Here's my first attempt and the first version the Night Warriors FAQ. Being it is
my first attempt, please be patient with any redundancy or just plain roughness
of the FAQ. This FAQ will include all moves that have been used in the arcade as
the controller motions are the same. Also, the character are in alphabetical
order, making them easier to find, and even though there might be allot of empty
space at the bottom of a page,  it  was so no character was cut in half, and you
would  not need to go looking through a myriad of papers in the heat of battle
for the rest of the moves. Thanks for taking the time to download and read this
through in advance, and enjoy this FAQ to one of Capcom's best conversions to
date........

ABBREVIATION KEY: What all those letters mean...
--------------------------------
F - Forward        LK - Light kick    LP - Light Punch    2P - 2 Punches
D - Down           MK - Medium Kick   MP - Medium Punch   2K - 2 Kicks
DF - Down-Forward  HK - Hard Kick     HP - Light Punch    AK - All 3 Kicks
DB - Down-Back                                            AP - All 3 Punches
B - Back
U - Up
UF - Up-Foward
360 - Rotate all the way around
CD - Charge Down
CB - Charge Back  2 seconds    To simplify and avoid confusion, I will not
AP - Any Punch                 refer to the punches and kicks by the arcade
AK - Any Kick                  name, e.g. Fierce, Roundhouse, etc. but rather
                              LIGHT, MEDIUM, and HARD attacks...

AIR BLOCKING: Yes, just like Street Fighter Alpha, Night Warriors has air
blocking. All you need to do is jump away or toward your opponent, and hold
in the opposite direction if you anticipate him/her throwing a move. Be
forewarned, hitting any attack button nullifies your block, and leave you
open if you don't connect. I have also found just about all the character
some characters, with the can attack in the air after blocking, something
you couldn't do in Street Fighter Alpha...timing is critical though,as you
may miss sometimes.....

GUARD COUNTERING: Just like Street Fighter Alpha had Alpha counters, Night
Warriors has Gaurd Counter. These are moves that can be done when blocking
any NON special move, i.e. a punch or kick. They are listed for each
character......

CHAIN COMBOS:  I unfortunately, do not know specific chain combos for each
character, but the upgrades to this FAQ will contain it, as soon as I get
them. All the character have a basic chain combo. It would consist of doing 2
weak attacks and then a hard one EXAMPLE: LK, LK, HK...
Furthermore, some of the characters Medium and Hard attacks are 2 hits so you
can automatically get 4 or 5 hits on an opponent. More about this in the
upgrade.....

DASHING: Something never seen in any Street Fighter, is the ability to dash.
In Night Warriors, you can dash both towards and away from your opponent. Some
characters have special abilities in there dashes...read on to find out who...

SPECIAL, SPECIAL BAR, ES MOVES, AND EX MOVES: One of the many improvements to
Night warriors is the ability to enhance the special moves (enhanced specials),
making them ES moves simply by doing the controller motion once, and hitting
either 2 KICKS, or 2 PUNCHES. You need to build your SPECIAL BAR. That can be
done by performing Special moves, hitting your opponent, blocking you opponents
hits, or them blocking yours.  This gives the moves more hits, and more power.
However, not all special moves can be enhanced. Those that can will be marked
with (ES). You will know you did it correctly, when your character glows a
solid color, a reddish pink. The extra special moves or EX moves are
essentially what the Super Combos in SOFA were, without the shadow trails.
They are much more animated, and some are even very amusing when compared to
SFA Super Combos. You will know you did these correctly when your characters
color cycles through a rainbow. Also since you have the ability to both kinds
when your meter is charged, Capcom has given the the Special power bar infinite
charging. Although the counter will only go to seven, more can be stored.
Meaning you can do multiple ES moves or even EX moves in the round.....!!

PURSUIT ATTACKS: Something else not found in any SF or even in DS 1, is the
ability to jump and attack a downed opponent a la VF2. By hitting U, AK. This
move also has an ES version. U, ALLK will give you multiple hits.
NOTE: ES, EX, and ENHANCED PURSUITS require one level of energy.

THE MOVES AND CHARACTERS

NOTE: All of the moves strengths speeds and power depend on what button in
pressed. the Weaker the button the slower it moves, and vice versa. The same
holds true for the 2 button presses. Hitting a weak and medium punch, is not as
strong as hitting a medium and hard punch. Same thing when a kick and punch is
required at the same time.

ANAKARIS
==========
Pharaoh's Curse: Jump up and D, DF, F+AP   (ES)
Sarcophagus Slam: P + K of same strength     (ES)
The weaker the buttons pressed, the closer the sarcophagus will land to you.
Hitting all 3P and 3K at the same time will give you multiple drops, and is the
only way to do the ES version of this move.
Grand Wrap: D, DF, F+AP (ES)
Long Snake: B, F+AP          (ES)
The Void: D, DB, B+AK (Catches projectiles)
Retribution: D, DF, F+AK (Use after successfully catching with The Void)

ANAKARIS does not have a guard reversal....
If you dash at the edge of the screen, away from your opponent, he will appear
on the other side...

He disappears for a moment while in his dash away or towards, giving him a
moment of invincibility

She has the ability to dash in mid air, either towards or away from opponent....
Also, watch for her little statue of Akuma, and Vega's claw as a projectile....

Morrigan's dash is diagonal. Also the longer you hold the second Foward, the
farther and higher she will go...
To change her costume after you win when you paly as her, keep tapping left or
right as soon as you knock out the opponent....left gives you one outfit, right
gives you another....

SECRETS:
---------------
So far 2 codes have been found. A speed up code and a SECRET Options code. Much
Thanks to Stormboltr for the two...

SECRET OPTIONS:  Go into the options screen, down to congfiguration and enter:
                       B, X, DOWN ON D PAD, A, Y
You will here a soud if done correctly. You have the choice here from playing
the original or sequel backgrounds, music, colors, or both. Choosing random
will mix it all up. Also when choosing the random CPU color mode, you get some
funky colors. Felicia is the weirdest by far...
You can also set the number of rounds, and listem to the music from the game,
including the music form DS 1!!! If you set the options to al Random, you will
also get the DS 1 intro...!!! On all random settings, the intro will change from
DS1 to DS2 everytime....
The ANIMATION optiong gives you full animation when playing same character VS
same character only.
To get the characters DARK COLORS, go the the character of choice and pres and
hold A and Y until the character changes color....
SPEED UP CODE:  Go to options on the mode select screen and enter:
X, X, FOWARD ON D PAD, A, Z
You will here a sound if done correctly. This gives you up to 8 stars of speed
for gameplay, and playing it on 8 sure is one heck of a challenge...
