uh... I didn't see a thing.
3 - Hm... Maybe I saw something...
It doesn't really matter what you choose (just to be a jerk, I always
choose #3, just kidding ^_^). She'll take off. Kyoko will then explain
that Kotori loves to play the "crane" game to grab prizes - and plays
the crane game until she gets the prize that she wants.

You'll now be at the overhead map. Please refer to pages 6 and 7 of
your instruction manual. I'll point out the various places you can
visit in the game. You're free to roam around. Unless you see a picture
of a girl at a particular location (when you go near it), it will take
two clicks on the "C" button to actually enter that location. Kyoko
will explain what each place is before you enter it and will also tell
you who's there.

(You should be looking at your instruction bookelet now.)
Top row from left to right:
Church, Katagiri Mansion, Auditorium.

Next row from left to right:
Kotori's house, Hospital, and armory (to be more accurate, an
explosives storage depot; slightly northeast of the hospital).

The next "row" is slightly confusing. I'll just go from left to right.
Usagi (Rabbit) House, Apartment, You and Me (the arcade Kyoko works
at), (Entertainment Production) Office, Annpie's, Park, Kamiyohga High
School, Military Base.

The mansion southwest of You & Me is Reika Mansion.

The bottommost area of the map is Yuki's house.

There's also something to note on the upper-right section of the
screen. This indicates what day of the week it is. At the very least,
please learn what the "days of the week" look like in Japanese. You
start the game on a Monday.

Monday - Getsu (moon)
Tuesday - Ka (fire)
Wednesday - Sui (water)
Thursday - Moku (tree)
Friday - Kin (gold)
Saturday - Do (earth)
Sunday - Nichi (day)

You don't need to worry about Sunday because Sunday takes place on disc
2, after you beat the game. The paraentheses represents alternatives to
what you can look for in a Japanese dictionary if you can't find the
days of week (for some weird reason).

Summary of the game: The idea behind the game is to earn the affections
of one girl in the game. There are 13 girls you can have an ending
with. Kotori is a girl that falls in love with you at first sight - and
makes a "pact" with the a devil (sort of). The "devil" is Ririmu.
Ririmu has the ability to absorb a human's soul by oral contact (hints
of lesbianism, I think). Because Kotori doesn't want *any* girl to have
anything to do with you, Ririmu is asked to get rid of any potential
competition. You must protect one of the girls you want to have an
ending with. The girl that you want to have an ending with must not be
asleep at the end of the game. Any girl that's asleep will be
eliminated as a potential love interest at the end. If a girl that you
want to have an ending with doesn't have enough affection toward you,
then she'll turn down your feelings at the end of the game and you'll
get a bad ending.

Ririmu's attack at night -

Every night, Ririmu will come to town and attack /two/ girls.
Ririmu attacks on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night.
Ririmu will attack two of the girls you have ever talked to, with
certain exceptions.  If you are seeing Cecil's event on Wednesday
night, Ririmu will not attack on that night.  On Monday night,
Ririmu will always attack the two girls you have met during the
day, and you will not be able to defend them.  On the other
nights, you can try to defend one of the attacked girls.  When
you enter a girl's house at night, there are two possibilities.
If the girl is not chosen by Ririmu to be a target that night,
you will see her sleeping peacefully, and you can leave and visit
and protect another girl.  If the girl is chosen by Ririmu to be
a target, you will enter quiz battle with Ririmu.  If you win,
you will see a movie of Ririmu attacking the other target.  The
girl you are protecting will be safe, but the other
target will be thrown into Ririmu's nightmare.  If you lose the
quiz battle, Ririmu will put you to sleep, and she will throw
/both/ targets into nightmare.

General tips -

Monday: Any girl you meet on a Monday (except Kyoko) will be put to
sleep. If there's a particular girl you're going after, don't meet her
on Monday. Once you step outside the arcade, the time will be around
noon. There are four "times" in the game. Morning (the scenery in
somewhat tinted blue - VERY light blue), noon (white tint), evening
(reddish-brown tint), and night (it's dark). Sometimes it's very hard
to distinguish between morning and noon so be careful. On Monday night,
you'll be approached by Kotori and she will ask you id you and Kyoko
are lovers. 1.) Eh-hem! Actually, that's right!   2.) Well... lovers?
No way...   The choice doesn't matter. By choosing 1, everyone will
take that as a joke and Kotori will laugh. Choosing 2 will somewhat set
Kotori's feelings at ease (same thing as 1, besically). After Kotori
disappears, head back to your apartment. <<<As a side note, in order
for time to go by, you have to talk to other girls in different
locations in the game. You can't protect everyone and someone will
become Ririmu's victim. In order to know what to do when you're talking
with other girls, try reading the walkthroughs for the girls you're
*not* interested in. Even if you make a mistake, if that's not the girl
you're after, leaving her unprotected from Ririmu isn't a big deal.
Just worry about portecting the one you're after.>>>

Tuesday: Talk to the girl you're interested in. Be sure to be nice to
her by giving her the correct answers. A girl that you meet on this day
is then a potential victim of Ririmu. Defend the girl you want at all
costs. Before you go up against Ririmu, Kyoko will come up to you and
ask if you visited any of the girls you met on Monday. 1 - Yeah, 2 -
nope. If you answer 1, she'll ask if you did something "evil" to any of
the girls. You'll automatically answer no. If you choose 2, Kyoko will
tell you that the girls are in a "comatose" state. She'll now insist
that you protect a girl you met during the day (Tuesday). Go to the
location of the girl you want to protect. Save your game. Once there,
you'll have to deal with Ririmu and her "pun quizzes." There is a
section dedicated to the "pun quizzes" at the end of this file. Ririmu
will ask you if you're the girl's boyfriend. 1 - Yup, 2 - nope. It
doesn't matter. Ririmu will have a smartass response either way. If you
win, great. If you lose, load your game and try again.

Wednesday: Deepen the relationship with the girl you're after during
the day and protect her at night. When facing Ririmu, you'll be faced
with some choices. 1 - Why do you kiss 'em? 2 - What "wonderful"
dreams?  It doesn't matter. Choosing 1 will make her explain how she
absorbs the "souls" of people through their mouths. (She also explains
why humans instictively cover their mouths from yawning. It's to stop
the soul from escaping - because that's where the soul usually escapes
the human body. It's bulls*** but hey, it's only a game...) Choosing 2
will make her talk about all the "nasty" things that happen in a girl's
dreams (the comments are suggestive of X-rated material but you don't
get to see anything).

Thursday: Basically, you're trying to increase the "love index" (too
bad you can't see it) of the girl you want. At night, Ririmu will ask
you who's cuter. Her, or the girl that you're trying to protect for the
night.
1 - The girl's cuter
2 - Ririmu's cuter
Choose 1, but it really doesn't matter. Ririmu will then spew some
bulls*** and ask for forgiveness.
1 - No way
2 - Hm... I wonder if forgiving is OK...
DO NOT CHOOSE 2!!! Choose 1. You'll be forced into another round of pun
quizzes. Choosing 2 will put you and the girl you're trying to protect
to sleep. You'll wake up, but she won't.

