                               Spoiler Warning
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

There will not really be any spoilers throughout this guide. I'm not sure how
spoilers usually appear in platform-style games. In "The Simpsons Game," the
story will not be what drives you to complete the game, rather, it will be the
humor, and there is no way that I could ruin the humor in this game in a guide
such as this. However, I still feel the need to include a spoiler warning here,
as I suppose that some could argue that listing the names of the levels could
spoil certain themes or gameplay elements for the levels.

-----------
Version 0.3
-----------

Just beginning the walkthrough. I want to take a new direction with this
guide. Instead of completing the game multiple times to master it, I'm going to
keep this guide going as I play the game myself. I noticed this happening when
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was released, and I realized that it is a pretty
interesting idea that I would like to try.

-----------
Version 0.6
-----------

I've only been working on this guide for about a week now, and I've almost
finished walkthrough. However, I do have five more levels to complete, then I
have to go back and search for the collectibles that I have missed. Hopefully I
can finish everything before 11/17! GameFAQs community, help me out!

-----------
Version 0.9
-----------

Thanks to many readers (credited towards the end of the guide), this file is
almost in its final form. All I have left to do is to go back and put in a few
missing collectible locations throughout the walkthrough. Finally, I have to
make lists of the locations of the collectibles and clichés outside of the
walkthrough and this guide will be COMPLETE!

-----------
Version 1.0
-----------

The walkthrough is finished and the collectible and cliché sections are
finished. I have gone through and fixed all of the embarrassing typographical
errors that I could find. All in all, this guide is finished, and I plan to
submit it for the FAQ of the Month contest (November 2007).

                          1.0.0 - Introduction
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

I have been a fan of "The Simpsons" my entire life. I have watched the
television show as far back as I can remember. As a matter of fact, the initial
syndication began in the same year in which I was born. I pretty much played
all of the games that were released during the show's peak, as well as more of
the "modern" Simpsons games such as "The Simpsons: Hit & Run," and "The
Simpsons Road Rage," with "Hit & Run" personally being one of my favorite games
of all time. The mix of GTA's sandbox style of play with the The Simpsons humor
was a match made in heaven. Although I did enjoy most of the games released
before the turn of the century, I have to say that the more recent games have
hit closer to home for me.

When I heard about "The Simpsons Movie" and "The Simpsons Game," I became
ecstatic. Finally, something new from my favorite television show of all time.
Having been a huge fan of the show from literally the time that I understood
what it meant to laugh, I waited impatiently for this game for months.

I have not yet made the jump into the next generation of consoles. As a matter
of fact, I just recently purchased a GameCube and an XBox from friends of mine.
I choose to stay a generation behind in console gaming because I can save a lot
of money. Unfortunately, people tend to think that old games are not fun. I
suppose one man's trash is another man's treasure. These games are good for
nostalgia as well as for the wallet.

When demos for "The Simpsons Game" appeared in early October on XBox Live and
the Playstation Network, I became a little nervous in hearing such negative
reviews. I heard several complaints, namely sloppy controls and a bad camera.
Without having a chance to actually get my hands on the demo, I decided that
this game would not be Game Of The Year material, but simply for fans of the
show. As I am currently playing through the game, I realized that I was right.
The game does not quite reach the level of "Hit & Run," but remains a solid,
entertaining platformer. Anyone will be able to find enjoyment out of this game
at some level, but fans of the television show will truly be able to enjoy this
game for what it is: an eight hour episode of the show.

I would like to stress a point that in which I think most others would agree.
In writing this guide, my intention is not for you to load this game up for the
first time with this guide by your side, taking you through every step of the
game. I recommend that you play through the game yourself, only using this
guide whenever you must.

                                2.0.0 - Story
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

After having his copy of "Grand Theft Scratchy" taken by his mother, Bart is
walking through an alley when a game manual for "The Simpsons Game" falls from
the sky. Bart opens it up to find that he and the rest of his family possess
special powers: Bart, with the ability to turn into Bartman; Homer, with the
ability to assume three different forms; Lisa, with the ability to call upon
the Hand of Buddha; and Marge, with the ability to gather people by her side
and to bend their will as she wants to. Essentially, hilarity ensues as the
Simpson family uses these unique powers to make a difference in Springfield.

After preventing theft and vandalism at a museum, winning an eating contest,
interrupting a deforestation project, and hindering the release of the "Grand
Theft Scratchy" game throughout Springfield, the Simpsons family members
realize that their powers are not enough when the aliens Kang and Kodos begin
attacking Springfield. For help and guidance, they go to see Professor Frink
who gives them a copy of "The Simpsons Game" player's guide to help them with
their journey.

Continuing through the game, the family receives new powers. After defeating
The Creator, the family falls to its last resort, leading to a final boss fight
that will surely have you rolling on the floor laughing.

                             5.0.0 - Walkthrough
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.0.1 - The Land of Chocolate
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------
      Target Time - 5:00
        Character - Homer
Video Game Clichés - 2
--------------------------

A television-quality cinematic begins with Homer slipping into a dream-state.
He finds himself in the Land of Chocolate. After a conversation with the white
rabbit, you assume control of Homer. Personally, I think that the Tutorial
Level itself should have been made into the first Cliché, but that's just me.
Because the first level of the game is a tutorial, I will treat this part of
the walkthrough as such.

The message at the top of the screen tells you to access the Things To Do list
by pressing Select. Press it to see the first of many "things to do," (from
now on referred to as "objectives"):

- Follow the white rabbit through the village

Ignore the well on the same path you are currently on. Follow the white rabbit.
Press X to jump across the marshmallow's in the river of chocolate.
If you look carefully, you will notice that the white marshmallow's have
shining spots on them. This means that jumping on this platform will make your
character jump onto the following platform automatically. These appear all
throughout the game, so learn how to use them well. While going around the
corner, move the right analog stick to the left and to the right to move the
game's camera accordingly. Press in the right analog stick (R3) to reset the
camera back behind your character. An issue exists in regards to the game's
camera. Do you see how, assuming you haven't adjusted the game's settings, that
the camera swings around very quickly? If this bothers you, press start and go
into the options menu and go into controls. Here, you can tune the X-axis
sensitivity and the Y-axis sensitivity however you need to. I personally
dropped them both to the left twice. If you happen to fall into the river, you
die, but thankfully you don't have to restart the level, you just restart
wherever you fell in. This applies to anywhere else in the game where it is
possible to die - you don't restart the level, just that particular area. This
even applies to dying at the hands of enemies. If your health is depleted from
the hits of enemies, it will eventually refill itself and you will be revived.

After the marshmallows, jump onto the cobblestone. Press X to jump, and press X
again in mid-jump to perform a double-jump, collecting your first of 31 "video
game clichés. On the cake, follow the white rabbit to the left across the
bridge. Press Square to use Homer's basic attack and defeat the chocolate
rabbit. Notice that upon death, the enemy drops blue glowing orbs. Collect them
to fill up the power meter in the lower left corner. Punch through the
chocolate trolleys and continue down the path, eliminating any bunnies that
cross your path. A message tells you to look out for collectibles located
throughout the stages. Hop onto the nearby marshmallow with the shining spot to
jump on top of a nearby house of candy and collect Homer's first of five
collectible items in this stage, a Duff bottlecap.

Hop off of the house and continue on to the next area. As you kill the
chocolate bunnies, they respawn. To prevent this, you must destroy the large
Marge fountains. Do so, and kill the rest of the bunnies if you want. Hop onto
the nearby white marshmallow to jump onto another house and to collect the
second Duff bottlecap. From there, go after the rabbit again. In the next area
you will receive another objective:

- Climb the cake and eat the White Rabbit

You have to destroy three more Marge fountains to stop the onslaught of
bunnies. Do so, then kill all of the bunnies in the area to give you a clean
area to work in. Press the action button, Triangle, by the lever in the middle
of the area to collect another video game cliché. Before ascending the cake,
there are some more bottlecaps to collect. Follow the path around to the left
side of the cake, and double-jump up all of the frost-covered ledges to find
the third bottlecap at the top.

Descend the ledges again and head to the right side of the area. Double-jump
onto the chocolate matchstick looking things sticking from the wall. Continue
on and at the top, run along the bridge to collect the fourth bottlecap. Go
back down to the main area, killing the newly-spawned bunny on the bridge. Head
to the front of the cake, with the two rising and falling platforms. When the
time is right, hop onto the platform on the right. Wait until the platform on
the left is lower then the one you're on, and hop onto it. Once it rises to the
top, jump onto the cake. Use the marshmallow to the right to hop to the next
level, and then use the two from here to get up yet another level. Use the
ladders to reach the top. Kill the White Rabbit just as you have all of his
"relatives," and you will eat him. In doing so, Homer undergoes his first
special transformation - Homer Ball.

After falling through the top of the cake and hitting the bottom of the inside,
you receive the next objective:

- Use Homer Ball to defeat the chocolate bunnies.

Use Square to perform a Homer Ball Burst. Destroy the giant chocolate bunny
head to reveal the fifth and final Duff bottlecap. Continue moving around the
inside of the cake, and the level will end itself.

Inside the Simpsons house, to go to the next level, stand in the light at the
front door and press Triangle.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                           5.0.2 - Bartman Begins
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time - 10:00.00
       Characters - Bart/Homer
Video Game Clichés - 2
-------------------------------

The first real level of the game uses Bart and Homer together. Remember, use
the directional buttons to switch between characters. The message tells you to
press Circle to use Bart's slingshot. From the beginning, jump across the gap,
and use Bart's slingshot to destroy the barrel in the rock wall. Jump into it
and continue on into the big room.

You begin this level with a simple objective.

- Use Bart to find a way across the chasm

Switch to Homer, and head to the left side of the room to find the first Duff
bottlecap. Then, go to the center of the room, and stand on the pressure pad on
the right side (The one with the light emanating from it. Take this as another
hint for the rest of the game. When objects have the blue line of light
coming from them, they are usually important). Three pillars emerge from one of
the columns on the right side of the room. Switch back to Bart, and head over
to the aforementioned columns. Ascend the platforms jutting out of them to the
very top, and jump onto the rock with the blue light. The message tells you
about Bart's cape glide. To use it, jump into the air and press and hold R1.
Look down into the chasm at the lone pressure pad standing atop the pillar.
Jump up and use Bart's cape glide to land on the pressure pad, building a
bridge across the chasm out of the snake's tongue.

Walk across the bridge to the other side of the chasm. After the cinematic,
your receive a new objective:

- Find the secret entrance to the museum

On the other side of the bridge, step on the pressure pad on the left to open a
secret door on the left. Go inside this room with Homer to get to second
bottlecap. As you exit the room, you are credited with finding the first video
game cliché from this level. If your other character steps off of the pressure
pad and you are trapped in the room, the lever on the inside will open the door
again for you. At any rate, leave the room and take control of Bart. Staying on
the left side of the room, go to the vines on the wall with the shining light.
By simply jumping onto certain surfaces, Bart can climb walls. Follow the ivy
up and to the left. At the top, grab the first of Bart's five collectibles in
this level, the Krusty Koupon. Go back down the wall and run to the other side
of the room. Climb up the vines here and hop off of them onto the platform at
the top. An icon appears featuring a camera surrounded by a red circle with a
line through it. This indicates that you cannot move the camera here. Continue
across the next platform to the left, grabbing the second Krusty Koupon, and
hop onto the
platform with two pressure pads to get another video game cliché. Notice that
when you have to make jumps like this, the jumps may seem difficult because the
placement of the camera does not allow you to see where your character is in
relation to the platform below them, but this is no problem. You can use your
characters' shadows as guides.

Pull the lever on the far left of the platform to drop a ladder down for Homer.
Stand on one of the pressure pads, and Homer will automatically run up the
ladder and step on the other pad. The secret entrance to the museum opens.

Here, I must stress a very important point. In any levels where you have
Bart as one of your characters, the enemies should never be a problem. I have
made an interesting observation. All of the regular attacks (using the Square
button) of the Simpsons cause the enemies to fall on the ground. While enemies
are on the ground, they cannot be targeted and they cannot be attacked.
Interestingly enough, Bart's slingshot attack does not always knock enemies
down. Because of this, you can more often than not shoot enemies and get
through them much faster.

Take control of Homer, and as you are descending the steps, head through the
passage on the right (in the direction from which you just came) and grab the
third bottlecap. Go back into the main room, and retaining control of Homer,
climb the ladder by the skeleton of the T-Rex. Have Homer jump onto the head of
the skeleton, and let Bart climb to the top of the ladder. While Homer's weight
on the head of the skeleton makes an adequate bridge, run with Bart down the
back of the skeleton and glide to the platform off the tip of its tail. Go
through the corners and into the next room to get your next objective.

- Drop the dinosaur bones on Dolph

Look down into the room at the volcano. Glide with Bart to the lever by the
volcano and pull it. Pulling the lever does three things. It opens doors so
that Homer can come into the room, it opens several doors throughout the room
through which the guards can enter, and it starts an updraft in the volcano.
The message tells you that you can use Bart's cape to ride updrafts. Put that
thought on hold for a moment, and run with Bart to the far side of the room.
Grab the third Krusty Koupon behind the giant tree.

Run back to the volcano and ride the updraft, bouncing off of the two
dinosaurs, and landing on the wire. Use the left analog stick to move Bart to
the other end of the wire, and drop off onto the tree. Double jump twice to get
up to the top tree, and grab Bart's special slingshot ammo. Face Dolph behind
the glass, and use L1 to aim at the green button above the dinosaur skeleton.
Shoot it to drop the bones onto him and to complete your current objective.
Glide down and through the newly opened double doors to get to the next area,
as well as a new objective:

- Frighten Kearney through the diorama

Now you have to worry about the normal security guards, as well as Sideshow Mel
security guards. The Sideshow Mel guards are a bit harder to defeat than the
regular ones, but they still shouldn't give you too much trouble. Take control
of Homer, and go up the stairs. Have him step into the "Zap The Past" booth to
turn all of the targets on the glass green. Assume control of Bart, and shoot
the green targets in order from left to right to scare Kearney through the
first part of the Diorama, and to open up the big door to the next section.

