Introduction

This guide is written by me (xyqyx) and it covers every little detail of the
game. This entire guide is filled with spoilers. If you have anything to tell
me, please contact me at [email protected] Please take note that all mails
will not be replied (unless it is a very special case). All the questions will
be answered in future updates. Updates will take at most one month. This is to
make sure that you will read the guide without having me to reply to the same
question repeatedly. If you see no updates, that means that the question that
you are asking is in the FAQ and you should read that part again. Send all your
comments to me, good or bad. This document should only be found in GameFAQs.com
If it is found anywhere else, please contact me.
The contents of this FAQ might be similar with other
FAQs/guides/walkthrough/etc. on the internet. This is because I have read
through them before I started writing mine. In no way have I
copied/edited/expanded/etc. other people's work to become mine. I apologize for
any inconvenience that I may have caused.

Story
=====

Earth has entered the Virtual Century (V.C.). There are many large syndicates
that control this world as it enters the Dark Age. Space colonization has the
higher priority than saving the world. In V.C.0084, DN, one of the syndicates
found an ancient civilization on the moon surface that has high technology
compared to anyone. Virtuaroids were created but are difficult to control.
"Virtual On Positive" people have the ability to control the virtuaroids with
ease. DN creates the video game "Virtual On" to find these people. A remote
control system is linked to the virtuaroids on the moon for people to control
without them knowing. Soon, DN enterprise is having problems controlling the
system. The ultimate weapon, Sun Cannon has been activated by the system and DN
decided to destroy the entire system on the moon surface. Operation Moongate is
put into action and Virtual On Positive players are used to destroy the system
without them knowing.
DN enterprise found a damaged virtuaroid that looks similar to human beings.
DN enterprise failed to repair the damaged virtuaroid. So, the V-generator was
taken out to develop other virtuaroids. Later on, two testing virtuaroids were
made. Temjin, MBV-04-G is the Main Battle Virtuaroid. Raiden, HBV-05-E is the
Heavy Battle Virtuaroid. The power of Raiden's Laser are so immense because it
was used to destroy invading spacecraft before they reaches the planet's
atmosphere. Raiden's Laser comes from battle cruisers that were taken apart
after the war. The cost to built Raiden was expensive. So, only 26 Raidens were
built.
Apharmd, MBV-09-C is another Main Battle Virtuaroid with a more powerful
V-generator and enhanced close range combat weapons to compensate for the
downgraded long-range weapons. Dorkas, HBV-10-B is the second Heavy Battle
Virtuaroid designed from Raiden. Dorkas cost less to build and it is much
faster than Raiden. A low point of gravity was given so that Dorkas will not
fall down easily.
After the testing of XMU-06-A Viper and TRV-06-E Viper, Viper II, TRV-06k-H
is a Tactical Reconnaissance Virtuaroid made with the designs from Temjin and
was developed for reconnaissance purposes. When Viper II is being tested, they
found that a large amount of the V-generator's power is not being used. When
the power was tapped, Viper II came down like a flaming meteor. People gasped
and said, "She's lost control" before the SLC Dive attack was given its name.
Belgdor, SAV-07-D is build because Raiden was too expensive. This unit was
built as a Support Attack Virtuaroid to assist in long range attacks.
Fei-Yen, SRV-14-A is the 13th version after building 12 different Fei-Yens.
Fei-Yen is a Special Reconnaissance Virtuaroid that does not originate from the
original blueprints of Fei-Yen. The blueprints of the original Fei-Yen was lost
mysteriously.
Bal-Bas-Bow, XBV-13-t11 is the 11th virtuaroid developed based on the damaged
virtuaroid on the moon surface. It is an Experimental Battle Virtuaroid and is
still a prototype virtuaroid and it doesn't seem to synchronize with the
V-generator. The handling and its speed are affected because of this.

===================
General Information
===================

- Left weapon is normally a virtuaroid's special weapon.
- Centre weapon is normally a virtuaroid's primary weapon.
- Right weapon is normally a virtuaroid's main projectile weapon.
- For the arcade, there are two joysticks. Pushing the controllers inwards will
make the virtuaroid defend in close range combat or use it to do a crouch
attack. Pushing the controllers outwards will make the virtuaroid jump. Press
both attack buttons to use the centre weapon.
- When you get close to your opponent, a double lock on will be seen and you
will be in close range combat. Some of your weapon will be in yellow colour,
which indicates that you can use your close range combat weapons.
- When in close range combat, hold left or right and attack and you will do a
 circular attack.
- To lock on to your opponent, you can:
 - Do a dash attack
 - Turn towards your opponent
 - Jump
- The crouch button is used for air attacks and to guard close range attacks.
- Guarding a close range combat attack will still deal a small amount of
 damage.
- There is a slight recovery time for every attack you do.
- When you are knockdown and your opponent is nearby, you can use your close
 range combat weapons to counterattack.
- All weapons have a little homing ability.
- Perform a jump and then cancelling it (jump cancel) will avoid most
 projectiles and close range attacks.
- The number of battle rounds can be set for the PC with a maximum of five.
- The number of battle rounds is two for the arcade.
