Game Modes
===================
There are many game types you can play in Micro
Machines. This section will give a breakdown of what
each type is and what rewards you get for them, if
any.
====
Race
====
Here a player will race against other opponent in the
classic top down style, with first to the finish line
races.
Quick Start: Your character, the track, and your computer opponents
are randomised in this type.
Championship: Players will race in a tournament for trophies. You
can win a bonus car type in this mode. There are four
trophies you can win in this mode.
Bronze: The tracks you race for this trophy are "Crime
Scene Capers", "Lofty Ambitions", "Rivers of
Babylon" and "BBQ Bonanza".
Silver: The tracks you race for this trophy are "Def
Con One", The Graveyard Shift", Spaced Out"
and "Shore Thing".

Cosmos" and "Pebbles and Picnics".
Single Race: In this type players can select their character, the
number of COM's to race against and the track.
Time Trial: Players will race, by themselves, in order to get fast
times and set records. There are two types of modes in
Time Trial.
Practice: The player races an infinite amount of laps to
set a record for the bet lap for this track.
You can quit any time.
Challenge: The player races a three lap race in order to
set the fastest lap time and also the
challenge time, which is the total time to
complete the course.
==============
Micro Machines
==============
This is the classic Micro Machines mode in which
players compete against each other to get a screen
ahead. You unlock no bonuses in this mode.
Tournament: Here you race in a tournament against other Micro
Machines. There are four trophies you can win.
Bronze: The tracks you race for this trophy are "Crime
Scene Capers", "Lofty Ambitions", "Rivers of
Babylon" and "BBQ Bonanza".
Silver: The tracks you race for this trophy are "Def
Con One", The Graveyard Shift", Spaced Out"

Single Race: In this type the player chooses their character, how
many COM's to race against and what track to race on.
========
Micro GP
========
In this game mode you race to the finish. However, it
differs to the Race game mode because the view is now
in 3rd person. You must also get through the
checkpoints in time, as running out of time results in
the loss of the race. You can unlock many bonuses in
this mode by collecting the Star Tokens that are
hidden around the tracks
Time Trial: In this game type you race to set records on the Micro
GP tracks. There are two types of this mode you can
choose.
Practice: The player races an infinite amount of laps to
set a record for the bet lap for this track.
You can quit any time.
Challenge: The player races a three lap race in order to
set the fastest lap time and also the
challenge time, which is the total time to
complete the course.
Single Race: In this type the player chooses their character, how
many COM's to race against and what Micro GP track to
race on. This is the only game type for Micro GP in
which the Star Tokens, required for unlocking bonuses,
appear.
========
Bomb Tag
========
In Bomb Tag, you choose your character, how many COM's
to fight against and what track to fight on. The
overall objective of the game is to be the person who
doesn't have the bomb at the end of each round. Bash
into other people to pass on the bomb. Each character
has three lives. There are four special tracks for
Bomb Tag.
============
Micro Soccer
============
Micro Soccer is an unlockable bonus game. One or two
human players can fight against each other in an
attempt to score goals with the ball. Score five goals
to win the game. There are no COM's in this game. The
Boxing Glove power-up can be used to punch the ball
and the Magnet power-up can hold the ball for a few
seconds.

Section 4:
Car Descriptions
===================
Here is some general information on each of the car
types that appear in Micro Machines.
============
Standard Car
============
This car is the normal car that you drive in many races. It
has average performance in most areas, therefore making it
easy to drive.
==========
Sports Car
==========
This car is very quick compared to the Standard Car. Has very
little grip so you should be careful not to spin off round
corners. The Powerslide button is especially useful with this
car for getting round corners quickly and without losing much
speed.
================
Off-Road Vehicle
================
The Off-Road Vehicle is the slowest Micro Machine available.
However, it has the best grip out of all the cars, meaning you
should accelerate almost all of the time to get the best
performance from it. Copes the best with rugged terrain.
====
Bike
====
Can be quite fast at top speed, but its acceleration isn't as
good as other vehicles. Using the Powerslide effectively is
required to get round corners without losing much speed. This
bike also tends to flip around if you drive off ledges too
vigorously, so be careful you don't spin around and end going
in the wrong direction.
====
Boat
====
This vehicle is designed specifically for taking on the water
sections of tracks. It handles similar to the motorbike,
although slightly slower.
==========
Hovercraft
==========
This is a secret vehicle that can be unlocked through the
game. It is quite fast yet literally has no grip, meaning you
have to prepare for upcoming corners or you will spin off the
side of the track. It has the unique ability of being able to
travel over water as well as land.

Section 5:
Power-Ups
===================
Power-Ups can be used to eliminate enemy Micro
Machines or to benefit your own. You can only have one
Power-Up at a time. Power-Ups that have a blue swirl
around them when they are on the track give the
Power-Up to you, however, if they have an orange swirl
around them, everyone on the track will get the
Power-Up.