Continue down the hall, grabbing Bart's ammo on the right wall and dispatching
the guards. Use Homer again to activate the targets. Using Bart, shoot the
target in the middle to drop the drawbridge. Then, shoot the target on the left
and the target on the right to scare Kearney into the third and final portion
of the diorama. Activate the targets, and shoot the first one on the left. Kill
the three guards that spawn, then shoot the remaining three targets from left
to right to get your new objective:

- Defeat Kearney

While Kearney is running out of the diorama, grab the ammo to the right. Shoot
with Bart to slowly drain down Kearney's life until he's gone. In the next
room, have Bart grab all of his ammunition and have Homer grab his fourth
bottlecap. Head through the spacey tunnel to get to the final room and to your
next objective.

- Scare Jimbo off the UFO

First of all, grab Bart's ammo and kill every guard in the room to make your
life a lot easier. After that's done, head over to the vents that are shooting
out air. Position Homer in front of the middle one, and have Bart climb the
rock wall to the left, grabbing the fourth Krusty Koupon. Don't worry about
switching back to Homer, it's not necessary yet. Double jump into the first
vent, and ride the updraft to the right, landing on the middle of the three
rising and floating platforms. Hop down onto the ring around the earth and grab
Bart's fifth and final Krusty Koupon on the left.

Jump down and again scale the climbable wall with Bart. Now, switch to Homer
and pull the lever to temporarily activate the air in the middle vent. Go back
to Bart, and take the air from the three vents and jump onto the upside-down
space shuttle. From the opposite side of the spacecraft, jump onto the pole
that lies between you and the floating planets. Landing on it destroys the
base, so that Homer can climb it. Have him climb it, and make an extremely
tricky and potentially frustrating jump with him from the pole to the
spacecraft and grab the fifth and final bottlecap (Be patient if you don't make
the jump the first time, it is not an easy jump to make).

When you have the bottlecap, take control of Bart again. Go back to the vents,
and for the third time, take the air from the first vent and glide to the
middle floating platform. Wait until the time is right, and hop onto the left
platform. At its peak, jump onto the UFO to complete your objective and to
receive your final one.

- Defeat Jimbo

This should be just another straightforward fight, take control of Bart and
wail away at the enemy. Be careful, however, as his laser shots are powerful.
Once he's down, the level ends.

5.0.3 - Around The World in 80 Bites
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time - 10:00.00
       Characters - Bart/Homer
Video Game Clichés - 1
-------------------------------

This level is timed, so you have to be quick on your feet. If you know what you
are supposed to do and where you are supposed go, you can easily grab all of
the collectibles in this level and finish it with plenty of extra time. The
entire concept behind the Homer Ball is that to activate and maintain it, you
must have calories. When you have no calories, you have no Homer Ball. To get
calories, simply pick up food items you find around the stage. You are
competing with others from Springfield to get through all of the countries
featured in the level (on a side note, thus far, this is my favorite level).

From the beginning, you unlock a video game cliché and are offered your first
objective:

- Use Homer Ball to get into Australia

Run straight forward and grab some fried chicken off of the stand. Press R1 to
activate the Homer Ball and head up the ramp to the right, grabbing the first
Duff bottlecap. As you approach the gap, press Square to launch Homer across
the gap and into Australia. Run to the back right corner of the area to the
piece of red rock being balanced on another rock. Have Homer jump onto the rock
and stand on the right side to bring it lower to the ground, raising the left
side. Jump onto the rock with Bart and jump onto the brick platform, grabbing
the first Krusty Koupon. Run along to the other end and jump across the
umbrellas, gliding after the last one and landing near the second Krusty
Koupon. Press the Triangle button near the box of Chinese food to drop several
food items below for Homer to pick up and build up his calories.

Take control of Homer, and take the ramp down on the far side of Australia to
go into Mexico, receiving your next objective:

- Find and smash the super taco

Take Bart to the back left corner of the room, and ride the air current from
the fan onto the awning. Run around and take the zipline across the area. Drop
down, and jump the gap to grab the third Krusty Koupon. Jump down, avoiding the
barbed wire. Switch to Homer, and find the Piñata. Turn into Homer Ball, and
destroy it to free some space on the platform. From there, hop across the three
umbrellas onto the raised platform, and grab the golden shield. This shield
grants invincibility when you grab it. Jump down and head through the barbed
wire behind the concrete wall and grab the second bottlecap. Come back through
the barbed wire, and find the giant taco with the light shining on it. Go back
into Homer Ball form, and press Square to smash through the taco to enter
Germany and to get your next objective(s):

- Get Bart to the top of the Eiffel Tower
- Reach the lever to open the gate to Scotland

As Homer, find the building on the left side of Germany with the heart at the
top. To its right is a climbable pole bearing the colors of Germany's flag.
Climb the pole, and hop up the platforms and on top of the building to find
Homer's third bottlecap. To the right, break open the Duff barrel in the middle
to get some upgraded ammunition for Bart's slingshot. Head up the ramp to the
right, and grab Homer's fourth bottlecap, sitting in plain sight to the right
at the top of the ramp. Take Bart, and run under the golden Eiffel Tower to the
opposite side. Climb the ladder, and hop across the two umbrellas, riding the
air up to the zipline at the very top. Ride it across and land on the Eiffel
Tower. Pull the lever to the left to ride the elevator up to the top of the
monument. From the very apex of the tower, Bart glide down and land on the
Scottish flag (blue with a white "X" through it). If you happen to go past the
flag, turn around and climb the ivy to get back up to it. Activate the nearby
lever to open the door into Scotland and to get the next objective:

- Find a way to open the gate to Scotland

Take Bart and Homer into the small castle like building on the left side of
Scotland. Grab Homer's fifth and final Duff bottlecap, and take the ammunition
for Bart from the crate. Keep Bart for the moment, and head to the back left
part of Scotland. Climb the blue and white pole and jump across to the ivy. Get
close to the first flame, and Homer is able to automatically extinguish it for
a moment. Quickly traverse the ivy to the left and wait at the second flame.
When Homer momentarily extinguishes it, continue to the left and jump off onto
the platform. Head to the back and grab Bart's fourth Krusty Koupon on the
right that juts back into Germany. When you have it, hop back down into
Scotland.

Switch to Homer, and go to the ramp outside of the building. Homer Ball and
launch into the blue light at the Stonehenge like pillars to knock them down
like dominoes. Walk across them around the curve and jump onto the set of
bagpipes. Go back into Homer Ball form and jump into the air, pressing Square
to slam down on them, releasing air from the pipes. Take Bart and use the air
from the pipes to glide to the next lever. Pull it to open the door to Italy,
and to get your next objective:

- Smash the super meatball

Switch back to Homer and head to the right side of Italy. Line yourself up with
the spatula and the blue light. Go into Homer Ball, and launch yourself up the
handle of the spatula and onto the end of the fork to lower a noodle ladder.
Switch to Bart and ascend the ladder, jumping off onto the platform. Head to
the right and go up the scaffolding to arrive on the next level. Follow the
curve to the right, but climb the ladder on the other side of the far pillar.
Make your way platform-style across the tops of the columns to grab Bart's
fifth Krusty Koupon. Take note of your next objective:

- Get Homer into America

Drop down and follow the curve again to meet Homer. Drop down onto the bridge,
and climb the nearby patch of ivy all the way to the top. Turn to the right and
look down into the area on the right. Near the giant cylinders that say "Duff,"
double-jump and glide down onto the raised platform, grabbing the sixth and
final Krusty Koupon. Make your way back through Italy all the way back to the
bridge, and climb the section of ivy to the top again. This time, stay straight
and Bart Glide into the next area (don't try to land on the platform with the
lever, you could fall and have to make your way there again). Climb the ladder
onto the platform and pull the lever to open the bridge into America. Take
Homer into America to end the timer and to get your final objective:

- Destroy the Statue of Liberty and smash the super burger

Go into Homer Ball and jump onto the raised quarter. Jump and Homer Smash down
onto the quarter to lower the protective barrier around the statue. Drop down
and launch yourself into the statue to lower it. Repeat this twice (You have to
launch yourself into the cracks in the side of the statue, or the game will not
count it as a hit). The super burger falls to the ground. Get on top of it,
still in Homer Ball form, and Homer Smash it to destroy it and end the level.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.0.4 - Lisa the Tree Hugger
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------
      Target Time - 10:00.00
       Characters - Bart/Lisa
Video Game Clichés - 2
------------------------------

The level begins with an objective:

-Enter the Auntie Nature logging operation

Get rid of the three lumberjacks that face oppose you from the beginning. Go
through the sliding doors. As a rule of thumb, all throughout this level it
will be much easier to take out all the enemies and to get rid of their respawn
points in each area. Take out the blue porta-potty (the respawn device for this
level) near the back of the area, and take control of Lisa. Hop onto the stump
with the shining Buddha statue. Lisa has a very unique special ability. She can
call upon the Hand of Buddha to pick up and move large objects. Press Triangle
at the statue to activate the Hand of Buddha. You use the R1 button to control
the hand, holding R1 to pick up objects, and releasing it to drop them. Items
that you can pick up are outlined in green when you put the hand over them.

Beside the logging truck at the bottom of the screen, pick up the two pieces of
tree on the right side and place them onto the pieces on the left that they
match. To the right of the Buddha statue, pick up and drop the rock that is
sitting on the bulldozer. Press Triangle to exit the Hand of Buddha mode, and
take control of Bart. Jump onto the bulldozer and grab his first Krusty Koupon
for this level. Pick up Lisa's first Malibu Stacy coupon that you uncovered by
moving the tree pieces. Climb the stairs made by the trees, but before you
touch the lever, dispatch of all the enemies in the next area, and destroy the
porta-potty to make your job easier. After that's done, activate the lever to
open the door to the next area and to get the next objective:

- Dismantle the logging machinery

Grab Lisa and activate the second Buddha statue. Near the top of the screen,
pull off the rattling piece on the orange machine and drop it on the ground.
Use Bart to ride the air onto the end of the conveyor belt above. Press
Triangle near the trampoline to knock it down so that Lisa can jump up to join
you. Run a little bit up the conveyor belt, and have both Lisa and Bart stand
on the red buttons to destroy the machinery ahead. Take control of Bart and hop
down. From a distance, take out the two nearby lumberjacks that are standing in
the trees. With Lisa, jump off of the elevated platform near where the
lumberjacks stood and grab Lisa's second Malibu Stacy coupon. Take the ladder
on the left to get back up.

Continue down the belt to discover the video game cliché for this level. Take
Bart, and time a jump to get past the saw blades and to the ladder on the other
side. Climb it and grab Bart's ammunition. Turn around and shoot the green
button above the giant saw blade to complete your current objective and to
receive a new one:

- Ride the conveyor

Climb up the giant saw blade that you just destroyed and grab Bart's second
Krusty Koupon off of it. Get back onto the conveyor belt, and continue down the
path. Be careful once you get to the moving section of the belt. Traverse
through the three vertical blades, and activate the nearby lever to turn them
off. Through this next area, time and place your jump to avoid all of the saw
blades (you may die here, it can be tricky). Pull the nearby lever to freeze
the nearby blades and to knock off part of the guard rail. You receive a new
objective:

- Find a way to the river

Hop down, and climb the nearby saw blades in the trees and go to the Buddha
statue. Grab the saw blade on the ground and drop it into the crack in the
tree. Go down and grab the piece of the conveyor belt just after the green
water. Drop it over the river of green for a make-shift bridge (you have to
drop it more on the north side of the river for it to properly fall in place).
With Bart, jump onto the saw blade that you placed in the crack in the tree and
grab his third Krusty Koupon.

Run across the bridge that you just made to trigger a cutscene. Afterwards,
continue forward to the next area. Again, clear the area of enemies and destroy
their respawn point. Jump onto the first trampoline to find Lisa's third
collectible. Activate the nearby Buddha statue. Grab the three large containers
and drop them on the conveyor belt, destroying them all. Grab Bart's fourth
Krusty Koupon that you uncovered with the uppermost container. Jump on the
trampoline beside the conveyor belt to get to the other side (you are only
credited with this objective once you get both Bart and Lisa to the other
side).

With Bart, go across the river with the zipline, and destroy the enemies and
the porta-potty on the other side. Activate the lever nearby the zipline to
turn the river into a game of "Frogger." Switch back to Lisa and get across the
river by jumping across the logs, alligators, and tortoises. Be sure to notice
that the tortoises go under water, so time your jumps accordingly with their
diving patterns. On a platform on the right side of the river (from Lisa's
point of view) is the fourth and final Malibu Stacy coupon for this level. Once
she's across, go ahead and grab Bart and go back to the middle island to grab
his fifth Krusty Koupon (Take control of Bart and stand on the edge of one of
the piers so that the camera will flip up top for you, Frogger-style. Don't be
impatient and get in a hurry - doing so will only cause you to die as the
camera swings around in mid-jump).

Once he's back on the other side, take note of your new objective(s):

- Open the floodgates
- Reconfigure the factory pipes

Take Lisa to the left side of the area and activate the nearby Buddha statue.
You have to take off the removable factory pipes to the right, and drop them in
certain places to change the direction of the air flow. In all, there are four
removable pieces: one on the left, shooting air upwards; on the right,
connecting two pieces of pipe; and another "L" shaped one on top of another
that is shooting air to the left and to the right. Grab the one on the far
left, and drop it onto the hole in the wall that is level to the platform on
which the Krusty Koupon sits. Grab the one on the far right and drop it just
below the one you just dropped. Of the two left, grab the top one and drop it
in the same place you just dropped the second one. Grab the final piece and
drop it onto the air on the far right (where you removed the second piece).

