INTRODUCTION
===============================================================================
Hello and welcome to the Sky Jinks FAQ. This handy text document will tell
you how to play this game, the game modes, and hints and tips. I am playing
this game from the Activision Anthology on the PlayStation 2, and I am hoping
that the version that I am using is the same as the normal one that was
released.

2. GAME OVERVIEW
===============================================================================
This section is just a look over all things in the game, such as how to play
it, the scoring system and controls.
Game Types
----------
There are five game types available -
Game 1 - Polo Grounds (25 Pylons)
Game 2 - Aero Race (50 Pylons)
Game 3 - Lone Field (75 Pylons)
Game 4 - Speedway Tourney (99 Pylons)
Game 5 - Thompson Tourney (99 Pylons, Random)
Difficulty A - Random Trees placed in direct flight path
Difficulty B - Random Trees removed from direct flight path
Controls
--------
Joystick - Move Plane
Fire Button - Accelerate
Note that the Up and Down directions on the Joystick has no effect on the game.
Playing the Game
----------------
The aim of the game is fly your P41 plane through a course of pylons in the
shortest time possible, while avoiding hitting obstacles like tress, balloons
and the pylons themselves. In each course, there are two types of pylon;
red and blue.
You have to fly to the right of the red pylons.
You have to fly to the left of the blue pylons.
It is very important that you do so! If you don't then you will receive a time
penalty of three seconds. Your timer is at the top left of the screen, with
the pylon count above that. Every time you go past a pylon successfully or
if you crash into it, then it counts down. At the end of the course it shows
how many pylons you missed and it adds on the penalties for missing them.
Here are some times that I have set which are fairly reachable if you try.
They are there so you have something to work towards -
Game 1 - 0:40
Game 2 - 1:25
Game 3 - 2:00
Game 4 - 2:40
Game 5 - 2:45
===============================================================================
3. HINTS AND TIPS
===============================================================================
• Turn as soon (or JUST before) you pass a pylon in the direction you need to
be heading in.
• If you are a beginner, don't use the acceleration unless you are sure that
you can make it past the pylon successfully. Turn at the pylon, and keep
turning and only apply the acceleration when you see the next pylon and
that you know that you can make it at top speed without crashing.
• Crashing into a pylon still counts as a pass.
• The obstacles are placed in your flight path and are designed to give you a
tougher time. Remember that for the first four game modes that they are
preset, so learn some of the courses and how to get past certain spots.
• Always be alert when playing, as split second reactions are required.
• PRACTICE!! Learn and experiment with how the plane turns and how fast the
acceleration goes. This is vital if you want to get great times!
