Notes : This is a far from complete faq, I had too much time to spend so that's why I'm
making this faq and because no one else took the time. Also, I'll only write what I know
so far (which is not much)
My Japanese knowledge is very (extremely) limited therefore I can only understand a few

1. About Game (.AG)
Tokimeki Memorial is a dating game by KONAMI
and has been doing well with it's games (like no.1 and no.2 and no.3 and so on)
Tokimeki Memorial : Girl's Side is specially designed for girls (although boys can
play it too *'-'*). This is a change from it previous which only features the guy trying
to get the girl.
You start out as a girl (obviously) and try to get the guy of your dreams (not quite)
to marry you

2. Beginning (.BGN)
You are to input your name (only 3 places for your first name). If you are not a literate
Japanese (don't understand hiragana or katakana) I suggest you input the name in english
letters ( you can do this by clicking on the button below the box to bring out english
characters) When your character talks, this is the name that will appear as yours
Do the same for the 3 other slots
Next is your birthday and blood type. (Up to you) Whether there's a difference it will make
to the game, I have no idea *'-'* sorry
Then comes the fun part, that is if you understand hiragana or katakana.
In this game, there is like a AI system which will call you by the japanese name you enter.
(That's right, if you input ex. ƒ}ƒC , the guys will call you Mai .... ahhhh cute!!)
**Oh ya , I entered my name hani and you should have heard the teacher calling me Honey...
ewww......**
For the first slot, it's the name guys like KEI and the teacher will call you

Start with Niyu [NEW]
Intro : The background voice will start narating about a story from a book of how
a prince came and propose to the princess and then ..... * my limited Japanese will
not allow me to understand everything* so anyway, there's the king *who probably tries
to stop them ..... and then they got married (or was it just confess their love) in a
chapel. Hence ending the story by a misterous half-figured face. Then you wake up.
And you meet Tsukushi-chan , your good brother who will be there to comfort you when
all the men in this story lets you down.... awww.... *He's more like a salt to your
wound*
You start out in a school where the principal will give a talk.....yadda yadda
Then you start looking around the school .. whhich is the place you will be at for
the next 3 years
Then suddenly you see it...... the beautiful chapel .
*In tokimeki 1, the lover confess their love for you under a tree,
In tokimeki 2, it was the clocktower and tokimeki 3 was under the sakura tree??*
Likewise this will probably be where your guys confess.... YIPPEE
Anyway you fall down and then comes Your gamepad under vibration mode should vibrate*
... aheeemmm HAZUKI KEI. (Like the rest of the tokimeki game, this guy will be the
one you want the most but will have the hardest time to get)
He offers you his hand and then start introducing himself. Then goes off
You will now meet one of your random girlfriends (or shall I say RIVALS!!)
Then you will also meet HIMURO SENSEI which is one of the heart-throb men in this game.

For the b-c , click on the icon to get good at something, for your stats, the more
you do something , your stats will increase and so will your stress level, so when
the going gets tough, sleep.
When a guy does something with you (eg, study together) that should improve your
relationship with him
For no 1,2,3 , they are only available during weekends and holidays. You can only
do either one of them, yes, they will take the whole day! (Eg. Phone HAZUKI for a
date and then look at the calendar, it's a new day.... 24 hours on a phone call??)

