  best of my ability.

As you may notice, in the Table of Contents I have added some
letters and numbers next to each section of the Game Guide.
If you are unable to locate the section which you are looking
  for, please do the follow.

  FQ01         Frequently Asked Questions

Question:    I need assistance in Star Ocean 3!
Response:    Questions related to Star Ocean 3 can be sent via
E-mail to [email protected]. I will answer your
questions to the best of my knowledge.

Include the 4-Digit Code as seen in the Game Guide.
This is so I can understand exactly where you need
               assistance.

Question:    Can I use this Game Guide on my website?
Response:    Absolutely! This Game Guide for Star Ocean 3 must
               be linked directly to GameFAQs.com.

Question:    I see a mistake, can I send a request to get it fixed?
Response:    Absolutely! If you see something in the Game Guide
which seems as though it shouldn't belong, send an
               E-mail to [email protected].

Question:    What is an Event Battle?
Response:    It is a Battle which is triggered through the story,
               rather than through the user.

Question:    May I add something to the Game Guide?
Response:    If there is something which you feel I should have
added to the Walkthrough, which may make a certain
areas somewhat easier, or make better clarifity,
send an E-mail to [email protected].

Please make sure to include a name so credit may be
               given where it is due.

Question:    How come you do not include all the Treasure Chest
               locations?

Response:    Phew! Do you know how long that would take? If I had
listed off every location of a Treasure Chest inside
each Dungeon, or area in Star Ocean 3, I would never
               finish this Game Guide.

Question:    You're from Canada, why are spelling these words in
               American?

Response:    Don't be afraid to ask personal questions like these,
so long as you do not start sending threatening or
harassing E-mails, I will respond respectfully.

Words that are different between both the American and
Canadian way are spelled differently. One example is
the word "Favourite". Though we tend to say "Favourite",
               American have it spelled "Favorite".

I just think that anything which is posted on this Game
Guide would be better off spelled the American way, as
people would probably think I'm mispelling words using
               the Canadian version. Eh?

  WT01         Walkthrough

  HYDA IV
  - - - -

  AC01         ~ Grantier Resort Hotel ~

You'll start Star Ocean 3 on Hyda IV in the Grantier Resort Hotel
as Fayt Leingod Eventually, Fayt's highly over-flirtatious cousin,
Sophia Esteed approaches.

Sophia and Fayt argue for a short period of time, but Fayt makes
up by asking Sophia to walk throught the Hotel alongside him.
Eventually, Fayt and Sophia return to their quarters in the Hotel.

Start either through the northern or southern doors to access the
Transporter Rooms. These will take Fayt and Sophia to the Hotel's
Main Hall.

Proceed west, then through to the Transporter Room at the end of
the Main Hall. These will take Fayt and Sophia to the Private
Beach. Once on the Private Beach, speak to Sophia, then the
Flirt on the Beach. Return through the Transporter Room to the
Main Hall.

Enter through the north-eastern door to encounter Peppita, the
Fairy Guide of the Rossetti Troupe. She'll give Fayt a Rossetti
Performance Ticke.

Return through the corridor and enter through the central doors
to reach the Lounge. In the Lounge, Fayt can check the Weather
Teminal, the Refreshments Terminal, the News Terminal, and the
Game Terminal.

Exmaine the Refreshments Terminal to obtain a Shake, then one
of the four Game Terminals. You'll need to convince Sophia to
enter the Game Room.

  Battle Tutorial
  - - - - - - - -

While the Battle Tutorial is Star Ocean 3 is quite
lengthly, it explains everything needed to know of
Basic Combat in Star Ocean 3.

Though I could easily go through everything which
is explained in the Battle Tutorial, I think it's
must easier to fllow the in-game Battle Tutorial.

I also highly recommend the Battle Tutorial to the
new players of Star Ocean 3.

  - - -

  = = =

  EVENT BATTLE
  Remote City of Listia

You have a few enemies to defeat. Remember what was
  explained through the Battle Tutorial.

Each time you complete a battle, Shopia and Fayt's
Hit Points are completely restored. You can choose
whether or not to proceed to the next battle.

Battles in Star Ocean 3 start seemingly like those
in Tales of Symphonia. Just a little more complex.
You'll go through a series of three battles. These
  can range in difficulty.

If you decide to go for a third battle, defeat the
two bats first. Make sure you stay as far away as
  possible from the Rock Golem.

Sophia will probably become incipacitated in this
  battle.

  = = =

You'll either come out victorious or defeated. After the
simulation has finished, Hyda IV is attacked. Eventually,
Fayt and Sophia return to the Lounge.

Return to the Transoporter Room. These will take Sophia
and Fayt to the Evacuation Corridor.

  AC02         ~ Evacuation Corridor ~

Access the Save Point, then proceed to the corridor
ahead. You'll encounter Robert and Ryoko.

Things start getting somewhat like Titan A.E. Things
start to become out of hand as Fayt and Sophia start
towards the Evacuation Facility.

  = = =

  EVENT BATTLE
  Incipacitator

The Incipacitors will attack Fayt and Sophia. You
are unable to retreat from this Battle. Remember
  back to the Battle Tutorial.

Use Major or Minor Attacks to defeat the enemy. It
shouldn't be too hard to defeat the Incipacitator.

Chaos Laser is about the only attack which is used
by the Incipacitator. It doesn't deliver too much
  damage.

There a series of three fights before Sophia and
Fayt are taken to the Evacuation Facility.

  = = =

  AC03         ~ Iruba Shelter #5 ~

Exit to the Evacuation Facility, then enter into Room 506.
Use the Save Point, then return to the corridor.

You'll want to search through Room 509. Speak to Peppita
and the Rossetti Troupe, then return to Room 506. Wait
for Sophia to fall asleep.

Examine the bed next to Sophia's when ready to sleep. Fayt
awakens at 3:52 AM. Sophia awakens when an announcement is
made. Use the Save Point and return to the corridor. Head
to the Transporter Room to access the Ferderation Helre.

  AC04         ~ Federation Helre ~

Exit the Transporter Room to the Central Starboard. Start
towards the Lounge. The Helre eventually escapes from the
battlefield to Gravitic Warp.

Speak to the crewmen and the refugees in all accessible
area of the Helre. Return to the Lounge. Use the Save
Sphere, then return to the Central Starboard Corridor.
Head to the Spiral Staircase and ascend to the Upper
Starboard Corridor.

You can proceed to the Bridge, the Commodore explains
to Fayt of the current situation. Unfortunately there
is not enough escape pods to evacutate the crewmen.

The refugees are at the Emergency Passage. I'm not
sure why this needs to be done, but speak to those
refugees and crewmembers at the Emergency Passage,
return to the Spiral Staircase, then to the Upper
Starboard Corridor. The refugees have now entered
the Emergency Passage. Enter one of the Escape
Pods.

Fayt returns to the Emergency Passage to see a Pod.
After entering the Escape Pod, Fayt searches for a
planet.

  VANGUARD III
  - - - - - - -

  BC01         ~ Pesotto Forest ~

Start by using the Save Sphere to Save the Game. The
surround area does is not recognized by the Quad
Scanner.

Start by heading through the western path. Stay near
the cliffside. You should eventually reach the next
area.

North is a village known as Whipple. Fayt eventually
collapses, then awakens within Whipple. You will be
introduced to Niklas and Meena.

  BC02         ~ Whipple ~

You'll start in Niklas and Meena's House. Exit to
Whipple. North is the Village Chief's House.
Inside is a Treasure Chest. Open the Treasure
Chest to obtain Blackberries. Return to Whipple.

West of the Doctor's House is Private Home. There
is a Treasure Chest inside containing Blueberries.
Though the residents inside don't think kindle to
strangers wandering inside without permission.

Across from the General Store is a Private Home.
Speak to the Adolescent Girl, then return to
Niklas and Meena's House.

Niklas returns Fayt's Simple Sword. Backtrack to
the Escape Pod.

What the!? The Escape Pod has been vandalized!
Backtrack to Whipple to Niklas and Meena's
House.

Fayt awakens the next morning. Meena awakens to
see that Niklas has disappeared. Return to the
Pesotto Forest

  BC03         ~ Ruins of Coffir ~

Those of Norton's Gang have returned to Norton's
Hideout in the Ruins of Coffir. West of Whipple
is the entrance to the Ruins of Coffir.

There's some music you don't hear in an RPG too
often.

West of the entrance are two Treasure Chests.
Both Treasure Chests contain Blueberries.
East of the entrance is another Treasure
Chest containing Blackberries.

Start north, then cross the western bridge to
a Treasure Chest containing 200 Fol. Continue
north to the next area.

Proceed north through the Ruins. There are two
Treasure Chests in the northern ruins which
contain Aquaberries and Blueberries.

Search north, then west through the ruins to
another Treasure Chest. Inside are Cooking
Ingredients. The northen area is a dead-end.
Return to the entrance of this area. Start
through the eastern ruins.

This area is swamped with Bandits. Start down
the southern path. There is a Treasure Chest
in the Ruins containing Blackberries. Return
to the path and start south to the next area.

You can obtain Ripe Berries from the Treasure
Chest in the eastern ruins. Backtrack to the
previous area.

Head north-east to the previous area. Enter
through the north-eastern ruins above.

There is a Treasure Chest in this area, but
the bridge is out. You will have to find a
different way to reach it. Head through to
the next area.

Head north to reach Norton's Hideout. You
will have to enter through the back. Head
west to obtain Blackberries. Head east to
enter Norton's Hideout.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Norton's Underlings

There are three of Northon's Underlings to
defeat before Fayt enters Norton's Hideout.
Bully Stab and Bully Combo are two attacks
  which would best be avoided.

Norton's Underlings do not possess much HP.
It shouldn't take too long to defeat these
  characters.

  = = =

  BC04         ~ Norton's Hideout ~

After Norton's Underlings have been defeated, enter
Norton's Hideout. Proceed through the corridor.

Do not attack the Skeletons. Avoid them if at all
possible, as their Agility will have Fayt quickly
incapacitated.

Head through the southern corridor, then east to
Norton's Lab. Use the Save Sphere to Save the
Game, then examine the south-western console.

The Password: "256".

East of Norton's Lab is a door which was locked
previously. After the password has been entered,
the door should now be unlocked. Inside, Niklas
has been thoroughly beaten and thrown in a cell.
Norton eventually approaches Fayt.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Norton

  HP: 1600             MP: 35800

  Res: Fire            Weak: N/A

Norton is a Trigger-Happy Boss. Fortunately,
Fayt gained a new partner, Cliff Fittir.

Watch out for Shooting Spree. It's an attack
which delivers multiple damage. It can also
become frustrating as Norton tends to use it
  frequently.

Cliff will be delivering the strong attacks.
You probably will not be needing to use any
Blueberries or Blackberries unless Fayt was
low on health prior to the Boss Battle.

  = = =

  - - - - -
  Side Note
  - - - - -

If the Voice Actor for Cliff Fittir sounds
familiar, it is because the Voice Actor is
  Allen from Xenosaga.

Enough with the introductions. We're about
  finished in Vanguard III.

  - - -

  BC05         ~ Whipple ~

Before returning to Whipple, Fayt must first obtain the
parts for Niklas's Music Box. The Music Box Parts may
be obtained in Norton's Lab.

Return to Niklas and Meena's House. After the Music Box
has been repaired, Fayt eventually leaves Vanguard III.

  BC06         ~ Pesotto Forest ~

Return to Cliff in Pesotto Forest. Fayt's transport out
of Vanguard III awaits by the cliffside next to the
Escape Pod.

Fayt and Cliff eventually depart from Vanguard III.

Meanwhile, Cliff and Fayt return to the ship where Fayt
encounter Mirage. After a couple inroductions, Mirage
and Cliff encounter two Vendeeni Battleships.

After successfully retreating through Gravitic Werp,
a slight engine malfunction occurs. Mirage, Cliff,
and Fayt are forced to make an emergency landing on
Elicoor II.

  - - - - - -
  ELICOOR II
  - - - - - -

  CC01         ~ The Cutter 'Eagle' ~

After Fayt speaks to Cliff and Mirage several times,
the only means of escape is through to Airyglyph.
Fayt and Cliff will emerge from The Eagle.

Eventually, they are taken prisoner by the Airyglyph
Guards.

  CC02         ~ Airyglyph ~

After several hours or tormenting suffering, Fayt and
Cliff arrive in the cell below.

They are eventually saved by a character, Nel Zelpher.
However, Nel requires Fayt and Cliff's technology in
return.

After a few introductions, Fayt's equipment is soon
returned. Proceed down the eastern corridor.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Inquisitor

There are two Guards and an Inquisitor. Take out
the Inquisitor before attack the Guards.

There isn't much to need worry about. You have
Cliff and Nel, and hopefully some Blueberries
  and Blackberries.

  = = =

  CC03         ~ Airyglyph Aqueducts ~

The path is pretty straight-forward. You can start by
moving east through the Aqueducts. Open the Treasure
Chest in the second area to obtain a Worm-Eaten Tome.

There's essentially two paths you can take through the
Aqueducts. South takes Fayt to a Treasure Chest. There
is a Warrior's Bracelet to be obtained.

The eastern path takes Fayt up a staircase. Continue to
the next area, then through the patches of ice. Proceed
east to the next area. Start through the patches of ice,
then north to a Treasure Chest containing Fresh Sage.
Backtrack to the area durectky after the staircase.
This time, start north-east to the next area, Continue
through the patches of ice through the north-western
passage.

Fayt and Cliff stop briefly after noticing the frozen
suurface.

You must walk through the next series of areas. This
can be done by pressing the O Button while using the
durectional buttons.

