|| Introduction ||
<>--------------------------------------------------------------------------<>
In the 22nd century...
Dr. Cain un-earthed the laboratory of Dr. Light during an archeological dig.
Mega Man X was the first robot capable of thinking for himself and making his
own decisions. It wasn't long before Dr. Cain realized the power of this
technology and immediately advanced plans to create Reploids, sentient
robots based on Mega Man X.
Unfortunately, the world was not a peaceful place. In past skirmishes, a
mad Reploid known as Sigma dedicated himself to fighting against the humans.
Reploids such as Sigma are known as Mavericks for their aberrant behavior.
The Reploids fighting to destroy the Mavericks are known as the Maverick
Hunters.
In the current situation, Mega Man X has left the Maverick Hunters. This
has rendered the Hunters weak in the eyes of the populace. A new organization
of mercenaries, known as the Red Alert Syndicate, has risen in its place.
Resorting to far less orthodox manners, the Red Alert has viciously fought
against the Mavericks. Axl, a young Reploid with the amazing ability to
shape-shift into other Reploids, fights alongside Red, the leader of the
Syndicate. But they parted ways when Axl grew suspicious of changes in
Red Alert.
Little did he know that the war between Hunter and Maverick was about to
spark once again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
...And there you have it. The basic jist of Mega Man X7. Hello, hello!
Welcome to my FAQ and Walkthrough for this wonderful game, Mega Man X7! In
this Walkthrough, I will be telling you the basic and not so basic, so that in
the end you should have the game 100% complete. Alright? Sound good? Ok then,
lets move on.
Anyway, a little bit about myself first. My gamefaqs username is Dark Cloud,
though my contributor name is Time Magician, seeing as Dark Cloud was taken
already. Whatever. I've written a few guides, they seemed to be considered
as good guides, as I often get IMs and e-mails complementing me on them. I
would no way consider myself a great FAQ writer, as I'm not like those
crazy prolific guys who write 4 guides a month. That's just not my thing.
Enough about me, you want to hear about that game, right?! Right..
<>--------------------------------------------------------------------------<>
|| What's New? ||
<>--------------------------------------------------------------------------<>
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
| Version 0.1 | Yep, I just started the FAQ, right now, |
| 7/04/04 | everything above this section is all that I |
| | currently have completed. Don't worry though, |
| | I'll be bustin' my butt with this FAQ, seeing |
| | as I love this game so much. Check every so |
| | often for updates. The first thing I'll |
| | concentrate on is the actual FAQ. From there, |
| | I'm not really sure what I'm to do. But, in |
| | any case, keep looking for this little guide. |
| | It'll be up and ready in a matters of weeks. |
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
| Version 0.2 | Alright, I got a few more things updated. I'm |
| 7/06/04 | about 1/10 through with the walkthrough, but I|
| | still have plenty more to add. This includes: |
| | Reploid Locations, Weapons, Equipment, |
| | Power-ups, Upgrade items and more! As I said |
| | a few days ago, just keep checkin' this |
| | walkthrough for more and more updates. It'll |
| | be done eventually. |
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
| Version 0.3 | I got up to the Battleship stage for the |
| 7/07/04 | walkthrough, although that's as far as I'm |
| | going to go on that for now. I'm gonna now |
| | work on the weapons, items, reploids and such.|
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
| Version 0.4 | Some reploid stuff if up, you know, the |
| 7/10/04 | locations of them and such. I probably will |
| | end up finishing that stuff first before I |
| | finish the actual walkthrough |
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
| Version 0.5 | Reploid Section = Done. Now later on today |
| 7/12/04 | I'll be working on Upgrade items. No other |
| | news besides that.. |
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
| Version 0.6 | I did the stat boosting items part, also known|
| 7/16/04 | as 'upgrade items' today. I think I should |
| | be able to get a good amount of this FAQ done |
| | by the weekend. I think I'm going to go back |
| | to the main part of the games FAQ, or maybe I |
| | will just finish everything up and go back. |
| | *Shrugs*, I guess I'll find out what I want to|
| | do with this FAQ at a later time. |
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
| Version 0.7 | I worked on the weapons part a little bit, and|
| 7/18/04 | not only that, but I did a few stages on the |
| | actual game walkthrough. This should be done |
| | soon enough! |
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
