The purpose or intention of writing this FAQ (okay, I think it's already
obvious) is to help people and gamers in beating those bosses or enemies that
was found hard by them. This will likely solve common problems that give you
headaches on how to defeat them; by level, by tactics, or by your weapons and
armors?

This section will tackle on how to beat enemies and bosses which most players
having problems pounding them. You could also ask me to add enemies or AI in
the game into this FAQ and create a tactics like how to beat them :) An
example of this is Elwen. She's not a boss but you need to beat her to be able
to use her as your friend.

The Boss section was split into 3 sub-sections, human side, non-human side and
the bonus dungeon I made this because things would be different after you
choose on which side you joined.

*Notes*
- I will not include enemies in the Boss FAQ that cannot be defeated.
- ASAP, buy a Training Device which gives you 25% exp up. Trust me it will
help you. It costs 50,000 dagols and can be bought at the General store
near the Heliforde Gate, in Olacion.
- As for the party, accessories and skills it's really up to you which you
like to have with as it's completely in your hands on how to beat them.

2.2. Things to Remember | BF_2BS_2TR
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Here are some tips to use while fighting a tough opponent just in front of YOU:

1) Okay, this is the MOST IMPORTANT THING in the game so keep this in your
mind. DON'T LET JACK DIE!!! If Jack dies, you're game over!!!
2) Always be ready all the time! The game doesn't show some save points as a
safety measure that there is an upcoming boss. You will just know it when
you're GAME OVER already. So be ready all the time.
3) Stock up items! You don't know what will happen in the future. In the
beginning, it would be not too bad if you have at least 20 Herb Extract and
some Celestial Nectar. Curing items would be good as well.
3) To avoid getting hit by a volty blast (except when you're only alone), let
your teammates handle the rest. Just run away the rumble and you'll be fine.
The Volty Blast would only affect the target not the whole party, so if you
keep away from the boss you will never get hit by the attack but instead
your teammate does.
4) Use command sometimes. It would be good to use command such as Cure Friend
or Life Song to save the party. It can cost a lot of volty points but using
Save Volty will really SAVE your volty :) It can be learn from Curtis in
human side and Gobrey or Golly (not sure) in the non-human side.
5) If you can't defeat an enemy you might lack level ups. It's easy to level
up in this game and in less than 45 minutes you can be level 50 or more!!!
Here's the trick (it's widely known), use the dummy in Theater Vancoor on
the 2F. Equip either spear or axe. Beat everything up to the Training No.19.
With this, equip a training device or 2 then fight as much as your desired
level.
6) According to NeonTwilight:

-Cool. Well this is a pretty good strategy that should work on most enemies.
It's basically a knockdown and quick attack strategy. It won't allow the enemy
to attack you and it's a slow and simple way to defeat the enemy. 1 Handed-
sword - Upper Slash, Right Slash. Knock the opponent in the air and then slash
immediately to do extra damage. Slow but effective.

-I found it a nice strategy. It would be better if you attack from behind with
the weapon skill (better if you have chained other combo before the Upper
Slash) to deal more damage on the enemy.
-Another good technique is to attack from your enemy's side or back then run
around delivering attacks. This works especially on monsters or opponents that
use magic as their main attack.

7) Defend and counter. It is one of the efficient ways to beat down a hard
opponent. Take note that a little time after you counter), you will NOT take
damage from any attacks. Good, huh?

8) Here's the NEW thing I've discover lately. The more hits you've done before
you use Volty Blast, the more damage you take execute. Proof: When I fought
the water dragon in the Dragon Lair Cave, I used attack link and kept attacking
I got 99 hits with Gil, JJ and Ganz with my party having my Arbitrator. Then
I used a Volty Blast giving Kelvin around 3600 damage!!! Larger than the
Ancient Axe which only deals 2800 damage without high hit combo.

So the tip is...try getting a high combo before you Volty Blast to deal more
damage to the enemy.

According to some people in the board, 1 hit gives you 1% increase in attack.
Just remember that when you get knockdown or the attack is idle for a long time
the hit meter will go back to 0.

some of its attack can confuse you or even worse, petrify you.

boss battle. There are 2 of them so be ready. It's not easy as you
think.

Tactics: This one is hard so prepare. If you found yourself dead try to level
up first then come back. They usually use the spin move that deals
80+ damage so ouch if you're hp is low and they have descent hp. You
are now a sergeant by this time so you've already learned some links.
Probably, you need to learn the 100t body or complete defense. 100t
body can be learned by linking with Jill and the complete defense by
Grant. It helps you not to get knockdown. Just guard when you see
their attacking stance to avoid getting killer damages. Heal often!

