GRAND THEFT AUTO: CHINATOWN WARS
SPECIAL VEHICLES GUIDE
Version 1.4
By GTA_Loco

1. WELCOME TO CHINATOWN
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This guide will attempt to document practically every single special vehicle
that can be found in the game, inclusion of many of them will mainly
be for the purpose of completion of the list only. Definitely not all of them
are worth the trouble acquiring or that many of them are practically useless
to have, aside from the fact that there aren't enough garages to store them.
Some methods will include a few additional details in the walkthrough, so
please just bear with reading through them. They might be useful in giving
you a bigger picture of the environment you have to work around on to
facilitate your quest for the special vehicles.
Basically, we're talking here of three main aspects that make these vehicles
special:
1) Armoring: Protection of a vehicle from certain types of destruction.
2) Exclusive colors in their vehicle class.
3) Rarity: Something that's difficult to find or obtain.
These are the properties not obtainable from ordinary vehicles you see
driving around in free roam (with the exception of the taxi cab, after you’ve
activated “Taxi Shield”), neither will you be able to create these
properties without resorting to some modifications. In the case of rare ones,
their being special stems from the fact that they are not the type of vehicle
that can be regularly found anywhere at anytime in the game.
However, not included here are the R3 vehicles.
The only snag here is that these special vehicles can only be found when
doing both storyline missions and some side objectives. Particularly, those
in storyline missions are one-time appearance only, so it’s important not to
miss them or that you should choose carefully which are the only ones that
you would like to obtain, otherwise, you get one-shot only at an opportunity.
This guide will be divided into four sections:
1.ARMORED VEHICLES
2.EXCLUSIVELY COLORED VEHICLES
3.RARE VEHICLES
4.UNOBTAINABLE SPECIAL VEHICLES.
As for contributions, both for discovery of a vehicle and/or methods to
obtain it, I will include as valid ones only those that didn’t resort to
using cheat codes or modifications. Rather strict huh? Well that should
encourage you to brush up more on your gamesmanship then. Cheating is cool to
an extent but spoils the fun and challenge, that’s why this guide will only
give recognition to those people whose efforts have involved raw skills only.
Regularly this guide will be updated if new finds and/or better methods were
submitted. Any additional informations on the same contribution will be
entertained as confirmations.
So maybe now we're clear about everything somehow? If you have something to
contribute or inform me about anything related to this guide, please write me
to:
[email protected]
I'll be more than glad to correspond with you on anything about special
vehicles ONLY, but not on anything else about the game. Please just do that
in the proper forum or consult other guides.

4. VERSION HISTORY
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Version 1.0 (May 24, 2009) : Created this guide.
Version 1.1 (June 01, 2009): Added the bulletproof Style SR, Blista, Limo and
Yankee to the guide. Corrected some info errors and refined some methods.
Version 1.2 (June 19, 2009): Removed the White Voodoo as well as the Brown,
Red and Yellow Dukes, and Black Admiral from the Exclusive Color list.
Paintjobs for them turned out to be obtainable from a Pay N Spray or can be
found in free roam. Added the Yellow Comet. Included more information about
the garage, some details on the unobtainable vehicles and a new method to
obtain the Violet Cognoscenti. Added Rare Vehicle section and another method
how to acquire Chan’s Banshee in another mission.
Version 1.3 (June 23, 2009): Bulletproof Comet added! Exclusively colored
Angel, Turismo and Dukes added to the list as well. Fixed more errors and
added missing information on some vehicles.
Version 1.4 (September 06, 2009): Bulletproof Bus and Spanish Lords Burrito
added! Added a few more rare sports cars discovered spawning in certain
locations, and re-classified a few cars on the list. Removed Yellow Comet,
Dark Red Angel, Permanent Black Turismo and Bright Green Turismo. Colors of
the Comet, Angel and Turismo are Pay N Spray and Auto Merchant available;
they can be found in free roam too though rarely. Black Turismo is a standard
gang car and can be regularly found in gang’s turf. Corrected the description
of one BP car previously named as a regular Dukes to Spanish Lords Dukes,
which is actually a gang car. A very rare Destroyer boat was also added on
the list. More unobtainables were added on the list.

5. SAFEHOUSES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
There are a total of twenty-one safe houses that you can obtain from this
game. Fourteen of these properties are purchasable, five are mission
acquired, one can be won from any of the scratchcard stores and one more can
be obtained from a random character named Wilhelm.
The following is a list of all the safe houses you can own and some
descriptions about them:
A. Purchasable Safe houses
Assuming you have sufficient cash in hand, you can already buy these safe
houses that are available for sale right from the beginning of the game. You
can save in the place and be able to use its garage wherever there’s one. Out
of the fourteen you can buy, nine have a garage while the rest have none. How
to buy them is explained in simple terms by the in-game instructions.
Total cost you have to spend for the properties if for one reason or another
you intend to own practically all of them would reach to $134,000. But if
you’re planning on having only the ones with a garage, your expenditure can
be trimmed down to $94,000.

B. Storyline Mission Unlockables
Apart from the ones you can buy, there are five other safe houses that are
post mission acquisitions, meaning they are opened for you by a character
after you have completed a certain mission. No need to spend extra money for
them, you’ll just receive an email informing you that you can use them
already.
The mission to be accomplished to unlock a certain safe house may not
necessarily be for the character that would open it for you, but follows more
the progress of the story. South Bohan safe house would be opened by Wade
Heston while the four others would be given by Kenny Yu.

C. Wilhelm Character Unlockable
Random characters are back in the game since they were first introduced in
GTA 4; doing some favors for them would normally conclude your tasks with a
reward. From one of these characters, a guy named Wilhelm, you can acquire a
safe house after you have completed three tasks for him.
However, this guy can be found only after you have completed the mission
“Carpe Dime” and he’ll be at different locations for each encounter.
a. Encounter 1 - (Daytime only) In the Steinway district of Dukes in front of
Zhou Ming’s place. Give Wilhelm a lift to a foreclosure auction. There’s a
time limit for this and would require a long drive, so make sure you don’t
dawdle.
Reward: $250
b. Encounter 2 – (Daytime only) Standing in front of a house in the Meadow
Hills at Willis. He needs a lift to another auction. There’s a time limit
again for this task.
Reward: $500
c. Encounter 3 - (Day or night) Standing at the railing halfway across Dukes
Bay Bridge. On this last encounter, Wilhelm is despondent over his loss that
will lead to his committing suicide. Consequently, you will find the keys to
his house in Meadow Hills, Willis, which will serve as your safe house.
Reward: Meadows Hills
Location : Willis, Dukes district
Garage : Yes
D. Scratch Card Prize
Located at different parts of the city are scratchcard stores that offer
different prizes. You pay for a card and you scratch it to reveal a prize.
If you find three similar symbols of a prize, you win it. It’s as simple as
that.
In some of these stores you can find a green card that bears the promotion
“I’m Rich”. This is the only one that offers a house as a prize. Buy this
one, and if you’re lucky enough, you can win a suite at the Star Junction in
the West borough. You will be notified by a message about this, just check on
your map where this place is located.

