03 - Game Basics:

In general, UYA requires you to get from point A to point B, achieve an
objective and then return to A. To do this you will have to make use of the
following: Weapons, Gadgets and Items (03.1), Controls (03.3), Game Display
(03.4). There are also several kinds of crates that you find in the game that
come in handy, these are single player only unless otherwise stated. Bolts are
your money.

Wooden Crate: Smash to get bolts.

Exploding Crate (red): Touch and run or use projectile on to break for bolts.
Simply smashing it with the wrench works, but the
                       explosion injures your character.

Nanotech (health) Crate (transparent): Smash to restore partial or full
                                       health, in Single and multiplayer.

Gadgetron (G) Crate: Smash to get ammo.

Jackpot Crate (green): Smash to multiply bolt and experience gain by 2 for a
short time. If a multiplier is already active, that
will be doubled for a short time.

Inferno Crate (orange): Smash to activate Inferno Mode, this gives two
wrenches, max armour and invincibility for a short
                        time.

Hard Crate (dark blue): Use explosive crate or non-wrench weapon to break.

Weapons/gadget Crate: Smash to gain pictured weapon/gadget (multiplayer only)

03.1 - Weapons, Gadgets and Items:

Most of the weapons and gadgets in UYA will have some familiar characteristics
to the players of previous games in the series, some of them are identical. If
you're having trouble with the Suck Cannon or just can't find Gravity Boots;
these subsections are where to look: Weapons (03.1.1), Gadgets (03.1.2), Items
(03.1.3), Multiplayer Weapons and Gadgets (03.1.4).

03.1.1 - Weapons:

There are advantages, cost-wise, to having played the previous games in the
series, with an RC1 save that has the Hologuise gadget you can unlock the 10%
Gadgetron Employee Discount (GED). Or if you have the Bouncer, Miniturret
Glove, Shield Charger, Plasma Coil and/or the Lava Gun or their upgrades, from
RC2 you can get them for free thanks to your Megacorp Warranty (MW). Any
controls indicated in this section refer to third-person gameplay. A listing
of which weapon each mod can be found on is in section 03.1.1.1.

04 - Single Player:

This section explains the main features of the single player game. If you
haven't played a Ratchet & Clank game before now it may be useful to read up
on the basics (03).

04.1 - Characters/back-story:

Here is a brief summary of the main characters', and some lesser characters',
back-stories from Ratchet and Clank 1 & 2. Characters new to UYA are not
listed here but can be read about in the walkthrough. You may choose instead
to read the more detailed game scripts from previous games which are now
available on GameFAQs.

Ratchet: A Lombax from planet Veldin, originally employed as a mechanic he
always wanted to leave his planet and travel through space, he even built a
ship to do so. His ship was only able to function thanks to Clank's help and
the pair set off to save the Solana Galaxy from the Blargian Chairman Drek.
After this several months passed and they were again called to action, this
  time in the Bogon Galaxy.

Clank: A sentary bot with serial number B5429671 was built on Quartu, however
his mother built him far differently to the standard so that he would save
the galaxy. After helping save two galaxies he went on to become a TV star.
He has been upgraded four times so far with a Heli-pack, Thruster-pack,
Hydro-pack and Levitator. The Levitator was installed by Ratchet while in
the Bogon galaxy, but no longer seems to work.

Captain Qwark: This superhero was out of work and had very little money, he
was spokesman for many businesses in the Solana galaxy. When Chairman Drek
hired him as the spokesman for his new world he was forced to battle Ratchet
and Clank. Qwark was defeated and began selling products under the Gadgetron
name as "Steve McQwark" he was soon found out and charged, but escaped. He
then disguised himself as Abecrombe Fizzwidget - founder of the Bogon
galaxy's Megacorp and set out to doom that galaxy, save them and blame
Ratchet and Clank, but again he failed. After a brief career as a Megacorp
tester he returned to Solana and his location is unknown.

The Waterworker/Plumber: He left his home planet Novalis with Ratchet's help
after Drek started to remove a piece for use in his new planet, which would
destroy Novalis. He was then seen again on Batalia where he provided Ratchet
with a gadget and mentioned a future meeting. In the Bogon galaxy he was
seen fixing some plumbing in the Thugs For Less prison and sold Ratchet a
Qwark action figure, again he mentioned a future meeting.

Skidd McMarxx: The professional hoverboarder crashed his ship on Aridia on his
way to the races, he had Ratchet clear a path to his ship and in exchange
  gave him a hoverboard.

Helga: We saw Qwark's fitness trainer on Kerwan where after Ratchet finished
a challenge course she sold him a Swingshot. When Qwark went missing in
Bogon she was seen in the Thugs For Less prison brochure as a fitness
  trainer there.

Big Al: His Roboshack on Kerwan had Qwark as a spokesman, he also installed
Clank's Heli-pack. His brother Bob and sister Ed own Roboshacks on Pokitaru
and Hoven respectively, they installed Clank's other upgrades.

Slim Cognito: His career is dealings in things "legally ambiguous". In the
Bogon galaxy he upgraded Ratchet's ship for him, however these upgrades are
  irrelevant in UYA.

Darla Gratch: Though just a news field-reporter, and a minor character that
has not actually met the heroes to our knowledge, Darla is in all three
games, this is something achieved by only six characters. In case you are
interested, she originally worked for Channel 2, but moved to Channel 64
  after Drek's defeat.

04.2 - Walkthrough:

If any of the following sections of the walkthrough are too vague contact me
(07) and tell me the section number to elaborate on.

Clank's Apartment, Megapolis, Planet Endako, Bogon galaxy.

After changing the channel from one of Clank's "Secret Agent Clank" movies,
Ratchet finds a news report on the TV: Veldin, Ratchet's homeworld, is under
attack by Tyhrranoids, led by a robot named Dr Nefarious. The pair return to
Veldin in the Solana galaxy in an attempt to save it.

04.2.01 - Kyzil Plateau, Planet Veldin, Solana galaxy:

Mission: Save Veldin
The Tyhrranoids have invaded your home planet you must save it!

Current Equipment:
Omniwrench, 10 nanotech (health), Alpha Combat Suit, Heli-pack, Thruster-pack
 (not equipped), Hydro-pack.

Up ahead are some basic enemies, go fight them, then follow the Galactic
Rangers up a ledge to receive a Shock Blaster from them, and become the new
sergeant. Use this new weapon on the next few enemies.

The rangers are having trouble with an enemy vehicle, they'll give you a Nitro
Launcher to take it out. After doing so, you can enter a hole below the
enemy's former position and continue, soon you'll reach Ratchet's home and
it's in ruins, behind it is a dropship, you have to go to and defend F-sector.

