A. INTRODUCTION
Hey, welcome to my first ever FAQ. Wheeeee. Okay, enough of that. This
guide is going to eventually cover the whole game, including Free Play, but
for now it is simply to cover the Bust Out career mode. Also, in order
to save paper and bandwidth, I will not be including stuff that doesn't need
to be here. No control summary, no descriptions of what the various skills
and motives are... read your manual for that. This is just to cover stuff
that's NOT in the manual. Also, I have no intention of being fascist about
this - if you have a better (or easier, or different, or whatever) method
for any challenge, let me know. I will add it and credit you as requested.

C. THE MISSIONS
This section contains the requirements and suggested completion strategies for
all of the EVENT-based missions. Those are the missions the require you to do
certain things and pass certain tasks independent of your career. The rewards
for advancing through your career will be summarized at the end of each house,
while the details for what's needed in your career advancement will be covered
in the 'The Career Paths' section of this guide. Also, the three 'Family
Missions' will be briefly talked about prior to the level in which they are
unlocked.
Each house write-up will list:
Theme -- just the theme which the designers used to set up the lot
Resident(s) -- the names of residents, plus the Social Interaction which
you will learn when you befriend them for the first time
Promotions -- the career paths and levels to which you can be promoted
while living in this house
Malcolm Steals -- this will list the two items which Malcolm Landgrabb
will show up to zap when you first move on to this lot
Suggestions -- things to take into account when you first move to a lot
in order to make your stay easier and more comfortable
** MISSION TITLE -- what the mission is called
Method -- the requirements for completing the mission, and my suggestion
on how to prepare and execute the goal
Reward -- what you will unlock for completing the goal. This could be an
item, a social interaction, or a vehicle.

Method: Wait until Mom cooks a meal, then grab a plate. At some point before
your meal is finished, this goal will complete.

** USE A TOILET TO EMPTY YOUR BLADDER
Method: Self-explanatory.
Reward: Maid Service is now available on the phone.
** DO FUN STUFF TO RAISE YOUR FUN LEVEL
Method: There area few ways to do this, but the easiest is to sit down and
watch TV for a while. After the bar goes up a bit, you'll pass.

just talk. Once she accepts the invitation, you're done, you don't
even need to greet her.

** CLEAN UP THE MESS
Method: Interact with all the junk piles to clean them up, or just hire a
maid and wait for her to do it. This objective is done once all the
garbage piles are gone.

** VISIT MIMI'S PLACE AND GET HER TO PULL YOUR FINGER
Method: First you have to complete 'get to know Dudley better' to obtain
the required social interaction. Once you have it, click on your
vehicle and choose 'Visit'. Go to Mimi's house. Click on Mimi and
find your new 'Pull My Finger' interaction. Once done, you can go
home or stay, it's up to you.

Method: You just need to 'Repair' the Espresso Machine (unless other things
break before you get that done). I suggest getting a few points of
Mechanical skill before trying. 2 or 3 should be fine.

Suggestions: The worst problem with Goth Manor is the kitchen. First of
all, there's no fridge. I don't remember what else is missing,
but that's a pretty glaring omission, so go get yourself a
refrigerator right away. Most of your other needs are met, but
you may need some skill-building items, depending on your career
path.
** MAKE FRIENDS WITH BELLA OR MORTIMER
Method: Get your relationship with either resident to 50 or more. Of course,
you planned on doing this anyway, for their signature social, right?
Reward: Signature Social of resident.
** CONTROL ANOTHER SIM BY PRESSING THE L2 OR R2 BUTTONS
Method: Press the change Sim button. At this level, you will only be able to
control your own Sim and the resident of the same gender.
Reward: 'Tell Story' social interaction
** BUY $1000 WORTH OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE GOTHS
Method: You need to buy something to improve the kitchen, so this should take
care of itself.
Reward: Spectre Detector Seance Table (Miscellaneous - Fun)
** EXORCISE THE GHOSTS BY HOLDING A SEANCE
Method: First, buy the $1000 worth of improvements to unlock the Seance
table. Now, buy the Seance table and put it where it was. Choose
it and pick 'Contact Spirits'. This has to be done at night. You
can do it with any resident. You'll have to complete this action
several times to get every ghost.
*** WARNING *** Exorcising all ghosts MAY cause problems later
in Pixel Acres. I will confirm and update later.

