This is my first FAQ or guide, so if anything is not as
good as some other FAQ you've seen, please bear with me.

I've seen a lot of people having question about this game,
mostly about how to obtain certain Mobile Suit(MS),
some having trouble understanding the mission objective
due to the lack of understanding of Japanese.
I assume people who play this game will either be a fan of
the Gundam series, or at least know about Gundam.
So I won't explain any related terminology.
This guide contain the mission objectives and some hints
that may help people to get the 'S' rank for the mission,
and the methods of obtaining all the MS.

D-pad: basic movement, very self explainlatory,
Up: walk forward,
Down: walk backward,
Left: turn left,
Right: turn left.
pressing any direction two time will perform a quick dash
to that direction. If you hold the button the second time you
press it, you will continue dashing in that direction till you
thruster (show at the bottom right-hand corner) overheat,
which will cause you not be able to perform any dashing or
jumping till the thruster recover (the recovery time is vary
between MS).
Circle button: Defence
Cross button: Booster/Jump
Triangle button: Melee or better see as using you sword or axe ...etc
(Can do a combo if you keep pressing it, 3 times only)
Special Melee Skill 1: press up, down then triangle, your MS will
perform a lower attack, good to attack enemy on the ground, such as tank.
Special Melee Skill 2: press triangle when dash will perfom dash attack,
then can continue to use normal triangle combo
Square button: Shoot
L1: Side walk to the left, pressing it twice can also do a side dash.
R1: Side walk to the right, pressing it twice can also do a side dash.
L2: Lock on or off
R2: open sub menu
R2+Circle: Formation change, there are 3 types:
-Arrow Formation: The default one, your 2 teammate will stay behind you.
-Wing Formation: Your 2 teammate will stay infront of you.
-Spread out: Your 2 teammate will spread out and attack enemy on their
own.
R2+Cross: Dash tackle, will make enemy stun for a short while.
R2+Triangle: Sub weapon, usually useless.
R2+Square:Special attack, can charge, but you can't move during charging,
best use to shoot big object, such as Gaw.
L3: Camera angle change.
R3: View change.
Left stick: move your view point.
Right stick: change lock-on target.
Select button: Switch between normal and long range radar.
(This will be assessible after a few mission, you will get the
notice from your friendly communication lady)
Start button: Pause the game and show the whole map of the mission,
very useful to identify the location of enemy. You can also select
options like retry, if you think you didn't do too well in the mission.

Miscellaneous things
..............................
Do not stay in front of the enemy MS you just destory, cos it will blow up,
and you can get quite some damage from that.
On the team set-up screen, select your teammate
and press square button will cause that teammate
to stand by. Which means he won't be in the mission.
Holde L2 and R2 during selection of MS (hold till you finished weapon selection)
for alternative color for the MS. You should hear a sound when you are
successful.
During VS computer mode, your opponent MS will be piloted by the corrsponding
pilot from the actual Gundam animation series.
Machine gun type weapon will autofire if you hold the button.
This apply to both main and sub weapon of it's kind.
(The sub weapon of the 2 Z'Gok's head missle can autofire as well)
On the MS selection screen, if you see a star on the pictuse of a MS,
it means your team can only have that MS for only 1 member. So either
you use it or select a teammate to use it.

The following are the list of the MS included in this game.
I've included the method to obtain all the MS here, as well as
a short description of each MS I kinda translated form the
MS Viewer option in the game.
I will not included the different weapon of each MS, you can check
them out yourself. I will mention some useful sub-weapon for
certain MS though.
If you can't see the Japanese character in this section, please make sure
when you download this file, you select 'Unicode' in the Encoding section
of the 'save as' screen.