5.01: Garage Facts and Features
*****************************************************************************
In order not to get inconvenienced by overlooked facts on how you can
utilized the garage, it’s important to understand first some features about
it.
1. One Vehicle Capacity
Under normal circumstances, it’s not possible to keep more than one vehicle
in any of your garages, so any extra one you force into it would be deleted.
Technical capacity or Absolute capacity-wise, strictly one can only be
stored. Saving priority is usually given to the one you’re driving.
Vans like a Burrito and N.O.O.S.E. Enforcer, cars and motorcycles are the
only technically storable vehicles. Garages won’t accept bigger ones like a
Yankee, Ammu-Nation van, Bus, Recovery, Flatbed, Bulldozer and Rhino. Except
for the Rhino because of its weight, these big vehicles however can still be
garaged by employing the chevrons bypass method. Boats and other seacrafts
can be saved also if you can move one on dry land, it can then be pushed to
the garage. The only exceptions here are the Reefer and Zhouboat because of
their size. Forget about aircrafts like a helicopter since there’s nothing
flyable anyway under normal circumstances.
A good thing about the garages in Chinatown Wars is that they are not as
bugged as the garages in the other GTAs in terms of stored vehicles always at
a risk of being “eaten” by it, something that had constantly bothered a lot
of garage user gamers. The only compromise here is their limited storage
capacity in exchange for efficiency.
2. Chevrons Operated
There’s a new garage switch system in the form of animated chevrons. You open
its door by driving a vehicle into the moving green v-shape thingy located at
the base of its door. However, these chevrons won’t function under certain
conditions that involve the following:
a) The garage is occupied already.
b) You’re using Huang to open the garage while he’s not in a vehicle even
when the garage is vacant. Huang can only switch the chevrons open
if he’s in a vehicle.
c) More than one vehicle, in a destroyed condition or not, are within the
chevrons. This makes it quite difficult to perform a second vehicle push
on a locked vehicle that you’d like to unlock using the garage.
d) You’re trying to store certain vehicles related to an active mission.
e) The vehicle exceeds the technically allowable size.
The last three conditions in particular can be quite a disadvantage to your
quest on certain special vehicles. An occasion may arise wherein you might
need to keep one in the garage during a mission or you’ll encounter one with
locked doors. A couple of big bulletproof vehicles can also be found in one
mission.
3. Bulletproof Only
Garages would only keep the bulletproof property of a vehicle. In an occasion
where an armored vehicle has more armoring apart from a bulletproofing, all
other special properties it may have will be removed from it after you store
it in the garage.
This is one significant reason why there’s quite a lot of unobtainable
Comprehensiveproof and BP/EP/FP vehicles on the list.
4. Forced Duplication
For some strange reasons, primary assigned mission vehicles can literally be
duplicated when forced inside a garage while the mission is on. However, this
can’t be determined yet whether it’s a normal mission-related feature in the
garage mechanics or some sort of a glitch, given that there’s quite an
inconsistency on how this duplication can occur and the manner in which it
affects your game.
There are at least three documented cases that describe this phenomenon:
1) If you store in a garage a mission vehicle during the mission, it would be
duplicated when you try to retrieve it afterwards. This duplicate vehicle
would have exactly the same properties as the mission assigned one, but
without the arrow above it that indicates it is disconnected from the
required task to complete your mission. Consequently, this can stuck
your game in that Huang’s programmed action of retrieving a vehicle from
the garage would end up with him driving out the duplicate every time and
never the original one. You’d have an unlimited copy of the vehicle
without ever proceeding with your task. You’ll have to fail the mission by
committing suicide, getting busted or just reloading the game.
2) Sometimes, the duplication process would trap you inside the garage once
you try to retrieve the mission vehicle. As long as the vehicle isn’t
comprehensiveproof, this problem can simply be solved by destroying the
vehicle to fail the mission and then just restarting it when prompted.
The duplicate vehicle would be kept in the garage while you proceed with
redoing your mission and would remain there permanently. Just make sure
the restart period doesn’t expire while you’re trapped inside.
3) On certain instances, the duplication process resulting in the garage door
closing on you while you’re retrieving the car would spawn you back on the
road just adjacent to the garage. You’d find yourself driving the
duplicate vehicle, but the problem here also is how to get back on the
mission vehicle again to proceed with your task, so eventually you’ll have
to resort to ways to restart the mission.
5. Garage Cut Scene
Previously, it was just entering and leaving an interior that plays a short
cut scene. But in Chinatown Wars, this was applied as well in entering or
getting out from a garage. This gives you without control then when
retrieving a stored vehicle, that poses a difficulty in choosing which one to
drive out in case a couple of them accidentally get stuck inside.
*****************************************************************************
5.02: Bypassing the Chevron Function
*****************************************************************************
Apart from the issue of locked doors, big vehicles and most of those
connected with a mission generate a sort of a sensitive reverse polarity with
the chevrons that bounces them off away from the garage. So in order to sort
of bypass the chevrons, you have to open the garage door first before you can
push something inside. Take note also that you’ll be unable to dismount from
your ride once you have opened the garage’s door so everything that you must
do have to be done while you’re riding in a vehicle. The process can be quite
tedious and time-consuming, but it will always work.
First, horizontally position the vehicle you want to push inside the garage
near the door so that its front or rear would be barely touching the
chevrons.
Next is to drive another vehicle into the chevrons to open the garage
door. Now while the door is open and without moving your car out of the
chevrons, repeatedly bump into the other vehicle. If done properly, this
would slowly move it towards the opened garage door until a substantial part
of the vehicle is by the opening and can already be pushed inside.
Try to angle the vehicle you’re pushing in such a way as you can push it from
its end. In the case of longer and/or heavier ones like a Bus or Yankee, you
will also need something like a Burrito or N.O.O.S.E. Enforcer that have a
short length but are heavy enough for the job. Other vehicles bigger than
these two won’t work as they will be rejected by the chevrons.
Be careful though not to trigger the short cut scene by going substantially
inside the garage with the vehicle you’re driving or the other one might
disappear.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
6. RELEVANT GAME FACTS
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
a) You can’t use Huang’s body for pushing any type of vehicle similar to
Nikko Bellic of GTA4. So when obtaining a vehicle it’s absolutely
necessary to use another one for the job. In this regards also, be extra
careful not to have a locked vehicle stuck in some closed spaces or places
without much room for maneuver, or it will be extremely difficult if not
impossible to retrieve it.
b) The water can’t be used anymore for the preservation of special
properties. What used to be an effective way in keeping the armoring
of a vehicle or failing your assignment when necessary to obtain a special
vehicle can no longer be utilized. The terrain on the beach, elevation of
the wooden planks on the docks and access ramp in a pool of water do not
have an angle that goes gradually into the water. This means for dunking a
vehicle, it will quickly go underwater and can no longer be retrieved.
c) A burnt out vehicle disappears quickly in free roam. It’ll only take a few
seconds for it to vanish once it’s destroyed as charred, so there’s no
point attempting to restore it in a garage. However, if this happens
during a mission, sometimes it would remain in the environment for a
longer time until you either lose sight of it or get in another vehicle.
This is unlike in the previous GTAs where blown up vehicles stay in the
environment for as long as you have visual contact or in close proximity
with it, and where you can normally push the wreck to the garage for
restoration.
d) Most vehicles are either locked or disabled that you need to hotwire
every time. There’s a simple bypass on the latter however, by just
cancelling the hotwiring scene and getting in the vehicle again. This
would sound the alarm and might alert the cops, but it’s something that’s
quite negligible.
e) Mission replays are in the game; redoing accomplished missions however,
absolutely won’t alter anything that’s been achieved already in the normal
gameplay. These mission replays are simply for time trials.
f) Apart from the law enforcer vehicles, Pay N Sprays also won’t accommodate
big vehicles like a Yankee, Ammu-Nation van, Bus, Recovery, Flatbed,
Bulldozer and Rhino. Additionally, these shops won’t remove any special
armoring a vehicle might have.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
7. STARTING A NEW GAME
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
It’s essential that you must prepare yourself properly and plan everything
out before you proceed with your quest ahead.
1. Make Some Money First
This is an indispensable commodity in the game. Owning all or some of the
safe houses would involve a substantial amount, therefore it’s necessary to
invest some time and effort raising some much needed cash.
There’s a great deal of free roam activities and odd jobs that will generate
a good amount of money to boost your resources. Some of these include:
a) Drug dealing
b) Scratch Cards
c) Rampages
d) Time Trials
The odd jobs in particular can be redone in an unlimited number of times and
would generate more money than what you can get from other sources.
Drug Dealing so far is the best source of income once this has been made
available. It might be a good idea to destroy all 100 security cameras
scattered all over Liberty City so that you can make more profits from the
stuffs that you’d sell given that said cameras have an effect on their
prices.
2. Upgrade Your Skills & Tools
Perform some side missions/odd jobs that will upgrade your abilities and
arsenal. At least a few of these will provide you with indispensable
improvement in your physical properties or tools for protection that are
crucial for your survival.
a) Taxi mission
Complete 15 fares in a row and you’ll activate “Taxi Shield”, upgrading
practically all taxi cabs driving around the city to a bulletproof car.
This upgrade isn’t a one time opportunity but is applied on a permanent
basis. So aside from earning some needed money from doing this side
mission, the bulletproofing bonus you’ll get can be very useful when doing
dangerous tasks.
b) Vigilante
Complete 5 waves with 100% kill rate to double your body armor. You can
also pick up some weapons from your victims ranging from melee weapons
to a flamethrower. This would save you some money from having to purchase
weapons.
c) Firefighter
Complete 5 waves with 100% save rate to make you fire retardant.
Immunity from fire will benefit you a lot when figuring in a literally
fiery situation, which can happen in a lot of occasions.
d) Paramedic
Complete 5 waves with 100% save rate to provide you with infinite
sprint. This is quite useful for running away without getting tired in
case you need to.
e) Noodle Run
Get gold medals for both of this odd job located at Algonquin and Dukes to
unlock “Regeneration”. Your health will re-generate when it’s critically
low prolonging your life, definitely better than the measly health boost
you get from the previous GTAs. This in fact renders you almost
invulnerable from most life-threatening injuries although explosions and
multiple and successive solid hits from any weapon can still kill you.
Having this special ability gives you greater chance of surviving a life
and death situation when on a mission or otherwise.
3. Buy Your Safe houses
When you have raised enough cash to make some real property purchases,
prioritize in obtaining as much as you can afford the places with a garage.
Since part of your primary objective would be the acquisition of vehicles
that’s why you’re consulting this guide, it’s only logical to go for safe
houses where you have a space to store them.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
8. DEFINITION OF TERMS
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Let’s try to understand first the meaning of a few terms used in this guide.
Vehicle classification with regards to their special properties, will be
considered mainly in the order of importance given to them namely,
Comprehensiveproof is at the top of the list, followed by Bulletproof,
Explosionproof, Fireproof, Damageproof, Exclusively Colored & lastly Rare.
We'll also define these properties individually for clarity and mainly for
reference. Anyone having one or more of these (except the Comprehensiveproof)
will be termed in some instances for purpose of brevity, as the following
example: BP/EP/FP -Bulletproof/Explosionproof/Fireproof; BP/FP -
Bulletproof/Fireproof, etc.
ARMOR/ARMORED/ARMORING – Defensive covering of a vehicle against certain
forms of destructive means. Certain structural features are constructed with
added strengthening to permanently withstand damages that can lead to the
vehicles destruction. This do not necessarily refer to fighting vehicles only
such as a tank, but the definition covers broadly the different types of
vehicle protection applied in-game, ranging from fireproof to bulletproof, to
comprehensiveproof.
CP - Comprehensiveproof: This is essentially a BP/EP/FP/DP or perhaps one you
can say as "indestructible" or "invulnerable”; a vehicle that has all the
armoring it can possibly have. Most forms of damaging means under NORMAL
circumstances cannot destroy it, be it with whatever type of weapons or
physical abuse.
BP - Bulletproof: Complete protection from any form of gunfire. An armored
vehicle (though not necessarily a fighting vehicle like a tank) capable of
withstanding and stopping 100%, any type of bullet or a direct shot from any
bullet-based weapon; ranging from pistols to a minimum.
EP -Explosionproof: As the term implies, any form of explosive devise or form
of explosion cannot destroy a vehicle that has this quality; be it hand
grenades, Rags, exploding vehicles or even a cannon fire from a Rhino!
DP -Damageproof: Vehicle does not sustain any form of physical destruction,
in terms of denting and deterioration of its health due to repeated physical
abuse like crashing or getting hit with melee weapons. Motorbikes for one
don't get dented but you'll know if they sustain damages from crashing if you
see them smoke after awhile. This also covers protection from a Rhino bump.
FP - Fireproof: This is perhaps the least of all protections. Fire retardant
and indestructible from any form of blaze, ranging from a molotov to a
flamethrower or whatever source of fire.
EC - Exclusive Color: There are vehicles that do not have any armoring at
all, but have a paintjob that is unobtainable from any Pay n Spray. The
colors aren't anything unique by themselves, but something that is applied
only in one vehicle from among the rest in its class. Let’s say a Patriot may
not have any yellow color that can be obtained from the Pay N Spray, so in
the presence of such color in the vehicle in a mission, said Patriot can be
classified as an Exclusive Color vehicle. There are some that sport an
exclusive color and are armored as well.
RARE – A vehicle that has a very limited presence in the game. It's not
a different version of a regularly spawning vehicle, in most cases not
armored or exclusively colored, but one that you can only find inside a
mission or chance circumstances. This also covers certain vehicles that have
other special properties apart from the armorings and special colors.
OBTAINABLE/UNOBTAINABLE - The terms refer to the final state of the special
property/properties of the vehicle or the vehicle itself, whether it/they can
be acquired and saved or not, when a mission is tactically failed
intentionally or successfully completed.
MISSION SCRIPT – Usage of this term in the guide refers more to the nature of
a given assignment, with a specific focus on the aspect of the script’s
opcode involving your actions in relation to the law enforcer’s behavior.
At least six types are documented here:
1) Normal- Maximum penalty is enforced as dictated by default game script.
Depending on which progress you are in the game, the maximum number of
stars are applied with the regular appearance of corresponding law
enforcers when you commit a felony that warranted them.
2) Low Wanted Level – Penalty does not exceed one or two stars however
extensive your commission of violation is. The regular cops in light blue
shirt are the only ones present but they would still bust you in the
normal way.
3) Location-Specific Elimination - This is a no wanted level applied to
a limited area only. Your penalty is kept at zero within a given
area where heavy action is taking place. Out of the mission location
however, your wanted level is instated as normal and law enforcers
would try to bust you in the normal ways.
4) Location-Specific Felony Allowed – Wanted levels function as normal
but law enforcers would ignore your criminal actions when you’re
within the vicinity of a mission destination. Whatever wanted level
you’ve raised would remain instated but law enforcers won’t bust
you. However, the authorities would resume their normal course of
actions against you once you move outside of the vicinity.
5) Felony Allowed – Basically similar to a Low Wanted Level, but with the
absence of law enforcers anywhere in the city. You get slapped with one
star wanted level only regardless of how much violation you commit.
6) No Wanted Level – Absolutely no police action would be taken against you
no matter how many crimes you perpetrate and you won’t raise any wanted
level at all. Police may not be around or they maybe present but their
response is absolutely set to zero. This is exploitable however
insignificant this opportunity may be, although some missions may have
some limiting factors in your actions.