Start through the first northern passage. Inside is a
Treasure Chest which contains Blueberries. Return to
the previous area and head north. Use the Save Sphere
before entering the next area.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Giant Crab

  HP:  3500            MP:

  Res: Water           Weak: Fire

Unless you had a good source of Aquaberries.
One or more of your characters might be
  inflicted with Poison.

The Giant Crab uses Burst Cannon. Watch out
for some of these attacks, as Fayt may be
fighting this Boss Battle alone sooner than
  you think.

  = = =

Be extremely careful in this area. The surface is very
slippery. Use the O Button to pass through to the exit.
The ice is also thin. If you move quickly through this
area, it will break. Proceed east to exit to return to
Airtyglyph.

  CC04         ~ Airyglyph ~

Don't worry, Fayt is safe in Airyglyph. You won't get
captured through the Guards.

Start by descending the northern staircase to the area
below. Head south to the Private Home. Inside is a
Treasure Chest which contains Aquaberries.

Start north towards the Marketplace. Directly ahead is
the Dragon Treasure Grocer, the High Quality Armorer
"Tiamat", and the Armorer "Left-Handed Lizard".

Inside the High Quality Armorer's Shop are two Treasure
Chests which contain Aquaberries and Blackberries. West
of the High-Quality Armorer is a Pirvate Home. There is
a Treasure Chest which contains Ripe Berries.

The Marketplace stretches further east to the Outfitter
"Dragon's Dungeon", and the Inn "Wyvern's Tail". North
of the Marketplace is a Private Home and an Abandoned
Temple. There is a Treasure Chest in both the Private
Home and the Tavern "Dragon's Breath". There is 2,000
Fol within the Treasure Chest in the Tavern. The Chest
in the Private Home contains Blueberries.

North, then west is an Abandoned Temple.  You can obtain
Cooking Ingredients from the Treasure Chest outside. In
the Abandoned Temple is another Treasure Chest. This one
contains Perfect Berries. East of the Marketplace is the
Front Gate.

  CC05         ~ The Traum Mountains ~

Outside of Airyglyph, Tynave and Farleen await for Fayt
and Cliff.

Nel will now explain the current situation between both
Airyglyph and Aquaria. After which, the Dragon Brigade
attacks.

Start down the eastern path. There's a Treasure Chest at
the cliffside which contains 400 Fol.

There are two more directly ahead. One which contains a
Jewel of Alertness, the other contains Ripe Berries.
You'll be near Kirlsa when Fayt nearly passes out. East
is Kirlsa.

  CC06         ~ Kirlsa ~

Cliff is left in the Inn. Exit to the town of Kirlsa to
start some exploration.

South of the Private Home directly below the Inn is a
Treasure Chest which contains Aquaberries.

The buildings which surround the Inn are Private Homes.
There is nothing of importance inside. East of the Inn
is the Marketplace.

Attached to the two Privated Homes is the Grocer "Inn
Curtain". Directly across is the Tavern "The Iron
Stomach". Inside is a Treasure Chest which contains
Blueberries. East of the Iron Stomach is the Grocer
"The Iron Curtain".

South of the Tavern is the Armorer "Master Slayer",
an Outfitter "Iron Range", and a Workshop. There
is another Workshop across from the Outfitter.

East of The Iron Stomach are two Private Homes. A
Treasure Chest awaits in the southern Private
Home which contains 1,400 Fol.

Behind the southern Private Home is another Chest
which contains Blackberries. Return north towards
the Graveyard.

There is a Treasure Chest east of the Graveyard
which contains Perfect Berries. Head into the
Graveyard to encounter Nel. Fayt and Nel will
eventually return to the Inn.

The three awaken the next morning. Start through
the northern passage and cross the bridge to the
Kirlsa Caverns.

  CC07         ~ Kirlsa Caverns ~

There's two accessible shafts at the entrance to
the Kirlsa Caverns.

Start down the eastern path to a Mini-Boss. Make
sure to use the Save Sphere before entering the
next shaft. You will not be able to turn back.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Earth Smasher

  HP: 3600             MP: 163

  Res: Earth           Weak: N/A

What the Earth Smasher lacks in Agility, the
Strength is what becomes the problem. Watch
out for the Earth Smasher's Earth Glaive. It
can easily be avoided, but if the attack has
made a successful strike, it will deliver an
  enormous amount of damage.

  = = =

Pull the lever to unlock the gate in the shaft
below, then enter through the door to the next
area. There is a Treasure Chest west which has
Blackberries to be obtained. Head south to the
corridor next to the entrance.

Backtrack to the eastern corridor next to the
entrance of the Kirlsa Caverns.

There are five switches in this shaft labelled
as "Steady", "Carefree", "Whimsical", "Ill-
Natured", and "Aggressive".

Read through the Instruction Manual before you
attempt to use the Hauler Beasts. Any E-mail
that comes to me asking for assistance in this
area would mean that you did not understand or
read through the Instruction Manual.

  - - - - - - -
  Steady Hauler

Certain events in the shaft will require an
amount of speed which meet the requirements
  of the shaft's conditions.

This is probably the Hauler which would best
suit the conditions of the caverns below.

  - - - - - - - -
  Carefree Hauler
  - - - - - - - -

Only turns right, except for a certain part
of the track, and has poor acceleration.

Does not have the capability to reach the
  exit of the Kirlsa Caverns.

  - - - - - - - - -
  Whimsical Hauler
  - - - - - - - - -

Will not obey commands, but can jump much
  further than the others.

Don't use the Whimsical Hauler. Though an
area in the caverns below would make the
Whimsical Hauler useful, these would just
  become too stressful.

  - - - - - - - - - -
  Ill-Natures Hauler
  - - - - - - - - - -

Turns in the opposite direction specified.

The Ill-Natured Hauler is not one which a
beginner should select until that person
has a good understanding of that which is
  below.

This Hauler's Endurance is also marked as
  Low.

  - - - - - - - - -
  Aggressive Hauler
  - - - - - - - - -

Tends not to obey commands and will not
  slow below a certain speed.

The Aggressive Hauler is something that
would tear through the shafts below and
should not be used in any circumstances.

I'm starting to think it is a joke which
  Square-Enix didn't really consider.

  - - -

You'll be given a series of selections to make upon
  entering the caverns below.

Start by using the Steady Hauler. Here are some of
the directions to proceed to the exit.

  Switch: Left

Quiokly slow down to make the switch. You
  have reached the exit.

  - - -

You'll be greeted by Gregory von Dermein. Proceed to
the Bequerel Mountain Path.

  CC08         ~ Bequerel Mountain Path ~

Fresh Air! Start down the northern path after using
the Save Sphere. Head down the western path to a
Treasure Chest which contains Blackberries.

Start east, then down the slope towards the second
mine shaft. Open the Treasure Chest to obtain Ripe
Berries, then return up the slope.

Proceed north, then east to reach Arias. You'll be
in Aquaria Territory.

  CC09         ~ Arias ~

The first building which comes into sight is the
General Store "Jack Potato". South-west is a
Private Home and a Chapel.

East is the Inn "The Dozing", a Bakery "Moonlight
Gauntlet", and a Private Home. The Treasure Chest
in the Private Home contains Perfect Berries.

South-west is the Lord's Mansion. Head inside the
Lord's Mansion. Continue through the eastern room
at the end of the hall.

  - - - - -
  Side Note
  - - - - -

This is the area which somewhat confuses me.
  Clair's Voice-Actor sounds somewhat similar
to Shion from Xenosaga, and Yuna from Final
  Fantasy X.

  - - -

You are introduced to Clair Lasbard, who will
explain the current situation.

There's a Treasure Chest in the Bedroom. It's
down the hall on the left-hand side. Return
to speak to Cliff.

Directly outside near the drawbridge are two
Treasure Chest. One which contains Cooking
Ingredients, the other contains a Multi-
Flask.

Return upstairs and speak to Cliff when you
are ready to call it a day.

Cliff and Fayt will awaken the next morning.
Return to speak to Clair.

She'll explain the current situation of the
war between Airyglyph and Aquaria.

Meanwhile, Fayt begins to wonder about Nel's
recent disappearance. He'll eventually watch
the story unfold, as Nel attempts to rescue
Tynave and Farleen from Airyglyph.

Being the heroic type of characters, Fayt and
Cliff start off to assist Nel.

Back in Arias, head through the south-eastern
exit to Aire Hills.

  DC01         ~ Aire Hills ~

There are Treasure Chests surrounded in Aire Hills.
Unfortunately, these locations are scattered so it
is difficult to give precise information.

The path which comes out of Arias winds through the
Aire Hills. It will eventually take Fayt back to
Kirlsa.

DC02           ~ Granah Hills ~

Head through Kirlsa. In the southern section is the
entrance to Granah Hills.

There are plenty of Treasure Chests in Granah Hills,
but similar to the Aire Hills, these Treasure Chest
locations are scattered so it is difficult to state
precise information.

The path is fairly straight-forward. Eventually, the
area of the meeting place should come into sight.
Ambush!

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Black Brigade Soldier

These dark figures known as the Black Brigade
Soldiers are not too tough to defeat. Though
when I say not too tough, I trust you would
  be familiar with Combat Tactics.

They do not use Special Attacks too much, if
  any at all.

Stand off at a distance, then use Fayt's Major
Attack. Fayt should come up quickly and strike
  his opponent into the air.

  = = =

  DC03         ~ Kirlsa Training Facility ~

Kirlsa Training Facility connects from all directions
with two corridors which lead to the center. Think of
it like an enormous square.

There are two corridor which lead towards the center.
These are on the eastern and western sides of the
Facility.

There is a northern and souther room to enter. Inside
the northern room are several Treasure Chests. You
can obtain Aquaberries and a Longer Dagger from two
Treasure Chests within this room. The other two are
not accessible.

Return to the previous corridor and enter through the
southern room. Inside is a Treasure Chest. You can
obtain an Anti-Poison Amulet.

On the western side is another room with on Treasure
Chest with Blueberries to be obtained. There is a
room directly east, but it has no importance at the
present time.

Finally, there is a corridor on the southern side of
the Facility. Inside are two Treasure Chests, one of
which cannot be accessed at the present time.

Back down the eastern corridor, through the northern
room is a staircase which can be taken to the second
level of the Kirlsa Training Facility.

Start by travelling to the northern room. There is a
Treasure Chest inside which contains Blackberries.
Start through the eastern room. Progress through
a series of rooms until you come to an area with
three possible choices.

Head south, and the north-eastern room is a dead-end.
Though this is also a dead-end, there's two Treasure
Chests which contain Cooking Ingredients. Return to
the previous room, then enter through the southern
door.

There are two rooms which can be entered. Though we
are about to enter through each room, start through
the first room. There is a Treasure Chest within
this room which cannot be accesed at the present
time. Continue through a series of rooms to a dead-
end. Search for the Treasure Chest. You can obtain
Cooking Ingredits from this Chest.

Backtrack to the hall where I said we were about
to enter through both rooms. Continue through to
the second room. You'll pass through a corridor
which is quite large. Pass through the eastern
room to three treasure chests containing a
Neglected Textbook, Aquaberries, and Blueberries.

Return to the previos corridor and start through
the northern room. You'll pass through a series
of rooms before coming to another staircase.
Continue to the next floor.

Phew! This is one mighty large Training Facility.
Start through the southern room. The corridor is
similar to that of the first floor. The corridor
will wrap around and eventually connect. There's
several doors which Fayt will pass which contain
Treasure Chests.

If you want to head directly to Nel, start down
the southern corridor and enter through the
second side-door. Start down the corridor, then
enter the northern room.

Use the Save Sphere, then continue through then
speak to the Stern Matron and the Stern Matron's
Daughter. Backtrack the the first floor. Proceed
to the north-eastern section to encounter Nel.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Black Brigade Soldier

These dark figures known as the Black Brigade
Soldiers are not too tough to defeat. Though
when I say not too tough, I trust you would
  be familiar with Combat Tactics.

They do not use Special Attacks too much, if
  any at all.

Stand off at a distance, then use Fayt's Major
Attack. Fayt should come up quickly and strike
  his opponent into the air.

The battle is similar to the first time. It's
much easier this time around because of the
many level-ups which Fayt and Cliff obtained
  in the Training Facility.

You'll also have Nel for the duration of the
  Mini-Boss Battle.

  = = =

Another lesson in morality to never abandon a friend.
With this, enter through the door to an elevator.
Select the 4th Floor.

Start through the westerh room to a Save Sphere. Use
the Save Sphere before entering the southern room.
You'll encounter Tynave and Farleen.

This event practically screams "Trap!". Tynave and
Farleen do too apparently. After which, the Black
Brigade attacks.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Shelby

  HP: 5100             MP: 13, 816

  Res: Wind            Weak: N/A

Shelby and the Black Brigades are tough to defeat.
I would suggest taking out the two Black Brigade
Soldiers while Nel and Cliff focus their attacks
  on Shelby.

After the Black Brigade Soldiers have been defeated,
Shelby shouldn't be too much harder.

He uses Giant Swing to attack all three at once.
He also uses Ice Breath, which can deal a
considerable amount of damage to one of your
  characters.

  = = =

After Shelby has been defeated, Albedo.. Erm, Albel
Nox arrives (Sorry, same Voice-Actor). You will not
be battling Albel at the present time. Backtrack to
Arias.

  DC04         ~ Arias ~

Head to the Mansion in Arias to speak to Clair. Nel,
Fayt, and Cliff now depart for Palmira Plains.

 DC05          ~ Palmira Plains ~

(Sighs), You'll be travelling through this area a
LOT.

