This guide lists all of the Equipments details. Bonuses, Cost etc.
Here's a little overview on each item.

For characters....

And for the bonuses details....

AUTO = If you accidentally missed a note, equipping auto will save you
      from breaking and maintain your combo. Use it for XC missions
      or hard songs.

FEVER = Fever boosts in the fever gauge. This is only for the beginning
       of the song or the 1st song in an XC Mission.

TECH = Increases the health you regain.

DEFUP = This feature is bugged. It is to helps you to lose less health
       than the original, but it increases more lost health points.
       Should not be used.

EXP = Increases the amount of EXP you gain. Strangely, this feature is
     bugged also. If you have EXP +30% bonus, your gaining EXP is only
     10-15%.

GOLD = Increases the amount of GOLD you gain. Again, this is bugged. If
      you got GOLD +30% bonus, your gaining GOLD is only 3-5%.

Q: What are your recommended characters?
A: If you want to survive a hard song, use Junghye or Dr. Storm.
  If you want to score higher, use L, NB Mask or Mars.
  If you want to max combo a song without auto, use any character
  that does not have Auto bonus.

Q: What are your recommended notes?
A: If you want simplicity, you can use MagicalPET, BlackSteel or
  StarCapsule or Basic.
  If you want bonuses, you can use Meteor, YoungBird or Jewel.

Q: What are your recommended gears?
A: If you want to read the notes easier, buy a wide span gear, like
  NB Ranger Gear.
  If you want to S-Rank or survive a song, use higher HP gears
  like the Method Gear or MysticForest Gear.

Q: What is your setup?
A: I choose different, so if you wanna know what's my main, then
  by all means...

Character: Dr.Storm (Auto +8)
Gear: NB Ranger (Exp +15%, Fever +50%)
Note: MagicalPET (Exp +3%, Gold +3%)

And the stats...

HP: 69
Exp: +18%
Gold: +3%

Q: Is there any other way to unlock the equips?
A: There are three options.
 -Unlock it the way it was meant to be.
 -Unlocking through Play Counts.
 -Using CWCheat, which is NOT recommended.

Q: Do I need to unlock all equips to get a 100% Complete save?
A: Yes.
