0. Introduction
Yeah. It's my first FAQ. Very low quality, I think, but I'll probably make it
a little nicer later. Oh, and NO ASCII PICTURES. I think that's my crowning
achievement here. I think I've got a majority of the objects, however, I have
a couple of requests. First, can someone tell me if you can pick up the large
billboards near the train tracks, and can you also pick up the statues next to
the priestess on the hill? I haven't gotten either of those things and was
wondering if anyone else had. Also, see the big ticket items for more
requests.
As this is the first edition, it almost certainly is not complete. I'm
counting on you, loyal readers, to supply any missing links if you so desire.
I have one that I'd be quite interested in, in fact, which I will list later on
after the main bits. Lets start out with the most important bit: The price
list.
1. Price List
As it stands, these are all the items I've found that are roll-uppable that are
not alive. If you have any items I've missed, please email me at the address
above with the subject "Missing Panda Items". The items are in alphabetical
order, but I will have a list of the high cost items (1k or more) at the end,
as well as their locations and a short suggested route for those having a
little trouble. Most items with messages in brackets are notes of my own so
you can recognize the item elsewhere, as some repeated names were used in this
game. Others, like the Guardrail (something) are actually the name. It
doesn't matter much, but in case you go looking for "Balance Toy (Doll Shaped)"
and can't find it, you'll know why.
Also note: My price list is in dollars. If you are looking for prices in yen,
simply multiply by 100. Voila!

2. Big Ticket Items
This is a list of the big ticket items, again in alphabetical order. I may
eventually include locations for every item, but for now, these are the
important ones.
Ammonite - $1,200.00
This can be found in the town next to Twinkle and Opeo (If you've found them)
and several lotterys. While it is over $1,000.00, I find it easier to forget
about it, as it's not that much over and the size to roll-up, 2m98cm7mm, you
won't get until very late. If you get a rhythm down you may want to try to
include it, though.
Big Coin - $3,000.00
There are 9 of these in the stage that I have seen. The first three are right
at the beginning. Turn around and navigate through the bamboo shoots, then hit
the leftmost bamboo tree a few times to knock out three of them and a kid. The
other five are inside the treasure chest. Go across the bridge and into the
left gate, then hit the tree in the far corner next to the guy lying on the
bench. then bump the treasure chest that falls out to get 5 more. The last
one is in town. Go to the bench with the lotterys and the there is a guy with
lots of fruit near him. Go to the right of him and hit the middle tree to
knock out a lucky cat, a big coin, and one other thing (I forget what). These
are great to get you started on some cash.
Champion's Belt - $2,500.00
This is in the flea market area. When you enter it, go to the main track
(outlined by white chalk lines), turn right and on your right will be a guy
sitting with some items. One of them is the Champion's Belt.
Champion's Trophy - $1,500.00
There are two of these. One is at the railroad tracks. if you drop down under
the bridge at the start and make a right, it will be to the right of the
tracks. Watch out for the snowboarders running on the tracks though! The
second is under a tent in the town. if you go to the hanging bell, if you are
on the main road, the tent is on the opposite side of the bell. On the bench
nearest the bell under that tent is the other Champion's Trophy.
Crown - $8,000.00
There are three crowns, and only require 69cm,3mm to roll up, so these are
probably going to be the most important things to find. To get the first one,
cross the bridge at the start and enter the first opening to the left. Pick up
as much as possible before you get there, as you start out only 50cm. The big
kokeshi and various vegetables will help a bit. Once you reach the minimum, go
to the feet of the guy on the bench and roll behind the boxes. You will pick
up some carrots and, planted along with them is a crown!
The second is easy to find. It is in the flea market. If you got the
Champion's Belt already, the crown is on the next adjacent mat with some other
items. Be careful, though, because the guy who's watching the items will chase
after you when you pick it up!
The third actually requires you to be large enough to pick up a laundry pole.
It's not so much the size, as that you have to be tall enough, as they are
being carried around. There are two strongmen carrying laundry poles with a
plate and several birthday cakes on them. If you get the poles, the cakes will
fall and you can roll them up. On top of them is the third crown!
Diamond - $7,000.00
The diamond is at the wedding. If you cross the bridge from the start, then
follow the road around, you will pass a guy shooting pizzas at you. Climb the
steps there and maneuver around the various guests to get to the bride and
groom. The groom has a box in his hand; just roll over the steps and grab it
and you will get the diamond as well.
Emerald - $6,000.00
There are two emeralds in the level. To find the first, go beneath the bridge
at the start. Next to the tunnel there should be several balloons floating
around. Go to the one nearest the Telephone Pole and you should see a balloon
floating with a ring box on it. Grab the box when it is low enough and you
should get an emerald too!
The second is easy to find once you've got the first. Simply roll between the
guard rails and the hill and there should be a tree in front of you. Bump the
tree a couple times and several ring boxes will fall out. One of them contains
the second emerald.
Gold Medal - $4,000.00
There are two gold medals in the level. The first is across the bridge just
underneath the man shooting pizzas. The second is in the flea market. There
should be two guys running around the main track. In front of the first one is
the gold medal, running away from them!
