| STORY |
·-----------------------------------------------------------------------------·
In the hundred years spanning the millennium (1935 - 2035), a disparate
bunch of heroes and villains battle against their own challenges. Although
each is unaware of the others, they all share an ageless common spirit of
adventure - but unknown to them, their daring actions have attracted the
attention of the TimeSplitters.
The TimeSplitters - an evil race dwelling outside of time and space. For
eons they have manipulated the fate of humanity for their own malign ends
- with cursed shards of crystal they have sown fear, greed and conflict
throughout history.
Now, roused from an ancient sleep, the TimeSplitters cross the threshold
from their shadowy dimension - ripping through the fabric of time itself
to confront our heroes.
Can our heroes unite against a common enemy to realize a greater destiny?
Or will humanity be consigned forever to a realm ruled under the shadow of
the TIMESPLITTERS?

STAGE: 1935 TOMB

Normal: Unlock Graveyard as Playable Arcade Level.
Hard: Unlock Eye Mummy as Playable Character.
Level Item: Ankh
Level Enemies: Cultists
Eye Mummy
Teeth Mummy
Level Weapons: Mauser Pistol
Blunderbus
Tommy Gun
Mission Briefing:
Find the Cultist's Ankh and return it to the shrine.
Walkthrough:
EASY - Go straight ahead and shoot the guy standing just past the
shrine. Now go into the next area and down the middle
doorway. Shoot the box down in the room at the end of the
hallway to kill the guy camped down there. Grab the amo and
go left into the next room. Go past the pillar and then go
right into the corridor. The Corridor ends and turn right
into another coridor with a guy at the end. In this corridor
there is an enterance on the left hand side that goes to a
room with a ramp up. In this room is a health behind some
boxes. You now have to go up the ramp, mind the guy pacing
around up there. Go down the hallway and it turns to the
left which goes to a short hallway with a right at the end.
Down this hallway is a room with a guy that throws grenades
and another guy. Shoot the boxes and all of them will die.
There is also a hallway that goes to the left at the start
of the room. Quickly shoot the guy that rolls into that
hallway from the larger room to the right. Go down that
hallway watching for the ramp down on the left, that has a
guy at the base. Take the guy out and proceed to the end of
the hallway. Go right and shoot the boxes on the far right
hand side of the room, this is where another guy is with
grenades. Walk over to where he was and pick up the Tommy
Gun. Just over from him is some more Ammo, grab that and go
back to the ramp down, and go down that. On your right there
is another guy that you will have to take out on the run or
lure him up the stairs. Keep turning right and go down the
next ramp. On the left hand side is another guy that you
will have to take out. Now go into the next room and there
will be two zombies shoot their heads off to kill them. Here
is where the Ankh is. Obtain it and start your way back. As
you leave the room before you go up the ramp a TimeSplitter
will appear. At the top of the ramp will be a Zombie with a
Tommy Gun (wait a minute, since when do they have Tommy
Guns?) Shoot him and he will lose the gun then shoot his
head when he gets back up. As you go up the ramp and turn
there is another Tommy Gun Zombie, do the same thing to him.
No just up the ramp and to your right is another one (Man I
want to know where they shot for these cool weapons.) Go
right down the hallway and then left, and then right. Down
this hallway another TimeSplitter will spawn. Go into the
the room and then down the ramp to have another TimeSplitter
spawn. Go down the hallway and to your right then left. A
TimeSplitter will spawn at the end of this hallway near
where the Health was/is. Turn left and abit down the hallway
is where you first blew up the box to kill the guuy. Now go
up the ramp that is on your right. A TimeSplitter will spawn
at the top of the Ramp. Once you get into the open two
TimeSplitter will spawn in the distance up near the shrine.
Kill them then enter the Shrine where another TimeSplitter
will spawn just behind the finishing point. Kill it and then
move onto the rd circle to complete the Level.
NORMAL - Ok here is what you do. From the start back back to get
the pistol and more ammo. Now there is a cultist pacing
around. When you shoot him there is a slight chance that
you won't alert the other two cultists that are around.
Run into the finishing point to grab the TNT and more
ammo. Now just outside in the next larg open area there is
two more cultists that will run at you when they see you.
There is one to the left and the other to the right handside
of the enterance to the Tomb. Now down the ramp shoot the
box to kill the two cultists down there. Grab the ammo and
turn left. Another cultist will jump from behind the pillar
when you get close to entering the next room. Kill him then
as you get closer to the pillar a cultist will commando-roll
from the right. Quickly kill him and sneak sneak pass the
pillar, and look down the left to where a cultist will be.
Kill him by ducking out then let him follow you as you spray
his body full of well what ever weapon you have handy.
Another cultist will come from the right as well. After you
finish them off go right, and you will see a Health pack at
the end. Strafe facing right into the health pack (if needed)
and shoot the Cultist at the end of the hallway to the right.
No go forward abit past the left hand turn and look left
aiming for the boxes to kill the cultist behind there. Go
into the room grabbing the ammo that was behind the boxes
and then proceed up the ramp. Kill the two cultists to the
left first then the one around the corner. There will be a
zombie coming towards you by this time so take his head off
to proceed further. Continue down the hallway where a