Take Bart and traverse the air currents - first to the far light to grab his
final Koupon. Prepare yourself for the next part. It is not difficult, it is
just timed, but it still should not be very difficult. Ride the far right air
current to reach the elevated platform, to view another small cutscene, and to
get your final objective:

- Save Lenny and Carl

Hop down and activate the nearby lever to open a space in the guard rail.
Switch to Lisa and climb the pipe just below the piece of rail that just swung
open. Activate the nearby Buddha statue. Go along the conveyor belt and reach
down upon Lenny and Carl to remove the green thing that is weighing them onto
the conveyor belt. After the small cutscene, time a shot with Bart's slingshot
through the machinery to hit the target and to end the level.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                              5.0.5 - Mob Rules
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time - 15:00.00
       Characters - Lisa/Marge
Video Game Clichés - 2
-------------------------------

Marge has a unique special ability as well. Using her megaphone, she has the
ability to bring the will of the people of Springfield under her control. When
next to a citizen of the city, press Circle to use the megaphone to bring them
under your control. Afterwards, target something using L1, and while holding
the button press Circle to control the person/people in your mob. Again,
remember that Lisa can call upon the Hand of Buddha at certain statues. The
level opens, as always, with your first objective:

- Destroy 3 Grand Theft Scratchy floats

Take control of Flanders right in front of you. Right behind him, jump around
the barriers in front of the police cars to discover the first video game
cliché for the level. Destroy the GTA float to the left, and bring Apu under
your control. Destroy the second float, and grab Edna Krabappel to your left.
Kill all of the enemies in the area, and destroy the final float to reveal a
trampoline and to initiate your second objective:

- Clear a path for the mob

Take control of Lisa, and jump onto the building with the trampoline. Follow
the right ledge around the side of the building to grab the first of her Malibu
Stacy coupons for this level. Take control of the nearby Buddha statue, and
one-by-one pick up the cars in the nearby pile and drop them on the ground to
destroy them. For added effect, drop them onto the nearby guards to kill them.
Once a path is made, you receive your third objective:

- Destroy 2 Grand Theft Scratchy floats

Take control of mob and take the mob through the newly opened path. Dispatch of
all of the enemies in this first area, a task made much harder by bad camera
angles. Once that's done, send the mob in to destroy the 2 floats before you
and to receive your next objective:

- Build a bridge

Take control of Lisa and climb the ladder on the left side of the area. Assume
control of the Hand of Buddha, and take the pieces left from the two floats
that you just destroyed to construct a bridge that reaches across the gap to
the far left side. You receive your next objective:

- Find and destroy 2 billboards

Before releasing the Hand, take the green ladder on top of the building Lisa on
which Lisa stands, and drop it just off the bottom side of the building.
Traverse it with Lisa and go around to get her second coupon. Take control of
Marge and lead the mob across the newly constructed bridge. Take out the guards
and command the mob to destroy the cracks in the wall to the left. In the next
area, go down to the lower level and approach the cracks in the wall to
discover the other video game cliché in this level. Destroy the wall and take
Marge's first Try-n-Save coupon from the other side.

Head back up to the main level where you originally arrived, and take control
of Waylon Smithers standing nearby. Take Lisa and jump onto the trampoline. On
the upper level, take out the lone enemy and activate the Buddha statue. Pick
up and drop the cars to destroy them and make yet another path for the mob.
Lead everyone up to the upper level and destroy the first of the two billboards
to make a bridge to the next building. Take control of Lisa and climb onto the
box immediately to the left of the end of the bridge you just made. Climb to
the top of the green building to find her third coupon. Take Marge and make
Grandpa Simpsons a part of your mob.

Approach the green building from the right side with Marge, and press Triangle
beside the shining spot to send Maggie into the crawlspace. Have her go all
throughout the air duct, grabbing Marge's second Try-n-Save coupon, as well as
having her use her pacifier to turn off the electricity surrounding the second
billboard. Back outside, destroy the aforementioned billboard to get your next
objective:

- Destroy 3 Grand Theft Scratchy floats

Continue across the top of the buildings, taking care of the enemies along the
way, and instruct the mob to stand on the platform (as the in-game messages
tells you). Before doing anything else, take control of Lisa, and get beside
the green building on the other side of the platform. Ledge slide across the
beige piece to the other side of the building, and jump (not double-jump) from
pipe to pipe to reach her fourth coupon. Hop down and climb the ladder to the
left of the platform. Use Lisa's Hand of Buddha to remove the green cylinder
near the bottom of the platform, lowering the mob down a level. Hop down, and
defeat all of the enemies at the bottom (again, a task made unnecessarily
difficult because of a less-than-stellar camera system). Grab the nearby shield
of invincibility if you need to. Destroy the floats on the right, middle, and
left to get your next objective:

- Get the mob to the Town Square

Take control of Lisa and head to the left side of the level. Hop on top of the
buildings and activate the Hand of Buddha. Place the two nearby pieces of wood
from the slats protruding from the wall just to the right. Notice what was left
behind as you destroyed the floats? Take the pieces, and drop them into their
respective slots in the middle of the top of the screen. Switch to Marge and
use the same trampoline to get up to the wooden slats. Hop across them to reach
her fourth coupon. Go back down to where Lisa just dropped the three pieces
into the slots. Command your mob to build a ramp out of the pieces, as the
in-game message tells you.

Climb the ramp, and head to the immediate left and take control of Moe Syzlack.
A bit to the right there is another place to build. Tell your mob to construct
the mess into some scaffolding. Jump to the top with Lisa and use the Hand to
take the two black boxes and to put them in front of the path of water coming
out of the red fire hydrants. Head near the fire hydrant on the far right to
grab Marge's third coupon. Head back to the left and past the first fire
hydrant. Have the mob destroy the crack in the wall just beyond the open door,
and enlist the help of Snake inside. Exit the hole in the wall and go through
the open door to view a cutscene and to get another objective:

- Destroy the Grand Theft Scratchy statue

Go around the entire Town Square and kill every enemy you see, adding Principal
Skinner to your group in the process (you can find him on the left side of the
Town Square standing at the steps of the Springfield Museum). Additionally,
destroy all of the large black police vans, grabbing Lisa's fifth and final
coupon from around the first black van that see upon entering the area. When
that's done, destroy the giant statue in the middle to receive your last
objective:

- Flush out Mayor Quimby

Approach the right side of the Town Hall building. Let Maggie into the
crawlspace. With her, traverse the entire interior, grabbing Marge's fifth and
final Try-n-Save coupon for the level, and turning the three valves using
Maggie's pacifier. When you've activated the final valve, the level ends.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                         5.0.6 - Enter the Cheatrix
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------
      Target Time - 15:00.00
       Characters - Bart/Lisa
Video Game Clichés - 2
------------------------------

Your first objective encompasses the entire point of this level:

- Follow the Ape

In reaching this level, your family's health and power are upgraded.

From the beginning, step forward to the paper on the ground to get Bart's
grappling hook. Look up, and notice the three hooks that go across the two gaps
with the shining points. Facing the first one, press Triangle to activate the
grappling hook and to get to the second platform. Do the same thing for the
next two hooks. I recommend that for the second time, after you press Triangle
the first time, continue to press it repeatedly as you approach the hook so
that when you begin to fall, you will immediately grapple onto the hook after
it. On the final platform, pull the lever to open up the pipe from the first
platform so that Lisa can come over. Step on the two buttons to open the pipe
that sits before you. Jump inside.

In the next room, hop onto the pipe and grab some of Bart's special ammunition
for this level (a stack of coins). Hop onto the conveyor belt for a little bit,
and grapple the nearby hook to land on an elevated platform. Pull the lever to
stop the flow of electricity from the nearby pipe. Hope back onto the conveyor
belt and continue. Immediately after the pipe turn to the left to find the
enemies and the respawn point of this level (the "Employees Only" elevators. To
deactivate them, press Triangle in front of the button on their right sides.
Always deactivate the respawn points first, or you will fight more enemies than
you have to). Hop onto the nearby trampoline and traverse the ledges. Pull the
next lever to end the flow of electricity from the pipe.

Hop back onto the conveyor belt, and deactivate the second elevator. Dispatch
of the enemies in front of it, and grab some more of Bart's ammo on the nearby
ledge. With Bart, face across the conveyor belt from in front of the second
respawn point. Hop onto the yellow circular platform. From there, use your
grappling hook to get to the upper level. Pull the lever to activate the
platform, causing it to move. Switch to Lisa and hop onto the platform. Once it
comes around, hop on the ladder and join Bart. Hop onto the pipe that runs to
the right and grab Lisa's first Malibu Stacy coupon.

Go back across the platforms shooting green smog that look like salt and pepper
shakers, and rejoin Bart. Switch over to him now, and go across the zipline in
the back to get to the far back right platform to find his first Krusty Koupon.
Come back across, and take control of Lisa again. Take control of the Hand of
Buddha. You have to take the four gears and place them on the upper-most pegs
to continue the motion of the far right gear all the way to the far left one.
Grab one of the small gears and drop it on left-most peg. Grab one of the big
gears, and drop it right beside the one that you just placed. Take the other
large gear, and drop it right beside the one that is moving on the far right.
Finally, take the last small gear and drop it to the left of the one you just
placed. The movement of the gears causes a small platform to rise and fall.
Glide with Bart back onto the conveyor belt and make your way to the new
platform. Go across it and jump into the big green pipe to get your next
objective:

- Activate the exit pipe

To the left, where the wall turns black, use either Bart or Lisa to shimmy
across the edge of the black to the other platform. Pull the nearby lever to
drop down a platform with which your other character can make it to the other
side (your other character will automatically come across). Stand on the red
buttons to open the nearby pipe. Hop inside to get to the next area and to get
another objective:

- Find the exit pipe

Run across the conveyor belt and hop onto the platform to the right. Run across
this catwalk, past the enemy, and deactivate the elevator. Turn around and take
out the enemy you skipped, and use the pipe to jump up onto the next level.
Grab Bart's second Krusty Koupon to the left, and take control of Lisa. Step
in front of the Buddha statue, and Lisa's saxophone is upgraded. Take control
of the hand, and position the large piece of catwalk to go across the vats of
"Blood" and "More Blood." Run across the bridge you just made, and run to the
elevator to deactivate it. Kill the enemy you skipped, and go up the nearby
pipe to the next level. Use the trampoline to reach Lisa's second collectible,
and continue to the left. Go from the conveyor belt to the pipe, and climb up.
Grab some more of Bart's ammo and continue to the left. Deactivate the
elevator, take out the football players, and pull the lever to end the flow of
electricity.

Continue down the conveyor belt, and around the corner do the same thing you've
done already - deactivate the elevator, kill the enemies, pull the nearby lever
to make the rest of the path passable. Hop up and into the green pipe to
receive your next objective:

- Get to the next warp pipe

Turn around and jump on the trampoline. On the upper level, grab Bart's ammo
and his third Koupon. Look up, and shoot the Sonic look-alike to end the flow
of the green slime back down on the lower level. Run across the catwalk and
step on the red buttons to open up the green pipe. Jump inside to get another
objective:

- Cross the Marketing slime

Run down the conveyor belt. With Lisa, jump onto the far left "New!!" button
and onto the vertical pole on the left. Climb up and hop onto the platform.
Jump onto the other platform around the nearby corner and onto the trampoline
to go up another level. Grab her third coupon for the level. Run across the
catwalk to the right, and kill the red enemy to receive a video game cliché.
Look down over the left side of the catwalk bordered with red lines, take Lisa
and jump back down onto the conveyor belt. Hop across the two pink steps to
reach a platform with her fourth coupon.

Switch back to Bart and approach the far end of the catwalk to get your next
objective:

- Catch Stubborn Ape

Before doing anything, look to the left and use the grappling hook to reach the
platform to the left. Grab Bart's fourth Koupon and some of his ammo, and hop
down onto the level below, and deactivate the elevator to the left to stop the
continued onslaught of enemies. Turn around and kill all of the enemies in the
area. Jump onto the platform with three trampolines to receive the other video
game cliché in the level. Hop on the trampoline in the middle, and on the upper
level take the trampoline on the right to reach the top-most level. Deactivate
the nearby elevator and kill the enemies. Grab Bart's fifth Krusty Koupon, and
run across the conveyor belt to the right without getting crushed, and at the
end of the platform pull the lever to lower the platform.

Switch back to Lisa, and near the ledges with multiple trampolines, there is
another trampoline to the right. Hop on it to get to the upper level, and go to
the nearby Hand of Buddha statue. This is not the most obvious puzzle in the
game. I have seen on the message boards and in my inbox that many people have
had trouble with it. The entire point of the puzzles it to take the metal
U-Shaped Pipes to the right and to drop them on the collection of multi-colored
Mario pipes so that when Bart jumps into the red pipe, the U-Shaped pipes will
make a path that connects through a bridge of colors. Here's the solution to
the puzzle, then I will attempt to explain it based on that. The Mario pipes
are arranged like...

0..0..0
0..0..0
0..0..0

..and the metal U-Shaped pipes look like:

X
X

Drop the U-Shaped pipes onto the Mario pipes so that the arrangement looks
like:

0..X..0
X..X..X
X..0..X

Switch back to Bart on the elevated catwalk on the other side of the room. Face
the giant red pipe, and use your grappling hook to get to it. When he falls in
it, he comes out of the red Mario pipe on the other side. The U-Shaped pipes
takes him from the red pipe to the blue pipe, the blue pipe to the yellow pipe,
and the yellow pipe through the green paper, and out of the green pipe to the
left. I have not tried it, but I assume that if you arrange the pipes with the
Hand of Buddha to incorporate going into the purple pipe, you will come out of
the purple pipe coming from the wall and into the slime. At any rate, jump
through the green pipe on the far side of this room to get to the final area.