9. THE WALKTHROUGHS
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
In roughly storyline order, here are the walkthroughs on how you can acquire
the special vehicles.
Difficulty rating was based on the whole process involved in obtaining them,
inclusive of the stage or stages in the mission that you have to go through,
as well as after the mission is failed or passed. It is mainly for reference,
just an approximate and can be subjective, given that actual difficulty or
ease of acquiring the special vehicles can vary on the skills of players.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
10. BULLETPROOF VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This is the only type of armored vehicle that you can absolutely obtain in
GTA: Chinatown Wars, unlike in the previous GTAs where there was a plethora
of them.
This special armored property or other ones that might still be in a vehicle
before the garage deletes them, is not affected at all by other activities
you might do or encounter when on mission.
San Andreas had one main mission that at a certain stage would replace any
vehicle armoring with an Explosionproof/Fireproof one, Vice City Stories had
an almost similar case but with the addition of the street races deleting
practically all of whatever armoring your vehicle had. Liberty City Stories
only had the street races that do this, while in GTA 4, vigilante strips off
all armoring.
Chinatown Wars however does not have any tasks that disable the armoring, so
you can safely use your bulletproof vehicle for whatever purpose. A few main
storyline missions plus most of the random characters may generate additional
armoring to your bulletproof vehicle, but they won’t cripple the original
special property.
*****************************************************************************
10.01: BULLETPROOF TAXI
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Taxi Mission
Location : Liberty City
Character : none
Difficulty : 2 or 3
Source : Reconite
Mission Script: Normal
This is possibly one of the earliest bulletproof car obtainable. It is also
one of only two known non pre-order bonus bulletproof vehicles that are
eventually made unlimitedly available after completing certain tasks.
To obtain this bulletproof taxi, simply do 15 fares in a row of the taxi
mission and you'll activate "Taxi Shield", making all taxi cabs that you’ll
find anywhere in the city and in free roam permanently bulletproof.
Take note however that for some reasons, hailing a vacant taxi would
permanently remove its bulletproof property. Whether you ride in it or not,
your action would cripple its special property once it moves from its
position after acknowledging your call.
There are at least two instances this can happen: 1) If you took a taxi in
the normal way, the bulletproof property would be gone after you get off the
car. 2) If you don’t have a wanted level and you called on a cab and it
stops, and then another vehicle bumped into it that prompts it to move, the
bulletproof property of that taxi would be gone at that point. 2) If the cops
are hot on your trail where you have a flashing red radar, when you call on a
taxi and it speeds away, the bulletproof property of that car would be
deleted as well.
*****************************************************************************
10.02: BULLETPROOF STYLE SR
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Stealing the Show
Character : Zhou Ming
Location : East Island City
Difficulty : 2 or 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass or Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario for 10.02 – 10.08:
Your task for Zhou is to help him steal some crates from a flatbed truck
before it can make its way to a rival gang’s warehouse. While you’re on the
back of the truck, your movement will be restricted to throwing fifteen
crates to Zhou who’ll be following you in his Bobcat. You won’t be able to
get off, your weapons selection would be disabled and you can’t do anything
else at this point apart from being able to perform some useless stationary
martial arts moves. You’ll be released from your stuck position only after
you’ve completed offloading the required number of crates.
Along the way you will find some vehicles on the streets involved in scripted
scenarios, some are just parked on the roadside and at least a few others can
be seen driving down the road. As unrecognizable as they may be, a good
number of these are in fact bulletproof vehicles.
The only catch here is you can only get them when you can finally get off the
truck or if you still see them around when you dismount. Take note however
that the bulletproof vehicles are ONLY THE ONES THAT YOU SEE BEFORE YOU JUMP
OFF THE TRUCK. The others that would spawn once you’re on the ground already
would be normal ones.
It might be a good idea to make a pass on this mission several times, just to
memorize the route the flatbed truck would take and the scripted background
scenarios you’ll encounter along the way.
There are actually seven bulletproof vehicles that can be obtained from this
mission and this Style SR is first on the list. Theoretically, all these
bulletproof vehicles can all be obtained without failing the mission under
the following conditions:
1) If you can obtain both the bulletproof Style SR and Police Patrol on the
first occasion you encounter the chase;
2) If the Yankee, Blista and Dukes would appear on the road when you turn
right to Schottler before you arrive where the Bus is parked and if you
can steal all three of them and drive each of them to the garage;
3) If you don’t encounter any problem pushing the Bus inside the garage, and
4) If you don’t encounter any problem pushing the Limo inside the garage.
Although the police chase will occur on two occasions, dismounting from the
truck would terminate the chase. So if you’ve missed getting the Style SR,
Police Patrol or both of them on the first chance, then you’ve completely
missed that opportunity already.
The Yankee in particular may not always appear in Schottler before you reach
the Bus’ location. However, if it does appear in front of your South Slopes
safe house, it’s next to impossible to steal it from its driver unless you
kill Zhou and fail the mission. Same goes for the Blista and Dukes.
The Bus is one hell of a long vehicle to conveniently push inside the garage.
If you make a wrong move while attempting to push it inside the garage and
accidentally jammed the door on it, you can’t obtain it anymore.
Lastly, the Limo for some reasons can’t be stored in the garage while the
mission is on. So if you want to keep it there before finishing your task,
you have to make sure you won’t accidentally jam the door on it.
If one or more conditions won’t permit acquiring all seven bulletproof
vehicles in just one go, then it’s best to just tactically fail the mission
when obtaining some of them.
Now going back to the Style SR, if you have missed a real-life opportunity of
pre-ordering online a couple of sporty cars as bonuses in the game, there
would be another good chance of owning an equally sporty car when you do this
mission for Zhou.
You can find this car being chased by a police car somewhere in the mission
on two occasions and have a shot at an opportunity in stealing this.
METHOD 1(GTA_Loco)
Start the mission until the point where you have to get on the back of a
flatbed truck. Throw fifteen crates to Zhou as quickly as you can to be able
to get off the truck when needed, and you must do this before the truck turns
left to Schottler. Because once you reach that place, expect to encounter a
police chase that would pass by on the same road you’re on. This chase
involves a Style SR and a police car, both of which are bulletproof cars.
As soon as you see the chase or have estimated its occurence, press X as
quickly as you can. Once you set foot on the road, the chase would end and
the bulletproof Style SR as well the bulletproof police car would slow down.
Sprint towards the sports car and quickly grab it from its driver. Save it
first to your nearest garage, and from this point, don’t fail or pass the
mission yet. You need to get a few more bulletproof vehicles along the way.
Now the second time that you’d see this chase again would be on the nearby
road just north of your South Slopes safe house. If for one reason or another
you failed to dismount from the truck the first time you saw the chase,
you’ll have a second and last chance to get the car when the chase happens
again near your safe house.
The only caveat here is, once you’ve dismounted from the truck, the chase
won’t happen anymore. So if you got off prematurely or failed to snatch the
sports car on the first occasion, you’ve just lost an opportunity and must
redo the mission.
You may succeed on the second chance but this would mean missing the
opportunity of obtaining the other bulletproof cars along the way, given that
in order for the chase to happen, you have to stay on the truck. And the
second time the chase will happen again would be after you pass by the other
bulletproof cars. Now any visual contact made with those cars would mean
they’d be gone for good once you leave them behind.
So if by chance you obtained this car on the second occasion but would still
like to get the others, then you have to fail the mission.
*****************************************************************************
10.03: BULLETPROOF POLICE PATROL
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Stealing the Show
Character : Zhou Ming
Location : East Island City
Difficulty : 1
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail or Pass mission
Mission Script: Normal
If you didn’t get off the truck and went half way through the route towards
its destination, you can find this police car on three occasions; first and
second occasions are during the chase in Schottler and South Slopes
respectively, and the third and last occasion is when you reach somewhere in
South Slopes where you’ll find this slammed against a burning Style SR. It’s
the same police car involved in that small event within the mission that
concludes on the last occasion you can find it.
However, the conditions for getting this car are basically similar to that of
the Style SR; dismounting from the truck would terminate the chases where
this armored police car appears.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Do the mission as normal, throw all the fifteen crates to Zhou as quickly as
you can before the truck turns left to Schottler where a police chase would
occur. As soon as this police car appears down the road chasing a Style SR,
or if you can estimate when the chase would occur, press X to get off the
truck quickly.
The police car would slow down at this point, allowing you a good opportunity
of stealing it. Chase it and yank the cop out, ignore the one star wanted
level, and then drive it to your garage first before deciding on whether to
collect the other bulletproof vehicles by failing the mission or just proceed
with finishing your task.
If you decided on failing your assignment at this point, head back to where
you left Zhou behind, blow up his Bobcat to kill him. But if you opt for
completing the job, store the police car to your garage first and then come
back for Zhou and drive him back to his place for a successful conclusion.
METHOD 2 (GTA_Loco)
If you’ve failed to complete throwing all fifteen crates to Zhou and have
passed by the first chase, just continue with your task and wait for it to
happen again when you reach a road just north of your South Slopes safe
house. However, do not dismount from the truck until you see the chase for
the second time or you’ll entirely lose the opportunity. However, by doing
this you will have to forgo obtaining the other bulletproof vehicles along
the way.
So as soon as you finish the crates and see the chase again near your South
Slopes safe house, press X quickly and run after the police car. Yank out the
cop, be careful of your wanted level, store the cop car first in your garage
and decide afterwards whether to complete the task or fail it to be able to
obtain the other bulletproof vehicles.
METHOD 3 (GTA_Loco)
In an extreme case where it took you a tremendous amount of time throwing all
the crates to Zhou that made you pass by both of the police chases, your last
chance to obtain this police car is when you reach somewhere in Schottler
where you’ll find this slammed against a burning Style SR. It would be
without an occupant so it’d be much easier to obtain. But reaching this point
would mean abandoning your acquisition of the other bulletproof vehicles.
Just jump off the truck when you reach the place, keep it in your garage
first and complete your mission or fail it if you plan on having the other
bulletproof vehicles.
*****************************************************************************
10.04: BULLETPROOF DUKES 1 0f 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Stealing the Show
Character : Zhou Ming
Location : East Island City
Difficulty : 5
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass or Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
You can find this car on a couple of occasions during the mission; first time
is somewhere along the way after you turn right to Schottler where you’d see
this driving down the road, and the second time would be in front of your
South Slopes safe house where it will magically spawn along with some other
bulletproof vehicles.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
This is for the Dukes car that you’ll find driving down Schottler.
Do the mission until the point where you have to throw fifteen crates to
Zhou. Quickly dispose of this task and wait until you turn right to
Schottler before you arrive where the bus is parked on the side of the road.
At this point, you’d notice a few cars driving by, in most instances this
Dukes would be one of them.
When you have a visual on this car, quickly get off the truck and chase it.
Intercept the car and hit it with a melee weapon to scare off the driver,
while being careful not to alert the cops. Resorting to the melee weapon is
necessary given that for some reasons, Huang wouldn’t respond to the X button
press if there’s still a driver inside. And since it is BP/EP/FP at this
stage, other weapons won’t have any effect on it.
But assuming you succeed to force him out, just get in the car, store it
first in your garage and decide for yourself whether complete the mission or
to get all the other bulletproof vehicles in the game. If you decide on the
latter, you must fail the mission at this point.
Be forewarned though that once you’re on the road, other normal cars
including some Dukes would spawn and you might get confused with which one is
the bulletproof. You must keep a good eye on the real one and avoid the
confusion.
METHOD 2 (GTA_Loco)
In case you missed obtaining the Dukes on the first encounter, you’ll have a
second opportunity when this car appears again right in front of your South
Slopes safe house.
The deal here however is to fail the mission by killing Zhou once you see the
car. Without terminating the mission, for some reasons you won’t be able to
scare the driver out and you wouldn’t be able to yank him out from the car at
any time. Ending the mission however would at least allow you to scare the
driver out.
Start the mission up to the point where you have to throw fifteen crates to
Zhou, which you must do so quickly before you arrive at the vicinity of your
South Slopes safe house. As you pass by the road where you’ll find two cars
slammed on each other, get off the truck and start hitting Zhou’s Bobcat with
any weapon in your arsenal until it catches fire and is about to explode. At
this point, rush over towards your safe house and the Dukes would almost
always spawn there.
If the Dukes does appear, follow it closely until Zhou gets killed in the
explosion and the mission fails. At this point, hit the car with the fists or
any melee weapon, this would scare its occupant leaving the car open for you
to just drive away.
Note that once you’re on foot already, other Dukes might also appear on the
road that might confuse you on which is the bulletproof one, so make sure
that you keep a good eye on the special Dukes. Killing Zhou would also alert
the cops and would raise a wanted level, so just avoid getting busted until
you successfully save the car in your garage.
But if the Dukes didn’t appear in the location and you’re still interested to
acquire on this opportunity, then you have to redo the mission.
*****************************************************************************
10.05: BULLETPROOF BLISTA
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Stealing the Show
Character : Zhou Ming
Location : East Island City
Difficulty : 5
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass or Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Almost similarly as with your encounter with the bulletproof Dukes, this car
also involves basically the same conditions in as far as the manner on how
you can obtain it.
You can find this on at least two occasions also; first chance is on the road
when you reach the vicinity of Schottler where a bus is parked, and the
second chance is when it spawns in front of your South Slopes safe house.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Start the mission, throw all the fifteen crates to Zhou as quickly as you can
before you arrive at Schottler where a bus is parked. Once you’re within the
vicinity, you will find this car among the others driving down the road. At
this point, get off the truck and chase this car.
Don’t ever get confused with the other vehicles including some Blista cars
that would spawn on the road once you’re on the ground. Keep a good eye on
this one and carefully follow it wherever it goes.
Hit it with a melee weapon once you intercept it to force the driver out, but
be wary of the cops. Huang’s response to the X button press is also disabled
for this car similar with the Duke’s case. Also, sometimes you will easily
scare the occupant, sometimes it will try to speed away and sometimes the
driver will never come out whatever you do. But assuming that you manage to
steal the car, save it to the garage first before you proceed.
METHOD 2 (GTA_Loco)
Alternatively, if you didn’t get the car the first time, you’ll have another
shot at it when it appears in front of your safe house.
So from the point where you lost the Blista car on the first occasion and
assuming you’ve completed offloading the fifteen crates, if you’ve gotten off
the back of the truck already, you have to first drive Zhou’s Bobcat to the
location where it’s just a block away from your South Slopes safe house.
Alternatively, you can just wait for the truck to pass by the location while
you’re still onboard.
As you reach the place, quickly get off the truck and start hitting Zhou’s
Bobcat with any weapon in your arsenal until it catches fire and is about to
explode. At this point, rush over towards your safe house and the Blista
would almost always spawn there.
If the Blista spawns, follow it closely until Zhou gets killed in the
explosion and the mission fails. At this point, hit the car with the fists or
any melee weapon, this would scare its occupant leaving the car open for you
to just drive away.
*****************************************************************************
10.06: BULLETPROOF YANKEE
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Stealing the Show
Character : Zhou Ming
Location : East Island City
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass or Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
On certain occasions, among the vehicles that would appear driving down the
road after you turn right to Schottler before you reach the parked Bus is
this van. Sometimes it would also spawn in front of your South Slopes safe
house along with some other cars. If it didn’t appear at all in any of those
locations but you would like to have this, you have to redo the mission until
you find it.
This is definitely a big vehicle that can’t be technically accommodated by
the garage. However, the good news is that despite its size you can still
push it in the garage by applying the technique outlined in this guide’s
section about bypassing the chevron function.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
If you see this van on the first occasion when you’re in the Schottler
vicinity where the bus is parked, grab the opportunity of obtaining it.
You must at this point have finished throwing all the required fifteen crates
so that you can freely move again. And since X button press would be disabled
at this point for this van while it is occupied, you must repeatedly hit it
with a melee weapon. But do so with caution to avoid alerting the police.
You will manage to scare off the van’s occupant, get in it once it is
abandoned and store it first in your garage applying the technique how to
bypass the garage chevrons. Decide afterwards on whether to complete the
mission or obtain the other bulletproof cars that consequently requires you
to fail the task by killing Zhou.
METHOD 2 (GTA_Loco)
Start the mission, throw all the fifteen crates to Zhou as quickly as you can
before you pass by your South Slopes safe house. Now as you reach the place,
quickly get off the truck and start hitting Zhou’s Bobcat with any weapon in
your arsenal until it catches fire and is about to explode. At this point,
rush towards your safe house and if the Yankee appears, follow it closely,
wait until Zhou gets killed in the explosion and the mission fails. At this
point, hit the van with the fists or any melee weapon, consequently scaring
off its occupant abandoning the van. Get in the van, drive it to your safe
house and save it in the garage.
*****************************************************************************
10.07: BULLETPROOF BUS
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Stealing the Show
Character : Zhou Ming
Location : East Island City
Difficulty : 5
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Despite its length, this Bus can still be pushed inside the garage.
Previously listed as unobtainable, you can now include this in your
collection of bulletproof vehicles. The only deal here is you must have a
tremendous amount of patience and be extremely careful when applying the
chevrons bypass technique.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Start the mission, throw all the fifteen crates to Zhou as quickly as you can
before the truck turns right to Schottler where you can find this Bus parked
on the side of the road. As soon as you see this, press X to get off the
truck.
Get in the Bus and drive it to any of your garages. If you are planning on
getting the other bulletproof vehicles along the way, make sure that you’d
take the route that won’t pass through where they are located. That’s because
they would disappear if you leave them behind after you make a visual contact
on them.
Now the hardest part in obtaining the Bus is in storing it inside the garage.
You must use the right size of vehicle for pushing this inside, or you risk
failing in your acquisition. The Burrito or N.O.O.S.E Enforcer are just about
right for this job, they’re short but heavy enough to match the length and
weight of the Bus when pushing it. However, other vehicles might also work.
So when you reach your garage, apply the chevrons bypass technique in pushing
the Bus, but be extremely careful not to jam the garage door on the Bus or
you’ll never be able to retrieve it. While attempting to push it inside the
garage, basically what’s required is no matter what happens, make sure that
you don’t drive out of the chevrons.
Assuming you succeed in storing it, just continue with the mission or fail it
if you didn’t get the other bulletproof vehicles but would still like to
collect them.
*****************************************************************************
10.08: BULLETPROOF LIMO
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Stealing the Show
Character : Zhou Ming
Location : East Island City
Difficulty : 1
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
If you have acquired already the other bulletproof vehicles along the way
before you arrived at where this Limo is parked, you can still find this car
in its location as long as you haven’t made a visual contact on it yet. Its
presence won’t be affected at all by the completion of your task with the
crates.
It may be practical to get this last in the order you can encounter the
bulletproof vehicles in the mission.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Assuming you decided to obtain this car together with some other bulletproof
vehicles in one go, just go to where this car is located after you’re done
storing the others in the garage.
It will spawn parked and unlocked in front of what appears to be hotel in
South Slopes near your safe house there.
Now this car is one that the garage won’t accommodate while you’re still
doing the mission, and one that’s quite long and difficult to keep in the
garage applying the chevron bypass technique. If this would prove too much of
a trouble for you to do, just fail the mission in order to keep this.
So once you find the Limo, get in the car, drive to where you left Zhou and
destroy his Bobcat to kill him. After you terminate your task, you can
already keep this Limo in the garage.
*****************************************************************************
10.09: BULLETPROOF SPANISH LORDS DUKES
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Kenny Strikes Back
Character : Wu “Kenny” Lee
Location : East Island City
Difficulty : 2 or 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass or Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:
Kenny wants to exact revenge on the Spanish Lords who have attacked his
merchandise. His instructions are for you to steal a van full of drugs from
the gang’s warehouse in Chase Point and drive it back to his place.
After you kill all the gangsters in the compound and hotwired the van, a
first wave of back up from your enemies would arrive in a couple of Dukes
cars. One of these cars has a comprehensive armoring, but you can only keep
it as a bulletproof in the end.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Do the mission until you arrive at the warehouse of the Spanish Lords.
Smash the gate keypad and hotwire it, go inside the compound and engage the
gangsters in a gunfight. You must kill all of them first before you steal the
van. As soon as after you hotwired the van in whatever way, armed back ups
will arrive at the place in a couple of Dukes car.
Take out these guys as well and then check on the cars they are driving, see
which one is the armored car. Once you find the car, leave the van and drive
the Dukes first to your nearest garage and keep it there. Ignore the
gangsters who would attack you along the way; you’re in a comprehensiveproof
car and therefore invulnerable.
Although this is a mission-generated car, this can be saved already even
while you’re still doing the mission. Don’t worry also about leaving the van
behind as this action won’t fail the mission.
After you store the car, next is to get back to where you left the van, get
in it and deliver the goods to Kenny’s place as quickly as you can while
fighting off the attacking gangsters riding in cars. Complete the mission and
save.
*****************************************************************************
10.10: BULLETPROOF SPANISH LORDS BURRITO
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Free roam
Location : Spanish Lords warehouse, Chase Point
Availability: After the mission “Kenny Strikes Back”
Difficulty : 1
Source : Carvasous
Required : Don’t trigger the mission
Mission Script: Normal
Apart from the bulletproof Taxi, there is also a Spanish Lords Burrito van
that would be permanently bulletproof and unlimitedly available once you have
unlocked the Warehouse Raid side mission. This is the second one of the only
two bulletproof vehicles mentioned earlier in the guide that are non pre-
order bonuses obtainable any time once they are made available.
Thanks to Carvasous who discovered the Burrito that always spawns inside the
warehouse is an obtainable bulletproof vehicle but for as long as you didn’t
trigger the side mission. It is actually a comprehensiveproof van albeit
unobtainable because of the garage issue.
METHOD 1 (Carvasous)
When you have unlocked the Warehouse Raid mission, a Burrito that is
explosive, bullet, damage and fire proof will appear at the back of the
Warehouse. However, if you activate the mission it will change to an
ordinary Buritto so avoid doing this.
To get it, park a bike as close and level to the gate as you can and
then get off it, get to the side of the bike and jump over it. If done
correctly you will jump over the bike and the gate. Then simply walk
past the guards and steal the van. Ignore the armed gangsters since
they will not attack you even if you attack them as long as there’s no
mission. Drive it to any of your garage and save.
METHOD 2 (jimmythesnowman)
An alternative method to get inside the warehouse comes from
jimmythesnowman. This however can be a more tedious way compared to
Method 1.
Get any car, and then any tall Truck, like a Yankee or FIB Rancher. Put
the truck against the wall and the car against the truck. Vault up both
and you will have a bit of clearance, allowing you to drop into the
compound.
*****************************************************************************
10.11: BULLETPROOF CAVALCADE
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Street of Rage
Character : Wade Heston
Location : Industrial
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass or Fail mission
Mission Script: No Wanted Level
At the point you have approached the Steinway tollbooth where
the gunfight is, your wanted level would be frozen. Cops will
be around some places but won’t get alerted by your
commission of felony, the situation therefore is exploitable.
Pedestrian and vehicle traffic is normal, police presence is
normal.
Scenario for 10.11 & 10:12
A group known as Wonshu assassins captured Heston after he and his squad were
surrounded near the Steinway tollbooth. He will call on you to bail him out
of the situation.
When you arrive at the scene, you will find a group of Heston’s men and some
gangsters engaged in a gunfight; nearby them are some cars that include three
Dukes, three Cavalcades, a police car and a taxi. Two of the Cavalcades as
well as two of the Dukes are actually bulletproof cars. These are
comprehensiveproof cars before storing them in a garage despite what you see
in their condition, but only the bulletproof property is retainable. The only
normal Cavalcade among the three you will find is the one nearest to the
tollbooth parked on the other side.
All the cars you’ll find there would be locked and stuck on the ground during
the gunfight, so the Cavalcade in particular can’t be driven until either you
kill all the gangsters first or fail the mission by allowing Heston’s men to
be massacred.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
If you opt to complete your assignment and take home both the bulletproof
Cavalcade and Dukes, you will have to save them first in your garage before
you proceed with saving Heston since the cars would disappear once you move
far away from them when you have to save Heston.
As you arrive at where the action is, kill all the enemies before Heston’s
men are wiped out. After your adversaries are dead, get in the Cavalcade and
Dukes and drive them alternately towards your nearest garage. Of course you
have to store them in separate garages so just do this, and then head back to
the tollbooth and kill the second group of gangsters.
When you’re prompted to save Heston from captivity, proceed with the
objective; kill the leader holding him to complete the mission. The Cavalcade
and Dukes will remain in your garages with their bulletproof property still
intact.
METHOD 2 (GTA_Loco)
If obtaining the Dukes and the Cavalcade would prove to be a tedious task for
you but you still want to obtain both of them, you can opt to just prioritize
obtaining the Cavalcade but at the expense of failing your mission.
So do the mission as normal, drive over to Steinway tollbooth preferably in a
bulletproof taxi or any bulletproof car you may have already acquired in
earlier missions. Park within a close range to where the Cavalcade is, and
just wait for the enemies to massacre Heston’s men. Don’t worry about any of
the gangsters yanking you out of your ride because no one will.
Sometimes an incident would occur where this car would suddenly disappear at
a certain point, so it’s necessary to have a good visual on the car to
prevent it from disappearing.
Now once all of Heston’s men are dead and your assignment has terminated, the
cars would be unlocked and unstuck, just get in the Cavalcade and save it in
your garage.