Hanging Bell - $10,000.00
This is probably the largest item in the map that you can pick up. It is easy
to see in the center of town, but you have to pick up lots of stuff to get it.
I'll provide a strategy for this in the next update.
Hanging Scroll - $1,600.00
There are four of these, though three are grouped together. The loner is in
the flea market. When you enter, follow the path around to the left. On your
left will be a Grandma sitting behind a few items. Behind her, hanging on the
tree is a hanging scroll.
The other three are on the upper level. Go to the clearing with the ice cream
man and the boy lying under the tree, and go up the hill there. To the left
will be a priestess in front of the three scrolls.
Harp - $2,500.00
This item is in the wedding as mentioned with the diamond. It is fairly large
with a minimum requirement of 3m,11cm,5mm to roll up, but if you have rolled a
lot beforehand you should be able to pick this up no problem. if not, try
picking up the guests at the wedding and some of the larger items on that part
of town, then heading back to it.
Ice Cream Freezer - $1,700.00
This is pretty large also; you need to be 2m,45cm,5mm to get it. It is in the
clearing near the hill to go to the upper level next to the tree with the boy
lying under it. At the very least, you'll be snacking for a while once you've
got it.
Katana - $1,500.00
I do not know where this is. If you are sure, send me an email and I will put
it up along with your name here. If you're not sure, I think it's somewhere in
the flea market. Go! Search for me!
Kimono - $2,000.00
There are two of these. One is in the flea market off of the main track next
to the samurai armour and a shogun. The other is at the wedding as mentioned
in diamond. Stylish, but expensive.
Onyx - $4,000.00
There are two of these lying around. The first is by the railroad tracks. If
you go under the bridge at the beginning, then enter the tunnel near you, you
will come out at the other side. There should be a cooler with a ring box on
top of it which contains an onyx (the box, not the cooler).
The second is on a cart in the flea market, but I find this one inconvenient to
get. If you have a good strategy, let me know. To find it, look for three
women running around the main track. In front of them is a cart with a ring
box and an onyx in it.
Organ - $1,500.00
The organ is being played by some guy at the wedding that was mentioned in the
diamond section. Just roll it up and make it stop that awful racket! Oh,
right. Wedding music. I see.
Pay Phone - $980.00
I included this only because it was so close that I felt I might as well.
However, I'm not sure where it is! If you know, let me know and I'll credit
you for it.
Ruby - $5,000.00
There are two of these to be found. One is in a box on a lucky cat riding a
skateboard. It seems to move randomly, but it stays on the roads around the
lower level of town. The other is on top of the rack just outside the flea
market. There is a monkey and some "Don't Rush Out!" signs, and on top of the
rack (I think it is dried kelp) is a ruby ring in a box. Be careful though!
Don't pick up the cymbal monkeys or the big monkey will attack you and probably
knock off the ring (if you have it) or other items.
Samurai Armor - $2,500.00
This expensive and old piece of armor is in the flea market If you take the
main track to the left where the kimono is, it will be next to the shogun. If
you pick it up, though, the shogun will be infuriated by your lack of honor and
attack the katamari. Don't worry too much, however. He has slowed greatly
with age.
Scooter - $1,800.00
The scooter is being driven around town by two piggybanks in a box. Just roll
it up once you're big enough.
Shachihoko - $1,000.00
A golden fish trophy, of which there are four. One is in the pool at the
aforementioned wedding, leaping out of the water. The other three are in the
storefront of the store next to the monkey mentioned in the ruby section. When
you are big enough to get them, you probably won't see them, but just roll
close to the store, they'll get picked up.
Sweets Plate - $1,000.00
This is either being carried by the strongmen with the birthday cakes and
crown, or it is somewhere at or near the upper level of town. If you know the
exact location, let me know so I can fix it here and leave you a thanks here as
well.
Tiger Skin - $2,500.00
This is in the flea market by the guy watching TV. He should be straight ahead
once you go in the main area, so you can't miss it, but to roll it up you'll
have to pick up a few things first.
Treasure Chest - $10,000.00
The highest price item, except for the hanging bell, but significantly smaller.
It is in the tree across the bridge. Read the info on Big Coins for a more
detailed description of its location. GET THIS!!!
Trophy - $1,000.00
There are five of these in town. Four are in a shopping cart being pushed by a
guy in the main part of the lower level of town. I recommend getting large
enough to at least knock over the guy first though, as he moves quite fast.
The last is in the flea market. It is sitting on the stand next to the guy
watching TV. He should be right ahead of you when you first enter the flea
market.
Watercolor - $3,000.00
No clue. I searched and searched for this and I still can't figure out where
it is. Let me know and I'll credit you for it instead of me. I did roll it up
though... oooooh, how I rolled that painting.
3. Notes
As stated above, I am looking for locations of the Katana, Pay Phone, Sweets
Plate, and Watercolor, as well as any other big ticket items I may have missed.
Also, if you find an object I have forgotten, or can tell me if the large
billboards/statues near the priestess on the hill can be rolled up, that would
be much appreciated as well. All help will be duly noted and recorded in the
next version of the FAQ for all to see. Any questions, submissions,
corrections, or buy one get one free coupons should be mailed to:
