for the righteous.
 Fire
   Fire Ball - Level 1: MP3
This first level fire spell allows you to make a ball of fire in your
hands and hurl it at the enemy.

Monsters

Alchemine - It is an evil creature created by Orladin.  It has fire power and
resistance against magic.  It protects the maze palace of Orladin by sneaking
behind trespassers and killing them without a sound.
Crooked Demon - King Harvine created these evil creatures that possess the
power of wind.  Some lost control due to the existing power of the island, and
after sacrificing many soldiers; Harvine was forced to destroy them.
Green Slime - They hate direct sunlight and so live in dark, wet areas.  The
crescent axe and fire are the most effective weapons against them.  They have
antidote fluid inside, so if you're poisoned, let them bite you for a cure.
Grave Pot - It does not possess any means of direct attack.  Instead, it
gives out poison to anyone who comes into contact with it.  In case of direct
contact, the poison will prevail.  Its weakness is fire.
Grave Shadow - They began to appear after the King's transformation.  They
have no thought of their own, only scattered and fragmented thoughts with the
instinct to kill by the only means they have.
Guards - These semi-living creatures were created by Orladin to be his
servants.  Ever after the death of Orladin, they have been doing odd jobs.
They possess no offensive power but have strong life power.
Mantrap - A gigantic, carnivorous plant with many different sub-species.
Mantrap is mobile and preys on any living organism that produces heat.  Head
Eater, which can swallow a whole human being, is one variation of this plant.
Para Stool - A different variety of Stool, the Para Stool emits poison which
causes complete paralysis.  One must stay away from it by any means.  Effective
attacks are the same as the Stool.
Poison Red Eye - This is the other variation of the Red Eye.  It has an
equally nasty bite, but this one contains poison.  Like the Red Eye, its
weakness is the magical power of water.
Race - These are a stronger, more intelligent version of the Grave Shadow.
Race wonder around seeking to be embodied in the living.
Raymire - It is an evil creature created by Orladin to defend the stationary
posts.  It has water power and resistance against ordinary weapons.
Reaper - A living organism made up of several hands.  It is neither plant nor
animal.  Because of its affinity for people, gold coins and jewelry are often
discovered in it's stomach.
Red Eye - Before the Day of the Seal, is was a normal spider.  Since then, it
has increased in size to a huge monster that will come out of its nest to
attack people and other animals.  It's weakness is the magical power of water.
Salamanders - These are made by Thedek, Fire Mage, as a room decoration.
These decorations, after their master went into hiding, began to spew fire at
anything that moves.
Scythe - A demon summoned by Garnabus, Scythe has a high intelligence and can
use various magic attacks.  He attacks opponents with a large Scythe that
paralyzes enemies and then continues attacking them after they are stunned.
Skeletons - The bones of the ancient soldiers in Verdite are now controlled
by the minions of evil.  They have no thought or will of their own.  Some are
actually made out of clay that probably contained ancient bones of soldiers.
Skull Soldiers - Those knights who fought as soldiers of Verdite and died in
battle have been resurrected by the King to do his evil bidding.
Skull Trap - These traps have the shape of skeletons, but they are not real
bones - they were made by Orladin to cast the spell of darkness on intruders.
Stool - A poisonous mushroom, Stool's perimeter of attack is limited.  Don't
be fooled by its innocent appearance, it's VERY poisonous!  The best defense
against its poison is to have a weapon with a long reach, or to use magic.
Two Headed Grave Pot - A different variety of the Grave Pot, this one has two
heads instead of one to spew out poison alternately.  Its weakness is also
fire.
Undead Born - Unlike other skeletons, these are simply ghosts.  They lack
offensive power.  They were probably ordinary citizens before their death.
Virulents - These creatures were created by Garnabus to be his bodyguards.
They are defenseless against arrows.

Towns & NPCs (Non-Player Characters)

Quist - A few High Elves lived here, but thee were no humans.  On the Day of
the Seal, a few families moved here as they followed Leon to get farther from
the castle.

Christy Clements - She once had a business near the castle.  On the day of
the Seal, she followed Leon here, but her family fled to Granatyki.  She has
been longing to be reunited with her family and return to her life of optimism
and prosperity.
Jack Leininger - A resident of Verdite for over 90 years, Jack is determined
to stay even though evil abounds here.  Jack has gotten rather old and tends to
fall asleep in the middle of conversations.  He is a good source of
information.
Leon Shore - An infinite source of knowledge, Leon is the expert craftsman
who befriended Alexander on Melanat.  He has been protecting the Prince for 10
years.  If necessary, he is willing to give his own life for the success of
Lyle's quest.
Rene Thomas - Owner for 50 years, he remains at the inn even though business
is dead.  The King stayed here once, but Rene never mentions it now.  A bit
neurotic these days, he now sucks on a dry pipe.  There's nothing in it he's
just strange.

Small Shrine of the Elves - Before most of the Elves fled to other countries,
they used to worship Seath in these small shrines.

