Well, let's see now...
The comment box is an interesting feature that has been around in Suikoden
games since Suikoden II. From the letters you will read, you'll laugh, get mad,
like or even hate some characters. Sometimes you'll get hints for Unite Attacks
or Bath scenes. Other times you might get hints about characters you can
recruit or letters that'll make you learn more about a character...or just
some gibberish that somehow wounded up in the box....
The comment box in Suikoden V can be found right outside your room(after you
gain your castle that is), it looks like a mailbox.
Anyways, seeing as this is my first contribution to G.FAQS, I do hope that
you'll all find it helpful.

II. The Letters

In this section, as the name implies, is where you'll find the letters. As you
will see, the list is not complete yet. I'm not sure how many letters there
are overall, though I'm guessing they're around 200. Anyways, you'll find
a count of the letters in the list just above the first character, Alhazred.
Note that the list is listed alphabetically by character names.