Description: This boss is during the Stone of Miracles Mission. Follow the path

It doesn't mean game over but since I was defeated I didn't got the

volty blast that means your dead (not game over I mean) even you have
2000+ hp!!!

If you want to win read this, he's a little pushover and will use his
volty blast early in the battle. But he will lock the target on you
so there's no escape. The best way to avoid it is to keep using
volty attacks (SQUARE) to repel his volty.

Tactics: Well, this is a hard battle. Of course, it's the final boss or else...
He has some sort of powerful attacks. His evasion rate is high so
you will miss most of the time. He also has the skill auto-cure that
adds his hp by 10/sec. so idling too long is not a good thing.

Start the battle using Volty Blast or keep attacking until you got.
The best way not to take damages is to run around his back and punish
him there. His damage would range from 100-250+ so keep away from it!
Whenever he flip/cover his wings on his body, run around to its back
to prevent being hit by its (break parry, 200+ dam.) attack. If you
guard it, as noted, you will get a break parry causing around 50 dam.
It's better to take no damage.

Some people are asking how to beat this guy; often you're under level
that's why you had a hard time kicking his butt. Try leveling up first
before fighting him. Around 60 should be fine.

Okay, this time after beating the game, wait until the credits end then when
asked to overwrite your save, choose yes. Load and choose continue. Then go
onto any Journey Pig Statue and examine. This reveals the Dragon lair Cave
located on the upper-right part of the map.

After entering, Jack will introduce the dungeon or maybe someone else. Killing
and going back to Jack's House to save is one way to be sure that you wouldn't
lose any of your progress in it. I know that's very bad to backtrack all the
way but that's the truth.

Being on human side or non-human side is not a problem, you know. I prefer
using Elwen, Nyx, Valkyrie or Kain in your party. For the non-humans, Galvados,
JJ, Gil or Valkyrie in your party. I suggest after getting Valkyrie put her
right away in your party. Her attacks are good, affliction attacks and his high
formidable hp.

Tactics: This is the easiest boss I've ever met in my life. You could finish
this battle without getting hit. Just use attack link as the battle
start. Don't use volty blast keep it until you reach 99 hits in the
combo counter. Keep attacking and attacking. Kelvin can't move or
attack anymore. And when you reach 99 hits, break the line and use
your volty blast with full power to deal around 4000! A great
alternative is to use save volty before using a volty to avoid your
VP reaching zero and then create an attack link again. The battle will
end after using the tactic 3-5 times. Eventually, the battle takes
faster or slower depending the overall attack of your party.

Tactics: Maybe you want to question why I don't recommend Ancient Axe? Because
it's slow and its attacking range is very short so it's not an ideal
weapon when fighting Cepheid.

Like in Wind Valley (Human Side), you need to beat him 2 times. Same
Hp and stats in both forms but different skills.

1st form - he's outreach with your attacks and same with your
teammates. Start by using Volty Blast equip with Ancient Axe and Full
Power skill to bring his Hp somewhere at 5000. Now, all you have to do
is to follow him around and keep attacking with your Falvern or
Arbitrator. Arbitrator would be better because of its swift strikes.
Guard when you see he moves his arms because he will use a tornado or
a wind breathe to blow you away. The good thing is that his attacks
rounds from 50-100 only.

2nd form - well you can reach him now. Just use attack link and line
break when your hp is around 800 to heal and then link again. Use
volty blast whenever you reach 100 VP.

Tactics: Well, another hardthrob enemy. Yeah he's the first one to give me a
game over screen. Wanna know why? Nah, don't bother it was an
accident. Don't small flat things or Jack will get flat! Guard and
attack is useful here. Except blaze and bind, you should fear confuse.
It was the thing that...oooopps, almost slip!!! Equipping Prevent
Confuse as your skill will save your life. Bringing Cleansing Stone
or Sage is a very good thing.