** FIND THE FERN THAT WAS STOLEN FROM THE GOTHS
Method: Visit Dudley's Trailer at any time. At the back of his lot, near
an abandoned car, is a big plant (the fern). Choose it and select
the 'Steal Fern' action.

Suggestions: There's almost nothing to do here for fun, or for comfort.
You'll want to immediately invest in some things to remedy
that. Bedrooms and kitchen are functional. There's only
one shower, but I worked around that. You may want a second
one. Not too much fixing up required.
** MAKE FRIENDS WITH ARTIE OR CHARITY
Method: Get your relationship with either resident to 50 or more. Of course,
you planned on doing this anyway, for their signature social, right?
Reward: Signature Social of resident.
** CONTROL ANOTHER SIM BY PRESSING THE L2 OR R2 BUTTONS
Method: Press the change Sim button. At this level, you will only be able to
control your own Sim and the resident of the same gender.
Reward: 'Sissy Fight' social interaction
** BUY $1000 WORTH OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE STUDIO
Method: There's not too much obvious to buy here, so if you buy some fun
or comfort items, spend well to get the total over this target.
Reward: Beejaphone Guitar (Skill Building)
** HAVE A GREAT ART OPENING BY REARRANGING THE ART
Method: Your actual objective here is to get 5 people in the same room
and have that room rating be 90 or higher. Now, there's a lot of
art here that pulls up room ratings, so you have two basic ways:
bring the people to the art, or bring the art to the people. So,
either get a group fun activity in one of the front rooms (the
left one is best, as it is already over 90), or move all of the art
into the kitchen and serve a meal. Managing your guests movements
is tricky, which is why I prefer just moving everything to the
kitchen. Make sure the kitchen is clean, though.
Reward: KraftKing Potter's Wheel (Skill Building)
** VISIT MIMI'S PLACE AND MAKE SURE MIMI IS OK
Method: This is harder than it sounds. Your objective is just to visit Mimi
and clean up her garbage... but she spawns a lot of garbage on your
first trip. And here's the thing, if you fail, and don't get all the
garbage on your first visit, it will still be there when you go back,
PLUS it will spawn more. So do this right the first time. First,
make sure she has Maid service (move back in if you have to and hire
one). Second, be in a good mood in the morning. Third, get to
Mimi's BEFORE 10:00am, so that the maid will arrive. If you do all
those things, then it should be a snap. I only stress this because,
trust me, this is one you definitely want to finish on the first
attempt.

Suggestions: There's no bedroom here yet. There's a back room off of the
kitchen which is sitting empty, though, so use that. Also,
there's nothing here to improve Creative or Logic which you'll
need for two of the career paths, so you may want to get
something for that, too.
** MAKE FRIENDS WITH GOLDIE OR MAX
Method: Get your relationship with either resident to 50 or more. Of course,
you planned on doing this anyway, for their signature social, right?
Reward: Signature Social of resident.
** CONTROL ANOTHER SIM BY PRESSING THE L2 OR R2 BUTTONS
Method: Press the change Sim button. At this level, you will only be able to
control your own Sim and the resident of the same gender.
Reward: 'Snap Towel' social interaction
** BUY $1000 WORTH OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE GYM
Method: Just creating a bedroom should take care of this.
Reward: Flush Force 5 XLT (Plumbing)
** GET FOUR SIMS TO JOIN TOANE'S GYM AS MEMBERS
Method: Three conditions need to take place in order for a Sim to join the
gym: a party must be underway, they need to be in a good mood, and
they need to be in a good relationship with you. Now that's all
very tricky, so the good news is, you don't need to do them all in
one day. You can work on people one at a time if you like. When
you're ready to invite somebody, call them over, start a party, and
then try asking them as soon as they get there. If they decline,
feed them and let them have some fun and ask again. Once you get
four people total, no matter how long it takes, you're done.
Reward: Turntablitz DJ Booth (Skill Building)
** GO TO DUDLEY'S TRAILER AND PARTY
Method: The requirement for passing this mission is to have a relationship
score of 5 or more with EVERY person at the party. So, go to your
car and 'visit' Dudley, he will start the party as soon as you get
there. Start off with some social eating to get a few points and
then just use the 'Talk' option with every guest. Don't queue them
up, though, because you want the guests to go about having fun until
you're ready for them, but if you queue them, they'll stop and wait
for you. One 'Talk' interaction is good for anywhere from 3 to 9
social points, usually, so just once with each guest should be
enough. You will get your reward the instant you succeed, so until
that happens, keep mingling!