cultist will duck out from the left at the end. Take care
of him and keep moving slowly as by the time you reach the
end you will encounter another zombie that spawns. Go to
the end of the hallway then crouch and strafe left until
you can see the room with the three boxes with cultists
behind them. Shoot the middle one fast and it will take out
all the boxes. There is a hallway that goes off to the left.
Turn down there an a Cultist will jump in from the right
at the end of the hallway. Take him out and proceed to pick
up the ammo from the cultists you wasted at the boxes. In
the corner of the room turn left and shoot the box in the
middle of the room which should have another cultist behind
it. Then while crouching duck out and turn right to shoot
the box with two more cultist behind it. Run over to grab
the Tommy-Gun and over to the Health (if needed). Now you
can either jump down the hole (which will plunge you into
a world of danger [I like that :P]) Or go back to the ramp
that goes down which should be near where the guy jumped out
just after you blew up the three boxes. Down the bottom
of the ramp there should be three more Cultists ready to
be blow away. Just after taking them out turn right and down
the next ramp where you will find three more cultists (one
of which is left around the corner ready to take you out
when you turn the corner. Now go forward and there is now
more of the tombs ready for you to explore. Firstly before
you do that go forward shooting the cultist in the distance
in the room where the Ankh first was. Where the Ankh was
there is now a Health pack if you need it run over killing
the mummy that spawns in the middle of the room and also the
one that spawns in the alcove where the health is. If you go
to the left of the room thereis a ramp down with a cultist
at the bottom. Kill him then return back to the first new
part that has been opened. Go down the hallway the while
facing left strafe out shooting the cultists that are up
the end of the hallway. Now go back to the ramp down and you
should be rid of the annoying pests that fire at you from
above. Go down the ramp and then turn left. Turn left again
and goto the end of the hallway and turn right. Keep on
going till you get the a ramp down. Go down shooting the
cultist on the far wall. Turn left and shoot another
cultist, then move out abit and turn left a small fraction
more to kill another cultist. Now there is another hole
here that you can fall down and fall intot he middle of
all hell (yipee), but you can go down one of the two ramps.
The ramp closest to the entry point has a mummy that spawns
at the enterance so watch out for him. At the base of the
ramp another mummy will spawn. Take him out then continue
on. At the bottom of the ramp there will be an alcove to
your right and also to the left there is another ramp going
down. Go down the ramp and at the bottom there is three
more cultists that are sneaky and don't bother showing
themselves until you are nearing the bottom of the ramp.
Kill them then go left. From left you can either go right
which will take you down an hallway where you will be able
to take out any cultists down on the next level, or you
can go forward into a room that looks like the room on
EASY that had the Ankh. There is nothing in here. Now you
can go back down the ramp that was to the right of the
ramp down to this level. At the base of the ramp turn left
and start walking forward till a cultist jumps from the
left at the end. Kill him and go down to where he was.
Now turn left and you will be able to see the Ankh. Go
forward slowly until the two mummies spawn. Taken them out
and the Ankh is yours. Run back to the start of the level
killing all the TimeSplitters that get in your road and
your Done.
HARD - Basically hard is the same as NORMAL until you reach where
the Ankh was in NORMAL, oh and that you start off with no
weapons. Where the Ankh was is not some Armour. This is
very much needed as in the the next room is too many
Cultists hiding behind things. Carfully take them out one
at a time by waiting till you hear them reload then when
they jump out, blow them away. After you have cleared them
all continue down to the end of the room where you will find
a series of ramps going down and around until you get to one
big room where you can see the Ankh up on a pillar with a
walkway leading to the centre right above it so that you can
jump down. The thing is that this room has many cultists and
also TImeSplitters that appear before and after you get the
Ankh, so you will have to watch all corners for enemies.
Grab the Ankh and run like the wind I say. There will be a
more indepth version of this walkthrough soon.
Speed Walkthrough:
The easiest way to do this stage in under 1 minute is to kill in
one shot, and if you miss don't stay around to finish the job.
Basically it's keep running shooting the guys until you come up to
the first set of boxes with guys behind them. Don't shoot them as
it will take too much time, just weave throught them and go into
the large room and drop down the hole. Collect the Ankh and go past
the mummies. Shoot all TimeSplitters that pop up and make sure that
you don't get caught by mummies that havn't been killed (heads
blown off), as they will stop all movement up ramps. Don't bother
about anyone who is in a room that you don't have to go directly
into. When you get to the end, pause and check your time just
before you go over the finish point. If you have exceeded 1 minute
then just quite and restart, or you will have to reload the whole
level again.
Timed Secret:
On HARD start the level as normal counting the the Health packs as
you go further down. By the time you reach the third one, take note
of it as when you return to this place after you get the Ankh the
wall will have disappeared and you will be able to go through a few
hallways to appear out the righthand door and the start of the
stage.

