A Must Read:
------------
This name of the F.A.Q. explains what it is about. If anybody have anything
to add, please do so. Otherwise... do not bother.

 Bigger, Badder and Better!

======================================================
First - General Changes:
======================================================

-------------
Neo Geo Mode:
-------------
1- No credits anymore, so you can lose and continue as much as you want.
-
2- No Difficulty Level when you choose to play. It shares "some" of the same
options that are in Re-Bout Mode.
-
3- No code is needed for blood. It is already in.
-
4- Neo Geo Mode gets some "new" neat options (shares them with the Re-Bout
Mode, of course).

P.S: Needless to say, there is NO loading between the rounds or what-so-ever as
in Re-Bout Mode (not the Neo Geo system in the options... do not
misunderstand). That is why it is the Neo Geo version.

-------------
Re-Bout Mode:
-------------
1- New opening animation. It is about 35-40 seconds (or more, it is long). It
shows every team, icluding Rugal and Kusanagi Saisyu then some fast battles...
some characters perform their favorite moves, like Ryo performing Zanretsu Ken
(quarter circle backward + A or C) on Goro.
-
2- Additional staff team on the Re-Bout.
-
3- New P.G and L.F. (Power Gauge and Life Bar) and your score records.
-
4- New backgrounds that are in 3D. Every stage has three versions. In each
round you get one... morning, evening, night and some of them have rainy or
foggy weather. Also, each stage has three positions... left, middle and right.
Sometimes you play in the left side of the stage and cannot reach the middle or
right and sometime you play in the middle and can reach a bit of the left or
right side. That means one thing, and that is the stage is huge. But that does
not apply to some stages like Brazil or any moving stage.
-
5- Remade graphics/sprites, but not from scratch. The sprites have been cleaned
up real good. But nothing new about the frames/frame-rate. When you evade
(A+B), the screen moves with you to right/left... just a bit. You can circle to
the whole stage by doing A+B constantly.
-
6- Some characters have "little" changes in their moves. Mostly those who have
high priority in their Special Moves (further explanation below).
-
7- The Super Moves flash now. Which means if you perform the Super Move, the
screen will flash and stop the opponent movements for second and then the
character will unleash the Super Move. This adds a lot of new strategies, of
course. Some useless Super Moves have become greatly useful because of it.
-
8- The controls are a "bit" tight (that means more). Some moves and Super Moves
have to be done accurately... like Heidern's Super Move, Final Bringer. Also,
the super jump (better than high jump) is harder to do than before.
-
9- New modes. The most bright one is the Network Match (Online).
-
10- A lot more SNK characters are shown in the backgrounds.
-
11- Your combo hits are shown in the screen now. So you are able to know if you
did a combo or not.
-
12- The endings "seem" to be cleaned a bit.
-
13- Two new playable characters in Single and Edit Modes (not Team Modes). They
are Rugal and Kusanagi Saisyu. They are in from the start. No code. The only
theory I could come up with Kyo's father appearance in this game is "when you
reach Rugal with Japan Team, you will see Kusanagi Saisyu beat up by Rugal. So,
that is why they put him in... because he was there!"
-
14- New Character Select and Player Select screen.
-
15- The players order you choose to play your three characters is invisible. As
it said in the cover of K.O.F'99 (Neo-Geo or Neo-Geo CD), "Fight fair and
square!" Moreover, your characters will not cheer for you in the background...
yet, you can call for help when you get dizzy. AND FROM ANYWHERE (cheap).
-
16- The most wanted feature in any game (especially K.O.F'96) is in... which is
Random. ^_^
-
17- New announcer (the old one was better... much better).
-
18- You can either play with the O.S.T. or A.S.T. background music (Original or
Arrange Sound-Track). The A.S.T. is from the Neo-Geo CD version.
-
19- Characters do not get dizzy from "two hits and a fire-ball" combination
attack anymore (ONLY in Vs Modes... in other words, when you play with another
friend). It needs more than that. However, you will STILL be able to get the
CPU dizzy by the old well-known combos. So this applies only to the Vs. Modes.
-
20- The damage is a bit weaker now, BUT heavier (a lot heavier) if your
character's L.F. reaches the red zone. Add to it the charge and good day to
your opponent. Before, it did not matter unless you charge.
-
21- When you lose and want to continue, you will not play against the same team
that defeated you. It will go random...