Friday: This is the day everyone will gather up and fight Ririmu. In
the morning, Kyoko will greet you and ask you to come to the arcade. Go
to the arcade. She'll tell you her theory as to why she hasn't been
attacked by Ririmu. She denied that she was your girlfriend on Monday
night so that's why she's been safe all this time. Kotori will drop in
and leave quickly, unless Kyoko's the girl you're after. (In that case,
you'll get to see a special event, which will be decribed in Kyoko's
walkthrough.) She'll ask you to drop by the park in the evening. Go
some place to kill time, then go to the park. After the meeting in the
park, any of the "Pai" members who aren't asleep will follow you. SAVE
YOUR GAME. Go to the location/residence of the girl you want to
protect. Once you arrive there, everyone will transform, except Yuki.
(Yuki seems to be on a low budget and couldn't afford a transformation
wand or something...)  Ririmu will make an appearance and ask you a
question. She'll ask you if you can vow to say that you love Kotori. 1
- Yes, 2 - No way. If you choose 1, you'll automatically get Kotori's
ending. Choosing 2 will take you into a fight. If any of the "Pai"
members are asleep, then you'll be tossed into a pun quiz showdown. If
all 6 "Pai" members are awake, then you'll be taken to a mahjong game.
If you win in the pun quiz game, great. If you lose, Kotori will show
up and terminate the "unwritten contract" she had with Ririmu and
Ririmu will go away. At the beginning of the pun quiz, the "Pai"
members will do their part to answer the questions. Some of the members
will get them wrong. It's possible to have 5 Pai members in your party
and all 5 of them can get the answer wrong (it happened to me). In
order to win the pun quiz challenge, you and the Pai members must
answer 6 questions correctly. It's better to either have less members
or to have all 6 members and play the mahjong game.

Special:
If all the 4 Pai members are asleep so that you go with Kyoko
alone to the final showdown, before and after Suchie Pai's
transformation scene, she will say something different.  If you
really want to see this, here is a sure way to put all 4 Pai
girls to sleep by Wednesday night.  Meet two Pai girls
on Monday, so that both fall asleep.  Meet the other two Pai
girls on Tuesday, and any third girl (perhaps one you want to have
the ending with).  On Tuesday night, visit the third girl.  If
she is not attacked, this means that Ririmu is attacking the two
remaining Pai girls; just intentionally lose in the pun quiz, and
you're done.  If Ririmu attacks the third girl, defend her.  One
of the Pai girls will go down, so there's only one left.  On
Wednesday, visit Cecil in the morning, and then visit the remaining
Pai girl and the girl you just defended.  Because Cecil is not a
possible "target" for Ririmu's two-girls-per-night quota, on
Wednesday night Ririmu will surely attack the only two possible
targets.  On Wednesday night, visit the third girl (not Cecil)
and defend her if you wish.

Saturday: This is when Kyoko will ask you who you love the most. You'll
be able to choose from the list of girls who are not asleep. Some girl
may not be asleep but she may not be there on Saturday. As an example,
if you have the battle with Ririmu at the hospital on Friday, Mai will
not be a girl you'll be able to confess to (since her primary locations
are the apartment or Annpie's).

Sunday: This takes place on disc 2. More on this later.

----- Kyoko Misaki (Pg. 18 - this refers to the page in the instruction
booklet) -----

Kyoko is the redhead that turns into Suchie-Pai. She's also the first
girl you meet in the game. Her ending is easy to get (only Kotori's
ending is easier to get). After you meet her, go to the You&Me arcade
every day. If you visited her every day, she'll give you her theory on
Thursday. Kotori is "suspicious."  1 - Come to think of it, something
is weird...   2 - Nah. Can't be.  Choose 1.

Another note: MAKE SURE to visit the You&Me arcade every day and make
sure to visit on Wednesday or Thursday night. You should see Kyoko
sleeping behind the counter (she won't be attacked by Ririmu).

On Friday, go to the arcade. If you visited Kyoko every day and saw her
sleeping on Wednesday or Thursday, she'll "show off" in front of Kotori
to guarantee that Ririmu will attack her (of course, Kyoko is setting a
trap for Ririmu). You'll get to see a movie of her kissing a guy (you).
Once you see this movie clip, you're guaranteed that you'll get Kyoko's
ending if you choose her on Saturday. When it's time to fight Ririmu,
fight at the You&Me arcade. After the kiss, you say... 1 - You're
somewhat daring... 2 - I feel sorry for Kotori...  The choice doesn't
matter.

On Saturday, choose Kyoko.

----- Yuki Mizuno (Pg. 19) -----

Yuki is a schoolgirl with a ponytail. You can meet her a Kamiyohga High
School. Her alter ego is Suchie Yuki. You'll see a video clip of her
licking an ice cream cone and... splat!
You'll be presented with two choices.
1 - Talk to her
2 - Keep looking at her for now
Choose 2. She'll go into a one-woman show. (I don't feel like
translating the whole thing...)

She'll now notice your presence. She'll ask you how long you've been
watching her.
1 - Right from the beginning
2 - I just got here
Choose 2.
At night, protect her from Ririmu.

The very next day, meet her at the high school again. You'll get to
comment on her "song."
1 - Whoo! Whoo!
2 - Ugh...
Choose 1. She'll offer to sing another song for you.
1 - Suchie-Pai's song
2 - Kyoko's song
It doesn't matter. Either choice will make Yuki sing a very insulting
song (to Kyoko, anyway). You'll comment that the song is <bad>. Yuki
will then ask which is worse - the song itself or the lyrics.
1 - The song
2 - The lyrics
Choosing 1 will make her say, "What? I can't hear you!" Choose 2. At
night, protect Yuki from Ririmu again if it becomes necessary.

Visit her at the high school the following day and she'll go through
one of her monologues again. ^_^ You'll get to see a special CG scene
and a video clip. ^_^ After the video clip, she'll say that it's just
"super" romantic...
1 - You're right, Yuki. It is.
2 - Uh... really?
Choose 1. She'll continue to go on with her monologue (playing 2
parts). She'll then ask if you understand how important how having an
emotional "rush" is.
1 - I understand it very well
2 - Uh... well...
Choose 1.
If necessary, protect Yuki again at night.

On Friday, fight Ririmu at Yuki's house. On Saturday, say that you love
Yuki the most (choose her).

----- Alice Shinohara (Pg. 20) -----

Alice is a blonde girl. She can transform into Peach Pai. You can meet
her at the entertainment production office. When you go inside, you'll
see her commanding some clothes to float it midair and... they
disintegrate when she notices you. She'll ask you if you saw something
you weren't supposed to.
1 - I saw it! I saw it!
2 - I didn't see a thing.
It doesn't really matter.