10.12: BULLETPROOF DUKES 2 0f 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Street of Rage
Character : Wade Hesston
Location : Industrial
Difficulty : 2 or 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass or fail mission
Mission Script: No Wanted Level
At the point where you have approached the Steinway tollbooth
where the gunfight is, your wanted level would be frozen.
Cops will be around some places but won’t get alerted by your
commission of felony. This is exploitable from the part where
you’ve saved Heston’s men at the tollbooth gunfight.
Pedestrian and vehicle traffic are normal.
Apart from the bulletproof Cavalcades, there would be two bulletproof Dukes
as well that are obtainable from this mission. Among the three that can be
found, the only normal car is the one nearest the tollbooth.
In a similar case as with the Cavalcade, this car would be locked and stuck
during the gunfight. They can be driven only after you’ve saved Heston’s men
or have failed your task.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Start the mission, drive over to Steinway tollbooth and take out the
gangsters. After all the enemies are dead, the cars would all be unlocked and
can be driven already. If by this time you’ve already acquired the Cavalcade,
then get in the Dukes and drive it to your garage first, store it there
before you proceed with saving Heston.
Now if you haven’t obtained any of the bulletproof cars yet at this point and
would like to get both the Dukes and the Cavalcade, first thing you have to
do is to drive them alternately towards your safe houses, store them
separately in the garage and then go back to your mission of saving Heston.
After you’re done with the task and Heston has been saved, your bulletproof
cars would remain in the garage.
METHOD 2 (GTA_Loco)
If at this point you’ve already acquired the Cavalcade, then all that remains
to be acquired is the Dukes. You can pass the mission on this occasion.
Do the mission as normal, drive over to Steinway tollbooth kill all the
enemies before Heston’s men are wiped out. After your adversaries are dead,
get in the Dukes and save it first in your nearest garage.
Proceed with saving Heston from his captivity to complete your task.
*****************************************************************************
10.13: BULLETPROOF COGNOSCENTI
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Grave Situation
Character : Rudy D’Avanzo
Location : Steinway
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass or Fail mission
Mission Script: No Wanted Level
From the beginning of your assignment the cops are present
but won’t take any actions against you absolutely, pedestrian
and vehicle traffic is normal as well. It is exploitable, but
only from the point where you’ve already taken out all the
mobsters.
Scenario:
You will meet up with Italian mobster Rudy in a graveyard to discuss
something about a rat named Jimmy Capra. You and him will end up being locked
by Jimmy’s goons inside the graveyard, where you’ll find yourselves
outnumbered and surrounded by his men. You have to protect Rudy from the
attackers until you can get out of the place using the north side gate.
There will be a navy blue Cognoscenti waiting for him at the exit, which is
actually a bulletproof car. Now the only way out is to either go around the
cemetery’s perimeter wall and jump over another one in the opposite
direction, swim in the waters or via the path you and Rudy are supposed to
take.
Rudy would only take the programmed path and won’t follow you, and you can't
leave him behind without killing all the enemies first. You will fail the
mission if he gets killed and his bulletproof car would disappear. It’s
therefore necessary that you must fight your way through the melee, until
you've taken out all the gangsters and have reached the exit.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
As you find yourself surrounded at the start of the gunfight, kill all the
goons by any means necessary while protecting Rudy. Now once you're done with
the gangsters, Rudy will stand by the exit waiting for you, but do not
approach him yet or the mission will end with him driving away in the
bulletproof car, hence you won’t get it. Instead, head to where the Hearse is
parked, and since the Cognoscenti car would be locked, use the Hearse to push
the bulletproof Cognoscenti to your garage first before you must conclude the
mission.
Be careful when attempting to push the car away from where it is. There's a
spot on the pavement in front of the exit gate that when you step or drive
into would conclude the mission. And if you haven't obtained the car yet, you
will never have it given Rudy will drive it away at the end.
But if by some miscalculations you managed to push it out of the spot and
accidentally triggered the end scene, don’t worry, as you’re still good to
go. The car would simply be duplicated for as long as it isn’t in the exact
same spot, so there’s going to be one for each of you and Rudy, both having
the same special properties.
However, since this mission is a no wanted level one, it would be best to
just obtain the car during the mission so that you won’t have any problem
with the authorities in case you figure in an accident that would alert them.
*****************************************************************************
10.14: BULLETPROOF COMET
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Salt In the Wound
Character : Wade Heston
Location : Steinway
Difficulty : 5
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
In some locations however, the conditions is almost a No
Wanted. Pedestrian and vehicle traffic is very minimal.
Scenario:
It’s time for Huang to know the bitter truth about his father’s death from
the hands of the Wonshu assassins.
Heston will take you to a meeting between his agent and the true leader of
the Wonshu assassin who turned out to be none other than Wu “Kenny” Lee.
The situation would turn out complicated however, after IAD enforcers also
showed up at the scene to apprehend everyone.
Kenny would then try to escape by boat so you and Heston must chase him all
the way to Hsin’s place in Little Italy. Part of his escape plan also
involves driving a getaway Comet waiting for him at Colony Island, at the big
parking lot where your safe house is also located.
Now the car is comprehensiveproof before Kenny reaches Hsin’s place, but it
won’t spawn until you have triggered the boat chase and have reached Colony
Island by boat. However, by the time you’ve entered the boat chase part, you
will be stuck riding behind the seacraft where you’ll be restricted to
shooting only at the enemies.
If you follow the normal course of action, once you reach Colony Island Kenny
would always get in the Comet first in the short cut scene before you can
even make a step towards it. To obtain the bulletproof Comet you must beat
Kenny to the car, drive it away and fail the mission by leaving Heston
behind. And the trick to that, is to sort of “glitch” the script.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Before you do this mission, you must’ve bought already the safe house at
Colony Island. This is where you must quickly save the car given that as soon
as you, Heston and Kenny reach the place, you will be slapped with a four
stars wanted level.
Now assuming you own the said safe house already, start the mission as normal
until you reach the boat chase part. When you reach this point do not step
into the yellow marker, but instead, you must DRIVE into it. Get in any small
sea craft like a wet ski or a dinghy, or in any small car. Drive the vehicle
into the yellow marker and from this point, expect your gameplay to
temporarily glitch.
After the short cut scene showing Kenny escaping, Heston would “leave you
behind” riding in the vehicle you drove on the marker while the chase
scenario would strangely proceed even without you supposedly riding at the
back of the boat. The scene would locked on Heston alone riding in the boat
while being defenselessly attacked by the enemies along the way without your
control on what’s happening. You’ll have to wait until Heston reaches Colony
Island.
Now once Heston has reached the destination, Kenny would be there just
standing at the dock. The cut scene will show Heston and yourself
(surprisingly appearing here when you’re supposed to have been left behind)
instead of Kenny moving ahead to the parking lot. After the scene, make a mad
rush at the parked Comet and quickly get in it before Kenny does.
Quickly drive away, go around the block and leave Heston behind to fail the
mission. Be warned however that your four stars wanted level would remain, so
you must quickly store the car to you Colony Island garage and then save the
game.
Now here’s some more good news: apart from the bulletproof Comet, you will
also obtain the minigun with an infinite ammo after you’ve glitched the
mission! This trick would temporarily screw up your weapons selection, but
simply RELOAD the game after you’ve saved and everything will return back to
normal, the minigun with an infinite ammo now in your arsenal.