IV. Marriage
------------
When you move in to one of the Level 4 houses, a new goal becomes available
called "Get Married". This can be accomplished on any level 4, 5 or 6 lot
and once completed will be marked as done for each of those 7 houses.
You cannot marry any of the storyline NPCs. You can only marry a resident
of one of the three lots on 'Free Street', If you have not entered Free
Play mode yet, then there will be two houses available to Visit and Phone:
1 Free Street: Candy Frutti, Debbie Frutti, Ginger Frutti, Pamela Frutti
2 Free Street: Peter Tutti, Rod Tutti, Woody Tutti, Ziggy Tutti
If you have played with Free Play mode, then those lots will be transferred
as is to Bust Out mode.
Marriage is just a matter of getting romantically involved (relationship 70+
with a heart symbol), inviting your target over, getting them in a good mood,
and then using the 'Propose' interaction. If you're seducing a Sim of the
same gender then the 'Propose' interaction will change to a 'Move In' option,
but they both accomplish the same thing.
Once you are married, you can switch control to your spouse using the 'Change
Sim' buttons (L2 and R2 for PS2), and you also share family friends with your
spouse (for the purposes of career advancement), so if your spouse makes a
friend, that's your friend, too.

Theme: Love Shack
Residents: Randy Hart (French Kiss)

Promotions: Counter Culture/Gangster, Levels 6 & 7
Malcolm Steals: Love Bed, Love Tub
Suggestions: With the stealing of the Love Bed, that brings the grand total
of places to sleep at the Casa to a whopping zero. So go bed
shopping right away. You'll need places for yourself, Randy
and Paisley. Losing the hot tub is bad, too, as you now don't
have any source of fun that won't also tire you out, so you
might want to fix that up as well. Since space is also at a
premium, I like to build an expansion wing (second bedroom and
bathroom) right across the hall from the existing bedroom and
bathroom. You'll notice the cut-out size is exactly equal to
the size of the existing bedroom/bathroom, so you can just
match it all up.
** BUY $1500 WORTH OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR CASA CALIENTE
Method: This should look after itself once you get the bedrooms set up.
Reward: Sham-Shag Polar Bear Rug (Decorative)
** FALL IN LOVE / INVITE YOUR LOVER OVER
Method: If you're already in love, then just call to invite that person over.
If you're not already in love, then work on a relationship. Once
it's at 70+ with a heart, you'll get your prize.
Reward: Hawaiian Fantasy Tiki Torch (Lighting)
** SCORE WITH TWO SIMS AT THE SAME PARTY
Method: When you're at Casa Caliente, you'll see a new social option become
available called 'Try To Score'. First of all, this only works at
parties, so don't bother unless there's one going. Second, this
interaction is basically a French Kiss social, so only try it on
somebody that you could get away with kissing (heart relationship,
good mood). Third, because it's a romantic relationship, it will
cause jealousy if other lovers are in the room. With all that said,
You just need to start a party, get your lovers in a good mood, and
then draw them off individually to try the interaction. Guests
usually spend their time out by the pool, so it's safest to try it
in the living room, using the 'Call Over' interaction to get them
there.
Reward: 'Romantic Kiss' social interaction
** GO TO STUDIO 8 AND HELP WITH THE "OUTSIDER ART"
Method: You need at least three hours for this, but it's not terribly
difficult. Just make sure you have a decent Creativity rating and
head over to the Studio. When you get there, start painting on the
easel in their kitchen. When you finish the art, if it's good
enough, Artie will tell you and you'll get your reward. If it's not
good enough, you can try again, or work your Creativity some more
and come back and try again.
Reward: That 70s Window (Build Mode - Windows Tool)
Unlock: Goth Manor - Visit
** FIND A NEIGHBOR WHO KNOWS ABOUT CANDELABRAS
Method: First, you have to accomplish the 'Score With Two Sims' mission in
order to unlock the Romantic Kiss social, and you also need to have
Goth Manor unlocked, so if you haven't already unlocked it from a
previous career path, then do the 'Outsider Art' mission. Now all
you need to do is develop a romantic relationship with either Bella
or Mortimer. Once that's done, simply go over to Goth Manor and try
the Romantic Kiss interaction. If all goes well, you'll get the
reward.

