-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am not sure if I have become bored with the project, if I feel like it is not
within my ability, or if I simply no longer wish to finish it, but I do not
feel like now is a good time for me to continue working on this guide. Under no
circumstances would I knowingly do something that would jeapordize the quality
of my writing, and I feel that continuing to push this guide right now would so
so. Hopefully, seeing this guide in my contributor page will motivate me to
complete it, but at the present time, at best I may update a few days in-game
from time to time. In the meantime, MasterVG782's guide is coming along
strongly. I am certain that it will be completed in no time - I applaud
MasterVG782's diligence. Thank you for you time and support.

                               Spoiler Warning
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

I will not explicitly include spoilers in this guide to ruin the game for you,
but I am sure that I will not be able to completely avoid them. Regardless,
seeing how "Persona 3 FES" is a Role-Playing game, there will be many possible
spoilers that give away story elements, and in most RPG's, the story is the
most important aspect of the game. Additionally, since I am just starting this
guide, I am not sure what direction it will take. As such, feel the need to
include a spoiler warning here, just in case something comes up in the future.

                          1.0.0 - Introduction
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

This guide has been in my mind for a while, and it is just reaching it's
inception. I am a relatively new FAQ-writer, to say the least. The only two
complete guides I have of this writing are for "Earthbound," and RPG for the
Super Nintendo, and for "The Simpsons Game," a cross-platform adventure game.
When Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas came out, I noticed a peculiar thing. Guides
were posted on GameFAQs within days after the release of the game itself. The
authors were writing the guides literally as they were playing through the game
for the first time. That is what I did for "The Simpsons Game" (When I started
writing for "Earthbound," I had already played through the entire game several
times). I have been looking for a new FAQ project for a long time now, and I
thing that "Persona 3 FES" will satisfy that desire. I am going to write for
this game in the same fashion that I wrote for "The Simpsons Game." I am going
to write this guide as I play (and, more than likely, replay) the game.

The main reason that I choose to write this guide in such a manner is that I
easily lose track of things and become discouraged. It took me more than three
years to actually sit down and complete the "Earthbound" guide. I do not want
that to happen with this guide. FAQ writers receive a certain satisfaction in
seeing their work posted on the internet and in knowing that they are helping
their fellow gamers. For me to fully complete a guide and then submit it to
GameFAQs would be nearly impossible, however, for me to see my creation reach
its completed state piece by piece will motivate me to see this project to the
end. This is the main reason that I choose to write this guide as I play the
game.

I will cover "The Journey" at first and hopefully I will cover "The Answer"
after that. For now, I am going to focus on "The Journey," and after I have
finished covering the main story of the game, I will find a way to incorporate
"The Answer" into this guide.

tl;dr summary - things to keep in mind as I write this guide

-This is my first game in the entire Shin Megami Tensei series
-I did not play the original Persona 3 before this remake, so I will not note
important differences, because I will not know them
-I'm writing the guide as I play through the game so that I will continue to be
motivated to actually complete it.

                                2.0.0 - Story
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

In "Persona 3 FES," you play as a young boy known as the "Main Character." You
have the choice of naming him as the game begins (according to the forums, his
"official" name is Minato Arisoto). Minato transfers to Gekkoukan High School
on Port Island. One night while walking the streets, Minato sees the rest of
the people in the city turn into coffins. He makes his way into his dormitory.
Later on, he learns what happens. There exists between every day a period of
time known as the Dark Hour that happens every evening at midnight. Normal
people become "transmorgrified"-they turn into coffins and no longer realize
that they are a part of the world. The people that do not transmorgrify are
gifted. Among themselves, they are known to have "potential." These people are
able to fight the monsters, known as Shadows, that flourish during the Dark
Hour.

Within the individuals who possess this potential there lives a second soul,
known as a "Persona." The person can summon and use the Persona to fight the
Shadows. Minato has the ability to control any Persona and can change the one
that he uses instantly. Minato, along with his allies, must utilize the power
of the Persona to overcome the Shadows and to bring back peace.

                             5.0.0 - Game Basics
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

It is necessary to understand that Persona 3 FES is not at all like the average
Role-Playing Game. It is half dating-sim and half dungeon-crawler. It is this
mixture of two different gaming worlds that makes this title so unique.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                 School Life
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Upon waking up in the morning, your character will automatically go to school
(unless, of course, it is a Sunday or a holiday). A day at school flows through
five periods of time:

-Early Morning: Upon initially approaching school, you can converse with your
fellow students or overhear the latest gossip. After the bell
rings, it is time to go to class. --->

-Morning: Classes are in the morning. During class, you will sometimes
have the opportunity to close your eyes and take a nap,
allowing your character to rest, or you can keep your eyes open
and stay awake through a lecture to increase your Academics
skill. Sometimes the teacher will call upon you to answer a
question in front of the class. Answer correctly, and you can
               increase your charm skill. --->

-Lunch Hour: During lunch, you can talk to fellow students and learn about
various events such as after-school activities are holiday
               festivities. --->

-Afternoon: Nothing of interest happens during the afternoon. --->

After School: Upon leaving school, the world is yours for the rest of the
day. There are dozens of possible after-school activities,
including but not limited to studying in the library, going to
swim team practice, grabbing a bite to eat with a friend and
               going to the local mall.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                              Outside of School
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After spending your time with various activities after school, evening will
come. At a certain point, you will be able to go out during evenings and at
night, but you will also have several options back at your dormitory. For one,
you can go into your room and study, increasing Academics, or you can choose to
go to sleep early and get some extra rest. Finally, you can choose to travel to
Tartarus during the Dark Hour.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                          Tartarus / The Dark Hour
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Find Mitsuru in the lobby at the dormitory and speak to her. She will offer you
the choice to go to Tartarus during the Dark Hour that begins at midnight. It
is highly recommended that you only go into Tartarus when you have a full party
and when everyone is in good shape. There are four possible physical conditions
for each person in your party.

-Great: The character is in top physical condition. His or her evasion and
critical hit rates will increase significantly.

-Good: The character is in good physical condition. He or she is fit to
explore Tartarus and battle enemies. However, be careful not to let the
       character become too tired.

-Tired: The character is tired and his or her offensive and defensive skills
have decreased. In addition, the character may have a difficult time
getting up after being knocked down.

-Sick: The character is sick and his or her healing abilities, evasion and
critical hit rates, and offensive and defensive skills have all
decreased. As a result, the character is vulnerable to various status
       ailments.

Alternatively, one of the characters in your party may not be available on some
nights because he or she has something else of greater importance to do.

At the entrance to Tartarus, there is a clock that you can use to save your
game. To the left of the clock is a blue door that leads to the Velvet Room
(further explained in section 7.0.0 - The Velvet Room). You can speak with
Mitsuru to view your characters' equipment and status (to change equipment, you
will have to speak with the character(s) face-to-face). Also, when you speak
directly with the other characters, you have the option of removing or adding
him or her to your party.

When you are ready, approach the entrance to Tartarus and Mitsuru will allow
you to continue. When you begin, you will need to find stairs to reach higher
levels in the tower. There are various icons on the mini-map in the lower-left
corner of the screen that help you navigate (Note that every time you go into
Tartarus, the floor plan on every level changes - the only time the floors are
the same are on Boss/Guardian floors and some others). These icons are:

Blue Arrow - Shows the current location of the Main Character and the direction
            that he is facing.