Start by using Volty Blast right away with ancient axe. His attacks
are unpredictable and when you get hit, take 150-300 dam. From it!
He starts to jump and cause status affect to everyone it hits.
Guarding would prevent you from knocking down and less damage but
would not prevent getting affected by the affliction. It's either
blaze, bind or confuse. If you get blaze, use sage or cooling spray.
If you get bind, just shake the left analog stick to repel it. If
you get confuse, it's either you get hit, wait until it's gone or
you get die. Pressing double X (back step) would be good to evade.
Just remember: Volty, Attack, Heal Often, and Guard (VAHOG).

wonderful-swift-good-looking-majestic blows, you want to pummel him
now because the other 3 (one maybe you) are open to attack Cairn.
He's vulnerable to any attack that time.

nice to you if you're not ready what she will do to you. Be ready to
have plenty flexibility lotion or sage for the petrify or paralyze
stuff. You will know if she will use it if she charges up her bow.
Yeah, only her bow can inflict status effect and the other 3 are just
normal. It takes 2-3 seconds before she unleash so you have a chance
to avoid it. If one of your friends get petrified, just heal them with
sage or lotion. Heal often and this battle will end in no time.

all of the time so stay with a combo that can break parry on what

Tactics: Here are some tactical suggestion given by our brothers and sisters:

-When she says "Too hot for you?" Run! Once she gets down to 12,000 hp and
below, get to the edge of screen, and DO NOT attack her, she uses the
Armageddon attack around 4 times a minute that can kill you easily. Once you
get your Volty up, use you're volty. DO NOT GO TO THE MIDDLE OF THE ARENA!
That's where most of the huge spots where Armageddon appear. Bring lots of
Herb Extract MAX's with you, and a few revival stone. Get your characters
to level 85+.

Own explanation:
-I'm not sure about "TOO HOT FOR YOU" cause I know if she says that, she will
start to cast flaming stones around her which explodes around 3 meters from
her. It deals 300+ (she throws around 20) but only 30+ when guarded. For the
Armageddon or the white explosions, it cause 700-1000+ that can easily kill
your character with just 2-3 hits. Guarding would give you 100+ damage but
your friends are too stupid to guard. Even Valkyrie can die in just 30 seconds
with this attack *sobs*. I suggest using guard link with Fierce Defense to
replenish its damages and to avoid getting your party killed. Staying on the
edge of the screen would be the best strategy to avoid this attack if you
don't have enough VP to use guard link. If your party gets killed, revive them
with Celestial Nectars and use Revival Stone or Herb Extract Max.
-Whenever you reach 1500hp or less, heal it immediately.
-Here's a very nice strategy too posted by an unknown person (I forgot sorry),
it's not that too expensive, not painful and less item to use. I tried it
myself and it work but I still met some problem. Here it goes:

+Having Elwen/Nyx/Kain/Valkyrie/Curtis for human side
+Having Gruel/Galvados/JJ/Valkyrie/Gil for the non-human side
+I prefer Elwen (day)/ Nyx (night), Kain for Auto-Cure, Valkyrie for Absorb HP
+I prefer Galvados/JJ for high HP, Valkyrie (she's pretty, lucky charm :)) and
Gil for good attacks

Q2: What can I get after beating Ethereal Queen?
A2: Okay, I will just put its name but not its function. It might spoil you :)

Q3: Valkyrie? Ethereal Queen? Where are they?
A3: They can be found in the dungeon called Dragon Lair Cave. Unlocked by
beating the game once and WAITING until the credit ends. Save the file with
a STAR. Load. Choose CONTINUE. Go to any Journey Pig Statues, then warp to
the dungeon located at the upper-right corner of the map.

Q4: What are some benefits in New Game+?
A4. Well, you're much stronger :) Joke!!! Anyway, that's true. Here are the
things that I know you would retain or get in new game+:

+ Consumable items such as Tsuchinoko Dumplings, berries, herb extracts, etc.
+ ONE Training Device
+ ONE Feather Earring
+ All your skills and links
+ All your weapon techniques
+ New characters (depends on what side you will choose the next time)
+ A picture of a trio (goblins?) just find out. Only obtainable after
recruiting and having all 177 characters on your friend list.
+ Level and weapons and armors are vanished :(
+ All friends and commands are gone!!! Don't worry about the friends, they're
still on your friend list but you need to recruit them again to use them.

Q5. How can I beat Elwen?
A5. Look at the boss section. I've got a plenty of strategies from different
player and my very own, too.

Q6. Is it possible to beat Ridley in the Knight Selection?
A6. Simple. No. Explanation, use an analysis ball and you will know why :)

Q7. Can I possibly beat Gerald in the audition in Theatre Vancoor?
Q7. Just like Ridley, no.

Q8. Where's the Dead End Armory?
A8. It's inside the Beast Pit in the Void Community. Just run through the
Vareth Institute Door going right.

Okay, I'm going to the point. Some people just keep sending me spams in my