| Version 0.8 | Started working on the upgrade section which I|
| 7/19/04 | nearly forgot about. Worked more on the |
| | walkthrough section of my guide. I put up the |
| | FAQ section of my guide, now just for some |
| | questions to be asked! @_@ |
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
| Version 0.9 | Upgrades are done. Weapons are nearly done, |
| 7/21/04 | and the Walkthrough is just about done. I |
| | started working a little bit on the ending |
| | section with contact info, thank yous, and all|
| | of those things. The guide should be done very|
| | soon!! |
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
+----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
| Version 1.0 | Awesome! The first version of my FAQ is |
| 7/23/04 | locked, loaded, and ready to be read. But, |
| | even though it's the first version, a lot |
| | still has to be added. So bare with me as I |
| | continue to add more things to my guide! |

|| My review of Mega Man X7 ||
<>--------------------------------------------------------------------------<>
Upon starting Mega Man X7, I was hoping it would be good. Whereas I wasn’t
completely right about it, Mega Man X7 is a very, very good game. If you’re a
Mega Man fan, I’m sure you’ll buy it. If not, then I’ll show you a little
about it. Us Mega Man fans have been waiting for awhile for this game to come
out. We were told all sorts of things about the game. A lot of the rumors
weren’t true, and ones that weren’t mentioned were put in the game. All and
all, Mega Man X7 lived up to the hype that it got. Not to mention, this
particular game is in 3D. Some people don’t like that, and think that it
should still is in 2D. But, I think it makes the game more fun. Now, let me
break the game down for you.
Gameplay: 9/10
Fun, fun and more fun! Thank you for making this game different, Capcom! Some
people don’t like the whole 3D Mega Man concept, but as I said before, it
makes the game all the more enjoyable. You can move the camera around and get
different angles, but sometimes the camera moves by itself, which is a bad
thing, but can be good, as well. Also, you can only control the camera in a
few certain areas, and in Boss battles. All in all, the camera view is
mediocre. But enough about that, in the missions, you can now use two
characters, and switch them whenever you want. This is great, because at some
parts you’ll absolutely need Axl, and half a minute later, you’ll need Zero.
Or maybe you’ll need Zero to slice through some baddies, then use X to shoot
a big energy blast through the other baddies.
As for the control of the game, it is a wee bit laggy at times, and sometimes
very hard to control the character your using. Wall jumping is a bit harder
this time around, but if you’ve played Mega Man before, you shouldn’t have
much trouble adjusting to the change. The controls probably aren’t as good as
they could be, because this is the first 3D Mega Man game.
Story: 6/10
The story is quite interesting. It starts off with X, who has stopped being a
hunter, and hasn’t been around anywhere lately. Also, there is a young guy
reploid named Axl, who has the ability to take the form of other reploids, but
has no clue how he got the ability to do this. Then there is Zero, who is
trying to take down Red Alert. Eventually, Axl and Zero meet, and after a few
events, they end up working together to stop Red Alert, a group with which Axl
was once aligned to. Halfway through the missions, X decides to join up with
Axl and Zero so that he can finally bring true peace to the world.
Sound: 7/10
Oh, this baby sounds great! I love the music in the game. It goes along great
with the scene. It’s perfect. Unfortunately, the voice acting is pretty bad.
The characters don’t even move their mouths when they talk, probably because
Capcom was too lazy to remake the animations for different characters. The
sound effects are very good; they are never, ever off cue. All in all, the
sound is pretty good! My only major complaint is the repetitiveness of the
voices. When fighting, they say the same words over and over again. This is
especially for Flame Hyenard, who yells "Burn! Burn! Burn to the ground"
every 2 seconds. Not to mention there is more than 1 Flame Hyenard, so it gets
VERY aggravating. This factor right here is enough for you to grab a baseball
bat and smash up your gaming area. Or turn off the sound, whichever is more
convenient.
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics in Mega Man X7 are pretty good. A lot of people said the
transition from 2D to 3D wouldn’t be good. In my opinion, they were wrong.
The graphics are smooth, the characters and stages are well detailed, and
everything seems to look good. There are a few parts where it is sort of hard
to see the character. And there are other parts where you go crazy because you
can’t move the camera to a certain place.