11. EXCLUSIVE COLOR VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
An exclusive color is one that is an extra, or an addition to a given set of
limited colors available for a particular type of vehicle, and one that is
applied in only one or in some cases on a few of the given vehicle among the
rest in its type. For example, a Cognoscenti car does not have a violet color
in its set, so in an instance where a violet one may appear, this is
classified as a car with an exclusive color.
This section is dedicated to those vehicles that do not have any other
extraordinary qualities other than having exclusive paintjobs.
*****************************************************************************
11.01: VIOLET COGNOSCENTI
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Pursuit Farce
Character : Wu “Kenny” Lee
Location : Cerveza Heights
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: Low Wanted Level
At the start of the mission before you pick up Ling, only
one star is enforced. After that part, you get slapped with a
maximum of 2 stars only. First stage can be exploited.
Pedestrian and vehicle traffic is normal, police presence is
normal.
Scenario:
As with all games, the first few missions would normally involve specific
tutorials on how to go about some game mechanics and this mission from Kenny
Lee is a tutorial on how to use the GPS in your PDA and a few basics on
police evasion.
Your task is to fetch one of Kenny Lee’s crew using his Cognoscenti car, and
the situation will eventually end up in a police bust. You have to lose your
wanted level and once you’ve done so, you must drive your accomplish back to
the safe house.
Kenny’s Cognoscenti has a nice violet color that can’t be obtained from a Pay
N Spray and is a special one for this type of car. The only catch here is you
have to fail the mission because it would be driven away by Ling at the end.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
The forced duplication technique of a mission-specific vehicle mentioned in
the section about garage facts must be applied here.
When you start the mission, immediately dive to your garage once you’re in
control of the car already. Store this in the garage by employing the
chevrons bypass technique, given that the chevrons would reject this for as
long as the mission is on. After the car is securely inside already, try to
retrieve the car.
Once you get in it, in most instances the original car would block the
duplicate car that you’d retrieve resulting in your getting trapped inside
the garage once the garage door closes. At this point, you have to destroy
the original car by any means necessary, with any weapon at your disposal,
but be careful not to waste yourself in the process.
After the car is destroyed, the mission will fail and all you have to do is
restart the mission once prompted to get yourself out of the garage. But do
so before the restart period expires or you’ll be trapped inside for good.
When you go back again in the mission, just complete your task and you will
still find the car safely stored in your garage.
*****************************************************************************
11.02: CHAN'S BANSHEE 1 of 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Jackin Chan
Character : Chan Jaoming
Location : East Island City
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:
Chan has been kidnapped by a group of gangsters and he’s being held somewhere
at the docks; your help is required, but there’s a time limit for your
rescue. As you approach the location, the situation would turn out literally
fiery in that Chan’s car with him onboard would be set ablaze by one of the
rival gangsters. You must put out the fire before Chan could perish and then
drive him back to his place.
Chan’s car is a Banshee that’s special in terms of its color schemes. This is
the first of only two occasions where you can have the chance of acquiring it
for your collection.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Do the mission until you reach the docks and trigger the part where Chan’s
car is torched. Quickly head for the firetruck that would spawn somewhere
without delay and steal it. Next is to head back as fast as you can to where
the burning vehicles are, douse all the fires to save Chan from dying.
When given the instruction to drive Chan back to his place, do not follow
this or you will never get the car in that this would be kept inside his
garage. So in this regards you must fail the mission to obtain it.
Unfortunately, the only workable method to fail the mission is to either
waste yourself or get busted while the car is in your garage. Why? You can
apply the forced duplication trick on this one but you won’t be able to
retrieve the mission car, neither would you be able to get yourself trapped
inside the garage in order to fail the task by destroying it. This would
paralyze your game. Drive-by shooting it while the garage door is open won’t
guarantee its destruction, so you’ll just eventually end up resorting to
sacrificing yourself to fail the mission.
So if for any reasons it’s just okay with you to die for the sake of this
exclusively colored car, as soon as you’re in control of the Banshee, go to
your nearest safe house and store this in the garage using the chevrons
bypass method. Once the car is inside already, just find ways to commit
suicide. This might be a better option as at least you still get to keep your
weapons.
Check your garage after you respawn in the hospital, Chan’s Banshee would
still be there.
If you find this a bad option because you’re aiming for a zero bust, zero
waste stats, then you should just wait until the last mission for Chan where
you’ll have another opportunity to owning this car.
*****************************************************************************
11.03: BLACK BURRITO WITH SUNROOF
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Cash and Burn
Character : Zhou Ming
Location : Fishmarket South
Difficulty : 4
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass mission
Mission Script: Felony Allowed
As soon as you go inside the construction site and prompted
to incinerate the crates, cops would disappear from the
environment. There are absolutely no constraining factors to
your actions, therefore this is exploitable. The only
condition here is, if you’ve raised some wanted level before
you reach this stage, cops would still be present and would
try to bust you in the normal way. Pedestrian and vehicle
traffic is normal.
Scenario:
As part of Zhou’s retaliation against the Irish group who’ve taken more and
more of the stores under his protection, he will instruct you to burn all
their building materials in a construction yard.
As you start incinerating a couple of them, the site’s protection would be
alerted prompting a group of armed men in Burrito vans responding to your
attack. The vans that they’d be driving have a black paintjob that isn’t its
regular color plus it has a sunroof that isn’t a normal feature of this
vehicle.
This kind of van can sometimes be found as a drug van that you can steal,
driving in certain locations.
METHOD 1(GTA_Loco)
Start the mission, pick up the flamethrower from the Hellenbach car, make
your way to the site. Open the locked door and start incinerating the
supplies. Once you’ve done so on two of them, gangsters riding in black
Burritos would arrive at the location to stop you.
Kill the responding gangsters and then turn your attention to their abandoned
van by the gate. Steal it, proceed to your Lower Easton safe house, and apply
the chevron bypass technique to store the van in the garage. This van is a
vehicle connected to the mission that can’t be kept in the garage during this
time.
Do not worry about interrupting what you’re doing to take care of the van.
There are no constraints in your task, no time limit, no location
restrictions, so you can have your sweet time with acquiring the Burrito.
After you’re done storing the van, go back to the construction site and
finish your task.
METHOD 2(GTA_Loco)
As you enter the construction site to start burning all the 18 supplies,
continue doing so until you reach the 18th crate. Take out the opposing
gangsters every time they come in your way.
When you’re on the last supply however, don’t burn it yet. Instead, head over
to the gate where the gangsters have parked their Burrito vans, steal one of
them and drive over to where the last supply is. Get off your ride and finish
off the last crate.
Mission passed, just save the Black Burrito van to your garage.
*****************************************************************************
11.04: BRIGHT GREEN ANGEL
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Fandom Menace
Character : Zhou Ming
Location : East Island city
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass or Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:
The paparazzis are it again in their usual annoying ways of hounding people
around for some photos. But this time, their subject of interest would be
Zhou, whom they’ll hound all throughout the trip when you’re supposed to be
driving for him to pick up some of his acquaintances. Your assignment here is
to make sure you deal harshly with those pests or else you’ll fail the
mission.
These paparazzis would be riding in Angel bikes and some of these would have
one that has a bright green color. This is something special for this
motorbike in that the only green available for this bike has a darker shade.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
As you begin the mission, at least three of the paparazzis would immediately
appear to take pictures of Zhou. If by chance the bright green Angel shows up
right away at this point, kill the biker as well as the others whom may have
taken some incriminating photos of Zhou, and then drive the bike first to
your nearest garage.
Now head back to where you left Zhou and just proceed with your normal task.
If you didn’t find the Angel bike you’re seeking, just go on with your
assignment of driving Zhou around some destinations until the bike shows up
since a few more paparazzis would be hounding your group along the way.
*****************************************************************************
11.05: LIGHT BLUE PEYOTE
*****************************************************************************
Mission : See No Evil
Character : Lester Leroc
Location : Beachwood City
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass mission
Mission Script: Felony Allowed
From the very start of the mission, as long as you don’t
follow Lester and trigger the escort part. Pedestrian and
vehicle traffic is normal, police presence is zero.
Scenario:
For the last time Lester will need your help again. This time, you have to
escort him and Meredith to her apartment, so basically you’ll be playing the
role of a bodyguard here.
The car Lester would be driving has a light blue color that isn’t regular for
the Peyote.
METHOD 1(GTA_Loco)
Start the mission, escort Lester and Meredith, and kill all the bikers who
would try to attack them. Be careful not to arouse Meredith’s suspicion or
you’ll fail the mission and the car would be gone.
After you’ve successfully escorted them to the apartment, take out all the
other bikers to complete the mission. The car would be unlocked, just drive
it to your garage and save it there.
*****************************************************************************
11.06: CHAN'S BANSHEE 2 of 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Clear the Pier
Character : Chan Jaoming
Location : Hove Beach
Difficulty : 5
Source : Reconite
Required : Pass mission
Mission Script: No Wanted Level
From the very start of the mission, no cops would be around
and your penalty is zero. This is unexploitable however in
that you’re restricted to be within the pier. If you attempt
to go further away from the place, Chan would escape and
you’ll fail the mission. Pedestrian and vehicle traffic is
normal.
Scenario:
Poor Chan, his time to bite the dust has finally come.
You were made to believe that he is responsible for the death of your father,
so now you think it’s the right time for revenge so you must hunt him down to
serve justice.
As you reach the part where you confront Chan, he will try to escape from you
riding in his Banshee, the last time you’d encounter this exclusively colored
car.
METHOD 1(GTA_Loco)
This is going to be one hell of a massive gunfight that’s why you must be
fully armed to the teeth inclusive of the special ability to re-generate your
health.
When you begin the mission, work your way through a multitude of Chan’s armed
crew until you’ve taken out all of them. Do not try to short cut this task by
simply going around the place in the hope that Chan would be at the other end
of the warehouse where he should be when you confront him. He won’t be there
so you might just end up aborting the mission without any Banshee in
possession. Just go through the normal route as dictated by the script.
At the point where you’ve confronted him face to face, Chan will attempt to
drive away in his Banshee so you must chase him before he manages to escape.
Get in the Comet parked nearby and chase Chan. Once you’ve intercepted him,
try to pin down his car against a wall where you can get him stuck. If you
manage to do this, quickly get off your car and yank him out of the Banshee.
Kill him to pass the mission. The Banshee would remain where it was, so just
drive it to your garage and save.
*****************************************************************************
11.07: CHROME YELLOW BURRITO
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Riding Shotgun
Location : Purgatory
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: No Wanted Level
Absolutely no cops would be around throughout the time you’re
blowing up your targets. The conditions however are quite
difficult to exploit, in that you can’t leave the Bobcat for
too long and that your task is timed to only 2 minutes.
Rivals would also constantly attack you. Pedestrian and
vehicle traffic is zero.
Scenario:
This is the target van you’re supposed to destroy to earn points in a rampage
called “Riding Shotgun”. There’s only a pale yellow shade that’s regularly
available for this type of vehicle, and the van in mention here has a richer
yellow that makes it a special color.
Now the deal here is, if you want to collect this, then you must cancel the
mission once you see the van given that the objective of your task is to
destroy it.
Prior to doing the rampage however, make sure that you’ve already bought the
Meat Quarter safe house since this has a garage and is the nearest to the
location which makes it ideal for obtaining the van. The Burrito will be
locked and there will be a couple of armed gangsters onboard.
Note that his van is also one of the drug vans that you can steal driving
around in certain location in free roam.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
As soon as you obtain the side mission by riding in a Bobcat parked inside a
fenced area in Purgatory, look for the target Burrito van that goes in the
direction of your Meat Quarter safe house. Allow your armed henchman to take
out the attacking gangsters, but be careful not to get too close to the
Burrito van or he’ll destroy it too. Just keep a good visual on it from a
safe distance.
Cancel the mission immediately once it’s near your safe house assuming the
van took this direction. It will still continue to drive away after that, so
you must stop it in anyway possible before it drives farther away. Be warned
though that it has two armed occupants so you must watch out for these guys.
Scare off the driver with a melee weapon given that the van is locked or try
to trap it somewhere. At a certain point the occupants would get off, grab
this opportunity to quickly push it away using your vehicle towards your safe
house. If one of the goons tries to attack you, dispose of him in any way
possible that won’t attract police attention.
Apply the chevron bypass method to push the Burrito in the garage and save
it.
*****************************************************************************
11.08: YELLOW AND GREEN BURRITO
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Excess Delivery
Location : Middle Park East & Industrial
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail or pass mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:
Your task is to pick up some packages one at a time from different designated
locations and deliver them to clients. However, you will be in violent
competition with some rival groups who will take an interest as well with
those packages.
Your opponents would be riding in different Burrito vans, one of which has a
yellow and green color. These are special and can’t be altered as well.
METHOD 1(GTA_Loco)
Begin the mission by riding in the Alphamail van. Do your task as normal,
pick up the package and deliver it to a client. Rival gangs in different
Burrito vans would appear along the way to try and stop you so be wary of
them. As you pick up the last package, don’t deliver it yet.
Look for the yellow and green Burrito van and when you see it, snatch it from
its occupants and drive it to your safe house. Don’t worry about leaving
behind your vehicle, the mission won’t fail by doing this. Now the garage
would reject the yellow and green van, so you must apply the chevron bypass
technique.
After you’ve stored the van, head back for the Alphamail and go for the last
package. Deliver it to complete the mission.