Mission Briefing:
Find the cursed artifact and bring it back for deeper research.
Walkthrough:
EASY - Ok from where you start go left around the corner and take
out the guy that shoots at you, then as you take a few more
steps a guy on your left will start to shoot at you. Kill
him as you go further, remember to check the windows on
every house for people. Now go left around the next corner,
but watch out for another guy. Kill him then as you go
further there is a guy down a small ally. Kill him then
quickly take out the guy that is around to the right. After
that if your low on health you can go into the ally where
the last guy was and pick up the health in there. Keep going
around the next corner and a guy will start to shoot at you,
kill him then watch out cause another guy will come out from
behind you. Keep on going and further down a man will jump
out, kill him and continue on going right. Another guy in a
window might shoot at you, you can kill him or just ignore.
You can go down into a small room where a guy downstairs to
your left will shoot at you as you come down. Kill him then
go down the stairs, then go right and out into the street.
Turn left and kill the guy shooting at you. Shoot to one of
the crates on the warf that will kill the two guys behind
them. Then go forward and turning right and kill the guy
down the stairs and the guy in the window. Then goto the end
of the warf but dont get the Lantern, then turn around and
kill the two people in the windows. Also there is a guy in
the distance to your left shooting at you. Kill him, then
once you have done that pick up the Lantern. After that two
TimeSplitters will appear behind you, so turn around and
kill them then keep going forward until you have to turn
left around the corner but don't. Go right instead back down
the ally way then go left then right. Keep going then go
left and watch out for the TimeSplitter. When you get out
into the street two TimeSplitters will be waiting for you.
Kill them then go right down the street watching out for
TimeSplitters apearing out of nowhere. Then when you get to
the end turn left then keep going still watching out for
TimeSplitters. Then go right and a few TimeSplitters will
appear kill them then run back to where you started and the
your done!
Speed Walkthrough:
This one is an easy one, even though the time is a daunting one.
What you need to do is on the second right turn there is a little
allyway that has a few mutants in it. This is the Key to making
it in 30 seconds. What you need to do is only shoot the mutants
that you need to shoot. Just keep running grab the lantern and then
come back the same way. The timing will be very tight, so you might
have to do it a few times to get it.

