1.MY OPINION
Alright, lets get the obvious out of the way. SPORTS GAMES USUALLY SUCK. They
suck harder than an aardvark on steroids. But this game is in the small
percentage of good sports games.
This isn't a bad tennis game (keeping in mind that it was probably one of the
first tennis games ever.)
The graphics are typical atari 2600,vey basic and everything made up of blocks.
The same with the sound, basic beeps and bangs. However, with the Atari 2600
it's all about the gameplay. And this game has a lot of it. It is very fun,
especially in multiplayer. So I recomend this game.
2.GAME BASICS
Here I give you some basic infomation about the game,Like stuff you'd mostly
stuff you find in the instruction manual for Tennis. But hey,Who can be
bothered reading 'em?
i.CONTROLS
Up- Move upwards
Down- Move downwards
Left- Move Left
Right-Move right
Fire- Serve*
*You only need to press this button to serve. Otherwise you hit the ball
automatically.
ii.CHARACTERS
You play as Purple guy.
Your opponent plays as blue guy.
They are both exactly the same.
iii.SCORING
In this game you have to win 2 sets to win a match
You have to win 6 games to win a set
You have to win at leasst 4 points to win a game (15, 30, 45, game)
To win a game, your score must be at least 2 points higher than your opponent
EXAMPLE 40-30
If you won this point, you would be ahead by 2 points.
But if your opponent won the point, the score is 40-40, it goes into deuce.
In deuce, you have to win 2 points in a row.
If you win 1 point, you go to advantage (A)
If you win the next point you win the game.
But if your opponent is on A and you win a point, it goes back to deuce.
If the score is 5 games all, and you win a game, it goes to 6-5. If you win
another game it goes to 7-5 and you win the set.
If it is 6-6, a tiebraker occurs. In a tiebraker, it is a little like a game.
you have to get to 7 and be in front by 2 or more points. If you are not in
front by 2 points, you keep on going until you are. You take turns serving.
3. THE COURT
This is what the court looks like.

This is a very strage court because there are no doubles lines OR boxes. But it
does not affect the gameplay at all.
4.TIPS AND TRICKS
Run up to the net and hit it to the other side of the court repeatedly.
You can run faster than the ball, so if it goes past you chase after it.
Long rallies usually end up in him winning so try to win the point as fast as
possible.
5.MULTIPLAYER TIPS
Note that these will probably not work when versing the computor.
If your opponent comes to the net, charge up to the net as well. Then it is
easier to get around him.
Have pointlessly long rallies then just finish him
Try to rum around a little before serving.