21- Needless to say, some glitches/bugs have gone... but sad to say, the most
powerful/broken ones are still in (good morning, Heidren).

Game Option:
++++++++++++

***********************
First - Battle Setting:
***********************
1- System - Neo Geo or Normal. Here where the Neo Geo Mode (old version) gets
completely useless. Because you can change the system to Neo Geo and play with
the old backgrounds, glitches and everything except the P.G., L.F. and
announcer are still the same as in Re-Bout. Also you can play with the A.S.T.
(Neo Geo Mode, you cannot). For those who are misunderstanding, Neo Geo Mode
(in the main menu) and Neo Geo (system) have slight differences, but plus ones.
-
2- CPU Level - from 1 to 8. The two versions share the same CPU Level. Re-Bout
CPU is the same as the old Neo Geo version. CPU might be tough for new comers,
but nothing new to old timers. Rugal is still weak.
-
3- Play time - 30, 60, 90 or infinite. For both versions.
-
4- Defense Level 1P 4. For both versions.
-
5- Defense Level 2P 4. For both versions.
-
6- Power Gauge 1P - Normal or Max. For both versions.
-
7- Power Guage 1P - Normal or Max. For both versions.
-
8- Gauge Display - On or Off. For both versions.

*********************
Second - Key Setting:
*********************
1- Vibration - On or Off.
-
2- Select Button to default.
-
3- Do whatever you want to your conttroler/Joystick. There is "Command" that
can help you to perform the Super Move by only pushing the button once.

************************
Third - Graphic Setting:
************************
1- Screen - Type A or B (small or wide... as in zoom in)
-
2- Position x - +05
-
3- Position y - +00
-
4- Focus - Normal or Soft

***********************
Fourth - Sound Setting:
***********************

-
2- BGM (background music) - Normal (as in arrange) or Neo Geo (as in original)
-
3- BGM Level - From 1 to 8.
-
4- BGM Check. You can listen to all the tracks here (21).

**************************
Fifth - Character Setting:
**************************
You can color edit every character here. Even Rugal Bernstein and Kusanagi
Saisyu.

****************
Sixth - Ranking:
****************
You can see all your scores here.

**********************
Seventh - Save & Load:
**********************
1- Save. To Save your game.
-
2- Load. To load your game.
-
3- Auto Save - You can turn it On or Off.

**************************
Eighth - 10th Anniversary: (The History of K.O.F.)
**************************
1- Section "Orochi". Here, you can watch the history of Orochi and know what
happenend to him, his followers or enemies. Everything in Japanese. The
announcer voice acting reminds me of the Samurai Spirits' one (pretty good).
Plus, the story will be told by him, Yagami Iori and Kyo Kusanagi (voice
acting, of course).
-
2- Section "NESTS". Here, you can watch the history of NESTS and know what
happenend to it. Everything in Japanese. The announcer is a bit sleepy. The
story will be told by him, K' and Kula. I did not watch all of it, because the
I did not like the story in the first place. So, I skipped it.
-
3- 94 Re-Bout Opening. You can watch the long opening anytime you want.

S.C.: All I can say is the Orochi storyline started in a good way and was
going great until the last match with Orochi. I was disappointed to the limits
when I saw him and then "played" against him. In one word, bad. The NESTS
storyline started very badly and I was really bothered with its characters
(those who must be in for the heck of it), but I must admit it ended in a
good way. Igniz was good. Better than Orochi in miles, miles away.

======================================================
Third - Gameplay - General Information:
======================================================
Both versions share the exact gameplay. But as a reminder, I will list
everything. And there are things that are not clear to some guys, even old
timers (I have met some)...

