This FAQ shows what Special Deals one can obtain during the course of the
Shining Force III trilogy. In the Deals you often find very strong, rare
weapons, accessories or items. Apart from being rather expensive, these
purchased items will greatly assist you on your quest.
All you have to do is to walk into an Item-shop or a Weapon-shop and speak to
the merchant. Beside from the option to buy or sell things, as well as repair
weapons or accessories, there is a fourth option at each shop. But often there
is nothing in this Deals-section, so you'll you need to talk to the shopkeeper
and cancel until he/she offers it directly to you which can take some time.
Still, there are items that can directly be purchased under "Deals", but mostly
you have to talk, cancel, talk, cancel...you get the point.
It's always best to go for the Deals as soon as you enter a new town.
If you don't have enough money to buy something from the Deals, the shopkeeper
will keep the item, so you may buy it later. By the way, items in the Deals
from already visited cities will be carried over to the current city, for
instance: You were offered an "Potion" in chapter one, but didn't buy it. If
you think you need a "Potion" in, let's say in chapter four, just go to the
Item-shop and click on the Deals section, the "Potion" is still there. This
holds true for every rare (special) item in the game:
Rare Weapons are always stored by the weapon-seller. Most accessories,
Mithrils, Orichalcums, Maps, boosting items and special curative items are
stored by the item-seller. If you ever sell such special items, you always can
buy them back. Same goes for items that were dropped in or outside a battle,
if it's a rare one, it will directly go into the Deals section.

Some towns have a additional "Accessory-Shop", which offers the same
Deals like this town's Item-shop or accessories are sold in the Item-shop.

Synchronity between the Scenarios does not affects the Deals, i.e. you can
get the Deals in Balsamo both in Scenario 1 and 2. Items from previous
Scenarios left in the Deals aren't carried over to the current Scenario.

For information about weapons and items check out Snarf's great Weapon-FAQ.

Note: A " * " behind an item indicates that this item/weapon is already in the
Deals display, so you don't have to hassle the shopkeeper for that particular item.

To make this guide more comprehensive, feel free to send any comments,
questions, corrections or additional facts to [email protected]
or post your question on the Gamefaqs ShiningForce 3 message boards.

Thanks go to everyone at http://shining.zophar.net/sfc for providing the
translated game scripts for Scenario 2 and Scenario 3, which helped a lot
with the town names.

A big Thank You ! to Hyudor Galm from the Gamefaqs ShiningForce 3 message
boards for helping with the last two chapters of Scenario 3 and for providing the
whole (!) Scenario 2 section.

Shinsachiel's great walkthroughs at http://www.jumesyn.net helped to complete
the Scenario 2 section, i.e. seven weapons in Deals and item-shop sales lists.