Jump onto the trampoline with Bart to reach the zipline that takes you across
the gap. Take care of the two football players and pull the lever to open up
the pipe from the first platform so that Lisa can join you. Grab her fifth
Malibu Stacy coupon. Step up to the Buddha statue to unlock the Hand of Buddha
Smash. Activate the Hand, and pick up the trash-can-lid looking object floating
in the slime. Drop it to destroy it, and to make a final green pipe appear.
Jump in it to be taken to the inner area with the Stubborn Ape.

Destroy the boxes to the left of the green pipe to uncover Bart's sixth and
final Krusty Koupon. Destroy the boxes in the far back right corner of the area
to uncover Lisa's sixth and final coupon.

This is not in the slightest a difficult boss fight. The entire point is to
take control of the three statues of Buddha, and to use your newly unlocked
Hand of Buddha smash three times on the Stubborn Ape. Once you use one statue,
the Ape throws a red barrel and destroys the one you just used. Use the
trampolines to reach either statue on the left and the right and use the statue
on the ground in the middle. Once you've hit him three times, Professor Frink
is freed and the level ends.

5.0.7 - The Day of the Dolphin
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------
      Target Time - 10:00.00
       Characters - Bart/Lisa
Video Game Clichés - 1
------------------------------

This level is quite short, but humorous, nonetheless. You begin with your
initial objective:

- Get past the boathouse

Before you do anything, take one of your characters and jump off of the dock
and into the water to receive the video game cliché for this level. Back on the
dock, kill the dolphins that hop up until the metal gate opens. Because there
will be so many dolphins to kill at one time throughout this level, I actually
recommend that you don't pick up any of Bart's special ammunition. This way,
you can quickly down all of the enemies in the level with rapid shots.
Additionally, interestingly enough, when you fight the dolphins in this level
and you knock them back into the water, they don't return. At any rate, Step
through the gate, and use Bart's slingshot on the green button in the air to
release the lifeboat into the water, completing a path across. Traverse the
platforms to receive your second objective:

- Cross the dolphin-infested pier

Immediately after jumping from the second lifeboat onto the next pier, turn to
the left and look up. You will find a spot where Bart can grapple. Do so to go
to the elevated building to the left. From where you land, look around the back
side of the building to find Bart's first Krusty Koupon sitting on the ground.
Hop across to grab it. If you want, grab some of the special ammunition from
inside the building (although, as I said, I recommend against it). When you're
down, hop back down to the main area.

Take control of the nearby Buddha statue. Pick up the two lifeboats floating in
the water and position them around the white boat on the wooden poles
protruding from the water to make a path to the giant carousel looking object.
Hop across the three boats onto the carousel to get Lisa's first Malibu Stacy
coupon. Go back to the Buddha statue and take the lifeboat that goes from the
white boat to the carousel and position it so that it goes to the raised area
towards the upper-left side of the screen. Cross the platforms and hop onto the
raised platform. Press the nearby button to open the metal gate into the next
area. Continue down the pier.

In the next area, kill the two dolphins that hop up. Look on the left side of
the "Twirling for Timeshares" booth to find Bart's second Krusty Koupon.
(Again, I recommend that you don't pick up any of the special ammunition,
however, if you would like to get it anyways, notice that it is scattered
plentifully all throughout the level). Continue down the path and kill the two
other dolphins that appear to open up the wooden door down the second right
turn. Go through the newly opened path. Immediately after stepping through the
doors, turn around and look behind the door on the left to find Lisa's second
Malibu Stacy coupon.

In the next area around the corner, be careful of the giant spinning octopus.
Touching it will take about half of your health bar away. Kill the various
dolphins that jump up to open the door. You see a little scene where a dolphin
wearing a king's crown jumps up and takes Captain Horatio McCallister (more
commonly known to casual Simpsons fans as "The Sea Captain") down a dirty pipe
and you receive a new objective:

- Find a way to enter the aquarium

Walk through the newly opened door and follow the path, jumping across the two
lifeboats and the little dingy to arrive at the place where the captain just
stood. Hop down the same pipe through which the captain and the king of
dolphins went to arrive in the aquarium and to receive your last objective:

- Defeat King Snorky!

After falling out of the pipe, immediately turn around to find Lisa's third
coupon. Go down the set of stairs and take control of the Buddha statue. Grab
one of the purple mushroom-looking objects and take it to the left side of the
room. Notice the trail of purple mushrooms hanging from the wall. Drop the
mushroom that you have in the Hand onto the gray platform jutting form the wall
and it will fall into place on top of it. Go back to the top of the room and
grab the second purple mushroom. There is another gray platform sticking from
the wall a little bit down from the one you just saw. Drop the second mushroom
on it.

Take control of Bart and run down farther into the room. This is where the
fighting can get pretty hectic. You will fight no less than ten dolphins at a
time down here. If you have not picked up any of Bart's special ammunition, you
will be able to defeat the enemies much faster. Look for the two tanks of water
on either side of the room (ignoring the one that was in front of the Buddha
statue). These two tanks are respawn points for the dolphins. Make your way to
either side of the room to the two tanks and pull the levers in front of them
to close them off, effectively destroying two respawn points (unfortunately,
the giant tank under King Snorky also works as a respawn point, but at least
you got rid of two of them.

Go back to the tank on the left side of the room (facing down from the Buddha
statue). Climb one of the ladders on either side of the tank, and then climb
the ladder to the right. Bart glide down to the rock jutting from the wall near
the rope. Climb the rope to the right until you get to the next platform. There
is another set of ropes for you to climb across (or you can just jump) to the
next platform to find Bart's third Krusty Koupon.

Next, run to the right side of the room (again, facing down from the Buddha
statue) to the air that is coming from the coral hanging on the wall. Ride the
air up to the rope on the wall, and climb to the left to find Bart's fourth and
final Krusty Koupon.

Finally, tank control of Lisa, and go down to the bottom right side of the
room, to the right of the tank that you closed off earlier. Interrupting the
trail of purple mushrooms down the wall is a rock. Jump onto it, and jump onto
the mushroom to the right to hop across two more mushrooms and land on a
hanging display whale. Lisa's fourth and final coupon is sitting right before
you.

Go back down to the rock on the right side of the room. Hop onto the mushroom
to the left to hop up onto another rock jutting from the wall. Take control one
last time of the Hand of Buddha, and grab the electric eel from the nearby
tank. Drop it into the large tank under King Snorky. Take control of Bart, and
get a good vantage point of the dolphin king. Shoot the target under him to
drop the platform he's standing on and to send him to his death in the water
below. The level ends.

5.0.8 - Shadow of the Colossal Donut
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time - 10:00.00
       Characters - Bart/Homer
Video Game Clichés - 1
-------------------------------

This is the level that was put into "The Simpsons Game" demo that was released
on XBox Live and the Playstation Network. Many people were scared away from
purchasing the full game on release because of this level, namely, because of
sometimes awkward controls and occasionally lousy camera angles. Many people
were deadset on not buying this game as a result of the demo saying that the
controls and the camera made for an overly-difficult experience. This could not
be farther from the truth. Now, I realize that some people are better at games
than other people are, and I realize that some people are simply bad at games.
Regardless, this level is not difficult. On my first playthrough, I finished
the level in five minutes, and that was with searching for some of the
collectibles.

At any rate, on with the walkthrough. Individually listing the three objectives
for this level would be redundant, so I will put them into a single one:

- Open Lard Lad's three hatches and disable his wiring

Lard Lad has three hatches on his backside: a low one near his bottom, a middle
one on his back, and a high one on the back of his head. Using Bart's
slingshot, target one of the hatches and shoot it to open it and to temporarily
stop Lard Lad from walking. As he stands still, jump up onto the open hatch and
press Triangle while facing him to disable his wiring and to receive a video
game cliché. You must disable three sets of wiring in all.

Each time you do it, Lard Lad runs way from you, giving you a little room to
breathe. After disabling the wiring from his bottom hatch, you must simply
catch up to him, get on top of a building near the path which he patrols, and
shoot open his middle hatch as he walks by. When it's open, jump from the
building and use Bart's cape to glide onto the open hatch, then disable the
wiring. After that, he runs away again. Find another tall building near the
path that he patrols and repeat the entire process with the upper-most hatch,
and the level ends.

---------------------
Bart's Krusty Koupons
---------------------

1 - Head into the construction yard near where you begin this level. Use one of
the trashcans to get to the second level of the construction yard, then use
ride the air from the vent to get to the third level and to the first
   Koupon.

2 - In front of the Tire Yard, there are three metal cylinders stacked in a
pyramid. The Koupon is inside the cylinder on top of the pyramid.

3 - On the building to the immediate left of The Frying Dutchman, there is a
clock that you can hook onto to get to the awning. Walk around to find the
   third Koupon.

4 - There is a large green warehouse to the right of the Frying Dutchman. On
the left side of it, jump on the trashcan to get to the second level, then
jump on the stacked mattresses to get to the top level. Go around the left
side to find the fourth Koupon.

5 - From the location of the fourth Koupon, continue around to the building to
get to the other side. Look down to the building on the left to find the
fifth coupon. Double-jump and glide down to retrieve it.

6 - On the wall of the blue building behind the Colossal Donut is a portion of
wall that Bart can climb. The sixth coupon is at the top.

7 - Go to the Grease Recycling Plant in the corner of the level, on the right
side of the building, Bart's seventh Koupon is a simple jump away.

8 - Standing in the parking lot of the Krusty Burger, face towards the Grease
Recycling Plant. There is a brown building with a very small blue building
to its immediate right. Jump onto the blue building, then look on the right
side of the brown building. Ride the air current to the top of the
building, then stand at the front of the building. Look down to find Bart's
eighth and final Krusty Koupon. Glide down to get it.

-----------------------
Homer's Duff Bottlecaps
-----------------------

1 - In front of Krustylu Studios (to the right of the Tire Yard) the first
bottlecap is sitting in plain view.

2 - Head to the Home Of The Colossal Donut. Follow the alley on the left of the
building down the ramp. Jump into the alleyway above the spot of oil on the
ground. The second bottlecap is just to the left.

3 - Head to the Home Of The Colossal Donut. On the right side of the building
there is a trashcan that will take you to the top of the building. The
   third bottlecap is straight ahead.

4 - Across the street from the Spirograph Factory is a Krusty Burger. The
fourth bottlecap is right beside the building.

5 - Walk around the construction yard until you see a large billboard across
the street advertising "Mini-Krusties." Jump on the nearby trashcan to go
to the second level of the construction yard. Use the nearby helium tank to
go into Helium Homer mode and float up to the little platform to find the
   fifth bottlecap.

6 - On the side of the construction yard facing the Tire Yard, there is a metal
cylinder suspended in the are with a helium tank on the ground nearby.
Activate the helium tank and float up into the cylinder to get the sixth
bottlecap inside (it may take a few tries to get inside).

7 - Across the street and to the left of The Frying Dutchman (facing away from
it) is a three-story blue building. Go through the alley behind it and hop
on the trashcan to get taken up a level. Simply jump up to the building to
the left to find the seventh bottlecap.

8 - There is a helium tank outside of The Frying Dutchman on the right. Go into
Helium Homer form and float straight up in the air. The eighth bottlecap is
on top of the rotating fish sign.

9 - Go to the Grease Recycling Plant in the corner of the level. Use the
trashcan on the left side of the building to get to the second level. Walk
around and look down the side of the building to find Homer's ninth and
final bottlecap. Line yourself up with the platform and jump off of the
   building onto it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                   5.0.9 - Invasion of the Yokel-Snatchers
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time - 5:00
       Characters - Bart/Homer
Video Game Clichés - 1
-------------------------------

After a very funny cutscene, you receive your first objective:

- Get to the tractor beam

From the beginning, hop onto the nearby brown truck with Bart. Jump across the
next truck laying on its side and onto a third truck to find his first Krusty
Koupon. Take Homer and head to the left side of the level. Destroy the boxes to
get a hotdog and take all of the nearby tacos to beef up his calories. Go to
the nearby truck with Krusty's picture on it. Press Triangle while facing the
green pipes with Homer to go into Helium Homer mode. Float over the Krusty
truck, and go inside of it from the other side to find Homer's first Duff
bottlecap. Switch back to Bart and approach the same truck at the helium tank.
He can climb the metal bars to get on top of the truck. From the top of the
truck, look down and to the left to see another area with a Krusty Koupon.
Simply jump and glide down to it to get Bart's second Koupon. Pull the nearby
lever to create another updraft back to the platform from which you just came.
Glide over the air and climb back on top of the Krusty truck and jump to the
other side to join Homer.

Follow the pavement around the curve. Be careful of the aliens on this level.
They are extremely weak (dying from a single hit from Bart's slingshot) but if
you get caught in the crossfire of many of them, it is extremely difficult to
get out. At the end, activate the second helium tank on the end and float up
and forward to find Homer's second bottlecap. Get some more helium, and cross
the giant gap from the crack in the pavement.

On the other side, head to the left and pull the lever to activate a stream of
air in the gap that Bart can cross. Switch back to Bart and ride the air across
to join Homer. Switch back to Homer and head towards the big red trailer with
wheels. Jump onto the nearby tire trampoline to land on the yellow piece
attached to the blue building. Run around the corner to find his third
bottlecap. Head through the red trailer with Bart, and climb the black bars to
find some special ammunition.

