This is the Encyclopedia from the game. I've copied it word for word, so none
of this is to be credited to me (other than typing it up of course! :D). This
is part of the game, all facts, and I hope it helps you as much as it helped
me. Some of it contains spoilers, and you shall be alerted of that when I
place a !!!Spoilers!!! marker beside the part which portrays a spoiler. Make
sure not to read unless you want know what happens ahead of time. The

Chapter 1: Doodles (About Doodles) |
-----------------------------------

   1.) Folklore: 1
-Long ago, the world was a place devoid of color.
-But one day, the Spirit of Creation made four simple shapes using red,
        blue, green, and yellow.
-These shapes became the Sun, Sea, Land, and Wind.

   2.) Folklore: 2
-Afterwards, the Spirit of Creation made two other shapes.
-Mankind and Doodles. To man, he gave free spirit. To Doodles, he gave
        free body.
-People drew Doodles, and Doodles created colors. Color filled the
        world.

   3.) Folklore: 3
-One day however, a human king was born. This king eventually enslaved
the Doodles to gain more colors.
-In doing so, he deeply saddened the Doodle King.

   4.) Folklore: 4
-In response, the Doodle King pleaded with the Spirit of Creation.
-"Spirit...please do not let those whose hearts are impure continue
        to create Doodles."
-"Do this, and I will give you both my body and colors."

   5.) Folklore: 5
-With that...the Doodle King and half the world's colors disappeared.
-The Doodles were freed from their enslavement, but now the human king
turned his efforts toward controlling those humans still able to
        create Doodles.

   6.) Pengel
-Blending the imagination of a child, with the pureness of a kitten,
        Pengel was created.
-Pengels are the implements used to draw Doodles. Only those who are
pure of heart can use Pengels to create Doodles.

   7.) Color Gems
-Gems infused with the power of color.
-Color gems are needed to draw doodles.
-Regular color gems can be turned in for gold color gems at the trade
        shop.
-Gold color gems are used as currency.

   8.) Obtaining Gems
-Color gems are obtained by taking part in Doodle battles/duels.
-Color gem rewards depend on your performance and the strength of the
        Doodle(s) fought.
-The Kingdom collects color gem taxes on Main Arena battles.

(!!!SPOILERS!!! After this point, there are spoilers.)

   9.) Marketplace
-The Kingdom's castle and the marketplace are located on an island.
-Those who live in the marketplace enjoy eating fish and sweet buns.
-Zoe's home rests in a valley below the castle.

   10.) Kingdom
-Since Doodles can only be drawn by those with a pure heart, not all
people take part in Doodle battles/duels.
-Almost no one from the Kingdom can create Doodles and for this reason
they tax battles/duels in order to acquire color gems.

   11.) Tournaments
-Another purpose of Kingdom sponsored tournaments is to discover
        talented new Doodlers.
-All preliminary tournaments are held in the Main Arena.
-Win these events to increase Pengel's level and acquire new part
        palettes.

   12.) Galileo
-Taro's father, Galileo, is renowned as the most skilled Doodler.
-He spent many years researching Doodles while working in the castle.
-His disappearance, along with one of his Doodles, remains a mystery.

   13.) Home Signboard
       -Kingdom law...Article 9.
-Criminals can, at anytime, be deprived of both their rights and
        property.
-Those seeking to repurchase seized land must make arrangements with a
        Kingdom representative.

   14.) Kiba
-After Galileo's disappearance, Kiba took his place as the Kingdom's
        master Doodle researcher.
-Those who live in the market view Kiba as Galileo's successor.

   15.) Zoe's Letters
       -I am looking for Galileo.
-Galileo is a master Doodler. If you see him, please tell him that Zoe
and Taro are waiting for him to return home.

   16.) Color Loss
-Humans and Doodles need color, without it, life would be empty.
-If a Doodle loses its color in battle, it returns naturally.
-But if people lose their color, it's believed that the change cannot
        be undone.

   17.) Wanted Sign
-This is a picture of a criminal wanted by the Kingdom. Anyone found
harboring him will be prosecuted under Kingdom law.
-A reward of one million gold is being offered for his capture.

   18.) Mono
-Mono is a Doodle drawn by Galileo. He is the king of all Doodles.
-Mono has the power to both give and take color freely.