Mission: Eliminate the Enemy Forces
Veldin will never be safe while the enemy force still occupies territory.
Surprise them in their camp and end this once and for all.

Skydive into battle, dodging the missiles. You may want to use first person
view (L1) to take out the laser vehicle. The on screen help and ranger's
comments should help you out, but remember to switch weapons if necessary.

Finally, after wiping out another air unit, Veldin is safe. Head to the
dropship. The Galactic President wants you to track down the only man ever to
have defeated Dr Nefarious. He seems like the wrong guy for the job, but if
the President wants him, you've got to get him.

04.2.02 - Nabala Forest, Planet Florana:

Mission: Find The Mysterious Man

New weapons at Gadgetron vendor: N60 Storm, Plasma Whip.
If you can hold off buying them for now you can get a 10% discount activated
on the next level, provided you have a RC1 save with the Hologuise, I bought
the Whip despite knowing this.

During progression along the main path, be sure to use weapons as evenly as
possible so that they will upgrade, this level has a boss fight. I should
probably also note that some enemies in this level, as well as some later
levels, are hidden until you approach them. For this level both tribesmen and
swamp creatures can be hidden. The swamp creatures do however have an
indicator that they are nearby; the water in which they hide has circular
ripples.

After climbing the first ladder you will see a vendor, some enemies and a
brown protruding ledge. You are to jump down from here and glide to the
platform below, however if you move the camera you'll see a ledge below you.
Drop down to this ledge where there is a Titanium Bolt waiting.

Back on the main path, only a few steps away, is a building. One of the crates
at the door is an Inferno Crate, this temporarily gives you invincibility but
limits you to dual wrenches as weapons. The doorway you entered will close and
you'll have to fight some tribesmen. After this during the first use of wall
kicks you'll come to, and climb, a partial ladder, if you go to the clearing
on the opposite side of the wall kick area and follow the ledge around to the
left you can get the Ratchet Trophy, backtrack  to the main path and continue
on. You will need to use a vine as a zipline to slide down to the next area,
simply jump up to it.

Reaching the end of the path Ratchet is confronted by "the Florana tree
beast", and his monkey, and told to walk the "path of death".

Mission: Walk the PATH OF DEATH!
The path contains: falling platforms, tribesmen and bugs, flame tiles,
crushers and rolling boulders. In all cases keep your eyes one step ahead, and
move quickly but safely. Watch for patterns on the fire tiles, move towards
the crushers when they are closed and strafe between boulders. Just before the
first set of flame tiles, look right to see a hidden area, jump and glide
across for the Titanium bolt then resume the path. When you reach the vendor
at the end of the path, max out your ammo.

Mission: Defeat Captain Qwark
It turns out that the mystery man was, in fact, Captain Qwark! Defeat him in
combat and bring him to the Galactic President.

This boss should be fairly easy, you can use your lowest level weapons, for me
this was the Plasma Whip V1 and Nitro Launcher V1, the experience gained here
will help upgrade them.

Qwark has two moves throw boomerang and strike with boomerang at close range,
these can be avoided by strafing and jumping.

Qwark, who thinks he's a monkey, and his monkey get in your ship. The
commander of the Starship Phoenix, Sasha, has been assigned to help you, so
that's where you fly automatically.

04.2.03 - Starship Phoenix, Outer Space:

Mission: Take Qwark to his cage
Sasha wants you to take care of Qwark before meeting her on the bridge. Take
him to his habitat near the lounge room right away.

More information about the Phoenix can be found in section 04.7 of this FAQ.

New weapons at Gadgetron vendor: Infector, Suck Cannon.

If you qualify for the Gadgetron discount it can now be activated at this
vendor, it's also a good idea to buy some weapons. Armour is also important,
it too can be bought on the Phoenix.

New armour available: Magnaplate Armour

If you complete some challenges on the VR deck now you may be able to afford
some new weapons or armour, or a weapon may upgrade. VR challenges are all
fairly easy, they are listed in section 04.7, the last one earns you a
Titanium bolt.

Your current mission is very simple, head to the part of the map (SELECT or
R3) that is labelled "play vid-comic". Next you are required to go to the
bridge, again it's fairly easy to follow the map.

On the bridge we find out that the President is Sasha's father, and Marcadia
is under attack. You've got to fly there and save him, for the first time
this means actually going to your ship on your own, indicated by a star on the
map.

04.2.04 - Capital City, Planet Marcadia:

Mission: Get to the palace
The President's compound is under attack. Make your way to the transport ship
so you can get to the palace and save him.

New weapons at Gadgetron vendor: Spitting Hydra.

The rangers will help you get around the corner then leave. With the right
weaponry you'll be fine (at this point I had Shock Blaster, Nitro Launcher,
N60 Storm, Plasma Whip V2s and Suck Cannon V1). Don't forget that breaking
crates, and certain pieces of the environment, will get you more health, bolts
or ammo (the environment only provides bolts).

Ahead is a large quantity of enemies, the whip or a gun is probably your best
bet, note that the laser vehicles now have a larger range. After beating the
first of these, follow the wall that was on your right to reach a wall jump
area, this leads to the only Titanium bolt currently reachable on Marcadia.
Return to the main path, clear your path with any ranged weapon and soon
you'll reach the dropship. Before boarding, fill your Suck Cannon if possible.

Mission: Secure the area
The compound must be secured before the president will be safe. Fight off
waves of enemies on foot along with the rangers.

Battle Missions (The whip is surprisingly useful)
 Operation: Iron Shield
Part 1: Secure the area (Reward 3,000 bolts)
Drive the Tyhrranoids out of the compound then defend the area against a
  series of brutal attacks.

Part 2: Air assault (Reward 4,500 bolts)
At least one ranger must survive this mission, watch the radar in the corner
of the screen for enemies (red) approaching the rangers (blue).

Part 3: Turret command (Reward 6,000 bolts)
Get to the plasma turret and blast those 'noid dropships out of the sky. If
you miss a dropship, quickly take out the dropped enemy. Saucers are the
rangers' targets, attack them if they attack you or there are no other
  targets.

Part 4: Under the gun (Reward 7,500 bolts)
Defend the turret repair crew. Again only one of those Rangers need to
  survive.

Part 5: Hit n' run (Reward 9,000 bolts)
Use the bolt cranks to activate the automated turrets in sequence. Take out
most nearby enemies first, letting go of the crank means starting over. At
any time the next node is indicated by a green spot on the radar.

The President congratulates the duo, and requests that Ratchet go and fix the
city's defence shield. Apparently the guy they sent to fix it disappeared,
head to the laser defence facility.

Mission: Repair the laser defence shield
Without the city's laser shield, Marcadia is defenceless. Use your Refractor
to repair the shield and locate the repairman they sent to fix it.