Walkthrough:
EASY - Go forward until you have to turn right. When you can see
the patroling guy shoot him. Go left and kill the guy in the
distance. Now move slowly up the stairs until a guy jumps
out from behind the wall in the distance. Kill him then
before going any further there is a guy around the corner to
you right, strafe around the corner and shoot him. Now
strafe some more until you have visable range on the two
guy in the building. There is one up-stairs and one
down-stairs. Kill them both then continue on towards the
left. Now in the little room which your about to enter there
is some health. Don't use it unless you need it, because
later when you are running back to the start you might need
some health. Ok when your finished in that room continue on
out towards the garden. In the far right corner there is a
guy and in the far left corner behind the garden arch thing
there is another guy. Kill them then continue on towards
the far left corner. Now as you go around the corner there
is another guy. Kill him before and continue on right to the
next area, but watch out for grenades of the guy behind the
box in the far left of the next coridor. Kill him before he
throws any more. By now a man with a M-16 should be coming
out to try and kill. Kill him first, then before going any
further kill the grenade guy who is hiding behind the box
just to your right around the corner. After that continue on
until you get near the first light hanging from a roof. Stop
and then strafe left around the corner until you see the
three men, one of them is behind a little wall and the other
two are in front of it, kill them all. Now before going in
to the house continue on until you have to turn right. Now
around the corner is a guy, kill him then you can go back.
In the house go behind the wall that one of the three men
was hiding behind and get the guns. Now go back to the gong
and then walk backwards until you can see a guy up stairs or
until you hit the wall. Look up and kill the guy up-stairs
then move towards the stairs. As you go up the stairs a chef
will come out of the door to your left. Kill him then go
through the door that the chef came out of and then go left
down the stairs. Go left and into the room to your left. Now
if your low on life you can go into the toilets and get the
health or you can go the other way into the room with the
armour. Once you have the armor go back you where you killed
the chef and go through the other door. Go left down the
stairs but watch out for the chef that comes out of the room
down there (he has a shot gun so kill him fast). Go through
the door that the chef came out of but watch out for the guy
on the left. Now if your low on life again you can go into
the toilets again and get the health. Now go the other way
into the kitchen and there is a chef and a guy and a guy
with an M-16 to the left and a two chefs on the right of the
room. Kill them all, an i advise you to kill the chef to
the right first then the two people to the left, and finally
the other chef to the right. Now find a doorway that goes to
a set of stairs going down. Go down the stairs watching out
for the guy with a shotgun at the bottom of them. Kill him
and go left towards another room where two guys with M-16's
are. Kill them both but before you continue to the next room
there is a chef in the hallway. Kill him then go in to the
next room watching out for the guy with two UZI's. Kill him
then get the case watching out for the TimeSplitters that
appear behind you. Kill them then continue back to the
kitchen keeping an eye out for more TimeSplitters, then when
you are in the kitchen go back to the other door to get out.
Watch out for the TimeSplitter that comes out of the door.
Once through the door go left killing the TimeSplitter that
appears then right and up the stairs to your right. Go
trough the door and down the stairs past the gong and to
your right and out of the house watching out for the two
TimeSplitters to the right. Now go left and keep going until
you have to go left and back into the garden. A
TimeSplitters will appear from under the bridge, you can
kill him or just run past and into the little room. Another

then continue on out of the little room. Go forward until

right. This time kill the other guy then keep going
forward turning right. Be very quick to take out the guy
who is up in a sniper spot then proceed around the corner to
your left. The guy in a door way far to the right will start
to shoot at you. Kill him then keep going around the corner.

but also quickly kill the sniper above you on a small
walkway. Go right around the corner and kill the two guys

Once through, turn right and under a set of stairs there is
a guy, kill him and wait for two more guys to come down the
stairs. Kill them then go all the way up the stairs until
you get to the top and in a dark hallway there is a guy.
Kill him then before you go around the next corner, get the
grenade launcher out and strafe around the corner and shoot
the drone gun on the roof. Now go through the doorway on
your left then before going any further, strafe right and
take out the guy down the hallway and the guy who is on the
roof through the glass. Keep going but before you get to the
corner a guy will jump out. Kill him and then go around the
corner in the next room there is a guy behind a metal box

and get the suitcase. Once you have it in your posession
two TimeSplitters will appear outside the room. Kill them
Go out and goto the door on the right then run out the door

