1. INTRODUCTION
It's a post-apocalyptic underwater world of the future, submerged by the
shifting of the Earth's tectonic plates and only a third of the land is left
above water. The MELUGUIS GOVERNMENT is taking over this land, so the people
formed the ALLIANCE. You are now in control of the attack submarine CHRONOS
and it's up to you to end this governmental rampage.

The Atlantic Ocean is where you're sent to do battle and choose different
missions. Your pay, total treasure percent and the ability to purchase new
upgrades will be based on your missions grades. >Try to score all A's<

6. TUTORIAL
The tutorial shows you how to maneuver the Chronos, use the weapons, use the
X-Sonar and other techniques.

You can save before and after each mission and replay any of the 21 missions.

8. MISSIONS
I. This is the maiden voyage of the CHRONOS, what you need to do is destroy
ten floating mines to get a little practice, but don't get to close, because
the mines are magnetic. After destroying them you will be attacked by a
heavy class sub, return fire staying clear of the nose and tail.
II. A relic is lost, you need to find it, press the start button to bring up
the map. The relic is hidden in the northern section, so use the sonar to
find the red area and blast the wall to fully clear the relic. 2 middle
class subs will try to steal your treasure, blast them suckers.
III. Destroy five land batteries, they look like domes with guns. My
technique is to charge at them while shooting. After you finish them an
enemy destroyer (battleship) will come from the south, use your missiles and
guns to stop it. Shoot down a big helicopter if you need energy.
IV. Destroy nine floating batteries, the red arrow on the sonar monitor will
point you to them, after you destroy the last one, follow the red arrow to
some fallen rocks. Blast these rocks to save your trapped allies and use the
same weapons to chase away a HAMMER HEAD sub that will attack you.
V. This mission is simple, just make your way to the north end of the cave
and excavate the artifact.
VI. There are four heavy class subs hanging out around the middle of the
area, attack them from their sides. Okay prepare to fight the biggest
gigantor sub you will ever see in your life. First eliminate those 9 big
guns on the top, bottom and sides, then destroy the nose. The sub will come
from the north.
VII. Three control towers on land need to be destroyed, the towers are well
guarded so destroy all you can. Proceed to the middle left area on your map
to finish off four little Drill dum dums. Extra energy can be found above
the hole near the center of the map.
VIII. Six metal plate fragments need to be found, one will be given to you
to get you started. Investigate these areas on your map; the right side of
the dogbone/square shape near the left middle/the 3 dots near top left/the
rectangle near the middle top/and the green spot near top right.
IX. Shoot down five big choppers that carry energy, but leave the center
energy cell for later. Okay it's time to battle the GUARDIAN OF YORE. Shoot
him in his stomach until his mouth opens, now shoot the gold inside, rinse
and repeat. If you need energy go near the cell you left afloat.
X. Find four friends and receive their coded messages. Follow the red pointer
on the sonar monitor or search these areas; the bottom curve on the big S/
the bottom right of the finger pointing up/around the left dot/and the bump
on the far top left wall. Another enemy destroyer will come from the north,
use your missiles to destroy it. That little devil that's a big boss is back
chase him away with missiles and guns.
XI. Destroy nine imperial subs. Side attacks with guns work nice on these
flat cats, get close and let them have it. The MELUGUIS EMPIRE is going to
launch a surprise attack on your base, destroy the subs that are aiming at
your base, but do not leave the base area.
XII. Follow one of them to their base, there's no map for this area until you
find the base. While following the sub it will stop, when this happens stop
also. Grab the energy cell inside the dome cover before entering the base.
Destroy all targets, leave one if you want to explore.
XIII. Eliminate eight massive batteries, get close and shoot between the
barrels. A giant flying fortress will come from the southern area, eliminate
this goose by destroying the wing guns and the open cargo bay, watch out for
falling mines.
XIV. This mission is simple, just protect your friends until they reach the
artifact, then excavate it.
XV. There are seven subs that need a beaten, slap these cats with a couple of
torpedoes. Now prepare yourself for one because you're fighting the.......
SPHINX GUARDIAN, shoot the four energy targets on the legs, then shoot the
energy target on the chest and so on. The only thing I've to say about the
SPHINX'S missiles is "RUN!". [End of Underwater unit]
XVI. Destroy twelve subs and get ready to chase a giant torpedo. The torpedo
is a nuclear weapon, so only use your gun on it. If you explode the nuke,
you'll fail the mission.
XVII. Proceed through the labyrinth and destroy 5 imperial subs, leave one if
you want to look for treasure. Proceed to the large chamber to excavate the
HIDON nuclear torpedo and chase away the hardheaded Hammer that's a ham.
XVIII. Approach the three central command towers and destroy them, watch your
back cause these towers are heavily guarded. It's time to take out their red
flagship GLEIA, take out the nine big guns, then punch it in the nose.
XIX. The MELUGUIS EMPIRE is afraid of you and they're trying to run, you are
the man, you are now the law and now you're in HOT PURSUIT. Catch 2
submersible battleships and knock them out like you did the last 1,
A nuke works well on the nose. Don't fight to map out area.
XX. A mysterious cave was found, you must find 4 mysterious objects (keys).
Map area's; far left bottom vertical tunnel/from the top of the green square
strait up/middle tunnel at the top/far left top vertical tunnel on the
bottom. Bring these four keys to the north chamber, they will unlock the
door. The water pressure will suddenly change and you'll need to extricate
the CHRONOS, so get back to the tunnel you started from.
XXI. Welcome to the PROMETHEAN HOLY GROUND, you need to find the STILLNESS,
but first find ten tablets; make a right and go to top of pole# continue
straight to top of pyramid# go straight an drop deep down under the pyramid#
shoot door go shoot treasure ball and drop again shoot door make a right go
up shoot door# go up. Pilot the sub to the three mountains to grab tablet#5:
Get inside the center mountain from the bottom and exit through the window.
Okay, go straight to top of pole# go left an down between 2 pillars# go over
the wall straight to another wall and drop in the far corner, turn around#
shoot door then drop, make a right go an shoot door on left, inside this
chamber go right around the little point to easily grab tablet#9, shoot the
treasure ball on the floor and drop to the last chamber to grab tablet#10.
If your hunting for treasure, grab 6 along with the tablets.
Oh no, it's HAMMER time again, this time he'll get nailed.......good job!
Okay, you took the tablets and you nailed the Hammer, now you must fight
THEE GUARDIAN. >WARNING< The completion of this final battle is based on
your ability to maneuver the submarine, may GOD help you in this fight.
First of all; never be still, this pyramid can see you, stay away from it
unless you are trying to lock on. Second; destroy the antennas until they
stop coming back. Third; shoot the eye at the top until all the eyes appear.
Fourth; shoot only the eyes on the bottom,then drop imediately, repeat steps
3 and 4. I replayed this game to write this guide, so I did not buy any
upgrades except for the, 3 SHOT FRAG TORPEDO, only to beat THEE GUARDIAN,
and the only treasure I picked up was in my way.......FN