She'll then tell you that she's a princess of a magical kingdom on a
training mission.
1 - Uh... I see...
2 - R... Really?
It doesn't really matter.

She'll then wonder if she should put in more effort into becoming a pop
star or into honing her magic skills.
1 - Put some effort into becoming a star.
2 - Hone your magical abilities.
Now it matters. Choose 2. She'll also tell you that she's at the office
all by herself because everyone else has gone back home.
1 - Are you sure you'll be all right?
2 - You'll probably be OK.
Choose 1. You'll soon leave. After you leave the office, go back to the
office that same night. You'll get smashed by her magic spell (because
she thought you were some kind of a freak out to get her).
1 - Hey... you tryin' to kill me?!?
2 - Nevermind. It happens.
Choose 2. She'll fall asleep. If you're confronted by Ririmu, you'll
play the pun quiz. If you don't confront Ririmu, step outside. Go back
to the office. If you're not confronted by Ririmu again, go to another
location (preferably a location of a girl you already met and want to
protect). You'll face Ririmu and her "pun quizzes" there. Otherwise,
you'll be confronted by Ririmu immediately after Alice falls asleep.

If you successfully defend Alice from Ririmu, go back to the
entertainment production office and talk to Alice. She'll then wonder
what kind of work she's cut out for.
1 - Singing
2 - Acting
Choose 1. She'll then say that at the moment, she's no different from a
high school student that has a part-time job as a receptionist. You'll
have two more choices.
1 - Well, don't say that and do you best!
2 - Don't forget about your magical training.
It doesn't matter.

If you visit her again, she'll ask you if you were worried about her.
1 - I was worried to death about you.
2 - Well, not *that* worried*...
Choose 1.

After you talked to her on consecutive days, she'll tell you that she's
heard or Ririmu.
1 - Tell me about her magical abilities
2 - Tell me her weak points
It doesn't matter.

She'll ask if there's another girl that you have some concerns about.
1 - Well, there is...
2 - I'm thinking about you the most.
Choose 2.

On Friday, you must fight Ririmu at the entertainment production
office. On Saturday, Kyoko will ask you who you love the most. Choose
Alice.

----- Tsukasa Ichimonji (Pg. 21) -----

Tsukasa is a cyborg. Like Alice, she has blonde hair but she is not
childlike. In fact, she talks like a man. Her alter ego is Lemon Pai.
First, go to the armory (Monday). Next, go to the entrance of the
military base (Monday). There's a street that you can walk into past
the military base entrance. If it's Monday, do go through the street.
If it's Tuesday, by all means go. You'll meet Tsukasa (she jumps from a
window). When you see her, you'll have two choices.
1 - Uh... hello?
2 - Maybe I shouldn't involve myself here...
Choose 1. She'll introduce herself after an internal struggle. You'll
have two choices.
1 - How do you do?
2 - <Ignore her>
Choose 1. She'll now offer to give you security clearance for the
military base, just in case you ever need her help. She'll ask what
your name is.
1 - Tell her
2 - Better not...
Choose 1.
At night, protect her from Ririmu if it becomes necessary. Go back to
the military base and she'll offer to let you crash there.
1 - While I'm here, I think I will
2 - Well... no...
Choose 1.

Leave the miliraty base the following morning. Go to the armory. You'll
get trapped inside. She'll kick the door open. You'll get to say one of
two things.
1 - Thanks! You save me...
2 - Whoa... Brute strength...
Choose 1.

Go visit her again. She won't be able to talk to you because she has
some training to go through. Protect her at night if it's necessary.
She'll have to go through training every day so you won't have much of
an opportunity to talk to her. Even so, Protect her at night.

After managing to protect Tsukasa until Friday, fight Ririmu at the
military base on Friday. On Saturday, choose Tsukasa.

----- Sanae Makieda (Pg. 22) -----

Sanae is a slow-witted maid who works for Reika. You'll be able to meet
her at Reika mansion. Her alter ego is Cherry Pai.

Go to Reika Mansion on Tuesday. She'll be cleaning the yard. Walk up to
her to talk. You'll see a movie clip. You won't get to talk to her
much. At night, you'll be able to enter the mansion itself. You'll be
greeted by Reika. She'll tell you to get lost. After this, you'll be
putside the mansion. Go back in. You'll be presented with two choices.
1 - Maybe I should go home?
2 - I think I'll check up on Sanae
Choose 2. You'll enter her room. She'll be asleep. She may not
necessarily be attacked by Ririmu. If she's not attacked, then go
protect another girl you met on Tuesday since Ririmu will not attack
Tsukasa if she doesn't appear immediately after you see Sanae asleep.
If she's immediately attacked, protect her by winning at the pun
quizzes.

Go visit her again the following day. You won't have much of an
opportunity to carry a conversation with her in general. Just make the
effort to see her every day after Tuesday (like with all of the other
girls you want). Protect her at night, if necessary.

If you protected her on Wednesday night, step outside the mansion. Go
back in immediately. You'll be greeted by Reika. You'll ask if you can
see Sanae. Reika will say that she's probably still getting ready.
You'll be presented with two choices.
1 - If she's still getting ready, maybe I'll just go back
2 - I think I'll go see her!
Choose 2. You'll get to see a movie clip. ^_^
You'll now get two more choices.
1 - I'm very sorry!
2 - Uh... I didn't see that much, I swear...
Choose 1.
You'll be outside the mansion. Protect her at night (again) if it
becomes necessary.

On Firday, take the fight to Reika Mansion. On Saturday, choose Sanae.

----- Milk (Pg. 23) -----

You don't drink her. Milk is a rabbit from outer space capable of
turning into humanoid form. Her hobbies include eating carrots and
stealing/collecting clothing. In her humanoid form, she's "Milky Pai."

On Tuesday, go to the auditorium. You'll get to see a movie clip of
girls' clothing being stolen - before their very eyes. You'll meet
Milky Pai. Mily Pai will say, "What the hell are you..?" You reply...
1 - What the hell are you yourself?
2 - What's with those mountain of clothes?
The choice doesn't matter. Just to save myself time from replaying this
part again, choose 2. She'll say that she's an alien.
1 - Really? Are reeeeeaaaaallllly a space alien?
2 - It's a costume, right?
The choice doesn't matter.
Now, how do you react to your encounter with a space alien?
1 - Ordinarily, it's impossible to believe it...
2 - Yay! I'm so touched... <sniff>!
It doesn't matter.
At night, go to the hospital's "rabbit room" and protect Milk. After
you win, step outside, then immediately go back in.

Milk will wake up. You'll be freaked out from seeing a talking rabbit.
Milk will then transform into Milky Pai. You'll ask what she came to
Earth for. She'll say that she came to conquer Earth's
clothing/uniforms (there's a bad pun involved - don't ask). You'll be
asked if you want to know "why." You'll have two choices.
1 - No, I really don't care...
2 - Tell me, please
Choose 2. You'll get to see a mini-fashion show movie file. She'll ask
if you want to see it again.
1 - Let's look!
2 - To hell with looking at this crap!
Choose 1. You'll see the same movie file again. Milky Pai will now go
to sleep for the rest of the day. At night, go to the rabbit room and
protect her.