| CHALLENGES |
·-----------------------------------------------------------------------------·
1-A Behead the Undead
GOAL: The old mansion on gallows hill is infested with undead spawn -
just the thing for target practice! Shoot the heads off 50
zombies in two minutes to win a prize.
TIPS: Ok I found the easiest way to do this is make sure that the
Aiming Function is on 'Toggle' in the Game Menu. When you start
press L1 (or what ever your Aiming button is set too), and then
move right and back down the coridor. Then wait for the to come
around the corner, line their heads up and fire away. Make sure
you hit first time, or the blighters will bite your knee-caps.
Oh and watch out for when the pretent to trip and fall, they
will just lunge at you and kill you. If you get killed the
repeat the same procedures but go down the other hallway to the
left. Repeat alternating halways until you have all 50.
PRIZE: 'The Living Dead' Arcade Bot Setting.
1-B Putrid Punchout
GOAL: Shooting these zombies is just too easy! Let's see if you can
knock 30 heads off in one minute with only your bare knuckles.
TIPS: There is many ways you can do this, so I might as well start
somewhere. Ok if any of you out there play Tekken, and know the
character Bryan, then you will know his Mach Breaker punch. I
have found that if you do that type of motion (forward, forward,
punch), you can creap up on the zombies fast, and not have to
wait to punch as the punch that you throw will connect as you
move towards them. Another way to do it is the "I'm the bait"
method. This way what you do is let them group around you
preferably on your right side where you spawn, now just hit X
and punch at the same time and you should get most to all that
you need. By pressing X at the same time saves pressing X if
you die, it just speeds up the respawn just incase one of them
gets you. And there is another way, just back yourself into one
of the hallways and wait for them to come down and then race up
and punch them individually. This one doesn't have that much
success but if your a good shot them you will make the quota.
PRIZE: Green Zombie and Brown Zombie available as Playable Characters.
1-C Dusk of the Dead
GOAL: As the sun goes down, the ghouls come out.Make your last stand
in the mansion front hall.Who knows if you score 10000 points
you might survive to see the dawn.
TIPS: This chalenge is very annoying, its split up into several
different phases:1,2,3,4,5 each getting more and more difficult.
The spot you start in is the spot you have to stay in for the
whole mission, if you walk out you have 2 seconds to return or
you fail. In each phase you have a certain number of zombies to
kill, aim useing the cross hairs and blow the heads into a small
smoldering pile of ashes when ever they get too close. As soon
as the phase 1 (or whatever phase you are currently on appears)
run down the stairs quickly and grab BOTH shotgun pickups.
Remember zombies come from the left and the right so keep an eye
out on your radar. In the begginning of every phase u will be
attacked from both side simultaniously make sure you blow these
away first then turn your attention to the zombies that come up
the stairs. Some of the zombies will stay downstairs, I recomend
using the shotgun to pick em off from above. The faster you
complete each phase the more points you will get. Once you get
over 10000 points just continue untill you die the chalenge will
be compleated just as long as you get the needed points.
PRIZE: Police, Skull and Jacket Zombies available as Playable Characters

2-A Flock Around the Dock
GOAL: Hurray! Duck hunting season opens today. Seems there's plenty of
action going on down by the waterfront. See if you can bag 100
in 5 minutes.
TIPS: One of the best things to do in this Challange is to Camp out on
some Uzi's so that they Spawn and refill your supply. Now, one
thing that Game Makers are yet to make is a Smart Bot. Now sure
they are getting smarter as the games get more complex, but they
still run after you when they know that they are under-equiped.
That's the good thing about this Challenge, they just keep on
re-spawning and coming for you. Now find a place where an Uzi
spawns, and back yourself into a corner somewhere to protect
your back and just wait for them to come. If you try running
after them, then you will find that your wasting to much time:
1. Trying to Find them
2. Doubling back when you kill them and the respawn on the
other side.
3. Having to aim in the air to pick one off.
PRIZE: Duckman is now available as a Bot.
2-B Dock Duck Shoot

3-A Tin Man Trial
GOAL: If I only had a brain... Trouble is, every other tin man out
there on the streets is thinking exactly the same. Can you grab
the brain in a box and keep hold of it for 1 minute.
TIPS: Best thing to do in this situation is the find the Brain, nab it
and then find a hideaway without being shot. Sounds easy enought
but it aint. What you need to do is watch your radar, and when
you see that the brain is in your local area, spring out of
where ever you are hiding and nab it. Now for the hard bit. Best
thing to do is make sure you have a good weapon, and run
somewhere that you can have your back against the wall and the
other bots will have to come around the corner to get you. Now