There are Treasure Chests scattered throughout the
Palmira Plains. The path will take Fayt staight to
Peterny.

  DC06         ~ Peterny ~

Peterny is the connection between Sanmite, Aquios and
Airyglyph.

The central plaza is Peterny's Marketplace. Look at it
similar to a sphere which connects to three seperate
nations like a Firewall.

In the south-west corner is the Church. Return to the
Church when ready to meet up with Nel.

Alongside the central plaza are several shopkeepers.
It is similar to some of the shops which lay about
Komo Mai in Baten Kaitos.

North will take Fayt to Aquios. You will not be able
to proceed forward without Cliff or Nel. West is the
Business District.

Along the north side is the Luxury Inn "The Front
Door", the Workshop, and the Armorer "Summit Street".
Along the south side is the Outfitter "Twilight
Hour", and the Craftsman's Guild.

The Craftsman's Guild is where to go to learn how to
become an Inventor.  West is the Sanmite Region.

East is the Residential District and the entrance to
the Kingdom of Greeton. The Tavern "The Biting Kid"
can be found next to the Greeton Gate. South of the
Tavern are two Private Homes.

The northern Private Home contains a Treasure Chest
which contains Blackberries. The Treasure Chest in
the southern Private Home contains Ripe Berries.

East of the Church is a Treasure Chest which contains
Blackberries.

Rest at the Church until Sophia arrives.. Erm, Ameena.
It's the same Voice-Actor.

Make your way to the Inn in West Peterny.  There is a
Treasure Chest to the left of West Peterny containing
Cooking Ingredients. Enter the Luxury Inn. Speak with
the Inn Receptionist.

Head to The Biting Kid. There is a Treasure Chest to
the right which contains 3,400 Fol. There is another
Treasure Chest in the central plaza which contains
Blackberries.

Return to the Residential District towards the Private
Homes to start an event with Ameena. Fayt barges into
Ameena's House as though it is his own.

Return to the Inn to speak with Nel after speaking to
Ameena.

Return to Peterny and start west to Sanmite. Yes this
is another lesson in morality. When something doesn't
seem right, speak to someone, or in Ameena's case, a
Doctor.

  DC07         ~ Sanmite Steppe ~

Search the area for Treasure Chests. Sanmite Steppe is
an enormous area, so there is bound to be some pretty
useful items within this area.

Duggus Forest can be found in the eastern area of the
Sanmite Steppe. It should come into sight after Fayt
has crossed the river.

  DC08         ~ Duggus Forest ~

On the northern side of the trail is a Treasure Chest
which contains Compounding Elixirs.

The western trail can become rather confusing as there
are five seperate paths which may be taken. Start down
the southern path. Though it is a dead-end, there are
two Treasure Chests. One which contains Blackberries,
the other contains Aquaberries.

Remember this area, as it contains clear spring water.
This is used to aid a Fairy.

Backtrack to the previous area, then continue up the
path towards the northern trail. There is a Treasure
Chest directly below the northern trail containing
Compounding Elixirs. Start up the northern trail.

Another dead-end, but also a Treasure Chest. Square-
Enix is sure making this easy. Blackberries can be
obtained from the Treasure Chest. Backtrack to the
previous area.

The south-western trail leads to a dead-end, which
means Ameena must be down the north-western trail.
There is a Treasure Chest wihin this area which is
presently unaccessible.

Start down the western trail to the next area. It
is here where Fayt encounter a Fairy.

Remember the southern trail which I had mentioned
previously? The Spring Water the Fairy needs is
within this area. With the Spring Water, return
to the Fairy.

Return up the northern path and start through the
western trail. The Grapebind that blocks the path
is an enemy.

Start south-west after defeating the Grapebind.
Continue south to an area with three Treasure
Chests, two of which cannot be accessed at the
present time. There are Blueberries inside the
accessible Treasure Chest.

Once the trail comes to an end, continue east
to another Grapebind. The western trail is a
dead-end.

You'll now have opened up another path to the
entrance of Duggus Forest. You'll now be back
at the five surrounding trails.

Start down the north-western trail, then head
south-west.

Start down the southern path, then turn east at
the first side-path. This should take Fayt to
the next area.

There is another Grapebind to the north. After
the Grapebind, the next area can become rather
difficult.

Dodge the boulders as best you can, otherwise
Fayt returns to the entrance of this area.

The same applies to the next area, though the
boulders will tumble towards the area where
Fayt entered. There are two Treasure Chests
in this area which contain Blackberries and
Blueberries.

Start north-west to two Treasure Chests that
contain a Wind Pixie and an Orb of Alertness.
Backtrack past the boulders to the entrance
of this region. Return to the previous area
and start through the south-western trail.

Defeat the Grapebind which blocks the path, then
continue through to the next series of boulders.
There's a Treasure Chest in this area. A Limited
Edition Doll can be obtained. A Grapebind awaits
at the edge of the region.

West is the Bandits' Hideout where Ammena is held.
Inside is Roger. This is the same Voice-Actor who
does the voice of Izzy from Digimon. Woulda never
thought of that.

  = = =

  EVENT BATTLE
  Moonshadow Clan Member

I'll start out with one word, Hah! Typical Anime.
  Those expressions were priceless.

Anyways, the Bandits are essentially the same as
they have been throughout the Duggus Forest.
They barely deliver any damage whatsoever.

The only exception to this is the Dagger Dance,
which does not happen too often.

  = = =

There's more hilarious comments after defeating the Bandits.
Though Roger can be quite comedic, Roger's battle skills
completely suck.

Return to the previous area with or without Roger and head
north to the next area. Avoid the boulders, then start to
the eastern trail.

Continue up the northern trail, then east. Follow the path
to the next area and head north to another set of boulders.
At the end of the trail are four Treasure Chests.

Crafting Materials, Alchemy Materials, 12,000 Fol, and
Aquaberries can be obtained from the Treasure Chests.
Wait for a small break in the boulders, then quickly
make a run for the previous area.

Start down the western trail. Stand by the cliff's edge
and watch as the boulders fall into the chasms on the
trail. You'll now be able to access the north-western
path. Follow the path to a Save Sphere. Beyond the Save
Sphere is an area similar to the Lost Woods in Legend
of Zelda.

It's not too difficult to navigate through this area,
the yellow arrow in the north-western section which
is pointing north is the path which you must take.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Mudman

  HP: 8000             MP: 500

  Res: Earth           Weak: Wind

Use MP Attacks rather than HP Attacks if possible.
This will defeat the Mudman much faster.

Watch out for Mudman Punch. It'll deliver a heavy
and considerable amount of damage to one of your
  characters.

Do not use Roger. Though he may seem cute and
  cuddly, Roger dies too quickly.

Anothing problem is that the Mudman tends to use
MP Attacks. Poisonous Punch is an example which
  will also inflict Poison.

Finally, Mudman Blast is similar to Mudman Punch,
but deals a larger amount of damage.

  = = =

Return to the previous area, then enter through the western
trail to encounter Ameena. You'll eventually return to
Peterny.

Once Ameena has been found, Fayt, Cliff, and Nel return to
Peterny. Fayt's decision to assist Nel in the war between
Aquaria and Airyglyph will soon be announced. Start north
to the Aqios Gate to Irisia Fields

  DC09         ~ Irisia Fields ~

You should know the routine by now. Search through the
Irisia Fields for Treasure Chests.  You should be able
to see Aquios directly ahead.

  EC01         ~ Aquios ~

You're now in Aquios. Start down the bridge into the city.
This is the road which heads straight to the Castle.

On the eastern side is the Inn "Solon's Guidance". There
are also two side-roads which start off to the eastern
ans western side of Aquios.

On the western side of Aquios is the  Armorer "Erinia's
Hammer".

The south-eastern side-road is the Residential District,
which included the Grocer "Aire's Blessing". There are
five Private Homes in this area.

There is a Treasure Chest inside the south-eastern Home
which contains 1,800 Fol. There are two Treasure Chests
in the north-eastern Private Home which contains some
Synthesis Materials and Blackberries.

The western side connects to the Marketplace and is the
Business District of Aquios.

The south-eastern building which has two entrances. It
it the Outfitter "Dima's Birth". West is the Workshop,
similar to the one in Peterny, but does not carry the
Facilities which you may have bought in Peterny.

South is the Residential Area. There are three Private
Homes in this area.

The northern Private Home contains a Treasure Chest
which contains Aquaberries. Directly below is another
which contains Smithery Materials.

Next to the northern Private Home are two Chests which
contain Compounding Elixirs and Aquaberries. North of
the Outfitter is another Private Home. The Treasure
Chest inside contains Aquaberries. Start towards the
Castle.

Speak to Nel twice or start down the western corridor
to the staircase. Ascend the staircase, head down the
eastern corridor to the central chamber. There, Cliff,
Fayt, and Nel will speak to Romeria Zin Emurille, the
Queen of Aquios.

After which, Cliff and Fayt will be escorted to their
Guest Quarters.

Use the Save Sphere to Save the Game, then return to
the western corridor.

Enter the Great Temple and speak to Cliff, then head
back to the Guest Quarters. Speak to Cliff. Fayt and
Cliff awaken the next morning with Nel to escort the
two to the Runologist Lab. It is on the western side
of the Castle.

Proceed north up the western corridor. Ascend the
southern staircase and enter through the southern
door to the Runological Weapon Development Lab.

Approach the eastern door to encounter Lady Elena
and Dion. After which, Fayt takes a look at their
Runological Weapon.

After Fayt examines the Runological Weapon, he comes to
discover that it lacks the proper wiring to complete it.

You'll want to stop by one of the shopkeepers somewhere
on Elicoor II before starting towards the Irisia Fields.
Return to Bequerel Mountain Path.

  EC02         ~ Arias ~

Back in Arias, Tynave, Farleen, and Clair may be found
at the Front Gate.

After speaking to Clair, Fayt is off to the Bequerel
Mines on the Bequerel Mountain Path. Unfortunately,
the Dragon Brigade will also have to be dealt with.

  EC03         ~ Bequerel Mountain Path ~

You'll start off by attacking the Dragon Brigade Soldiers
on the Bequerel Mountain Path.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS FIGHT
  Dragon Brigade Soldiers

Phew! Watch out for the Dragon Brigade Soldiers'
  Major Attacks.

Watch out for their Master Combo and Searing
Breath. Though it may not be much, these can
  incipacitate your characters quickly.

  = = =

After the Dragon Brigade Soldier has been defeated, the
second one will retreat to Bequerel Mine.

  EC04         ~ Bequerel Mine ~

Start north from the entrance to the next area, where
there is a short event where Cliff explains how to
lighten up a certain shaft.

Start down the northern corridor, then through to the
northern shaft. Light the torch to encounter a Brass
Dragon. You'll obtain a Lightstone for defeating the
Brass Dragon.

This can be used instead of having to light the several
torches along the way. It must be equipped to Fayt to
work. Enter the northern passage to the next area.

Start down the western corridor. Several Brass Dragons
should approach from several directions. Head down the
western corridor after the Brass Dragons have all been
defeated. Head through towards the western shaft, then
examine the Dragon Runes to the left.

"Weave the two into a single line of darkness".

Light the two torches and position Fayt so he stands
directly in the middle of the two torches. Once both
the two shadows have created a straight line, locate
the western door. This door has now become unlocked.
The next area is pretty straight forward, exit north
to the next area.

There's a treasure chest down the eastern corridor in
the next area which contains Blackberries. This shaft
is a large maze with a Brass Dragon. Unfortunately it
won't keep still. Chase the Brass Dragon to a corner
somwhere in the shaft. Once the Brass Dragon has been
cornered, defeat it to obtain the Key to the Barred
Door.

Head south-east to the barred door. Use the Key which
was obtained from the Brass Dragon and continue to
the next area.

'The Gatekeeper cannot block what he cannot see'.

You'll examine this message on the northern door in
the next area should you enter with the Lightstone.
If the Lightstone is presently equipped, then take
it off, otherwise Fayt cannot continue to the next
area. You will also need to examine the torch near
the wall to put out the flame.

Should this happen, return to the previous area and
re-enter the room.

Once you have entered the next shaft, you may equip
the Lightstone once again.

Start up the north-western path to the next area.
In this area, examine the Dragon Runes. Continue
to the next area.

'Race ahead of thyself but not when alone'.

Step on the central platform to activate all light
within the area. Three shadows will appaear. This
is where things can become really confusing.

Fayt has three shadows and must make it through to
the northern door without letting the shadows head
through first.

Step back on the central platform if you need to
restart.

Since the odds of making it through the door are
slim, we need to cheat a little bit. Don't worry,
this is official and legal cheating. Put out the
orbs on the western and southern walls, then the
door to the next area should remain open.

In the next area, start down the eastern corridor.
Head south, then east, then through the northern
passage to the next shaft.

There are two Treasure Chests in the north-eastern
section of this shaft. Open them for an Amuelet of
Freedom and Aquaberries.

Return to the previous shaft towards the entrance
of where that confusing trial took place. Instead
of entering this area, enter through the western
shaft.

Continue north, then use the Save Sphere before
entering the Boss area.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Cockatrice

  HP: 15,500           MP: 431

  Res: Earth           Weak:
       Wind

You can defeat the Cockatrice extremely quick by
using attacks which damage the Cockatrice's MP.
This can become extremely annoying and I really
hope you used the Save Sphere, as the Cockatrice
  tends to cast Petrification frequently.

With that in mind, use Flaming Sword to help with
MP Attacks, as Stone Bite and Stone Breath are
the attacks which I was referring to.

