1. CHARACTERS
===============================================================================

These secrets are in the order you get them (more or less).

-----------------------------
Lisa
-----------------------------
This only works if you choose a Super Robot on the beginning of the game.
Ryouma's kill count must be 5 or higher by the end of Scenario 4. If you
succeed, Lisa has a conversation with Michiru after the Nadesico fires the
Gravity Blast at the enemies (she'll just say "?", but that's enough).

Lisa joins at Scenario 5.

Miyuki
-----------------------------
On Scenario 7, each one of Getter's forms must fight Miyuki at least once.
Then, convince her with Ryouma. Of course, don't attack her, since she doesn't
have much HP. Just let her attack Getter, she only goes for Getter anyway.

Miyuki joins right on.

Gai (Aestivalis Gai)
-----------------------------
1) On Scenario 8, take the Space Route (1st option).
2) During Scenario 9, you must keep Akito, Yurika and Gai safe until they
reach the end of the map. You can defeat all enemies too. Even though you can
attack Gai/Akito/Yurika, DON'T.

Gai joins during Scenario 11, after you shoot some of the enemies down.

Lalah Sune (Elmeth)
-----------------------------
1) On Scenario 8, take the Space Route (first option).
2) On Scenario 11, those four battles must occur:
  Amuro x Lalah
  Amuro x Char
  Sayla x Lalah
  Sayla x Char
3) On Scenario 12, do this IN ORDER:
- Destroy Char (Zeong);
- Convince Lalah with Amuro Ray.

Note: Don't convince Lalah before destroying Char, or he'll interrupt Amuro's
convince attempt, and it will fail. Also, you can let Lalah be destroyed after
you convince her.

Musashi
-----------------------------
Ryouma's kill count must be 15 or higher before Scenario 15. Note that Musashi
won't be able to pilot Getter 3 anymore, only the single-pilot Getters, like
Getter Q, Getter-1 and Getter Dragon.

Confirmation: Benkei appears with Getter G and switches places with Musashi. He
survives. Musashi "joins" after this Scenario.

Tekken Oni (Mecha Tekkouki)
-----------------------------
During Scenario 15, he will turn into an NPC in the beginning. Keep him alive
until the scenario ends. A tip is to leave some weak enemies to him, so he
doesn't go after the bosses. You can also heal him with an unit or with a SC,
differently from other SRW games, where you couldn't heal NPCs.

Chie (Kerot)
-----------------------------
At the end of Scenario 16, an option will come up for a route split. Choose
"Nanbara Connection" (option 1). You'll get it on the beginning of Scenario 17.

Kochou Oni
-----------------------------
At the end of Scenario 16, an option will come up for a route split. Choose
"Big Falcon" (option 2). During Scenario 17 of this route, Ryouma must first
have a battle encounter with Kochou Oni, and then convince her.

Note: I couldn't confirm it, but I think you need to have recruited Lisa (thus,
only on Super Robot route), because it's Lisa that convinces Kochou Oni after
Ryouma uses the convince command on her. I say this because some people
reported they couldn't convince Kochou Oni at all.

Four Murasame
-----------------------------
1) During Scenario 16, Kamille will auto-deploy in Super Gundam. Use him to
  convince Four.
2) During Scenario 18, Kamille will auto-deploy in Z Gundam. Use him to
  convince Four.

Confirmation: After destroying Psycho Gundam on 18, Kamille has a conversation
with Four.

Note: If you convince Four on 18, you can't convince Rosamia. You can convince
both on 16, but only the one you convince on 18 can be recruited.

Rosamia Badam
-----------------------------
1) During Scenario 16, Kamille will auto-deploy in Super Gundam. Use him to
  convince Rosamia.
2) During Scenario 18, Kamille will auto-deploy in Z Gundam. Use him to
  convince Rosamia.

Confirmation: After destroying Psycho Gundam on 18, Kamille has a conversation
with Rosamia.

Note: If you convince Rosamia on 18, you can't convince Four. You can convince
both on 16, but only the one you convince on 18 can be recruited.