The Refractor is right in front of you, take the gadget, stand in the beam
(with the refractor equipped) and aim it at the receiver with the first person
view (L1). You'll need to use it several times, and will also have to turn
some more bolt cranks, and fight a few Tyhrranoids.

One part of this which may prove confusing involves a spiderbot. After
creating a bridge by hitting a refractor target then beating another laser
vehicle, jump up onto the raised area, which a laser is currently hitting, and
equip the refractor. Next aim the beam to the right of the spiderbot and lead
it to the ramp on the wall. while leading the spiderbot up the ramp aim closer
to the spider, now just lead it to the picture of a spider and let the beam
hit it, the door should open.

It seems Al has been playing a Qwark vid-comic rather than repairing the
shields, but now it's fixed and you've got the comic.

Mission: Play the Qwark vid-comic
Try out your old school skills with a classic Qwark vid-comic. You'll need to
use the VG-9000 located in your quarters on the Phoenix to play it.
Completing the comic may bring Qwark back to his senses.

Return to your ship and fly back to the Phoenix.

04.2.05 - Starship Phoenix, Outer Space - vid-comic 1:

Head to the VG-9000, its near where we left Qwark.

Time to fight the robotic pirate ghosts. There's not much to say about this
vid-comic, it's a 2D platformer so head right, collecting all 100 Qwark tokens
will earn you a Titanium bolt. When you first see the giant-robotic-space-eel
you can ignore it, as it can't be hurt at this point anyway. At the boss (the
eel, this time with a boss health bar) shoot from a distance, or if you're
going for a record time, try punching instead.

Qwark gets his memory back and Sasha sends Ratchet and Clank out on another
Mission: Win the Tyhrraguise
Annihilation Nation is giving away a Tyhrraguise for defeating their
deathcourse. This gadget could come in handy in the fight against the
 Tyhrranoids.

04.2.06 - Annihilation Nation, Station Q9:

New weapons at Gadgetron vendor: Agents of Doom

It's a fairly simple obstacle course. You'll want to strafe around the laser
turrets. At the first set of stairs climb to the top then jump up to the ledge
next to them for a Titanium bolt. At the end of the course you'll get Qwark
vid-comic 2. The other Titanium bolt on this planet is only reachable on a
single obstacle course, it's visible, but ignore it for now.

After the obstacle course there's still a 10 round arena battle, the opponents
are fairly simple if you've been upgrading the weapons. After this battle you
get the Tyhrraguise. Sasha calls you to the Phoenix, the President put Qwark
in charge and he's having a team meeting.

Missions:
 Win all challenges (optional)
Annihilation Nation has more battles in store for you. Go back periodically
to compete in new challenges and win bolt prizes. Do as many as possible now
to get bolts for new weapons.
 Return to the Phoenix
The President has put Captain Qwark in charge of the galaxy's defences.
You'd better get back to the Phoenix as soon as possible for the first team
  meeting.
 Play vid-comic episode two
Arriba Amoeba! A mad scientist has loosed his single-celled creations upon
Blackwater City. Qwark must battle through hordes of these monsters and save
the city! Play well and you'll be paid cold hard bolts.

Completeable challenges:
Heat street (1st time reward vid-comic 2, second time 1,650 bolts)
Navigate a lethal obstacle course featuring fire traps, break away floors,
push blocks and killer robots. This is the generic description used in all
Annihilation obstacle courses, all future ones in the FAQ will just say
  "Obstacle".
Practice challenge (1st time reward Tyhrra-guise, second time 650b)
Face off against gladiators and win some bolts.
 Crispy critter (2,000b)
  Obstacle.
 Pyro playground (3,000b)
  Obstacle.
 Suicide run (4,000b)
  Obstacle.
 Robot Rampage (6,000b)
Floor traps, flame jets, and flying turrets oh my.
 Whip it good (3,000b)
Use only the plasma whip in this match. Friendly fire can be used to your
  advantage.
 Hydra'n go seek (3,000b)
Destroy all enemies using only the Spitting Hydra.
 90 seconds of carnage (3,000b)
Beat all the gladiators before the clock winds down.
 Onslaught (4,000b)
Beat even more gladiators before running out of time.
 The terrible two (4,000b)
Fight two gladiators for a big cash prize. Watch closely, when targets
appear on the ground get as far away as possible, stick to ranged weapons.
 Two minute warning (5,000b)
Beat Gary and Helen before time runs out.
 Championship bout (15,000b)
Cleave your way through the gladiators to a show down with Gary and Helen.
Challenge mode changes in each of 24 rounds so watch the icon in the lower
  left corner.

The modes of battle in the Annihilation Nation arena are:
Sleeping Gas - Ratchet is slowly drained of health during battle, any health
removed by the gas is returned after the gas rounds.
Single Weapon - You are restricted to one specified weapon.
Cycling Weapons - One of your weapons (excluding Wrench and Suck Cannon) is
chosen randomly and you must use only it until the indicator in the ammo
area hits zero and a new weapon is selected. Or until the mode ends.
 Don't take a hit - Can't be injured, not even a little.
Boss Battle - The Gary & Helen and Scorpio rounds.

Having completed most of the available challenges head back to the Phoenix.

04.2.07 - Starship Phoenix, Outer Space - First Q-Force meeting:

Captain Qwark has formed a team of experts, the Q-Force, the other members
were met earlier in this game or in RC1. In case you missed it, they are:
Captain Qwark, Skidd McMarxx, Big Al, Helga, Skrunch (the monkey), Sasha,
Ratchet and Clank. The first meeting details Qwark's brilliant plan: which
simplifies to Ratchet and Clank infiltrate the base and steal information.

Missions (priority order):
 Play vid-comic episode two
 Infiltrate the underwater base
Captain Qwark's brilliant plan calls for you and Clank to infiltrate
Nefarious' hideout. Follow the abandoned water circulation system to get in
  through a secret entrance.
Win all challenges (optional) - not yet possible

Head to the loungeroom to play the vid-comic. Comic 2 reveals Nefarious to
have been a humanoid, possibly Qwark's species. The events in this comic lead
to Nefarious' hatred of Qwark. Next head to Aquatos for your next mission.

04.2.08 - Deep Sea Hideout, Planet Aquatos:

Before arriving on the planet, the director of "Secret Agent Clank" requests
you head to the set. The heroes are busy, so they ignore him.

New weapons at Gadgetron vendor: Flux Riffle

On the way to the lift you'll see a Q-Force shuttle, ride the lift to meet up
with Skidd. He's brought his Hacker along so he'll be helping with the
mission by using the Hacker, and nothing else. If you have them, the Agents of
Doom and Infector are near useless on many parts of this planet, they don't
mix well with water/sewage. When there are bridges to extend, Skidd will
require you to kill nearby enemies. When swimming avoid the mines (second
water traversal). After each water traversal you'll meet a King Amoeboids,
watch out for their spit. They also contain sewer crystals, which are valuable
later. To best beat them stick to high powered projectiles, just about every
weapon works though.