E.F.S.F side:

RGM-79: GM
you start off with this one, pretty much the worse MS on EFSF side.
Description: Gundam's real combat data used to develop this mass production
type MS. It got the advantages of multi-purpose use and easy production,
different variation had aslo been developed.
RGM-79[G]: GM[G]
A better version of GM, or better known as ground type GM, you will get it after
mission 2.
Description: Developed for ground combat, mass produce before the GM.
It's active field is restricted to on the ground (earth), perform
somewhat better than GM in place have gravity (ie earth).
RGM-79D: GM[Type D]
A slightly better version of GM, will get it after mission 1.
Description: One of the later model of GM, used in the North Pole base,
it's a variation of GM than can substain extreme cold weather. Because
it is a later model, it's balance and basic performance is better than GM.
RGM-79SP: GM Sniper
Got a powerful beam gun, especially the chagred special attack. Get it after
Mission 7.
Description: Used for experienced pilot, armor and power had been upgraded,
top custom variation of GM. Equip with high power long range beam rifle,
therefore the name of sniper.
RX-79BD-1: GM Blue Destiny 1
A ok MS, get it if you got B rank for all 14 missions.
It have a system called EXAM system, will activate if life is below 50%, then
you pretty much can dash all you want, and your attack will be more powerful.
But since it's basically a very good version of GM, so the defense isn't too
high,
so although the EXAM system is good, but you might soon be in danger when
it's activated, cos your life is below 50%, so if you are not careful
then........
Description: A prototype MS, equip with Anti-New Type OS, the EXAM system.
Base on the ground type gundam, so have high performance, however, the
EXAM system have many mysteries, pilot needs to be careful on use.
RX-75: Guntank
You start off with this one also, a slow MS. But it's melee weapon,
well, not exactly melee, cos it don't have any close melee attack,
instead it's a 40 ammo machine gun thing which can reduce enemy
life quick, especial when you are up against it. Personally I think
it's the most annoying enemy when you playing on ZEON side.
Description: Design for EFSF's first MS development project 'Operation V'
long range support type MS. Can inflict high damage like high power tank.
RX-77-2: Guncannon
Get it after mission 3, a good MS for early part of the game.
It don't have a sword or axe, so it use it's hand to do the melee
attack, quite fun to watch during combo, it's like it know kung fu.
Description: Another desion for the 'Operation V', mid-range support
type MS. Euip with heavy armor and weapon, therefore mobility is lower.
RX-79[G]: Gundam[G]
AKA Ground type gundam, get it if you got A rank in mission 5.
You will use it till you get Ez-8 or RX-78-2 Gundam.
It's sub-weapon is some kind of flash, when use up close will cause
enemy to stun for a short while, good to follow up with melee combo.
Description: Ground combat use mass production type gundam. Restricted
to use on the ground only, because of it's still a gundam type, it's still
quite rare, it equip with low cost bullet type weapon but have many
different kind of weapon to use.
RX-79[G] Ez-8: Ez-8 (Extra Zero Eight)
A tune up version of Gundam[G], good one to use if you don't have
the RX-78-2 Gundam yet. You will get it if you use the RX-79[G] ground
type gundam for all 3 of your team and play 6 mission.
Just make up your team all with the RX-79[G] as soon as you get it, and
finish 6 missions, and you will have the Ez-8 to use afterward.
(might need to finish the first 10 missions for Ez-8 to appear?! So use
all 3 Gundam[G] to finish mission 5-10 is recommended)
Description: A special MS for the far east MS teams, the 08th MS team.
It's a full tune up version of the damaged Gundam[G] used by the team
leader(Shiro Amada), it's look and fixed weapon is new and different.
RX-78-2 Gundam
Very good MS, you will have it after mission 10, basically
you will use it to try to get S rank for earlier mission.
One of it's main weaponthe 'Hyper Hammer' is a fun thing
to use, but the hit accuracy maybe low.
Description: Core MS for the 'Operation V', equip with beam weapon
therefore it have high fire power, high mobility and excellent close
combat ability, it's a high performance multi-purpose MS.
RX-78NT-1: Alex
One of the best MS on this side, move very fast. A sepcial MS
designed for Newtype, suppose to be send and pilot by Amuro Ray,
but got destory by Zeon before that happen.
You will have it if your army class is 中佐, and you need to have
a few S rank, I am not sure how many, but try to get as many as
you can. Also you MUST got S rank on mission 13.
Description: Developed to be the custom MS for the New Type Amuro Ray.
Equip with 360 degree monitor, with magnetic coating, a super high
performance MS developed with EFSF's latest technology.
RX-78-6: Mudrock
One of the best MS as well, got powerful cannon on it's back (It's Special
attack).
To get it, your class have to be 大佐, and MUST got S rank for
mission 10 and 11 (possibly just mission 10), and you have to
use RX-78-2 Gundam for yourself for a number of time.
(Just use the Gundam till you get it)
Description: A gundam designed to be an overall upgrade of the RX-78 type.
added two beam cannon on it's shoulder. Mobility is lower but compensated
by equip with a giant backpack.
RX-78GP01: Zephyranthes
Just call it GP-01, basically the best MS in the game, fast and powerful.
You need to get A rank for all 14 mission to get it.
Description: The first gundam development after the 'One Year War'.
Using E-pac for it's beam rifle and with beam endurence shield, it's the
latest super high performance MS.
MS-06J: ZakuII [J Type]
Useless thing, just a Zaku II for EFSF side. Get it if you got A rank on mission
5.
Description: See ZEON side.