Allenby Beardsley (Nobel Gundam)
--------------------------------
1) On Scenario 18, convince Allenby with Domon.
2) On Scenario 19, deploy Rain (Rising Gundam).
3) Convince Allenby with Rain.
4) Convince Allenby with Domon.
5) Domon must defeat Allenby (only the final blow counts).

Success: On 19, Allenby will be well (blue hair) after you destroy Nobel
        Gundam.
Failure: Allenby dies, Domon gains 50 morale.

Note: Although you can convince Allenby with Domon first and then Rain, don't.
I tested it and you don't get her. You have to convince her with Rain first,
then with Domon.

Master Asia (Master Gundam)
-----------------------------
1) On Scenario 8, choose Earth Route (option 2).
2) After Scenario 16, choose Guinea Highlands (option 3).
3) Succeed on recruiting Allenby (explained above).
4) Domon's kill count must be at 30 or higher before Scenario 19.

Success: During Scenario 29, Master Asia will appear to help Shin Getter
        in Turn 2.
Failure: After Scenario 21 (I have to confirm this) you get Fuunsaki (the horse
        mecha) alone.

Kirika
-----------------------------
During Scenario 24, have Grendizer DS (Grendizer combined with Drill Spazer)
have a battle encounter with Kirika (she's in the Zume Zume). Then, shoot Zuril
down, separate Grendizer from Drill Spazer, and convince Kirika with Maria (DS
pilot).

Kirika joins in the next stage.

Note: You don't need to do this in order (you can destroy Zuril first, then
battle and convince Kirika), but you still need to shoot Zuril down before
convincing her.

Norris (Gouf Custom)
-----------------------------
During Scenario 28, do not destroy Norris. When he's the last enemy alive, the
scenario automatically ends and he joins.

Puru
-----------------------------
1) Deploy Kamille on Scenario 28.
2) First destroy Glemy (Quin Mantha), then have Kamille fight Puru once. You
  don't need to attack her, you can let her attack you and dodge it.

Puru joins right on.

Puru Two
-----------------------------
On Scenario 28, after convincing Puru, she must deal the final blow on Puru
Two.

Puru joins on the next scenario.

Meio Plato (Falguen MAFFU)

Kaine's kill count must be 30 or higher before Scenario 31.

Meio will appear on Turn 5 of Scenario 31, to proudly challenge the Shadow
Mirrors. He will join right on.

Tsukumo (Daitetsujin)
-----------------------------
On Scenario 32, take the first option (Dorian route). Although Tsukumo appears
on Scenario 31, he only survives if you take this route.

2. MECHS
===============================================================================

Units that already come with a recruited character aren't covered here.

Apsalus
-----------------------------
1) On Scenario 6, Shiro (Gundam Ez-8) must convince Aina (Apsalus)
2) On Scenario 7, do not destroy the Apsalus.

Note: Aina joins regardless if you convinced her or not. She is not a secret
character. The convince command is to get the Apsalus on your side. Normally
Aina joins in a High-Mobility Zaku, but with this, you'll get the Apsalus too.

Minerva X
------------------------------
On Scenario 7, while Light (Dragonar-3) and Ankoku Daishogun (Demonica) are
still alive, have Kouji convince Minerva X. She will turn into a NPC. She must
survive the stage to join your team.

Minerva X is an unit that can be used by any of the Mazinger/Grendizer people.

Full Armor Gundam or G-Fighter
------------------------------
For the FA Gundam, Amuro's kill count must be higher than Sayla's by Scenario
8. The FA Gundam is an armored carrier for Gundam, and changes some of its
attacks.

For the G-Fighter, Sayla's kill count must be higher than Amuro's by Scenario
8. The G-Fighter can refill EN of other units, and can combine with the Gundam,
to form 4 different combinations.