Suggestions: This place needs some serious fixing up. There are no bedrooms,
there are no showers or tubs, and the only source of cooked
food is a toaster oven. And worse yet, there's no room to put
any new stuff. So you'll definitely need to haul out the
construction gear here. The yard is big so you should have lots
of room to build your living quarters. You'll basically need
to build and buy everything for two full bedrooms, two full
bathrooms and a full kitchen and dining area, minus the fridge
which you already have. Fortunately, after that, the club has
all you need for your enjoyment pleasure.
** BUY $1500 WORTH OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CLUB
Method: Piece of cake. Building the expansions will cost you at least ten
times that amount.
Reward: Bounce My Booty Dance Floor (Electronics)
** FALL IN LOVE / INVITE YOUR LOVER OVER
Method: If you're already in love, then just call to invite that person over.
If you're not already in love, then work on a relationship. Once
it's at 70+ with a heart, you'll get your prize.
Reward: KlassiKlean "More-saic" Tub (Plumbing)
** THROW THE ULTIMATE DJ DANCE PARTY
Method: Re-install that dance floor as soon as you get it. Make sure one of
the Sims at the club has a 7 (or preferably higher) in Creativity.
The objective here is to get 5 people on the dance floor while your
master DJ spins those wheels of steel. Throw a party, get your
Creative person to 'Spin' at the DJ Booth. Once you got the music
going, get the other Sims at the house to go 'Dance' on the dance
floor, and then start clicking on the guests to join you. This one
should be a snap.

** FIND OUT WHAT'S GOING ON AT TOANE'S GYM
Method: Hopefully you have Toane's Gym unlocked already. Head over for a
visit, but make sure you have a decent Body rating or you'll likely
fail. All that is required of you is to do three Triple Jumps in a
row off the High Dive. If your body is high enough, this one is a
yawner.

Personally, I like to upgrade the kitchen to finish this one, but
do what you like.

Method: If you're already in love, then just call to invite that person over.
If you're not already in love, then work on a relationship. Once
it's at 70+ with a heart, you'll get your prize.
Reward: Bird Of Paradise (Build Mode - Plants Tool)
** SHOW OFF ROCKET GNOMES AT "LAUNCH PARTY"
Method: First thing you need is Rocket Gnomes. Rocket Gnomes are built on
the Inventor's Workshop bench (there's already one in the Lab), but
only if you have a Mechanical Skill of 8 or higher, otherwise you'll
just build regular gnomes. Choose any way you like to build your
Mechanical up, but if you've got a ways to go you might want to go
with the Tesla Coil (which Malcolm steals at the beginning and is
unlocked by the first Mad Scientist promotion in the Lab), which
imparts Mechanical knowledge much faster than the books or the bench.
Once you have that Mechanical up, start working on the bench. If
your gnome is blue/green then you're not there yet. When you build a
red/yellow gnome with sunglasses and scuba gear, that's your toy.
Build five of those. Now, when you're ready, start a party. Once
the party gets going, go into Buy or Build mode and move your gnomes
outside, in a row. Go back into the game, and pick them to 'Launch'
one after the other. As long as there is a party on, you'll pass,
you don't actually need to call anybody over to watch.