Blue Dot - Shows the current location of a party member.

Red Dot - Shows the location of a Shadow.

Red "*" - Shows a battle-in-progress. You can step in to lend a hand.

White Dot - Shows the location of a treasure chest.

Stairs - Shows the location of the stairs needed to reach the next level.

Square - Shows the location of an "Access Point." They are used to return to
           the entrance.

The battles in Tartarus are not entirely random, you can see the Shadows
crawling along the floor and it is possible to avoid encounters. However, a
neat feature of the game is Player/Enemy Advantages. While dungeon-crawling, if
you press X and attack an enemy with your weapon before it can touch you, you
will not deal damage to it, but you will get a "Player Advantage." When the
battle begins, your party gets a free round of attacks. Unfortunately, the
opposite is also true, if an enemy attacks you before you attack it, it will be
given the "Enemy Advantage," where all enemies will get a free round of
attacks. Always be sure to strike first.

While exploring Tartarus, when not in battle, you can talk to your party
members to see how they are doing. You can also check their equipment and make
any changes that you see fit. Additionally, if you speak with a party member
with healing capabilities, the option "Request Healing" will be avaible.
Everyone will be healed, but at the expense of Spirit Points of the individual
that you asked.

Pressing Square while in the labrynth will allow you to give commands to your
party members. "Split Up/Regroup" allows all of the party members to go their
separate ways. If they find any treasure chests, they will announce what they
found and when they return to you later they will give up the loot.
Unfortunately, when a party member finds yen, they announce it to you but they
will keep the money for themselves. "Priority: Explore" will make your party
members focus on exploring the entire floor, while "Priotity: Defeat" will make
them aggresively attack any enemies that they find.

                                /------------\
                                |-The Reaper-|
                                \------------/

It is important to note that if you spend too much time on one floor, you can
cause The Reaper to spawn. He is extremely powerful and can kill you in a
single blow. Although not impossible to defeat, it is recommended that you run
to the next floor if you ever see him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                Command Menu
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While in the field, press Triangle to bring up the Command Menu (Skill,
Persona, and Equip are only for the Main Character. To access options for the
other characters, you have to speak to them directly).

The skill menu displays all of the skills available to the Main Character
through his Personas. Scroll through the skills with the directional buttons
and the left analog stick and press X to choose a skill, then scroll the same
way through the list of party members to choose a character.

Displays all of the items you currently have on you. Scroll up and down to
choose a consumable item and then scroll to select a character. Scrolling left
and right allows you to view equipment and valuable items.

Persona allows you to view the status of the Main Character's Persona as well
as assign a new Persona. Again, scroll up and down to highlight the different
Personas, and press X to select.

Equip allows you to change the weapon, body armor, foot armor, and accessory of
the Main Character. Scroll up and down and choose a type with X, then scroll
through the next list to choose a new item. When you see the stats of the
available equipment, an arrow going up means that the new item has a better
stat than the currently equipped item, while the down arrow indicates a lower
stat.

Status displays the status of the Main Character and of his currently equipped
Persona. Again, to view the status of a party member, you have to speak with
him or her directly.

S. Link displays your various social links, their ranks, and the profiles of
the people with which they correspond. Again, scroll with the directional
buttons and make your selection with X. On the profile screen, scroll up and
down to change members, and scroll left and right with L1 and R1 to change
Social Links.

System allows you to access a new mini-menu. Calendar displays the Main
Character's daily schedule. Move the cursor to a different date to see details
regarding that day. Scroll through the months with L1 and R1. Quest shows the
currently accepted Requests from Elizabeth. Fusion Spells shows the
combinations and effects of the fusion spells that you have activated.
Dictionary shows you various keys phrases from the game. Config allows you to
change the game settings, and Back to Title ends your game and returns you to
the title screen (Your game is not saved here, so any unsaved data will be
lost).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                  Personas
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Personas are the alternate souls that dwell within the chosen people who
possess the "potential."  These people use the Personas to fight the evil
Shadows that exist during the Dark Hour. Personas possess a huge variety of
abilities. The Main Character is the only person that can actually change which
Persona he uses. Selecting "Persona" from the Command Menu will allow you to
take a closer look at your Personas. The screen is as follows.

1 - Indicate a Persona's strengths and weaknesses to the nine elements. WK
indicates the Persona is weak to that particular element. ST means a
Persona is strong against that element. NUL means it nullifies attacks of
that element. DRN means it drains attacks of that element. RPT means it
repels attacks of that element. The elements from left to right (and
identified by the lowercase letters) are a) Slash/Sword, b) Strike/Fist,
   c) Pierce/Arrow, d) Fire, e) Ice, f) Electricity, g) Wind, h) Light, and
   i) Darkness.

2 - Shows the statistics and abilities of a particular Persona. The statistics
from top to bottom (and identified by the uppercase letters) are
   A) Strength - strength of the Persona's offensive attacks, B) Magic -
strength of the Persona's magic, C) Endurance - effectiveness of the
Persona's defensive abilities, D) Agility - Persona's hit and evasion
rates, and E) Luck - the possiblity of a Persona performing critical hits
   and evading attacks from enemies.

3 - The Persona's current level.

4 - The Persona's Arcane affinity.

5 - The amount of experience points needed to reach the next level.

6 - The Persona's skills.

7 - The next skill that will be obtained and the level at which it will be
   obtained.

There are two ways to obtain New Personas: Through "Shuffle Time" at the end of
an encounter, or through Persona Fusion in the Velvet Room. In "Shuffle Time,"
the new Persona will never be of a higher level than the Main Character,
however, in Persona Fusion, it is possible to create Persona of a much higher
level than yourself.

Personas become stronger through several means. Every battle in which the
party earns experience points, the currently equipped Persona also receives
these points and increases with level along with the character. At certain
level intervals, Personas learn new skills. Additionally, when creating a
Persona through Persona Fusion, the strength of the Social Link that
corresponds to the Arcane affinity of the newly-created Persona effects how
much extra experience that Persona will receive during creation.

Note: At the beginning of the game, the Main Character can possess up to six
Personas. If you have to many, you can dismiss excess Persona through the
Persona menu in the Command Menu, or you can fuse multiple cards into one in
the Velvet Room to free up space.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                   Status
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Going into the Command Menu and choosing Status will allow you to view the
status of the main character, and speaking to your other party members will
allow you to view their statuses. The Character status screen is as follows:

                     _____________________________________
                    |   _______________                   |
                    |  |               |                  |

1 - Shows the character's attributes and their levels. The three attributes
   are:

 - Charm -

Indicates the Main Character's level of charm. This attribute can be
improved by spending time in the various restaurants and entertainment
venues throughout Port Island. Correctly answering questions when asked
   during class also increases charm.

 - Courage -

Indicates the Main Character's level of courage. This attribute can be
improved by spending time in the various restaurants and entertainment
   venues throughout Port Island.

 - Academics -

Indicates the Main Character's level of intelligence. This attribute can be
improved by spending time studying at home and at school and by staying
awake during a lecture when you become tired.

2 - The character's current level.

3 - The character's hit points (current/maximum). When a character's HP reaches
0, he or she will be unable to function.

4 - The character's spirit points (current/maximum). SP is consumed by using
   Persona skills.

5 - The character's current condition (Great, Good, Tired, or Sick).

6 - The amount of experience needed to reach the next level.

