1.02 - 8/17/05

Wow.. I haven't been on in awhile.. ^^' I really forgot that I
even posted this. I have a surprise, attack data is finally up!
I'm sorry it took forever (literally). Also I added a cheat
section and tweaked abit of it all here and there. I doubt
I'll have to update again, but I'd rather leave it open and
say it's not the final version.

1.01 - 10/20/04

Unfornately, I won't be able to have the a data of each attack
ready for awhile to come. I have been very busy lately but gathered
enough time to be able to add a few of the unlockable characters,
costumes and areas in the game.

1.00 - 10/14/04

I'm planning to get accurate data on the strength of each
attack. I currently have the data. But instead of putting
up incomplete or wrong results, I'll check over all of the
data to see if it is correct. This should be complete by
the end of the week, hopefully.

The only difference between the control sets are the jump and crouch
buttons. I prefer using control type two, but I will be using set
one during the move lists because I believe most people use the
original controls ^^'.

Jab: Square
Punch: Triangle
Kick: Circle
Low Punch: Press and hold down and X then release x and press Square.
Low Kick: Press and hold down and X then release x and press Circle.
Upper cut: Press and hold down and X then release x and press Triangle.
Sweep: Press and hold down and X then release x and press Triangle+Circle
Grab and throw: Triangle+Circle
Block: X
Wake-up Kick: Square
Jumping attack: Press up and X and while in the air press Square
Tag Team: R3


These moves are useable to all characters, by learning the general moves
you will be a decent fighter as all the characters in easy or normal
modes. But I highly recommend that you learn the move sets for hard mode.
In hard mode most general moves arent as effective or are completely
blocked.

IV: Specific Moves

==================

These are a few of the basic moves that will help you during the game.
They maybe simple but they are key to a great fighter.

Palm Strike: Triangle
Combo: 1   Damage: 60

Scissor Kick: Right + Circle
Combo: 1   Damage: 120

Slide: Back away from your opponent, then run at them and press Circle.
Combo: 1   Damage: 80

Spin Punch: Left + Circle
Combo: 1   Damage: 70

Please note these are singular attacks so I will be giving estimates.
I got them from comparing attacks, so they aren't 100% accurate. The
same goes for the Specific Moves Section.

V: Combo Moves

Important note: Remember when dealing with three directional movements,
its better to use the directional buttons. You should only use the
analog stick if it is two directions or less at the same time.

Rapid Fire Kick: Press and hold the circle button.
Combo: 20 (Max)  Damage: 400 (Max)

Rapid Fire Punch: Tap Square, then press and hold Square once more.
Combo: 20 (Max)  Damage: 355

Old Trick: Right.Down.Left+Triangle
Combo: 3         Damage: 311

Master's Mark: Right.Down.Left+Triangle...Left+Circle
Combo: 5         Damage: 499

Masked Pain: Right.Down.Left+Square
Combo: 4         Damage: 384

Past Retribution: Press and hold Down and X to crouch let go of X
then press Right.Circle at the same time.
Combo: 3         Damage: 291

Mentor's Focus: Press and hold Down and X to crouch let go of X
then press Down.Circle at the same time wait about half a second
then press Left+Circle.
Combo: 6         Damage: 596

VI: Spirit Moves

================

Please note these are singular attacks so I will be giving estimates.
I got them from comparing attacks, so they aren't 100% accurate. The
same goes for the General Move Section.

Spirit Gun: Right+R1, Unlike Yusuke's Spirit gun for some reason
Genkai cannot charge her Spirit Gun.
Combo: 1     Damage: 130

Jumping Spirit Gun: Up+X to jump then press R1 while you are in the air.
Combo: 1     Damage: 130

Spirit Shotgun: Left+R2
Combo: 1     Damage: 400

Spirit Wave Orb: Left+R1
Combo: 1     Damage: 150

Spirit Reflection Blast: Up+R2
Combo: 1     Damage:   Depends on what attack it returns.

Regeneration: Down+R1
Combo: 1     Recovery: Depends on how long you hold the button.

Genkai is abit limited in her Spirit Moves but, you have to admit her
Regeneration is a life saver at points during the Dark Tournament.

VII: About Genkai

------------------

Name: Genkai
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Hair: Pink
Eyes: Brown
Height: 4,3"
Status: Psychic, Martial Artist

For being a human, I believe Genkai is the strongest human character in
Yu Yu Hakusho and during the series we learn that this wasnt the first
time she enter the dark tournament. The first time she entered the dark
tournament was when she was 20 and her ally was Younger Togora.
They easily won the tournament and Togora used his wish for eternal youth.
Genkai was discused with him and she used her wish to have no one from
the Dark Tournament ever ask her to join it once again. Her wish was
broken when she was visited by the demon Miyuki asked to join the
tournament in the Urameshi team. It was an offer she couldn't decline.
She knew that after accepting entry into the tournament her death was
inevitable after giving the spirit orb to Yusuke she was locked in a
fight with Younger Togora. Unfortunately, without the strength of
the Spirit Orb she was no match. With her final breath she told Yusuke,
"Every fighter as time to find their place before their inevitable death,
Togora ran away from that don't you ever..ever do the same...
the path you take in live effect the countless people around you..
No one is a one man show... Yusuke you aren't a cocky kid anymore"

VIII: Unlockables

This will be the section where I tell you the most accurate way to
unlock characters in the game. But bare with me, there maybe a error
or two.

(IMPORTANT: Remember, if you try to unlock any characters that require
you to get a perfect you CANNOT use the infinate health cheat to get
them, I have confirmed this myself.)

Jin: Beat Jin in DT episode 19 with two perfects.

Chu: Way 1: Beat him in dark tournament plus

Chu: Way 2: Win his token my getting two perfects in a row and beat
anyone in Dark tournament token mode with his token in your deck.

Zeru: Win 5 fights in a row in any difficulty or mode.

Suzuka: Complete survival mode with Shishi Wakamaru.

Shishi Wakamaru: Beat Genkai with Yusuke in the cave area, on hard mode.

Rinku: Win two rounds with Perfect, on hard mode in mode 1 player.

Bui: Beat Ichigaki's survival mode.

Gama: Finish arcade mode with Touya as your final opponent.

M1: Win episode 15 in dark tournament mode

M2: Win M1's arcade mode

M3: Beat Hiei and Kurama in tag team mode with M1 and M2.

Younger Toguro: Beat Toguro in dark tournament plus mode, the second time.

Roto: Complete episode 9 in dark tournament mode

Makintaro: Defeat Makintaro in dark tournament mode.

Risho: Destroy 75% of the Area floor, on 1 player, in any mode.

Touya: Defeat Touya in dark tournament mode.

Itchigaki: Beat him in dark tournament Mode.

Elder Toguro: Beat Young Toguro 1 player hard difficulty.

Karasu: Defeat Karasu in 1 player survival with Kurama in his Yoko Form.