Note that you can see these units earlier (start of Scenario 9) during the
Space Route, but if you go to the Earth Route, you'll only see them on Scenario
13. More importantly, both units are automatically unlocked in subsequent
playthroughs, the kill count won't matter then. You don't even need to go to
the Space Route, too.

Char's Gelgoog
-----------------------------
On Scenario 7, you must destroy Char's Gelgoog. He retreats at 1860 HP. You
receive it after completing the stage.

Mass-Produced Great Mazinger
------------------------------
Tetsuya's kill count must be at 30 or higher before Scenario 30. This unit can
be piloted by any of the Mazinger/Grendizer characters. This unit doesn't have
a Great Booster.

Sazabi
------------------------------
Quattro's kill count must be at 30 or higher before Scenario 31. You'll receive
it at Scenario 32 (Dorian Route) or at Scenario 36 (Little Baam Route).

Full-Armor ZZ Gundam
------------------------------
On Scenario 32, an option of a route split comes up. Choose "Little Baam Route"
(2nd option). Then, before Scenario 35 ends, Judau Ashta (ZZ Gundam) must score
at least 5 kills.

Note that this is only necessary on your first playthrough. Since Judau already
starts with some kills, you only need 43 kills to get it on subsequent
playthroughs. Also, you don't need to take the Little Baam Route anymore, that
was only necessary in the first playthrough to get Judau the necessary kills.
If you take the other route and Judau already has 43 or more kills, you'll get
the FA ZZ Gundam on Scenario 36.

3. UNLOCKABLE ATTACKS

Borot's Pressure Punch

Take the Space Route on Scenario 8 (first option). Boss' kill count must be 5
or higher before Scenario 10.

Super Robot Final Attack
-------------------------
After Scenario 16, an option comes up regarding a route split. Depending on
what route you choose, you get a final attack for a different Super Robot. You
can only get ONE of these attacks. The attack will be gained only on Scenario
28.
- Combattler V's Grand Dasher: Choose "Nanbara Connection" (option 1).
- Voltes V's Choudenji Ball - V no Jigiri: Choose "Big Falcon" (option 2).
- Daimos' Reppu Seikenzuki Kai: Choose "Guinea Highlands" (option 3).

Love Love Ten Kyou Ken (God Gundam + Rising Gundam)

After Scenario 25, an option comes up for a route split. Choose Devil Colony
(1st option) to get this attack. It becomes available on Scenario 28, when
both groups join again.

Zambot 3's Ion Cannon

Z Gundam's Hyper Beam Saber and Waverider Crash

7. FAQ
===============================================================================
Q. Super or Real?
A. Since Super has one more secret (Lisa) over Real, and Lisa isn't really the
  best of pilots, you won't be losing much going Real.

Q. Isn't Aina a secret character?
A. No. Although she has a Convince option, this only gives you the Apsalus, the
  mecha Aina pilots. Aina joins regardless of what you do.

Q. I tried to convince Minerva X, but it just blew up.
A. Both Dragonar-3 (your ally) and Demonica (the black and red battleship,
  piloted by Ankoku Daishogun) must be alive when you convince Minerva X.
  Otherwise, it just blows up when you convince it.

Q. Space or Earth Route?
A. Space has more secrets (Gai, Lalah, Borot Pressure Punch), while Earth only
  gives you Master Asia. If you're that much of a MA fan, go for Earth.

Q. And the items?
A. At least for this first route split, the items are the same. Only different
  enemies drop them.

Q. Rosamia or Four?
A. It doesn't really seem to matter that much, since their first three SCs are
  mostly the same (Rosamia has Confuse), and both take a lot of leveling up to
  get their last SCs. Four has the great Awaken (gives another move to any
  pilot), and her Ace Bonus makes Awaken cost only 50 SP.
  However, if you want to learn their last SCs, most likely an attack mech
  won't cut it, so use a Resupply mecha (G-Fighter can resupply) to level them
  up faster. This is a contradiction, since they have good support SCs, but
  their first SCs are attack-oriented. Summarizing it up, choose Four for
  Awaken and Rosamia for Confuse.