During battle, you and your party as well as the enemy can be effected by
status ailments. The various status ailments are as follows:

Charm - Indicates a character has been charmed by an enemy. The character
will attack party members or heal your enemies. If the Main
Character is in this state, you will not be able to control him.

Distress - Indicates a character is so surprised that he or she cannot evade
attacks. His or her defenses will be weakened slightly, and the
chances of an enemy making a critical hit on the character will
          increase significantly.

Fear - Indicates a character is afraid. His or her chances of being stunned
will increase, and enemies will be able to evade the character's
attacks more often. The chances of the character taking a critical
          hit will increase significantly.

Freeze - Indicates a character is frozen and cannot move. He or she will be
unable to evade enemy attacks. This status ailment lasts one turn.

Panic - Indicates the character is in a state of panic. He or she will not
be able to concentrate well enough to summon his or her Persona. The
chances of the character receiving a critical hit will increase.

Poison - Indicates a character has been poisoned. He or she will lose a
certain amount of HP for every action taken, including walking
around. The effects of this ailment will not fade with time and must
          be countered manually.

Rage - Indicates a character is in an extremely aggressive state. He or she
will defy all commands and continue to use physical attacks. The
character's offensive strength will increase, but his or her
          defensive abilities will decrease significantly.

Shock - Indicates a character has been shocked by electricity. He or she
cannot evade enemy attacks. This status ailment lasts one turn.

                                  [Future Update]

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
                      6.0.0 - Walkthrough - The Journey
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Upon starting a new game, you are told what has been added to the remake:

-Several popular Personas
-A special Social Link
-Newly enriched interactions with other Persona users
-Newly enriched Social Links
-Hard mode
-"Weapon Fusion"
-New Requests available from the Velvet Room

Choose to continue the game. At this point, you have the option of carrying
over old saved data from the original Persona 3. I'm assuming that you, like
myself, are playing this game for the first time now. However, you are still
told what you can carry over into this new game:

-Registered Personas in the Compendium
-Known Fusion Spell combinations
-Academics, Charm, and Courage rankings
-Items gained from Social Links that have reached MAX

You are now told to choose a difficulty level:

0========0
|-Normal-| - This mode is for players who are familiar with the game
0========0

0======0
|-Easy-|- In this mode, battles are easier, and you will have ten chances to
0======0  continue your game following a Game Over

0======0
|-Hard-| - Only for those well-versed in the battle system
0======0

[I am writing this guide from the "Normal" difficulty setting]

After your selection, you are treated to the opening cutscene of the game.
Before you get started, you are asked to input a name for your character. As I
said before, the default name of the Main Character is Arisato, Minato if you
are anal-retentive like me and do not want to change names (Be sure you realize
that you are entering the last name and then the first name). Scroll around the
letters with the directional pad or with the left analog and choose a letter
with X. Circle deletes that last character, and L1 and R1 scroll further left
and right. Once you have entered both names, press start to confirm your
selection.

Note: It would be very difficult to write a conventional walkthrough for this
game. Certain events do not necessarily trigger once previous events are
cleared - the events in Persona 3 FES trigger with the passage of time,
hence the in-game calendar and time schedule. As such, I will do my best
to write this walkthrough in a manner that fits the day-to-day schedule
     of the game.

                                6.0.1 - April
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Tuesday, April 7th
------------------

Late Night - You are treated to another cutscene. Once you regain control,
press X to cycle through the conversations with the two girls,
answering however you wish. Yukari will take you to your dorm.

Early Morning - Yukari comes to your dorm and tells you that she is taking you
to school today. Once inside, you notice that there are a lot
of people checking out the bulletin board. Check it yourself to
find what class you are in (Class F). Turn around from the
bulletin board and go into the hallway on the opposite side of
the lobby. The faculty office is the first door on the left.
Enter it to meet one of your teachers. After speaking with her
and the Welcoming Ceremony, school is finished.

After School - After meeting another student, you befriend him and decide to
               go home with him.

Evening - Back at the dorm, you can save your game at the sign-in sheet
on the counter if you would like. It is time to go to bed. You
can either run to the stairs, go up to the second floor and run
down the hallway to get to your room, or you can access the
sign-in sheet and choose "Go back to your room."

Wednesday, April 8th
--------------------

Early Morning - You overhear a conversation between two gossiping girls.
Finally, the morning bell rings. It is time to head to class.

Afternoon - You find yourself in the class of the teacher that you met on
               your first day.

QUIZ TIME - Throughout the game, your teachers will ask you a
variety of questions in the classroom. Answer them
correctly and your Charm stat will increase. Mrs.
Toriumi wants to make sure that Junpei was paying
attention, so she asks if he knows who is her
                           favorite author:

                           -Zenzou Kasai
                           -Utsobo Kubota
                           -Fuyuhiko Yoshimura

"Utsobo Kubota" is the correct answer.

After School - You decide to head back to the dorms. On your way, take notice
of the activity at the strip mall during the evening.

Evening - Back at the dorm, you meet the Chairman of the Board for
Gekkoukan High School. Ask him some questions to learn a little
more about him, and tell him that you saw something the other
night for an amusing little scene.

Late Night - You go to sleep automatically. You see another scene between
the Chairman and the two girls.

The Dark Hour - You see another scene and more plot elements unfold. During
your sleep, you are transported to the Velvet Room. In the
middle of the room, the contract on which you signed your name
is lying on a table. You are given the Velvet Key which allows
you further access into the Velvet Room through the game.

Thursday, April 9th
-------------------

Note: Notice that the icon in the upper-right corner of the screen has turned
     into a Full Moon.

Early Morning - On your way to school, you stop and have a chat with Junpei
               before going on to class.

Morning - You meet a new teacher and find yourself in a new class. After
he teaches for a little bit, you become tired. You are given
the option to close your eyes for a few minutes. If you choose
"Stay awake," you will remain awake through the lecture and
your Academics skill will increase, however, you will still be
tired. If you doze off during the lecture, you will not receive
the skill increase, but your character will be more rested.
This will happen several times through the game.

After School - You decide to go home with Junpei. Take note of how busy the
station is after school as students make their way home.

The Dark Hour - You are treated to another scene between the Chairman, the two
girls, and Akihiko. After Akihiko arrives back at the dorm,
Yukari comes to wake you up. She gives you a short sword and
you follow her outside. Once you regain control of yourself,
do as Yukari says and continue to run up the stairs. After
being treated to an extremely cool cutscene, you receive a new
Persona - Orpheus. You also enter your first enemy encounter
against two Cowardly Maya. You can either use your short sword
to attack them yourself, or you can use Orhpeus's Bash skill to
finish them off in one hit each (Notice that the Bash skill
consumes 5 HP on use, although that shouldn't be a problem at
all). You and your new Persona will both level up. After
another subconscious trip to the Velvet Room, Igor gives an
explanation of Personas. He also tells you that the strength of
your Social Links dictates the strength of your Personas. Be
               sure to remember that.

Friday, April 17th
------------------

After School - You wake up a week later at Tatsumi Memorial Hospital. After a
touching scene with Yukari, your character goes back to sleep.

Saturday, April 18th
--------------------

Early Morning - After speaking with Yukari at the front gate, you learn that
Mitsuru wants to speak with you after school on the fourth
               floor of the dormitory.

Morning - You arrive in a new class with yet another new teacher. He
decides that he wants to ask a question at "random." Junpei is
the victim, and he turns again to you for help.