Go back to the lever you pulled to help Bart across. Using Bart's slingshot,
aim across the large gap to the right and take out the pile of aliens that are
waiting for you. Switch to Homer and take in some helium from the nearby green
tubes and float across the gap to the right. To your immediate left, pull the
lever to make another air current to help Bart join you. Do so, then pull the
lever that is on the other side of this section to create yet another jet of
air. Take Bart and glide through the jet and onto the pole. Climb almost to the
top (leaving a little bit of space to give you some extra room). Double jump
towards the platform in the middle and glide down to it to find Bart's third
and final Krusty Koupon. Jump onto the nearby trampoline to rejoin Homer. Have
Homer and Bart step upon the "Thank You Come Again" mats to open the doors and
to get to your next objective.

- Rescue Cletus

Simply approach Cletus and pull the nearby lever to satisfy this objective,
trigger a small cutscene in which Cletus swears revenge against the aliens, and
go up to the next level with your next objective:

- Disable the alien portals

Around the room you will see the five portals suspended above the ground, each
with a giant ramp under it. Go into Homer Ball mode, and use the Homer launch
to go up all five ramps and into the five portals to destroy them. When they
are all gone, a pink console appears in front of what resembles an optical
illusion along the wall and you receive your final objective:

-Turn off the tractor beam

Approach the pink console, and grab Homer's fourth and final Duff bottlecap
from behind it (the bottlecap has always been there, but I did not have a good
reference point to help you find it until you destroyed the five portals).
Press Triangle while facing the pink console from the front to end the level.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                             5.1.0 - Bargain Bin
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time - 2:00
       Characters - Bart/Homer
Video Game Clichés - 1
-------------------------------

The level opens with your only objective:

- Shut down the cartridge incinerator

From the beginning, run straight forward and jump off of the platform to
receive the video game cliché for this level. When you respawn back on the
platform, break open some of the nearby crates to reveal some cherries so Homer
can get a few calories. Walk to the black and yellow stripe on the right, and
grapple a hook near Will Wright to get to the other side. Pull the nearby lever
to extend a bridge so Homer can join you. Go into Homer Ball form and launch
yourself into the cracked door to open it.

Walk through the door and walk down. Before dropping down onto the walkway
below, look up and grapple the nearby hook. Run around the curve to find Bart's
first Krusty Koupon for this level. Head back down to where you grappled the
hook, and hop onto the platform below. To the right, Homer's first Duff
bottlecap is behind the boxes. Turn around, and go back to the left down the
path. At the end, press L1 using Bart to target the green button. Shoot it to
extend a bridge across. Take the immediate right to find Bart's second Koupon.

Continue down the normal path for a little bit, and before the curve, look up
and to your left. Your grappling hook icon should have gone off. At any rate,
grapple up to the raised platform to the left. On the edge of the platform
where you landed, destroy the box on the far lower-right corner to find Bart's
third Krusty Koupon. On the lower-left corner, destroy the giant wall of boxes.
Switch back to Homer and (if you're not already at the top) continue around the
curve of the walkway to get to the top of it. Go into Homer Ball form and
launch yourself off of the ramp-curved end of the platform to join Bart on the
platform. Take some helium from the nearby pipes, and float straight up and to
the right a little to find the second bottlecap. Hop back down and take some
more helium. Float across the gap on the left towards the platform below Will
Wright to find Homer's third and final bottlecap.

Switch back to Bart, and approach the platform to which Homer just floated.
Grapple across th join him, and grab Bart's fourth and final Krusty Koupon.
Jump onto the trampoline(s) to hop up to the upper level. Run across the
catwalk to reach another dead end. Grapple across the gap with Bart, and launch
off the end of the platform with Homer Ball to reach the other side. Have both
of the characters stand on the red buttons to open the door. Through here, pull
the lever at the end to end the level.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                             5.1.1 - NeverQuest
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------
      Target Time - 30:00.00
       Characters - Homer/Marge
Video Game Clichés - 2
--------------------------------

Your first objective is apparent after the short cutscene preceding this level.

- Stop the Dragon before she burns down 3 buildings!

The very first part of NeverQuest can be very frustrating. If it takes you
multiple times to complete it, don't be disheartened. It is hard, but not
impossible.

From the beginning, hop down as Marge onto the level below and use her
megaphone to bring Rod, Todd, and Ralph under your control. As your objective
states, in this first part of the level your goal is to stop the dragon before
she destroys three houses. The dragon travels around the level in a clockwise
circle, stopping at all bridges and sitting between the platforms momentarily.
Your goal is to grab various foods around the level to get Homer's calories up,
and when the dragon stops between the two platforms of a "bridge," you must go
into Homer Ball mode and launch yourself into the dragon, damaging her.

Here is the part that can complicate matters. As the dragon flies around the
level in a clockwise circle, she shoots fireballs at various houses around the
area, setting them on fire. Fortunately, Marge can command the mob of Rod,
Todd, and Ralph to put out the fires using her megaphone. Once you understand
these basic idea behind this part of the level, it becomes very easy. Drop down
and take control of the three boys, then switch to Homer. Run to some nearby
houses on the bottom level and grab some food off of the windows (Additionally,
there are some melon patches near the bridges with five or six melons on them).
Catch up with the flying beast, and follow her from bridge to bridge, launching
yourself into her at every stop that she makes. When you fall to the ground,
run back up and continue in a clockwise circle to the next bridge. Whenever the
dragon sets fire to a house, switch to Marge and send the mob to begin
repairing it, then switch back to Homer and stand at the next bridge. With this
simple method, you will clear this part of the level in no time.

Both Homer and Marge have collectibles in this part of the level:

At the Health & Mana bar, Homer's first Duff bottlecap is sitting on one of the
benches outside. And around the outer perimeter of the level, Marge's first
Try-n-Save coupon is sitting near the right half of one of the bridges (after
going around the nearby corner).

After clearing the first part of the level, you go through a door into the next
part and receive the second objective:

- Find a way through the great hall

Turn to the left and enter the great hall. Go down the staircase to reach the
bottom level. Remember that Marge has the mob with her, and you can send it to
attack enemies. On the right side of the room, there is a pile of logs with a
net over it. Send the mob to repair it to turn it into a trampoline. Jump up
with Marge to find her second coupon. On either side of the same platform where
the coupon is are two hams. Jump onto the platform and Homer Ball launch
yourself into them to turn them into several smaller hams that Homer can use to
fill up on calories.

Along the left side of the room to the left of the Moe enemy standing on the
scaffolding, there is a big golden shield hanging from a high ledge. Around the
corner to the right there is a crack in the wall. Either destroy it with Homer
Ball or send Marge's mob to destroy the piece of wall, revealing her third
coupon.

All throughout the room, notice that the monsters resemble Otto the bus driver
(the ghosts) and Moe Syzlack (the elves with crossbows). The pile of bones act
as a respawn point for Otto's ghost, so be sure to destroy the three of them
that you find on the lower level. At the front of the room, in the even lower
level, send the mob to attack the platform on which the Moe enemy stands to
destroy it, bringing him to the ground. (Alternatively, you can go into Homer
Ball mode and launch yourself into them to destroy them). You will find 2 boxes
that are moving around: one in this lower area, and one on the left side of the
back wall. Destroy the boxes and inside you will find more people to add to
your mob.

Go up the grand staircase on the left side to find three more Moe enemies
standing on platforms. Do what you must to kill them all, then take Homer and
go up the set of stairs to the right of the giant door. Stand him on the white
pedestal-looking platform. Switch to Marge, and take the mob to the top of the
set of stairs to the right of the door. Command two members of the mob to stand
on the platform at the top of the stairs, then stand on the platform with them
with Marge. It lowers, while the platform where Homer is standing rises to the
upper-most level of the great hall. Kill the Moe-looking enemy, then take some
helium from the helium tank. Rise straight up towards the ceiling, then make
your way to the right side of this part of the room to find Homer's second
bottlecap and another helium tank. Take some helium from this tank and get back
to the left side of the room. Again, take some helium from the tank on the left
side of the room, and rise straight up in the air, aiming for the blue light
coming from the big orange triangular-shaped object that is connected to the
door. Hit the orange object to unlock the door. Drop back down and head through
the door to get to the third area and to receive your third objective:

- Collect the keys to open the gold doors

This part of the level is pretty sweet, the camera goes into top-down mode,
just like the games from the "Gauntlet" series. Just as in those games, you now
have to find the golden keys to get out of this room. From the beginning, head
up and to the right into the big room. Destroy the machine out of which the Moe
enemies spawn, then defeat them. All throughout the dungeon, open the chests
with Triangle to get foods for Homer. In the big room, grab the giant golden
key and go to the left side of the room. See the piece of wall that looks like
it has barbed wire on top of it? That's actually a damaged wall. Go into Homer
Ball mode. Launch yourself into the wall and Homer Ball smash down on it to
destroy it. On the other side you'll find an Otto ghost, its respawn point, and
Homer's third bottlecap.

Go back into the big room and head to the bottom right side. Just above the
giant door is another box containing another member for the mob. Go through the
giant golden door, and get to the far right wall. Head north until you get to
another damaged wall. Grab the food from the chest and destroy the wall.
Continue on through the other side until you reach the far north-east corner of
the dungeon. In this section of the room, there are two chests. The one on the
bottom has more of Homer's food but the one to the left contains Marge's fourth
coupon.

Head back down the far right wall and take the first left (immediately after
the damaged wall that you destroyed). Go through the golden door. Again, kill
the enemies after you dismantle the respawn point, and grab the third golden
key from the upper-right portion of this room. Continue to follow the path of
the dungeon to find the final golden door in the upper-left corner. Approach it
to go through and to get to your next objective:

- Cross the chasm

In the next room, approach the staircase that leads down to the enemies. Before
going down, turn to your right to see what appears to be a white coffin.
Approach it and press Triangle while facing it to open it. You get some Gummies
for Homer and another video game cliché.

Now, go down the staircase to the bottom. Get rid of the two Ottos and their
respawn points, then destroy the scaffolding and the Moe enemy. Grab another
mob member from the nearby box, then turn towards the chasm. On the left side
is a giant pillar. Command the mob to knock it down, making half of a bridge
across. Take Homer to the right side to find a helium tank. Turn around and
look up along the wall to see Homer's fourth bottlecap. Take some helium and go
up to get the bottlecap. Get some more helium, and float across to the other
side (This can be very difficult, as you have to know the precise point where
you can land so that you will have enough helium to make it to the other side.
Aim to land on the piece of bridge that extends out over the chasm on the other
side). Once you've gotten Homer to the other side, head over across from the
pillar that you knocked down to find another one. Go into Homer Ball mode and
knock the pillar down to make a bridge for Marge and the mob to cross. Once
everyone has crossed, you receive your next objective:

- Open the Dragon Gate and enter the lair

Again, destroy all of the enemies and respawn points. Facing the Dragon Gate,
go to the right side to find another set of logs with a net that the mob can
repair into a trampoline. Jump on it with both Marge and Homer and do some
platform hopping to get on top of the head. Homer's fifth bottlecap is on the
other side of the head. Switch to Marge and approach the right eye of the
dragon. Inside, take the left path to find Marge's fifth coupon, then go back
and take the right path. Carefully cross the bridge after the fire has fallen
and press Triangle to activate the button on the other side, opening the Dragon
Gate. Hop down and run through the newly opened door to satisfy your current
objective and to receive your final one:

- Slay the dragon

At some point in this room, jump into the lava to get one of the video game
clichés for the level. In the very beginning, destroy the two Moe respawn
points, then destroy the ones that remain. Go with the mob to the right side of
the room and attack the shining rock on the right to reveal some gummies for
Homer. Every time you attack the eye, you get gummies. Fill Homer up, then take
the mob up the path on the right side of the room. At the top, use Marge's
megaphone to make one of the mob stand between the two stone pillars. Run back
down to the bottom and head back to the left side of the room. Look across at
the Moe that is standing across the gap (and probably shooting at you). To the
left there is a stone pillar that you can target. Target it while in Gummi
Homer mode and attack it from a distance to destroy it and create a bridge.

Run to the other side and grab Marge's sixth and final coupon to the left.
Attack the shining rock on the left to get some more Gummies for Homer. Jump
across the path of rocks floating in the lava, grabbing Homer's sixth and final
bottlecap along the way, and get onto the piece of rock that shoots into the
air. When it gets to the top, go into Gummi Homer mode, and when the dragon is
between you and the member of the mob standing between the two pillars, spam
the Circle button to shoot Gummi Grenades at the beast. Continue this, and run
back down to the rock if you need some more gummies for Homer. It should not be
long before the beast finally falls and the level ends.

                        5.1.2 - Grand Theft Scratchy
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time - 25:00.00
       Characters - Lisa/Marge
Video Game Clichés - 2
-------------------------------

The level begins in an area that, ironically enough, looks a lot like the first
area in Grant Theft Auto: Sand Andreas. You begin with your first objective:

- Clean up 7 buildings

Step forward and destroy the dog cage on the right to take control of two dogs
for your mob. Go to the green house to your immediate left to find two more
dogs for the mob and to find Lisa's first Malibu Stacy coupon. Command your mob
to go to the house to the right of the green house and repair it. Kill the
enemies that spawn, then command the mob to repair the house to the right of
the green house.

Repair the house to the left of this one, then go into the backyard from the
right side of the house. Climb the large pole with Lisa to find her second
coupon. Leave the backyard, and repair the next building to the left. Continue
to the left, and after the scaffolding there is another doghouse you can break
open to get two more dogs for the mob. Beside the doghouse, send the mob to
destroy the nearby car to get a video game cliché. (All throughout the level,
you want to destroy the pink and red vans, as they serve as respawn points).
Repair the nearby building with the graffiti at the top. Face the orange
building to the right of this building. Walk towards the orange on the left
side. Once you hit the wall, look to the right to find Marge's first Try-N-Save
coupon. Go back to the building you just repaired, and destroy the car on the
left side of the building, and take two more dogs from the nearby doghouse.

