Greetings to all One Piece Lovers *cough* I mean Fans! I decided to
compile all the FAQs and Guides together from all of my previous post in
the GameFAQs One Piece: GB!3 message board.
I'm really a big big fans of One Piece and I started reading the manga in
the year 1999. I love the manga so I decided to buy the game, I didn't get
the chance to play OPGB! 1 though.. But thank god I saw OPBG! 2 in my
local game store!! I think it was on the year 2002 that I bought my first
copy of OPGB! 2. Back then, unlocking the Training Stage (a.k.a Marine HQ)
was a pain, you have to do 100 counts of blocking the anchor..!! Q__Q;
By the way, do enjoy yourself!!
CiaO!!

it or just another anime game only a fan could appreciate?
Any persuasive details?
A: If you're very very crazy about One Piece, THEN GO and BUY the GAME!!
If you've played OPGB2, then theres no harm in buying the sequel, both
are great in their different ways!

A: You can add more damage to the move if your life bar is in critical or lower
than the opponent's life bar.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do I save?
A: Go to options (the hammer animations) and select the 3rd choice,
then select the 1st command you see and confirm it by choosing the
"yes" option (the 1st choice) Dont quite understand? Then check out
>> 03. Main Menu Screen << for more info!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: I dont quite get the Training Mode?
A: In training mode, you must perform all the character's Movelist!
In other words, you must attack your opponent with your attacks
(i.e O->O->O, X->X->X, X->X->O and etc..)
Check >> 04. General Movelist << for more info!
You can check your progress by pressing start and selecting the first
option, there you'll see your character move-list, if you successfully
"OK'ed" a move, it would highlight it in red!
You'll know when you've successfully performed all movelist when a
"COMPLETE" message appears along with the time!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Why isn't some of the move "OK'ed"?

Sanji: Same like 3rd costume only in white color!
Robin: Same like the above..
FYI, Shanks's 3rd costume is from his days back in Luffy's town and
the 4th one is a color swap of the 3rd. Wiper is the only character
that just have a 3rd costume, his 3rd costume are from his childhood
days with a bandana on his head!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: How do I unlock the announcer voice?
A: Check the >> 08. The 45 Announcers Voice << for more info!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: For Game Cube, you have to have a memory card formatted for
Japanese games. Is it the same with PS2 imports? Not a whole ton of
sense in getting the game if I can't save.
A: Ps2 mem card is different from the Gc ones because you can use the
same ps2 mem card to save all of your game files, Japanese import, PAL
and NA version together in just one card!!
FYI, you must have a fliptop and a swap disk to enable you to by-pass
the region check on the DVD game so that it can run on a NA/PAL ver.
If you want, you can even put mod-chip to your PS2 (it allows you to
play imports and back-up games..)
Just google for the info on the fliptop, swap disk (freeloader)
or mod-chip.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Is there any difference between the GC and PS2 Versions?
A: So far, I know that the GC ver. have a "Joy Carry" option which situated
in the Treasure menu. It allows the user to download the upcoming One
Piece Baseball game to the GBA. Its just a demo though, with only Luffy
and Enel are playable.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Can you convert the PS2 buttons to the GC ones?
A: Yes!
PS2 GC
--- --
X = A
Circle = X
Square = B
Triangle = Y
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Why do you call the L1(holds)->X->Triangle move a Lv.1 super special?
A: I call it Lv.1 because it only uses 1 bar of your power gauge, and
Super Special for its winning star (on the stage card) with a double Star,
same like the Lv.2 Special winning star symbols

Author's Tips
+++++++++++++
When you throw the Item Box or Items at the opponent and if it hits
or the opponent grabs, quickly perform your Lv.1 or Lv.2 special!!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
->> 06. In-Game Tips <<=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
->>After performing Bon Clay Lv.1 special, quickly press Square
(for Pandaman's mimic) or Triangle (for Cricket's mimic)
->>If you're on fire, you can transfer the fire to your opponent by
grabbing them
->>You can add additional damage to your Lv.2 special if your life bar
is low or critical
->>Eternal Pose (the full-power level up)
->If The Red Arrow points Up (increse)
->If The Red Arrow points Down (decrese)
**Note that you can change the pointer directions by grabbing and
releasing it (not throwing)
->>To delay the bomb from exploding, simply release it and grab it back
->>Press the d-pad for Crocodile to expose his poison hook, it can
inflict poison to your opponent when you attack
->>To reveal the Dagger on Crocodile's left arm, simply expose his poison
hook first (by pressing the d-pad) then block (square button) your
opponent weak attacks (X button) for about 15 hits.. The poison hook
will break and the Dagger will be reveal
->>Smoker's R1+X grab can cause more damage if grabbing a devil fruit
user (i.e Luffy, Ace etc..)
->>Some character have a different pose when winning with Perfect
(i.e Normal win for Smoker is, Tashigi coming forward to Him but with
Prefect win, Tashigi falls face down to the ground)
->Those who have different "perfect" winning pose are Luffy, Usopp,
Nami, Smoker, Hina, Bon Clay and Enel!
->>Dont go too near when you're grabbing a cloud ball, they might explode,
burn you etc. Just stand in a save distant where you also can grab 'em
->>When you fight Enel as the final boss (the 5th stage) in Normal, Hard
or Super Hard, make sure to kill him with Lv1/Lv2 special or just wait
for the time to end because if you kill him with normal attacks, he
might resurrect himself (electric jump start) and he'll be in super
strong mode with his life at half bar (ouch!)
->>When grabbing the pressure dial (the shell thingy), if the opponent
throws thing at you, it will only hit the dial thus filling it with
pressure (make sure to throw it when its glowing red)