Replay Value: 9/10
Mega Man games always take me awhile to get bored with them. X7 is no
exception to this rule. I’ve already played it through twice, and I’m getting
ready to play through a third time. With everything that is in the game, such
as secrets, reploids and other things; you’ll definitely be playing through
more than once. Hell, you’ll probably be playing this game over for quite
awhile.
-----Should you buy or rent Mega Man X7?-----
If you are a Mega Man fan: Yes. It is a must buy. But, given the fact that not
everyone is a Mega Man fan, some people won’t have a clue about what to do in
the game. If you aren’t a Mega Man fan, at least rent the game. Who knows? You
might fall in love with the series and decide to buy some more Mega Man games.
So, yes, anyone who enjoys action, adventure and shooting games, go check it
out.
Overall Rating: 9/10
I give Mega Man X7 a near perfect rating because it is a great game, but it
still has it’s flaws, most of which could have been fixed with a little bit of
time. Mega Man fans will like this game, and even non-Mega Man Man fans will.
If you’re new to the series, go out and try it. You might just surprise
yourself.

|| Characters ||
<>--------------------------------------------------------------------------<>
-Mega Man X:
A once well known hunter, who mysteriously vanished awhile ago. He used to
be the leader up hunter unit 17 when he was a part of the Maverick Hunters.
Nowadays, it is said that X now hates any type of violence and will do
anything to stop violence. X eventually joins back up to try and stop the
violence. And, as usual, he uses his arm cannon
You can unlock X by saving 64 reploids or passing 2 stages.
-Zero
Zero is a spectacular S-Class hunter who acts like a total badass. He uses
a type of electric sword which is a melee weapon, the only playable character
who uses one, for that matter. At the beginning of the game, Zero meets up
with Axl, and they eventually wind up as partners.
Zero is available after beating the first part of the first stage.
-Axl
A former member of Red Alert who has an uncanny abilty to change into the
form of a reploid. And get this, he doesn't even know how he does it! An
intriguing young man he is. A lot of people don't like him, in my opinion,
he is a great young lad. Axl uses an gun, and it has a few different
variations.
Axl is available right in the beginning of the game.
-Signas
Leader of the Maverick Hunters. He is a very strong and smart person, who is
highly trained in militart affairs.
Signas is a Non playable character.
-Alia
Alia is the helper for the Maverick Hunters. She helps all the hunters when
they are in missions, by giving them advice and telling them where they are
and what to do. Most Hunters even rely on her for missions.
Alia is a Non playable character.
-Red
Red is the leader of Red Alert (Obviously), and was once Axl's mentor. Upon
Axl's defect, he began commanding Red Alert's generals and troops to fight
against the Maverick Hunters.
Red is a Non playable character.
<>--------------------------------------------------------------------------<>
|| Walkthrough ||
<>--------------------------------------------------------------------------<>
Ok, time to fight. You start off in a warehouse as Axl, an defectee of Red
Alert. As you can see, there are a bunch of lasers hovering around. If you
touch them, they will damage you. So, shoot at them, which gives you enough
time to jump past them and take out the next pair of lasers. Eventually,
you'll get the end, and go through to another room.
Why hello there 3D perspective! Now you actually get to fight. If you want,
you can use the Copy Shot (Triangle) to kill one of those robots, and you can
change into them for a good 30 seconds. It is not reccommended to do that
right now, though. Just shoot at them and dodge their bombs, because they can
cause a lot of damage.
Make your way through, and you'll come up to another room, and have to pass a
whirling laser type thing, It's best to try and dash through, even if you get
hit once. Now, you'll arrive in a room where you have to break through a door,
or so it seems. When the panels turn Red, shoot them, and they will eventually
be destroyed, allowing you access to the outside.
Switch time! You are now in control of Zero, a badass S-Class Hunter. Woot
woot! It's time to fight. You'll have to fight a few low level weak robots,
but they should be very easy to destory. Your only problem should be the Bee
Copters you will run into. I reccomend just running up as far as you can to
them and attacking them like no tomorrow. That way, you won't get hit and
you'll destroy the Bee Copter. Cheap? Yes. Effective? Hell yes!