  = = =

Start north towards the northern wall. Tynave and Farleen
should then approach Fayt, Cliff, and Nel. The Copper Ore
has been obtained.

Follow the tracks east towards the exit. I'd suppose your
characters are low on health, so avoid the enemies in the
area and make your way to the refinery.

Speak to the Runologist before doing anything else. You
will want to rest, as there is another Boss Battle.
Speak to the Extremely Diligent Aquarian Soldier to use
a Hauler to exit the Bequerel Mine.

  = = =

  EVENT BATTLE
  Airyglyph Soldier

There are two consecutive battles to be fought
without rest, so save your strength for the
  Boss Battle.

The Airyglyph Soldiers are simple, as they do
not use MP Damage or many Special Attacks.
Demetrio will soon attack after the Airyglyph
  Soldiers have been defeated.

  = = =

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Demetrio

  HP: 14,800           MP: 17,776

  Res: Wind            Weak: N/A

Start by attacking the two Legion Dragons.
They don't have much health and should be
disposed of as quickly as possible.

Once they are out of the way, focus all of
  your attacks on Demetrio.

Every attack which Demetrio delivers will
cause some considerable damage. He has a
few questionable moves, but nothing which
  can become rather frustrating.

He's also airbourne, so it's hard to score
  some decent attacks.

Like the other Dragon Brigade Soldiers,
Demetrio's attaks remain the same, all
that is different is Demetrio's strength.

  = = =

  EC05         ~ Bequerel Mountain Path ~

Start back towards Aquios. Shortly before arrival in Arias,
Nel, Cliff, and Fayt will encounter Tynave and Farleen.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Albel Nox

  HP: 26,000           MP: 2,600

  Res: N/A             Weak: N/A

Start by attacking the two Black Brigade Soldiers.
After which, everybody can focus their attacks on
  Albel.

Hey, at least Albel Nox doesn't have that Albedo
  laugh in Star Ocean 3.

Being the best swordsmaster on Elicoor II, Albel
won't be a walk through the park. Actually, MP
Attacks are the easiest way to defeating Albel.

Time to state off all of Albel's Special Attacks.
Air Slash and Charge are the two attacks Albel
  uses almost frequently.

His regular attacks are much more devastating, and
the battle is pretty much in Albel's favor if one
or more characters have been incipacitated.

  = = =

After Albel has been defeated, Fayt, Cliff, and Nel
return to Arias. Start back to Aquios.

  EC06         ~ Aquios ~

Once back in Aquios, Fayt and Nel will encounter
Mirage.

  - - - -
  Reunion
  - - - -

Reunited with Mirage once again, but Fayt sees
Ameena was the mysterious woman who collapsed.
Fayt takes Ameena to the Inn.

Ameena's condition grows serious, as her final
wish is to see Dion. This is starting to sound
  somewhat like Romeo and Juliet.

Return to the Castle to speak to Dion. He will
eventually come to the Inn to meet with Ameena.
  Prepare for an emotional cutscene.

Caution, those who are truly involved in Star
Ocean 3's story, you will shed tears.

  - - -

You can gain the assistance of Adray by heading to the Throne Room
in the Castle. Return to Arias.

  EC07         ~ Arias ~

Once in Arias, head to the Lord's Mansion to speak to Clair. She
will then update everyone on the current situation. Both Cliff
and Fayt are asked to assist Nel in destroying the Vox's Command
Center.

Head upstairs into the Guest Room to speak to Cliff once you are
ready to goto bed. Fayt will awaken the next morning. Speak with
Clair downstairs when you're prepared.

  EC08         ~ Bequerel Mountain Path ~

There are several of Aquaria's and Airyglyphs Soldiers battling
in the Bequerel Mountain Path. Most of them cannot be disturbed,
so don't bother trying to help out the Aquaria Soldiers.

The Mini-Map displayed on the screen will have reset, so you are
travelling through the Bequerel Mountain Path without a clue of
where to go.

Anyways, Vox awaits for Fayt on the eastern side of the Bequerel
Mountain Path.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Vox

  HP: 30,000           MP: 20,000

  Res: Wind            Weak: N/A

Man, I like Boss Battles where you get to start
kicking some serious tail. Unfortunately, that
is not the case for this Boss Battle. Vox is
airbourne, which makes it rather frustrating.
While Vox scores all the attacks, those down
below are trying to score as many hits to Vox
  as physically possible.

His tactics are similar to that of Demetrio's.
He uses the same Special Attacks, but he has
  much greater strength.

One of the attacks is Steel Rend, which won't
do much other than throw one of a character
  high up into the air.

Fortunately this is cake compared to the Boss
Battles which attack your characters' MP.

  = = =

Soon after the battle, the Vendeeni attack, which destroys
the entire fleet of Aquarian and Airyglyph Soldiers. Start
east, back towards Arias to a series of unfortunate events.
Fayt eventually begins re-writing history... Literally.

  EC09         ~ Aquios ~

You're back at Castle Aquaria in Aquios. Return back to
the corridor and to the room opposite of the Fabrication
Room.

This is up the western corridor, first door on the right.
Speak with Dion inside. You'll then need to return back
to the Inn. Speak with Ameena, then return to Dion.

After two unfortunate events, Fayt, Cliff, and Nel have
another event which must be dealt with. Eventually, an
associate and friend of both Cliff and Mirage will come
to save the day.

After several scenes and events, Fayt will be back in
the Conference Room... Though he never left. Return
to Queen Aquaria's Audience Chamber. Here's a funny
scene if I've ever seen one.

Return to the Great Temple of Castle Aquaria. Inside,
watch as Nel open the Sealed Cavern. Speak to the
Priestess to obtai some Disintegration Hammers. You
will not be able to get through the Sealed Cavern
without these.

  FC01         ~ Sealed Cavern ~

Start down the staircase into the Sealed Cavern. Start
down the horrendously long corridor.

The first few areas are pretty straight-forward. Start
north to two Treasure Chests in the room with a Bronze
Brute.

Examine the statue in the north-western corner. Turn
the switch on, then return to the entrance. Head
through the eastern room, then continue to the next
area.

You'll need to time your way past the several shifting
blocks. Once on the other side, continue through the
northern door to the next area.

Head through the shifting platforms. Be careful not to
get struck when they decend back to the surface. Start
through the eastern room.

There is a large door within this room which won't open,
so continue through the north-western door to the next
area. There's a Save Sphere in this area.

Head west, then through the north-western door. This is
pretty straight-forward, continue through a series of
rooms to a Treasure Chest. Inside the Treasure Chest is
a Lunar Talisman.

In the room directly after the one with the three shifting
platforms is a cracked wall. Use the Hammer to break it
open.

Head past the Treasure Chests to a Treasure Chest which
contains an Earth Shielding. Back in the area with the
ridiculously large door, there is a cracked wall next
to the large door. Use a Hammer to break it open.
Continue to the next area and descend the staircase.

There is a small statue at the bottom of the stairs.
Examine it to pull the lever. In the same room are
two Treasure Chests which contain Blackberries and
Anointed Chain Mail.

Back in the room with the Save Sphere, head through
the north-western door. Continue up the corridor to
the next area and search for a crack on the south
wall.

Examine the statue to find a switch. Pull the switch,
then return to the room directly after the one with
the Save Sphere. It is the room with the two blocks
which don't move.

Save the game, then enter the next room for a Mini-
Boss Fight

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Flying Knight

  HP: 17,000           MP: 240

  Res: Fire            Weak: Water

The simplest and most logical way to defeat the
Flying Knight is to use Ice Blade or Fire Blade.
This saves the time of straining through the HP.
This could easily finish off the Flying Knight
  in a couple of hits.

This still gets you all the EXP and Fol without
much effort. Trust me, you will need to save up
  strength for the Boss Battle.

  = = =

Ascend the staircase to the Shrine of Kaddan. This is where
things can become frustrating.

  FC02         ~ Shrine of Kaddan ~

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Crystal Statue

  HP: 15,000           MP: 431

  Res: Earth   Wind    Weak: Water
       Fire

Though the Crystal Statue may seem easy, it is very quick,
which makes it very difficult to attack. Fortunately, the
Crystal Statue is a target for MP Attacks.

Save strength for now and just attack the Crystal Statue
with an MP Attack such as Fire Blade or Ice Blade. You
should be able to defeat it within a couple of strikes.
This will still get you all the EXP and Fol.

  = = =

You'll obtain a Saint's Stone for defeating the Crystal Statue. Now
tell me that wasn't too difficult. You'll encounter an Aquarian
Soldier in the next room.

There is another Crystal Statue in the eastern room. Use the same
tactics as the previous one. You'll receive another Saint's Stone
for defeating the Crystal Statue.

Vendeeni Soldiers have taken up residence inside the Shrine. You'll
likely encounter several Vendeeni Soldiers along the way. Head to
the southern corridor. This should take Fayt to what may seem like
a dead-end. Just wait a few moments for the roof to collapse. This
can be tricky to avoid to falling debris.

The wall to the left of the entrance has now cracked. Inside are
two Treasure Chests. This includes Compounding Elixirs and a
Saint's Stone. You can also obtain another Saint's Amulet from
the furnace.

Backtrack two rooms then use the Hammers on the northern cracked
wall. Inside are five Treasure Chests which contain a Shabby
Textbook, Blackberries, Compounding Elixirs, Heavy Armor, and
Cooking Ingredients.

Return tot he previous room then enter the eastern door to the
next area. The wall directly behind the entrance is cracked.
You may use Hammers to break through. Inside are two Treasure
Chests which contain a Hammer Charm and a Book of Prophecies.

Return to the previous room, then continue down the corridor to
a Save Sphere. Use the Save Sphere, then enter the next area.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Crystal Cerberus

  HP: 30,000           MP: 3,500

  Res: Earth   Water   Weak: N/A
       Fire    Wind

Unfortunately, the Crystal Cerberus has somewhat more MP
than the two Mini-Bosses. The Crystal Cerberus is also
extremely fast. You're going to have difficulties with
  this fight.

If the Crystal Cerberus becomes somewhat tough, then you
  can always Escape.

Fortunately, the Crystal Cerberus does not have anything
for a Special Attack. Not that I've seen anyways.

  = = =

Continue through a series of rooms. There's a room which
may seem as though it is a trap, but there is nothin it
should be concerned about. In the next room are several
Treasure Chests, some which have also been opened.

Inside are Blueberries, Aquaberries, Blackberries, and
Cooking Ingredients. Wait for a bit, as there will be
another earthquake.

The western wall should now be cracked. Use a Hammer to
break through. The next area is pretty straight-forward,
head through the area without getting hit. There are a
couple Treasure Chests on the other side which contain
an Orb of Foe Finding, while the second one cannot be
accessed.

Backtrack to the previos room and head south, south again,
then east. The next room has a crack in the wall. Inside
this next room is another Treasure Chest. Do NOT open the
Treasure Chest. Head to the next room, then north. Ascend
the staircase, then enter through the eastern room.

Continue through a series of rooms. You can avoid the
Crystal Statue. Keep heading north until you come to
a room with a broken wall on the east side. Continue
to the next area.

You'll be in a room with four possible doors. First, head
through the northern door. Head down the eastern corridor
and enter the southern door. The path is straight-forward
from here.

You'll come to a windy corridor. Essentially there is only
one door which can be taken, but there are several Chests
that contain Cooking Ingredients and Blueberries. Just go
to the next room.

Touch the Red Gem in the next room. This will cause another
Tremor. Return to the corridor, then to the previous room
and enter the northen room. Inside, make your way through
the maze. You'll need to avoid the shifting blocks. At the
end of the maze are four Treaure Chests containing Smithery
Materials, Alchemy Materials, and two Compounding Elixirs.

  - - - - - - - - -
  Through the Mazes
  - - - - - - - - -

Yeah, I said Mazes. There are two to pass.

West, North, North, West, West, North, East.
These are the directions to Maze 1.

West, East, North, North, East, North.
These are the directions to Maze 2.

Though I am certain you should be able to
  figure this out for yourself.

  - - -

Anyways, the area with the four Treasure Chests should now
be open. Continue through to the next area, use the Save
Sphere. We are FINALLY at the end of the Shrine.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Vendeeni Soldiers

Revenge. The Vendeeni Soldiers use Disruptor
Rifles. You could use Maria to even the odds.

These Soldiers tend to get Trigger Happy.
You'll start to become extremely outnumbered
if even one of your characters becomess
  incipacitated.

  = = =

After the Vendeeni Soldiers have been slaughtered, return
to Aquious in the Audience Chamber to information Queen
Aquaria that the OPA is safe.

Tbe backtracking is fortunately easy, as there's no more
enemies in the Shrine of Kaddan. Make sure to use the
Save Sphere before returning to the Sealed Cavern. Hmm,
something isn't right.

  FC03         ~ Aquios ~

You'll arrive back in the Great Temple of Castle Aquaria.
Return to the Audience Chamber to speak with the Queen.
After which, Maria takes Fayt outside to talk.

  FC04         ~ Transport Ship Radish ~

  - - - - - - -
  Maria's Story
  - - - - - - -

This starts to get me thinking of Lemony Snickets, a
  Series of Unfortunate Events.

At times the world may seem an unfriendly and sinister
place, but believe us when we say there is much more
good in it than bad, and what may seem like a series
of unfortunate events may just be, in fact, the first
  steps of a journey.

I took that off the trailer, so there's nothing you
  probably haven't heard.

Anyways, you will have control throughout the entire
event two times while on the Radish. Both these two
times, speak to the others in the vicinity, then to
  Jessie.

Get ready to watch one of the funniest, but one of
the best FMVs in the game so far.