** FIND OUT WHERE THE CONTAMINATING SPORES ARE COMING FROM
Method: Hopefully, you've unlocked Goth Manor already. Head over there. They
have several giant ferns in their yard, like the one you stole from
Dudley's. Steal one from them. Done.

** GO TO STUDIO 8 AND CHANGE THEIR MINDS ABOUT SCIENTISTS
Method: If you haven't already unlocked Studio 8 from a previous career, then

that either, then you'll have to come back later. Once Studio 8 is
unlocked, you now need to do the Launch Party mission to get the
necessary social interaction. Once that's all out of the way, you
just need to head over to the Studio and use the 'Hypnotize' social
on either Artie or Charity.

spartan, nothing luxurious, but that fits the theme. You can
upgrade the beds if you like, but I'd focus on the kitchen.
They only give you a microwave, so getting a stove in there
is a fine idea. Otherwise, things are pretty good.
** BUY $2000 WORTH OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE OCTAGON
Method: Since there's not much you need to buy, you'll have to get creative.
Buy some nice kitchen upgrades if you need to get it right away,
but better yet just wait until you unlock Miss Gyrotic, which you'll
want to re-install immediately.
Reward: Atlantean Column (Decorative)
** MISSION: ELIMINATE SENATOR LANDGRABB
Method: The actual requirement for passing this mission involves reducing
one of Malcolm's motives to zero. This is tough, as most Sims
(including Malcolm) will just go home before that happens. So, you
need to do one of two things. One, you can artificially prevent him
from leaving, by walling him in somewhere, building a fence around
him, whatever. And then waiting. Or, you can find an activity that
will instantly reduce him to zero. An efficient way to do this is
to beat him up, but if you haven't been working on making him an
enemy then this could take a while. The best way to do this is to
unlock Miss Gyrotic (through the Mad Scientist career path). Then,
when you invite Malcolm over, program the robot for 'Defense'. The
robot will immediately seek out Malcolm and attack him, satisfying
this mission.
Reward: $5000
** MISSION: FIND AND SHUT DOWN THE HACKERS
Method: This is far too easy for such a high level building. Just head back
to Shiny Things Labs, find any computer there (there are three - two
in the lab and one at the front desk), and choose to 'Steal
Computer'. That's it.
Reward: Spartan Special Desk Lamp (Lighting)
Unlock: Club Rubb - Visit
** MISSION: FIND AND SUPPRESS ANTIWAR PROTESTORS
Method: This is a travelling mission to Club Rubb, so if you haven't already
unlocked it, you'll need to complete the "Shut Down The Hackers"
mission to get Club access. You also need to have a decent Body
rating, of at least 6, preferably higher. Fortunately, the Octagon
has a perfectly good AbDominator to help you with that. Once that's
done, head over to the club. All you have to do is 'Attack' either
Bing or Mona. Don't worry, the option will appear in the social
list no matter what your relationship with them is for this mission.
Provided you win the fight (this is why you need the high Body), you
will get your reward.
Reward: Toy Parrot by FauxFriend (Decorative)
** MISSION: SEEK AND DESTROY BIO WEAPONS
Method: Another easy mission, assuming you can get to Goth Manor. Head over
to the Manor and locate the Incubator that's in the little shed
behind the house. Choosing it reveals a 'Destroy Bio-Weapon' option.
This will consist of kicking it to the point where it needs to get
repaired. Collect your reward.