Also, you'll run into a few robots who shoot lasers at you. They are very
slow, and easy to counter. You can bounce them back at them by attacking
the lasers as they come near you. Three shots will kill them. Or, if you want
you can just walk up to them and kill them. It's your choice, really.
Now you'll reach walls that are retracting, and you've gotta get up to the
surface before they close! Oh no! Alright, alright, keep your cool, guy, you
won't die. Just do a dash and jump, and a dash and double jump if you are
falling or something. You'll be able to make it up to the main area without
too much effort.
When you get up to the surface, you'll have to do a few jumps, and then you
will run into a huge metal scorpion. It's name: Scorpion Mechaniroid. Now
you've gotta run from it, whilst dodging it's missles and lasers in the
process. This isn't that hard, but if you're not paying attention it it, then
it can become hard. After a few jumps over the brokens roads, you'll run Axl.
You two decide to fight the Scorpion Mechaniroid. Alright, lets go robot boy!
I ain't scared of you! That's what you should be thinking.
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Scorpion Mechaniroid|
+--------------------+
This battle isn't very hard, because it's two on one, and it's the first
battle of the game. If you are new to the series, this battle may be a little
tough for you. But, it's fairly simple. He'll fire shots at you, lunge at you,
or do a special move that attacks the ground for a few seconds. To dodge his
claw lunge, just jump up and fly back. To dodge his shots, either run towards
him, or hug the wall, jumping up it. And for his special attack, just keep
jumping up the wall and sliding, he can't hit you then. Just remember, if
your health gets low, switch characters. Also, you can get through him by under
his legs. Whenever you see an opportunity to attack him, then do it! Go for
the gusto! Within a matter of minutes, Scorpion Mechaniroid will be defeated.
Now onto the actual levels.
NOTE: You can do the levels in whichever order you like. It really doesn't
make that much of a difference, I just put them in the way that I prefer, your
preferences on the levels will probably be different.
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 1 |
| Tunnel Base |
| Boss: Vanishing Gungaroo |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
Oh, how fun, an underground base. In this base, there are a bunch of crazy
mechanical baddies out to get you, so it's best to deal with them with Axl.
Although it is perfectly fine to fight them with Zero, it all depends on what
you'd like to fight with.
You first have to make your way through a bunch of runnerbomb guys, which
isn't too simple. Use Axl's copy shot to get through. Once you're through
with that, you'll arrive in the next room. There will be a mechaniroid
around, so hop into it and pass over the liquid. You can't pass over it if you
do not have the mechaniroid, so if you want to do it the hard way, be my
guest.
After that, youll arrive in a small side room, there will be a lot of enemies
in here. If you don't have Axl out, take him out and start clearing the room
with him. You also need to use Axl to get past the security wall. Just like on
the first stage, shoot the targets when they are red, and wait when they
are blue.
Whew, last part. It's Zero's time to shine. There are a helluva lot of
mechaniroids in here, and they all shoot things. It's best to use Zero,
simply because he can destroy them all without much effort. But if you get
into low health with Zero, bring out Axl to finish the jobs. In all, there are
about 15-20 baddies you have to fight in this last room, which is a pain.
Also, don't forget to grab the mechanroid to get up top, because there are a
few reploids up there. Hell, you can even use this second mechaniroid to fight
off the other mechaniroids! And with that done, you pass through a door, and
then it's time to fight the Vanishing Gungaroo!
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Vanishing Gungaroo |
+--------------------+
This can be a pretty easy battle. You'll mainly need Axl, because this guy has
two forms, one is very quick, and one can hit from far away. Thus, you'll need
range for this.
If you don't have Ride Armor, then just simply shoot at his armor with X or
Axl, which will make short work of this little twerp. As his armors blows up,
don't get too cocky, because this guy isn't done yet. Now you've gotta face a
little kangaroo type thing that is really, really fast. Keep your shooter, X
or Axl, whichever, and shoot at him. When you hear him talk, jump and use your
'turbo' to get out of the way, as he will be soon too attack. And, that's
about it. With those things said, Vanishing Gungaroo won't be all that hard to
defeat.
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 2 |
| Deep Forest |
| Boss: Soldier Stonekong |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
This stage right here is actually pretty tough. It's not so much that there
are hard enemies, hell, even the boss isn't that hard. It's just the obsticles
that you have to get past are pretty damn annoying and they can kill you very
easily.