At the second Hacker bridge drop down to find a Titanium Bolt. Another one is
in the second water traversal, enter the water and swim towards Skidd to find
it.

At the top of the lift Skidd freaks out and jumps on a teleporter. You come
across Slim, he'll sell you illegal Megacorp weapons, if you had them in RC2
they're free, currently available are the Lava Gun and Miniturret Glove.

Tip: turn on subtitles to see what Ratchet is saying in Tyhrranese in the next
cutscenes.

Mission: Find Nefarious' Office
You've infiltrated the hideout now its time to split up and search for
Nefarious' office Clank will infiltrate the upper level while Ratchet tries
to talk his way through with the Tyhrraguise.

If Clank takes a single hit from a laser he'll die so be very careful, buttons
far away can usually be reached by Skrunch, just shoot a banana there, he'll
also distract guards for you. When exploring as Ratchet don't use any weapons,
as this turns off the Tyhrraguise and guarantees your death. Gadgebots are
controlled by Triangle, if one dies, wait for it to respawn, Skrunch will be
left behind at the end of the level.

It seems Nefarious is a big fan of "Secret Agent Clank", more importantly you
found a star map. Jump down that pipe nearby into the sewers, there you'll
meet your old pal the plumber, he's looking for sewer crystals, and will pay
you 2,000 bolts for each one you find (they are worth 20,000 in challenge mode
but the crystals reset, so get them each playthrough). You've got 2 now so
hand them over, it's easier to get the crystals with the map-o-matic as they
are all shown and more than 40 are unreachable with out Gravity Boots, but by
all means grab the other 40 or so. If you get lost, head to a bridge and jump
off, you'll get back to where the plumber is. I find that the Rift Inducer
(available later) is the most useful weapon for wiping out the amoeboids in
the sewer.

Missions:
 Return to the Phoenix
Head to the Phoenix so Al can decode the Star Map.
 Gather all Sewer Crystals (optional)
The Waterworker is willing to pay for them. - Not currently possible
 Win all challenges (optional)

04.2.09 - Starship Phoenix, Outer Space - Tyhrranosis plan:

Nefarious learns of the Q-Force. Qwark reveals his new plan, again putting
Ratchet at risk.

Mission: Rendezvous on Tyhrranosis
The galactic rangers are expecting you at the Tyhrranoid base. Meet them on
 Planet Tyhrranosis.

New armour available: Adamantine Armour

04.2.10 - Korgon Base, Planet Tyhrranosis:

We see Ratchet and Clank jump for the ship and a new mission is listed:
 Take out the power generators.
If reinforcements are going to land you're going to have to take out the
power generators for the mortar launchers

Obviously first we have to reach the ground, there are more missiles than last
time, but follow the same basic method as last time to avoid them. The red
ones are heat seekers

New weapons at Gadgetron vendor: Annihilator

To complete this mission you have to make your way through the corridors,
destroy a few red, roundish, lumpy things on the ground and head outside.

Mission:
 Destroy the plasma cannon turrets
In order to get inside the Tyhrranoid base, you'll need to destroy the four
plasma cannon turrets so the dropship can blast open the entrance.

The dropship left you a turboslider with Skrunch as a gunner, head to the
right most green spot on the radar, it (another of those lumpy things) can be
destroyed by crashing into it. Head outside the building, around to the left
is a Titanium Bolt.

Follow the edge of the map (with it on your right) to the next path. At top of
the wall jump area turn around to see the Al Trophy, double jump and glide
over. Continue on to the target, then follow the cliffs to a Vendor, pass
through the caves behind it to reach a wall jump to the next target. The
final target is on some islands.

After the final target a door opens, enter it and fight the Tyhrrranoid boss.
Long range weapons (preferably the Annihilator if you can afford it or Lava
Gun V3 using the lock on) are best again, don't stop moving, when in Boss-eye
view throw some Miniturrets to do some damage for you.

After the boss is killed, Qwark takes the credit and you get two new missions:
 Destroy the encampment (optional).
This will earn you several bolts, and help you earn one of the large
  trophies.
 Return to the Phoenix.

Battle missions:
 Island Strike
Part 1: Assault on Kavu Island (8,000b)
The Ranger Base on Kavu Island is under attack by Tyhrranoids. Repulse the
enemy attack then lead a raid to capture a Hovership launch pad at the
centre of the island. It's another skydive and then a standard kill-or-die
   mission.
Part 2: Dogfight over Kavu Island (12,000b)
The Tyhrranoids have launched a massive air assault against the island. Use
the captured Hovership to drive back the enemy air fleet. Main targets are
   dropships.
  Part 3: Operation Thunderbolt (16,000b)
The Tyhrranoid base on Kavu island is protected by a force field. While the
rangers deactivate it use the hovership to wipe out nearby forces. Take out
   the Anti-Vehicle turrets first.
Part 4: The final battle (20,000b)
The rangers have deactivated the forcefield around the enemy base. Destroy
   the Tyhrranoids completely.

04.2.11 - Starship Phoenix, Outer Space - Gadget training:

Ratchet tells Sasha, Skidd and Clank about the latest battle but Laurence and
Dr. Nefarious interrupt and threaten them. Al traces the transmission to
planet Daxx.

Mission: Complete VR gadget training.
Helga is waiting by the VR room to train you in the use of your new gadgets.
 Better meet her there ASAP.
VR gadget training (Reward Hacker, Hypershot, Titanium Bolt)

Previously unreachable titanium bolts:
 Tyhrranosis - needed Hypershot
Follow the road to the left and enter the caves you'll come to a sharp turn
to the right, instead swing over to the titanium bolt.

04.2.12 - Research Facility, Planet Daxx:

Missions:
 Infiltrate the weapons facility
Daxx appears to be the planet where Dr Nefarious develops his diabolical
weapons. Infiltrate the main building using the Hacker and see what secrets
  you can uncover.
 Explore the docks
Nefarious' base is sure to be bristling with secrets. Check out the dock
area behind the main building to male sure you don't miss any.

The third, unlisted, mission is getting the charge boots. Follow the path on
the current island. The large robots are easier with the Annihilator, I didn't
have it so I used the Flux Riffle V3, after getting the boots jump over to the
ledge around to the right of this building to get the Plumber Trophy, now take
the Hypershot path and turn left.