ZEON side:

MS-05B: Zaku I
You start off with it, useless.
Description: Memorable, the first production type MS in the human history.
Lost the importance when Zaku II been developed, then mostly use for supply
team afterwards. Also generally known as 'Old Zaku'.
MS-06J: Zaku II (J Type)
You start off with it, basically what you will use at the start.
Description: In the beginning of the war, the main multi-purpose MS of ZEON,
can equip with different weapon and various variation had been developed
as well. it's like the representation of ZEON.
MS-06FS: Zaku II [FS Type]
A better Zaku II, you need to use Zaku II for 3 times
or more and your class needs to be 少佐
Description: A sepcial tune up version of the Zaku II F type, used by
Carma Zabi. The main difference to other Zaku is the 40mm vulcan on it's head,
like the J type, got high mobility under gravity.
MS-06S: Zaku II [Type S]
AKA Char's Zaku, the best Zaku II, suppose to be 30% faster
ans stronger than normal Zaku II in the animation, but not that
obvious in the game. Get it after mission10.
Description: A commender use custom type, have 30% high output than normal
Zaku II, use by the 'Red Comet' Char Aznable.
MS-06FZ: Zaku II [Type FZ]
Better than normal Zaku II, got it after mission 4.
Description: With all the different type of Zaku II, it's the latest
development. It's booster had been increase in size, which improve mobility
and can perform short hover movement. Reaction time improve, a balanced MS.
MS-07B: Gouf
Better MS than Zaku II, get it after mission 2, pretty much
the MS to use till you got a better one.
It's sub-weapon heat rod is quite good. Use it up close then
slash is good. It's special attack is also the heat rod
Description: Developd for ground combat, the successor of the
Zaku II. Equip with melee weapon such as the heat rod and heat sword,
also it's armor and mobility had been improved compare to Zaku II.
MS-07B-3: Gouf Custom
A slightly better version of Gouf, you need to have S rank
on mission 5, and your class is 大尉, and you need to
use Gouf for 3 times or more.
Also got heat rod for it's sub-weapon, and it's special attack is
heat rod as well.
Description: Equip with the minimised version of heat rod, 'heat wire',
also have the gatling gun(on it's shield) as optional weapon.
A custom type MS which able to solve problems with the normal
MS-07B Gouf. It have very strong close combat ability.
MS-08TX[EXAM]: Efreet Custom
A good MS, you need to get all B rank for all 14 mission
to get it. Also equip with EXAM system, activate when life below 50%.
It's better than the Blue Destiny I think, but still be careful on your life
when
the EXAM is activated. I think it looks cool with 2 heat saber.
Description: Close combat use MS. Base on Efreet, a prototype equip with
the Anti-New Type OS, EXAM system. Fixed heavy weapon added (lots of missiles),
and equip with 2 giant heat sword is it's disdinction.
MS-09: Dom
You next MS to use after Gouf, get it after mission 4.
It also got the flash sub-weapon, use it up close, then slash!!
Description: Ground use mass production MS. With very heavy armor, nuclear
hover unit, so high speed movement is possible. A main force for ZEON at
the later part of the war.
MS-09F/TROP: Dom Tropen
A better version of Dom, get it after mission 10.
Got the flash sub-weapon as well, you know want to do with it.
Description: Tropical area use variation of Dom. Improve on it's