GAME TYPES
DEATHMATCH - Kill as many combatants as possible and try to avoid being
killed. The person or team with the most number of kills at the end
of the game wins.
PLAYING TIP: Some people prefer to keep moving whilst others prefer
to hide and wait.
BAG TAG - The game begins with a bag placed at a random location on the
map. You pick up the bag by running over it; it will stay in your
possession until you are killed. The player or team who has been in
possession of the bag for the longest total time when the game ends
is the winner.
CAPTURE THE BAG - Each team has a bag, and a base that appears as a
circle on the floor in their teams colour. The objective of this
game is to infiltrate the other teams (either human opponents or
bots) base and steal their bag. The bag will be coloured the same
as your opposition. Once the bag has been captured you must return
to your own base as soon as possible. If you are shot, you drop the
bag. Of course your enemy is attempting to steal your bag so you
need to decide when is best to defend and when best to attack. If
your bag is captured you will need to hunt down the enemy who is
holding the bag and kill them. If killed they drop the bag. You
need to collect the bag to restore it back to its original location
in your base.
PLAYING TIP: Collectingyour own bag will automatically transport it
back to it's original position - you do not have to carry it
back through the level.
KNOCKOUT - The aim here is to collect an object from a certain location
in the map and return with it back to the start point. The person
or team who has collected the most objects by the time the game
ends is the winner.
PLAYING TIP: If you shoot the opposition and they are carrying an
object then they will drop the object. You can collect the
dropped item thus saving you time.
ESCORT - The object of this game is to ensure the saftey of an item as
it travels throught hostile territory. You must repel ALL enemies
and prevent te item from taking on too much damage.
LASTSTAND - Your objective here is to stay alive as long as possible
whilst protecting bases from hostile attacks and all the time
against increasingly difficult odds. The player or team who
survives the longest is the winner.

ARCADE AWARDS LIST
This part is still incomplete as I'm re-arranging the information in
this section. There is only 46 awards here meaning that if the
developers were smart they would make a nice even number of awards, if
they didn't then I am wrong and I just insulted them (sorry I didn't
mean it). So if you have got any other awards that are not here could
you please inform me of them. Thanks :)

Armour
GETTING: Basically when you are playing grab the
Armour when you don't need to get it.

GETTING: You can get this one easily if you are in
a long narrow hallway with a bunch of bad

GETTING: Grab as many dirrerent weapons and try to
finish the game with more than enough ammo

GETTING: Just do the same as you did for the

no-one else.

you [D]
GETTING: When you know that someone is shooting at

it looks like you are trying to dodge
bullets.
Fists of Fury MEANING: Beat everyone only with punches [A]

| MAP MAKING |
·-----------------------------------------------------------------------------·
Ok here is the best bit about TimeSplitters (well maybe not the best bit,
but it takes the cake I think), Making your own levels. Even though there
is a restriction to the amount of floorspace you can take up (if you look
at how many different levels you can span upon, it seems very stupid to
have such a small limit to make levels with, a waste of non-used space).
So what's the point to having a Map Making function then, well the obvious
reason is the ability to make a very evil level where you can hunt down
your friends with ease because:
a) You know the level backwards since you created it.
b) You can make it so disorientated that your firend wander around
aimlessly while you pick them off from a secret alcove.
c) Because your evil and love having an unfair advantage.