1- Fatal Fury characters can walk slowing while they are crouching. Very useful
against turtles.
-
2- Art of Fighting characters can perform their Super Moves freely without the
P.G. (I mean their Art of Fighting Super Moves, not Hidden Super Moves). Robert
and Takuma family with the Haoh Shoh Koh Ken, and King's Double Strike.
-
3- You can evade fireballs or attacks by pressing A+B at the same time.
-
4- CD attacks can be done also in the air. You will see the D attacks, but
they are CD attacks that knockdown the opponent when they hit.
-
5- The game has two kinds of jumps. Normal/high jump and super jump.
-
6- You can dash forward or backward (as in hop forward or backward) by doing
double forward or backward. You can do Ryo's Koh Ken when you dash backward,
that goes to Robert Hien Ryuujin Kyaku or any other air Special Move. On a
special note, Brian can do his Screw Body Press while you dash forward. It goes
straight so fast and good for combos. It needs a good reaction to counter it.
-
7- "Fatal Fury" Counter Attack can be done by doing forward A or B (do hold
back first just to make sure) when an attack is about to hit you. The
invincibilty window is as long as it ever was in the Fatal Fury series (except
in Real Bout 2 and Mark of the Wolves of course, because they become Special
Attacks done by pressing A+B).
-
8- You can charge your power by holding ABC.
-
9- You can call your friend for help when you get dizzy or when get choked
(like Goro or the like) by pressing ABC at the same time. In the Re-Bout
version, it can be done anywhere since there is no body there to cheer for
you... but in the Neo Geo version, you have to be in range that the characters
can see you or they will not help. Even if you can see the first one's clothes,
he will help. If the characters are knocked-down, then they will not help
(you can forget about it in K.O.F'96 if you choose the Boss Team, because
they do not care and will never do).
-
10- Super Moves are done by either charging your P.G. or when your L.P. reaches
the red zone.
-
11- The CD counter attacks (the ones that take one Power Stock in the new
K.O.F. games) are different here, you can do any Special Move as a counter
attack (we call it "Alpha" here) if you defend more than three/four constant
attacks (like crouching Bs or As). Just when you defend, do your best move and
you will counter.
-
12- You can tease your opponent by going a bit far then press the C button.
This has a good side, if the opponent starts to charge, tease to lower his/her
P.G. If you lower it very fast, press C then cancel by doing forward or
backward. So, press C then cancel and fast press it over and over again when
needed. When Heidren fully charges without you lowering his P.G., then you can
kiss the fight good bye. Be warned...
-
13- Sometimes, performing a Special Move and then pressing the BC button will
make your character perform another Special Attack. I do not know if this was
attentional or not.

======================================================
Fourth - Combination Attacks:
======================================================

For a complete list for the combos, check Galen Komatsu's Addendum F.A.Q.:
http://db.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/file/king_of_fighters_94_addendum.txt

I will list the only other two left:

****************
Kusanagi Saisyu:

cornered)
-
5)Yami Barai, crouching D (corner... good for set-ups)
-
6)Yami Barai, Orochi Nagi (D, DB, HCF + C)

P.S. Combo No. 3, you have to knock the opponent down first, then perform the
Yami Barai right before the opponent gets up to take advantage of the recovery
time.

****************
Rugal Bernstein:
****************
1)Reppu Ken (from far, QCF + A), Demon Press (F, DB, DF + BC)
-
2)Reppu Ken, Kaiser Wave (QCB + C) or Genocide Cutter (QCF + B) or CD

-
12)Reppu Ken, super jump, jumping D, crouching B, standing D (cancel first

P.S. For the second combo, you have to perform everything from a distance. For
combo No. 7 and below, you have to walk a bit between the Reppu Kens.