QUIZ TIME - "What was the style of houses in the Jomon period
                            called?"

                           -Mud huts
                           -Elevated houses
                           -Caves

"Mud huts" is the correct answer.

After School - You decide to go home early so that you can speak with Mitsuru.
Notice the busyness of the Pawlonia Mall.

Evening - Upon arriving at the dorms, there is no one in the lounge. Make
your way up the stairs and you will meet Yukari, who takes you
to the fourth floor. During the meeting, you learn about the
Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (SEES). You receive
               your own Evoker.

NEW SOCIAL LINK - "Social Links" are the bonds that you create
with different people around your town and
school. These Social links are the very meat
of this game. The strength of your social
bonds will dictate the powers of your
Personas. It is imperative that you find and
max out as many Social Links as you can so
that you can harness stronger Personas.
Social Links are made stronger by spending
time with the people with whom a particular
                                 Link is associated.

After the meeting, a new Social Link is
established with the SEES members - it is of
the "Fool" Arcana. Again, you recall what
Igor said about the power of Social Links.

The Dark Hour - As you sleep, a mysterious boy that you should recognize will
be sitting on your bed. He awakens you. After the strange
conversation, he disappears and you drift back to sleep.

Sunday, April 19th
------------------

Evening - Akihiko calls Yukari and you downstairs to welcome a new
tenant who just so happens to be Junpei from your class. It was
discovered that Junpei possesses the "potential," and he agrees
to join SEES. Akihiko says the time to travel into "Tartarus"
               has nearly arrived...

Monday, April 20th
------------------

Early Morning - You overhear a conversation between the two gossiping girls.
               The morning bell rings.

Lunchtime - Mitsuru tells you to come to the lounge when you arrive back at
the dorm. She has something important to tell you all. Once she
leaves, Yukari mentions Mitsuru's activity with the Student
               Council.

After School - You head back to the dormitory with Junpei.

Evening - At the meeting in the lounge with all of the SEES members, the
Chairman decides that he would like to commence the exploration
of Tartarus tonight during the Dark Hour.

Late Night - The group arrives at Gekkouan High School. At the stroke of
midnight, the Dark Hour arrives and the school turns into
Tartarus, the 263-floor labrynth that reveals itself only at
               midnight.

The Dark Hour - Once inside, Akihiko give you a basic rundown of Tartarus and
the Shadows. You notice a strange door to the left. You
approach it and enter the Velvet Key into the keyhole. This
strange blue door is your voluntary entrance into the Velvet
Room. After leaving, speaking with Yukari and Junpei reveals
that they cannot see the door out of which you just came. Odd.
When you regain control of your character, you should save your
game at the clock. Before moving on, take notice of the device
to the right of the blue carpet.

Note - Following is an abridged excerpt from the Basics section
outlining the icons on the mini-map in the lower-left corner of
the screen (Mitsuru does not explain these icons to you).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are various icons on the mini-map in the lower-left corner of the screen
that help you navigate.

Square - Shows the location of an "Access Point." They are used to return
            to the entrance.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Dark Hour - Explore the first floor of Tartarus, grabbing all of the
(continued)    treasure chests that you see. In battle and in the field,
Mitsuru and the in-game help will explain the basics of
fighting and exploring to you, including: Player/Enemy
advantage, exploiting weaknesses for additional turns, "Shuffle
Time," checking your status, requesting healing, All-Out
attacks, escaping battle, and ally orders. Clear the floor. Be
sure that every time you face an enemy you have not seen
before you go into the Tactics menu and choose Mitsuru -
Support (or press L1) to search for the weaknesses of each
enemy that you face. Once you have killed all of the Shadows,
tell everyone to split up to search for the access point. When
allies find treasure chests with items and money this way, they
will bring the items to you, but they will keep the money for
themselves. Once the access point has been found, use it to get
               back to the entrance.

You will come out of the strange device that you saw earlier to
the right of the blue carpet. After the short conversation,
your SEES Social Link will reach level 2. Walk to the front
entrance and press X. Choose "Go back to dorm" to return to the
dorm. Note that when you leave Tartarus, the next day will
               automatically come.

NOTE - From here on out, you decide when to come to Tartarus and when
to stay at home to rest or study. Because this is entirely your
choice, you will decide how this portion of the game plays out.
There are several ways to go about doing this. You can choose
to go to Tartarus several times throughout the week (most
people recommend going 2 or 3 times per week with this method).
Every time that you travel into the labrynth, your chracters
will become tired with each fight. You need to find a balance
that works for you so that you do not fall behind in increasing
your stats and improving your Social Links as well as
increasing your level in Tartarus. Whenever you travel into
Tartarus the night before a Full Moon, it takes longer for your
characters to become tired, but if they do reach that status,
when you return to the entrance they will not leave you, so you
can continue to grind as much as you want to, but your
               characters will be tired.

Tuesday, April 21
-----------------

Early Morning - On the way to school, you will be stopped at the front gate by
a friendly student. After introducing yourself, you leave for
the morning assembly that you heard about yesterday.

Afternoon - You are again in Mrs. Toriumi's class. After listening to her
speak for a bit, you are again given the choice to close your
eyes and doze off to rest or to stay awake and listen to her
lecture to increase your Academics. Choose as you please.

After School - This is the first free afternoon that you have had. I recommend
that you take advantage of this time by exploring the school
and becoming familiar with the grounds. When you are ready,
exit through the front entrance. To find the entrance directly
from the classroom, leave the classroom and go down the stairs
to the right. Go all the way down the hallway (stop by the
Men's Restroom at the end of the hallway on the left for a
chance to improve your current status) and exit through the
end. The school entrance is immediately to your left. Outside,
after an amusing scene in which Akihiko tells you to meet him
at the police station at the mall. When you regain control,
follow the courtyard down to the entrance and press X to reach
the Town Map. Choose "Paulownia Mall" to instantly travel
               there.

Go to the back of the mall and enter the Police station (the
building to the immediate left of the staircase at the back).
Akihiko will give you a gift of ¥5000 from the Chairman. You
can continue to speak with the police officer if you would
like, but save your money for today. Now would be a good time
to explore Port Island. Whatever you decide to do, when you are
finished, return to the dorm. Every night from here on out, you
must decide to travel into Tartarus, to sleep early, or to
study and then sleep. How you want to play the game will decide
your strategy for Tartarus. However, every night that you
return to the dorm, if you are tired you should sleep early. If
you are not tired, you should study and then sleep to increase
your Academics. Studying when you are tired or worse is just a
waste of time. Make your choice.

Wednesday, April 22nd
---------------------

Early Morning - The friendly boy Kenji that you met earlier will greet you at
               the front gate before school...

After School - ...and he will be standing in front of your desk after class.
You automatically accept his request to get some ramen after
school. Again, you are reminded of Igor's advice: "The strength
of the Social Link is the strength of the Persona." At the
restaurant, Hagakure, speak with Kenji and you will befriend
               him.

NEW SOCIAL LINK - After the meal, a new Social Link is
established with Kenji. It is of the
                                 "Magician" Arcana.

You decide to return to the dorm.

Evening - Tartarus, studying, or early sleeping. Make your choice.

Thursday, April 23rd
--------------------

Early Morning - You overhear another conversation between the two gossiping
girls. You learn that the athletic teams are accepting new
members today. The morning bell rings.