Along this path are many powerful enemies, it may be useful to use some of
those blocks as shields against the robots. At the second Hacker puzzle turn
back to the nearby ledge on top is a button, press it and charge boot back to
the circular part of the building, follow the newly opened pathway to a
Titanium Bolt then return to the Hacker puzzle. Behind that door is very well
guarded (due to numbers) consider using the inferno crate one the left of the
centre path. Nefarious' super weapon, the biobliterator, is in the Obani Moon
system, however there's still more to do here, head to the docks, luckily
there's a teleporter in this room, go back along the Hypershot path but this
time turn right.

A large ship will shoot at you, it can't be hurt yet so just dodge the
missiles. At the end of the path buy the Annihilator if you haven't already,
you are about to have a boss battle with the warship. The best weapons for
this are the Annihilator, Nitro Launcher and anything with a lock-on mod
(see 03.1.1.1), don't shoot when the warship is warping, its a waste of ammo.

After defeating the ship swing over to the next building and watch Courtney
Gear's latest music video. It seems she's working with Dr Nefarious. She's
giving out prizes on Annihilation Nation, so that may provide an opportunity
to talk to her.

Missions (in priority order):
 Repair the satellite laser links
The satellites around the Obani Moons used to be connected by a series of
lasers. Reconnecting them may help in finding a way to the second moon.
 Meet with Courtney Gears
 Win all challenges (optional)
 Gather sewer crystals (optional)

For now, exit the other door of the building and look to the right follow this
path to a Titanium bolt then use the taxi to return to your ship. In the ship
you attempt to tell the Q-Force where you'll be, Skidd tags along.

04.2.13 - Obani Gemini, The Zygan System:

New weapons at Gadgetron vendor: Disc Blade Gun

The refractor will be aimed at satellites on this moon (except in the first
case) also look for a dynamo activator in the valley, use it then follow the
non-rock path over lava, then a rock one to a cave with a titanium bolt. The
jump points (circles with flashing arrows) will get you to the floating
islands. The aiming of projectile weaponry on these moons is poor, use beams
and melee weapons where possible. Another oddity of the moons is that the map
(R3/SELECT) is now 3D.

Mission: Explore the second moon
There's got to be a way to get to the third moon somewhere on this one.
Battle your way through enemy forces to find a way.

On the second moon use the first jump point to go to the top of the cliff to
your right and get a titanium bolt.

The third moon can't be reached, Skidd's going to try to break a lock with a
crowbar. Head to Blackwater city for the next mission:
 Save Blackwater City
Teleport over to your ship then head to Blackwater city to wipe out the
Tyhrranoids and earn some Gravity Boots.

04.2.14 - Blackwater City, Planet Rilgar:

Sky dive in and defend the base, use ledges as defence.
 Operation Black tide.
Part 1: The battle of Blackwater city (15,000b)
   Defend the ranger base.
  Part 2: The bridge (20,000b)
The Tyhrranoid attack has been stopped in its tracks. Now it's time to go
on the offensive. Lead a ranger squad to capture a bridge leading to the
   Tyhrranoid base.
Part 3: Counterattack (25,000b, Gravity Boots)
Capture the Tyhrranoid base and destroy all enemy forces in the area. This
challenge is the perfect opportunity to upgrade the Holo Shield Glove (V1
to V4) to V5, after blowing up the laser vehicles sit behind a ledge and
throw shields in the path of the turrets (one at a time per turret).

Missions:
 Meet with Courtney Gears.
Gather sewer crystals (optional) - all reachable.
Win all challenges (optional) - some weapons unavailable.

Previously unreachable titanium bolts:
 Marcadia - needed Gravity Boots
Go to the laser defence facility. In the 2nd room where a beam splits into
two, climb a gravity ramp near the unsplit portion of the beam and refract
the beam that's up there, then go back two rooms and climb another ramp,
refract, then climb down and enter the new doorway to get a titanium bolt.
Another is on a gravity ramp after the second laser splitting room, simply
  climb the ramp.

Head to Annihilation Nation.

04.2.15 - Annihilation Nation, Station Q9 - Meet Courtney Gears:

enemies using every weapon in your possession.
 One hit wonder (15,000b)
Destroy all opponents without taking a hit!
 Time to suck (8,000b)
Defeat all enemies using only the suck cannon.
 Naptime (10,000b)
Beat Scorpio before the Lombax Snooze Mist puts Ratchet to sleep!
 More cycling weapons (10,000)
Defeat Scorpio while Ratchet's weapon changes on it's own!
 Dodge the twins (20,000b)
Beat the twins without taking a hit.
 Chop chop (8,000b)
Eliminate all the gladiators using the Disc Blade Gun!
 Sleep inducer (8,000b)
Use the Rift Inducer to destroy all enemies while under the influence of the
  Lombax Snooze Mist.
 The Other White Meat (8,000b)
Use the Quack-o-ray to turn the enemies to ducks before time is up.
 Maze of blaze (8,000b)
Obstacle. This the first/only opportunity to reach a Titanium bolt, when
crossing a bridge with laser bots either side, jump up to the left one and
double jump and glide across to the Titanium Bolt.
 Cremation Station (10,000b)
  Obstacle.
 The Annihilator (12,000b)
  Obstacle.
 Championship Bout II (25,000b)
Fight through waves of gladiators in changing conditions to a match with
  Scorpio.
 Qwarktastic Battle (200,000b)
Test your mettle in the ultimate match only ever beaten by one man. Round 50
is Gary and Helen. Round 100 is Scorpio.

Missions:
 Play vid-comic Episode 3.
Shadow of the robot: Our hero chases Dr. Nefarious back to his robot factory
on planet magmos. Little does he know, however, that he is walking into a
trap! Play well and you'll be payed cold hard bolts.
Meet Courtney Gears at Holostar Studios.
Clank has promised Courtney Gears a role in his next movie in exchange for
some information on Dr Nefarious. Meet her at Holostar Studios to begin
  filming.
Gather sewer crystals (optional) - possible.
Win all challenges (optional) - new weapons needed.

04.2.16 - Starship Phoenix, Outer Space - vid-comic 3:

vid-comic three: Shadow of the robot.
Qwark infiltrates the robot factory in an attempt to defeat the organic
Nefarious. I tend to ignore most robots and only shoot at the tire launchers
and copters. You may, however, want to shoot the robots on the lift. Nefarious
apparently was in Qwark's biology class, where Qwark bullied him, for old
time sake Qwark attempts a wedgie but Nefarious falls into the robot making
machines.

04.2.17 - Lot 42, Holostar Studios:

Ratchet screws up a scene of Secret Agent Clank, gets fired and is replaced by
Skrunch. Clank continues filming, its a standard Clank mission, followed by a
Giant Clank mission. Reserve bombs for the boss on occasions when you
definitely will hit it.