Across the street, to the right of the police cars on their sides in the wall
is a cleaner that can be repaired. To the right of the cleaner is a booze shop
that can be cleaned up. Your current objective is satisfied, a Buddha statue is
spawned, and you get your next objective:

- Destroy support wires on suspended highway

Destroy the car to the right of the building that you just repaired. Go to the
back left part of this area to the road that breaks off over the water.
Approach the edge of the road to get the second video game cliché in this
level. Turn around, and have four of your dogs stand in the elevator (enclosed
with orange bars). Have Marge stand in there as well. Switch to Lisa and
activate the newly-spawned Buddha statue. Go to the left and grab the green
generator beside the Happy Times building, and bring it to the elevator,
dropping it in the proper place beside the elevator. Grab the second green
generator near the statue and drop it into the other place to get the elevator
all the way to the top.

Switch back to Marge, and leave the elevator, grabbing Marge's second coupon to
the left. Get everyone back inside of the elevator. Switch back to Lisa and go
again to the Hand of Buddha. Remove one of the generators to drop the elevator
a level. Switch back to Marge and leave the elevator from the opposite side.
Send the mob to the target ahead and destroy it to drop the piece of platform
and to get your next objective:

- Clean up the next 9 structures

Have Lisa lower the elevator for everyone, and walk over the newly created
platform to the next part of town. Repair the building immediately in front of
you. To the far left in the corner is a pink van near some scaffolding. Jump
onto the van to reach the scaffolding, then jump across to the other side to
find Lisa's third coupon. Beside the pink van, have the mob repair the nearby
Free Clinic. Cross the street, and to the left of the knowledge center destroy
the red van. Destroy the other red van that is sitting in the middle of the
road, then repair the nearby Nitro Club.

Go to the right to the far side of this area. Destroy the giant "P*" bulletin
board, then destroy the red van at the very end. Repair the Pop In And Pump Up
building. Head back to the first part and continue down the road to the right
of Happy's. Repair the nearby building called The Mouse Trap. Continue and
destroy the giant Tom Jackson billboard. Destroy the red van at the end where
the path meets the water, and repair the nearby chop shop.

Take control of the nearby Buddha statue, and beside the Shiny Polish Emporium,
remove the car on the left and destroy it. Put Lisa on the spot where the car
was, and press Triangle at the little button on the nearby wall to raise the
platform. Jump onto the nearby building to find Lisa's fourth coupon. Repeat
this process by switching places and get Marge on top of the building. Climb
the nearby ladder and Marge's third coupon is on the upper level. Go with Lisa
behind the Tom Jackson billboard, and traverse the ladders from right to left
to get her fifth coupon.

Back where you destroyed the "P*" bulletin, face the destroyed house. To the
left between it and the Cozy Tea Corner, run beside the fence to the outer edge
of the pavement and turn to the right to find Marge's fourth coupon. Switch to
Lisa and activate the nearby Buddha statue. Grab the piece of the destroyed in
the water and drop it back into its base. Switch to Marge and repair the
building.

Finally, go to the giant nasty brown building. Walk around to the back to find
a trampoline trash can to take you to the top. Send Maggie in through the small
opening. Inside, get down to the lower level. In the same room, grab Marge's
fifth and final coupon between the desk on the right (facing back towards the
point from which you entered). Go into the next room, and press Triangle in
front of the green/red meter to repair the building and to receive your next
objective:

- Build a bridge to connect the islands

Jump off of the building, and near the newly-spawned Buddha statue, drop off
onto the sand from the left side of the Krusty tape. Grab Lisa's sixth coupon
to the left. Hop across the nearby rocks with Lisa to reach her seventh coupon.
Go back up to the Buddha statue. Pick up the "P*" billboard that you destroyed
earlier. Drop it in the place where the bridge should be and it will float into
place. Head to the right (facing out towards the ocean) and there will be an
actual section of bridge raised in the air that you can pick up. Bring it back
and drop it between the billboard and the other island to make the Second half
of the bridge. Switch to Marge, and command the mob to repair the piece of
bridge on the side you are on to complete your current objective and to receive
your next one:

- Clean up the store and the two trucks

Cross the bridge. On the other side, destroy the two red vans first, then kill
the two enemies. Facing back towards the other island, there is a pipe jutting
from the sand on the left side. Lisa's eighth and final coupon is on the end of
it. Switch to Marge and command the mob to repair the store on the right, and
the two trucks in front of you. A Buddha statue spawns and you get your next
objective:

- Protect the ice cream trucks

Activate the Hand of Buddha. You get to play a Missile Command-style mini-game
here. Enemies come down the pavement from the top and crash into the two pink
ice cream trucks. To stop them, use the Hand to pick up the barrels on the left
and the right and drop them on the enemies. After three quick waves, the
mini-game is complete and you get your next objective:

- Destroy Poochie's stage

Your final objective is very simple. Walk through the newly opened gates to the
giant stage at the back of the area. Command the mob to destroy it, ending the
level.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                           5.1.3 - Medal of Homer
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time -
       Characters - Bart/Homer
Video Game Clichés - 2
-------------------------------

After another humorous cutscene, you begin the level with your first objective:

- Rendezvous with Grandpa Simpsons and Private Burns

From the beginning, destroy the nearby crate to receive a video game cliché.
Jump down onto the platform below and approach the boy standing at the corner
to satisfy that objective and to get your next one:

- Collect all of the surrender flags (20)

This part of the level is simply collection. To access the map of the
surrenders flags left in the level, press Select to go to your "Things To Do"
list, then press Square. I will try to make this list of flags as easy to
follow as possible, including any possible collectibles within the list.

#1 - After the cutscene, look to your immediate left to find the first flag.

#2 - Facing away from the location where you found the first flag, turn to the
left and look up and you will see the second flag hanging from a nearby
balcony. Do a little platform-hopping to retrieve it.

#3 - Off of the right side of the balcony (when facing the building) look down
to find the third flag hanging from a door beside a barrel of bread.
Destroy the barrel and the bread goes all over the ground. Pick it up with
Homer to get some calories for him.

#4 - Face away from the building from which you just took the third flag. Turn
to the left to find three outward platforms that lead up to the fourth
flag on a nearby building. Face the building from which you just took the
fourth flag, and walk along the platform to the left, facing the brown
building where you found the bread basket. Look in the middle to find
three brown barrels. Shoot them with the slingshot to uncover Bart's first
Krusty Koupon. Grapple up to the top of the same building, and glide down
    to reach the collectible.

#5 - Jump down and under the bridge in front of the building where you found
the third flag. Go into Homer Ball mode and destroy the debris under the
bridge. Grab the fifth flag hanging under the bridge on the right.

#6 - Again, go back to the building where you got the third flag. Face away
from the building to see the sixth flag hanging from a balcony. Beyond the
balcony is a spot on another building where Bart can grapple. Get in range
and grapple onto the building. Jump onto the roof of this building, and on
the right side stand on the chimney where the smoke is coming out. Without
riding the air current, jump down onto the brown roof, and jump into the
balcony on the right to get the sixth flag.

#7 - Hop back onto the brown roof from which you just jumped, and look down
over the right side to find the seventh flag and the first of Homer's
bottlecaps. To get home to the bottlecap, jump with Bart back onto the
building that had the grappling spot, but stay on the right side. Off of
the right edge of the roof is an awning that you can use as a trampoline,
and there should be another awning on your level. Switch to Homer, and to
the lower awning. Because you can't reach it from the ground, jump onto
the nearby ledge and get a little higher, then jump onto the lower awning
to hop to the upper awning and to the very top of the building. Hop down
onto the lower level of the building. Get a running start and jump to the
wide balcony to get Homer's first Duff bottlecap.

#8 - Switch back to Bart, and use the awnings that Homer just used to get to
the top point of the building. Look straight down to find the eighth flag
    in a nearby balcony.

#9 - Get back to the top of the building from which you just jumped. Run
straight along the spine of the roof to the chimney at the far side (not
the chimney you jumped over to get to flag #6). Ride the current to the
high balcony across the road for the ninth flag.

#10 - With Homer, go back to the area where you found his first collectible.
Facing up towards the balcony, head to the left to find another bridge.
In Homer Ball mode, launch into the debris to destroy it, and grab the
tenth flag from under the bridge on the left side.

#11 - With Bart, use the two awnings again to get to the top of the high
building. Facing the far off chimney, turn right and look down. Glide
onto the nearby building. After landing, look to the right to find Bart's
second Krusty Koupon. Look off to the left side of the building at the
cracked bridge. Switch to Homer and approach the bridge from the
underside. Destroy the debris under it to find the eleventh flag on the
     left side.

#12 - Switch back to Bart, and continue over the cracked bridge, turning to the
right. Straight ahead, look to the next building over with the chimney
and the awning underneath it. Jump off of the balcony on which you are
standing onto the awning to hop on the roof. Ride the smoke current to
the left and onto the high balcony to get the twelfth flag.

#13 - Go back to the spot where you found Bart's second Krusty Koupon. Go
around to the left to find a zipline. Go across it to land on the balcony
on the other side and to get the thirteenth flag.

#14 - Hop down from the balcony and approach the nearby fountain. Switch to
Homer and look to the left to find a piece of wood with a shining spot.
Go into Homer Ball mode and with a good rolling start, launch yourself
onto the ramp to destroy part of the building on the other side,
revealing a Krusty Koupon. Switch to Bart, and face away from the
fountain to the part of the building you just destroy. Turn to the right
to find an awning on the side of the building. Jump onto it to get to the
upper level, and to the left jump from the barrel or the fence to the top
of the building to get the fourteenth flag. Right beside it, grab the
third Krusty Koupon which Homer revealed.

#15 - Jump back onto the upper-level platform (the same one on which the
building with the second Koupon stands). Off of the back side of the
platform (the east side of it, according to the "Collect the Flags" map)
the fifteenth flag is hanging from the wall. Grab it.

#16 - Off of the same platform, the sixteenth flag is hanging off of the south
side of the wall. Look into the water to the left and jump onto the
nearby cow on its side. You will hop across the cow-path and onto the
elevated platform. Bart's fourth Krusty Koupon is in plain view in the
     center of the platform.

#17 - Switch to Homer, and get back to the area with the fountain. Off of the
edge facing the east side of the map is another ramp. Launch through it
in Homer Ball mode to land on the building on its own is and to the far
east. You should by yet another ramp. Launch through it to reach the far
side and Homer's second bottlecap. Switch to Bart and go to the second
ramp that Homer used. Grapple across to reach the island. Stand on the
third ramp Homer used and grapple across to join him. Run around to the
back of the building, and look for the ivy on the far right side. Just to
the left of it around a small corner, three barrels are sitting in front
of a door. Destroy the barrels, and press Triangle while facing the door
to go into the building. Inside, get in front of the giant orange slab of
door and press Triangle to open it to reveal Homer's third bottlecap and
Bart's fifth Koupon. Leave this little room and find the other door on
the inside. Press Triangle to open it and go through it. Upon exiting,
the seventeenth flag is hanging from the building right below you.

#18 - Get Homer and Bart again to the back of the building where you entered
it. Go to the back right corner where the ivy is. Climb the three sets of
ivy to reach the top. Run out across the spine of the roof of the
building and grab the eighteenth flag at the very end. Look down and to
the left to find Bart's sixth Krusty Koupon.

#19 - Bart Glide back to the main island, and head all the way back to the
fountain. Switch back to Homer and get him there, too. If he is still on
the island, you can jump into the water and take a death to be
automatically put back onto the main island. From the fountain, facing
the north side of the map with Homer, look to the left to find some
stairs that lead to a helium tank. Get some helium and float straight up
to find the nineteenth final flag in another high balcony.

#20 - Back by the helium tank, look to the right to find some more debris lying
under a bridge. Homer Ball launch into it to destroy it and to find the
twentieth and final surrender flag. Before taking the flag sitting on the
right, head through the arch and jump on the nearby awning trampoline to
reach a high up balcony with Homer's fourth bottlecap. Run back under the
bridge and grab the flag. This satisfies your current objective, and
sends you to the next area with a new objective:

- Reach Private Burns

Walk to the right across the catwalk. Position Homer on the boat. Switch to
Bart, and grapple across the gap. While Bart is going towards the grappling
hook, hold down R1 so that when he reaches the top, you float down to the
platform on the other side. Make sure that Homer is still standing on the boat,
and pull the lever with Bart to bring the boat around, joining Homer with Bart.
Face the nearby door with Homer and press Triangle to plant some C4, destroying
it. During the 5 second countdown of the C4, be sure to get as far away from it
as you can to avoid the blast. If you get caught in the blast, you die, and you
have to start this part of the level over.

Walk through to the other side, and switch to Bart. Use your slingshot to shoot
the four targets on the sides of the boats, releasing them into the ocean and
revealing two potential climbing poles. Climb across the poles with both Homer
and Bart and jump onto the red circle to hop to the other side. Plant the C4,
and run to the right to avoid the blast. The explosion creates an air current
that Bart can use to get to the upper level. Pull the lever you land beside to
drop the ladder so that Homer can join you. Shoot one of the far off red
barrels to get the other video game cliché in this level.

Plant some more C4 on the spot to the left to reveal another air current for
Bart. Ride it straight up to grab his seventh Krusty Koupon. Facing away from
the lever you just pulled to drop the ladder, run towards the right side of the
boat. Look to the left to find Homer's fifth Duff bottlecap on top of some
boxes.