After School - You are reminded that the athletic teams are recruiting today.
You can talk to Kenji and spend some time with him, but I
recommend that you join one of the athletic teams (for the
purposes of this walkthrough, I'm going to assume that you
follow my advice). Exit the classroom and take the stairs to
the right. At the bottom, take the double doors at the right.
Walk down the corridor, noticing the tree to the left, and take
the next set of double doors at the end. In this room you will
find the Indoor Swimming Pool, the Gymnasium, and the Practice
Field. Join whichever club you would like. After the
conversations inside, you befriend all of your team mates.

NEW SOCIAL LINK - After conversation, a new Social Link is
established with your teammates. It is of the
                                 "Chariot" Arcana.

You decide to return to the dorm.

Evening - Junpei recommends that you go to Tartarus tonight, but the
               choice remains yours.

Friday, April 24th
------------------

Early Morning - You overhear a conversation between two gossiping students who
are talking about arcade games at the mall. The arcades games
at Game Panic differ depending on the day that you go there.
               The morning bell rings.

Lunchtime - Your various Social Links will approach you at lunchtime.
Decide whether or not you would like to spend time with them
(Remember, spending time with the people that you have
befriended can improve your Social Links).

After School - Depending on how you responded to Kenji and Kazushi, they will
be waiting on you after class. Speak with whomever you would
like to increase your particular Social Link with him. After
practice, Yuko may be waiting for you at the entrance to
school. Offer to walk her home. She will decline at first, but
after subsequent practices, she will accept your offer.

NEW SOCIAL LINK - A new Social Link is established with Yuko.
It is of the "Strength" Arcana.

If you declined the offers of your Social Links at Lunchtime,
you will have the afternoon to do as you please. When you are
finished, head back to the dorm.

Late Night - Tartarus, studying, or early sleeping. Make your choice.

Saturday, April 25th
--------------------

Early Morning - You hear another conversation between two gossiping students.
You learn that the bookstore at the strip mall at Iwatodai
Station is reopening. The morning bell rings.

After School - You are reminded of the reopening of the bookstore. Leave the
school to the Town Map and head to the Iwatodai Station. Walk
down the stairs and to the bottom-left to reach the strip mall.
Bookworms Used Books is to the left. Go inside and speak to the
old couple to learn of a persimmon tree at Gekkouan High
School (the one that I told you to take notice of earlier).
Head to the outdoor corridor that leads to the athletic clubs.
Approach the tree and press X to obtain a Persimmon Leaf. Head
back to Bookworms Used Books. Inside, choose to show the
Persimmon Leaf to the old man. Next, choose "That's right."

NEW SOCIAL LINK - After getting to know the couple better, a
new Social Link is established with them. It
                                 is of the "Hierophant" Arcana.

You decide to go back to the dorm.

Evening - Tartarus, studying, or early sleeping. If you choose to go to
your room, you should get a call from Kazushi. Decide to meet
with him or not. Make your choice.

Sunday, April 26th
------------------

Early Morning - Sunday is your day off. Spend your time wisely by improving
your social stats or your Social Links. When you are finished,
               return to your dorm.

Late Night - Tartarus, studying, or early sleeping. Make your choice.

Monday, April 27th
------------------

Early Morning - You overhear a conversation between two gossiping girls. You
learn about a special assembly today. The morning bell rings.

Lunchtime - Mitsuru stops by to tell you that she needs to speak with you
after school. She has a favor to ask of you.

Afternoon - You find yourself in math class with a new teacher. Again, you
are asked to answer a question.

QUIZ TIME - "Do you know when numbers were invented?"

                           -10,000 years ago
                           - 6,000 years ago
                           - 4,000 years ago

"6,000 years ago" is the correct answer.

After School - Mitsuru approaches you. She wants you to join the Student
Council. Agree to join. Go to the Faculty Office (take the
hallway across the lobby from the bulletin board in the main
lobby - it is the first door on the left). Speak to Mrs.
Toriumi about Student Council. After signing the papers, you
have the rest of the time to yourself. Spend it wisely by
improving your stats or Social Links. When you are finished,
               return to the dorm.

Late Night - Tartarus, studying, or early sleeping. Make your choice.

Tuesday, April 28th
-------------------

Early Morning - Mitsuru speaks with you at the front gate. She tells you that
if she is not in the lounge one day, the group will explore
               Tartarus on the following day.

After School - You have free time. Use it wisely by working on your stats or
Social Links. When you are finished, return to the dorm.

Evening - When you get back to the dorm, Mitsuru will tell you that the
Shadows ripped out the internet line but that it will be fixed
tomorrow. Junpei jumps in and tells you about an MMORPG that he
loves. He gives you a copy of it. From here, you can go to
Tartarus, study, or sleep early. Make your choice.

Wednesday, April 29th
---------------------

Early Morning - You have the day off from school because of Showa Day. You get
a reminder that the internet line is fixed.

Daytime - Approach your desk and press X. You have the option of playing
the game that Junpei gave you. Choose "Play the MMORPG" and as
you advance through the dialogue, choose "Heh, that's clever"
               to befriend Maya.

NEW SOCIAL LINK - After getting to knew Maya better, a new
Social Link is established. It is of the
                                 "Hermit" Arcana.

After playing the game, the entire day is taken up and the game
automatically advances to the next day.

Thursday, April 30th
--------------------

Lunchtime - Your Social Link(s) may speak with you in the hallway.

Afternoon - You are in class again listening to a lecture. You are again
given the choice to close your eyes and doze off to rest or to
stay awake and listen to her lecture to increase your
               Academics. Choose as you please.

After School - You have free time. Use it wisely by working on your stats or
Social Links. When you are finished, return to the dorm.

Evening - Back at the dorm, your cell phone rings. Elizabeth asks you to
come to the Velvet Room. There is an important matter that you
need to discuss with her. She tells of you of an alternate
entrance to the Velvet Room in Paulownia Mall. After the phone
call, if you have not yet gone again into Tartarus since the
first time, Mitsuru forces you to go. This will be your chance
to go into the Velvet Room and speak with Elizabeth. You learn
about Elizabeth's Requests (more detailed in the section
below). These requests are little sidequests that you can do
for ELizabeth for rewards. If you did decide to travel to the
labrynth tonight and you have finished with the Velvet Room
and/or Tartarus for the night, return to the dorm.

---------------

Early Morning - At the front gates, Yukari reminds you that you have to keep up
with your training in Tartarus if you want to succeed.

After School - Junpei and Yukari approach your desk after class. After the
scene in the classroom and at the hospital, you go back to the
               dorm.

Evening - Tartarus, studying, or early sleeping. Make your choice.

Saturday, May 2nd
-----------------

Early Morning - You overhear a conversation between the gossiping girls. You
learn about Golden Week and Tanaka's show on Sunday afternoon.
               The morning bell rings.

After School - You have free time. Use it wisely by working on your stats or
Social Links. When you are finished, return to the dorm.

Evening - Tartarus, studying, or early sleeping. Make your choice.

The Dark Hour - Whenever you choose to go asleep, the Dark Hour approaches. You
are greeted by a familiar face. He tells you of a challenging
ordeal that you will face on the Full Moon that is approaching.
Do not forget to keep up with your training.

Sunday, May 3rd
---------------

Early Morning - Today is Constitution Day, the beginning of Golden Week.

