E-Mail:-REMOVED-
Effective 6/9/03, I have removed my E-Mail, as I cannot help someone with a
game I don't have, and most of the things I do not remember. I have sold my
PS2, and all its games to GameStop. With that, I have purchased an Xbox, Brute
Force, Splinter Cell, Halo, and Pre-Ordered Soldier of Fortune II: Double
Helix. The fact is, that the Xbox has more of the games I LIKE, such as Halo,
Brute Force, Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix, and other great Shooter, and
FPS games......Please look forward to future FAQs from me; as of right now, I
am working on a Brute Force Weapons Guide, and when it is released, a Soldier
of Fortune II: Double Helix Weapons Guide.

This is my SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Weapons Guide. The Weapons & Equipment
Guide will tell you how the Weapons are rated, with in-depth descriptions
for each and every weapon, and how to utilize them to their maximum
potential. I decided not to put a Description for each of the Weapons,
because there are over 30 Weapons, and with my guidelines of no less than
six lines of information per line, it would take quite a while to get a
Description for each of the Weapons so be happy that someone actually got
off their butt to make a Weapons Guide....and yeah...its half-assed, so
you don't have to E-Mail me about it.....I _DO_ actually have a life,
unlike some other people on GameFAQs.....

_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
In the Armory, when you select a Weapon, you see five different categories:
Volume, Accuracy, Range, Fire Rate, and Fire Modes.
There Are 6 Slots In The Bars:
_______________________
|___|___|___|___|___|___|
| | | | | |
1 2 3 4 5 6
Fire Rate: The Fire Rate of a Weapon is how fast it fires. Weapons with a
Fire Rate of 2 Fire as fast as you can press the FIRE button. Weapons with
a Fire Rate of 3 fire at a Moderate rate; Examples are the M9. Some Weapons
Fire Rates can be changed. The different Fire Rates are: Single, which fires
one shot when the FIRE button is pressed. Burst, which Fires 3 rounds every
time the FIRE button is pressed. And Auto, which keeps firing rounds until
you let go of the FIRE button, or the clip runs out.
1 Slot- Extremely Slow
2 Slots- Very Slow
3 Slots- Moderate
4 Slots- Fast
5 Slots- Very Fast
6 Slots- Extremely Fast
Accuracy: The Accuracy of a Weapon is how much of a chance you have of
hitting an enemy That is in your sights. Weapons with high Accuracy are
great for hitting enemies that are at Long ranges. Weapons with good
Accuracy tend to be Assault Rifle, and Sniper Rifles. Also, make sure
that you remember that Recoil also factors in when trying to figure out
which Weapons to bring along on a mission. If you need every shot to hit,
go with Weapons such as the SR-25, or the M87ELR. If you need a Weapon
with good Accuracy, but don't want a Sniper Rifle, go with the M4A1.
1 Slot- Extremely Inaccurate
2 Slots- Very Inaccurate
3 Slots- Moderate
4 Slots- Accurate
5 Slots- Very Accurate
6 Slots- Extremely Accurate
Volume: Volume is how loud the Weapon is when fired. On missions such as
Prison Break, Weapons such as the M87ELR or the M60E3 are Extremely Loud,
and they will give away your position to the enemy very easily. The lower
the number of Slots filled up, the better the chances are that you will
remain undetected. If you absolutely need to remain undetected, go with
Primary Weapons such as the M4A1 SD or the HK5SD, and go with Secondary
Weapons such as the 9MM Pistol or the Mark 23SD, as they are Silenced and
will not give your position away.
Range: Range is how far out you can hit an enemy with your Weapon. Weapons
such as the HK5, HK5SD, and the F90 are best suited for killing enemies at
Short range. Weapons such as the M60E3, and the M63A are best suited for
killing enemies at Medium range. Weapons such as the M4A1, M4A1 SD, and
the AKS-74 are best suited for killing enemies at Long range. Weapons such
as the SR-25, and the SR-25 SD are best suited for killing enemies at Very
Long range. Weapons such as the M87ELR, and the M82A1A are best suited for
killing enemies at Extremely Long range.
1 Slot- Very Short
2 Slots- Short
3 Slots- Medium
4 Slots- Long
5 Slots- Very Long
6 Slots- Extremely Long

