This is simply a guide with the locations of video game clichés throughout the
game. I would imagine that you would only be using this guide if you need help
finding their precise locations. Obviously, by using this guide, the cliché
locations as well as the clichés themselves will be spoiled, ruining the
humor. I recommend that you use this guide when you just cannot find them.

Near the very beginning of the tutorial, when the White Rabbit tells you to
double jump after the marshmallows to reach the upper level, do as he tells you
to unlock the first video game cliché.

"What would video games be without switches and levers? Original."
Near the end of the tutorial level at the giant cake, there is a lever in the
middle of the area. Pull it to receive the second video game cliché.
After getting Bart and Homer into the area with the giant chasm that you must
cross, step onto the circle on the right side of the bridge to get the third
video game cliché.
"You just spent three hours to get one item. A life well-spent."
After making a bridge and crossing the giant chasm at the beginning of the
level, step on the pressure pad on the left side of the bridge (on the far side
of the room). A hidden door is opened in the back left part of the room. Go
inside the newly-unlocked room and take Homer's bottlecap. On the way out of
the room, you get the fifth video game cliché.

You receive the sixth video game cliché by simply starting this level.

After stepping on the two red buttons to dismantle the first piece of logging
machinery, continue on to the next area. As you approach the giant saw blades,
you are credited with the seventh video game cliché.
"An invisible barrier. Sorry, your precious game doesn't go on forever."
From the very beginning of the level, before turning to the left or the right,
head straight forward to hit an invisible barrier. It takes a few moments of
running and jumping into the barrier, but you eventually get the eighth video
game cliché.
"Yes, waste your youth looking for secret passages in rocky tunnels."
When you arrive at what appears to be the parking garage, head to the lower
level and destroy the crack in the wall behind which you find one of Marge's
collectibles to get the ninth video game cliché.

potent foe?"
Towards the end of the level, when you get on the red catwalk, defeat the
enemy wearing the red robe to get the tenth video game cliché.
"Trampolines. Where have those been before? Oh right, everywhere."
After defeating the enemy with the red robe, look off of the back of the
catwalk to see several trampolines going up in rows. Jump onto one of them to
get the eleventh video game cliché.

From the beginning, use Bart's slingshot to shoot the first and lowest hatch on
Lard Lad to reveal some of his wiring. Hop onto the lowered hatch and press
Triangle while facing the wiring to get the fourteenth video game cliché.

game cliché.

In the final level hub (where you find "Medal of Homer," "Neverquest," etc.
talk to Mr. Frink. He puts you through a pretty lame tutorial giving all of the
Simpsons new abilities and you receive the seventeenth video game cliché.
In the final hub of the game (the one housing the entrances to levels such as
"Medal of Homer" and "Neverquest," approach the door with the four slots for
key cards to receive the eighteenth video game cliché.

In the Simpsons' living room, get in front of the computer monitor that is
facing the brown couch. Face it and press Triangle to use the rift portal back
to the final hub and to receive the nineteenth video game cliché.