LIGHT - Lighting plays a major part in a game, you can set
the mood, play games with players by making the lost,
etc. To go into the Lighting Menu press X off a tile.
You will see your pallete on the left. This has 16
colour positions that are all adjustable by selecting
the colour in the palette, and then pressing X again.
This will bring up a colour spectrum. Just move the
cursor around and select the colour you want. Then
you can adjust the brightness or darkness of the colour
by using the vertical slider on the right of the
spectrum.
Once back to the menu you can choose what type of
lighting effect you want. Here is a list and the
details for all the lighting effects.
ON: The light remains on all the time in the selected
colour.
OFF: No light is present at all. Nice for traps.
FLICKERING, SLOW: As the description says, it is a
flickering light, in the colour that you picked.
The flickering rate is slow, well dah.. :P
FLICKERING, MEDIUM: Same as Flickering, slow, but the
light flickers abit faster.
FLICKERING, FAST: Same as Flickering, medium, but the
light flickers faster.
SWITCHING, SLOW: Switching is just on and off, from
normal colour to the chosen colour. The speed
between the change for this one is slow.
SWITCHING, MEDIUM: Same as Switching, slow, but the
time period between switching is faster.
SWITCHING, FAST: Same as Switching, medium, but the
time period between switching is faster.
PULSING, SLOW: Pulsing, is different to Switching, in
that the colour gradually fades smoothly into the
selected colour depending on what rate it is
selected on.
PULSING, MEDIUM: Same as Pulsing, slow, but the time
period between pulsing is faster.
PULSING, FAST: Same as Pulsing, medium, but the time
period between pulsing is faster.
When you place down a lighting effect that isn't ON or
OFF, you can select a Phase by pressing the Circle
button, this will tell the lighting how long to wait
before it can do the effect again. There are 12 phases
that appear in the 12 segments of a clock in the data
bar at the bottom of the screen.
MEMORY BAR - This shows you how much memory you have free to
build your maps. Watch this as if you get low and you
havn't put items in it can be very frustrating trying to
pick and choose what parts to leave out.
BUTTON INFORMATION - This will just show you what abilities you
have while using the Map Maker in different modes. Pretty
straight forward.
MAP CUSTOM ROOM TIPS:
Here are a few things I like making into a map:
THE LONG PATH TO NO-WHERE:
This one is great make a path that goes 10 or so blocks and then make
it end suddenly. The aim of this is to have some type of weapon that
is highly useful in this situation. Now there are two scenarios here:
SNIPER RIFLE - You can place a Sniper Rifle at the end of the hallway
and camp out there waiting for the enemy to run down the
hallway to No-Where. They should be greeted at the
enterance by a trigger happy sniper.
ROCKET LAUNCHER - Hide a Rocket Launcher somewhere in the level and get
it. Now make it's presence know, and try to scare
your friend down the hallway. With No-Where to run
when he hits the end, the only way out is a Rocket
where it hurts most.
There is another version of this that you can try. What you need to do
is make the path not straight by close in upon itself, like the pattern
on a Snail's shell, so that the end is in the middle and the person who
goes down has to come back out turning corners every so often. What you
neet to do is mark the enterance of the path with a special item be it
Major Health or something like that. When a friend collects the Major
Item (being you will see/hear it) you know they have taken the bait and
are running down the path. Now depending on how long the path is, you
only have a limited amount of time before they figure out that they are
going in circles, or they find the dead end. Station yourself looking
at the enterance and use the radar to know when they are about to turn
the corner and let the bullets/explosives fly, and you have one very
mad opponent.
CROSS ROAD WITH ONLY ONE WAY OUT (THE SNAIL TRAIL)
Ok the deal with this one is to have the Cross-Road style tile down.
Now of the of the exit you make the path curl around clockwise like a
Snails Shell. Having three like this and also one like that but doesn't
curl right up and actually goes out of the trap, will confuse most
people.
Another thing you can do is do a multiple level of this where the place
where the Snail Shell ends have it go down a level to the same thing
yet with an anti-clockwise Cross-Roads trap that has three path's in a
a Snail Shell and one that just has the ordinary ending. This means
that if they go into the first level of the Snail Shell Cross-Roads
Trap, that they have a 1/4 chance of finding the right exit (some
people will remember what way they came so this stat isn't 100%
correct). But if they go down the level, get muddled up by the trap
down there then, when they get back up they are disorientated and that
1/4 chance is randomized and is 1/9 chance of finding the correct exit
from any enterance from the lower Cross-Roads.
CRAMPED (Designed by Bill__Gates)
Basically this is a complete level, but has the ability for fast fun
gameplay. Below is a Map of how the level is layed out.
·---·-----------·---· Where the X's are you place the weapons, no
| X X | heath, as this level you won't live that
| ·-------· · | long. Make all weapons 'Scifi handgun', the
| | | reason being for this is that bullets will
| · | | richocet everywhere killing everyone. Set

MOVING LIGHTS (From Ara Shirinian)
By configuring the phase of flashing lights in a specific way, you can
create the illusion that the lights are moving up or down a hallway. It
looks really cool, but it can be quite distracting. To set it up,
create a hallway made up of segments only one unit wide. THis is
important because the one-unit segments will allow for the most number
of lights in the smallest space. Next, assign to each light the same
colour. Finally, assign a different phase sequentially to each light so
that the difference between the phase of adjacent lights is only one.
This is the key step that creates the illusion of movement. It's also
possible to get real fancy with the ordering of phases to make it appear
as though some lights are moving in one direction and others are moving
in the opposite direction. The type of light you use will change the
effect slightly, although it's most dramatic when you use Switching,
fast lights. Flickering will make the movement erratic and Pulsing will
make the movement smooth.