You will definately need Axl for this mission, because you NEED to copy shot
to get by on some parts. Especially near the end, I think it's actually
manditory to have Axl in this mission. You'll probably want Zero in this one
too, because he can attack those annoying flys pretty easily.
After you get the jist of this stage, it's not all that hard to beat. You'll
run into a few things that might take practice to get past, but they can be
done with only 1 death.
And when that's all over, you'll finally reach the boss, Soldier Stonekong.
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Soldier Stonekong |
+--------------------+
Despite this guys coolness, he is incredibly weak. Bring out your shooter and
fire at him. He'll do a fire move and a stone move. The fire move can be
avoided by jumping to another side. The stone move can be avoided by summoning
Zero and doing a double jump just when the stones are about to pass over each
other. It's a simple battle, really.
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 3 |
| Central Circuit |
| Boss: Ride Boarski |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
This stage is rather easy, in my opinion. It's pretty simple to save the
reploids as well, because they are all right in the open.
Anyway, in this stage you have to collect 20 bombs that Ride Boarski has
scattered all throughout the city within a certain time. But don't worry, you
don't have to do this by running, you get to use a Ride Armor that can drive!
How about that..
This stage shouldn't take more than 1 try, if that. The circuit is actually
pretty small too. Right after you get all the bombs, you'll be transported to
a stage where you fight the boss, Ride Boarski.
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Ride Boarski |
+--------------------+
This battle is also pretty easy, because sometimes Ride Boarski will just
stand and wait for you to pummel the hell out of him. So, with Zero, just hack
and slash the hell out of him with whatever weapon you choose, and when
Ride Boarski becomes mobile, switch to X or Axl, whomever is in your party,
and attack from a distance.
Also, there is a reploid who is throwing bombs from behind a fence. Don't let
this guy distract you, you can't kill him.
The only thing bad about this stage is that it becomes incredibly laggy when
Ride Boarski does some of his attacks. Other than that, you'll have roadkill
if you follow my instructions! Hahaha.. oh dear. I made a funny. <_< Anyway..
Lets move on..
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 4 |
| Battleship |
| Boss: Splash Warfly |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
A lot of dodging things in here. You should have Zero in there, even though
he won't be able to do much in the beginning. There are a lot of explosions
and things, so watch out.
Near the end you'll have to fight a grounded plane thats flipping all over
the place. Watch it's fire, and aim from a far. You should be able to beat
it easily if you're careful! A little after that, you'll meet Splash Warfly,
the boss of this stage. He's a difficult little bugger, and fast too.
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Splash Warfly |
+--------------------+
Now is Zero's time to shine. Whip out the Raijinshou if you have it, because
he is incredibly vulnerable to it. Splash also jumps in the water alot, then
comes out with a spear attack, so BE CAREFUL! Another attack of his is his
constant missile attacks. Smash them with Zero and try to avoid getting
damaged by the explosion. An open and shut case, I believe..
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 5 |
| Cyber Field |
| Boss: Snipe Anteator |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
This stage gets kind of confusing. You have to use warps all the time, and get
on the bottom of the field. Plus there are invisible 'cyber' walls all around,
so, uh, yeah. You can't really die, because there aren't many tough guys, but
stay on the lookout anyway. It's more of a puzzle, but after awhile, you should
be able to figure it out
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Snipe Anteator |
+--------------------+
You fight on a pipe here. It's kind of lame, because Snipe can go around the
whole thing, but you can't. And not to mention, he stays down there a lot
and shoots things at you. But they aren't hard to avoid. Start off with Zero
and whittle away at his health. Stay there as long as you can, and switch out
when he goes crazy.
When Snipe goes crazy, he sends out all sorts of things, like laser pods and
missiles and it gets really crazy in the battle. That's when you bring out
one of the gunners, either Axl or X and shoot away at him while playing a game
of evasion.
Whew. That sure was hard, eh? Next stage!
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 6 |
| Air Force |
| Boss: Wind Crowrang |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
In the first part, you've got to jump from plane to plane. Be careful! You
can fall, and will, and then you'll die. Also, the plane up ahead on the
right explodes, so try to stay on planes for as little as you can. If you
survive, you'll make it ontop of the ship. Now you've gotta bust in by
destroying the laser cannons. Simple. They really are easy to block from.