to consider is that since you're living outdoors, all your
garbage is now going to affect your outdoor room score, which
will kill your mood going to work (and all the time, really).
A full kitchen upgrade, contained within a "dining tent" (just
a separate building) is probably a pretty good idea. And get
a fun activity quick until you unlock the stuff Malcolm stole.
** BUY $2000 WORTH OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR PIXEL ACRES
Method: Just making this place reasonably easy to live in will cost at
least that much. Shouldn't be hard.
Reward: Hot Spring Conversion Kit (Plumbing)
** FRAME MALCOLM AND GET HIM BUSTED FOR INDECENT EXPOSURE
Method: There are two basic methods to this that I know of. One is to use
the built in, and unique to Pixel Acres, 'Get Free' social inter-
action. You need to have a decent relationship with a Sim to have
them accept your 'Get Free' offer... but if you can get five other
Sims to accept while Malcolm is around (must be a party) then he'll
join the fun. Much easier is just to acquire the Pixel Booty song
from the Goth Ghost mission (described below), buy a synthesizer for
Pixel Acres, and play it while he's there.
Reward: $5000
** SEDUCE SOMEONE AT CASA CALIENTE
Method: Hopefully you made friends with one of the residents of Casa before
you moved here. All you have to do for this mission is get a
romantic relationship going with either Paisley or Randy (this may
take a few days if you haven't done it already), then head over to
Casa for a visit. Once there, find the bearskin rug and choose to
'Relax'. Once you're lying down, find your target and get them to
'Join'. After a little chit chat, eventually some more physical
fun will take place. Once they've done some kissing, just cancel
your 'Relax' action and you'll get your prize.

Unlock: Shiny Things Labs - Visit
** FIND SOMEONE INTERESTED IN CHASE'S SECRET FORMULA
Method: This is a multi-step process. First of all, you must befriend Chase
in order to learn his 'Tell Secret' social interaction. Second,
you must be able to get to Shiny Things Labs, so if you haven't
unlocked it from a previous career path, then do the "Seduce Someone
At Casa Caliente" mission. Once you have that done, then the rest
is easy - just head over to Shiny Things Labs and use the 'Tell
Secret' interaction on either Vaughn or Makino and you're done.
Reward: Boomtown Redwood Table (Surfaces)
Unlock: Goth Manor - Visit
** FIND OUT WHAT "GHOST" OF A PROBLEM THE GOTHS ARE HAVING
Method: The only requirements for this mission are to have a Creativity of 9
or higher, and to have unlocked Goth Manor for visiting. If your
Creativity is too low, work on it. If you haven't unlocked Goth
Manor yet then doing the last two missions will unlock it for you.
Once you get both of those goals, head over to the Manor where the
Goths while start complaining about their haunted synthesizer.
Take that hint and head over to the synthesizer... as long as your
Creativity is at the required level, you will get a message saying
that you have acquired the ability to play the "Pixel Booty" song,
and you'll get your reward. The Pixel Booty song is a song that is
only played on the synthesizer, and it will cause anybody in the same
room where it's played to immediately remove their clothing. While
this is more of a gag than anything else, you will find it extremely
useful in the 'Framing Malcolm' mission in this section.

** BUY $2000 WORTH OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE HOUSE
Method: A second bed and a new TV should easily do it, unless you're really
cheap. Don't be.
Reward: Constructed Table (Surfaces)
** GET MALCOLM TO PUT YOU IN HIS BIG MOVIE
Method: There are a few ways to do this, but all of them have to take place
at the 'Celebrity party', which you must throw. The first way is
just to muscle it out of him. Lower your relationship with him,
get in a cranky mood, and choose the 'Attack' interaction when it
appears. Provided your Body is higher than his (he starts at 3, so
that's not tough) then you win and he'll give you the part. The
second is to get your roomies to help. If you can get one Sim with
a Creative rating of 9+ to play an instrument, and another with
Charisma 9+ to work the microphone in the same room, and get Malcolm
in the room listening to them, and you've established a friendship
with him (50+ relationship) and his mood is positive, then you can
just 'Ask For Movie Role' and he should accept. But that's a lot of
work. My preferred method is to just to raise your personal
relationship level with him to 90+ and ask him. Your relationship
needs to be at that level before the party starts, though, for
that to work. And, of course, he has to be in a good mood. But if
you're feeling adventurous, go ahead and try one of the first two.

