1.Introduction
*********************************************************************

master all your skills(that's what FAQs are for anyway,to improve your skills with
help of others). Now sit back and relax and enjoy the FAQ(if you see this document
in any other site, magazine or any other form of media please contact me at
[email protected])

*********************************************************************
2.How To Use Kula and hidden strikers
*********************************************************************
These are the steps to use Kula
1.Place cursor on Whip and press START(don't hold it)
2.Then on Vanessa and press START(down 1 place)
3.Then on Seth and press START(left or move right 8 places)
4.Then on Maxima and press START(left 6 places)
5.Then on K' and press START(right 1 place)
6.Then on the Roulette box(?)and press START(right 1 place)
7.Then move Up,Down
8.Her portrait should appear below the Roulette box

These are the steps to use hidden strikers
1.Highlight the "Another Striker"(the person behind your normal striker)
2.Input the following directions(applies to both players)
-Up,Right,Right,Right,Left,Left,Left,Down
3.Your _Another Striker's_ portrait should be replaced with the hidden striker's
(The following code only works for Ryo,Kula,Iori,Kasumi,Kyo,Ramon,Choi, and Chang

*********************************************************************
3.How To Fight CPU Kula
*********************************************************************
To fight Kula(for battle 4/5/6)get 300 Ability Points or higher after battle
3/4/5.You will know if you are going to fight her because the word "Invasion" will
cover the screen. This won't apply if you are using Kula

*********************************************************************
4.Controls
*********************************************************************
All are for the left side of the screen
qcf - down,down-forward,forward
qcb - down,down-back,back
hcf - back,down-back,down,down-forward,forward
hcb - forward,down-forward,down,down-back,back
dp  - forward,down,down-forward

The following applies to any character:

Charge
-Hold a direction for 2 seconds

A/B/C/D
-In order light punch, light kick, hard punch etc

xx
-Press two buttons at the same time(like AB)

Roll(AB)
-You will do a forward roll(slide for some characters)which grants you
invincibility for a short time,by holding back and pressing AB you will do a back
roll(slide for some characters). If done while blocking you will roll away(roll back
if you hold back, roll forward if you leave it neutral/hold forward)from your
opponent thus escaping from their attacks but it costs one powerstock

Safe Fall(press AB when your just about to hit the ground)
-A quick recovery from a fall.Comes in handy sometimes from any off the ground
Strikers like Joe

Call Striker(BC)
-Call out your 4th character for assistance

CD attack
-A knockdown attack which can be done in the air.If you do this when blocking you
will knock down you opponent thus preventing them from doing their attack but it
costs one powerstock if you do it and it also does no damage. But you can call out
a Striker the moment you press CD

Throw(when near opponent,forward or back + C/D)
-Throws,who can live without them.If you call out your Striker after a throw they
will knock your opponent into the air leaving you for another hit. This process takes
up one Striker stock and powerstock

Throw escape(tap any button before being thrown)
-Stops a throw period. This year you knockdown your opponent instead of pushing them
away. You can call out a Striker after you knockdown your opponent for an extra
hit. This process takes up one Striker stock

Counter mode(ABC when you have 3 powerstocks)
-A mode in which you can do unlimited normal DMs and more damage for attacks for
a period of time. When the timer runs out,you will not be able to add anything to
your power gauge for about 3 or so seconds

Armour mode(BCD when you have 3 powerstocks)
-A mode in which you will not get into hit stun and do more damage(more than Counter
mode)for a period of time. When the timer runs out,you will not be able to add
anything to your power gauge for about 3 or so seconds

Super Desperation Move(motion of any Desperation Move + AC/BD)
-An enhanced version of one of your DMs,the set damage for a SDM is about 50%.When
you finish the SDM you will not be able to add anything to your power gauge though
for about 3 or so seconds

Taunt(press Start)
-Just used to annoy your opponent but this year each time you taunt you are given
an extra Striker stock but it costs a powerstock. Also, you can't just stop it any
time you want like in the other games,so don't do it just because you felt like
it unless you feel suicidal. While in Counter Mode(and maybe in Armour Mode),if you
taunt you will also get a Striker stock but that will decrease the amount of time
you have left for the mode(s?)

*********************************************************************
5.Command Moves
*********************************************************************
One Inch(forward + A)
-Same as K's.Kula leans forward with a punch.Knock down attack unless canceled into

Slide Kick(down-forward + B)
-A slide kick. This has to be blocked low even if comboed into

*********************************************************************
6.Special and Desperation Moves
*********************************************************************
>Special Moves<

Diamond Press(qcf + A/C)
-Kula spits out a gust of ice.The A version is recommended since the C version takes
too long for the ice to come out your opponent can just dodge it.The good thing
about this projectile move is that if it hits a another projectile,it will overpower
the other projectile. So for instance Terry does a Power Wave and you do a Diamond
Press, not only will you get rid of the Power Wave but if your in range the Diamond
Press will also hit Terry

But the C version also do have its good points, where it lacks the start-up time
it makes up for the opponent's recovery time.If the C version hits you can combo
just about anything(within range),like her Slide Kick and her Freeze Execution

Crow Bite(dp + A/C)
-Just like K's.The A version of this move is just like any other anti-air but with
one hit while for the C version Kula runs a little bit forward then goes up into
the sky causing 2 hits,it also travels fun screen.Do not use the C version unless
it's for a combo due to it's recovery time if you miss the opponent

