If you clicked on this guide wondering, "What the heck is this guide about?",
then this section is for you. If you already are familiar with Guitar Hero
related terms, abbreviations and such, than feel free to skip onto the later
sections.

~PURPOSE OF THIS GUIDE~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The purpose of this guide is to help you figure out an order on how to get
Full Combos. I am providing you with several options and lists so you can decide
which list fits your skills the best.

~FULL COMBO~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Basically, a full combo is when you hit 100 percent of the notes in a song
without any extra strums. Simple enough, right? It is important to know that
achieving 100 percent on a song is not the same as a full combo. It is very
possible that if you are going for a full combo you will strum an extra time,
while still hitting all the notes. This is not considered a full combo.

~TERMINOLOGY USED IN THIS GUIDE~

1. FC- When I use the abbreviation "FC", I am referring to the term Full Combo.
If you are unsure of what a Full Combo is, read the above section of the guide.
2. HOPO- Refers to the term "Hammerons and Pulloffs".
3. Scorehero- Scorehero is the largest Guitar Hero fansite on the internet as of
today. Thousands of people enter their scores and compete for dominance on the
website (Scorehero.com). A moderator by the name of "Deimos" has created an
official list of how many people have FCd certain songs. This is where the
Scorehero FC list comes from.
That should be all I'm using....everything else is pretty self explanatory.

1.2- Frequently Asked Questions [FAQ]
-------------------------
Here are some questions that a lot of people might have, or I have seen a lot
of people ask. This is a handy section if you are what some refer to as a
"noob".
Q: I've FCd song X but can't FC song XX, even though song XX is higher on the
FC List. Your guide fails!
A:This is common. Some songs are easy to FC for some people while hard to FC
for others. Take the list with a grain of salt.
Q: I need help on FCing song X! Help!
A: If you have already checked my tips and don't have the answer you are
looking for, hit me up an email and I'll give you a more detailed walkthrough.
Q: Why does your guide have so many punctuation and spelling errors?
A: Ok so no one has asked this....but if you find any contact me!
Q: Why isn't there a User FC list for easy?
A: Since the majority of players looking for FCs are somewhat experienced,
easy usually isn't that important. However, there is a Scorehero Statistic
list for Easy, but it is not that accurate. This is because the majority of
players on Scorehero can FC most Easy songs.
Q: What is Scorehero?
A: Scorehero is the largest Guitar Hero fansite on the internet as of today.

Q: Are you planning on doing anymore guides?
A: Maybe one day I will expand this guide so that it will include all the Guitar
Hero games, but at the moment I am not sure how I would post that on GameFaqs.
Q: I've FCd song X but I don't have the top score. Why?
A: Much more goes into achieving a top score than just FCing it. This leads to
the next section............

1.3 Going Beyond Full Combos [GBFC]
-------------------------
Ok, so you are getting pretty good at Guitar Hero and have a growing amount of
FCs. When you go to check your scores on the leaderboard, you see that you have
4 millionth place on Closer. You say to yourself "Wait, didn't I Fc this?".
You now go into shock and have a heart attack.
Calm down! There is a reason you don't have a top score. If you want to improve
your score, you can use the following techniques.

Star Power Paths
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Arguably the most important thing you need while going for a good score
is a Star Power path. A Star Power path is a set of instructions that
tells you when to use Star Power. Not using one of these paths can result
in your score not being as high due to the fact you are not using Star Power on
the most point heavy parts of the songs.
1. Finding a Path:
Finding a Star Power path is fairly easy, although I haven't seen many on
Gamefaqs. They can be found under the "Starpower Path Discussion" on
Scorehero.com. However, some of the paths posted on this site are
nearly impossible to do, which is why I prefer the website
www.bradleyzoo.com. This website allows you to choose which Star Power
path you want to use, and this site has not failed me yet.
2. Reading a Path:
In order to effectively use your new found path, you will have to know how to
read one. Here I will give you an example of a No-Squeeze path, which is
usually an easy path to pull off.
Slow Ride Star Power Path: 2-2-3-2
Upon first glance you may not understand, but it's actually very simple to
read this path. This means that you would have to activate star power for
the first time after you achieve 2 star powers. For the next activation
you would do the same. However, for the third activation, you would get
three star powers and then activate star power. You would end the path by
activating after 2 star powers.
Unfortunately, it is not as simple as this. Sometimes you will have to
wait before you activate star power. For an example, let's use the same path:
2-2-3-2
Activations:
#1 From meas 19.3750 (GR note) to meas 24.6250 (GR note)
#2 From meas 45.2814 (GR sust) to meas 50.3760 (RYO sust)
#3 From meas 84.0000 (GYB note) to meas 91.3210 (GYB sust)
#4 From meas 107.9990 (YB sust) to meas 113.0952 (GYB sust)
If you are going for a close to optimal score, you will want to look at
this information. Using this information, you will have to look at the
notechart for the song to see where to activate. For example, for the
first activation, you would get 2 starpowers, look for measure 19, and
activate on the Green-Red chord.

Squeezing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To be honest, I don't know much about squeezing, and can't do it myself.
It is by far the most difficult skill in the game. However, I can give
you a short explanation. Squeezing is when you activate your star power
slightly late, and then play the last note in your star power activation
slightly early. Its a hassle to pull off, but is necessary, if you want
a first place score.
Good luck on this, I haven't tried it too much, but it is somewhat
commonly used.

this while not overstrumming, this song is really easy. It's
tricky, but not too bad.

if you play on the PS2. I know that on expert the lag can cause
misses, so I am assuming it is the same for hard.

Ahh, Raining Blood. Many say that this is the hardest song
in the game next to Through The Fire and Flames. The song
opens up with some slow hold notes, but soon you will be
introduced to some fast burst strumming. After this, you
are bombarded by possibly the scariest looking group of notes
in the game, Mosh 1. Mosh 1 are groups of 4 notes that rain
down on the screen at a break neck pace. I attempt to combo
this beast by strumming the begining of each 4 note section.
After Mosh 1, you know have Verse 1. This section contains a
lot of fast strumming followed by chords. Take this section
into practice until it clicks. Believe me, this helped me ALOT
for this song.
The song then has some easy parts, until you get to the end
which contains some of the fastest trills in the game. The
only way to combo this end section is tapping.