Daytime - You pretty much today and the following two days entirely to
yourself. Use your time wisely by improving your stats and your
Social Links. (Note: In trying my best to find a balance
between not spoiling the game but not putting any annoyances
for you, I can give you a piece of advice here that will help
you later - Sometime during this long weekend, buy a "Mad Bull"
drink from the vending machine at the entrance to the second
floor. Also, go to Iwatodai Station and go to the Takoyaki
stand on the opposite side of the strip mall as the bookstore.
Buy some Weird Takoyaki. You will need these two items for
something important, and if you don't have them when you need
them, you have to waste time going to find these two items).
When you finish whatever you decide to do, return to the dorm.

Evening - Tartarus, studying, or early sleeping. Make your choice.

Monday, May 4th
---------------

Early Morning - Today is Greenery Day, the second day of Golden Week.

Daytime - Again, you have the entire day to yourself, so make the best
use of your time that you possibly can. Whatever you decide to
do, once you finish you should return to the dorm and head to
sleep, study, or go to Tartarus.

Tuesday, May 5th
----------------

Early Morning - Today is Children's Day, the last day of Golden Week.

Daytime - Again, you have the entire day to yourself, so make the best
use of your time that you possibly can. Whatever you decide to
do, once you finish you should return to the dorm and head to
sleep, study, or go to Tartarus.

Wednesday, May 6th
------------------

Early Morning - You overheard two gossiping girls talking about a sad
elementary school girl at Naganaki Shrine. The morning bell
               rings.

Morning - You find yourself in Ms. Ounishi's class.

QUIZ TIME - "What do you call water without much calcium and
                            magnesium?"

                            -Hard Water
                            -Soft Water
                            -Natural Water

"Soft Water" is the correct answer.

After School - After class, leave school and head to the Naganaki Shrine. You
will see thelittle girl that the gossiping girls were talking
about this morning. Continue speaking with Maiko and she will
eat your Weird Yakoyaki and drink your Mad Bull. Agree to play
with her again. This conversation does not advance the time, so
you will have free time after speaking with Maiko. Work on your
stats or Social Links, or pray at the shrine if you would like.
When you are finished, return to the dorm.

Evening - Study, sleep, or go to Tartarus. Make your choice.

Thursday, May 7th
-----------------

Lunchtime - Your Social Link(s) may approach you in the hallway.

After School - You have some more free time, do with it what you will. When
you have finished, return to the dorm.

Evening - Again, study, sleep, or go to Tartarus. Make your choice.

Friday, May 8th
---------------

Lunchtime - Your Social Link(s) may approach you in the hallway.

After School - You have some more free time, do with it what you will. When
you have finished, return to the dorm.

Evening - Back at the dorm, Mitsuru and Akihiko have a conversation about
the encounter with the Shadows outside of Tartarus a month
before. Afterwards, you have the the choice to go to Tartarus,
to sleep, or to study, but I highly recommend that you travel
to Tartarus tonight. It should be your goal from here on out to
reach the barrier to the next block before the Full Moon.
Whatever you decide to do, when you are finished, head back to
               the dorm and to bed.

Saturday, May 9th
-----------------

Early Morning - You speak with Akihiko at the front gate of school. He makes
sure that you are keeping up with your training in Tartarus.

After School - You receive a message that tonight is the Full Moon. You
remember that this is the night that the Mysterious Boy warned
you about. You decide to automatically head back to the dorm to
               be safe.

The Dark Hour - After several amusing scenes between the members of SEES,
Mitsuru informs you that an especially powerful Shadow is at
the monorail tonight. Although the citizens of Port Island know
nothing of the Dark Hour, it is imperative that they not wake
from their coffins to find their city in ruins.

When you regain control of your characters on the Monorail
Bridge, head to the right to the actual monorail. Once inside,
the doors lock and the train begins to move. Continue straight
up through all of the cars. After Junpei runs off, you will be
ambushed by two Spurious Books from behind. They are weak
against fire, so use Agi to get rid of them quickly. After the
battle, you again face to Spurious Books, but this time, a Heat
Balance is with them. Again, use Agi against the two Spurious
Books but use Garu against the Heat Balance (more than likely,
you can take it out with just physical attacks). Afterwards,
continue forward through the carriages. In the next fight, you
encounter another Spurious Book, a Heat Balance, and a Dancing
Hand. Use Agi on the Spurious Book and the Dancing Hand, and
use Garu or physical attacks on the Heat Balance. After the
battle, the monorail begins to move again, but this time, it is
on a collision course. A countdown timer of 8 minutes displays
on your screen. Your objective is to get to the carriage at the
very front and to destroy the Shadow that has taken over the
monorail. Again, you are ambushed at the door. Use Agi against
the two Dancing Hands and the Laughing Table.

After the battle, continue forward while fighting the two
groups of Shadows that you come across (Agi will work fine
against all of them). Move through the next door to face the
               boss on the other side.

Occasionally, the Priestess will summon Muttering Tiaras into the Battle. They
can attack your party, but the most dangerous thing they can do is heal the
boss with Dia. Whenever the Tiaras are summoned, make them your primary target.
When they are not present, focus all of your attention on the Priestess, but be
sure that you do not use Bufu. She has some dangerous attacks like Maguru
(especially against Junpei) and Pinpula. Keep yourself healed with Cadenza (you
may want to consider opening the fight with Cadenza for the boost in evasion).
Interestingly enough, if you can score a critical hit against the boss, she
will kneel over and give you the chance to perform an All-Out Attack (but, of
course, if you need to relent to heal, do so). This fight should not be
terribly hard, just remember to get rid of the summons and focus fire on the
boss.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the fight, your SEES Social Link grows to level 3. Additionally, you
learn the new tactic "Conserve SP." As soon as you get back to the dorm, you
automatically decide to go to sleep.

Sunday, May 10th
----------------

Early Morning - You receive a call from Elizabeth. She tells you that the
barrier at the top of the first block has disappeared.

Daytime - There is no school today, so you have all day to yourself.
First of all, you may want to consider heading to the lounge
and saving your game at the sign-in sheet. Afterwards, you have
the day to yourself. Decide how to spend your time, then head
back to the dorm for the night to get some rest.

Monday, May 11th
----------------

Early Morning - You speak with Junpei at the front gate of the school.

Morning - You find yourself back in a classroom. Mr. Ekoda reminds you
that midterm exams start next Monday. Hopefully, you have been
studying at school or in your room or you have been increasing
your Academics at the shrine or at the mall. Your Academics
stat needs to be at least at level 3 for you to receive top
marks on your exams. This time in class, you have another
chance to stay awake and listen to or a lecture or to doze off
and rest for a little bit. You probably want to consider
staying awake to get the Academics boost for the midterms
               approaching.

After School - You have free time. Work on your stats or Social Links. Because
it is the week before midterms, your Social Links at school
(Kenji, Kazushi, Yuko) will not be available. If you want, head
to the Naganaki Shrine to find the little girl by herself.
Speak with her and agree to play with her. Agree to continue
playing with her and you will befriend her.

NEW SOCIAL LINK - After deciding to play with Maiko the grade-
schooler, a new Social Link is established.
It is of the "Hanged Man" Arcana.

Maiko tells you that she has cram school on Sunday, but that
she is free during the rest of the week. Keep that in mind as
you progress through the game. After the conversation, you
decide to head back to the dorm.