Courtney paralyses Clank and takes him to Dr Nefarious, who requests Clank
switches sides. Meanwhile Tyhrranoids begin attacking Ratchet.

New weapons at Gadgetron vendor: Rift Inducer

The new 4-eyed Tyhrranoids aren't too much harder, just a few extra shots, and
a few more health lost if you get hit. The other change is that for now you'll
have to go without the use of the Thruster- and Heli- Packs.

Above and left of the lift activated by the Hacker is a ledge, jump up to get
the Clank Trophy. Straight after the lift, is a casino set, climb the seating
to the right to get a titanium bolt.

At the ship Clank fills Ratchet in on what he's been doing. Near the ship is
a gravity ramp, follow this to a series of other gravity ramps. On a
spiralling ramp drop to the ramp below, follow it to a titanium bolt, then
continue on the path to a Tyhrranoid drop tower. On top of it is a titanium
bolt, to reach the top; circle it on the way up. Then use the teleporter to
return to your ship.

Skidd gets kidnapped by Courtney Gears.

04.2.18 - Obani Draco, The Zygan System:

Avoid the flames and electricity in gravity ramp areas, sections with
horizontal rising liquid go down when it does (strafe).

We see Courtney turn Skidd into a robot, Clank seems uncharacteristically
indifferent, his eyes even turn red. Courtney wants to do the same to Ratchet,
instead they battle.

Courtney boss battle, take down her dancers, Courtney can be hit while in
cages so do it then rather than struggle while she's trying to kick you. Use
Disc Blade Gun, N60 Storm and Lava Gun.

Mission:
 Go to the Zeldrin Starport
Nefarious' Starship is currently docked at a starport in the Joreal Nebula.
He may still be on board, if you hurry there.

04.2.19 - Joreal Nebula, Zeldrin Starport:

Missions:
 Rendezvous with Qwark
Captain Qwark should be at the shuttle to the Starship waiting for you, meet
him there and the two of you can storm the ship together.

The first mission is an unlisted one, Qwark is left, we're going straight
ahead to get a bolt grabber V2. On the way a titanium bolt can be found in
the first building, destroy the second ship on the right and the wall to its
right to find it. Another is on a ledge in a similar position after Hypershot
target number 2, double jump from the ledge under the cogs to reach it.

After getting the bolt grabber V2 use the teleporter underneath it to return
to your ship, then meet up with Qwark and Skrunch. After they have an
argument the four of you can head to the ship. On board it's suspiciously
quiet and Clank says something about a message.

Mission:
 Find Nefarious.
Intelligence indicates that Nefarious is aboard this ship, find him!

Simple enough, head in a near straight line breaking all boxes and killing
enemies. After being found, Nefarious activates the selfdestruct, he and
Lawrence teleport, Qwark goes for something important, while Ratchet and Clank
run to safety (there's one minute) don't stop moving or break any crates and
you'll make it.

Ratchet and Skrunch want to wait for Qwark, but Clank launches the shuttle.
Qwark dies in the explosion.

04.2.20 - Starship Phoenix, Outer Space - Mission debriefing:

The remaining Q-Force has a funeral service, the president sends condolences,
Al gives Ratchet Qwark's vid-comic #4.

Missions:
 Play all Qwark vid-comics
You might be able to get some clues on Nefarious' plans from the Captain
Qwark vid-comics. Head over to your quarters on the phoenix and play as many
  as you can.
 Play vid-comic episode four
Deja Q all over again: Dr Nefarious launches an attack against the city of
Metropolis in an attempt to extract vengeance.

These two missions should be equivalents to each other because you should have
played comics 1, 2 and 3 already. Go ahead and play comic 4.

While Qwark is on the fitness course, Nefarious releases robotic insects
through the city. When fighting Nefarious, use the wall kick move to dodge him
and his clouds.

It seems likely that Nefarious will be attacking Metropolis, so that's where
we're headed.

New armour available: Aegis Mark V Armour

Mission:
 Fly to Metropolis
In the vid-comic you saw Nefarious swear revenge against Metropolis. Now
that Qwark's out of the picture, there won't be anyone to stop him, except
  you!

04.2.21 - Metropolis, Planet Kerwan:

It seems that Nefarious has been holding Clank captive since Holostar Studios,
Ratchet and Klunk must find Nefarious.

In the first building go through the left window, head straight to get a
titanium bolt or exit the second buildings left window to get to a teleporter
pad. This activates between 3 and 4am and goes to the Insomniac Museum
(section 04.7).

Outside the window behind the second vendor is a Skrunch trophy. When exiting
this building, Nefarious, after technical difficulties, activates the
biobliterator. Note that the tank that comes around the corner's missiles are
not stopped by the miniature gardens. Another titanium bolt is along the ledge
to the right of where two four-eyed 'noids and a dropship begin attacking.

At the end of the path Ratchet realises that Klunk isn't Clank after seeing
Clank in a cage. Nefarious and Lawrence teleport away. Ratchet must defeat
Giant Klunk and save Clank. Tactics: use Lava Gun if Klunk is at the back of
the train, otherwise use Annihilator + Disc Blade Gun.

Missions in order to complete:
Destroy the robotic Tyhrranoid forces (optional)
The robotic Tyhrranoids have reinforcements throughout Metropolis. Take them
out and get paid in bolts, and earn a Map-o-matic.
 Gather sewer crystals (optional)
All are reachable and with the Map-o-matic they are shown on the map.
 Return to the Phoenix
Now that you know more about Nefarious' plot, you should head back to the
Phoenix. The Q-Force might have some advice for you.
 Win all challenges (optional)
One required weapon is still unavailable.

Battle Missions:
 Urban storm
  Part 1: Countdown (10,000b)
Use the hovership to destroy the bombs before the clock hits 0. There's a
titanium bolt on the gravity ramp leading to the building to the east, to
get it fly up and down around it.
  Part 2: Urban combat (35,000b)
Skydive in and blast any Tyhrranoid attackers.
  Part 3: Tower Attack (20,000b)
The Tyhrranoids are now in 4 towers only, wipe them out with the Hovership.
Watch out for anti-vehicle turrets in the square topped towers.
  Part 4: Air Superiority (15,000b)
Wipe out the dropships using the Hovership.
  Part 5: Turret Command (20,000b, Map-o-matic)
Use a turret to wipe out the last of the Tyhrranoid ships.

04.2.22 - Deep Sea Hideout, Planet Aquatos - Crystals and Bolts:

Instead of going straight to the sewers, take the path you followed the first
time you were here, in the room after the first bridge the left wall has a
Hacker puzzle Skidd missed, complete it and use the lift to get a titanium
bolt. Head to the sewers using the sub near your ship. The Crystals are all
shown on the map, some are so close to vendors that the G covers them. There
are two titanium bolts in the sewers, one is in the northern most pipe, the
other is reachable by using the teleporter on the western bridge and then
using the Hypershot targets behind you to swing to it.