  - - -

After a series of events, a Soldier will approach both Fayt and
Maria. Nel has returned from Airyglyph.

  FC05         ~ Aquios ~

Return to Castle Aquaria, then to the Audience Chamber to speak
to the Queen. The King of Airyglyph wishes to speak to the Queen.
You're asked to meet in the Ancient Ruins of Mosel.

Return to the Inn in Aquios and Save the Game. Start back towards
Peterny, then west to Sanmite Steppe.

  FC06         ~ Sanmite Steppe ~

Head north towards the bridge in Sanmite Steppe. Schweimer will
then make an attack.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Schweimer

  HP: 16,800           MP: 1,400

  Res: Wind            Weak: None

Yeah! We're taking out the Dragon Brigade one by one.
Schweimer is similar to Vox and Demetrio. He doesn't
have as much strength as Vox, but he has two Dragon
Legions by his side, and Schweimer is also Airbourne.

Schweimer is an easy target for MP Attacks. Take out
the two Dragon Legions before attacking Schweimer.

  = = =

Our next stop is in Surferio. This is in the north-western region
of the Sanmite Stepper

  FC07   ~ Surferio ~

There's a scene of Fayt and Nel examining a Battle Mech, east of
the Village Chief's House. There's not much of a Marketplace in
Surferio, but their are several Private Homes. Most of these
Private Homes have Treasure Chests which contain various items.

The Grocer is the other business in Surferio. Though there isn't
much, this should be enough to stock up your characters. South
of the Village Chieft's House is the entrance to the Mosel Dunes.

You'll enter the Passge from Parch to Plenty. The path is pretty
straight-forward, so there is no need to explain anything in the
next few areas. Just continue east until you've reached the exit.
There are however many side-roads which you can take. Though the
side-roads are all dead-ends, there are plenty of monsters which
can be attacked for EXP and Fol.

You'll encounter the Old Man of the Dunes at the exit. He states
that he was expecting you. Exit to the Dunes.

  FC08         ~ Mosel Dunes ~

Head through the Mosel Desert towards the northern area. This
takes you deeper into the desert.

  - - - - - - - - -
  Winter Conditions
  - - - - - - - - -

The Mosel Desert is probably hotter than Florida in
the summer. You'll see a number in the upper-left
corner of the screen. This indicates the amount of
energy Fayt has left before he passes out in the
  sands.

Between each area is an oasis. The oasis can will
temporarily stop the timer. You can also press the
X Button to replenish Fayt's energy.

There's plenty of treasure chests within the area,
which may be somewhat out of the way, however, if
you happen to pass out, Fayt awakens back towards
  the entrance.

You need to head north-east. You'll come across the
Ancient Mosel Ruins and a large oasis.

  FC09         ~ Ancient Ruins of Mosel ~

You'll probably wonder later on in the Ancient Ruins
of Mosel of the several statues. Okay, I'll explain.

At the entrance, step in front of the two statues.
These statues will eventually fight. After which,
a door will unlock. Proceed through the northern
door to the next area.

There are two directions you may go. East will take
Fayt through several rooms. The first contains some
Blackberries in a Treasure Chest. The second room
has three possible directions.

The north-western door is a long corridor which would
have been equivelant to taking the western door from
the entrance.

The south-western room is a dead-end which contains a
Treasure Chests. Blackberries can be obtained from
the Treasure Chest.

The north-western room has two Treasure Chests which
contain Aquaberries and 40,000 Fol. There is also a
Thief Statue in the center of the room. Create a
Warrior to have the Thief defeated.

Return to the previous chamber and keep heading east
until you enter a new room. It may be a dead-end,
but a Warrior Statue rests within this room. Create
a Symbologist to defeat the Warrior.

Return to the previous room and head south, almost to
the southern room. Instead of proceeding through the
southern door, heading through the northern door. In
here is a Treasure Chest which contains Blueberries.

Return to the previous room and head through the south
door. We'll refer to this area as the Workshop. This
somewhat gives me a checkpoint, making it easier to
refer to later.

Loop around to the eastern side and proceed through
the door. Directly ahead is another unexplored room
on the eastern wall. There is a Treasure Chest that
contains an Aqua Veil.

You'll also see a Runologist Statue within this room.
Crate a Thief to defeat the Runologist.

This opens the door to where King Airyglyph awaits
for the Queen. Use the Save Sphere before entering
the next room.

After speaking to King Airyglyph, return to Peterny.
Once there, the Queen will be escorted back to
Aquios.

  - - - - - - - - - -
  Travel to Airyglyph
  - - - - - - - - - -

Airyglyph has some of the best shops Star Ocean 3
offers this early in the game.

Though the items may be substantially great, they
can also become extremely expensive. You'll need
  a decent amount of Fol.

  - - -

  GC01         ~ Airyglyph ~

Once in Airyglyph, start towards Airyglyph Castle.
Follow Woltar to the Dungeon below.

You can either follow Woltar or speak to him two
times to be taken directly there.

With Albel now in Fayt's Party, head back to the
Airyglyph entrance and exit back to the Traum
Mountains. Directly outside the entrance is a
Dragon Brigade Soldier.

You'll be taken to the Bequerel Mountain Path.
Head west to the Barr Mountain Path.

  GC02         ~ Barr Mountain Path ~

You'll be the the Mountains of Barr, AKA The Barr Mountain
Path. Start down the eastern path. Obtain the Aquaberries
at the far eastern side of the path, then continue through
the north trail.

Continue down the trail, cross the fallen tree in the river,
then start down the western trail. There's a Treasure Chest
in the next area on the far western side which contains
Writing Materials. Start up the northern trail.

This area is pretty straight forward. Cross the river, then
enter the next area where the Black Dragon flies above.
Let the Black Dragon carry Fayt to the Dragon Nest. Once
there, start north to a Treasure Chest containing Superior
Chain Mail.

Return down the path and start down the southern path. This
will eventually take you to the Barr Caves.

You'll then encounter a cute cuddly wuddly Baby Dragon.
Follow the Baby Dragon through the entrance back to the
Mountains of Barr. Open the Treasure Chest to obtain
46,000 Fol. Start down through the northern cave.

Oops! Did I forget to mention there was a hole in this cave?
Now it seems the only way out is exploration. Start through
the northern trail

This is somewhat of another maze. The eastern corridor leads
to a Treasure Chest which contains Wind Shielding. The north-
western chamber is also a dead-end, however there is are two
Treasure Chests which contain Blueberries and 18,100 Fol.

The north-eastern corridor is the exit back outside. Proceed
north until you are faced with a path which splits off into
two directions.

Head west, then continue uphill to a Save Sphere. Enter the
cave behind the waterfall to encounter an extremely large
Dragon. Could this be The Marquis?

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Blue Dragon Zombie

  HP: 30,000           MP: 2,500

  Res: Earth   Wind    Weak: N/A
       Fire    Water

Well, the Blue Dragon Zombie has no weakness
aside from the MP. Use bother MP Attacks or
HP Attacks, whatever suits your needs.

It's pretty much stuck where it's at, but it
still uses Fire Breath, which can create a
  stream of fire.

This can deal considerable damage to any of
  the characters in it's wake.

  = = =

After the Blue Dragon Zombie has been defeated, a Dragon's
Windpipe will be obtained. Return to the previous area.
Start down the southern path, then head east. Continue
forward to another cave behind the waterfall. Enter the
cave.

Open the Treasure Chest to obtain Ripe Berries. Return to
the previous area and start back down the western slope.
Return to the area with the shattered building and search
within the ruins to find a Dragon Bone Flute.

Return south, out of this area and back to the cave. Head
further south back to the waterfall. Return to the Black
Dragon to be taken back to the Dragon's Nest.

Head south back to the room with the Baby Dragon. There is
a certain way the Dragon Flute must be played. The Baby
Dragon will express the emotions.

O Button (Light Tap) - Happy Tune
O Button (Hold) - Playful Tune
O Button (Tap Hard) - Sad Tune
O Button (Hold Hard) - Angry Tune

Return to the cave with the hole and drop to the surface
below. Wrap around the wall and head south to the next
area. Head east in this area to a Happy Dragon.

Play the Happy Dragon Tune to enter the Ruins of Bar.
Phew! That was tough work.

  GC03         ~ Ruins of Barr ~

Start by using the Save Sphere at the entrance to the
Ruins of Barr.

There is an Angry Dragon to the east. Play the Angry
Dragon Tune to access the next area. There's a Chest
in this area which contains Synthesis Materials. Now
examine the Dragon Specimens to obtain the Dragon
Cranium. Return to the previous area and start up
the northern corridor.

Play the Happy Dragon Tune to access the next area of
the Ruins.

There's another relief painting within this chamber.
The floor tiles almost emit a dim beam of light.
Head down the western corridor and play the Sad
Tune to access the next area.

Step on the northern tile, then head south. Enter
through the southern chamber by playing the Angry
Dragon Tune. Step on the tile then returion to
the previous area.

Enter through the northern door, then the eastern
door to a Treasure Chest to obtain a Masterwork
Plate.

Through the northern door is a shifting portrait.
With this, quickly play the portrait which is
displayed. Inside are two Treasure Chests which
contain Magical Berries and a Damask Plate.

Return to the area with the several floor tiles
and start down the eastern corridor. Play the
Playful Dragon tune to access the next area.

Start down to the end of the corridor and step on
the tile. Enter the south-eastern door. There's a
small room at the end of the corridor. Inside is
a Treasure Chest which contains Blackberries.

Start up the northern corridor and into the north
room. Head down the corridor to the western room.
Two Treasure Chests are in this room. Inside are
a Spirit Stone and a Wind Charm.

Return to the previous corridor and approach the
shifting portrait. Play the portraits which come
across, then enter the next room. Inside is a
Wind Pixie inside a Treasure Chest.

Backtrack to the corridor directly east of the one
with the several floor tiles. Play the Sad Tune in
front of the Sad Dragon. This will gain you access
to the north-eastern room. Inside is a floor tile.
Save the Game, then return to the chamber with the
several floor tiles.

Step in front of the central Angry Dragon and play
the Angry Tune to access the next area. Enter the
next room, Save the Game, then play the Playful
Tune.

Step on the tile then return to the room with all
the several floor tiles. Step on the central tile,
present the Dragon's Cranium, then head north.

Save the Game, then enter the northern room. Watch
the scene

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Robinwind

  HP: 50,000           MP: 1,800

  Res: Wind            Weak: N/A

Wanna play? Let's play! Knock off Robinwind's MP.
At this stage of the game, and with all the Boss
Strategies where I've told you to use MP Attacks,
hopefully you have some good MP Attacks.

Have Cliff constantly use Fists of Fury. Set his
Tactics to "Attack with all your Might". Don't
ever take off Fists of Fury. It is one of Cliff's
best attacks against Mini-Bosses and Bosses.

Things can become extremely frustrating when this
Boss starts getting MP Happy, using constant MP
  Attacks, while causing Confusion too.

  = = =

  GC04         ~ Urssa Lava Caves ~

Start down the eastern trail, then north. Open the
Treasure Chest to obtain a Damask Gauntlet. Start
down the eastern corridor. Head through a series
of rooms until eventually Fayt encounters a Bunny
Statue.

Make your way around the statue and obtain the Key
from behind. Backtrack to the main entrance, then
start through the western corridor. Start north,
then search for the Bunny Door.

Use the Mini-Map to guide you through the maze. You
can also obtain several Treasure Chests within the
area. You should eventually come across the Bunny's
House, or Vanilla's House.

  - - - - - - - - -
  Where's my Money?
  - - - - - - - - -

Vanilla will create a Ring of Disintegration for Fayt,
but at an additional cost. Unfortunately, Vanilla is
your only source to see the Marquis. There are three
  options to paying Vanilla.

Cash, Debit, Check, Visa, or Mastercard.
  (Just Kidding).

1000 Fol (Gets Fayt the Disintegration Ring)
10,000 Fol (Gets Fayt the Disintegration Ring and Gutsy Bunny)
30,000 Fol (Gets Fayt the Disintegration Ring and Gutsy Bunny)

Keep the Gutsy Bunny unequipped within difficult areas,
as this creates much stronger enemies to deal with.

  - - -
Backtrack to the Ruins of Barr, to the Barr Mountain
Path, back to Airyglyph. You can speak to the Dragon
Brigade Soldier on the Barr Mountain Path.

  GC05         ~ Airyglyph Aqueducts ~

If you remember the area where Fayt and Cliff escaped from the
Aqueducts the first time, enter through there. Remove the hunk
of ice directly north and enter through the next room.

Open the Treasure Chest to obtain a Glowstone. Return to the
Urssa Lava Caves.

  GC06         ~ Urssa Lava Caves ~

With the Glowstone, Vanilla should now be able to create the
Ring of Disintegration.

With the Ring of Disintergration, return through the maze to
the previous area. Return to the entrance and start north.
The boulder should only be a few rooms ahead. Once you've
reached the boulder, start to the next room.

You'll encounter the Marquis inside, as well as some funny
dialogue.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Crosell (The Marquis)

  HP: 29,000           MP: 4,200

  Res: Earth   Wind    Weak: N/A
       Fire

Well, the Boss Music has changed, which means this
is not just a Boss, this is "The Boss". You'll have
  to battle the Marquis twice.

A surprising strategy would be to use Fayt, Albel,
and Cliff. Have Cliff continuously use Fists of
Fury. Albel and Fayt should focus on their Major
  Attacks.

Make sure a Healer is selected. Though Fayt, Cliff,
and Albel are all attackers, one should focus more
  on Healing.

Corsell has several attacks which wouuld probably
make this Boss Strategy quite lengthly. Suffice
to say, Corsell can have your party defeated in
  minutes.