----------------------------------

-When beginning a Doodle drawing, you must always start by drawing a
        body first.

   12.) Part: Arm
-The arm design of a Doodle determines the type of punching skill it
         will have.
-Doodles with large arms are more likely to acquire a punching skill.
-A Doodle can have up to six arms.

   13.) Part: Leg
-A Doodle with large legs is more likely to acquire a kicking skill.
-A Doodle's movement characteristics are determined by the size, shape
and number of legs it has.

   14.) Part: Head
-A Doodle may only have one head.
-Create a head that incorporates upper and lower jaw areas to give your
        Doodle a mouth.
-Having a mouth makes it possible for a Doodle to perform biting
        attacks.

   15.) Part: Wing
-Draw large enough wings on the left and right sidesof a Doodle and it
        will be able to fly.
-Both wings must be attached to the Doodle's body so that the Doodle
can fly. If the wings are not attached to the body (part) then the
        Doodle will not fly.

   16.) Part: Hard
-Hard parts are accessory parts that move together with the part they
        are attached to.
-Use this part palette to create things like spikes and horns on a
        Doodle.

   17.) Part: Wiggle
-Accessory parts that wiggle as a Doodle, or the part they are attached
        to, moves.
-The specific motion of wiggle parts is determined by the starting
point of their creation, indicated by the (*) mark.

   18.) Part: Soft
-Accessory parts that sway as a Doodle, or the part they are attached
        to, moves.
-A useful part for drawing things such as clothes and hair.
-soft parts move according to their start point, the (*) mark.

   19.) Part: Rotate
-Accessory parts that continuously rotate/spin regardless of how a
        Doodle moves.
-The straight line that connects the (*) mark and the center of the
drawn part is the rotation axis. It rotates clockwise on the rotation
        axis.

   20.) Part: Weapon
-Accessory parts that can only be attached to a Doodle's arms.
-Place the Pengel over an arm part and press the X button to set the
connection point. Once the weapon is drawn it will automatically
        connect.

   21.) Part: Tail & Horn
-Use either the soft or wiggle part palettes to draw a tail on the back
        of a Doodle.
-Use the hard part palette to draw a horn on the top of a Doodle's
        head.
-A Doodle with a tail or horn is likely to have related skills.

   22.) Part: Design
-Use this palette to draw designs on other parts.
-Unlike other part palettes, things drawn using the design palette do
        not take shape.
-Use the hard/wiggle palettes to draw designs you want to fill with
        color.

   23.) Drawing Parts
-To begin drawing: select a part palette, color and brush. Press and
hold the X button while moving the left analog stick to draw.
-Complete a shape by connecting the line to the (*) mark.

   24.) Direction
-The arrow on the blue axis guide indicates the direction a Doodle will
        face.
-This direction can't be changed once drawing begins. Press down on the
right analog stick (R3 button) to view the Doodle from the front.

   25.) Adding Parts: 1
-The (*) mark indicates both the point where a line begins and where
the part you are adding connects to another part.
-Draw parts that move realistically by beginning them where you want
them to connect. Arms at shoulders, etc.

   26.) Adding Parts: 2
-Use a dot (press X) before drawing to further refine part placement
        on your Doodle.
-Doing this aids in achieving proper part placement and movement.
Especially use this when adding parts that do not directly connect
        to the Doodle.

   27.) Adding Parts: 3
-Use the design palette to add decorations to your Doodle: stripes,
        dots, etc.
-Vary the size of the brush used to create thicker or thinner designs.

   28.) Actions
-Before finishing a Doodle creation, use the action options to check
        its movement characteristics.
-If a certain part is not moving as hoped, undo that part and draw it
again. Check often to ensure the Doodle moves as desired.

   29.) Finishing
-Once satisfied with your Doodle, select finish and give it a name.
-Select [name change] to rename a Doodle.

   30.) Part Restrictions
-There are limits to the number of parts for all Doodles. For example,
you can only have 1 body part, 1 head part, up to 6 arms, or 6 legs,
        etc.
-The message [Press triangle to select another part], appears if you
        attempt to exceed these.

   31.) Part Limit
-Doodle creations can consist of no more than 64 total parts.
-The message [Maximum part limit reached] appears if you attempt to
        exceed this limit.

   32.) Design Limit
-The number of designs that can be added to a Doodle creation is
        limited to 64.
-The message [Maximum design limit reached] appears if you attempt to
        exceed this limit.

   33.) Line Limit
-Win preliminary tournaments to increase Pengel's level and the total
number of lines that can be used in a Doodle creation.
-The message [Nothing more can be drawn] appears when the line limit is
        reached.

   34.) Line Length Limit
-The length of a single line drawn using a Pengel has limitations.
-A message [The line is too long] appears when the line length limit is
        reached.

   35.) Color Running Out
-The message [You do not have enough color] appears should you run out
of the selected color while drawing.
-The remaining amount of a particular color is displayed as a numerical
value on the bottom right of the Doodling mode screen.

   36.) Complex Shapes
-A message [The shape cannot be created] appears when the part you are
trying to draw is overly complex, or very small.
-If this message is displayed, try to simplify the design a bit.

   37.) Design Limitations
-The message [Design cannot extend further] appears should you try to
extend a design outside the edges of a part.
-When drawing designs make sure they do not extend outside the edges of
        a part.

   38.) Adding Weapons
-The message [Weapons can only go on arms] appears if you attempt to
attach a weapon to parts other than a Doodle's arms.

   39.) Setting Weapons
-The message [Place dot on arm to set weapon] appears if you begin
drawing a weapon without first placing a dot (connection point) on an
        arm.

   40.) Others' Doodles
-The message [You cannot undo this Doodle] appears if you attempt to
undo parts on a Doodle purchased in the marketplace, or created by a
        friend.
-Parts can be added to Doodles created by someone else, but not removed
        (undo).

   41.) Information Screen
-Press and hold the select button when drawing a Doodle to bring up the
        information screen.
-Details relating to the number of lines and parts used in a drawing,
along with other useful information is displayed.

   42.) Hint: Flying
-Attach large wings on both the left and right sides of a Doodle body
to give it the ability to fly.
-Adding additional parts to a Doodle that can fly may make it unable to
        do so after the addition.

   43.) Hint: Can't Fly?
-If your Doodle isn't able to fly even though it has wings, there could
        be several reasons why.
-The wings were not attached to the Doodle's body.
-The wings are too small, or only one wing was added.

   44.) Hint: Connections
-It is not necessary to have all parts that make up a Doodle creation
        connect to one another.
-Use connection points (dots) to invisibly link detached parts to a
        certain area on a Doodle.

   45.) Hint: Layering
-An easy way to add say, a wristband, to an arm part would be to use
the hard palette to wrap color around the desired area on the arm.
-Layering can also be used to hide say, a head part, within a wiggly,
        soft or hard part.

   46.) Hint: Placeholders
-If you are having difficulty placing a part where and how you want it,
start first by inserting a small placeholder part where you want the
        final part to be.
-Then check positioning and build off the placeholder part.

   47.) Hint: Movement
-The size, shape and number of legs on a Doodle all influence its
        movement.
-Large legs equate to slower overall movement, while small legs equate
        to faster overall movement.
-A Doodle with no legs bounces.

   48.) Hint: Bending Legs
-Suppose you want to draw a Doodle with a very tall body, but find that
there is no more room on the page to add legs, what do you do?
-The answer...bend the legs. Though they'll appear bent on the page,
they straighten out you remove the Doodle.

   49.) Hint: Fast Rotate
-Attaching one rotate part to another, that spins in the same
direction, doubles the speed at which it spins.
-Continue to attach more rotate parts to the others to get parts that
        spin even faster.

   50.) Hint: Other Hints
-The information in this encyclopedia should be considered a guide. Be
creative in your designs to discover other interesting part
        combinations and their results.
-What happens if a wiggle and rotate part are attached to each other?

   51.) Stats: 1
-View the vital stats of your Doodle creations in the Doodle book.

        Doodles have the most MP.

   53.) Stats: 3
-Attack: The higher this value, the more damage a Doodle can do.
-Defense: The higher this value, the less damage a Doodle receives when
        hit.
-These values are influenced by how a Doodle is drawn.

   54.) Stats: 4
-Agility: When both Doodles select the same skill, the one with the
        highest agility goes first.

The more color used, the better a Doodle's stats and skills.

   56.) Doodle Advancement
-Your Doodles can slowly raise their overall power by competing in
        battles/duels.
-However, adding new parts to a Doodle is often a better way of
        strengthening it.