After handing over the last crystal, the plumber once again mentions the
possibility of a future meeting.

04.2.23 - Starship Phoenix, Outer Space - Looking for something:

The last hope is a long shot, Ratchet will head to the crash site to try to
find whatever Qwark was looking for.

Mission:
 Fly to planet Zeldrin
Nefarious' Starship went down over planet Zeldrin, Before the ship blew up,
Qwark said he saw something important. Maybe you can find it in the
  wreckage.

04.2.24 - Crash Site, Planet Zeldrin:

The weapons you have with lock on mods (see 03.1.1.1), especially the
Annihilator, are good for the larger robots, rifts can handle everything else.
Follow the gravity ramp down from your ship to get a titanium bolt. Climb the
first raised area on the right to get the Dr Nefarious Trophy.

When you reach the lift don't ride it, instead, look for another hole in the
base of the ship, use your Hypershot and follow the path to a Nano-pak. Then
head back to the lift.

Ratchet, Clank and, apparently, Skrunch reach the escape pod Qwark used. Qwark
is alive and missing but the item he retrieved is still here.

Mission:
Take data disk to Big Al
You need to take the data disk you found to Al and have him decrypt it. He's
in your quarters running tests on Skidd.

Take the nearby Hypershot platforms then climb to the zip line to the ship.
Back at the ship the Galactic Rangers request your help on Aridia.

04.2.25 - Outpost X12, Planet Aridia:

New weapons at Gadgetron vendor: Quack-o-ray

Battle Missions:
 Operation Death Valley
Part 1: The tunnels of Outpost X12 (10,000b)
Tyhrranoids are attacking the ranger base at Outpost X12, defend the base
and clear the tunnels of enemy troops.
Part 2: Ambush in red rock valley (15,000b)
The rangers are pinned down in Red Rock valley. Help them escape the trap
using the Hovership. The enemy point of approach shifts anti-clockwise.
  Part 3: Assassination (20,000b)
The Tyhrranoids are led by 4-eyed commanders, eliminate them (turboslider
available). Use the gravity ramp underneath the large bridge to get a
   titanium bolt.
Part 4: Reclaim the valley (25,000b)
Activate the four turrets using the bolt cranks to secure the area
(Turboslider available).  Destroy the missile launchers first (Flux Riffle
   recommended).
  Part 5: X12 endgame (30,000b, Warp Pad)
Push through the tunnels and wipe out all ground forces and turrets. During
this mission use the gravity ramp to the right and head around to the back
of the base for a titanium bolt. If you followed this FAQ fully, you'll now
receive the Friend of the Rangers Trophy, if not you must have missed a
   ranger mission.

You are now able to return to Annihilation Nation and complete the rest of the
challenges with the newly available weapons, go finish them and you'll receive
the Annihilation Nation Champion Trophy.

04.2.26 - Starship Phoenix, Outer Space - vid-comic 5:

Al says that the biobliteration of Skidd is reversible, he takes the data disc
and gives you vid-comic 5.

Mission:
 Play vid-comic episode five
Everyone knows only four episodes were made in the Dr Nefarious series of
Captain Qwark comics. However you have episode five in your possession, who
knows what secrets it might reveal.

Qwark has a hideout on the Thran asteroid belt, Ratchet, Clank and Skrunch are
going to explore it.

Mission:
 Find Captain Qwark
Hunt through the remains of Qwark's icy fortress and see if you can find
  him.

04.2.27  - Qwark's Hideout, Thran Asteroid Belt:

New at Slim's: Bouncer

The Bouncer is now available from Slim. If you can afford it go to Aquatos
and teleport over, its great against Qwarkbots. Also in this level are laser
turrets, the only thing good against them is the refractor.

There's a staircase nearby, you should follow it. At the corner before the
first Lawn Ninjas drop down to a titanium bolt. Head back along the path, at
the end of which you can buy the Gadgetron PDA for 250,000 bolts. The
Crotchitizers and Hygienator on display are not for sale, not that they'd be
useful.

The first warp pad is on a lift, stay on the button until it reaches the top,
then warp. After a pair of swing targets, a green area on your map indicates
"Snow Dan"'s location to get there jump to the wall (no gliding) and wall jump
up. Break it for a skill point.

Near a swarm of Qwark bots where a door drops down head to the left path
before the doorway to get a Qwark Trophy. When fighting Lawn Ninjas as Clank
be sure to use gadgebots for help and Skrunch to distract them.

You find Qwark, it turns out he's a coward, head to your ship. The Phoenix is
under attack, your mission is to get to the bridge and destroy the invaders.

04.2.28 - Starship Phoenix, Outer Space - Under attack:

During this attack the vid-comics, VR Deck and Trophy Room unavailable. The
transport you usually take is broken so you have to take an alternate route,
climb down some stairs to the clearing and use the Hypershot to cross the path
to the right. A refractor target is behind some crates. The giant robot can be
taken out by one shot of the Bouncer, other weapons work, but not as fast.

Al has decrypted the data disc, the biobliterator is re-charging on Koros,
its next target is Veldin, go destroy it.

04.2.29 - Nefarious BFG, Planet Koros:

Mission:
 Get inside command centre
Clank has said he could take control of the big gun if you can get him
inside the command centre. Fight through the city and make it to the
  entrance.

New at Slim's: Plasma Coil
If you've got the bolts go get it, he's still on Aquatos.

As always the best weapons to use are the ones that just became available,
those giant robots still need the Bouncer. After the second giant robot climb
up the blocks and do a Hyper strike to break the glass of the building next to
you, enter the room to get a Courtney Gears Trophy, then jump down to the
right of the fence to get a titanium bolt. Back up the stairs the building to
the left of the giant robot has a ladder on the far left side, climb in to
another titanium bolt.

Inside the building is a large quantity of enemies, including dropships, so
max out your ammo at the nearby vendor.

Clank destroys the biobliterator with the BFG, Sasha calls to say there's a
second biobliterator on Mylon and its more powerful.

Mission:
Battle your way to the launch site
Dr Nefarious must be here somewhere. Battle your way through his defences
  and confront him.

New armour available on Phoenix: Infernox Armour

04.2.30 - Command Centre, Planet Mylon:

New at Slim's: Shield Charger

On this level it's recommended that you use the Flux Riffle where ever
possible. After convincing a Tyhrranoid to raise a lift, drop over the force
field to your left to get a titanium bolt. After a Hypershot platform go to
the top of a small hill, to the left of a small breakable barrier is a ladder,
climb it to the Lawrence Trophy.

