This is a guide to the sprite colors of every character in
the ARCADE version of Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire.
Vampire Savior is the name for the Japanese arcade release
of the third entry in the Darkstalkers franchise. This guide
will not include characters who are exclusive to the home
ports (known as Darkstalkers 3). For convenience sake I have
included the non-Japanese names for characters whose names
have changed in other regions.
Every character has six primary colors, each represented by
the three strengths of punches and kicks, as well as two
"secret" colors which can be chosen by pressing all three
punches or all three kicks together.
Characters are listed alphabetically by their Japanese
names, and each color is represented by its respective
button. See below for the button annotations:
LP = light punch, aka jab
MP = medium punch, aka strong
HP = hard punch, aka fierce
LK = light kick, aka short
MK = medium kick, aka forward
HK = hard kick, aka roundhouse
3P = all three punches (secret color #1)
3K = all three kicks (secret color #2)
LP = white linen, gold & blue attire, brown face
MP = white linen, tan & red attire, black face
HP = tan linen, green & dark green attire, brown face