   57.) Doodle Skills
-Highlight the [skills] menu option to view the skills available to the
        selected Doodle.
-Access the skill menu option (press X) to view the encyclopedia's
        explanation for the selected skill.

decides to use during that turn.
-If both select the same skill, then the Doodle with the highest
        agility goes first.

   4.) Offensive Skills
-The three general offensive skills a Doodle can use are:

damage output in the next turn.
-The charge skill can not be used unless either attack, magic or block
skill is used on previous turn.

   10.) Skill Restrictions
-Once a skill has been used, it requires a refresh period of one turn

energetic, and takes care of her little brother, Taro. She awaits her foster
father, Galileo’s return, and tosses bottles with notes asking for any
information on Galileo.

-Taro
Taro is a crybaby, but at age 6, becomes a progressively better Doodler.
He awaits his father’s return, along with Zoe. You can challenge Taro, he gets
better as the story unfolds.

knows where he went.

-Kiba
Kiba became the best Doodler after Galileo’s disappearance. He considers
Galileo his teacher, and is a trustworthy. People respect him, and he always
reminds the Main Character that Doodles are something to learn from. He is
kept a prisoner by the Guards to study Doodles for the kingdom.

-Guards
The employees of the kingdom. They tax the Main Arena, taking Color Gems.
They stick to a group, and are faithful to the kingdom.

I'm keeping this part as spoiler-free as possible.

Starting a new game begins the story...

Introduction of Color -Tale of Two Kings-
Long ago...the world was a place devoid of color. And so it remained until
the Spirit of Creation made four simple shapes using red, blue, green and
yellow. These shapes became...the Sun, Sea, Land and Wind. Afterwards...the
Spirit of Creation made two other shapes. The first was Mankind, possessed of a
free mind. The second...were Doodles, possessed of a free body. Humans were
able to create Doodles and Doodles made new colors. The world was filled with
color and the humans were happy. One day however...a king was born among the
humans. This king...in order to obtain more colors...enslaved the Doodles. But
in doing so...The human king deeply saddened the Doodle King. The Doodle King
pleaded with the Spirit of Creation. "Spirit...Please, do not let those whose
hearts are impure continue to create Doodles. If you grant this wish...I will
return to you both my body and all the colors under my control." The spirit
granted the wish...and from then on, only those who possessed a pure heart were
able to create Doodles. The Doodles were freed from their enslavement. But...
The cost was heavy. The Doodles lost their king and many of the world's colors
disappeared. Frustrated...The human king looked to control those humans still
able to create Doodles. In doing so...He turned one group of people against
another and brought misery upon the world.

"Wake Up!"
You look around and choose a name. Then, a Pengel flys down to you from a
tree. A mysterious voice (Narrator) tells you to draw a shape. This shape
guides you on your adventure, and will appear randomly throughout the game.
Enjoy the opening cut scence!

Zoe will give you your first tutorial on drawing Doodles.

Follow Zoe through the market. She will stop by Granny's and trade color
gems. Remember this, Granny is were you can trade your color gems for the
currency, gold color gems. Gold color gems can not be used to draw Doodles, but
can be used to purchase other people's Doodles, or buy paint brushes.

Now, follow Zoe to the Main Arena. You're about to get your first taste of
Doodle battles/duels. Once entering, Zoe allows you to use her Doodle, Quirp,
while she teaches you the basics of battling. Remember, Attack beats Block,
Block beats Magic, and Magic beats Attack. Think of Paper, Rock, and Scissors.

After the tutorial, its time for your Doodle to fight. Your opponent is
Pepe, and his Doodle, Dorag. This is a 1 vs. 1.
--------------------
Main Arena-Battle 1 |
--------------------
   Dorag-HP 51   MP 16   Magic Type
-Magic Attacks: Charge Seal 1, Shrink 1, and Attack Main 2

Comments-Should you lose, you'll instantly be placed against Pepe again,
till he is defeated. Its a very easy battle, however.

Spoils-Part Palette Arms, which allow you to draw up to 6 arms on your
Doodles, allowing them to use punching abilities. Also, your Pengel
levels up, and can draw more things.
-------------
End Battle 1 |
-------------
You'll be challenged to another battle right after you exit the Main Arena.
However, its best to go Home, and make a second Doodle, and also, touch up
your current Doodle.