After that you'll make it in the ship. Navigate through the corridors. It
might get a little confusing, but you can always head back the way you
came from. Anyway, you'll eventually wind up ontop of the ship, ready
to face off with Wind Crowrang.
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Wind Crowrang |
+--------------------+
This can be kind of a hard battle. There are a few things you have to look
out for, though. First off, Wind Crowrang will fly up and then start
shooting missiles at you. You can either shoot at him and run away or hack
at the missiles with Zero. I recommend the shoot and run. Also, when he
hits the ground, gets in a crouched stance and starts fidgeting, he's
going to release an attack. Just shoot the hell outta him until he looks
like he'll attack, then do a double jump over the lasers he shoots out.
Wind Crowrang also has a few regular on the ship attacks, but they are
nothing to fear, as they are totally weak. Make sure you don't end up
jumping and falling off the ship.. because you can. >_<
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 7 |
| Radio Tower |
| Boss: Tornado Tonion |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
In this stage, you've gotta scale up a radio tower. Sounds easy, right? Well,
it isn't that easy. You've gotta do a lot of dodging and jumping, and you can
easily fall down a few stories and wind up at the start.
Look at the broken patterns when you get to it at the top of the tower. I
can't really say what to do, because it's luck and jumping skill. If you
don't make it, start over, just be wary of those enemies who follows you.
After you finish that, you fight a mini boss. It's a spinning blade type
thing.. er, yeah. I don't know it's name, but it's simple. Just dodge
it's whirling blade attacks and attack with the G Launcher powered up
as much as possible. It'll die out soon enough
After that, you've got a little more to climb up. This area is even more
crazy. You'll have to kill tons of bats, and do a lot of jumping. Near
the end, you'll have to get lucky with a double jump, it gets tough.
However, should you make it through, you'll face off with Tornado Tonion.
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Tornado Tonion |
+--------------------+
This guy is a piece of cake. He spins around and does a bunch of lame
moves that have no chance of hitting you. You can either; a) charge him with
Zero and lure him into a girly ballerina move, then back up, and move in with
an attack, or b) attack from a distance with X or Axl and shoot the crap out
of him. If you wanna get it done fast, use Zero. If you want to make sure
you will not die whatsoever, use X or Axl.
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 8 |
| Lava Factory |
| Boss: Flame Hyenard |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
This stage is a bitch, to be blunt. The stage is hard, as is the boss. You
probably wont want to use Zero, so bring along X and Axl. In the first part,
you'll have to blow through a lot of robotic bosses, some that spray poisons,
and you'll also have to rescue reploids from getting blown up from time bombs.
A bitch of a stage, indeed. Also, near the end of the inside, where the lava
pit starts, there is a reploid hanging in the air. Since I've got a lot of
questions about it, you've got to glide over to him.
Now youll have to make your way through a lava mase with lots of things trying
to knock you off, and kill you. It gets very crazy. It's fairly easy to
navigate, because if you take the wrong path it only goes on for 5 seconds.
You'll have to get REALLY close to the lava is some parts, like, about 2 feet
from touching it, as you'll be crossing gurders that are connecting to
machines, and is right by the lava. When you make it through, you'll find the
most annoying boss ever put in any video game.. ever.
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Flame Hyenard |
+--------------------+
Why is he so annoying, you ask? Because when you are fighting him, he will
yell "Burn!" or "Burn to the ground!" every second, AND HE HAS CLONES! So,
that's like 3 "Burn!" yells in a second you'll be hearing. I can almost
guarentee you'll be putting your TV on mute. I did, and I could still kind
of hear the bastard.. >_<
Anyway!..
This guy is so weird he's just walking around and not even thinking of fighting
you. Whoever you're playing as will approach you, and he'll ramble some crazy
junk like all the crazies do, and you'll be in a fight. First off, there will
be a few Flame Hyenard's running around, they are fake. You'll have to stop
the huge mechanroid walking around in the lava by shooting at its legs.
From there, you have to scale it up to the top, where the real Flame Hyenard
is, along with two clones. Now for the hard part..