Go back in the rabbit room in the morning. Milk will be in her Milky
Pai form. She'll say that she's envious of earthlings because they take
naps all day.
1 - Is that something that should be said by someone who's asleep
whenever I drop by?
2 - It's the doing of a demon called Ririmu...
Choose 2.
She'll then say that you can be happy if you become of her race. Do you
want to be a Rabbitian? (I made up the word.)
1 - No way!
2 - Sure!
Choose 2. She'll go back to sleep. Protect her at night.

On Friday, take the fight to the hospital. On Saturday, choose Milk.
_______________________

----- Cecile Dillinger (Pg. 24) -----

Cecile is a nun that you can meet at where else? The church. Her alter
ego is "Cecielle." (I don't read the Bible so I'm not too sure about
the spelling, or if she's even a character in the Bible. Cecielle is
the "8th angel."  She is also a demon - the only demon who actively
serves God. I'm guessing that there is no "8th" angel in the Bible and
"Cecile" is an "angel" that was created just to serve the purpose of
this game.)

You can't meet her on a Monday. You can meet her on Tuesday, but you
can't do much.

If you go to church Wednesday morning, you'll get to eavesdrop on
Cecile and Kotori. After their conversation is done, you'll get to do
three things: (1 and 2 may be switched since I'm doing this part by
memory) 1 - Act like a cat, 2 - act like a bird, 3 - act like a drunk.
The "cat" is sometime replaced with a dog. At any rate, it doesn't
reallt matter what you choose here.

On Wednesday night, go to the church. You'll meet Cecile there and she
says that someone will probably drop by.
1 - Company? You mean..?
2 - How can you predict something like that?
It doesn't matter.
She'll now ask you to leave.
1 - No way! I'm going to find out the truth!
2 - Uh... yeah. I'm going home...
Choose 1. Do not go home. She'll tell you that staying there is
dangerous and she'll ask you to leave again. You'll be faced with the
same two choices again. Choose the first choice again.
Ririmu will make an appearance.
1 - Stop Ririmu
2 - Stop Cecile
Choose 1.
You'll now see Cecile's provocative transformation scene. Ririmu will
now ask you if there's anything you want her to tell Cecile.
1 - I believe in her!
2 - Please win!
Choose 1.
You'll now see a movie clip of a fight between Cecile and Ririmu.
Cecile will lose. Cecile's clothing will be at the front of the church.
There is no body to be found.

(Side note: Cecile and Ririmu are half-sisters. Ririmu's mother is a
human. Ririmu is the older sister.)

<NOTE> If you see the fight scene between Cecile and Ririmu, then no
one else is attacked by Ririmu on that night. It's a good way to keep
the "Pai" members awake so you can play the Mahjong game on Friday.
</NOTE>

That's pretty much it for Cecile. On Friday, you'll fight at some
location other than the church. On Saturday, Cecile will be selectable
so choose Cecile.

----- Miyuri Sakurai (Pg. 25) -----

Miyuri is a 9-year-old girl you can meet at the hospital. On Tuesday,
meet Rumi (the nurse). She'll be on the second floor. Talk to Rumi and
she'll ask you if there's anything wrong with you.
1 - Uh... yeah... pretty bad...
2 - Nope
Lie. Choose 1. She'll then say that you don't look very well. You'll
then say that you were just kidding. She'll then say that you need
surgery - NOW. ^_^ Of course, she's just joking. She saw through your
ruse. She'll say that a hospital is not a place for people who aren't
sick. She'll also say that if you have so much free time on your hands,
spend a little time with the girl who's in the other room - Miyuri. Go
to the next room. You'll meet Miyuri (she'll wake up).
1 - You're going to released soon?
2 - What's with the stuffed penguin?
It doesn't matter. Just for the sake of this walkthrough, choose 2.
You'll now get an opportunity to cheer her up.
1 - If you get better, there are plenty of fun things you can do!
2 - After you're released, want to go play with me?
Choose 1. You'll get to see another movie clip (it's of her imagining
doing "fun" things). She'll then say that she's looking forward to her
release. She'll then say that she wants to go to the festival on
Sunday.
1 - All right! Then let's go with me!
2 - Well, if you're feeling well...
Choose 1. She'll then say that she's looking forward to it. She'll then
ask you if you'll visit her again.
1 - Of course! I promise!
2 - Well, maybe I'll drop by again...
Choose 1. Protect her at night. (If you win, you should see a scene
where Rumi get attacked.) In the morning, Miyuri will ask if you got
any sleep.
1 - Well...
2 - No need to worry. I slept.
Choose 2.

(Note:  If you have trouble with Ririmu's pun quizzes but want to
see Miyuri's ending, you can postpone your first meeting with her
until Thursday morning.  That way, she won't be attacked on
Tuesday or Wednesday night.  To get Miyuri's ending, you only
need to meet her once, before the Thursday evening park event.)

Roam around on Wednesday since Miyuri will be asleep all day. At night,
protect her if necessary.

On Thursday, go to the park in the evening. You'll get to see a special
event between Miyuri and Kotori. Miyuri will explain that she promised
a certain someone (you) to go to the festival on Sunday - and she was
afraid that she wouldn't be able to keep the promise if her release is
delayed. You'll be "caught" eavesdropping to a degree.
1 - Me... meow!
2 - Woof, woof!
3 - Ugh... <hick>!
It doesn't matter. Basically, you're pretending to be a cat, a dog, or
a drunk. Go back to the hospital at night and protect Miyuri again. If
you win, she'll ask you what you've been doing at night.
1 - I was kicking some bad guy butt
2 - I was looking at you sleeping
Choose 2. ^_^ Since you've been visiting her so often, she'll say that
she doesn't care if she stays in the hospital.
1 - Don't be so weak!
2 - Don't say that - let's meet even after your release
Choose 2.

Since it's now Friday, fight Ririmu at the hospital. On Saturday,
choose Miyuri.

----- Mai Amano (Pg. 30, top) -----

You can meet her at the pie shop (Annpie's) during the day and at the
apartment at night. She makes the most f***ed-up pies ever.

Go to Annpie's on Tuesday. You'll meet Mai and she'll ask you if want a
Karbichocolatenoki (yeah, whatever) Pie. Karbi is some type of meat (I
think it's pork, but I'm not sure). I don't know what "enoki" is.
Basically, she's offering you a chocolate pie with meat in it.
1 - Sure, I'll take one.
2 - I don't want that crap!
Choose 1. She'll ask you if you like the store.
1 - I really like it!
2 - Hm... Needs something else...
Choose 1. She'll ask you if you have a girlfriend.
1 - Of course I don't have one!
2 - O... Of course I have one!
Choose 1. At night, protect Mai. Go to the apartment area and you
should be able to see an icon on Mai's door. She'll offer you some
grub.
1 - Sure
2 - Nah, not this time
Choose 1. Now enter her room. Protect her from Ririmu if necessary.

On Wednesday morning, exit Mai's apartment and go to Annpie's
immediately. (How did she beat you there?!?) She'll offer another
f***ed up pie - the DHA Intelligence Pie (don't ask what the
ingredients are). She says it's supposed to make you smarter.
1 - Don't want it...
2 - Maybe I'll have one...
Choosing 1 will make you go through an endless loop so choose 2. She'll
then ask a question (I'm too lazy to translate it). You'll have two
choices and the correct answer is the first one. If you choose the
second choice, you'll be offered another DHA pie. Unless you say that
you want another one, you'll be stuck in an endless loop again. She'll
ask you another question and the correct answer is the first choice. If
you chose the second choice, she'll be disappointed that the
intelligence pie didn't work. =P  At any rate, after you step outside
the pie shop, you'll collapse from food poisoning. You'll see Kyoko
when you wake up at the hospital. She'll ask you what happened.
1 - Well, it's like this...
2 - Gee, I wonder why?
It doesn't matter, but choose 1. She'll understand why you collapsed
and will tell you you're lucky to be alive. Exit the hospital and go do
something else until night. You won't be able to meet Mai at the pie
shop or at her apartment until the next day. Mai will be safe for the
night. Go protect another girl.

On Thursday morning, go to Annpie's. She heard that you collapsed went
to the hospital. She'll ask if her pie was the reason.
1 - Aw, man... that was close. I was about to die!
2 - No, it had nothing to do with the pie...
Choose 2 but she'll know better. She'll then tell you that she
collapsed after eating one of those DHA things and just got up (which
explains why you couldn't see her at the pie shop after eating the pie
and at night the previous day). She'll then ask you over to her place.
You're supposed to meet her at night. Go to her apartment at night. Her
door will be open. You'll get to see her shower scene (put those
thoughts away, you perv ^_^). Mai will be VERY angry with you. You
respond...
1 - I'm very sorry!
2 - It was an accident! This is just a bad situation!
It doesn't matter, but choose 2. She'll then ask if the rumors of the
"nightmare" are true.
1 - It's true
2 - Nope, just rumors
It doesn't matter but choose 1. You'll soon be outside her apartment.
Go back inside. Protect her from Ririmu.

On Friday, talk to Mai at Annpie's (you won't be able to go in). Fight
Ririmu at the apartment. On Saturday, choose Mai.

----- Rumi Sasaki (Pg. 26) -----

Rumi is a nurse. You can meet her at the hospital. Wondering why I
wrote Mai's walkthrough before Rumi's? You'll soon find out.

Meet her on Monday (yeah, that's right). Although you're not supposed
to meet any girl that you want on a Monday, Rumi's an exception. Talk
to Rumi. She'll ask you if there's anything wrong with you.
1 - I think I'm about to die...
2 - Nope, not really
Unlike with Miyuri's walkthrough, tell her the truth. Choose 2. She'll
then ask you to Miyuri a visit. Go to Miyuri's room. Miyuri will ask
you if you're good a video games.
1 - Nah, I suck
2 - Of course! Leave it to me
It doesn't matter. Another choice... Take Miyuri out to play sometime?
1 - OK! Let's all go together!
2 - I'll think about it.
Choose 1. You'll get to see the same video clip of Miyuri imagining
having fun (re-read Miyuri's walkthrough).

On Tuesday, Miyuri will have fallen victim to Ririmu but Rumi will be
awake. Go to the hospital in the morning and she'll be in the 1st floor
hallway. Go visit the comatose Miyuri upstairs. Rumi will be there as
well. You can ask...
1 - What's Miyuri's condition?
2 - What exactly is the problem?
It doesn't matter. Leave the room and go to Annpie's. You'll meet Mai
and she'll ask you if want a Karbichocolatenoki (yeah, whatever) Pie.
1 - Sure, I'll take one.
2 - I don't want that crap!
It doesn't matter. She'll ask you if you like the store.
1 - I really like it!
2 - Hm... Needs something else...
Choose 1. She'll ask you if you have a girlfriend.
1 - Of course I don't have one!
2 - O... Of course I have one!
It doesn't matter. After you're done talking to Mai, talk to one or
more other girls (at least one of them must fall victim). At night,
Rumi will be at the 1st floor of the hospital and will not sleep so she
won't need your protection. At night, protect Mai. Go to the apartment
area and you should be able to see an icon on Mai's door. She'll offer
you some grub.
1 - Sure
2 - Nah, not this time
It doesn't matter. After the conversation, enter her room. She'll be
asleep. She should be attacked.

On Wednesday morning, exit Mai's apartment and go to Annpie's
immediately. (How did she beat you there?!?) She'll offer another
f***ed up pie - the DHA Intelligence Pie. She says that it's supposed
to make you smarter.
If
you choose the second choice, she'll be disappointed that the
intelligence pie didn't work.
You'll now get to see a
movie clip with Rumi. Kyoko will then say that maybe Rumi has some
feelings toward you.
1 - O... Of course she doesn't!
2 - R... really?
It doesn't matter. After you're done talking with Kyoko, you'll be
outside your hospital room. Go into Miyuri's room. You'll talk to Rumi
again.
1 - So what's the deal? (crappy translation; I got lazy)
2 - What kind of treatments were given to her?
It doesn't matter. There are two opinions floating around in the
hospital. One is to use "shock therapy" to force Miyuri to wake up. The
other is to leave her alone for the moment.
1 - No matter what you do, don't use any drugs!
2 - I'm going to have to leave that to the hospital's judgment...
Choose 1. Rumi will agree with you. Talk to her on the first floor.
Talk to her again later at night. She won't be getting any sleep,
again. Go do something else for the night.

On Thusday morning, talk to Rumi in the morning. Go to Miyuri's room on
the second floor. You'll talk to Rumi again. You won't have to make any
decisions this time. Talk to Rumi at night. She'll be sleepy since she
hasn't had any sleep in a few days. She won't be sleeping at all so she
won't need any protection. Go protect someone else for the night.

On Friday, after you talk to Kyoko at the You&Me arcade, go to the
hospital and talk to Rumi. After meeting the "Pai" members at the park,
go to the hospital and fight Ririmu there. On Saturday, choose Rumi.

<ALAN>
I have verified that the DHA pie event is not required for Rumi's
ending.  Though, of course, it is worth it to see the event, in
order to complete the "recollections".