You ride the drop ship to the launch site and then skydive into battle with
Nefarious, again the newer weapons are best. About a third of the way through
Nefarious' health he fakes defeat and escapes. Chase him and defeat several
robots, including some giant robots, on the way (You may also notice some
Klunk prototypes on the ground, they make good shields). During battle use the
plasma coil and anything with a lock-on mod (see 03.1.1.1) to allow you to
circle him and evade most attacks.

Defeated, Nefarious calls in Lawrence, they teleport into the biobliterator
and it transforms into a gigantic robot. Qwark flies in to "help". Fly the
nearby hovership dodging the missiles, while shooting the biobliterator. If
the Hovership hits 0 health push Triangle to get out, you'll land near the
Turboslider. Drive around the track to find a new Hovership.

After the biobliterator is defeated, Nefarious fails to specify a destination
for the teleporter, so he and Lawrence are inside when the biobliterator
explodes.

The Q-Force, including a non-robotic Skidd, and other stars of the Ratchet and
Clank games attend a screening of the new Secret Agent Clank movie. Credits
roll.

Lawrence and Nefarious are stuck on an asteroid, probably for the next
5-10,000 years.

04.2.31 - Challenge Mode:

You now have access to challenge mode. To get 100% completion you must enter
this mode, a few new features are available and bolt prizes are far larger.
There are 2 or 3 floor trophies (section 04.5) that you won't have if you
followed this guide. The first is for getting all skill points (section 04.3),
another is for reaching the challenge mode maximum nanotech (200). The last is
for getting all weapons to Omega, which is only possible in challenge mode,
this means spending bolts on the newly available Mega weapons then getting
them to level 8, the RY3NO is also available but is not counted towards the
Omega Arsenal Trophy*, so buy it last, upgrading the RY3NO to level 5 will
play a special help message if they are turned on, so there's still reason to
get it.

*Buying it before getting the trophy means that it will have to reach level 5
to receive the trophy.

One new feature is the bolt multiplier, which increases bolt pickup. It maxes
out at 20, but the number is doubled while under the influence of a jackpot
crate making the maximum 40 temporarily.

In challenge mode any ship/armour upgrades remain, you'll also keep the
following: PDA, weapons, Map-o-matic, Nano-pak, Bolt Grabber V2, Charge Boots,
bolts, titanium bolts, skins, skill points, trophies, Gadgetron discount.

New weapons at Gadgetron vendors: Mega weapons, RY3NO

Vendor tip: instead of maxing out your ammo select an individual weapon
needing ammo (excluding Holo Shield Glove and Shield Charger) and press
square to test them, then quit the challenge. Will not refill Shield Charger.

If you visit the bridge while the Q-Force is there you can hear them talking.
After Qwark leaves the Phoenix, go to his photo and press triangle to read an
inscription.

Collecting all of the trophies (04.5) will unlock the door behind the trophy
room, inside is a teleporter to the Insomniac Museum. There's another on
Metropolis, in the first building go through the left window, then exit the
second buildings left window to get to the teleporter pad, this activates
between 3 and 4am by the PS2 internal clock, you can easily adjust this
temporarily. You'll want the Hacker with you when you get there.

Museum Highlights:
Florana Turboslider Raceway - take path behind ship to turboslider prototype
  and press Triangle.
Hacker puzzles - win bolts, design your own - near turbo slider.
Vid-comic room - play uncut and prototype comics - force fielded room near
ship - use Hacker on second door.
Tank room - teleporter in cubicle opposite vid-comic room.
Plasma Whip Chain Blade - next cubicle across from above.
Cancelled enemies - two cubicles away from Chain Blade.
"Bombs away" set - teleporter in cubicle opposite door.
Edit effects - cubicle opposite other door.
"Pirate vs. Ninja" set - follow ledge around to the right outside of the
building to a teleporter. Looking out from the set you'll see an "R" cube,
the "R" itself is used for texturing, while the cube itself was used by Tony
Garcia, one of the developers, as a place to put Ratchet while testing
  "Pirate vs. Ninja".
Also in the museum are character animations for cancelled/altered enemies and
vehicles and pictures of Hank and Dan.

There are also two codes revealed on two of the computer screens on the desks
in the museum, these can be used by pressing Square at the vid-comic selection
screen on the Phoenix, they are ("_" indicates blank):
"_MEGHAN_" cursor on last blank.
Activates "Pirate vs. Ninja" a two player game in which a pirate and ninja
 fight to the death.
"YING_TZU" cursor on blank - NTSC only.
Activates "Bombs away" a four player game using Ratchet, Jungle Qwark, a Thug
and a robot as the main characters, attempting to blow each other up with
 bombs.

I have made a map of the Museum and placed it on GameFAQs to provide better
understanding of these, and other exhibits' positions.

05 - Multiplayer (very brief):

The Multiplayer feature of UYA can have 2 - 4 players offline or 2 - 8 online.
Online will require a network adaptor and offline with 3 or 4 players requires
a multitap. Which ever method you choose, a selection of weapons and gadgets
(03.1.4) are available. There are three gameplay modes:

Capture the flag: requires you to retrieve a number of enemy flags from their
base and return them to your own, while preventing them from doing the same.

Deathmatch: Kill a set number of enemy players.

Siege: Destroy the enemy base defences, then teleport inside to destroy the
power core.

On the map are nodes, captured with bolt cranks, which provide new weapons,
vehicles and spawn points.

05.1 - Multiplayer Skins:

There are several skins to choose from and if you visit
http://www.insomniacgames.com/community.php you can gain access to two extra
ones. The new skins are Dan (Insomniac staff) and Dr Nefarious. The codes are
entered into the user profile in game, while holding L2. The community user
name must match the one on the profile. To use these skins in local play you
must first go to the "Edit Profiles" option to load the profiles with new
skins from the memory card. If you can't get a name that matches, temporarily
change your profile name while entering the codes.

List of skins, starting from Ratchet, scrolling to the right:

The Hologuise is the requirement for the GED as the CEO of Gadgetron says
the following prior to giving you the Hologuise "...you have to be with the
company for two years before the employee discount kicks in. However, I can
let you have this." Note that RC1 was released two years before UYA. For
the free weapons, if you can't get them free, you may also need to upgrade
   the weapon in RC2 further.

Q: What would I get in future games if I have completed this game?

A: Ratchet: Deadlocked gives you nothing, check any other future games' FAQs
for details, assuming more of the series is made.

Q: How do I get to the alternate route to the bridge on the Starship Phoenix?

A: The alternate route is only available during your mission on the Phoenix
(04.2.28) after visiting Qwark's Hideout near the end of the game, at this
time the regular transport is broken and you have to fight enemies. You'll
pass through where the transport usually is and climb down some stairs to a
clearing, to the right is a small path - this is the alternate route.
