INTRODUCTION
Ah Guitar Hero. Everyone loves Guitar Hero don't they? Well this is my
second walkthrough, or whatever you want to call it. Really all I can
do is offer some tips and lists. Hopefully I can be of some help.

BASICS
Well I'm going to guess you've played Guitar Hero but I guess I better go
ahead and say, there are 5 buttons you'll be using alot. They are
green, red, yellow, blue, orange. Then you have your strum bar, and your
whammy bar. With the whammy bar whenever your playing a hold note,
whammy it. Do it on a hold note with star power and you will gradually
gain star power. Pretty handy. Well that's the buttons. We've also
got a couple techniques. Hammer-ons and Pull offs. I'll try to explain
them as best as I can. Ok whenever you see notes with a shine on top
you can perform these. Let's say you see Green, Red, Yellow. Strum
once on green and then just tap the red and yellow buttons at the correct
time and you will hit them, but release them. Hammer-on is the same except
you hold them down. Ugh I'm really bad at explaining this stuff. Look
I doubt that helped you much so just use the tutorial. Then maybe you'll
get what I'm saying.

friends scores. As hard as I tried I still could not get 5 stars

TIPS
These tips are made by me. Yeah don't expect anything special. Just some
things that might help you.
1. Move your hand when playing on expert or hard
2. Use your pinky
3. Sometimes Strumming up and down can help
4. Use Star Power to your advantage
5. Hammer ons and pull offs can really help on some of those tricky solos
6. Always pay attention to the board. Don't worry about the crowd booing
you, or cheering you one, or the crazy dance your guitarist is doing.
Just pay attention.
Tips when going from easy to medium
Well now your going to be using the blue key. Try to get playing with
your other three fingers besides your index finger.
Tips when going from medium to hard
Now the orange key!
Of course when I played Guitar Hero I thought easy was to boring, and
just kept playing expert songs until I got good. You could always do
that.
\Tips for last songs/
Raining Blood
Mosh.. Ok this song can be pretty hard. Really hard if you don't know what
your doing. This took me a while to get past on hard. Yeah.On expert I
have3 stars on it. To do this Use all four fingers, then move it up, and
down.Keep doing that to hit them. This takes excellent timing and
patience. Itcan be pretty frustrating but that's all the help I can
offer. The rest is up to you.
Cliffs Of Dover
This song isn't bad at all. I think it's pretty fun. How do you beat it
you ask? Pull-offs and Hammer-ons! You could practically play through
this whole song using Pull-offs and Hammer-ons. Simple right?
Number Of The Beast
This song can give you a little bit of trouble. It isn't as hard as
Raining Blood. Just do what you did in the solo of Raining Blood.
This song can be pretty difficult at first but it isn't all that
hard if you use your star power.
One
Almost all this song is really easy. Then you get to the solo and it gets
a bit harder. Hopefully you've saved star power in case you need it. Just
strum fast on the green notes, up and down if you have to, and just focus.
Just keep your rock meter in green, yellow at the least if possible, and
eventually you'll beat the solo. Don't worry it isn't that long.

BOSS BATTLES
Boss battles, a new addition to the Guitar Hero series. There are three
bosses. Tom Morello, Slash, and Lou. Well I have some tips for you.
1. Save up multiple power ups and use them all at once.
2. Sometimes using a power up like the whammy one, right before they
have alot of notes coming fast, can really hurt them.
3. Try to stop them from getting power ups by using your own.
There's really nothing to Boss battles. Just get power-ups as you would
star power, and then use it against whoever your facing. Simple right?
Tom Marello(expert)
Ok you know that part where he's just hitting tons of notes really fast?
Come one work with me you know what I'm talking about. It's not that far
into the song! Well what you want to do is get a whammy power-up before
that part near the beginning of the song and save it until that. Then
let him have it. It will take his bar down pretty far. Just finish him
off after that.
Slash(expert)
Slash isn't to hard. Just use the boss battle tips. Try to use your power
ups on parts where it will really hurt him. As long as you get your
power ups and use them at the right places you'll do fine.
Lou(expert)
Use the Tom Marello strategy. Get a whammy power up early, then whenever
Lou does his solo and theres a bunch of notes coming really fast, just
like there was for Lou, use it and he'll miss them all and most likely,
fail.