----- Shiho Katagiri (Pg. 27) -----

She's a fine young lady who loves horses. You can meet her in Katagiri
Mansions' front yard. Go see her on Tuesday. You'll get to ask her a
question.
1 - Do you have a lover?
2 - What are you always doing?
It doesn't matter, but just to save me the trouble of plaing this part
agian, choose 2 (choosing 1 will make her talk about her horse, since
she closer to her horse than other human beings).
She'll answer that due to her father's orders, she' always "studying"
(piano lessons, etc.) and doesn't have an opportunity to speak to
people her own age. She'll ask if there's anyone you know of that she
can "hang out" with. You'll be faced with another choice. Will you
become a "candidate" to become Shiho's lover?
1 - Of course!
2 - Nah... it wouldn't work...
Choose 1. She'll then tell you that she'll think about it. ^_^  You'll
be back at the overhead view over her front yard. If you talk to her
again, she'll tell you that she's off to study about carpentry. (It's
part of her "bridal training" her father insists that she should
participate in.) At night, enter the mansion and protect her if
necessary.

On Wednesday, visit her and she'll tell you that she's off to piano
lessons soon. She'll also tell you that her father treats her like a
child. She'll ask if she seems childish. You answer...
1 - Well, maybe there's still a little bit of concern...
2 - No, you're an adult
She'll then tell you that she wouldn't want to marry a man that
requires "bridal training" as a condition to marry. She'll then take
off for her piano lessons and disappear. Go back to the mansion at
night. If you talked to Shiho at least twice (once on Tuesday, once on
Wednesday) and visit her at night on Wednesday, you'll get to see a
special event. (You need to see this event in order to get her ending.)
Shiho will be drinking. She'll be stoned. She drank one cup of whiskey
(it wasn't watered down) already and she's on her second glass. She'll
say that she's a little warm after drinking and will ask your perssion
to take her clothes off.
1 - Well, if you're warm...
2 - No, no, no! No way!
It doesn't matter. Go ahead and choose 1. ^_^ She'll then say that
taking her clothes off without even losing a Mahjong game is strange.
(You reply that taking your clothes off even after losing a Mahjong
game is weird.) Eventually, you'll be faced with saying something else.
1 - If you're going to take it off, take it off!
2 - You should go to sleep.
It doesn't matter, but choose 1. You won't get to see anything
provocative. She'll just konk out. Protect her from Ririmu if
necessary.

On Thursday, talk to her and she'll tell you that she was drinking.
She'll aslo ask if you visited her last night.
1 - Yeah
2 - Nope, I didn't see a thing
Choose 2. Protect her at night.

On Friday, fight Ririmu at Katagiri Mansion. On Saturday, choose Shiho.

----- Kotori Ninomiya (Pg. 28) -----

She's the second girl you meet in the game. She's also a stalker. ^_^
Her ending is the easiest to get. You really don't need to do anything
special. All you need to do is to say that you love Kotori on Friday.
On Friday, just choose the first choice when Ririmu asks a question.

If you want to see a gratuitous bonus invloving Kotori (well, you don't
get to see much), visit Kotori's house on Wednesday or Thursday night.
She'll ask you if you knew where she lived but your answer is
irrelevant.

----- Sayuri Kawamoto (Pg. 30, bottom) -----

I hate this bitch (and yet I wrote a walkthrough for her anyway...
<sigh>). She's a "bunny girl" with a cigarette lighter stuck between
her cleavage. She's also a ditz. You can meet her at the Rabbit House.
The Rabbit House won't be open in the morning or noon so you can only
meet her during the evening or at night.

Meet her on Tuesday evening at the Rabbit House. You'll be presented
with two choices.
1 - Um... I think I'll go home...
2 - Actually, I'm interested...
Choose 2. At this point, I felt like strangling her. After I came to my
senses and discovered that I couldn't, I felt like tossing my Saturn
out the window. If I did that, I wouldn't be able to play other games I
have so I decided against that. =P  You'll have another decision to
make.
1 - I think I'll go home after all...
2 - There's no way I'm turning back!
Choose 2. she'll then tell you that there's only one "rule" in the
Rabbit House - to satisfy the appetite of the "rabbit" (meaning, her).
The food there is overpriced and you're paying for it - don't worry,
you may go "virtually broke" but there's no money system in the game.
You'll have another decision to make.
1 - I'm gonna run!
2 - I ain't gonna runa away, man!
Choose 2. You'll soon be outside. Protect her at night (I let her fall
victim ^_^). Once you step outside in the morning, you won't be able to
go back in until evening.

On Wednesday evening, go to the Rabbit House again. Pull out a gun and
put a metal slug between her eyes... Damn, you can't do that in this
game. Seriously, go and talk to her. She'll spew an overdramatic
monologue to go through (I pressed "start" to skip it since I didn't
want to listen to the crap). Choice: Time to eat...
1 - I'm gonna run!
2 - I'll just leave it to you... Uh... yeah...
Choose 2. It should be night now. Protect her from Ririmu again (I
wouldn't, unless you want her ending THAT badly; I had to put up with
this shit to actually write HER walkthrough... <groan>).

On Thursday evening, go to the Rabbit House (again). Do you want to be
a "rabbit" member?
1 - No, I'm going home...
2 - I'll be a rabbit!
Choose 2. You'll now get to see a movie clip. Now, will you admire a
"rabbit"?
1 - Well, uh...
2 - Of course! It's the greatest!
Choose 2. Go back into the Rabbit House and protect the bitch.

On Friday, fight Ririmu at the Rabbit House. On Saturday, choose Sayuri
(I wouldn't ^_^).

----- Playing Mahjong -----

In order to play the Mahjong minigame instead of a pun quiz showdown at
the end, all 6 "Pai" members must be awake on Friday. If you try to
"avoid" meeting the "Pai" members to prevent them from being attacked
by Ririmu, you'll soon discover that you won't be able to make time go
by without meeting at least one of them (other than Kyoko). One of the
techniques to use is to meet Cecile on Tuesday, then talk to Cecile on
Wednesday (read Cecile's walkthrough). If you see the event where
Cecile gets wasted by Ririmu, then no one else will become Ririmu's
victim on Wenesday night. In this manner, you can "save" any potential
victims from being attacked on Wednesday night. The victims you can
allow to sleep are Shiho, Mai, Sayuri, Rumi, and Miyuri. Meet at least
one other "Pai" member other than Kyoko and protect her from Ririmu. In
this manner, you'll be able to keep all the essential people awake so
you can play the ending minigame. If you don't want a "Pai" warrior
ending, keep in mind that you must meet and protect some of the non-Pai
characters on Wednesday night to get their endings instead of seeing
the Cecile/Ririmu event. If you end up seeing the Cecile vs. Ririmu
event on Wednesday, you may screw yourself (Shiho is such a character,
since you need to see her on Wednesday night).

If you're a clueless Mahjong newbie, press X+Y+Z to set it on automode.

If you want to play manually but don't know how to play the game, go
buy yourself a mahjong book. If not, here are some quick tips: You
start out with 13 tiles. You draw a tile, then you choose to keep the
tile or throw it away. If you decide to keep it, you need to throw away
one of your original 13 tiles. In order to win, you need to draw a 14th
tile which makes you have 4 sets of three tiles and one set of two
tiles. The sets of three tiles can be idential (such as "North, North,
North") or consecutive ("One, two, three"). While some of the tiles'
numbers are self-explanatory, some are written in Chinese so you'll
need to learn how to identify 1 to 9 in Chinese. The one pair of tiles
must be identical.