booster or hover unit, so it's more durable and fast. it's performance
is better than the normal Dom.
MSM-04: Acguy
One of the water/ground type MS, get it if you got A rank in mission 4.
it's the wrose of it's kind, it basically uses Zaku's parts to produce.
Description: Use common parts with Zaku II. Esay to produce and maintain.
A water/ground type MS. Maily use for special work teams.
MSM-03: Gogg
Another water/ground type, get it after mission 9.
Description: Water/ground type MS. Can endure high water pressure with
heavy armor. The first ZEON MS to equip with Mega-Particle Cannon.
Best suited for combat in water, not too good when on ground.
MSM-07: Z'Gok
Another water/ground type, also get it after mission 2.
It's sub-weapon fire missiles from it's head, can shoot out quick fast,
hold the button for autofire, good against slow enemy.
Description: A water/ground type with high mobility on the ground.
Equip with melee use claws and mega-particle cannon of it arms.
A very good balanced water/ground type MS.
MSM-07S: Z'Gok [S Type]
AKA Char's Z'Gok, a better Z'Gok, faster, get it if you use
Char's Zaku II for more than 3 times, and your class needs to be 大尉.
Description: An improved mobility custom type Z'gok, used by commender,
used by Char Aznable when he's in the Jaburo mission.
MSM-10: ZOCK
A water/ground type, with powerful beam cannon, but move very slow.
Get it after mission 10
Description: A hugh water/ground type MS. Equip with 9 mega-particle
cannon,it have absloute fire power. It's a MS that have the feature
of a Mobile Armor (MA).
MSM-03C: Hygogg
A water/ground type, get it after mission 9.
Description: An overall improved design of Gogg. It improve the problem
with ground mobility of Gogg, it's under water speed and travel distant
also been improved. However, the advantage of the heavy armor of Gogg is
not carry into Hygogg.
MSM-07E: Z'Gok Experiment
Also a water/ground type, get it after mission 10.
Description: AN improved version of Z'Gok. It close combat ability,
booster ability and the output of it's mega-particle cannon, overll
performance had been improved, used for special mission and mainly
useb by team leader.
YMS-16M: Xamel
Can view as ZEON's Guntank, but better, still slow in my view.
But got a powerful and hugh cannon on it's back.(It's special attack)
Get it if your class is 少佐 and got A rank for mission 14.
Description: Long range support type, say to be semi-moveable
cannon base. Equip with giant nuclear hover system, so it got high
mobility. However, it's main cannon need to be use in a long range, which
could be difficult at times, but it got high fire power.
MS-18E: Kampfer
One of the best ZEON MS, move fast.
It's alternative color looks cool!
Get it if you got A rank for all 14 missions.
Description: Prototype force attack use MS. Equip with many high output
booster, a high performance MS with many custom weapon. With the sacrifice
of armor, it's developed as high mobility hit and away type.
MS-14G: Gelgoog [G Type]
Ground type Gelgoog, the other best ZEON MS.
Get it if you got B rank for mission 11 or clear it twice.
Description: ZEON's main force at the end of the war, said to be the
exceptional design during the end of the 'One Year War'. The [G] type
is the ground combat variation of the Gelgoog, it's the melee weapon
change from the normal beam weapon to the beam naginata.