Evening - When you arrive back at the dorm, Mitsuru asks you to take a
look at the equipment in the command room. Head up the stairs
to the fourth floor and go straight through the double doors.
Press X at the console on the left to see an amusing scene with
the Chairman. Now, you can decide to study, sleep early, or go
to Tartarus. If you decide to go back to your room, you will
get a reminder that exams are coming up. If you are not tired
and you decide not to go into Tartarus, you need to study
before you go to bed. Make your choice. Throughout the week
before midterm exams, you may not want to head to Tartarus at
night. You will often not have a full team because Yukari
studies at night. You should focus your time into studying as
               well.

Tuesday, May 12th
-----------------

Early Morning - Yukari stops you at the front gate to talk about the Shadow
that you defeated on the Full Moon. Again, you are reminded
               about midterms.

After School - Spend your time after class working on stats or Social Links
outside of school. When you are finished, return to the dorm.

Evening - Again, you can decide to study, sleep early, or go to Tartarus.
If you decide to go back to your room, you will get a reminder
that exams are coming up. If you are not tired and you decide
not to go into Tartarus, you need to study before you go to
               bed. Make your choice.

Wednesday, May 13th
-------------------

Early Morning - You overhear a conversation between the gossiping girls. The
               morning bell rings.

Afternoon - You now find yourself in the classroom of Mr. Takenozuka. You
               are asked a question.

QUIZ TIME - "How fast would you say the Earth rotates near the
                            equator?"

                            -About 420 km/hour.
                            -About 850 km/hour.
                            -About 1,700 km/hour.

The correct answer is "About 1,700 km/hour."

After School - After class ends, you have free time. Work on your stats or
Social Links, then return to the dorm when you are finished.
On Wednesdays, the Quiz Game is available at Game Panic at the
Paulownia Mall. You may want to consider going there to
increase your Academics for your quickly-approaching midterm
               exams.

Evening - As always, sleep, study, or go to Tartarus.

Thursday, May 14th
------------------

After School - Use your time to improve stats or Social Links, then return to
               the dorm.

     Evening - Study, sleep, Tartarus.

Friday, May 15th
----------------

Early Morning - Mitsuru reminds you of exams beginning next week. She says that
if your grades are good, she will give you a reward.

Afternoon - You are in Mrs. Terauchi's class. Again, you are randomly
chosen to answer a question in front of the class.

QUIZ TIME - "One of the items on the menu for the family is
"pan." How would you translate this to English?

                           -Bread
                           -Chicken
                           -Pancakes

                           The correct answer is "Bread."

The teacher reminds you that this question will be on the next
               exam.

After School - After your class, spend your time as you need to, then head
               back to the dorm.

     Evening - Study, sleep, Tartarus.

Saturday, May 16th
------------------

Early Morning - You learn that Akihiko will be fully healed after midterms.

Morning - There is a lecture today in class. Doze off to rest or stay
               awake to increase your Academics.

After School - Again, you have free time to work on your stats and Social
Links. When you have finished you can return to the dorm.

     Evening - Study, sleep, Tartarus.

Sunday, May 17th
----------------

Early Morning - No school today.

Daytime - You have the entire day to yourself. You can use it to work on
stats (Academics, hopefully), or by improving your Social
               Links.

Evening - Do what you do best, then head on to bed.

Monday, May 18th
----------------

Early Morning - First semester midterm exams begin today and they last for six
days. You overhear a conversation between the gossiping girls
at the front gate of the school. The first bell rings.

Morning - Midterm Exam #1 - There are no questions for you to answer for
this one, your grade here is directly
determined by your Academics stat. For best
marks, Academics needs to be at level 3

Tuesday, May 19th
-----------------

Morning - Midterm Exam #2 - "How would you translate "pan" in English?"

                                 -Chicken
                                 -Pancake
                                 -Pudding
                                 -Bread

                                 The correct answer is "Bread."

Wednesday, May 20th
-------------------

Morning - Midterm Exam #3 - "How fast does the Earth rotate near the
                                  equator?"

                                 -Faster than sound
                                 -As fast as sound
                                 -Slower than sound
                                 -Slower than an airplane

The correct answer is "Faster than sound."

Thursday, May 21th
------------------

Morning - Midterm Exam #4 - "What's the name for water high in calcium
                                  and magnesium?"

                                  -Hard water
                                  -Soft water
                                  -Mineral water
                                  -Natural water

The correct answer is "Hard water."

Friday, May 22th
----------------

Morning - Midterm Exam #5 - "Where is the Kitora Tomb located?"

                                 -Yamagata
                                 -Shiga
                                 -Nara
                                 -Kagoshima

                                 The correct answer is "Nara."

Saturday, May 23th
------------------

Early Morning - Finally, the last day of midterm exams. Akihiko speaks with you
at the front gate. He wants for you to continue leading the
group even when he rejoins you.

Morning - Midterm Exam #6 - Again, you don't have to answer a question
here. The result of this exam comes directly
                                 from your Academics stat.

After School - You have some more free time to yourself. Work on your stats
or Social Links and head back to the dorm when you are
finished. Your at-school Social Links are back in order today.

Evening - Back at the dorm, you see a scene with some of the SEES
members. Akihiko says that he must begin his training
immediately because he wasted the entire month. This is also
true because of the time that you have invested because of the
midterm exams. You have sixteen days left until the next Full
Moon, and more than likely you have not travelled into Tartarus
               at all so far.

Additionally, Akihiko mentions a new Persona-user. Her name is
Fuuka Yamagishi. After the amusing scene, you regain control of
your character. You want to seriously consider investing a lot
of time in Tartarus between now and the next Full Moon,
starting tonight. Now that you have a full party of four people
(with the new guy, Akihiko, now being the strongest) you will
have a much better chance in the labrynth. Regardless of what
you do, when you are finished, head back to the dorm and get
               some rest.

Sunday, May 24th
----------------

Early Morning - You have no school on Sundays.

Daytime - You have the entire day to yourself. You can use it to work on
stats (Academics, hopefully), or by improving your Social
               Links.

Evening - Sleep, study, or go to Tartarus.

Monday, May 25th
----------------

Early Morning - Exam results will be posted today. Yukari stops you at the
front gate to speak about Junpei and Fuuka.

Lunchtime - A student runs into the room and announces that the results of
the midterm exams have been posted. You decide to go take a
look. If you do well, you get a boost in Charm. After lunch,
you decide to go back to your classroom.

Afternoon - You are in Ms. Toriumi's class. You are given the option to
listen to her lecture or to close your eyes and doze off. Make
               your choice.

After School - After class, you have free time. Use it to work on your stats
or to work on your Social Links. Once you have finished, head
back to the dorm for the night.

Evening - Back at the dorms, Mitsuru is not present, so you cannot go to
Tartarus for the night and you cannot claim the prize that she
promised you if you made top marks on your midterm exams. Go
to sleep, study, or travel to the mall. Once you've made your
               choice, get some rest.

Tuesday, May 26th
-----------------

Early Morning - You speak with Junpei at the front gate about midterm exam
               grades.

After School - After class, you have free time. Use it to work on your stats
or to work on your Social Links. Once you have finished, head
back to the dorm for the night.

Evening - Back at the dorm, speak with Mitsuru. If you received top marks
on your midterm exams, you will receive your reward. Otherwise,
               you get nothing.