Complete Training mode with Luffy, Zorro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji,
Chopper and Robin
--------------------------
Luffy's Pirate 4th Costume
--------------------------
Beat Grand Battle with Luffy's pirate VS. any Comp. with the
configurations of;
-3 Rounds
-Difficulty level is set to Hard mode
-Infinite number of time
Start the fight and win all 3 rounds with your character Lv.2 special!
++++++++++++++
Author's Tips;
++++++++++++++
I choose Robin as the opponent (Comp.) because she's got the most slowest
Lv.1 special (Flyin Hat) and Lv.2 special (the hands on the ground thingy)
You can easily dodge, run, side step (whatever you call it) from her
special attack and launch your Lv.2 special with 100% hit rate from her
side or back!
But make sure her life bar is below the 2 power (green) circles before
performing your Lv.2 special..
--------------------------
Shanks 3rd and 4th Costume
--------------------------
After getting Luffy's pirate 3rd & 4th costume, complete Training mode
with Shanks.
-------------------
Wiper's 3rd Costume
-------------------
After getting all the costume above, complete Training mode with Wiper
AGAIN!

->> 09. Aerial View of 3D Stage Trick <<-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Yea its a glitch and theres no doubt that this game have alot of glitches!
But I really like this one!!
-----------------
Air Jumping Trick
-----------------
In Training Mode or in 2 Player Mode, place your opponent near a wall
(or to make it easy, place them in a corner) then jump and step on your
opponent's head, try to keep it that way for about 129 stomps and press
the jump button (triangle) just after you pass the 129 counts! You'll now
be able to do the "air jumping" trick!! >__< Enjoy the VIEW!!
Some example,

->> 10. 999 Total Damage In Training Mode Counter <<-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
In training mode, you'll notice that for every attack you perform, theres
a damage value shown on the damage counter. Check >> 03.4 Training << for
more info!
If you do the Grab move (R1 or R2) twice in a row, you'll see that the
damage counter doesn't reset. So, it is posible that you can make the
total damage counter to 999 by just doing the Grabbing move over and over
again until it reaches the said amount! ^__^;
Heres an example,

(Courtesy of www.urban.ne.jp/home/teracyu4/game/GB3/)
Though.. I'm not quite sure what effects does it bring by doing this to
the overall gameplay

->> 11. Pandaman Guide <<=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Looking for Pandaman? Here's where you should look..
-----------------
Drum Castle Stage
-----------------
1. Below the glass floor, you'll see Pandaman popping out his head under
the blanket on the bed near the window. This occurs randomly!
---------------------
Alabasta Castle Stage
---------------------
1. You'll see Pandaman popping out his head inside the castle door, this
occurs randomly but the chances for it to happen are high if you set Bon
Clay VS. Nami using this stage, I usually had 2 to 4 tries before seeing
him there!
----------------------
Jaya (Mock Town) Stage
----------------------
1. Throw an item box at Shoujou (the Orangutan in the boat) to reveal
Pandaman hiding below the boat! Hehehh.. Pandaman can actually breathe
under water.. >__<;
2. Dining / sitting at the "Tropical Hotel" restaurant, this occurs
randomly but the chances for it to happen are high if you set Luffy VS.
Smoker using this stage, I usually had 3 to 5 tries before seeing him
there!
-------------------
Skypiea Ruins Stage
-------------------
1. You'll find him hiding inside a ruins just below Conis (near the
staircase), go to that particular place and the walls will disappear thus
revealing Pandaman. This often occurs.. but not always!
2. You'll find Pandaman popping out his head in 1 of the 2 windows near
Lucky (near the staircase), I accidentally found him there while doing
the glitch trick! ^__^ Again, this occurs randomly but the chances for it
to happen are high if you set Wiper VS. Luffy using this stage
------------------
Maxim (Enel) Stage
------------------
1. You can find Pandaman hanging onto the front end (the bottom part)
of the Airship.. He'll eventually pops out from hiding once in awhile..
^___^; This occurs randomly but the chances for it to happen are very
high if you set Zoro VS. Sanji using this stage, you will even get a
texture glitch if you're using this paring. The chances are also high if
you set Luffy VS. Zorro but with no glitch!
-----------------------------
Windmill (Luffy's Town) Stage
-----------------------------
1. You'll find him sitting on the roof of Party's Bar. This occurs
randomly but the chances for it to happen are high if you set Sanji VS.
Zoro using this stage
2. You'll find him onboard of the Going Merry, for about 4 sec or so
he'll wave at you . This occurs randomly but the chances for it to happen
are high if you set Luffy VS. Shanks using this stage, I usually had 3 to
5 tries before seeing him there!
--------------------------------
Training (Marine Holyland) Stage
--------------------------------
1. You'll find him ontop of the fountain behind Mihawk, Doflamingo and
Bishop Bear. This occurs randomly!
2. You'll find him behind the stairs to the right of Mihawk, he'll pops
up every few seconds. This occurs randomly!
-----------
Credit Roll
-----------
In the ending CGI of Luffy & Co. dances with Sky Wolf, you'll see
Pandaman at the very end of the credit roll. He'll be standing on a tree
branch near the top of the tree.