Section Three: Recommended Weapons For Online Play o
_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
These Weapons are in my opinion, the best choices for Online Play.
The SEALs have the advantage when it comes to Primary Weapons, but the
Terrorists have the advantage when it comes to Secondary Weapons. All in
all, both, the SEALs and the Terrorists are balanced, and equal in their
own way. For Primary Weapons, I will choose three Assault Rifles, and
one Sniper Rifle. For Secondary Weapons, I will choose two Handguns.
o Recommended SEALs Weapons & Equipment:
M4A1-
The M4A1 is the closest thing to the AKS-74 in the
SEALs arsenal. The M4A1 is in many ways, better than
the M16A2, but it lacks the boost in accuracy that the
M16A2 has. Also, if you want to sneak up on other players,
use the M4A1 SD, as it is very quite.
M14-
The M14 has about the same stats as the M4A1, except
the round the M14 fires is a lot more powerful than the
round the M4A1 fires. Also, the M14 is rather inaccurate
while on Full Auto, so make sure you are no more than at
Medium range when you have it on Full Auto.
M63A-
The M63A is the rough SEAL equivalent of the Terrorists
M60E3. The M63A is less accurate than the M60E3, and the
M63A has a less powerful round than that of the round
fired by the M60E3. Even though the M60E3 is better, the
M63A will cut a player in half when up close.
M87ELR-
The SEALs equivalent of the M82A1A. The M87ELR is just as
powerful, just as loud, and just as good as the M82A1A.
The only drawback to the M87ELR, is that is has a tad less
accuracy than the M82A1A. If you are going to be a Sniper,
forget the SR-25 or the SR-25 SD, go with the M87ELR.
Mark 23-
The SEALs overall best Handgun. It fires 45 Cal. rounds
fast, and accurate while maintaining a high damage rate.
I choose the Unsilenced version of the Mark 23 because
as we all know, Silenced Weapons inflict less damage,
they are less accurate, and they have less range.
226-
If you don't like the Mark 23 because of its rather slow
fire rate, you are sure to like the 226. The 226 only
fires a 9mm round, but you can pump the 9mm rounds out
faster than the Mark 23 can pump out the 45 Cal. rounds.
The 226 is good, but I prefer the Mark 23.
Recommended Equipment-
2x Ammo
HE Grenades
Claymore Mines
o Recommended Terrorist Weapons & Equipment:
AKS-74-
The AKS-74, is the best Assault Rifle in SOCOM. This
was stated by one of the developers who helped to
balance the weapons. The AKS-74's ammo may be less
common, but it has great accuracy. The AKS-74 also
excels in damage, and fire rate.
552-
The 552 has virtually identical stats to those of the
AKS-74, but the 552 is weaker than the AKS-74, so that
is why the 552 is not at the top spot. The 552 also has
a low power scope, so it will definitely come in handy
if you like to Snipe, but don't like Sniper Rifles.
M60E3-
The M60E3 is the best Heavy Machine Gun in the game when
it comes to stats. The M60E3 is better in almost every
category except accuracy. The M60E3's ammo is also less
common than that the ammo of the M63A, but the M60E3 does
use a more powerful round.
M82A1A-
The M82A1, when it comes to stats, is the best Sniper Rifle
in the game. It has the highest possible damage, the highest
possible accuracy, and the highest possible Volume....Just
lay down...your already dead. Forget the M401A1, and get the
M82A1A, because this thing will kill you quickly.
Model 18-
The Terrorists best Handgun in my opinion. The best thing
about this gun is the psychological effect. I don't care
how damn good you are, the first reaction someone has when
they hear this thing on Full Auto is to seek cover. The
ONLY time you should use Full Auto, is when you are trying
just that above. Other than that, use Single Shot.
Desert Eagle .50-
Some people prefer to use the Desert Eagle .50 but I, on
the other hand, like the Model 18 better, because it has
a higher fire rate and when on Single Shot, it is WAY
more accurate than the Desert Eagle. I should know...I have
gotten killed way more times with the Model 18 than the
Desert Eagle.
Recommended Equipment-
2x Ammo
HE Grenades
Claymore Mines