THROUGH THE FIRE AND THE FLAMES
Through The Fire And The Flames. Yeah. This is pretty hard. I'll do my
best to explain to you how to beat it. This is pretty much the hardest
song in the game. Yep. On expert it can seem unbeatable but it is
possible. Ok. Your going to need to use Hammer-ons to beat the intro.
After that it becomes more managable. Hold the green button down through
the whole intro. Strum the first red note, and hold it down, then
use your other hand to use hammer-ons to hit all of the notes. It may
seem complicated at first but it really isn't. After that your going
to have to rely on your Guitar Hero skills. Just keep your timing right,
don't freak out, and use star power when your in trouble as it can be
a lifesaver on this song, and you will beat it. If your going for 5
stars um.. Good Luck. This is also possible but it's very hard. Well
if you've beaten this song on expert I believe you've earned yourself
some bragging rights. If you've gotten 5 stars you've gotten even more
bragging rights. Of course you could just use a rubber band to hold
the green button down and then use your left hand to hit the rest of the
notes instead. You could try to just take the song on without using
either of those tactics.

MULTIPLAYER
Co-Op
On this mode you can play through the game with a friend. However one
of you is going to have to be Guitar and one will have to be Bass. Big
deal just trade off every now and then. Just as there is a selection of
guitars there is a few bass guitars to unlock Also. While playing Co-Op
If one of you loses, you both lose. So if your playing Guitar and your
friend on bass messes up, it's over. You'll have to try again.
Face-Off
The set up in Face-Off is you both play a song, and take turns playing
parts of it. Yeah sometimes your both playing, whatever. The person with
the highest score whens. Doesn't matter how fancy you was waving
your guitar around in the air or if you played it behind your back, or
how many notes you hit. Just how high your score is.
Pro Face-Off
Pro Face-Off is basically the same thing as Face-Off except your both
playing on the same difficulty and your both playing all of the notes.
Besides that same rules apply, person with the highest score wins.
Battle Mode
Basically like a boss battle, use power-ups to mess your opponent
except your playing against your friend. If neither of you lose on
the song your playing you'll go into sudden death. The power-ups
are as followed.
Whammy Bar: Your opponent will be unable to play notes until he um..
whammys his whammy bar enough.
Broken String: This makes one of your opponents strings break. They won't
be able to play that note until they hit whatever one you broke enough
times.
Amp Overload: This will make your opponents notes that are coming to him
kind of.. Dissappear and appear on it. It makes it all flashy and hard to
see.
Difficulty Up: You won't be able to use this one if your on expert mode.
This makes your opponents difficulty go up by one for a certain amount of
time. For example if he was playing on hard, it would go up to expert.
Lefty/righty flip: This will make your opppnents board flip so that
if they were a right handed person, it would make it left handed and same
the other way around.
Steal Power: This will steal whatever power-up your opponent has.
Double Notes: This will make all your opponents single notes a chord.

To enter a cheat go to options, and the cheats, then strum the correct
note I have typed out here. If its a GR or RY put together, that just
means it's a chord.
Unlock All Songs(Permanent, if you want to
use this I recommend creating a new band just

No Fail (Quickplay only): GR B GR GY B GY RY O RY GY Y GY GR, This makes
it unable to fail the song you play
Huge Notes: G R G Y G B G O G B G Y G R G GR RY GR YB GR BO GR YB GR
RY GR GY, Makes the notes pretty big.
Easy Expert: GR GY YB RB BO YO RY RB, It makes the rock meter go down
slower.
Air Guitar: YB GY GY RB RB RY RY YB GY GY RB RB RY RY GY GY RY RY,
It gives your character an invisible guitar
Performance Mode: RY RB RO RB RY GB RY RB, Fret board is no where to be
found, gone.
Precision Mode: GR GR GR RY RY RB RB YB YO YO GR GR GR RY RY RB RB YB
YO YO, This makes you have to be more accurate. You'll have
to hit the notes at exactly the right moment it would be in the actual
song.
Hyperspeed: O B O Y O B O Y, Makes the Board move faster.

Q - How do I beat Raining Blood??
A - Look in the Tips section I have tips for the final 4 songs.
Q - Can I use my PS2 Guitar Controller on PS3?
A - If you have a 60GB or 80GB and you have a PS2 controller adapter
I'm pretty sure they will work for it. I've never tried it but I don't
see why they wouldn't.
Q - Any way I can play The Devil Went Down To Georgia besides in the
boss battle?
A - Sadly you can only play it while fighting Lou. If you have the xbox
360 version of GH3 the boss battles are downloadable content and then
you can play them, however no such thing for the PS2 version.
Q - How do I use a bass guitar in career?
A - Bass guitars are only for Co-Op
Q - How can you get Bret Micheals as your singer?
A - There's a cheat that you can use to get him but it isn't in the
PS2 version.
Q - After I beat career mode and all the songs in it including
it still shows up that I've only done 41 out of 42 songs?
A - Know the song you play at the credits? Well you need to playit,
it will still say 41 out of 42.
Q - Will doing perfect on a song give more money than getting 5
stars on a song?
A - Nope, 5 star gives you the most money you can get.
Q - Where is the Velvet Revolver song that I read about.
A - Xbox 360 only.. Next gen consoles get all the good stuff.