* one time I only concentrated on dating him most of all and still, when the game
was over, I did not get him ... JERK!!!! *
How to get him :::: Info Thanks to Yuen
Hazuki-kun (Kei-kun) is the main guy in this game. So he was quite ‘special to get'
Others will love you first and faster, but Kei-kun, will love you with slow but true love.
His love won’t be drop fast like Madoka-kun. Madoka-kun will like you very fast!
Use him if Kei-kun is still so-so to you. First, Kei will ignore you, maybe like, hateful to
you. But honestly, he really care about you (you will know this later). Now the hints!
To make Kei kun says: ‘Aishiteru'
1. When Kei-kun stil so-so*__*
In this time, Kei's still, ‘cold towards you. It’s all right, You just date if he want,
but if he don’t, just let it be. (Take him to the place he like. If you take him to the
place he does not like, it's quite difficult (He likes park, zoo). But remember, don’t
date him too much! If you dating him too much, his true love will perish. Maybe he will
smile at you faster, but he will just smile and smile, just as a nice friend, not as
‘koibito’ (lovers)… So, I think the first date in June should be perfect. In the first year
HS (High School), I just date him 8 times (1.5 months/2 months-1 date). But here's the first
clue. If you date him too much, ‘Kei-kun’s song Ein date time will disappear.
Don’t forget to ask him tp go home with you after school. And, if you are lucky, you will
encounter him at the shopping mall working (Kayoubi & Mokuyoubi) *Saturday and Thursday*
I think, And don’t forget to work at Alucard cafe to see Kei every day.
If you succeed, Kei will stop being so-so and smile for you in first year 2 HS.
2. When Kei-kun starts to smile
This time, he will act different. He will have more ‘words to say. And Kei-kun will starts
to watch when you study, doing sport etc, and he will look at you when you are doing the
arubaito in Alucard cafe
If there is an event in school, he starts to watch you. If you are doing well, he will ask you
to go with him for the school tour, new year event, etc.
Dating kei-kun will be much easier though. You may date him more this time.
Maybe 1,5 month/ 1 month - 1 date. Don’t date him too much
HINT * if you go to one place for 2 times, save the 3rd for later. Because on the 3rd ,
Kei-kun will ask you a ‘special question'.
Eg. Planetariun 1, park, doubutsuen, etc, Planetarium 2.
You can date in the Planetarium 2 times. Save the 3rd for laters. You will know why
If you succeed, he will start to like you in last of the year. T
he new year, he will start to call you your nick name
3. Kei-kun starts to like you.
This part will be the ‘tanoshii na part! He will start blushing when he meets you.
And you may call him his nick name (Kei). Hehe.. well, enjoy this part. You may date him
as much as you want, I think! Be carefull, if there's another guy who likes you first!
If you check Hazuki feelings, it's still a laughing face. But, others may skip the
‘laugh feelings and go straight to ‘suki feelings' (tokimeki state)
Carefull if another guy likes you first, Kei-kun won’t love you *AHHHHH!! Get away from
me Madoka-kun!! RELOAD RELOAD*
This time, just do your best to date, and you may go for the 3rd place I mentioned before!
He will ask you a ‘special question and you can answer with ‘special answer' Just try it.
Now The christmas party... see it yourself if you will
4. LOVE
This last part you will enjoy just in 2 months. After the Xmas party, Hazuki will really
like you! Don’t let his feelings disappear! Date him as much as you can!!
(or maybe, he will ask you first. . And if you are very lucky enough, he will ask you to go
to see his house!!
If you succeed He will say Aishiteru at the end and give you a ring Enjoy! *AHHH!!! SQUEALS*
(You can find He's CG if you date him in park, Ferris Wheel, Flea Market, when you're sleeping)
I played and get this 3 guy ( at third year I only date one guy to get different ending)
+ Hibiya but he just suddenly popped out and say he liked me, don't know why he liked me
though? probably you make yourself a popular girl in school, good at sports, education etc
(all my stats were over 100 at that time) because he alway say wanted to become a good man
and always imitate his senpai like hazuki, mihara, etc

ring and say this is the ring he wants to give to his hime (princess)and say
" Aishiteru, our Love will begin from here"

How to get him ::::
Just be friend with him, upgrade sports a lot, ask him to date often (skiing, pool anywhere
sporty to get his CG and join basket club), he's not a romantic guy so if you go to the
planetarium or park and you said it's romantic he will ask if you are joking or something

Don't worry if he goes around scolding you 'BAKA' (Stupid) cos it means he likes you but
does not know how to express it
The easiest way is to join the basketball club, and always win the
basketball games with
other school. If you join the basket club, you will have basketball
games with other school
on this following months: March, June, September, and December of
every year. To win,
choose the basketball club options for the first two weeks of the
month before the game
with other school.
On August 2004, if you succeed and keep on winning those games with
other schools, you
will go to Inter High. If your sports parameter is high enough, you
will all of the games in the
Inter High and Kazuma will be very impressed. This improves his status.
When dating Kazuma, go swimming, skiing, bowling, Habataki Tower,
amusement park (jet
coaster and bungee jumping - do NOT ever go to the haunted house with
him because he
hates it), beach, and watch the fireworks. Kazuma likes 'sporty'
clothes, so wear them when
you go on a date with him. He also likes 'pure' clothes, but he
likes 'sporty' the best.