                               7.0.0 - Bosses
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

As stated in the walkthrough, the floors of Tartarus are randomly generated.
There would be no point in trying to individually write for each floor as each
trip is a different scenario. However, Guardian-protected floors of Tartarus
are always the same. Additionally, Full Moon Boss fights will always occur on
a Full Moon. As such, it is up to you to decide your own pace for Tartarus, but
always remember to reach the barrier that separates your current block from the
next one before a Full Moon. Here are individual strategies for the battles
against the Tartarus Guardians and against the Full Moon Bosses.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                             Tartarus Guardians
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Floor 5
-------
o-------------------------------o
| Venus Eagle x 3               |
o-------------------------------o
| Arcana - Empress              |
o-------------------------------o---------------------------------o
| Slash | Strike | Pierce | Agi | Bufu | Zio | Garu | Hama | Mudo |
o-----------------------------------------------------------------o
|       |        |  WEAK  |     |      |     |      |      |      |
o-----------------------------------------------------------------o

Before entering this battle, equip as many people with bows as you can (Yukari
already uses one). The Venus Eagles are weak against bow attacks, so hit each
of them to knock them to the ground, then perform an All-Out attack. Also, be
sure to heal as necessary. Rinse and repeat until the beasts are dead. One
thing of interest is that Junpei is weak to Garu, so if the monsters all string
out a group of three Garu attacks, Junpei could be in trouble.

Floor 10
--------
o-------------------------------o
| Dancing Hand x 3              |
o-------------------------------o
| Arcana - Magician             |
o-------------------------------o---------------------------------o
| Slash | Strike | Pierce | Agi | Bufu | Zio | Garu | Hama | Mudo |
o-----------------------------------------------------------------o
|       |  WEAK  |        |     |      |     |      |      |      |
o-----------------------------------------------------------------o

This boss fight can be a lot tougher than the previous one. The enemies are
weak against strike attacks, so Orpheus's Bash will be one of your favorite
skills to use here. Bash all three of them to get them on the ground, then use
an All-Out attack. If you are low on health, relent and use the turn to heal
with Cadenza, which also ups your evasion rate (you may even want to consider
beginning the battle with Cadenza just for this boost).

Again, Junpei is weak against wind attacks, so the Dancing Hands's Maguru
attack can not only definitely lay down the hurt on your party, but it can take
him out in one shot. Continue to keep the enemies on the ground and to balance
your turns between All-Out attacks and healing and you should be fine.

Floor 14
--------
o-------------------------------o
| Rampage Drive                 |
o-------------------------------o
| Arcana - Chariot              |
o-------------------------------o---------------------------------o
| Slash | Strike | Pierce | Agi | Bufu | Zio | Garu | Hama | Mudo |
o-----------------------------------------------------------------o
|  NUL  |  NUL   |  NUL   |     |      |     |      |      |      |
o-----------------------------------------------------------------o

This is the toughest boss that you have faced thus far in the game. He is
immune to all physical attacks and he has no elemental weaknesses for you to
exploit. As with all other boss fights so far, you may want to open the battle
with Cadenza for the boost in evasion.

The boss has a skill that raises his attack power. It also has some attacks
that hit all of the party members, and when everyone's HP gets low, you will
want to use Cadenza to heal. If you are really having trouble keeping everyone
alive, you can also go into the tactics menu and set Yukari to "Heal/Support."
She will take her attention away from attacking to heal with Dia. At any rate,
focus all of your attacks on the boss, healing when necessary. There is no
special strategy for this one - Attack with your Persona's skills and heal when
you need to.

Floor 25
--------
o-------------------------------o
| Crying Table x 3              |
o-------------------------------o
| Arcana - Magician             |
o-------------------------------o---------------------------------o
| Slash | Strike | Pierce | Agi | Bufu | Zio | Garu | Hama | Mudo |
o-----------------------------------------------------------------o
|       |        |        |     |  WK  |     |      |      |      |
o-----------------------------------------------------------------o

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                              Full Moon Bosses
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

o-------------------------------o
| Priestess                     |
o-------------------------------o
| Arcana - Priestess            |
o-------------------------------o---------------------------------o
| Slash | Strike | Pierce | Agi | Bufu | Zio | Garu | Hama | Mudo |
o-----------------------------------------------------------------o
|       |        |        |     | RPL  |     |      |      |      |
o-----------------------------------------------------------------o

This fight should not be
terribly hard, just remember to get rid of the summons and focus fire on the
boss.

Velvet Room, you learn about Elizabeth's Requests. They are basically
sidequests that you can do for items and money. It is important to note that
you do not automatically complete a request once the objective is complete. You

passing the due date to be successful.

Completion - Look for the small Shadows from floors 6-15 until you encounter
a Grave Beetle. It is week to wind, so use Garu to flip it on its

             the Beetle Shell.

     Level - * (1/5)
Completion - Simple. Go into the Velvet Room and choose the option "Go on a
             date with Elizabeth."

13.0.0 - How To Contact Me
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

If you have any reason you need to talk to me for anything (relating to this
guide for Persona 3 FES), email me at:

awutow15_gamefaqs[at]hotmail[dot]com.

Below is information on what I will and will not read. Be sure to keep in mind
that if you send me anything that is under the "Do *Not* Send Me" list, more
than likely you will be blocked, and your message might appear on the GameFAQs
message boards. Read below for more information.

|-DO SEND ME-|

Questions: I openly accept questions under a few conditions: Be sure to look
through the FAQ to make sure that your question hasn't already been answered.
If it hasn't been answered, be sure that when you email me, to include the
subject of the question along with Persona, or "Persona 3 FES" in the subject
heading, or it will probably be deleted. It might also help a lot if you
include a little bit of the question in the subject.

Commendment and Criticism: Obviously, if you think I did a good job with this
FAQ, I'd love to hear from you. I've actually commented on some people's FAQs
before as well. Also, if there is anything you don't like about the FAQ, please
be sure to email me your suggestions as well, and don't forget to include
something in the subject or you will probably get deleted. If you send me
suggestions on something to change about my FAQ, I can't promise anything will
happen - in fact, more than likely nothing will happen. But it can't hurt to
try, right?

Contributions: It would really be appreciated if you could e-mail me any
contributions you have. Like I said before, pretty much anything even remotely
relating to "Persona 3 FES" is needed to make this guide as complete as I want
it to be.

|-DO *NOT* SEND ME-|
0==================0

Chain Mail, Spam, or Flames, under ANY circumstances. I only accept these
things (chain mail) from a few of my very very close friends, and ONLY my
closest friends, but otherwise, send me anything like this, and you *WILL*
promptly be blocked, no questions asked. Send me flames, and you will probably
find a "G" rated version of your message[s] on the GameFAQs message boards.
I refuse to tolerate anything like this, and I don't think there is much more
to be said about it.

Anything with terrible grammar, but most of all, don't send me flames with
terrible grammar, because they will IMMEDIATELY be posted on GameFAQs. You know
what? Just don't send any flames at all, and we can all be happy.

As for grammar, please don't send me e-mail relating to spelling or grammatical
errors in the guide. I am constantly scoping this entire guide in the hopes of
making any corrections I can, and it would be deeply appreciated if we could
just leave it at that. You won't get flamed and your message won't get posted
on the GameFAQs boards, but I would really appreciate it if I didn't receive
any e-mails relating to spelling and grammar. I will find mistakes such as
those on my own. Thank you.