  BOSS BATTLE

Well, the situations has changed in this Boss Battle.
This time, Corsell tends to use MP Attacks which can
  be frustrating to deal with.

MP Attacks are dealt when Corsell begins stomping on
the ground. If this happens, quickly get out of the
  way.

Continue following the same tactics as before. Use MP
and HP Items to restore HP / MP.

Start through the northern room to the Bridge. Watch the
scene, as everybody eventually leaves Elicoor 2.

Insert Disk 2.

You'll encounter a Vendeeni Ship, along with Sophia and
Dr. Leingod.

You'll be asked to make an exchange between Fayt and Dr.
Leingod. Notice the Captain of the Dasvanu never said a
word of Sophia.

The location of the exchange will take place within the
Kirlsa Training Facility on Elicoor II. Speak to all of
thew crewmembers aboard the Diplo.

You'll probably receive a transmission from Maria soon.
After which, return to the Transporter Room. This is
on the upper level of the Diplo in te southern room.

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Vendeeni Soldier

The Vendeeni were obvious going to start a scheme of
their own and blame the others. It's typical villain
  schemes.

These shouldn't be too hard, I mean it's only Fayt
and Cliff, but with the immense strength your two
characters have, so long as the Gutsy Bunny is not
equipped, the Vendeeni and their Disruptor Ridfles
  shouldn't be a problem.

  = = =

  HC02         ~ Kirlsa Training Facility ~

Use the Save Sphere to Save the Game, then head back
down to Floor 1 and take the elevator to Floor 4.

One of your characters comes to destroy the Transport
Jammer. Shortly after is an unfortunate events, then
a Boss Fight.

Man, how unfortunate, I don't know if I can play this
Star Ocean 3 anymore.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Biwig

  HP: 26,000           MP: 13,816

  Res: Water           Weak: Earth
       Fire

This is one of my favorite battles for several reasons.
First, after the character has successfully destroyed
the Jammer, that character was Nel for me. One of my
favorite characters in Star Ocean 3.

Second, Biwig also kills Robert Leingod to save Fayt.
There goes Maria's chance for answers.

Three, for capturing Robert and Sophia and attacking
Hyda IV, and Elicoor II, and this whole series of
  unfortunate events.

Finally, this battle has one of the best Boss Battle
Themes of Star Ocean 3, "Bitter Dance".

This battle can become extremely complicating due to
the fact that the Vendeeni use Disruptor Rifles, and
  have extremely fast attacks.

Now what I don't understand is how those can be hurt
in battle with disruptor rifles several times, while
in the story, one shot and they're dead. Can someone
  explain this to me?

Use Fists of Fury constantly, while giving Biwig no
chance, or very little to attack back.

  - - -

  HC03         ~ Federation Aquaelie ~

Watch the scene, Fayt eventually arrives on Commodore
Wittcomb.

After several series of unfortunate events, return to
the Transporter Room. Exit to the Lower Corridor.
Enter through the western room to be taken to the

Start down the central corridor to the south-western
corridor. Enter the first western door to encounter
Maria.

Speak to Maria once more, then enter the southern
room to Sophia's Room. Speak to Sophia twice, now
return to the corridor.

Enter the room directly across from Sophia. This is
the room the character who destroyed the Jamming
Device is centered in. I'll use Nel from this point
forward, as she was the character which I obtained
back in Kirlsa Training Facility.

Also, if you have followed this Game Guide exactly,
you too should have Nel.

The southern room is a Game Room which is used to
access a Workshop, Outfitter, or Armorer.

Enter down the south-eastern corridor. Enter into
the central-eastern room. Speak to Cliff, then
exit back to the corridor.

Above Cliff's Room is Fayt's Room. There is a Save
Sphere inside which can be used to Save the Game.
Go to sleep in Fayt's Bed to continue the story.

After arrival at the Federation #5 Station, return
to the Bridge to speak to Commodore Wittcomb.

You'll then return to the central corridor. Enter
through the southern door to the Transporter Room.
You'll arrive in Moonbase.

  HC04         ~ Moonbase ~

Head west from the Transporter Room to the Moonbase.
You'll eventually encounter Peppita.

Peppita will eventually ask Fayt to join the party.
This doesn't happen for a short time. However, the
Rossetti Troupe is shocked when they overhear this
proposal.

It's up to you to decide, and I understand that it
is a tough decision at that.

Return through the eastern corridors to the central
station. Start down the north-western corridor and
take the elevator to the lower level.

Open the Treasure Chest for 32,000 Fol, then speak
to the Private First Class Leon. Start back up the
elevator and head north-west to the Habitation
Zone.

Open the western Treasure Chest to obtain Cooking
Ingredients. Take the north-eastern corridor to a
Treasure Chest which contains Ripe Berries.

Backup, then locate a Treasure Chest on the north
ledge which contains Ablative Armor. Start down
the western corridor to encoutner a Proclaimer.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Proclaimer

  HP: 50,000           MP: 50,000

  Res: Earth   Water   Weak: Wind
       Fire

This Boss uses borth HP and MP Attacks. You'll
constantly want to have Cliff using Fists of
  Fury to defeat the Proclaimer.

Make sure you have a character capable of Heal.
Sophia or Nel would be a good choice. You'd
probably be able to defeat the Proclaimer in
  a couple minutes.

  = = =

After which, Peppita comes up to make the finishing
blow on the Proclaimer.

Start down the western corridor. Take the southern
elevator to the lower level. Open the Treasure Chest
to obtain a Life Saver, then return to the previous
room.

There are two Treasure Chests around the perimeter
of the central structure which contain a Trading
Card EX1 and Blackberries. Start down the south-
western corridor to the next area.

Proceed to the central structure. Counter-Clockwise
is a Treasure Chest which contains a Sunrise
Dictionary. There is a Treasure Chest on the other
side as well which contains Synthesis Materials.
Start down the eastern corridor to the next area.

Start to the central structure. There's two Chests
on the central strucuture. Use the eastern Save
Sphere then start down the elevator to Robert
Leingod's Lab.

  The Tension Rises
  - - - - - - - - -

Back at the entrance of the Federation Station,
Fayt says farewell to Pepitta. This is where a
tough descision had to be made.

Can you feel the tension? After a convincing
story, Sophia and Pepitta turn to Fayt. When
accepted, Pepitta remains in the party until
  the very end.

  - - -

Return down the eastern corridor to the Transporter
and back to the Aquaelie.

  HC05         ~ Aquaelie ~

Return to the Bridge to speak to Commodore Wittcomb.
After a disturbing scene, return to Fayt's Room.
Fayt awakens with a call from Commodore Wittcomb.
Return to the Bridge of the Aquaelie.

The situation has changed, as the Executioner has
now started towards the Aquaelie. Return to the
southern Transporter Room to the Shuttle Bay.

After what seems to have been the best FMV in Star
Ocean 3, the Aquaelie has been destroyed.

  HC06         ~ Shuttle Calnus ~

Maria sees that the Aquaelie has taken a hearvy and
quick defeat. Everybody about the Aquaelie has been
killed. The ship has been destroyed.

What? There's nobody at the Helm? Ahhh! (Ahem), the
Transporter Room will take everbody to the Planet
Styx.

This is probably going to be one of the hardest of
planets which you have visited so far.

  HC07         ~ Planet Styx ~

Phew! If you though the Proclaimer was tough, wait
until you check out the monsters on Planet Styx.

This is a really good place to Level Up. There is
a Save Sphere and an HP / MP Restore Beacon.

Start up the northern trail and continue heading
north until you come to a two-way intersection.
Head west, as the eastern path is a dead-end and
contains no Treasure Chests.

The path is pretty straight-forward, as basically
every other way you go would lead to a dead-end.

This is a much larger and more opened area of the
Planet Styx. Though it may be confusing to search
for the Time Gate, it can be found directly north-
east.

  THE SPHERE COMPANY

  IC01         ~ Arkives ~

This is where the story unfolds, as the plot has
taken a dramatic twist of events. Something that
you would have never expected.

  EVENT BATTLE
  Security Service Members

Whew! Six of them, this should be somewhat difficult.
The Security Service Members (SSMs) are Trigger Happy,
  with some immense strength.

Fortunately their health is incredibly low, make sure
to Heal when neccessary, and keep using Fists of Fury.

  = = =

Start down the southern walkway, then west, then to the
northern-eastern house. Inside is a Treasure Chest that
contains 35,000 Fol.

Start west, then north, then west again to another home.
Inside is a Treasure Chest which contains Ripe Berries.

Head east, then south, then west to the north-western
House. Inside is a Treasure Chest that contain Ripe
Berries. Return back outside the Private Home.

Start east, then south, then head to the south-western
building. Open the Treasure Chest inside to obtain
Blackberries. Return back outside.

Head north, then east, then to the south-western house.
There's a Treasure Chest inside which contains Cooking
Ingredients.

Head all the way to the south-eastern house. There is
a Treasure Chest inside which contains a Jewel of
Alertness.

Return outside, then head west, then down the southern
walkway to the eastern building. There is a Treasure
Chest inside which contains a Physical Enhancer.

Return outside and make your way to the central prism
to be transported to the next area. This is the
Marketplace of Arkives.

East is the Armorer of Arkives, west is the Item Shop,
and another Prism which will take Fayt to Spacetime
Station.

The Station is in the center of the perimeter. On the
northern side is the Inn "Capsule Bed Zero-G". After
entering Gemity, an event occurs. Head south through
the Spacetime Station. The southern Transporter will
take Fayt to Gemity.

  IC02         ~ Gemity ~

Enter through the nortern door to Gemity to trigger
an event.

There are several shops in Gemity. It's a somewhat
like Las Vegas without all the Casinos.

There's two Shopkeepers on the western and eastern
side of Gemity. On the western side is an Outfitter
"Muscle Garden". On the eastern side is the Tavern
"Come Together Pub".

Futher north is an Amorer "Remul's Workshop of
Weaponry", and an Eatery "Unalterable Past".

On the western side is an Outfitter "The Princess's
Test Site Pharmacy". Start north to the next area.

There are two Teleporters on the two sides of the
central structure. This is the Eternal Sphere.
Enter the Eternal Sphere for an event to occur.

Maria will start after Sophia grants access to Maria
for administrator privliges.

Speak to all the characters within the area twice,
then return to Maria. You'll now select the area
of travel.

  - - - - - - -
  Vanguard III
  - - - - - - -

You'll arrive in the Forest on Vanguard III.
Return to Whipple to speak to both Niklas
  and Meena.

Speak to Meena. Meena asks that Fayt stays
the night, so accept the offer.

Return to the Portal to the Eternal Sphere.
  This will start an event.

  - - - - - -
  Elicoor II
  - - - - - -

You'll arrive in the Aire Hills of Elicoor
II. You must choose an 8th Party Member:

  ROGER

Roger can be found at his residence in Surferio.
  Speak to him and accept.

  NEL

Nel can be obtained in Aquios inside the Castle
in 'Nel Zelpher's Room'. Speak to Nel, select
the option, "I don't have time to talk".

  ALBEL

Albel is in the Urssa Lava Caves within the
same area where you previously fough Corsell.
You'll have the combat Albel in a one-on-one
  battle before he accepts.

If Albel does not appear in the Urssa Lava
Caves, speak to Woltar back in Arias.

  - - - - - - - - -
  Sol III, Moonbase
  - - - - - - - - -

The Amorer "Rokumundo Antique Shop" sells Guns. Yeah!
Now we can start wandering the Eternal Sphere with a
  deadly weapon.

Speak to some of the members of the Peppita Troupe.
After which, start back to Gemity.

  - - -

You'll be back in the central area where all the Mini-Games are
happening.

Think of this area as a giant circle. Within this circle are a
hefty amount of attractions.

North is the Arena, which is an excellent place to level up a
few characters.

Through the north-eastern and north-western Transporter is
Guttarin, Master of Runic Chess. Through the south-eastern
and souther-western Transporter is the Bunny Races. It's a
Bunny Race Track.

The central Transporters is the Eternal Sphere. Anywhere in
the Milky Way Galaxy except Hyda IV may be visited by Fayt.
Finally, the southern walkway will take Fayt bacck to the
Marketplace of Gemity.

Head south the the Station to speak to the Station Pesonnel.
After which, Fayt should be able to be transported to the
Sphere. You're immediately ambushed by Azazer.

  = = =

  EVENT BATTLE
  Security Force Member

These are slightly tougher than the Security Service
  Members back at the Arkives.

Start attacking the Security Force Members (SFMs). A
Healer should continuously be Healing those on the
  Battle Field.

Have Cliff use Fists of Fury, and Fayt or Albel as a
  main attacker.

Be careful how the Event Battle is played. There is
a Boss Battle directly after the SFMs.

  = = =

  Azazer: You're just Data!

Man that expression is absolutely priceless. *Ahem*,
  Time to defeat Azazer.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Azazer

  HP: 99,000           MP: 9,000

Azazer is the type who uses MP Attacks frquently.
His attacks are extremely slow, but deal a great
  amount of damage.

He tends to use Guard quite a bit. You will not
be able to switch character between battles, or
  heal HP / MP.

If Cliff's Fists of Fury Attack is set as a Major
Attack, he should be able to completely devestate
  Azazer's Defenses.

  IC03         ~ The Sphere 211 ~

This area is somewhat T-Shaped with a few other
  walkways off to the side.

All walkways except for the north-western one are
  dead-ends.

The western walkway back at the entrance of the
2nd Floor is a corridor to a Treasure Chest.
  Inside are some Cooking Ingredients.