| FAQs |
·-----------------------------------------------------------------------------·
Q: Can you unlock other Levels or Stages with the a Cheat on ?
A: No. Simple reason is that if you were able to do this then the game
would be too easy. Even if the game is too hard to start with, cheating
just ruins the gaming experience. Cheats are only in a game to make the
game fun, not to make it easier.
Q: Where can I get the GameShark2 for PS2 ?
A: As of this date (15/01/01) to my knowledge the GS2 is not out in stores,
but it will be soon from what www.gameshark.com and ps2.ign.com are
saying. SO hold tight, and when it comes out I will have more
information.
Q: Can you copy Timesplitters info from one memory card to another ?
A: The answer to this is No. I havn't seen any way possible unless the
DexDrive can do it. If anyone finds out mor information on this could
you please email me and tell me how to do it.
Q: What is the maximum amount of bots you can have at any time which
doesn't experience slowdown in multiplayer?
A: Any amount of bots can generate "slowdown" while playing, it just
depends on what is actually happening, say you had 4 people playing and
4 bots and you all had miniguns, and you were all shooting at the same
time in the same place. Because of the overload of data, this will slow
down the game. It can happen anywhere on any setting, well maybe not
anywhere but you get what I mean.
Q: Can you get the extra characters/cheats in 2 player or just in single
player mode?
A: To my knowledge, I am still to try this out, you can only unlock
characters in single player and not co-op.
Q: I have noticed a little Red and sometimes White Box on my screen, What
is it?
A: This is just telling you that you have some sort of Mine attached to
your character, and your pretty much going to die when it goes off.

| TIMESPLITTERS 2 WISHLIST |
·-----------------------------------------------------------------------------·
This section is a breack down of a tread on the GameFAQs Forum about what
players want to see in the Next TimeSplitters Game if there is ever going
to be another one, which I hope that there will be. Well this data is not
in any way official information on TimeSplitters 2, it's just a Wish List,
nothing more nothing less.
Character/Bot Editor
Basically have a menu where you can customize bots and add different
features. Here are some different ideas.
Change Character/Bots Stats:
Health
Speed
Accuracy
Have ability to make people fully there team color like in Perfect
Dark, bit if you want to you can still have the triangle above
there head with there team colour on it.
Smarter bots not just better accuracy. Smart bots to me is good
enough one's to beat the crap out of me. Also a ablity to change
there AI style example Cop, FBI, Psycho etc so when you put it
on Cop the bot will act like a real cop, if you can remember
this feature was also in PD.
Bot Naming.

Map Editor
The map editor is one of the best features in this game but it just
lacks some features that are needed in games like these. Here are some
Ideas that people have suggested.
More Tiles.
Unlimited Pieces.
Unlimited Memory (Or Max MemCard Space).
More Backgrounds.
Customize Tile Pieces.
Windows and other Wall Objects.
Ground Objects Boxes, Desks etc.
Doors, Elevators
Outdoor Tiles

Scenario Editor
Along side with the Map Editor there should be an ability to create
your own levels with storylines. Here are some Idea's that people have
suggested.
Import Created Maps.
Create a Storyline with characters that you can actually talk to.
Add BIG BAD villans, and not just the ordinary ones.
Make your own scenories and save them and have built in one's so
you don't have to set the damn game up every time example to
anyway that hasn't played PD Close Combat-Would be a battle with
little guns or no guns on a very small map and would have a large
amount of bots etc, the only thing you get to set up on the
scenario would be the amount of bots.
IDEAS BY: Argonaut, DarkNovaTheUltimate5
InGame Features
Some people say that the gameplay also lacks some things. Well here are
some ideas that people have said.
More Levels to Story Mode.
Better Balance in Difficulties.
More Modes in Arcade Mode.
Add 'Capture the Flag' and get rid of 'Capture the Bag'.
Escort is pretty good but they should run or have the ability to
shoot.
The Ability to Jump. Button 'O'
Extra Melee Weapons:
Normal:
Crowbar
Sticks/Bats/Clubs
Golf Clubs
Knives
Axe
Sledge Hammer
Power Tools:
Chainsaw
Cordless Drill
More Weapons.
Alternate Fire do something Different.
More Gun Turrets.
More Blood.
Magnum as a Weapon.
Save Deathmatch Settings.
FMV's.
Player Numbers over Head while in Multiplayer.
Fix up the bug that causes Bot's not to punch.
When there are no guns on the level bots still play.
A punch Animation so you can see when someone punches.
Some original gadgets.
Special Items like Combat Boost, Super Shield, Invisible Suit etc.
Original Levels such as:
NHL Arena
NFL Grounds
Moon Surface
Better Collision Effects.
Power Ups.
AI needs Boosting.
Ability to blast through walls.
More interactive levels, bullets damage walls to make gas spray out
AI effected by lighting and other gameplay conditions, ie smoke etc
Speach in Deathmatch. Bots say stuff.
Duck twice as low.
Bot commands so that you can tell Bots on you team orders.
Timer Display in Deathmatch.