11.09: WHITE AND BLUE BURRITO
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Riding Shotgun
Location : Beachwood City
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail or pass mission
Mission Script: No Wanted Level
As with all Riding Shotgun missions, absolutely no cops would
be around but conditions are quite difficult to exploit.
Pedestrian and vehicle traffic is zero.
Scenario:
In basically similar objective as with all the other “Riding Shotgun”
rampages, the target van you’re supposed to destroy here has a white top and
blue bottom.
Now the deal here also is, if you want to collect this, then you must cancel
the mission once you see the van given that the objective of your task is to
destroy it.
METHOD 1(GTA_Loco)
Once you obtain the side mission by riding in a Bobcat parked in a location
at Beachwood City, chase the target Burrito van, but try to drive to the
vicinity of your nearest safe house to facilitate your acquisition of the
Burrito.
Allow your armed henchman to take out the attacking gangsters, but be careful
not to get too close to the Burrito van or he’ll destroy it too. Just keep a
good visual on it from a safe distance.
Cancel the mission immediately once it’s near your safe house assuming a van
spawned going to that direction. It will still continue to drive away after
that, so you must stop it in anyway possible before it drives farther away.
Be warned though that it has two armed occupants so you must watch out for
these guys.
Apply the chevron bypass method to push the Burrito in the garage and save
it.

on police evasion. After you complete the GPS instructions to plot your route
to Ling’s place, a series of yellow arrows would appear on the road, which is
what you’re supposed to follow to your destination.
If you’ll follow those directional guides as instructed, as you turn left to
the main road you’ll encounter a funeral convoy for some mobster driving down
the road. Among the four cars that are in this convoy is a limo, which has a
special black color.
For some reasons, all of the cars in this convoy are contact sensitive.
Obtaining the Limo makes it an extremely pain the ass task that would
therefore require a tremendous amount of patience. It might not be worth it
at all to obtain this car from this mission as you can also find this always
parked at Hsin’s place. But if you want to get this from the mission for
whatever it’s worth, then you must prepare yourself for a difficult task
ahead.
METHOD 1(InfiniteChaos)
Do the mission until the point where you’re instructed to follow the yellow
arrows. As you turn left to the main road, slightly ahead of you is a convoy
of cars that includes a Hearse, Limo, Cognoscenti and Turismo.
Follow the convoy but do not make any attempt at letting your car have a
physical contact with any of the cars in the convoy. The slightest bump you
make on any one of them will send all of them speeding away in different
directions. This would make it difficult then to push the Limo to the garage.
They would be locked also so the Limo in particular can’t simply be snatched
from its driver. Attacking any of them with a weapon is also out of the
question as this would end in the same result without the driver getting off
the car.
What needs to be done is to resort to a two-car push. But before you do this,
you must carefully follow the cars first until they make a stop at Schottler
before reaching the South Slopes roundabout.
Once they do so, get off your mission vehicle and steal another small car.
You need a second car that must serve as a buffer between whatever car you
will use for pushing and the Limo. This way, the Limo won’t acknowledge the
contact as coming from your car thereby preventing the Limo from getting
scared.
Now park the buffer car near the Limo, but be very careful not to bump into
it. Get off the buffer car and then steal another one that you must use for
pushing. Start pushing the buffer car until it connects with the Limo in the
process and you’re pushing both of them. Push them to your nearest safe
house, but whatever you do, never bump into any of the other cars or the Limo
itself during the process. If the buffer car moves out of position, just get
fix it but without touching the Limo directly with the car you’re driving.
The other difficult part would be when you reach the garage. Since you must
apply the chevrons bypass technique and given that the chevrons are sensitive
to the number of cars activating them, you have to abandon using the buffer
car and make a direct contact instead on the Limo. But thing is, by doing
this you would alert the driver and it would try to escape.
It would be best if you can do it in your Cerveza Heights safe house which
has considerable enclosure that would prevent the car from easily escaping.
If you manage to store the car, just proceed with the mission and complete
it.
METHOD 1(GTA_Loco)
An alternative to the two-car push is to fail the mission by destroying
Kenny’s car.
Once you have control of Kenny’s car, shoot at it until it is just a few hits
away from getting destroyed.
Now follow the GPS route until you encounter the convoy. Wait until they stop
somewhere, and then at this point, crash Kenny’s car until it goes on fire.
Quickly get off the car and stand beside the Limo. Once Kenny’s car explodes,
the mission will fail and the cars in the convoy will attempt to drive away.
Hit the Limo repeatedly with a melee weapon and since the car is not in a
mission script anymore, the driver will eventually get off and run away. The
car however will remain locked so you must steal another car that must be
used for pushing it to your nearest garage. Just be careful not to alert the
cops.
Apply the chevrons bypass technique, and save the Limo.