The south-western walkway leads to a dead-end at

Back in the previous corridor, continue through
  the north-western corridor.

Start north, then down through the south-western
  corridor.

This is a room which has two possible directions.
You may either head south or north. The southern

This is somewhat of a rest area.

Head through the western walkway to the next area.
You'll encounter the Owner, AKA Luther. Belzeber
  and Berial will soon arrive.

  = = =

  BOSS FIGHT
  Belzeber and Berial

  BELZEBER

  BERIAL
  HP: 70,000           MP: 5,000

  Res: Earth           Weak: Wind
       Water

Uhh... So Belzeber uses a Whip and speaks with...
Okay... Let's just get to the Boss Strategy.

Make sure that you have a Healer in the Party.
Make sure the Healer is either a Symbology or
Runology user, rather than someone who's more
  useful with offense.

Cliff should use Fists of Fury. Fayt should be
using Symbology such as Deep Freeze or Stone
  Rain.

Belzeber uses MP Attacks, take out Belzeber as
soon as possible before attacking Berial. Now
Berial tends to use strong Ranged Attacks. It
is safe to say that he can become frustrating
  and annoying.

  = = =

With these two, questionable characters out of the way,
return to the Blair Office and proceed to the northern
room. Continue north, then west, then south.

In this corridor, head down the eastern corridor to a
Treasure Chest which contains a Laser Weapon. Return
to the previous corridor and head south, then east to
another Treasure Chest contain a Mental Enhancer.

Head back to the room with the Lv3 Robo Gunner, then
start through the north-eastern corridor. Start east
to a Treasure Chest which contain a Trading Card 2,
Ceramic Gauntlet, Synthesis Materials, and Ripe
Berries.

Start up the north-western corridor to the Elevator
Control Panel. Use the Control Panel, then return
towards the spiral staircase. directly east of the
office.

There are two Transporters which have now activated.
Though there are absolutely several exciting floors
to visit, I am not going to spend mt Saturday Night
with the several details of each floor, as they are
optional and do not have to be completed. Start by
selecting Floor 211.

Unfortunately this Walkthrough is direct, so you'll
want to check out one of the two Sphere 211 Guides
for further assistance in the Sphere 211.

  BOSS BATTLE
  Proclaimer

  HP: 65,000           MP:4,000

  Res: Water   Wind    Weak: Earth
       Fire

If Sophia was in the Party, she will now be leaving
for the duratiion of the Boss Battle.

Ambush! There are two consecutive battles on Styx.
The Proclaimer is pretty much the same as the one
on Moonbase. Watch out for an MP Attack which can
  be pretty devestating.

  = = =

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Enforcer

  HP: 82,000           MP: 35,000

  Res: Earth   Water   Weak: Wind
       Fire

This is the slighly more difficult Boss Battle, as
the attacks the Enforcer uses will do considerable
  damage.

You may find youreslf fighting alone in this Battle
  very soon.

Make sure your Healer remains away from the enemy
and any attack at all times. You'll want to have
Cliff and another capable of dealing some massive
  physical blows to the Enforcer.

Most of the Enforcer's attacks will basically stop
any character nearby from making an attack. If you
are not able to keep up with the Enforcer's strong
blows, then you may want to let the two characters
who are attacking to be controlled through the NPC,
while you focus mainly on Healing.

  = = =

Watch the scene, as Star Ocean 3 has come to a close.
Good Job! You have completed Star Ocean 3! Not...

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Convictor

  HP: 120,000          MP: 10,000

  Res: Fire    Water   Weak: Earth
       Wind

Phew! Three consecutive Boss Battles with no rest
whatsoever. Your character might be worn.

The Convictor has some powerful Special Attacks.
If you are not able to keep your character's HP
healthy, then I would suggest switching to your
Healer to focus on Healing while the two others
  attack the Convictor.

The Convictor has several MP Attacks, which can
be truly devestating to your disadvantage. Once
the Convictor has been defeated, these can then
be expected further throughout the game as just
  regular enemies.

  = = =

  IC04         ~ Planet Styx ~

Use the Save Sphere and the HP / MP Replenisher.
  Backtrack to the southern region.

The shuttle is in the south-eastern region of
Planet Styx. It's pretty straight-forward, so
there is no need to give further direction to
the Shuttle. Just watch out for the Convictor
  spawnings.

  IC05         ~ Flagship Diplo ~

Back on the Flagship Diplo, speak to Marietta
and Steeg on the Upper Deck.

You'll need to speak with every crewmember on
board the Flagship Diplo. After which, speak
to Mirage on the Bridge.

Head to the Transporter Room to be taken back
to Elicoor II.

  ELICOOR II

  JC01         ~ Aquios ~

You'll arrive on the Irisa Fields, outside of Peterny.
Head through Irisia Fields to Aquios. Once in Aquios,
speak to Queen Aquaria. What? You were planning on
enterring the Shrine of Kaddan and just snatching it
from the pedestal?

After speaking to Queen Aquaria, Adray enters into the
Throne Room. Adray is perhaps one of the most annoying
characters in Star Ocean 3.

  JC02         ~ Sealed Cavern ~

Start back into the Sealed Cavern, then towards the
Shrine of Kaddan.

Soon before reaching the Shrine of Kaddan, Fayt will
encounter a Lesser Eye.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Lesser Eye

  HP: 230,000          MP: 56,000

  Res: Earth   Fire    Weak: N/A
       Water   Wind

You'll know the Lesser Eye is capable of casting
Petrification just by the appearance. If this is
what you thought, then you're dead wrong.

Most of the Lesser Eye's Attacks deal considerable
  damage.

If you're unable to keep your characters' health
sufficient, I would suggest coming back to fight
the Lesser Eye when you have gained a few levels.
  Otherwise, play the Healer.

Make sure that Cliff is out and ready. Use both
Acrobat Locus and Fists of Fury. You'll want to
have a second character such as Mirage, or Fayt,
who is able to attack and use Symbology.

The only attack which you desperately may want
to avoid is Dark Sphere. Head as far away as
possible when the surface begins to cloud up.

There's another FAQ / Walkthrough on GameFAQs
which states to "Avoid the Red Circle". There
are two Red Circles in this Boss Battle.

There is Misery Circle and Dark Sphere. Both
are two attacks which should be avoided. The
Misey Circle attacks the target's HP / MP.

The attack which all the Guides on GameFAQs
will likely be referring to Dark Sphere. It
will completely destroy the target's HP.

You'll want to focus on the surface as well as
  the Boss.

  = = =

Phew! Did you survive the Boss Battle? Great! Enter into
the Shrine of Kaddan.

  JC03         ~ Shrine of Kaddan ~

Didn't think that we would ever be coming back to
this place again. Start through the Shrine of
Kaddan. You'll encounter Dark Armor where Fayt
previously encountered the Crystal Cerberus.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Dark Armor

  HP: 67,000           MP: 6,000

  Res: Fire            Weak: N/A

There are three Dark Armors and they are both
  very immense in strength.

These Dark Armors do not even have to get close
to their target to attack, as the Shockwave is
  what delivers the damage.

You'll want to have Cliff use Fists of Fury or
Acrobat Locus, or Fayt's Air Raid / Dimension
  Door Skills.

With Cliff on the field, have another who has
sufficient strength, and Symbology / Runology.

  = = =

continue towards the OPA. You'll encounter a Crystal
Statue along the way.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Crystal Statue

  HP: 168,000          MP: 10,000

  Res: Earth   Wind    Weak: N/A
       Water   Fire

It's similar to the first time when you fought
  the Crystal Statues.

The only difference this time around is a lot
more HP / MP, strength, and Defense. Agility
  remains the same.

Use Fayt's Dimension Door or Air Raid, Cliff's
of Acrobat Locus. Fists of Fury doesn not have
much of an effect on the Crystal Statue.

I'd suggest bringing Sophia or Peppita into
the Battle to gain some much needed EXP.

  = = =

Continue forward through the Shrine of Kaddan to reach
another Mini-Boss.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Dark Eye

  HP: 330,000          MP: 56,000

  Res: Earth   Fire    Weak: N/A
       Water   Wind

What makes the battle extremely difficult is the
fact that any attacks the Dark Eye uses will be
an attack which absorbs HP / MP.

Don't use Elemental Attacks against the Dark Eye.
It'll work out to the Dark Eye's advantage. This
means Adray is absolutely useless for the battle.

So unless Mirage has some good attacks, I would
stick with Fayt and Cliff. Use their strongest
attacks to defeat the Dark Eye.

If you have any powerful MP Attacks which could
be used, the Dark Eye will fall much sooner.

  = = =

Futher forward is the to the OPA. Save the Game, then
enter the room with the OPA. Backtrack all the way to
Castle Aquaria.

Watch the scene, then enter Surferio. Head through the
Surferio to the Dunes, then to the Ancient Ruins of
Mosel.

  JC04         ~ Mosel Dunes ~

Before starting to the Ancient Ruins of Mosel, there's
an enemy Chimera waiting in the Mosel Dunes.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Chimera

  HP: 200,000          MP: 28,000

  Res: Fire            Weak: N/A
       Wind

Phew! This is one Boss not to be misjudged. The
Chimera is extremely quick. You'll want to have
  an Amulet of Freedom equipped.

What makes the Chimera much more frustrating is
the fact of which it can Paralyze. These series
of attacks almost makes it impossible to make a
  direct hit.

Follow the process of which I've been using in
  previous battles.

Use Cliff's Fists of Fury, Nel's Mirror Slice
or Whirlwind, Fayt's Dimension Door. Keep a
Healer in the party. Preferrably Nel or Sophia.

The Chimera's Tail will deliver a small amount
of damage if it comes in contact with any of
  the characters, so watch out.

  = = =

Now start through the Mosel Dunes and into the Ancient
Ruins of Mosel.

  JC05         ~ Ancient Ruins of Mosel ~

There is no need to inspect the statues further. Enter
through the Ancient Ruins of Mosel to the central area
where King Airyglyph was previously.

Fortunately, there is a Map Vendor in the Passage from
Parch to Plenty. You can buy a Map of the Mosel Dunes
and the Ancient Ruins of Mosel for 10,000 Fol.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Stone Golem

  HP: 300,000          MP: 20,000

  Res: Earth   Fire    Weak: N/A
       Water   Wind

Okay the Stone Golem has a considerable amount of
Defense. Elemental Attacks are not worth the time
  and effort.

I find a Mirror Slice and Fists of Fury Combo with
Cliff and Nel to be extremely effective against
  the Stone Golem.

The Stone Golem's strength is immense. Fortunately
the Stone Golem does not have much Agility. It is
  extremely slow.

You'll want a Healer, but you will rarely have to
do much Healing for the duration of the Battle.

  = = =

Start down the staircase to the Subterranean Waterway.
Head down the northern walkway. Continue forward, and
then take the first eastern path you come across.

Follow the eastern walkway until it comes to and end.
Head east, then north to a Hauler Beast.

These ones, unlike the one in the Caverns, can now be
controlled.

Ride the Hauler Beast past the walkway, then exit to
the north. Continue north-west to the back of the
central walkway. Ascend the staircase to the ledge
above.

Start down the eastern walkway, then head south to a
fork. Take the south-western walkway to a Treasure
Chest which contains Cooking Ingredients. The south-
eastern walkway is a dead-end.

There is another walkway to the west which holds some
more Treasure Chests, including one with 160,000 Fol!

Return to the Hauler and head south-east. You'll come
to another area of the Waterways. Head west, and then
south-east.

West is a dead-end, or so it may seem, as the Mini-Map
shows an invisible wall. There's another ramp just a
bit further south. Things are becoming extremely dark,
so unless you still have the Lighstone, this walkway
eventually comes to an end.

Defear the enemy which lurks at the end and the water
in the Waterways should drain.

There are several Treasure Chests which can be found
in the area below. Head south, then east, then north.
This should bring you back to that room where 160K
Fol was obtained from a Treasure Chest.

Head west, past the ramp, then south to the next area.
Head west again, then south. This eventually brings
you to a Treasure Chest which contains a Star Talisman.
Return to the previous area.

Head north, then west, then north again. Wrap around
the eastern trail, then head south, back to the area
where you first encountered the Hauler. In this area,
head south, then west to a Treasure Chest containing
Perfect Berries.

Return east. then south to the bottom. Head west and
use the Ring of Disintegration on the pillars. Watch
for a Rainbow Core to come nearby, then escort it to
the strange crystal on the surface, but do not start
attacking the Rainbow Core.

If you attack the Rainbow Core, then immediately run,
as you need the Rainbow Core to get through.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Aurora Monster

Well the Aurora Monster is colorful in both the
  appearance and attacks.

Mirror Slice works well on the Aurora Monster if
able to score an actual hit. The Aurora Monster
is not much different from the other look-alike
enemies, and rarely uses a Special Attack.

Though when it does make an attack, it attacks
with immense strength. In short, watch out!
Make sure there is a Healer on the field at
all times during the Mini-Boss Battle.

Though a Healer can make up for one's loss of
HP, a Mental Enhancer or Blackberries should
  be used to restore MP.

  = = =

Continue through the southern door to the Deepest Reaches.
Head through to the next room, then through the northern
door. Enter the southern room to find a Treasure Chest
which contains Smithery Materials.

Enter the north-eastern corridor then proceed through the
room to a Treasure Chest in the next area which contains
Synthesis Materials. Enter into the next room, then head
south. Use the Save Sphere before entering the next room.

You'll then encounter some Insolent Kids. Kids that you
have to beat up!?