Of course, there's much, much more to the game than that. Alan Kwan's
page has some information on how to play mahjong so you can read some
tips there.

----- Pun Quizzes -----

This *REALLY* sucks. For you. If you can't answer Ririmu's questions
correctly, you can't defend a girl and you won't be able to get her
ending. A general tip is to save your game when it's night, then
challenge Ririmu. If you happen to lose, you can then load your saved
game and challenge her again. It takes a strong Japanese understanding
to answer the questions correctly. I wrote this walkthrough with the
intent of helping non-Japanese speakers play the game. Even so, there's
no way for me to help you if you refuse to learn *some* Japanese. I'll
provide you with the answers to the pun quizzes and some hints on how
to identify the questions and answers. If you're completely clueless
with the Japanese language, then I don't expect you to answer any of
the questions correctly on your first 10 or 20 tries. Even so, I hope
that you'll take the time to learn some vocabulary words. You can then
use the "key" words to answer Ririmu's questions. Keep in mind that I
don't have all of the questions ans answers written below. As I play
the game more, this list will grow. I'll update this walkthrough
whenever it's possible. Also keep in mind that all of the questions are
random and the choices are also shuffled. If you come acorss the same
question on two different occasions, the answer may be 1.) the first
time but the answer may be 3.) for ths same question the second time.
Since the questions and answers are always shuffled, don't attempt to
memorize answers by saying, "The answer was 2.) when I played this part
of the game the first time..."

Japanese is a language loaded with homonyms so it lends intself to the
possibility of millions of bad puns. Those bad puns show up in Ririmu's
questions. Also please keep in mind that a number of the questions and
answers were done by my memory. I had to play the game with the
controller in one hand and I typed with the other. Some of the
translations may not be exact.

On to the bad pun quizzes! Unfortunately, this isn't a complete list of
the questions Ririmu asks. I'll add more questions as I come across
them.

Alan Kwan had some suggestions on how I should explain some of the pun
quizzes and they have been incorporated in this FAQ.

What kind of "pan" ins't edible?
"Pan" is bread in Japanese (that's the case in Spanish as well).
The answer is: FRYPAN. (By far, this one must be the easiest to
answer.)
All the answers will be in English for this one so just choose FRYPAN.

The more you use it, the smarter you become. What is it?
Answer: Jisho (dictionary).
This question goes, "Hike ba hiku hodo atama ga yokunarumono wa nani?"
Try to pick out a word from the question that you think you can
remember. Now look up the word, "Jisho" in your Japanese dictionary.
Jisho is written with 2 kanji characters. Try to remember what the
characters look like, even you can't write it.

What kind of an insect can move incredibly fast?
Answer: A fly.
"Ha-e" is "fly" in Japanese. "Haeeeeeeeeeh!!!" is a slang in Japanese
meaning, "Whoa! That's fast!"
Try to remember the word, "mushi" (insect). If you hear the word,
"mushi" in the question, choose HAE. HAE is written with two katakana
characters. If you don't know how to write it, refer to your
dictionary.

What kind of a specialization will you rarely find in a hospital?
Answer: Naika.
"Naika" is the specialization in internal organs. (Since I'm not a
doctor, I don't know what this field is called in English.) "Naika?!?
Naika?!?" can also be a slang phrase meaning, "Where is it? Where?!?"
Try remembering the word, "Byoin" (hospital). If you hear the word,
"byoin," then it's definitely this question. "Naika" is written with
two kanji characters. The first character is the character meaning,
"internal." Try to memorize what the first character looks like since
other answers to this question will have identical second characters.

Every time it moves, the number of its eyes increase or decrease. What
is it?
Answer: Saikoro (die).
Die is singular and "dice" is plural.
You can identify this question by the kanji "eye" in the question. The
answer "saikoro" is written with 4 katakana characters.

A baby went to go see a baseball game. What happened?
Answer: Naita (it cried).
"Naitaa" is a modified Japanese-English slang meaning, "nighter." A
nighter is a night game. "Naita" and "Naitaa" are forced as a pun. You
can identify this question by the word, "yakyuu" (baseball). Look up
your Japanese dictionary for the word, "to cry." The answer is written
with the kanji "cry" and to hiragana characters, I and TA.

After knocking, no one answers. What's this?
Answer: Sharp pen (mechanical lead pencil).
A "shin" is the lead of the pencil. "Sheeeeeeen" is a *sound effect*
(sort of) which represents silence (I know that's contradictory). Since
a "shin" comes out, that's silence. As for identifying this question,
try to pick out the word, "knock."  As for identifying the answer, it's
six characters long and the third character is a horizontal bar.

How many times did a plane fly over the sky?
Answer: 1000.
1000 times is, "senkai." Another homonym for "senkai" is revolve, turn,
to circle, etc.

We're looking for employees. How many are we looking for?
Answer: 9.
<ALAN>
Looking for employees is "kyuujin" (/motomeru/+person), and "9 people"
is read as "kyuunin" in Japanese. ("jin" and "nin" are basically the
same word.)
</ALAN>

Answer: Tenjo (ceiling).
"Tenjo" is written with two kanji characters. Please look up the word
in your Japanese dictionary to see how it is written.

What animal has a bird on its head?
Answer: Kamoshika (antelope).
"Kamo" is a duck but a "kamoshika" is an antelope. It's a basic pun.
The question will have "atama" (head) and "tori" (bird) in the
question. You can identify this question by either word. The answer is
written with 4 katakana characters.

What insect can't write with Kanji?
Answer: Kanabun (Japanese drone beetle).
"Kanabun" is a pun meaning, "using kana."  Using kana means not using
Kanji.
Try identifying the answer "Kanabun" (it's written with 4 non-Kanji ^_^
characters).

A zoo doesn't have a tiger. What's the admission fee?
Answer: Muryo.
"Muryo" means "free." Tiger is "tora."  The word, "nai" means, "to not
have."   Since there's no tiger, TORA - NAI. "Torainai" means, to not
take. So a zoo without a tiger takes no admission charge.
Try to remember the word, TORA. The selectable answers to this question
will have 3 choices that are numbers and 1 choice written in kanji.
Choose the one written in kanji because that's the one that says,
"muryo."  Keep in mind that other questions may use numbers and kanji
so be sure to identify this question from the word, "tora."

When you don't need something, what do you need?
Answer: gomibako (trash bin).
All I can suggest for this one is to learn how "gomibako" is written...

What's the measuring distance when you give up?
Answer: Mile.
"Mairu" means to give up. "Mairu" and "mile" are forced as puns. The
answer is written with three katakana characters.

Answer: Soroban (abacus).
Before Japanese people use an abacus, they say, "Negaimashite."

characters). Try identifying the question by picking out the word,
"tama."

"Rakuda" is also a way to say, "it's easy" or "it's not stressful."
"Rakuda" is written with three kana characters.