Run around to the other side of the ship to the helicopter that was downed
during the cutscene. From it's left wing, jump up onto the next level. Put some
C4 at the nearby spot to reveal another air current Bart can ride. Ride it up
and towards the direction of the other side of the ship. Press Triangle while
facing the orange thing with the light to drop it down to Homer's level. He
uses it as a trampoline to join you. Go back down to the air current and ride
it again to the highest level you can reach. Run around the path and when the
orange runs out, look down and jump onto some more orange. Press Triangle at
the second orange thing to drop it down as well. If need by, switch to Homer
and catch him up with Bart.

Put some C4 on the nearby door to destroy it. Pass through the newly opened
hole, and put some C4 on the pipe near the ladder to destroy it. Before riding
the air current, drop off of the ledge on the right with Bart to land on the
lower level. Run to the left and around the corner to find Bart's eigth
Koupon. Run back to the right and jump on the trampoline to get back to the
upper level. Ride the air current up and onto the rope on the side of the ship.
Jump onto the platform to the left and pull the nearby lever to drop another
ladder that Homer can climb. Here, walk around to the opposite side and place
some C4 on the spot to create another air current that Bart can use. Glide
straight up and into the catwalk, killing the lone enemy here. Switch to Homer
and use the nearby helium tank to join Bart. Run across and drop down on the
other side. Go to the door on the left side and place some more C4. Use that
air current to get to the upper level with Bart. Use the nearby helium tank to
float straight up, and grab Homer's sixth bottlecap near the satellite. Drop
down and use the helium again to join Bart at the top.

Jump up onto the elevated platform. Ride the air on the right with Bart to
reach the platform with a lever. Pull it and shoot the three red barrels to
uncover a bottlecap. Use the air to ride across to the raised platform on the
other side. Grab Bart's ninth and final Krusy Koupon nearby. Switch to Homer,
and use the helium tank to reach the platform on the right to get Homer's
seventh and final bottlecap. Drop back down and use the helium again to join
Bart. Use the second helium tank to float across the gap and to reach Burns,
ending the level.

5.1.4 - Big Super Happy Fun Fun Game
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time - 15:00.00
       Characters - Homer/Lisa
Video Game Clichés - 2
-------------------------------

After the cutscene, you receive your first objective:

- Reach the village

Head straight up the path with Homer, eating all of the sushi pieces you find
along the way. Jump across the three platforms to get to the other side of the
river. Climb the pole on the right to find Lisa's first Malibu Stacy coupon.
Approach the village to complete your objective and to receive another one:

- Find and place three lanterns to free Mr. Sparkle

Kill the newly-spawned enemies (the sumo wrestlers) as they cross your path (a
quick and easy way to kill them is to take control of the Buddha statue near
Lisa's first coupon and use the lightning attack). At any rate, head to the
left of the Buddha statue to find Homer's first Duff bottlecap on top of the
hill. Go into Homer Ball mode and launch yourself into the hill to get to it.
Come back down and switch to Lisa. Take control of the Hand of Buddha, and pick
up the lantern in front of you (it is very similar to the green power
generators throughout the game). Place it upon the pedestal at the edge of the
water to activate the first lantern and to spawn the second Buddha statue.

Run around the circular path in a clockwise manner and take control of the
second Buddha statue on top of the little hill. Go over the houses to the right
and lift up the third one to reveal another coupon. Go back and pick up the
first house immediately to the right of the Buddha statue to reveal the second
lantern. Pick it up and place it in the pedestal at the water's edge. Continue
clockwise around the circular path, grabbing Lisa's second coupon that you
uncovered, and run up the wooden path and take control of the third Buddha
statue. Destroy the house just above Lisa to uncover her third coupon. Destroy
the second house to the left of it to uncover the third lantern. Before you do
anything, let go of the Hand of Buddha and grab Lisa's third coupon that you
just uncovered, and look off of the edge to the right of the Buddha statue to
find Homer's second bottlecap. Do what you must to reach it, then switch back
to Lisa. Take control of the Hand of Buddha, then drop the third lantern onto
the appropriate pedestal.

After the cutscene, you get your first video game cliché for this level, as
well as your new objective:

- Find the Well of Fire

Take control of Lisa, and look to the right to see a rising and falling
platform. Time a jump to land on it, then jump up to the top level to find
Lisa's third coupon to the left. Switch back to Homer and head to the left side
of the room. Behind the two large pillars is his third bottlecap. Take it, then
Homer Ball launch into the two platforms to shorten then. Jump across their
tops to reach the second level. To the right, grab the gummies. Look across to
the left at the tree. Go into Gummi Homer form and shoot the tree a few times
to split it into two pieces. Take note of the little elevated platform near
where the gummies stood.

Switch back to Lisa, and join Homer on the second level. Straight ahead there
is another rising and falling platform. Jump onto it then onto the platform
with the Buddha statue. Jump onto the moving platform behind it and onto the
upper platform. Jump on top of the sushi machine and onto the highest platform
to find her fourth coupon to the left. Hop back down to the Buddha statue, and
take control of it. Go over to the two pieces of tree, and lay them across the
nearby elevated platform to the right across the lava to make a bridge across
it all. Cross the lava to get your next, easy objective:

- Capture Jimbo's Sparklemon

Follow Jimbo into the Well of Fire. After completing your objective during the
cutscene, you reach the next area and your next objective:

- Find the Well of Ice

Get Homer and Lisa up the steps to the left by the Buddha statue. Take control
of Homer, and Homer Ball launch off of the nearby ramp and into the stalactite
hanging from the ceiling to knock it to the ground. Get back up to the Buddha
statue, and launch again off of the ramp towards the left to land on the far
platform with Homer's fourth bottlecap. Switch to Lisa and take the piece of
stalactite with the Hand of Buddha to the upper left part of the room and drop
it into one of the holes. Switch to Homer and jump back down to the ground.
Homer Ball launch into the giant ice column in the middle of the room to break
it apart. Switch to Lisa and take control of the Hand of Buddha. Take the
broken column of ice to the upper left corner of the room and drop it into the
other hole.

Take one of your characters to the chunks of ice and use them as platforms to
reach the upper level. Follow Ralph into the Well of Ice to receive the
following objectives:

- Capture Ralph's Sparklemon
- Board the airship (probably my favorite reference in this entire game)

After these two objectives are satisfied during the cutscene, you find
yourselves on the airship. You get the second video game cliché for the level
and your next objective:

- Prevent Sky Sumos from shutting down the airship

(To get all of the collectibles on this part of the level, you will probably
fail the upcoming challenge quite a few times, but that's okay, as you restart
right at the beginning of the airship again). From the start, look immediately
to the right. Homer Ball launch into the ramp to reach Homer's fifth bottlecap.
Next, go to the far left side of the ship (left from the direction you were
facing when you started this part) to find Homer's sixth and final Duff
bottlecap at the very end. Switch to Lisa and head to the opposite end of the
airship. Look over the edge to find a platform below. Jump down to it without
landing on the trampoline to reach it and to find Lisa's sixth and final Malibu
Stacy coupon.

Now that the collectibles are out of the way, let's work on actually completing
the level. Sky Sumos appear around the four corners of the airship. They pull
the levers at these corners as well as the lever in the middle of the area to
shut down the engines. Your job is to go behind them and pull the levers again,
restarting the engines. In the mean time, you have to kill the Sumos.
Ultimately, you have to balance your attention between killing the Sumos and
reactivating the engines. This mini-game can be a little difficult. However,
remember that knocking enemies into the void kills them automatically: if you
can knock the Sumos off of the airship, you can get rid of them much quicker.
For some extra punch, there are some gummies beside the trampoline where you
found Lisa's last Malibu Stacy coupon.

After 3 waves, you receive your final objective:

- Capture Sherri and Terri's Sparklemon

Simply head into the well that has appeared on the airship to view a cutscene
that satisfies this objective. After the cutscene, the level ends.

5.1.5 - Five Characters in Search of an Author
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time - 20:00.00
       Characters - Bart/Homer
Video Game Clichés - 2
-------------------------------

After a nice cutscene featuring the creator of The Simpsons, you begin the
level with your first objective:

- Find the mansion's front door

From the beginning, switch to Bart and climb the vines to the left side of the
area. Jump across to the platform jutting from the wall to find his first
Krusty Koupon. Switch to Homer and jump on the trampolines on the right side of
the level to find three gummies on top of some pillars. Jump down and go into
Gummi Homer mode. Destroy the car on the right to find Homer's first Duff
bottlecap. Afterwards, kill all of the lawyers to open up the staircase at the
far side of the level. Approach it, but before going up the steps, go through
the door on the right. Jump on the trampoline to reach the fishing line.
Traverse the fishing lines, jumping onto the left one at the end of the right
one to reach the opposite side. Pull the lever to open a nearby door. Switch to
Homer and go through the newly opened door and grab his second bottlecap.

Run back to thw newly-uncovered stairs, and grab Bart's second Koupon from in
front of the face of the barfing Barney statue. Head into the next area to the
left. After killing the lawyers down the hill, jump on the trampoline with Bart
to reach the high pillar. Shoot the Police Chief Clancy Wiggum floats to
release gummies and foods for Homer and ammunition for Bart. Atop the pillar,
glide across to the left and pull the lever on the far pillar to open the gate
to the right of the Barney statue and to spawn three more lawyers. After taking
care of the lawyers, head through the newly-opened gate.

With Bart, grapple across the water to the other side, and pull the nearby
lever to send electricity through the water, killing the two sharks. Switch to
Homer and use the floating bodies of the sharks as platforms to get to the
other side. Go into Homer Ball mode and smash the nearby pole to create another
bridge back across the water. Cross it, and kill the three lawyers that come
out of the door. Make another bridge with another nearby pole, and again cross
the water. Approach the door to receive your next objective:

- Ring the 'front door bell'

Here is another mini-game. There are 8 panels on the ground that play musical
notes when you step on them. You have to repeat the melody that you see to
reproduce the theme song to The Simpsons. Assuming that the panels positioned
as an upside-down V are numbered 1-8, the two melodies are:

- 4, 5, 6, 8, 7
- 5, 4, 3, 1, 1, 1, 2

Completing this mini-game opens the door. Enter the mansion to receive your
next objective:

- Find Matt Groening's office

In the first room of the mansion, kill all of the lawyers in to open the door
at the top of the two sets of stairs. Face the open door and look to the left.
On the wall past the balcony are some vines that Bart can climb. Climb them,
then jump to the ledge on the left. Jump to the next vines and down onto the
walkway. Run along then use these vines to get to another platform. Jump onto
the pipe to get Bart's third coupon. Go back down and through the newly opened
door, grabbing the food and the gummies, and continue along the path. You
arrive at a room where three lawyers are killed my spikes protruding from
either wall. Wait until the pencil spikes are all together in the middle. As
they are coming apart, run through the center. Jump onto a set of two pencils
coming from the wall to get to the top one. As the walls of spikes come
together, jump and land on top of all of the pencils. Quickly run to the other
side and step on the blue panel to stop the spikes and open the large door.

Take control of Homer. Enter the next room and head up the steps on the left.
Homer Ball launch into the pillar to create a bridge to the next platform. From
here, shimmy across the purple structure to get to the third platform with
Homer's third bottlecap. In the middle of the room there is a mirror reflecting
the light from the eyes of the giant painting of Matt Groening. Step on the
button in front of the mirror to twist it, bending the light to the back of the
room.

Approach the pencils and bookshelves in the back of the room to get a video
game cliché. Time your jumps to traverse the bookshelves. At the highest one on
the right, jump and glide off of it to the high platform. Run around the corner
and dispose of the two lawyers that come from the door. Step on the button in
front of the second mirror.

Return to the front of the room, and head up the right stairs. Homer Ball
launch into the nearby pillar to knock it down, creating a path to the top.
Pull the nearby lever to activate the platform beside you (so if you fall off,
you can get right back up there). Traverse the second timed puzzle to the left
past the hammers, and pull the lever on the far side to activate yet another
platform. Go up the nearby stairs to the third mirror. Step on the button to
turn it, again bending the light. Facing out to the rest of the room, drop down
to platforms on the right to find Homer's fourth bottlecap. Get back up to the
third mirror, and again facing out to the rest of the room, jump onto the first
swinging chandelier with Bart. When it swings to the left, jump onto the nearby
ledge. Climb across the vines to the fourth mirror. Step onto the button to
turn the mirror.

Switch to Homer and jump on the same swinging chandelier. Jump onto the ledge
on the right side of the room. Take in some helium and float back towards the
front of the room to reach a third platform with the fourth mirror. Step on the
button to turn it and bend the light. Face off of the ledge and jump onto the
chandelier as it gets near you. Use it to get to the ledge on the other side.
Switch back to Bart and use the first chandelier again to get to the ledge
where Homer used the tank of Helium. Double-jump and float to the second ledge.
Now, this part can be tricky. You are currently on the second ledge. You have
to jump from the second ledge and float to the chandelier that comes to the
third ledge. Use this third chandelier to join Homer.

Under the fifth and final mirror, look out at the rest of the room. Off of the
edge of the ledge, look down and to the right to see Bart's fourth Koupon on
the corner of a platform. Glide down to retrieve it. Switch back to Homer and
go through the newly-opened door under the fifth mirror. Upon arriving in the
final room, you get the second video game cliché for the level as well as your
final objective:

- Defeat Matt Groening

From the beginning, take Homer around the left side of the left staircase to
find his fifth and final bottlecap. Head up on of the staircases and jump onto
the balcony on the right. In the far back corner is Bart's fifth and final
Krusty Koupon.

This is an easy battle. Destroy the waves of robots with chef hats (Benders)
and aliens (Doctor Zoidbergs) that Matt Groening draws. After you defeat each
wave, Groening runs to a different part of the room. When he is finally up on
top directly above Homer and Bart, go into Homer Ball mode and launch into the
stack of hay as if it was a ramp to go up and knock Groening from the platform,
ending the level.