======================================================
Seventh - Glitches, Bugs... Tricks:
======================================================
Most of you know them... so I will make it fast:

-------------
Neo Geo Mode:
-------------
1- Heidren's 50% Moon Slasher damage by trading hits (charge).
-
2- Super Damage by throwing the enemy and doing the Super Move before the
opponent touches the ground (Athena, Brian and so on).
-
3- Instead of the missing frame after a missing command throw, the character
cancels the frames and able to continue (must cancel something to another).
-
4- Heidren's 100% Storm Bringer damage. Two having 1% L.P. left, charge, ending
it with a Storm Bringer and must not gain any L.P. from it and do the Moon
Slasher right away (or trade-hit Moon Slasher for a better option). Round 2
charge, Storm Bringer, good night.
-
5- Super Jumps are well-known that they were not attentional. Can't see them in
the Mook, too.
-
6- Some characters are able to perform double fire balls without one leaving
the screen to do the other. Mainly Ryo with his ground fireball then do
anything fast and go into the air one.
-
7- Sometimes when you try to do some moves with the BC, another kind of
constant attacks come out instead. I do not exactly know how to perform this
bug, but I say and done by mistake several times.

-------------
Re-Bout Mode:
-------------
1- Heidren's 50% damage glitch.
-
2- Super Damage throws.
-
3- Screwed up canceled throws.
-
4- Super Jumps (harder).
-
5- Double fireballs.
-
6- BC mini attacks.

P.S. I did not try Heidren's 100% Storm Bringer in the Re-Bout version yet to
write it, but I will soon. Speaking of which, there are OTHER glitches but I
cannot remember. Good that I recorded them back in the old days. I will be sure
to find the tape and watch it again to write the other glitches. Until then...

======================================================
Eighth - Character Changes & Information:
======================================================

*************
Ryo Sakazaki:
*************
Other than his three hits combos (make the opponent dizzy), there are no
changes... they do not make the opponent dizzy anymore, in Re-Bout version.

Ryo is still as tough as the old version. His Kohoh is unbeatable if done
"deep." Which is right when the frame is about to connect.

He plays the "Koh Ken and Kohoh" tactic pretty well. His crouching D helps a
lot in the mid range fights.

He is the slowest one when it comes to performing the Haoh Shoh koh Ken. you
need to perform it when the opponent is down. And it does okay damage and eats
all kinds of fireballs, but not as fast as in the Art of Fighting series.

His air Koh Ken is fast with the A or C button. His Ryuuko Ranbu goes through
fireballs. His crouching Bs really hurt sometimes (to the opponent, I mean)

By the way, you can end the Ryuuko Ranbu with a short Kohoh by doing the
Special Move with the A button right before Ryo performs the final blow.

**************
Robert Garcia:
**************
Robert is the same as Ryo. No combo that makes the opponent dizzy in the
Re-Bout version.

Robert is almost as fast as Takuma when performing the Haoh Shoh koh Ken. But
his Koh Ken is slower than Ryo and Takuma together.

His Kohoh can be pretty good if done as in Ryo's section. Also, take high
risk when he performs the Hien Ryuujin Kyaku since the Super Moves flash in the
Re-Bout version, but it all depends on the character he is facing.

Hien Shippuu Kyaku with the B button and from a good range is always safe.
Just like Ryo and Takuma.

You can end the Ryuuko Ranbu with a short Kohoh by doing the Special Move
with the A button right before Robert performs the final blow.

****************
Takuma Sakazaki:
****************
Takuma is the first guy in the game who is capable of doing a combo that
dizzies the opponent in the Re-Bout version.

Takuma is completely safe when he performs his Koh Ken, but there is a
recovery time so all he needs is a good time to perform it and keep himself
away from danger.

Takuma's main problem is that he does not have the Kohoh like his son and
Robert. So, he needs to control the match to avoid being controlled by the air
jumps. His crouching C is good but distant jumps beat it.

His Haoh Shoh koh Ken speed is great and he performs it really fast, but you
still have to do it carefully. It eats almost everything. And can be done
freely.

His Hien Shippuu Kyaku is great for combo or dizzy combos for that matter.
His ground play is solid and he can cross-up easily, but his only problem is
those who jump a lot and that is where the player has to play mind games.