First I recommend you bring up Axl with the Splash Laser, because, water will
as hell beat fire. It's a matter of finding the REAL Hyenard and beating him. If
you are good at evading attacks, kill one of his fakes. But do not kill both!
Should you do that, he'll respawn two more clones, and you'll be right back
in the bad situation you were at the start. He'll occasionally jump off and
start launching missiles at you. They are easy to avoid, but don't stop
running until you are sure they are gone. Also, don't try to jump off, the
Hyenard's will just all bounce at you and mess you up pretty badly. When you
defeat him, you'll finally have beaten all the bosses, but the game isn't done
with just yet..
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 9 |
| Palace Road |
| Boss: Bulldozer Mechanroid |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
For the most part of this level, you'll be getting chased by a huge bulldozer
thing. It requires little to no strategy to get through the stage, just some
knowledge of the maps, and there is a FAQ for it on GameFAQs, so check that
out if you keep dying.
When you eventually get to the end of the road, you'll have to fight it!
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Bulldozer Mechanroid|
+--------------------+
Not a hard fight at all. Blast away at him with X or Axl, whomever you have
picked for this stage. If you've got both, even better. But Zero is also
pretty good to use, as he can get in some good attacks. Anyway, blast away at
this thing and it's front will fall off. It can shoot at you as well, and you
can destroy all of it except the lasers. He will also try to run you over in
a super easy pattern. Whatever way he went the first time, get on that, then
the opposite side, and he should only hit you once if you're slow to react,
otherwise he shouldn't really be able to touch you.
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 10 |
| Crimson Palace : Part 1 |
| Boss: Red |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
Another easy to manuver area. No explaination needed on how to get through
this area, it's pretty much straight-forward and easy.
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Red |
+--------------------+
Not falling off the platforms is the hard part of this battle. Really, Red
isn't all that difficult to defeat. In the beginning he just stands there,
and you can unload a load of shots on him with X or Axl, depleting a good
amount of his health.
Basically, for this battle, just watch where you jump, and whittle away at
Red's health, and look out for him as well. If you do those things, you should
have beaten him easy.
With Red being defeated, he bids adeiu to Axl, whom won't let him die without
a fight. Now, you've got to get out of the Palace. Oh, did I mention you don't
get to save?
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| Stage 11 |
| Crimson Palace : Part 2 |
| Boss: Sigma and every other Boss you've ever fought |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------*
You'll enter a room with a few fill-up things. Grab them all, you'll need
them to stay alive, plus they'll provide some well needed energy. Look around,
there are two paths. The Left one is suicide, so don't take it unless you are
really good at Mega Man games. The right path is really easy, so, it's really
a hard choice. Crazy hard or Lame easy. Because you haven't had a chance to
save to game, just take the easy way out.
You'll eventually wind up in a teleport room for all the reploids you killed
during the stages, not the puny ones, I mean the bosses for that stage. You'll
have to fight them all over again. You can fight them in whatever order you
want, and I even made a map of the warp room so you know where everyone is,
it's pretty crappy, but, oh well. If you can make a good one, send it to me
and I'll give you full credit. Here it is:
---
http://www.machao.envy.nu/MMX7Graveyard.jpg ---
Eventually, you'll make your way to Sigma, and you'll hear quite a nice
dialouge before the fight.
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Sigma |
+--------------------+
Though it looks like this battle would be tough, it isn't. Sigma will float
around with his cannons and guns and try to shoot at you. You can duck behind
a crate and just blast away at him with Axl or X. Just wait around for your
lock on to pick up, come out from hiding and barrage him with some shots.
After you do, go back into hiding. Not really hard of a battle, it just gets
tedious at some points.
Now are you ready for the real battle..?
+--------------------+
|Boss Battle! |
| |
|Giant Sigma |
+--------------------+
Sigma becomes a so damn big that you have to fight in outer space. Right when
you start out, start climbing the floating rocks to the top, and wait for
Sigma to appear. Most of Sigma's attacks can be blocked with the Gaea Shield,
or Zero's attacks, and others can be dodged quite easily. When he jumps in to
punch in, switch to Zero and slice at him. You'll have to be positioned on a
platform, and be as far back as you possibly can for this to work. That way,
when he punches, he'll hit the rock and you can beat the hell out of his hand.
