Wonder Boy is a port of the arcade game with many things missing.

3. Controls

D-pad - move
Left button - throw pickaxe
Right button - jump
Left + right buttons at same time - Super-jump

4. Walkthrough
==============================================================================
AREA 1
There is a pickaxe as soon as you start. Go right and jump over rocks. You
will eventually see stair-like platforms. Soon after is a fire. You can't kill
it, so jump over it. On the branching path, the top is filled with fire, and
there is an egg for your troubles. If you stay up, there are platforms leading
to the top of the screen. Do not go up or you will be returned to the
beginning. If you went on the bottom path, it is easier but you get no egg.
There is also a small opening on the bottom that also returns you to the
beginning. Soon you will reach a boss. It is easy, shoot its head a few times.
AREA 2
There is an egg. You need a super-jump to get on some of the clouds. Kill the
octopi as they jump out of the water. Soon you will reach land. In the small
hole, if you go right you will be back at the start. You can't get out, so you
have to do it again if you went in. More cloud jumping, then land an an egg.
Be careful to get out of the fires, then more cloud jumping then land to the
boss.
AREA 3
There is an egg. After going right more, you will see a falling rock. There is
later a few holes and an egg. Then there will be two rocks and an egg soon
after. Then there is an egg and a way to the beginning in the small opening at
the top. Then it's straightforward to the boss.
AREA 4
The terrain is slippery. There is an egg. After a second egg, there are some
clouds. After the third egg, the useless hole brings you back to the start.
Right after is the boss.
AREA 5
There is an egg. There's nothing really to say, it's very straightforward.
That's it, the game then brings you to the title screen.