Takuma is more good than he is because of the glitch in the game that allows
those who have special command throw to cancel their attacks in those specials,
but when they do not connect you will not see a missing frame, but the
character will be able to continue moving and attacking like nothing happened.
So, Takuma takes advantage with this glitch by doing Shoran Kyaku constantly
after every attack. Buffer and die.

You can end the Ryuuky Ranbo with a slow Haoh Shoh koh Ken by doing the
Special Move with the A button right before Takuma performs the finishing blow.

********
Heidren:
********
Heidren saves his teammates by miles and he can do it pretty well. Actually
he puts most of the cast to shame with easy tactics. All that because of his
glitches that the "user" (not opponent) cannot avoid.

Moon Slasher in the Re-Bout version is a little bit beatable than the old
version. That is good news for many. But he is one tough dude with the glitches
and proper strategy.

If Heidren manages to charge then leave the controller/joystick for your own
sake. Three glitches will be automatically activated. ^_^

Enough with the glitches. Heidren is the best when it comes to defensive
tactics. His "Cross Cutter, crouching D and Moon Slasher" tactic is enough to
make you feel limited with no options to face him. That is good.

Also the Neck Rolling is good enough to get those who abuse the fireballs.
His upward D is very useful. It is tricky since you have to defend both hits
back not low. Because the first hit is mid but the other is low.

The Storm Bringer does good damage and it can be used to buffer it into
something else. This is one of the major glitches in the game (still in the
Re-Bout version). He can jump D (let's say you are defending), standing C,
Storm Bringer (now will buffer), then crouching D or jump back to be safe.
Simple as that.

Heidren is good in every way. Good that now he cannot dizzy the opponent with
his combos. The only two things that are not as useful as the other attacks are
CD or Final Bringer. Other than that, he is good... very good.

************
Clark Still:
************
The range to his Super Argentine Back Breaker is better in the Re-Bout
version than the old one. Believe me. You would not notice it if you did not
play the game long enough.

Clark depends on mind games a lot to do well against anyone, and therefore he
can throw as much as he can. The buffering glitch does not work well with Clark
in the Re-Bout version, unlike the old one.

And since his three hit combo does not dizzy the opponent anymore, he has
more troubles than before. Doing the double dash forward and then command throw
or Super Move tactic does help sometimes. But he feels nowhere against his
General.

His CD is nasty... his jumping D is nasty too, especially when the opponent
jumps and you jump backward doing it. Bad, real bad!

***********
Ralf Jones:
***********
Ralf now takes complete advantage of the super flash system. Now his Super
Move is more useful than before. There is invincibility window in his Super
Move since the old version, so that helps too.

His main goodness is the far C and the buffer glitch. Abusing it means good
going, buddy.

His Vulcan Punch is good when the opponent is cornered or when you do it with
the close jumps, but depends on the attacks..

************
Kim Kaphwan:
************
The CPU walks and then Hien Zan, I swear! Sorry, I had to say it. ^_^

Hisho Kyaku leaves Kim open to long range attacks and especially Super Moves
since they flash now!!!

Hien Zan for anti-air attacks. But waiting for the opponent to jump is no
good tactic since you do not have what it takes to make the opponent attack
you... and that is "a fireball" for you!

His crouching As or Bs into Hien Zan hurt a lot. Also, his Super Move is fast
enough to punish anyone. And can be done in the air, too! Way to go, Kim.

************
Choi Bounge:
************
This guy suffers from his own Special Moves and Super Move. They are useless
in every way you use them, except the Hurricane Cutter.

His best thing is that he can jump really high and he can reach you from a
distance, but nothing special about him.

His cross-up C is good to start a decent combo, but he cannot dizzy the
opponent with it anymore (Re-Bout version).

His Super Move is useless due to recovery time and the LONG start up. He even
goes backward before performing it. And that is a big warning to the opponent.
And when he finally performs it, the opponent does AB and good day to Choi.