Kazuma saw you entering the chapel, and he followed you. He said that you are different,
and that you're the one who told him that basketball is not a game you can play alone
- which he had been doing before you told him that. Then he said that he wants
you to stay by his side and watch him, and asked you to go to America with him..
followed by his confession
(Ore, suki da! Omae no koto suki da!! -- kawaii ^__^). If you accept him, you'll go
to America with him. If you don't.. I don't know, I'm not going this far just to

before the games with other school (the games with other school will
be on March, June, September,
and December of every year). Wataru's status is easy to improve, so
keep on winning and dating him
and he'll fall for you.. ^__^
When dating Wataru, go to karaoke, bowling / ping-pong / bilyard,
park, game center, livehouse,
Habataki Tower, amusement park (haunted house), beach, swimming pool,
and watch the fireworks.
Wataru likes 'sexy' and 'sporty' clothes (he likes 'sexy' the best
though..), so wear them when going
on a date with him.

stupid part where he makes a lot of mistakes
saying things and says that he'll do it one more time from the
beginning.. ^^; Anyway, he said that
though he's a year younger than you, love has nothing to do with age.
Then he asked you to be his girlfriend.
If you accept him, he'll be really happy and says that he will become
a man that can make you 'mellow-mellow'.

bigger smile *where they show their teeths*
He usually ask you out on sight-seeing (teacher and student relationship) unless
you are allowed to pick the clothes you want to wear then it's a date!!

Then you get to see his handsomely macho face. *To get bad grades to see a teacher's
handsomely macho face?? That's a big sacrifice*

First of all .... never befriend your girlfriend who went on a RIval VS mode with you
Ignore them if you must, easiest way, don't befriend your girl friend to smilling state
a bit is ok.... but not til they simple LOVE you... so that you can pursue the guys you like
heee...heee or else........ they will reunite with their love ones and you get a sour
looking guy in your bro's stat
Next, NEVER NEVER date another guy when you have the desired guy at a TOKIMEKI stat
You know why, the guy in tokimeki stat will fall back, to smilling with teeth

back, I got the problem once, I got KAZUMA's ending then my game had to be restarted so I
thought a sure thing I would get KAZUMA but I went to date SAKUYA because he tried to bomb
me then the year came to an end (I saved at the wrong place!!!) Then I got my sis ending

Ok to be with, but when they finally confess that they like someone and goes VS with

R1 will give you a choice on what to call him
(eg. Murimura-kun, Murimura-sama, Murimura-san, Sakuya with love symbol)
Call him Sakuya and you get an angry face .... unless he really loves you
(Mind you, the Japanese do prioritize the calling of their name with an appropriate
suffix) So, if you don't know, stick to -kun by not pressing R1

____________ - This is to have some chit-chat with him in a nice cofee shop!
____________ - This is to go home alone
Sometimes they will walk home with you , other time, they'll just say they're busy

If you want to work (To buy all those great clothes) then phone the company
Some will require part-time shift *in this case a day work, one day school*
When you want to cancel, call the same company (on weekends)
Sometimes, you'll be working with a special someone on the job....

Tsukushi will stand there and give you flashcard with instructions, here's how to
beat the game *I have beat it!! yay!! although... I don't know the difference it makes*
First : You have to have a ORIGINAL playstation controller *I have an compatible controller
and it works terrible. You won't be able to win without twisting and turning the joystick
in frustration*
In your controller is two mini joystick , one right, one left which will be represented
by the flashcard that Tsukushi will hold up
On the flash card there's the rotation arrow. Rotate your joystick following the arrow.
represents the beginning and + represents the pointed part (ending) of the arrow
R+ means turn your right joystick clockwise
+R. means turn your right joystick anti-clockwise
L+ means turn your right joystick clockwise
+L. means turn your right joystick anti-clockwise
Now the tricky-part
Sometimes (to spite you or Tsukushi has a bad sense *^-^*) she will put up the card
in the mirrored way. To overcome this, do the opposite of the arrow
eg. + mirrored R . means turn right joystick clockwise because the arrow is anti
clockwise
*No error : wonderful cake with loves flying everwhere and cute eyes
Error once : Nice cake
Eror too many times : a skull cake and skull face on you and Tsukushi *

Addons:: The AI EVS System
EVS is where you get to decide what your heros should call you
You input your name in hiragana or katakana and then whenever your name
comes out, you get to hear them calling you
Because the Japanese language is only limited to a number of pronunciation
(how do I explain this?!) unlike the english language a-z which combinations
are endless, it's easy to execute the playstation to call your japanese name
Eg. 'Sa' is represented by a hiragana character and so is 'ku' and 'ra'
When you input, automatically the heros will call you SAKURA
Because each hiragana represents a unique pronunciation by it's own that does not
change.
To do that in the english language is impossible since each letter we have is
has it's own pronunciation that does not quite make up a word when put together
Eg. for english ,
cute , the c is not the same as it is in catch
