Introduction [#INT]

This FAQ came about as I was playing the PAL version
of the game and providing Quakertroy with info for his
Weapons FAQ. We noted how different the translation was
from the NA version. Metro3D handled the translation
for the EU release, and while some could argue that it
is not as good as Agetec's, some of names and terms
used were interesting. At least, it's commendable for
doing things differently, and trying to diversify the
non-unique items and giving them unique names. Where else
can you find a full set of Odor gear, and put it on
in an attempt to stink out all the residents of the
Ancient City! :)
The first section will be a list of all items, equipment
and magic spells found in the game. NA version's will
always be on the left, while PAL on the right. The order
is the virtually the same as when scrolling from top to
bottom on the "Arrange" menu, or left to right on the
Equipment screen. Same thing with magic, with defensive
spells listed first. In addition, you could use this
section as a checklist if you were trying to collect
everything in the game.
The second section will contain all the names for the
NPCs, as well as a section for all the different terms
and story elements found throughout NPC conversations
and journal/diary entries. Ideally, I would have wanted
to compile all the text for NPCs and from the journal,
but that would have been too much work.

Appendix [#APP]

Here you'll find all NPCs names in both versions (again,
NA names on the left, PAL on the right) as well the
different story elements and lore you can learn through
NPC conversations and journal/diary entries.
The biggest change of note in the PAL version is how
they treat Sword Master Septiego and Lord Myu's as one
and the same person; Sir Salvor. So, in the PAL version,
he is both the expedition leader and the Forest
Warriors' hero of legend.
I also noted that some of the NPCs names change when
they are in different states. For example; Adamo Hussein
was called "Kyle Jammar" when he's standing behind the
door in the Widda/Weavil prison. A similar thing happens
to Kyle Jammar when you first meet him in the forge.
This is most probably a bug. I am not sure if it's
present in the NA release.