11.13: BLACK DUKES 1 of 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Free roam
Location : Industrial & Purgatory
Difficulty : 3 or 5
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : None
Mission Script: Normal
This is Heston’s car that can be found parked in two locations. One is at a
parking lot in Purgatory west of your Star Junction safe house near a drug
dealer named Matze, and the other one is at a building that’s part of the
Eugenics warehouse in Industrial where Heston was based from the missions
“Tow Job” until “Operation Northwood”.
The black color from the Pay N Spray is more like a Dark Gray and is thus
lighter than the black of Heston’s car which makes the paintjob special.
*****************************************************************************
11.14: BLACK DUKES 2 of 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Salt in the Wound
Character : Wade Heston
Location : Steinway
Difficulty : 1
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Pass or Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:
You and Heston are about to meet Kenny and his men at the desalination plant
in Charge Island. This car would be your ride to the location though this is
optional. For you to keep it for what it’s worth, you have the choice of
either passing or failing the mission.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Obtain the mission at Steinway, and once you see the car parked on the road,
drive it away to your garage first and then jack another car and take
Hestonwith you to the desalination plant.
Complete the mission and just keep the car.

12. RARE VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Considered “rare” here are vehicles that do not have any special properties
and their presence is mostly mission-specific only.
If you come to think of it, all the special vehicles (armored, exclusively
colored, etc.) are actually rare in nature, in that they have qualities or
presence in free roam or in missions that are uncommon, unusual or
extraordinary.
However, this list would mainly involve those that have no armoring or
special paintjobs but which can’t be found driving around the cities.

12.01: RESOLUTION X 1 OF 5
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Wheelman
Character : Wu “Kenny”Lee
Location : Cerveza Heights
Difficulty : 2
Source :
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:
Kenny would instruct you to steal some fast cars for his boss’ son Chan, as a
personal favor for him. You have to find three cars and deliver them to the
Auto Merchant in Boabo within a time limit, and the one parked at a Pay N
Spray is this nice sports car.
METHOD 1
The key to obtaining this car is to fail the mission given that you’re
required to stash this car at the Auto Merchant.
So when you start your task, head over quickly to where the Resolution X is
located. Get in the car, hotwire it or just bypass the security system, and
then just wait until your time expires. If you’re impatient and can’t wait
for the time, drive over to where another car is, destroy it to fail the
mission.
*****************************************************************************
12.02: RESOLUTION X 2 OF 5
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Pimp His Ride
Character : Chan Jaoming
Location : East Island City
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:
Seems like Chan sucks at racing that’s why he needs to cheat in order to win
in an upcoming street race. For that to happen, he’ll ask you to steal a
racing champion’s car and modify it to sabotage its performance.
The racing champion’s car happens to be the second appearance in a storyline
mission of the Resolution X car, a good chance to own it if you can’t be
bothered to obtain it in some other ways. Thing is, you must fail the mission
given that this would be taken away by a tow truck at the end.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Do the mission as normal, go to the racing champion’s place and carefully
follow him once he drives to the Pay N Spray. You have a time limit of only
six minutes to bring this car to Chan’s place for the modifications and back
again to where you took it before the tow truck take this away. But you need
not worry about that since you have to fail the mission anyways.
So ss soon as the car is unattended after it parks at the Pay N Spray, get in
it and use the Pay N Spray to advance the time. This will fail the mission,
but who cares?
Just drive this to your garage and save.

know if this would be involved in said activity simply by checking on the car
type data.
METHOD 1
Get in any law enforcer vehicle and press “Select” to access the police
database. Look for street racing and check if the car involved is this one.
If you find this, start hunting down the suspects.
As soon as you see this car, kill its occupants. The other suspects riding in

Go through the gate and you should turn about two times if you follow the
road. Then, you should encounter a straight road with some turns. After the
first left turn, continue straight slowly and look to the left. You should
see a rather small pathway in between a couple of houses that would contain a
Turismo. But sometimes, parked in front of it also would be a Resolution X.
If not there, just move away from the area and come back again. You will need
to hot-wire the car, so do so if you want.

three cars Kenny would like you to steal for Chan.
You can find this parked at a gas station unlocked and much easier to steal
than the others. However, you must ignore the time limit to fail this mission
given that you need to leave this in the Auto Merchant.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Start the mission, and look for this car first. Once you see it, get in and
drive to the nearest Pay N Spray. Drive this inside to advance the time by
six hour in-game time. Your time will run out and fail your task.
Just save this to any of your garage and save yourself $1,100.

Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:

others riding in this MK GT9 would appear and attack both of you along the
way to Chan’s place.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Start the mission as normal until you come to the point where you have to
save Chan.
As soon as you drive down the road, expect some attacks from the other
members of the group that held Chan, riding in this sports car. Drive first
to your Cerveza Heights safe house where you can safely leave Chan while you
try to snatch one of this from the attacking gangsters.
The garage would also reject this car, so you must apply the chevron bypass
technique again assuming you managed to steal this from one of the attacking
goons.
When you have successfully stored this in the garage, drive Chan to his place
to complete the mission.