*************
Chang Koehan:
*************
His best thing is that the damage he does in his attacks is really high. He
can charge and then "jumping D, crouching C, Iron Smash" and you will have
nothing left in your Life Bar (you still live, though).

Well, that is good... but what is wrong with this fella? He is slow and a big
target for combos or constant attacks. His Iron Spin does not help much since
it starts so slowly.

So, he needs someone who jumps backward and forward a lot, but well... that
is bad against Ryo, Heidren, Terry and the like.

His Super Move is damaging, but he also runs (heh) so slowly. The flash in
the super helps greatly if done close and early enough.

*************
Kyo Kusanagi:
*************
He is not that tough anymore since all his combos do not make the opponent
dizzy anymore. But the damage makes up for it.

He depends on the "Darkness Sweep and Demon Burn" a lot. And his Darkness
Sweep is good if done deep.

His air down + C comes out fast and shuts up most of the powerful moves in
the game, but it has to be done from a good range.

His Super Moves is better now because of the super flash. It was greatly
useless before.

************
Benimaru N.:
************
You can never play him better than now or in K.O.F'95. His moves look way
better.

His crouching Bs into Iai Geri hurt like hell. Also his Vaccuum Kick can be
good to trick your opponent to attack and then you cancel it with the ABCD and
then do the Super Move.

His Super Move is good in any way you put it. Covers a good range and comes
out a bit fast. Without it, he is a big air attacks target.

************
Goro Daimon:
************
Goro has what every character needs to balance his power. And that is good
Normal Attacks.

Most of his frames are well done. His Special Moves are balanced. Goro does
not seem to be either too weak or too strong, he is balanced in all around.
Something that does not happen with every character.

The only funny thing about him is his C button normal throw (choke). They
call it "admission" (at the Arcades)! So whenever they see Goro choking, they
scream "ADMIT, ADMIT, ADMIT YOUR SINS." Things afterwards do not get seriously
at all. ^_^

***************
Athena Asamiya:
***************
Where do I start and finish? The glitch has not been fixed, so Athena likes
throwing a lot for the sake of damage.

Other than her Psycho Ball and Butt Attack, she does not have many things
under her sleeve. She is wide open to air attacks since she does not have
decent anti-air Special Move. The only problem when her Life Bar reaches the
red zone or when she charges. Her Super Move is a very good anti-air and she
will be able to take complete advantage of the glitch.

Things afterwards need mind games and great tactic to throw or control the
match. She gets better with the red L.P. or charge. Also, her upward C is good
against air attacks. Her Butt Attack is not completely safe with the new super
flash addition, but good enough against air wars or some slow characters.

***********
Sie Kensou:
***********
Kensou is so fun to use. He is well in all around.

He covers himself when he performs Cho Kyuudan, and recovers so fast that he
can react with the Ryuugakusai if needed.

His crouching D is good to cancel and it has mid reach. He is good at
cancels. The best thing about his Ryuu Renga is that it does good chip damage
and if it misses the opponent then he will stop at once. He can no longer dizzy
the opponent with his three hit combo, but it is still good to use.

His Super Move comes out fast and good for anti-air, but against the super
jumps (for far away). All in all, he is good at defense and offense.

************
Chin Gensai:
************
Chin's problem is that he is so slow and there is no hops in the game, so
when he jumps then he is just asking for painful punishment.

His CD is very good as an anti-air attack. Also the Demon Spirits is good as
an early anti-air Special Move, just needs good reaction. And it helps to start
heavy combos but the problem is to get close to do it.

His Super Move is now more useful due to the new system with the supers.

*********
Heavy D!:
*********
Did you notice that his anti-air attack has little invincibility now? ^_^

If you do not like it, stick with the old version. Blast Upper is still good
if the opponent is about to do something. R.S.D is good to not let the opponent
breath. Doing it after each attack is good for chip damage.

Soul Flower can still be combo(ed). He can be attacked with some characters if
he abuses it. And his Super Move still has LONG invincibility window, but LONG
recovery time.