Q. In which scenarios do I lose the main mech?
A. 25 and 26.

Q. I couldn't recruit Kochou Oni! The Convince command doesn't show up?
A. This is unconfirmed, but I think you need to have Lisa on your party to be
  able to convince Kochou Oni. And since Lisa only comes in Super Robot Route,
  you see the trouble in that. However, this is only a guess, since when
  Ryouma convinces Kochou Oni, it's Lisa who talks her into joining your
  group. I don't know what happens if you don't have Lisa in your group.

Q. To recruit Master Asia, do I need to defeat him with Domon everytime?
A. No.

Q. How do I know I succeeded in recruiting Master Asia?
A. In Scenario 29, he'll come to help Shin Getter in Turn 2, if you succeed in
  recruiting him.

Q. How do I know I failed in recruiting Master Asia?
A. I couldn't test this more, but I think the "fail" condition is to receive
  Fuunsaki (the horse mecha) after Master Asia dies. I'm pretty sure you don't
  get Fuunsaki that early if Master Asia lives (Master Asia comes with
  Fuunsaki in Scenario 29).

Q. Is it possible to defeat Vindel when he first appears (Scenario 20)?
A. Yes, although you may want to wait until a 2nd playthrough before doing so.

Q. Is it possible to defeat Gen'ichiro in Scenario 24?
A. Yes, but it involves tedious stat-buffing through various playthroughs, and
  he just drops a SP Consumption Down (you get 2 on each playthrough, anyway).
  It's there more for the challenge. If you still want to do it, pump Akito's
  Range and Accuracy, and upgrade his mech beforehand (the upgrades remain
  between frames of an Aestivalis).

Q. Is there a way to take down Lemon in Scenario 37?
A. In a first playthrough, it's almost impossible without proper planning. One
  thing that helps is to occupy Axis before you defeat the last enemy, so
  Lemon and your Rival don't spawn on top of it, and thus they won't receive
  the defense bonus Axis gives.

Q. Is it possible to convince your rival character?
A. Unfortunately, no. There is some confusion on this matter, because on the
  first screens of the game that were posted in japanese magazines, there was
  an image of both robots (you and your rival) facing the same side (thus,
  allies) on Scenario 38. Guess it was just a mistake on their part.

Q. Is it possible to convince Gato?
A. No.

Q. Which secrets are route-exclusive?
A. Space Route: Lalah, Gai, Borot Pressure Punch
  Earth Route: Master Asia
  Nanbara Connection: Kerot, Combattler V's Grand Dasher
  Big Falcon: Kochou Oni, Voltes V's Choudenji V no Jigiri
  Guinea Highlands: Master Asia
  Devil Colony: Love Love Tenkyouken
  Dorian Route: Tsukumo
  All the other secrets (Sazabi, FA Gundam, FAZZ, etc) are dependant of kill
  counts.

Q. What do you keep between playthroughs?
A. Stats gained by using items, skills gained by items, and kill counts.

Q. What is the clear bonus?
A. Bonus money on the next playthrough. 50% on the 1st clear, 75% on the 2nd,
  and 100% from the 3rd onwards.

Q. Should I try to recruit the secret characters or get their items?
A. If this was the original A, I'd say to get all secret characters. But since
  in the hell that is AP, a character or other won't make that much of a
  difference, and the items that they give are almost always great, screw
  the characters. Go for the items.

Q. How to attain MASSIVE DAMAGE?
A. The question! I think, and take that as a pillar of salt, that if you boost
  Banjo's (Daitarn 3) Melee up to 400, give him Infight + 9, fully upgrade his
  mech and Zambot 3, get his ace bonus (Valor or Soul stacks with Critical),
  and attack a small enemy, you can get some pretty impressive damage. It's
  not very useful though, since S.Combination is a range 1 attack and isn't
  very cost-friendly. Your best bet is to stick with your main character,
  since the Supers' final attacks are already impressive, and you get the ace
  bonus of doing +20% damage when over 130 Morale.