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
The Spirit Family, AKA the Spirit Brothers,
  AKA The Spirit Squad

  ROBINWIND
  HP: 120,000          MP: 30,000

  Res: Wind            Weak:

  NOVA BLAZE
  HP: 135,000          MP: 40,000

  Res: Fire            Weak: N/A

  AQUAREGIA
  HP: 115,400          MP: 50,000

  Res: Water           Weak: N/A

Okay, after three miserable attempts to sound cool,
the Boss Battle finally gets underway. It makes me
wonder what horrible backstory Robinwind has.

The only thing I like about this Boss Battle is the
  music.

Their resistances are stated in their names. Start
by defeating Aquaregia before the others, as she
has the ability to cast Freeze.

Have a Healer on the field at all times during the
battle, preferrably Sophia or Nel. Robinwind can
become extremely annoying to the point where you
just want to jump into Star Ocean 3 and beat him
  up yourself.

He's a little kid that won't stop following your
character around. It's what they do, isn't it?
This can become really annoying when they are
  after the Healer.

It's also hard to score a good hit on Robinwind,
as he just avoids any physical attack you throw
  towards him.

Don't attack Robinwind until the very end, as it
will make the battle much harder than it should
be. It also becomes very rewarding to see three
characters pummeling the crap out of Robinwind.

  = = =

Exit through the northern room, then speak to Count Mattalun.
Start by listening to a detailed explanation.

  - - - - - -
  Runic Chess
  - - - - - -

You'll need to listen to a detailed explanation to
completely understand the concepts of this game. A
beginning would need to practice several times.

The game is played automatically. Set the pieces of
Runic Chess directly across from your opponent. The
purpose of this is so that you do not shut down the
  Playstation 2.

Runic Pieces can only travel forward and will only
attack what is in front of them, not to the side.
So whatever is on the opposite side, place another
piece to defeat the opposing one.

  - - -

The entrance to the Aquatic Garden of Surferio has now been
opened. There is a ton of Treasure Chests inside which may
be opened for various items which is a well-deserved reward.
Backtrack all the way to the entrance of the Waterway. It's
the same area where you encountered the Stone Golem.

This time enter down the other staircase. Watch the scene.
After which, Fayt and the others will be in the Firewall.

  - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
  DIMENSION OF THE ETERNAL SPHERE
  - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

  KC01         ~ Firewall ~

A Firewall is a vast network in which information is safely
transferred from one place to another. They are built into
almsost every Router.

Think of the Firewall as a giant Router. You'll enter into
the Firewall with three possible choices of direction.

  - - - - - - - - - -
  Firewall - 1st Area
  - - - - - - - - - -

Start down the eastern corridor. Start up the walkway,
then enter through the western passage.

The southern walkway will take Fayt to a dead-end. In
this case, there is nothing of value in that area, so
  start through the northern-western walkway.

The next area transfers back to the entrance. Proceed
through north-western walkway to the next area.

There's two different directions of travel. The south-
eastern walkway is a dead-end, but in this case, this
region has a transporter which links directly to the
  next area.

  - - - - - - - - - -
  Firewall - 2nd Area
  - - - - - - - - - -

Exit the Transporter Room through the western walkway.
Start through the western walkway. Enter through the
corridor, then start down the northern walkway.

Though there were two walkways in that area, the west
walkway leads to a transporter which returns Fayt to
  the 1st Area.

  - - - - - - - - - -
  Firewall - 3rd Area
  - - - - - - - - - -

There are several walkways within this corridor, and
I do mean plenty of directions to travel. You cannot
enter through the darker blue passages. They're only
  accessible through the other side.

Though there are tons of different walkways, we need
to enter through the north-eastern passage. Now head
north, then west to the next area.

The southern passage is a one-way walkway. This can be
used to return to the previous area. Start north, then
  west to the next area.

There is a switch within this room which controls the
direction of travel. Returning to the previous area,
head south, then east. Head to the south-east section,
  then enter the next area.

In the south-east corridor is another switch. Return
to the previous area, then enter the north-western
  corridor.

Head to the north-western section of the room, then
continue to the next area. Continue north, and then
  east.

Travel across the corridor to the southern corridor.
Start east, then north, then enter into the eastern
corridor. Access the switch, and then return to the
  previous area.

Enter into the western corridor. The walkway should
be direct, as there should only be one way to tavel
within this area. Once this area has been accessed,
Fayt will not be able to head back.

The walkway within this area should also be direct,
there is a Save Sphere near the area where Fayt is
supposed to enter the next area. We will come back
  to this area eventually.

Anyways, follow the walkways until it scrolls off
to the side. Down this area are two corridors and
  only one is accessible.

Within the next room, the south-eastern corridor
returns to where we just came from, so do not go
through there. Instead, head north to another of
the very long corridors within the Firewall. Now
why would Square-Enix put several corridors like
this is Star Ocean 3 which aren't needed?

There's a switch at the end of the corridor. Now
we can activate the switch and return to the one
  area with the Save Sphere.

  Phew!

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Battlecopter

  HP: 200,000          MP: 30,000

  Res: Fire            Weak: Water

Were battling the Frequently Asked Questions
  Machine.

That probably won't make sense unless you've
  read the Battlecopter's Programming Info.

You'll probably want to play the Healer, the
Healer will not be able to keep up with how
much damage is being delivered to your party.

You'll want to use Cliff's Fists of Fury, or
Fayt's Dimension Door. Use Sophia to Heal or
Nel to Heal and use Mirror Slice. This is an
  absolute neccessity.

The Battlecopter is airbourne, so unless you
can keep the Battlecopter on the ground, the
  battle might become pretty tough.

Start by attacking the Battlecopter with all
the strength your party has to offer. Do not
  let the Battlecopter become airbourne.

Watch out for Back Throw. Though it is not
used too often, the Battlecopter will drop
a ton of Bombs to the surface below.

You can use Adray for powerful Runology, or
Albel's strong sword tactics. Keep Roger or
Peppita out of this Boss Battle.

  = = =

Access the switch if you need to head back, otherwise,
use the Save Sphere and enter through the Teleporter.

  KC02         ~ Spiral Tower ~

Watch the scene, then start forward. The path is very
straigh-forward. There are several crystal objectts
which can be removed using the Ring of Disintegration.

You'll eventually come across a two-way direction of
travel.

Start by heading south to a Treasure Chest containing
a Trading Card 3.

Return to the previous area, then remove the crystals
which presently block the path. Head to the next area,
then north-west.

Start north-east, then north-west. Use the transporter
to reach the second level of the Spiral Tower. Use the
Save Sphere, then continue north. Yo'll then encounter
Blair.

  = = =

  BOSS BATTLE
  Pseudo Blair

  HP: 100,000          MP: 13,992

  Res: Earth   Wind    Weak: N/A
       Water   Fire

Yeah that's right, Blair betrayed the party.
No, I'm just kidding. You're not actually
battling Blair. It is merely a look-alike.

This should only take a couple of seconds
  to defeat Blair.

Use your strongest characters to take out
Blair quickly and easily. She's actually
quite the Magic Caster. She'll throw all
your characters around quite a bit. This
may be similar to Nel's Whirlwind.

You probably will not even need to Heal.
  It's that simple.

None the less, Blair's MP Attacks can be
truly devestating. You'll want plenty of
  Blackberries and Mental Enhancers. You'll
  receive 50,000 EXP.

  = = =

Head north to encounter Blair. This would be the
Real Blair. Head west to the next area. Continue
through the next area, to a Mini-Boss Battle. An
examination of the strange object is required.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Ruktogias

This.. Thing?.. It has immense strength.

Anyways, have a Healer on call. You will
  need one.

Chain Smash is probably the only attack
which you should watch out for. It's an
absolute frustration to avoid. It's the
one of several attacks which can take a
number of your character's Hit Points.

The only other attack which comes close
  is Killer Sphere.

These are the two Special Attacks which
should best be avoided if possible.

  = = =

Return to the area where Blair is being imprisoned and
start down the southern walkway to where everybody had
battled Pseudo Blair.

Start down the western walkway. There's another of the
strange objects within this area. You'll encounter the
next Mini-Boss.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Chimera Hawk

I'd hate to see the creature which laid these.
Though they may seem harmless, they will cast
Confusion. They are also strong while they're
  in a group.

They will also do MP Damage, which can become
  very tedious.

  = = =

Good Riddance! Back in the area where you previously
fought Pseudo Blair, start down the eastern walkway.
Follow the walkway to an end to come across another
strange object.

  = = =

  MINI-BOSS BATTLE
  Death Monster

Aww, what a cute little doggy! The Death
Monsters are extremely strong and quick.

You'll probably want a Healer and a very
  strong and versitile character. Attacks
such as Deep Freeze or Explosion may be
  worth a try.

Keep the Healer as far away from these
  two Death Monsters as possible.

  = = =

Return to Blair and the Force Field should then be
released. Return to the area where Pseudo Blair
was previously fought. Blair should then remove
the seal which prevents access to the transpoter.

Use the Save Sphere, then continue north. Notice
the two crystals which are changing colors. Keep
track of the colors in which these crystals have
been changing.

Red Stand: Black, White, Yellow, Blue, Red
Blue Stand: Red, Blue, Yellow, White, Black

Enter north, then west. You'll need to change
the colors of the two crystals so they change
to connect with that of the central crystal.

You're given a certain amount of attempts. You
must change the colors of the two crystals to
have them connect with the central crystal.

In this case, turn both the pedestals once to
unlock the sealed door.

However, if the puzzle is unsuccessful, either
a few enemies will attack, or the puzzle would
be completed.

Return to the previous area and head easth. Now
enter the western door to the next few crystals.

Turn both the pedestals three time to unlock a
sealed door. Return to the previous area, then
head north.

Continue north until the walkway comes to an
end, then enter the western building. Enter
through the western door. Start south, then
enter the first western door.

Examine the door, then backtrack and remove
the crystals within the same corridor. Head
through the northern door to another set of
crystals.

Change the red pedestal twice, then the blue
pedestal four times to unlock a sealed door.
Enter through the yellow door, then continue
up the several transporters.

Use the Save Sphere, then enter through the
building. Carefully remove the crystals. If
any of them fall you'll have to start over.
Enter through the north-eastern door, then
continue north.

The elevator is presently inactive, so enter
the north-western building. Head through the
western room to what seems like a dead-end.

Use the Ring of Disintegration on the cracked
wall, then continue into the next room. Step
on the switch to activate the transporter.

Return to the trasnporter and open the Treasure
Chests for Synthesis Materials and Blackberries.
Enter through the north-eastern building. Start
through the north door, then follow the walkway
to a cracked wall. Break the cracked wall, then
enter the next area. Step on the switch.

Return to the previous area, then head down the
southern corridor. Enter the eastern room, then
open the Treasure Chest to obtain some Magical
Berries. Return to the previous corridor, then
head south. Enter through the western room.

There's another treasure chest within this room.
Open it to obtain Compounding Elixirs. Return
to the transporter.

There's one more builing we must go through to
the final switch before the transpoter becomes
active. Enter the south-eastern building.

In this building, start through the southern
room to the next area.

Break the cracked wall, step on the switch, and
then return to the transporter. Continue up a
series of transporters to reach the top.

Head up the northern staircase to the Save Point.
After this is the battle with Luther.

  = = =

  FINAL BOSS BATTLE
  L u t h e r

  STAGE ONE
  HP: 200,000          MP: 60,000

  Res: Earth   Fire    Weak: N/A
       Water   Wind

This Boss Music almost makes it sound like we are
fighting in a Toy Factory, or a Jazz Warehouse.

That spear of Luther's is extremely powerful and
deals Long-Range. Since this is the Final Boss,
usse one Healer, and the two stronest Fighters
  within your party.

Nel would be much better than Sophia, as by now,
Nel should be able to use devestating attacks
  such as Mirror Slice.

However, Nel would be the Healer, while supposing
Fayt and Cliff were the two attackers. Remember,
Nel must use Heal when the others become low on
  Hit Points.

Cliff should be constantly using Fists of Fury
and Acrobat Locus, while the other must be the
type which uses strong attacks regardless of a
  Special Attack.

  = = =

  = = =

  FINAL BOSS BATTLE
  L u t h e r

  FINAL STAGE
  HP: 400,000          MP: 120,000

  Res: Earth   Fire    Weak: N/A
       Water   Wind

Luther's Hit Points have doubled. Your party has
not recoved from the previous battle either. The
problem here is Luther's devestating attacks.

Luther also has an attack this time which covers
the entire surface within a red cloud. This will
not be used until Luther has lost half of his HP.
When this happens, you may want to consider your
Healer using Heal before the attack has played.

Follow the same strategies as before. You still
use the same characters as before. Effects such
  as Petrification will still remain.

This is about all I am able to do to help at the
present time. Aside from this, the rest is up to
you to defeat Luther and save the Universe.

  CR01         Credits

I'd like to thank the Academy. Whoops, I mean GameFAQs
and IGN. This Game Guide has several weeks of progress
and development, that I am so relieved to finally have
this Game Guide on various sources of the Internet.

A special thanks goes to all the viewers of this Game
Guide for Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time.

Square-Enix and Tri-Ace have made a truly enjoyable,
and somewhat stressful Role-Playing Game. Without
Star Ocean 3, this Game Guide would not have been
  possible.

Though the Game Guide for Star Ocean 3 is constantly
updated, the Final Version draws near. Eventually,
this Game Guide will be all but a memory, where it
will remain on GameFAQs for your viewing pleasure.

This won't stop my from creating more Game Guides.
I have been inspired to create Game Guides which
are best for those who need assistance in a game.

I look forwards to assisting those people in the
  not too distant future.

  Thanks,
  Aaron Busch