Also his forward C is an over-head attack. So you can trick your opponent by
either doing crouching D or forward C.

Guy 1: DAMN! His heavy D really HURTS!!!
Guy 2: That's why he's called "Heavy D!"

**************
Lucky Glauber:
**************
Lucky can trick his opponent by doing standing C into Death Bound, he will
pretend that he will throw the ball but instead do far C. Neat!

Cyclone Break is good for anti-air attacks. And when he is having a serious
time being attacked, he can get away with the Lucky Vision Special Move. Thus,
he will be able to start performing Death Bound or the Super Move when he
needs to.

The Super Move is no longer THAT good against close attacks as it was. The
long invincibility is way shorter than before but hella good against air
attacks. Best thing is that he ducks when he performs it.

**************
Brian Battler:
**************
Brian did not have dizzy combo since the old version but he could do real
good against top characters.

His air down + C attack is very good to shut up ground attacks. It is all
about Screw Body Press. It can be done by dashing and he will be really FAST
when he performs it. Thus (a big one), he will be able to combo after it.

He can easily do standing C (two hits) and then the Super Move. The Super
Move itself does nice chip damage but can be avoided easily by doing AB in the
right time (if defended, that is). His Super Move is fast and eats some
fireballs and attacks as well.

Screw Body Press can be used for cross-ups, safe run (dashing backward then
Screw Body Press). He crouching D is good in some point, but he does not need
to be attacked, so it is better to move around constantly.

Also, even with all that, when he is really screwed then the glitch will help
him a lot. Not hard with him, really!

**************
Yuri Sakazaki:
**************
Yuri does Haoh Shoh Koh Ken a bit slowly. Her best bet is Smasher Wave and
the well-known glitch.

Her crouching C and D are good. Her Koh Ken is useful at some point.

She is about mind games and how to make the 100 slaps effective (G). The more
you do not screw around with her moves, the more you do well.

*****
King:
*****
She has the exact story as Yuri's, but longer and better.

You can abuse her Venom Strike and Double Strike easily, but you need to keep
in mind that you will open up other options and that is where you have to be
ready for them.

It is always a good thing to perform Double Strike when the opponent is down.
Her crouching D is good (slide) against mid air attacks or the crouching C for
that matter.

Her Super Move goes through some fireball, especially the low ones. It does
SERIOUS damage.

*************
Mai Shiranui:
*************
Mai still needs a decent anti-air attack. She can play with her Butterfly Fan
for sometime and use Dragon Flame Dance in close battles, but other than that
she has to cross-up and chip damage as much as she could.

Her Super Move comes out pretty fast, so good for combos or punishing mistakes.
Her Musasabino Mai can be avoided easily by the AB evade. She still has her far
As... mid reach and fast, but not good to abuse. Need something more heavier.

Best Mai in any K.O.F. game is still 96.

*************
Terry Bogard:
*************
Fatal Fury team is really good. All of them are good in their own ways.
Nobody weakens the other.

Terry can combo ALL his Special Moves and Super Move... just like his
brother, Andy.

Terry can easily abuse most of his moves and still not get punished. Like
doing his Burn Knuckle from a good range (A), Power Wave and then wait from the
opponent to do a mistake to do Rising Tackle.

Crack Shoot... Crack Shoot is just good. Don't wanna fight? Crack Shoot.
Turtling? Crack Shoot. Having a good time? Crack Shoot.

His Super Move is a very good anti-air and it links after easy normals. Like
standing C (even waiting after two hits). He can walk while crouching and when
you move, Rising Tackle.

Who is that? That is Terry Bogard for you, son.

************
Andy Bogard:
************
 Same case as his brother.

Andy is fast by abusing his Zaneiken. He can reach those who run away a lot
at ease. Zaneiken is safe as in recovery, but you have to be extra careful
against those who have Dragon Punch/Shoryuken moves.

Shoryuudan and his Super Move are good for anti-air. His Super Move does good
damage if done correctly. More hits means more damage.

