Introduction
------------
The purpose of this guide is to give you information on what you can gather
during the training missions. Gathering takes time so this guide will probably
not help you break any speed records... but it can help you break point records
or just help you complete a quest if you are having trouble.
Training Points Explanation
---------------------------
To further help you break point records, here is a small explanation of how the
points work.
Example Points Screen:
Clear Time: 1:14
Quest Clear: 1000
Monsters Slain: 1000
Time Attack Bonus: 1500
Item Sale Amount: 0
Point Multiplier: x90%
Points Earned: 3150
Quest Clear and Monsters Slain are points received from completing the training
and these points are based on the monster you are facing. Extra monsters you
kill such as Genprey do give you additional points.
Time Attack Bonus are points based on your Clear Time. The points start at a
base amount (1500 for the Yian Kut-Ku) and get reduced at certain time
intervals. The reduction is not necessarily linear and these points also differ
based on the monster you are facing.
Item Sale Amount are points received by selling all of the items in your
inventory. Supply items do not give you points because they don’t sell for
anything.
The Point Multiplier is based on the weapon you are using for the training
mission.
Points Earned Formula - (Quest Clear + Monsters Slain + Time Attack Bonus +
Item Sale Amount) x Point Multiplier
How This Guide Works
--------------------
This guide is broken up by the different areas you fight in. The monsters you
fight in these areas are put in parenthesis. The gathering spots are based off
of the resource maps you can find at gamefaqs.
Example: Herbs - Potion (7) x5
This means at the herbs spot in that area you will receive about 5 potions.
This number is an average just to give you an idea of how many items you will
receive. So you may get 4 potions or 6 potions, it can fluctuate. The (7) means
that 1 potion sells for 7z… aka is worth 7 points when the training is over.