Counter Shell(qcb + A/C)
-A projectile reflector move.Very hard to combo into,it's not recommended you use
this move since hardly anyone these days throw projectiles at you due to their lack
of damage. But if they do throw a projectile and you reflect it(it can reflect DM
projectiles as well)the damage is very good("much as Clark's Argentine Backbreaker"
quoted by Fat Cat Lim).If you used the counter shell on double fireballs(King),it
will reflect the first fireball and overpower the 2nd one.If your in a safe position
from your opponent you can do this to increase your Power gauge since it has small
lag time(but it won't increase the gauge by a lot though). If timed right, this can
also be used as an anti-air

>Desperation Moves(DM)and Super Desperation Moves(SDM)<
^=can be done as SDM
*=has to be done as a SDM

Diamond Edge^(qcf,qcf + A/C/AC)
-Like Terry's Power Geiser.Kula creates a ice berg from the ground to pop up(up
to about her height),very good as an anti-air move. She pops up 3 ice bergs for the
SDM version with the 1st near her,2nd in the middle of the screen and 3rd one at
the end of the screen

Freeze Execution*(hcb,hcb + AC)
-Kula puts her hands in the air and then Foxy quickly dashes towards the opponent
and then a flash of light appears, does about 13% damage if blocked. Looks like
Orochi's qcb + A/C DM from KOF97 except less hits.

This little description of Freeze Execution is from Fat Cat Lim:
"If you block the first hit of the Freeze Execution SDM, you can roll afterwards
to avoid the second hit of her SDM(where when the screen flashes, timing required).
This SDM can be used as anti-air as well, as long as when they jump in close to
the ground, their legs are low enough for Foxy to connect. If you perform the SDM
too early or when they're too high above ground, Foxy will miss them and they will
be able to block the second part of the SDM."

*********************************************************************
7.Striker
*********************************************************************
(Note that Kula does not do a striker move)
Candy
-Comes out with a spinning kick(like those in ice skating)which travels a 2/3 of
the screen

Foxy
-Spits out what appears to be poison(just like Lin's qcb + A/C)that travels full
screen from afar(able to juggle). If you call her when your opponent is close to
you she will attempt a close attack with her sword

Rugal(hidden striker)
-Rugal will jump to where your opponent is and waits a moment and then performs
his Genocide Kick(dp + B/D)from KOF98.Does excellent damage and able to juggle the
opponent after he finishes. The best time to use him is to knock down your opponent
and then call him and don't do an attack since a player is only allowed to block
for a certain amount of time when a striker is on screen so hence an easy hit

*********************************************************************
8.Combos
*********************************************************************
As mentioned in my Clark FAQ I will not include striker combos since there are so
many and too many infinites involving strikers. But the S-Team combos section has
tons of

*=optional
1.Jump D*, Standing C(1st hit preferred), One Inch(forward + A), follow with one
of the following:
-Ice Freeze(qcf + A)
-Crow Bite(dp + A/C)
-Diamond Edge(qcf,qcf + A/C/AC)
-Freeze Execution(hcb,hcb + AC)

2.Jump D*, Standing C(1st hit)/Standing A, Counter Shell(qcb + A/C)

*********************************************************************
9.S-Team Combos
*********************************************************************
These are combos seen in the S-Team combo movies, which were these two very big(71mb
and 35mb)Divx files(they came from a VCD full of combos made by this Hong Kong games
magazine called "Game Weekly").I decided to add this section for those who can't
see them(due to the requirements of the Divx codec)or just couldn't be bothered
to download them. The combos are listed as exactly how it was done in the movies.Enjoy

1.(with Vanessa as Striker and you in corner)
Standing C(2 hits), One Inch(forward + A), call Vanessa when the One Inch hits,
Diamond Press(qcf + A), run up to your opponent and do a Standing C(2 hits), One
Inch(forward + A), Diamond Edge(qcf,qcf + A/C or SDM ver qcf,qcf +AC)[you can
probably also get away with a Freeze Execution if you have 3 Power stocks]

2.Jump D, Standing C(1 hit), One Inch(forward + A), Diamond Edge(qcf + A/C)

3.(with Yamazaki as Striker and your opponent in the corner)
Jump D, Standing C(1 hit), One Inch(forward + A), C ver Crow Bite(dp + C), on the
first/second hit call Yamazaki, wait half a second and then do either:
-Diamond Edge(qcf,qcf + A/C or SDM ver qcf,qcf + AC)
-Freeze Execution(with 3 Power stocks, hcb,hcb + AC)

4.(with Benimaru as Striker)
Jump D, Standing C(1 hit), One Inch(forward + A), C ver Crow Bite(dp + C), just
after the second hit call Benimaru, wait half a second and then do either:
-Diamond Edge(qcf,qcf + A/C)
-Freeze Execution(with 3 Power stocks, hcb,hcb + AC)

5.(Opponent in the corner)
Quick(qcf,up)jump C, Crouching B, Crouching B, Crouching B, Freeze Execution(with
3 Power stocks, hcb,hcb + AC)

6.(with Goenitz as Striker and opponent in corner)
C ver Diamond Press(qcf + C), call Goenitz, walk up to your opponent(whom is
momentarily stunned)and do Standing C(1 hit), One Inch(forward + A), Diamond
Edge(qcf, qcf + A/C)[by now Goenitz's tornado should have hit and your opponent
should be in the sky], wait about half a second and then do Diamond Edge(qcf, qcf
+ A/C)

7.(with Joe as Striker)
Jump D, Standing C(1 hit), Counter Shell(qcb + A/C), call Joe, run up to your
opponent and do Standing C(1 hit), One Inch(forward + A/C), Freeze Execution(with
3 Power stocks, hcb,hcb + AC)

8.Jump C, Standing C(1 hit), One Inch(forward + A), C ver Crow Bite(dp + A/C)
