[INT] Introduction
===============================================================================
Hakuoki is an "otome" visual novel game, which means it's aimed at the female
audience. It features a reverse harem, ie: one girl living closely with and
surrounded by men.
The gameplay purely consists of reading text and making dialogue choices.
Think of it as a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure videogame.
There are multiple routes and endings depending on your dialogue choices,
and there are five men you can romance.
Toshizo Hijikata
* Dark hair, long thin ponytail
* Feared and respected, Commander of the Shinsengumi
Souji Okita
* Brown hair, messy and folded at back
* Relaxed and joking
Hajime Saito
* Blue hair, ponytail on his right side
* Quiet and skilled
Heisuke Toudou
* Brown hair, bangs with a high ponytail
* Young and energetic
Sanosuke Harada
* Red hair, low ponytail

Here's an overview of how the game flows, and various aspects of the game.
I'm lazy so it's in point form.
Chapters 1 through 3
* One route
* Build up your Romance levels with one of the five men
Chapters 4 and beyond
* Six routes
* Highest Romance level determines whose route you get
* If no Romance level is high enough, you get Kazama route
Corruption level
* Always starts at 2
* Increases by 1 each new chapter
Game over
* Can happen in chapters 4 and beyond
* Choose wrong dialogue option
* Romance level too low
* Corruption level too high
Good ending
* Avoid game over situations