                              5.1.6 - Game Over
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------
      Target Time - 15:00.00
       Characters - Bart/Homer
Video Game Clichés - 1
-------------------------------

After the cutscene, you begin the final level of the game with a humorous
objective:

- Defeat William Shakespeare

Simply step forward with Bart, target Shakespeare with L1, and shoot away at
him. Homer will automatically come up behind you and wail away on him. You
should be able to take him down without getting hit, satisfying the objective.
Walk around wth Homer and pick up some of the food items laying around to build
up his calories. Walk through the newly-opened gate to receive your next
objective:

- Cross the clouds

Now, you take control of Bart and Lisa. Head straight up the path and into the
arcade, the first building on the right side. Search around the arcade machines
to find Lisa's first Malibu Stacy Coupon. Switch to Bart and head back outside
of the arcade. Grapple up to the cloud floating above the roof and head around
to the front of the left side to find Bart's first Krusty Koupon. Switch to
Lisa and go back across the golden road through the large house directly on the
other side of the road. In the area behind it there are three smaller houses.
Behind the house on the far left is Lisa's second coupon. Kill some of the
different types of enemies in this part of the level to get the video game
cliché for the level. Switch to Bart and head to the third house on this far
left side (the house on the far right of the left side of this area). Jump on
it from the back to find Bart's second Koupon.

Off of the opposite side of the third building, walk down the steps and to the
floating clouds. Look to the right to find Lisa's third coupon sitting to the
right of the golden gates. Go back to the clouds, and jump onto the first one,
then time a jump onto the second one. Grapple up to the third cloud, then jump
on the trampoline to hop up to the golf hole. Facing the hold, look to the
right and back down to the ground to see a blue light and a shining spot on a
lever. Glide down here to get your next objective:

- Open the side gates

Simply pull the nearby lever to open the four golden gates around the clouds
and to get your next objective:

- Find a way through the steam baths

Facing up the large set of stairs, run to the right through the opened golden
gate and up the first set of stairs on the left to find three more small
buildings in a row. Jump on the back of the one on the far left with Bart and
get to the very top to find his third Krusty Koupon. Get in front of the house
just to the right of this house and use the trampoline to get to the top.
Activate the Buddha statue, and take the three golf holes to the left and drop
them into the "O" shaped clouds (if you accidentally drop some holes in the
abyss, don't worry, they immediately respawn where they originally were).

Go back down the stairs and onto the yellow platform. Use the sets of golf
holes and trampolines to reach the Buddha statue in the middle of the area.
Collect Bart's fourth Koupon and Lisa's fourth coupon sitting right beside the
statue in plain view. Take control of the Hand of Buddha and pick up one of the
golf holes and drop it into the lone "O"-shaped cloud. Jump towards the golf
hole you just dropped and onto the trampoline to reach a final moving cloud.
Jump to the yellow ledge and head clockwise around the circle and back to the
lever that you pulled to the four golden gates.

Go up the giant steps, but head to the left at the blue tent. Run to the right
side of the building to the left to find a trampoline to reach the top. Run
along the right side of the roof to find Lisa's fourth coupon and inside the
steeple to find Bart's fifth Koupon. Go back to the blue tent, and grapple onto
the cloud above it to use it as a trampoline to reach the other side. Pull the
lever to open the gate for Lisa. Run in and activate the Buddha statue in the
middle. Pick up the rock on the right side and drop it into the square-shaped
section of water to create steam. Bart can ride the steam. Do so and go up and
to the right. Run back across the length of the building to find Bart's sixth
and final Krusty Koupon in the steeple on the side of the building that faces
back towards the clouds.

Facing back towards the steam bath, jump off of the right side of the house.
Climb the vines on the back of the house and jump to the right to the golden
gate. Pull the nearby lever to open it for Lisa. Jump back down to get your
next objective:

- Build a coffee shop

Switch to Lisa and look behind the Skybucks sign on the right to find her sixth
and final Malibu Stacy coupon. Take control of the nearby Hand of Buddha, and
using the nearby constructed Skybucks coffee shop, pick up the pieces on the
ground and create a new one. Don't let go of the Hand of Buddha. After the
cutscene, you receive a new objective:

- Defeat Benjamin Franklin

Stay with the Hand of Buddha, and repeatedly use the lightning attack on
Benjamin Franklin. You should be able to take him down without taking a bit of
damage. Once he's down, the giant gates open and you get your next
objective:

- Enter God's apartment

Walk through the newly-opened gate to satisfy this objective and to receive
your next one:

- Win a Dance Dance Revelation dance-off with God.

You have another pretty straightforward mini-game that you must complete. If
you have ever played any game like Dance Rance Revolution or Guitar Hero, you
should have no problem with this. The enemies are walking down a path of four
buttons on the D-Pad. As they arrive in the green bar, press the button on your
controller that corresponds with the button path on which they are walking to
kill them with lightning. Every enemy that gets passed you damages you. After
four increasingly difficult rounds, your final objective is completed.
Congratulations on completing the final level. Now, sit back and watch the
hilarious conclusion to The Simpsons Game.

8.0.0 - "The Simpsons Game" Review
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

------------
Introduction
------------

When I heard that EA was producing a new game for The Simpsons, I became very
excited. I played most of The Simpsons games from the NES-generation, but to be
quite honest, I have not really played many of the newer games. As a matter of
fact, the only one I have even had a chance to touch is "The Simpsons: Hit &
Run," which I found to be an excellent game. Thusly, I had very high hopes for
this game. Although it does not quite meet the standards of quality that "Hit &
Run" possess, "The Simpsons Game" on its own is a nice platformer.

------------
Story - 8/10
------------

After having a copy of a very violent new video game taken from him by his
mother, Bart Simpsons is walking through an alley when a game manual for "The
Simpsons Game" falls from the sky. Bart opens it up to find that he and the
rest of his family possess special powers: Homer can eat food to gain calories,
allowing him to morph into a large Homer Ball; Bart can turn into Bartman,
using his cape to glide; Lisa, being a Buddhist, can call upon the powers of
the Hand of Buddha to pick up large objects and to move them at her will; Marge
can use her megaphone to bring the people of Springfield under her control.
Essentially, hilarity ensues as the Simpson family uses these unique powers to
make a difference in Springfield by preventing the robbery of the Springfield
Museum, destroying a deforestation project, and eventually halting an alien
attack upon Springfield. All of this leads up to a final boss fight of such
epic proportions that you will surely be rolling on the floor laughing.

---------------
Gameplay - 6/10
---------------

You are able to control four of the five Simpson family members - Homer, Bart,
Lisa, and Marge (although at some points you are able to briefly take control
of Maggie) - each possesing the aforementioned special abilities.
Level-to-level gameplay is just what you would expect from a typical
platformer. Each of the four main characters that you can control fights
enemies, platform hops, and collects powerups. Only occasionally does the game
deviate from this punch-jump-collect formula. Although this simplicity is nice,
it does soon get a little stale, especially when you continually replay the
same levels to find hidden collectibles.

On top of that, this game does not feature the best controls or camera angles
in the games. Sometimes the controls feel a little awkward, but once you get
accustomed to them you should not have too much trouble. The camera is the true
killer here, and I mean that literally. Whenever you are surrounded or cornered
by many enemies, the camera has trouble finding a good angle for you to use.
Even without enemies, the camera often adds an unnecessary layer of difficulty
to the game. In moments when you are trying to make a hard jump that should
take two or three attempts, the camera will make it six or seven tries. Even
after you get used to it, expect to die a few times as a result of a bad
camera.

Fortunately, none of the above kills this game. Although the gameplay itself
may be subpar, most of your enjoyment will come from the humor in the game. EA
hired all of the voice actors that you recognize from the show and brought them
in to record the voices for the Simpson family, as well as many other people
from Springfield. Very early on, even before the best parodies later in the
game, you realize that "The Simpsons Game" does nothing but make fun of games
in general. I won't include any names or descriptions of the parodies, but I
assure you that you will laugh out loud more than once.

---------------------
Graphics/Sound - 8/10
---------------------

As far as graphics are concerned, they are neither good or bad. They are
certainly not on the same level as most modern games, but they are more than
appropriate (especially considering this rendition of the game is for the PS2).
I'm not sure about you, but I truly believe that graphics do not make a game.
Sure, good graphics are definitely a bonus and add appeal to the game (Final
Fantasy X comes to mind), but only rarely do bad graphics actually hurt a game
in my book (although it has happened). Springfield and it's inhabitants are
faithfully rendered, although not without minor flaws.

Sound is a different story. As I said before, EA brought in the people from the
television show to do the voice acting for the characters in the game. As a
result, the games not only feels like a Simpsons game, but it feels like an
episode from the show. Beyond that, there is nothing more to say about the
sound. It is executed flawlessly and is probably one of the higher points of
the game.

It is hard to say whether or not cinematics should be included because they do
not contain actual gameplay graphics. However, I feel that I must make an
exception here. The cutscenes in this game are on the same level of the
television show, and I have to say they are hilarious. Playing through the game
in one sitting would be like watching an episode of "The Simpsons" that lasted
for a few hours. The combination of artwork from the show and the dialogue from
the actual voice actors makes for very entertaining cinematics.

Although they go together in my opinion, if I chose to split "Graphics" and
"Sound" into two categories, the scores would be 6/10 and 10/10, respectively.

------------------------------
Play Time/Replayability - 6/10
------------------------------

One of the biggest complaints I have about the game is its length. You can
expect to complete your first playthrough in a matter of seven or eight hours.
There are several reasons to replay the levels. Each family member has several
collectibles in each of the levels in which he or she is featured.
Additionally, there are things known as "video game clichés" throughout the
levels that can be collected. These particular collectibles are
self-explanatory. "The Simpsons Game," as I said before, is nothing but a giant
parody of other games. The developers took clichés from video games and stuffed
them all into this satire. For example, seconds into the first level of the
game, as you are learning the controls, you are told to press "X" twice to
double jump. Upon doing so, the game freezes and you get a message saying that
you have unlocked the first video game cliché, the double jump, along with a
hilarious description. There are about thirty of these to find throughout the
game, each one of them just as funny.

Aside from the collectibles and clichés, each level has a "Target Time" where
you can try and beat the level as quickly as you can. These range from two
minutes to about half-an-hour. Also, each level challenges you to complete it
without dying.

Although I just rambled on and on about replayability in this game, now I must
explain the low scoring. Sure, there are many extra things to do in this game,
and although they are great for a perfectionist such as myself, the average
gamer will probably have no interest in them, namely because there is no reward
for completing all of the challenges or for finding all of the collectibles and
clichés. The only reward that you get is the satisfaction of knowing that you
did it. Granted, this satisfaction is really all that I personally need, it
will probably dishearten many gamers.

--------------
Final Thoughts
--------------

The Simpsons Game is not a groundbreaking platformer and it is definitely not
going to be what most gamers consider "Game Of The Year material." However,
what it lacks in aesthetics and gameplay, it definetely satisfies with humor.
Fans of the television show have no excuse not to get this game. For anyone
looking for a few laughs, either grab a rental or wait until the price drops to
pick this up. Personally, I had this game pre-ordered two weeks in advance for
my Homer Ball, and I got it on release. This game is not perfect, but it is
definetely funny. Thusly, I think that my score of 7 is more than fair.

11.0.0 - How To Contact Me
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

If you have any reason you need to talk to me for anything (relating to this
guide for The Simpsons Game), email me at:

awutow15_gamefaqs[at]hotmail[dot]com.

Below is information on what I will and will not read. Be sure to keep in mind
that if you send me anything that is under the "Do *Not* Send Me" list, more
than likely you will be blocked, and your message might appear on the GameFAQs
message boards. Read below for more information.

|-DO SEND ME-|

Questions: I openly accept questions under a few conditions: Be sure to look
through the FAQ to make sure that your question hasn't already been answered.
If it hasn't been answered, be sure that when you email me, to include the
subject of the question along with Simpsons, or "The Simpsons Game" in the
subject heading, or it will probably be deleted. It might also help a lot if
you include a little bit of the question in the subject.

Commendment and Criticism: Obviously, if you think I did a good job with this
FAQ, I'd love to hear from you. I've actually commented on some people's FAQs
before as well. Also, if there is anything you don't like about the FAQ, please
be sure to email me your suggestions as well, and don't forget to include
something in the subject or you will probably get deleted. If you send me
suggestions on something to change about my FAQ, I can't promise anything will
happen - in fact, more than likely nothing will happen. But it can't hurt to
try, right?

Contributions: It would really be appreciated if you could e-mail me any
contributions you have. Like I said before, pretty much anything even remotely
relating to "The Simpsons Game" is needed to make this guide as complete as I
want it to be.

|-DO *NOT* SEND ME-|

Chain Mail, Spam, or Flames, under ANY circumstances. I only accept these
things (chain mail) from a few of my very very close friends, and ONLY my
closest friends, but otherwise, send me anything like this, and you *WILL*
promptly be blocked, no questions asked. Send me flames, and you will probably
find a "G" rated version of your message[s] on the GameFAQs message boards.
I refuse to tolerate anything like this, and I don't think there is much more
to be said about it.

Anything with terrible grammar, but most of all, don't send me flames with
terrible grammar, because they will IMMEDIATELY be posted on GameFAQs. You know
what? Just don't send any flames at all, and we can all be happy.

As for grammar, please don't send me e-mail relating to spelling or grammatical
errors in the guide. I am constantly scoping this entire guide in the hopes of
making any corrections I can, and it would be deeply appreciated if we could
just leave it at that. You won't get flamed and your message won't get posted
on the GameFAQs boards, but I would really appreciate it if I didn't receive
any e-mails relating to spelling and grammar. I will find mistakes such as
those on my own. Thank you.

Again, I would like to thank all of you that aided me in completing this guide.
For everyone that has used my guide, I am very glad to have helped you. To all