|1.3 Mission Guide|

Here I will explain what each mission is about, so for those who
don't know any Japanese can know what to do. Also included
the guide to get S rank for each mission.
Also to get S rank, sometime you need to reply the stage, as
when you replay the stage, there are more enemy for you to
destory in order to get the S rank.
Also, fast time and high on life is a major factor to get S rank.
However the life of the other 2 MS in your team is not a factor,
they can both die and you still got S rank.
Depend on how good you are at this type of game, this game could be
a bit short, I finished it (All MS and S rank) in four days. But I do still
replay it just for fun and possibly get better records and work on this FAQ.

EFSF side:

Mission 1:
Objective: Destory enemies.
Guide: Just kill all, including those tank thing that have 2 parts.
Be quick and high on life to get S.
Mission 2:
Objective: Defend the 'Big Tray'.
Guide: You have to defend the Big Tray, the yellow big battle ship thing,
might need to replay for extra enemy to get S rank.
Mission 3:
Objective: Destory enemy MS teams and destory enemy Gaw that carries important
materials.
Guide: Kill eveyone in sight and shot down the Gaw (the big purple plane). Be
fast and
high on life to get S.
You can actually jump on the Gaw (also other big thing), good for a quick
attack, usually take
1 or 2 fully charged special attack (depend on what MS you using)to shot it
down, quite fun
when you destory it and you are still up there 'riding' on it till it hit the
grounds,
but it waste time.
Mission 4:
Objective: Prevent enemy teams join up, destory enemy MS teams.
Guide: Replay the mission, kill everyone, include the Gouf Custom
that appears to have battle with an ally Ez-8.
Mission 5:
Objective: Destory an unknow MA that had neen spotted.
Guide: Kill everyone, remain high on life, kill the MA(Azamu) that
appears later. Beware of the little thing it let out, if you let it go
above you, it will create some sort of electric web thing
that will hurt you BAD!
Mission 6:
Objective: Find a lost ally MS and help him leave the area.
Guide: Kill the first wave of enemies and goto around the
north west corner quickly and you should find your defence
target, I think it's a GM[D], do not let it get destory
and just kill all enemy.
Mission 7:
Objective: Defend Jaburo base's ground entry.
Guide: To get S, replay, and you need to shot down 4 Gaw to get S,
so don't can carry away to wipe out all enemy MS, cos when you
kill all enemy MS before the second or later Gaw appears, the mission
will over, and you won't get S rank, so wait a bit for each Gaw to appear.
Mission 8:
Objective: Defend Jaburo base's inside, defend gate E-22.
Guide: Do not let enemy destory the gate. Replay for more enemy
to get S, just be careful and remain high on life and quick.
Mission 9:
Objective: Search and destory enemy material storage points and
destory enemy ground battle ship 'Gallop'.
Guide: Destory all those tents and the thing inside it,
and kill all enemy MS and the Gallop.
Might need to replay for more enemy.
Mission 10:
Objective: Prevent enemy space ship 'Zanzibar' lift off, destroy Zanzibar's
bridgre.
Guide: Replay the mission, kill everything, careful on life, then shot the
bridge
of the Zanzibar, it's represented by a red target, you can destory a few
cannon on the Zanzibar but DO NOT shoot the ship's bottom, cos it will
blow up and it will cause the mission fail! Make sure you destory those cannon
in front of the Zanzibar before the Zock appear, otherwise, with is powerful
beam cannon and those cannon at your back, you might get into trouble.
Mission 11:
Objective: To destory enemy MS teams and take back the base.
Guide: Replay the mission, kill everything including those
tanks and cannons, and the Efreet Custom that appears later.
Mission 12:
Objective: Capture (Shot down?) enemy new weapon and destory enemy MS teams.
Guide: Replay, kill everything, shot down the MA (Apsaras II) that appear later,
do not stand in front of the MA, when it appear, either goto it's side or back
and shoot. Just be careful on life and be quick should get you a S.
Mission 13:
Objective: Defend the North Pole Base and defend the Newly developed MS 'Alex'.
Guide: Replay, kill everything including the Kampfer
and don't let Alex get destory.
Mission 14:
Objective: Defend secret nuclear base.
Guide: Replay, kill everything. High on life and quick time will get you a S.

ZEON side:

Mission 1:
Objective: To destory the transport cargo ship 'Medea'.
Guide: Basically just to shot down Medea, it's a yellow plane thing
appear after a while from the NE corner.
To get S rank you should replay with a better MS such as Gelgoog,
kill everything at the start, it helps if you can shot down those
3 little plane appear just before the first Medea appears as well.
But don't get carry away after you shot down the first Medea,
don't kill all the other MS yet, leave one, then wait for the 2
another Medea, cos you need to shot down 3 Media to get S.
Mission 2:
Objective: To destory a spy MS.
Guide: Just kill anyone in sight, you can get S rank in the first go, I did.
Mission 3:
Objective: Destory the 'Big Tray'.
Guide: You need to destory the big yellow battle ship thing called Big Tray.
I think you need to replay it for more enemy to destory to get S.
Mission 4:
Objective: Defend the Gaw that carry important material.
Guide: Kill everyone and defend the Gaw. Might need to replay for more enemy as
well.
Mission 5:
Objective: Support allies retreat from Europe.
Guide: Just kill everyone, you might see an Ez-8, you need to kill it as well to
get S.
Might need to replay for that as well.
Mission 6:
Objective: Search and destory the ground entry of EFSF's Jaburo base.
Guide: This is I think one of the hardest mission. You need to destory the
ground entry which is on the SW side of the map, quite easy to find,
but to get S rank, you need to destory the RX-78-2 Gundam that
appears later (might need to replay for that) and remain high on life.
May be a bit hard to do, just keep trying.
Mission 7:
Objective: Support the Jaburo mission, to destory enemy cannon and dome.
Guide: You have to destory all the cannon and dome (those round house thing).
This to me is the hardest mission, I retry so many times till I finally got S
rank.
Replay, destory those cannon and dome as you go along, but leave one out,
(either one is fine, but I like to leave out a dome, I leave out the first one I
see.)
cos as soon as you destory them all, mission end.
{My way}
At the start of the mission, use the spread out formation, then dash forward
till
you see the first dome and cannon, destroy the cannon, leave the dome then go
on to other targets and switch back to arrow or wing formation, that way you can
safely leave out the first dome without your teammate accidentally destory it
for you.
Also be sure to destory the door on the SW side as well, then go on kill eveyone
in sight, you should get S if you kill enough MS.
The most annoying enemy are those Guntank!!!
Here is a trick to kill Guntank without much problem, have Guntank in sight,
just when you can lock on, not up close, then jump into the air and shot,
they are pretty much a sitting duck!
Mission 8:
Objective: Destory the inside of the Jaburo base, destory gate E-22.
Guide: Basically the mission wants you to destory the gate/door
on the east side, there are two of them you will see the other one
when you destory the first. To get S, replay the mission, you need
to remain high on life and destory as many MS as fast as you can.
If you are good enough, a Guncannon and Guntank pilot by
Kai and Hayato (from the actual gundam animation)will appear,
you will know when you see a face appear around the top right hand
corner when you fight them. Kill them and the others should give you the
'S', but time and life are important as well.
Mission 9:
Objective: Defend material storage points and the ground battle ship 'Gallop'.
Guide: Kill everyone, don't let Gallop get destory.
Remain high on lif and you should get S rank.
Mission 10:
Objective: Defend the Base and support the lift off of 'Zanzibar'.
Guide: Basically just kill everyone! Replay for the extra enemies I think.
Mission 11:
Objective: Defend the base.
Guide: Same as mission 10, kill everyone, replay and maintain high on life.
Mission 12:
Objective: Reclaim the MA (Apsaras II) that had been capture by enemy.
Guide: Another kill all mission, so again high on life, kill everyone.
Mission 13:
Objective: Attak the North Pole base of EFSF, and destory their new MS.
Guide: Again, kill all, high on life, must kill Alex, and replay for extra
enemy.
Mission 14:
Objective: Attack enemy's secret nuclear base.
Guide: Another kill all mission. Replay, kill all the little tank first, then go
on with
all the MS, must kill GP-01, beware the GM sniper at the last!!!
{My way}
I use Kampfer myself arm with the bazooka, it's ammo is the exact amount of
those tanks, I shot down all the tanks, start from those on the north side, the
go east, then south, by the time I finished all those tanks, those enemy MS are
near, so I then switch to my sword and just slash every enemy MS (GP-01
included)
afterward. Be careful don't get shot by them cos you need to be high on life
to get S rank. Use wing formation so your teammate will be in front and possibly
be the target of those GM sniper, then you can just go on and kill them without
too much risk.

Just in case anyone wondering how many enemy they have to kill
or how many point will get them a S rank, I will post my records
here as a reference. [ Of course I got all S! :) ]
The records below are only for reference purposes, please don't
e-mail me if you get better results than mine, cos it's not a competition.
I don't think I will updated the results either, although I did get
some new records.
Also I found out that those special bonus seem to be related to those
enemy that have multi-parts for you to destory, such as the GAW, Gallop,
Big Tray. If you destory all the other parts of them then destory it, you
will get the special bonus. So that's why some stage got special bonus,
some don't. But this is just what I think, might not be true, but sounds
good to me. So, do try to destory all their extra/optional parts.