And he has the "Hishoken and Shoryuudan" with him. His crouching C is good
for starting strategies or combination attacks.

************
Joe Higashi:
************
He has the "Hurricane Upper and Tiger Kick" tactic. He does not have dizzy
combos anymore.

Joe's main power comes when his Life Bar reaches the red zone. He can perform
Hurricane Upper and then the Super Move after a second (Hurricane Upper is stil
not out yet).

He recovers so fast after doing the Super Move and the Super Move does good
damage. His slide is good to abuse against high air attacks.

****************
Kusanagi Saisyu:
****************
All I can say about this guy is that he plays a bit like Kyo, but with more
minds games.

You need to react fast with the Fireball and Dragon Punch tactic. Play him
the same way you do in K.O.F'95.

Nobody likes to play the Edit Team Mode here. So, I cannot use him against
anyone.

Saisyu over Kyo any day of the week.

****************
Rugal Bernstein:
****************
This guy is overpowered to the limits. His jumping + D is the same as
Heidren's upward + D.

His Reppu Ken stuns the opponent greatly. He can easily come close and do
standing C then Reppu Ken and CAN still follow-up with anything he wants. He
even can walk a little and then do the same combo again.

His Genocide Cutter (B) is good and safe in some way (R). And his choke does
pity damage. Kaiser Wave covers a big area. His standing C has what?
ONE FRAME?!

His Dark Crystal Reflector does not hit the opponent like Athena's. It only
reflects all kinds of fire balls. Also, the damage he does is not that great.
It is weak (except for his Super Move) and he takes a lot of damage, but
still...

Talk about the frame-rate in the game all you want, but stop when it involves
Rugal. Good that nobody likes using the Edit Team Mode. He is not playable in
the Team Modes.

P.S.: Many background characters from the Neo Geo version appear in the Re-Bout
version as well (not fighting characters, I mean background characters). The
most worthy to mention is the judge funny guy in the U.S.A. stage (old version).

S.C.: The funny thing is Rugal's stage (Black Noah). You will notice many
trophies of those who were "supposedly" defeated by Rugal (I know this one is a
BIG joke and IF but well). The stage has most of the well-known bosses,
starting with Geese, then Wolfgang, Krizalid, Mukai, Original Zero, The NESTS
leader and Goenitz. Okay but... oh wait?! Did I say Goenitz? Did I say
GOENITZ?! The one who was the reason behind Rugal's lost eye and DEFEAT?! You
wonder on and on about Rugal being that good to collect these fine gentlemen
(excluding the NESTS leader) and then you see something in the dark... someone
is still "moving" and "smiling" like he is walking in a park... you take a look
and then Mr. G-Mantle is there. Not even giving a damn about Rugal. Funny! Good
one, SNK-Playmore! Good one! ^_^

D.Y.K.
------
Did you know that the only K.O.F. game that has two running types (forward
and BACKWARD) is K.O.F'96?

P.S. For those who do not know, if you want to run backward (as in escape), do
forward, forward, up-backward and then forward (fast). I did not know it by
mistake (or many of us here), saw it in the K.O.F'96 Gamest back then (it is
not in the Mook as I recall).

Last Words:
-----------
There you have it. If anything is wrong, just send me an E-Mail. Hope there
will be some respect for the hard work.

I join online every Monday from 1 to 2 PM. As Geese. If anybody is good
enough, please join the club. I use any team and anything you want (your terms,
your rules), I just want some challenge in return. Thank you! ^_^

I do not know why do people join just to chat!!!! They remind me of the
Midnight Club 2 guys (online) who were grouping up (clans as they say) just to
fool around and chat, but when they race, they blow! I'm coming back to them
again with my Motorcycle in Midnight Club 3... a loner. ^_^

3)To all my friends for the encouragement.
4)To Galen Komatsu for the F.A.Q's name (couldnot come up with a better name).
Komatsu has the best movelist F.A.Qs layout (K.M. was the best for the in-depth
movelist F.AQs). His movelist F.A.Qs are easy to read and understand.