Also, you can shoot at him with he comes near you just to do regular flame
attacks or lightning attacks. With that being said, Sigma should fall quite
easily to you.
Now that everything is done, watch the ending, and enjoy. :D

|| Upgrades ||
<>--------------------------------------------------------------------------<>
Every character in Mega Man X7 has a bunch of parts you can get for them.
But, there's a catch. You have to save reploids to get them. And they also
have a plethora of unique and cool weapons. But, for that, you have to defeat
a boss! So, to save you the trouble, I'll tell ya how to get those things,
and what they do.
Now for a bit of explaining. By levels, I mean you must get the lower ranked
ones in it's specific class first before you can get the next power up in
that class.
For Example: Say I picked Power Plus A as a power-up. Then I got another
chip a little later on. I could not just got to Shock Absorber right away,
I would first have to buy Power Plus B.
Understood? Okay then!!

|| Weapons ||
<>--------------------------------------------------------------------------<>
Along with being able to get power ups, upgrades, and all that fine stuff,
you can also get new weapons upon defeating bosses, as I explained in an
earlier section! So, here's the list!
Note: X and Axl share the same weapon set, so there will only be two sections,
no need to aware me of it.
~Axl's and X's Weapons~
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
| Weapon | Won From | Personal Comments |
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
| Circle Blaze | Flame Hyenard | A big tough weapon. But, sadly |
| | | it's special is weak and it has|
| | | terrible ammo respawning time. |
| | | you're better off not using it |
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
| Explosion | Vanishing Gungaroo | It's another powerful weapon. |
| | | This weapon packs a punch, and |
| | | has a great special. Use it! |
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
| Gaea Shield | Soldier Stonekong | It blocks attacks. That's it. |
| | | Also, it can hurl rocks. Other |
| | | than that, it's not worth using|
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
| Moving Wheel | Ride Boarski | It's got a nice special too it.|
| | | A pretty nice offensive weapon,|
| | | and it makes X look cool. I |
| | | enjoy it, but you might not.. |
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
| Sniper Missile | Snipe Anteator | The special is sweet, three |
| | | missiles come out! The regular |
| | | attack for this baby ain't too |
| | | shabby either!! |
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
| Splash Laser | Splash Warfly | It's good for attacking, but |
| | | the special takes time to get |
| | | used to. |
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
| Volt Tornado | Tornado Tonion | Well, most people like this one|
| | | I think of it as 'meh'. It has |
| | | a good special, but I just |
| | | don't like it, that's all.. |
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
+-----------------+---------------------+--------------------------------+
| Wind Cutter | Wind Crowrang | The special is decent, the |
| | | attack is decent. This weapon |
| | | is nothing great, nothing bad, |
| | | either.

and take off the authors name and then sell it. You are allowed to read it,
print it, but not use it for anything that would be stealing my name. Yes,
I did have this copyrighted, and no, I'm not BSing you like 60% of FAQ writers,
I actually take the time to copyright this, it only costs $2 anyway. So, you
steal this guide, you pay the price. You'll be paying a helluva lot more than

So, you wanna know about me, eh? Well screw you! Just messin'.. er..
My names, as stated before is Patrick Lowery. I live in Milwaukee, WI and
attend St. Francis High School, where I am a junior at the time. I do Cross
Country and Track. In track I do the 1600m, 3200m and Pole Vault. I'm a
pretty smart kid. I don't have mad smarts, but I get pretty good grades,
almost aways above a 3.0. I enjoy, running, biking, gaming, lifting, music,
online message communitys (mainly GameFAQs), anime (Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy
Bebop, Inuyasha, Detective Conan, Lupin the 3rd, Chobits, just to name a few),
women, and plenty of junk!
So there you are. Now you have enough information to come and kidnap me. Er, but
I'm always packing heat, so watch yerself!

I usually have witty stuff to put in here. This time I don't. I kinda this
this just may be my last FAQ. I all grown up now, not some 14 year old kid
with no job, no sports, and a lot of time anymore. But, you can always hope.
Plus I'll always have that special place in your heart *Walks off to his
spaceship.* >_> So, uh, yeah. That's it. Lights out, shows over. Thanks for
reading my guide!!