** FIND OUT WHERE YOU CAN SCORE A RED POOL TABLE
Method: You'll need a Body skill of 7+ in order to win this, the higher the
better. Once you get there, head back to your old home, Club Rubb,
and zero in on the red pool table. Start playing then find Bing
and get him to 'Join'. Let them play for a while, it won't take
long, and you'll get the message saying that you beat Bing. You're
done here, back to the house.

** FIND A GOOD SCI-FI MOVIE SCRIPT
Method: If you haven't unlocked Shiny Things Labs yet, then go ahead and
beat Bing at pool (the previous mission) to get it open. Now, head
over to the Lab, but make sure you're in a good mood or you won't be
able to do this mission. Once you get to the Lab, find the main
laboratory (with the VR glasses, Tesla Coil and Inventor's Bench).
In one corner of the lab will be this weird looking device that's
supposed to be a brain in a jar or something. You'll know you found
the right object when the 'Steal Script' interaction is available.
So, do that. Steal Script. Mission accomplished.
Reward: Cypress Tree (Build Mode - Plants Tool)
** MUSCLE THE MUSCLE AT THE GYM
Method: First, you need Toane's Gym unlocked, hopefully it is already.
Now, all you need to do is head down there. Once you get there,
find either Max or Goldie and select 'Attack'. You don't need to
have a negative relationship with them already, the option will
appear no matter what. And don't worry about your Body rating, you
don't even need to win. All you have to do is start a fight. Sure,
losing hurts your mood, but you have to be pretty tough to beat the
gym dudes, so just take your lumps and go home with your new prize.

Suggestions: When you first arrive here, you'll get a little cut scene
with your mom chasing Malcolm away. This can be good and bad.
First, you get the house to yourself. Yay! But Malcolm does
not ever move back, so even if you move out later, you can't
come back to visit him here, all there will be is an empty
house. Second, there's no additional income, and the three-day
bills for this pad are over $6000. So really, do what you
need to do and get out. Fortunately, the house "as is" doesn't
really need any work, it's got it all, so have fun.
** NOTE ** There's a really annoying side-effect of the path-finding
algorithm that manifests in the mansion. It seems that any Sim
that is already outside will choose to stay outside to get to
their bus rather than calculate the absolute shortest route.
What that means is that somebody who is standing by the pool,
near the kitchen door, in the back yard, will choose to walk
all the way back around one wing of the mansion and then all the
way to the front of the building again rather than just go
through the two doors in the front foyer. This may not bother
you, but it bugged me enough that I just took that whole entry
way out so that there were just two separate houses with a path
between them.
** SHOW OFF YOUR FORTUNE AND UPGRADE THE MANSION
Method: Just spend $20,000 on various things. This can be spread over
several stays, doesn't have to all be done at once. There's not
much that needs to be purchased, so just upgrade things here and
there.

** SEND YOUR CHILD TO PREP SCHOOL WITH STRAIGHT A's
Method: First thing you have to do is have a kid. Let's assume you've done
that already. Now, your kid's letter grade will fluctuate
depending on how seriously they seem to be taking school. Every
time your kid goes to school in a good mood, they'll go up one grade
(not a full letter grade, just one notch, like from a C to a C+).
Every time they miss scholl they drop one full letter grade (three
notches). So make sure your kid goes to school. Also, any computer
or bookshelf will have a 'Study' option, which can also increase
letter grades, good for speeding up advancement or for making up
for a missed day, or even complete home schooling. If you drop to a
'D', you'll get a warning about military school. Hit 'F' and you'll
lose your kid. The flip side is that if you can maintain 'A' or
better for three straight days, you'll get a pretty sleek new ride.