*****************************************************************************
12.20: FORMULA R 2 of 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : S&M Grand Slam race – Bohan Rally
Location : Chase Point
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Availability: After completing the mission “Whack the Racers”
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:
When you have unlocked the citywide races, you can find this car in the S&M
Grand Slam race – Bohan Rally. There will be three of this car as your racing
opponents.
You need to fail the race otherwise none of the racing cars would still be
around after you’ve won.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Start the race and head over to where the racing cars are. Do not race but
instead, just wait for the racing cars to stop at the finish line. But no
matter what happens, stay in your car until your racing opponents have come
back or else you might lose the race prematurely where you won’t find the
racing cars anymore.
As soon as you see them stop at the finish line, push any of them to your
nearest garage using the vehicle you’re driving. When you reach your place,
get off your ride and shoot at the driver. This would oust him from his ride
and at this point, quit the race.
The racing car won’t vanish from where it was left, just push it to your
garage using the chevrin bypass method. Save the car.
METHOD 2 (GTA_Loco)
Obtain the race from the location, get in any vehicle and head over to the
start grid. Start the race without necessarily competing; just wait until all
three of these cars stop at the finish line.
Now once your opponents have reached the finish line, approach any of them
and shoot at the driver. This would displace him but won’t necessarily kill
him nor fail the mission. This is necessary in that terminating the race with
the driver still in the car would prompt him to drive away which would make
obtaining it much more difficult. You won’t be able to yank out the driver
either as the car would be “locked”.
So from the point where the driver have been removed from his car, just quit
the race and the car would stay where it was. Using the vehicle you’re
driving, push it to your garage, apply the chevrons bypass and just save it.
*****************************************************************************
12.21: RED RECOVERY
*****************************************************************************
Mission : The Tow Job
Character : Wade Heston
Location : Industrial
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:
It’s time for Heston to cook up something against the Koreans that he doesn’t
like that much. His simple plan is to plant some drugs in one of their cars
and alert the cops about it. The car in question here will be on the back of
a Recovery truck.
The drugs have been planted in the car beforehand, and your task is to
intercept the tow truck, release the car from its back, raise your wanted
level to two stars and then park the car in front of the precinct.
Now what’s special about the tow truck has something to do with the fact that
Pay N Spray shops and the garages would accommodate it, something that’s not
possible under ordinary circumstances with trucks.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
You have to fail the mission to be able to recover the Recovery truck.
Following the instructions in the normal way would require that you leave the
tow truck behind consequently deleting it while you raise your wanted level
driving in the car.
When you get to the point where you see this, intercept the Recovery as soon
as it rolls down the road but do not fire at it to force the driver out. The
driver won’t get off easily so you might just eventually destroy the truck.
Using another vehicle, try to pin it against a wall or anywhere it can get
stuck. Once it’s trapped, quickly get off your ride and yank the driver out
since the door won’t be locked.
After you’re in control of the Recovery, go to a secluded place and release
the car from its back. When this is done, move the truck away while you
destroy the car in any way possible. Mission will fail; just drive the truck
to any of your garages and save it.
*****************************************************************************
12.22: DESTROYER BOAT
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Torpedo Run
Character : Wade Heston
Location : Industrial
Difficulty : 5
Source : jimmythesnowman
Required : Fail mission
Mission Script: Normal
Scenario:
Heston has plans on sabotaging Zhou’s operation by asking you to destroy his
boat that carries some supplies. In order to accomplish this you have to
steal a Destroyer boat armed with torpedoes docked at a police guarded
boatyard, and used this boat for the job.
Now this Destroyer boat would eventually have to be left behind at the
conclusion of a successful mission. So if you’re obtaining this boat for what
it’s worth, you have to abort your task while you’re in control of it. And
the only way to do it is to allow your target to escape.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Start the mission, steal the destroyer boat from where it is docked. Now head
over to the location of your target until you receive a message about its
presence in the vicinity.
Instead of chasing your target, head over to Saint Francis International
Airport, look for a spot where you can easily move this boat on dry land.
There may be other locations where you can do this, preferably if you can
find one that is very near a road where you can quickly steal a car that must
be used for pushing the boat to the garage.
Now it would be a much safer option if you can manage to perform all these
steps while the mission is active. The thing is, should you need to leave the
boat far behind while looking for a vehicle to jack, the boat won’t vanish.
Assuming you get the boat on dry land already and the mission has failed,
just push it to your nearest garage, apply the chevron bypass method and save
the boat.
The only problem here afterwards is how to get the boat out of the garage due
basically on two factors: 1) it doesn’t have wheels so it won’t just roll out
of the garage after you retrieve it and 2) Because of this you’d always get
trapped inside the garage once you get in the boat. This may end up just a
useless piece of junk stuck in your garage but if that won’t bother you at
all, then just keep it as part of your rare vehicle collection.
*****************************************************************************
12.23: BURNOUT BURRITO
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Steal roaming drug vans
Location : Liberty City
Difficulty : 1
Source : Mario Bones
Availability: After completing the mission “Carpe Dime”
Mission Script: Normal
All the Burrito and Angel drug vans that you’d find driving around the city
as well as the ones you can encounter in some odd jobs have the capability of
doing burnout which isn’t normal with the regular Burrito vans. You can start
finding these vans after you’ve completed the mission “Carpe Dime”.
Thanks to Mario Bones for bringing this to my attention.
METHOD 1 (Mario Bones)
For the drug vans, when you hijack one of them around Liberty City, take it
back to your safe house and take the drugs out. Now you can drive this
Burrito like a normal car.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
13. UNOBTAINABLE SPECIAL VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The following list includes vehicles that would have been exotic collections
had conditions been more favorable in acquiring them.
A significant factor considered to be the most glaring reason contributing to
the failure in obtaining many of them especially the comprehensiveproof ones,
particularly involves the garages’ inability of not keeping an excess in
armoring other than bulletproofing. Although there are other conditions that
would also prevent you from acquiring and or preserving some special
properties, the garage issue is on top of the list.
Most of the vehicles listed here are exactly the same ones in missions you
can absolutely obtain in a downgraded form as bulletproof.
*****************************************************************************
13.01: BULLETPROOF DUKES
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Payback
Character : Wu “Kenny” Lee
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : These are the couple of Dukes that you’re supposed to destroy
with a molotov parked inside walled premises. The gate is
locked as well as the cars, and even though there’s a low wall
on the other side of the premises, there’s absolutely no way you
can bring any vehicle in and push them out.
*****************************************************************************
13.02: BULLETPROOF RACING CARS
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Whack the Racers
Character : Chan Jaoming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : None of the three racing cars here can be saved in your garage.
They can be pushed there but their data wont’ be acknowledged,
so any time you complete or fail the mission they would
disappear afterwards.
*****************************************************************************
13.03: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF TRIAD COMET
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Jackin Chan
Character : Chan Jaoming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : If you didn’t trigger the cut scene at the docks where it shows
this car being blown up with a molotov by the enemies and wait
long enough, Chan’s car would be blown up instead consequently
failing the mission. This car will remain intact, but problem
is, it will be stuck on the ground and can’t be move whatever
you do.
*****************************************************************************
13.04: BULLETPROOF/EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF VEHICLES
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Stealing the Show
Character : Zhou Ming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : The vehicles included here are the Style SR, Limo, Dukes,
Blista, Police Car, Yankee and Bus. While the mission is on, for
some reasons all of these are BP/EP/FP. But once you store them
in the garage, in or out of the mission, only the bulletproofing
would be retained.
Since all the vehicles that can be found in the background while
you’re on the back of the truck are bulletproof, all the others
then that you’ll see but can’t be obtained while you’re stuck
throwing crates to Zhou are theoretically bulletproof also.
A Sultan, which can be seen slammed against another car when you
reach an alleyway near your South Slopes safe house, could’ve
been bulletproof too since you can already get off the truck by
then. But this car would disappear and will never spawn anywhere
once you jump off the truck.
*****************************************************************************
13.05: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF DUKES 1 OF 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Bomb Disposal
Character : Zhou Ming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : These are the three rigged cars that you must saved from getting
blown up. All throughout the mission they’ll be stuck on the
ground, without any means of releasing them. Passing the mission
would immediately cut to the scene showing one of them being
delivered to Zhou’s place, or allowing one of the cars to be
destroyed after you’ve disarmed one won’t unstuck any one of
them also.
*****************************************************************************
13.06: BULLETPROOF BURRITO
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Bomb Disposal
Character : Zhou Ming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : In the same mission where the CP Dukes are, the red Burrito van
carrying the triggering device is immune to bullets before you
disarm the bomb. They’re also stuck on the ground while the red
corona is appearing, but after you’ve disarmed the bomb it would
revert back to normal.
*****************************************************************************
13.07: HELICOPTER
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Copter Carnage
Character : Wu “Kenny” Lee
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : The aircraft isn’t solid. You can beat it to the helipad before
it lands there but you won’t be able to ride in it.
*****************************************************************************
13.08: DUKES WITH SIREN
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Raw Deal
Character : Zhou Ming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Heston and his men would appear in a cut scene at the end of the
mission driving black Dukes car with sirens on. Of course there
are no such cars under normal circumstances, so these ones are
different.
If you didn’t skip the cut scene, at least one of these cars can
be snatched from the driver. Although it would be locked, you
can just push it to your garage to unlock it. However, using the
garage on it would also delete the siren.
*****************************************************************************
13.09: EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF BOBCAT
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Driven To Destruction
Character : Zhou Ming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Zhou’s Bobcat is explosionproof and fireproof while he is
onboard, obviously as a temporary protection to both of you
from the expected explosions that can occur as he go about
shooting with his minigun. The garage however would always
removed both of these armoring at the end, even if you destroy
the Bobcat inside the garage while Zhou is riding at the back.
*****************************************************************************
13.10: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF CHAVOS 1 OF 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : The Tail Bagging the Dog
Character : Wade Heston
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Similar with most of the other vehicles, your target car would
be stuck on the ground if you fail the mission without driving
into the yellow marker allowing the time to expire.
However, proceeding with the assignment as normal would end up
with someone getting in the car immediately removing the special
properties.
*****************************************************************************
13.11: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF SPANISH LORDS DUKES
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Kenny Strikes Back
Character : Wu “Kenny” Lee
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : For some reasons, one of the several Dukes cars that would chase
you after you steal the van has a comprehensiveproof property.
But just like the others, only the bulletproof property can be
kept after you store the car in the garage.
*****************************************************************************
13.12: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF SPANISH LORDS BURRITO
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Free roam
Source : Carvasous
Reason : This is the van that you’re supposed to steal from the warehouse
for drugs. If you didn’t trigger the mission, it would be
comprehensiverpoof but not until you let the garage disables all
the armorings but it’s bulletproof property.
*****************************************************************************
13.13: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF CHAVOS 2 OF 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Weapons of Mass Distraction
Character : Wade Heston
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Your first target in this mission comprise a group of Chavos
cars that you must damage to provoke your enemies. Without
driving or stepping into the yellow marker that would trigger
the instructions to destroy them, these cars are indestructible.
But once you have triggered that part where a red arrow appears
above each of them, the cars would revert back to normal ones.
*****************************************************************************
13.14: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF DUKES 2 OF 2
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Street of Rage
Character : Wade Heston
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Again it’s the garage issue that’s the culprit here. The
obtainable bulletproof Dukes and Cavalcade are
comprehensiveproof before you let the garage touch them.
They may look banged up when you find them at the location but
they are actually comprehensiveproof.
*****************************************************************************
13.15: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF CAVALCADE
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Street of Rage
Character : Wade Heston
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Again it’s the garage issue that’s the culprit here. The
obtainable bulletproof Dukes and Cavalcade are
comprehensiveproof before you let the garage touch them.
They may look banged up when you find them at the location but
they are actually comprehensiveproof.
*****************************************************************************
13.16: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF CRUISER
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Sa-Boat-Age
Character : Chan Jaoming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Chan’s Cruiser is comprehensiveproof if you bypass any one of
the yellow markers that won’t trigger the ambush part. If you
fail the mission by doing so; Chan would stop at a certain point
and since the damage bar didn’t appear, the boat would remain
comprehensiveproof. But if you allow the ambush part to happen
where a damage bar appeared, the boat would return back to
normal.
Problem is, if you manage to keep it as comprehensiveproof, the
boat is sort of “locked” while Chan is onboard. You won’t be
able to snatch it from him nor push it to shore using another
boat.
*****************************************************************************
13.17: EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF ADMIRAL
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Fandom Menace
Character : Zhou Ming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : This is Zhou’s car you have to drive to pick up some people.
While the guys are onboard it, it is explosionproof and
fireproof probably to protect all of you from any explosion that
might occur when you have to shoot at the annoying paparazzi.
However, these special armoring would be removed if you fail
your mission by destroying it in the garage while Zhou and the
others are onboard.
*****************************************************************************
13.18: DESTROYER WITH TORPEDO
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Torpedo Run
Character : Wade Heston
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : This is the boat that you’re instructed to use to sink your
target. After you keep it in the garage or have failed the
mission, it would no longer be quipped with torpedoes.
*****************************************************************************
13.19: BULLETPROOF ZHOU BOAT
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Torpedo Run
Character : Wade Heston
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Your target here would be bulletproof all throughout the time
you’re supposed to sink it with torpedoes. You can steal this
boat from its skipper but your game would glitch. You won’t have
control on the boat and you’d just end up going around in
circles. At this point you’d be unable to dismount from it also
so you’ll just end up having to restart your game.
*****************************************************************************
13.20: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF BURRITO
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Torpedo Run
Character : Wade Heston
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : The van that you’re supposed to destroy to conclude your mission
here would be indestructible for as long a you didn’t trigger
the chase part. However, no matter what you try to do, the
immediate areas around this van are hot spots, so there’s no way
you can approach it without going to the chase part where this
van would return to a normal one.
*****************************************************************************
13.21: REEFER WITH HOOK
*****************************************************************************
Mission : So Near, Yet Sonar
Character : Zhou Ming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : In the mission where you are to salvage the supplies from the
sunken boat from an earlier mission, the Reefer boat that you
have to use will have a functional hook that can be used only
during the mission. It doesn’t keep said boat feature after you
finish your task.
*****************************************************************************
13.22: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF COGNOSCENTI
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Grave Situation
Character : Rudy D’Avanzo
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Rudy’s obtainable bulletproof car is comprehensiveproof before
storage in the garage. But whatever you resort into to preserve
the special properties would always end up keeping only the
bulletproofing.
*****************************************************************************
13.23: GUMSHOE
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Scrambled
Character : Wade Heston
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : On the two occasions that you’ll find this unique van,
conditions wouldn’t allow you to steal it.
The first time is when it will be stuck on the ground, and on
the second encounter you’ll find this driving around but
with Huang not responding to the X button press for some
reasons if you manage to get close to it. And on both occasions,
you’re instructed to destroy the van.
If you attempt to push the mobile one towards your garage using
a bulletproof car, it would always try to speed away or it would
just eventually get destroyed because of constant crashing.
*****************************************************************************
13.24: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF CHOPPER
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Convoy Conflict
Character : Lester Leroc
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Before Lester could reach the docks, his motorbike is
indestructible. Although Huang won’t respond to the X button
press, this motorbike can still be obtained by destroying the
Sanchez to fail the mission. Lester would leave the bike then
where he was parked. Thing is, the garage would again remove
practically all the armoring after you store it there.
You’ll get the same results if you try to force Lester inside
the garage and terminate the mission by getting wasted or
busted. Duplication won’t work also with the Chopper.
*****************************************************************************
13.25: EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF SANCHEZ
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Convoy Conflict
Character : Lester Leroc
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : This is the other motorbike involved in the same mission where
the CP Chopper can be found. As is the case with the latter, the
special would be removed by the garage after you pass or fail
the mission one way or another.
*****************************************************************************
13.26: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF ANGEL VAN
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Convoy Conflict
Character : Lester Leroc
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : Although the red and gray vans that you have to escort have a
damage bar and can be destroyed by the enemies, they are immune
from any of your weapons.
But they are locked and just can’t be pushed in a garage since
they’ll be mobile, or will spawn beside each other if you try to
block and trap one of them along the way.
If you try to obtain one of them while they’re stopped by at a
tennis court in the park, enemy gangsters would always appear to
attack the van leading to its destruction. Allowing one of them
to get destroyed would delete the other one in the end.
Passing the mission would make both of them disappear as well.
*****************************************************************************
13.27: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF ADMIRAL
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Evidence Dash
Character : Wade Heston
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : This is Heston’s car that is the object of your mission. Before
you get in it, it would be indestructible even though it has a
damage bar. But even if you push this all the way to any of your
garages and terminate the mission one way or another, it would
always revert back to a normal car.
Similarly as with the other vehicles, it’s the garage issue
that’s the culprit here.
*****************************************************************************
13.28: COGNOSCENTI WITH SIREN
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Evidence Dash
Character : Wade Heston
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : As with the case of the Dukes with a siren, the siren this car
has is mission-specific only. It will be removed after you keep
the car in the garage.
*****************************************************************************
13.29: BULLETPROOF HELICOPTER
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Hit from the Tong
Character : Hsin Jaoming
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : In your final encounter with Zhou where he’ll be airborne in a
helicopter while you’re trying to finish him off, Zhou’s
aircraft is immune from bullet but you won’t be able to steal it
from him at any time. The mission will only conclude once you
have destroyed his helicopter, but it would disappear by then.
*****************************************************************************
13.30: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF COMET
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Salt In the Wound
Character : Wu “Kenny” Lee
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : The getaway car of Kenny in this mission would be a super
indestructible one, but again, not until the garage would turn
it into a bulletproof only.
*****************************************************************************
13.31: EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF VEHICLES
*****************************************************************************
Mission : Recruitment Drive / Random Characters
Characters : Giorgio, Wilhelm, Guy, Alonso, Selma and Marcy
Source : GTA_Loco
Reason : There are instances when you’d acquire protection from explosion
and fire when doing some tasks as part of the mission script.
The “Recruitment Drive” mission for one would give you the
ability to create an explosionproof and fireproof vehicle, while
the random characters will do this to any vehicle that you’d
drive for them when they get in physical contact with the
vehicle.
However, in both cases, the garage wouldn’t keep the special
properties.