The Statue of the Hero - This is the statue of Silviera.  He was a great
commander and saved many lives - The citizens carved this statue to honor their
great hero.  Those who were responsible for erecting this monument have mostly
disappeared or died.

Quist Cemetery - This cemetery contains the tomb of Noel, Queen of Verdite.
Many good people have lost their lives during these harsh times, but her's has
been felt the most throughout the kingdom.

Ancient Battleground - On this battlefield, the garrison led by Silviera fought
fiercely against the evil creatures.  Also in this very location, King Alfred
once led the Verdite Army against the first wave of evil creatures many years
ago.

Ed Edmund - Once a gravedigger in a nearby village, he promised Silviera that
he would care for the fallen soldiers.  He's not getting paid to do this, so
don't be surprised if he offers to sell you an item he lifted from a dead
soldier.
Marilyn Miller - She closed her northern beach inn to go in search of her
son.  She lost contact with him and regrets not giving him the charm she made
for him before he left.  It would protect his soul if he was ever caught.  She
holds a great reward.

The Garrison Barracks - The garrison, led by Commander Silviera, used these
barracks for their housing.  Even those who had never used weapons were
recruited to this army, and most never returned from battle.

James Seward McCain V - Once a proud soldier, he is now bitter and angry over
his plight.  He was wounded in battle and is angry that he didn't die from his
injury.  He wishes for death, but for the sake of honor, he can't take his own
life.

Training Center - Silviera was a skilled craftsman when it came to making
traps.  He built this chamber of traps to train newly recruited solders, and
offered prizes for soldiers who could defeat them.  No one was ever able to win
a prize.

The Forest of Varde - This used to be a part of Seath's Forest and many Elves
lived here.  Most of them moved to Melanat Island and, after the radical change
in the King, the rest fled to other countries.  Varde, Chief of the Woods,
remains here alone.

Robert Shreve - He writes bad poetry and songs about historical events.  The
King entrusted him with the Eye of Ichrius but a fairy stole it from him.  He's
generally spineless, but he did wait 17 years for your mercy.
Varde - Chief of Woods, Varde remains in the forest.  He was a friend of
Ichrius, and he likes to play tricks on humans - particularly spineless cowards
like the King's messanger Robert Shreve.  He holds a very important item and
map.

The town of Ralugo - This was the birthplace of King Alfred.  The stone
monument at the inn was erected here at the time of his coronation.  A handful
of people who failed to flee now reside here.

Airon Green - His father was killed in battle a few years ago, but his mother
hasn't told him.  He treasures the dagger his father made for him.  He's
adventurous and mischievous.  He collects rare items when he's not hunting for
trouble.
Jamie Porter - As a soldier in the garrison, he fled during the final battle.
An arbalest bolt grazed his arm and that's his excuse for fleeing in terror.
Guilt for his cowardice led him to gluttony.  He's looking for a chance to
redeem himself.
Janan Green - In her youth, she tried to get into the men's garrison.  She
was caught and publicly humiliated by the King.  Now her husband has died in
battle.  Needless to say, she despises the King and wishes him (and the royal
family) dead.
Jane Cowley - She was a talented stonemason in the north, but her anger
brought her here where she dresses as a boy in hopes of infiltrating the
garrison.  (I guess she hasn't met Janan Green.)  If she succeeds, she plans to
kill the King.
Joe Santos - He escaped from the mental hospital in Granatyki.  His "vision"
from Vallad told him to come here in search of the key to the treasure of the
Light Family.  He's gotten better; he used to think he was a glass of orange
juice.
Lyn Reinhardt - She is an elf who used to visit the castle with her father.
He went to Garan to look for Promeus and never returned.  She plans to go in
search of him.  You and she were friends as children.
Mark Johnson - Priests of the past have suffered much from kings, and so no
longer keep written records.  Mark had to memorize every known item in the
universe.  He rebinds joke books in leather covers in his spare time, but he is
very wise and respected.
Michael Hansen - As the birthplace of the King, Michael's hotel used to be
packed with visitors.  He's a good source of information for this reason.  His
father had a statue of King Alfred carved in front of the inn but someone has
cut off its face.

The Palace of King Harvine - King Harvine is the only King who ever
successfully united the three kingdoms of the North.  He built this palace as
his home away from home and also as a military post for the peripheral areas.

The Palace of Wind - No one may enter this palace without the power of wind,
John Creel will make sure of that!  Once inside, demons conjured by Thedek
await trespassers and magical candlesticks await the sacred Flame of Harvine.
John Creel - Guardian of the Palace of Wind for over 300 years, his one wish
has always been to have a puppy.  But alas, King Harvine wouldn't allow it,
poor John.  If someone can re-illuminate the palace, maybe his wish will come
true.

The Path of Poison - Among many underground pathways in Verdite, this is the
oldest.  It is thus called because the poison from the earth permeates the
tunnel.  The members of the highly prosperous Light Family used to frequent
this place.

The Temple of Orladin - This temple within the maze is where Orladin spent his
whole life after receiving his power in the Place of Beginning.  He tried to
build something here, but eventually went back to the Place of Beginning to
die.