Answer: Suika (watermeleon).
If you remember the days of the week section earlier in this file,
Wednesday was listed as "Sui" and Tuesday was listed as "Ka." Put them
together to get, "Suika."

What kind of a fruit cannot be completed, no matter how many times you
make it?
Answer: Mikan (mandarin orange).
"Mikan" can also mean, "incomplete." The answer is written with three

("ya," meaning, "store").

Answer: Cho (butterfly).
"Cho necktie" refers to a bowtie or a technique of tying your
shoelaces. I can't quite remember if the answer was in kanji or in
katakana.

A bunch of toursists with no destination gathered together. Where?
Answer: Atene (Athens).
The answer is written with 3 katakana characters. This one's *REALLY*
forced. "Atene" also refers to not having a destination, a direction,
etc.

What part of the body doesn't like to be touched? (Crappy translation)
Answer: Mimi (ear).
"Iya!" means "no!" in Japanese. The pun "ear" and "iya" is forced.
The answer is one kanji character (ear).

What's in the middle of the world?
Answer: Ka.
"World" in Japanese is, "Sekai."  If you writre it out in Japanese, it
can be separated into three characters. SE - KA - I. The middle
character is "ka" so the answer to the qestion is "ka."
Try to remember the word, "Sekai" or "man-naka" (the middle).

You treat it carfully but what do you break before you use it?
The answer: Tamago (egg).
"Egg" is "tamago."  Tamago is written with one kanji character. Try
identifying this question from the word, "taisetsu" (important).

The next meal has four eyes. What is it?
Answer: Gohan (rice, or a meal).
"Me" means eye and "Shi" means "four." "Meshi" refers to a meal so the
answer is GOHAN (man, this pun sucks).

What becomes a "car" when you put a person on it?
Answer: Kata (shoulder).
"Kuruma" refers to a car. When attatched with "shoulder," a little bit
of conjugation takes place. "Kata" and "kuruma" put together means,
"kataguruma." KATAGURUMA refers to someone riding on another person's
shoulders. The word, "kata" is written with one kanji character.

Answer: Mimizu (worm)
"Mizu" is water. If you say, "Mi... mizu..." then that indicates that
you're looking for water because you're thirsty. "Mimizu" is written
with three kana characters.

What has 4 legs, then 2 legs, then 3 legs? (The answer is a human
being, but it's not that simple. The answers are given in the form of
the people in the game.)
Answer: Ninomiya Kotori.
Just look at how Kotori's name is written in the instruction booklet.

How much is a pot with a hole in it?
Answer: 2 yen.
"Two" in Japanese can be read, "Ni."   By adding "yen," it becomes,
"Niyen."   "Niyen" can be used as a homonym slang meaning, "You can't
boil anything with it."

If a horse and a fox got married, what would their life be like?
Answer: Hinkon (dirt poor).
In the US, a dog is recognized by the sound effect, "Woof woof." In
Japan, a dog is recognized by "Wan wan." (I'm going somewhere with
this.)   A horse is recognized by, "Hiiiiiin" and a fox is recognized

the case. "Chichi" is also a homonym for "breast." One kanji character.

A king took off somewhere. What did he take off for?
Answer: Hiking.
"Hi, king!" (Yeah, I know it's bad.)  The answer for this one is hard
to distinguish. Other answers presented to you look like, "Biking,
Viking, etc." and you really need a way to distinguish the answers. The
*real* answer is the one with a ten-ten (please see the "how to enter
your name" section of this file) attatched to the last character. If a
ten-ten is not attatched to the last character or is a ten-ten is
attatched to other characters, then that's not the answer.

What musical instrument makes you sleepy as you play it?
Answer: Trumbone.
"Torooooooohhhhhn" refers to an "effect" meaning, "sleepy. "Toron" and
"Trumbone" are forced. (Gack, this sucks worse than the others...)

----- Disc 2 -----

You'll have four choices:

1.) Date Mode - If you got an ending in the adventure game on disc 1,
you'll get to go on a date with that girl. It will be a Sunday. There's
no right/wrong choices in this mode so relax. ^_^

2.) Recollection Mode - If you complete one of the "dates" with a girl
in the date mode, you'll get to see that girl's movie clip or CG
gallery.

3.) Sound Test - You'll be able to listen to the 7 theme songs in the
game and the BGM for the game.

4.) Bonus - a.) 4-player mini-mini games; you'll get to play one of
three minigames. There's a "bomb" game, a "shell" game, and a "whack a
mole" game. Use the control pad to move and press B to duck/evade. In
the bomb game, use the A/C buttons to pick up a bomb and to throw it.
The longer you hold the button, the further the bomb will fly. Once you
pick up a bomb, the bomb will count down to zero, then explode. If a
bomb hits another character, then the bomb will explode with no regard
to the count. You can also "dizzy" an opponent by pressing A/C near
them (doing this in the other games will make them dizzy and they will
lose points). The shell game will have a bunch of shells, beach balls,
starfish, and Sega Saturns ^_^ wash up on the beach. Press A or C to
pick up the items (Saturns are worth the most points). If you pick up a
beach ball, toss it at someone and that someone will lose points. If
you get swallowed by the waves, you'll lose points and you'll be out of
the game for a considerable time. For the mole game, touch touch the
cacti. Just "tochy-feely" the moles. If you have the 6-player terminal,
invite some friends over for some REAL mayhem. Although you cannot have
two identical characters fighting one another in the same game, press
and hold the L and R buttons on a "transforming" character to select
that character's alter ego. (Kyoko, Alice, Yuki, Sanae, Tsukasa, Milk,
Cecile.)
b.) "Goodnight" mode; If you clear all the scenarios in the date mode,
Miyuri will sing a lullaby.

The following was sent to me by Alan Kwan. This is his mini-guide for
the "Butasan" (bomb) game.

<ALAN>

The bomb mini-game is my favorite. If you don't mind, please include
the attached mini-guide in the FAQ.

Scoring
-------
pick up bomb              + 10
throw bomb                + 20
direct hit on opponent    + 80
indirect hit on opponent  +  0
punch empty air           +  1
punch opponent            + 50

killed by bomb            -100
stunned by punch          - 20

Strategy
--------
1.  Duck (B button) instead of being hit.  When you duck, you can
be hit only by an indirect hit and only if you are in the
/center/ of an explosion.  Around 95% of hits in a game will be
misses if ducked.
2.  Be aggressive.  You get points even for picking up and
throwing bombs, so do that, lots of it.
3.  Against good human opponents, it is often difficult to hit
them because it is difficult to predict their movement, and they
duck well.  However, since one needs to get to bombs to score
points, you can predict that they will be doing that.  In
practice, trying to hit an opponent as he is trying to pick up a
bomb is a very effective tactic.
4.  Combine (1) and (2): grab the controller in such a way that
you can easily hold down both buttons.  You need to do this if
you and an opponent are throwing a bomb at each other at the same
time.  This is another very important tactic.

</ALAN>
