INTRODUCTION
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Having completed and thoroughly enjoyed Gregory Horror show, I decided it'd be
worth my while to take some time to fill out the rest of the memo sheets and
find out what every guest does at every point in the game, for the sake of
completeness. I took notes as I went, and it is these notes that you see before
you.
The main use you'll probably get from this guide is if you've finished the game
and want to figure out the rest of the memos yourself, but can't actually be
bothered to do it. I wouldn't recommend the guide to anyone who has yet to
complete the game; while it doesn't give away any of the solutions as such,
much of the fun in Gregory Horror Show comes from discovering things for
yourself. Watching the timetables gradually fill in as you surreptitiously peek
at the guest whilst avoiding detection will doubtless become less fun if you
already know what you are going to find out. I'd hate to think I was the cause
of anyone having less fun, so don't do it, okay? (It's not even like it'd be
much help with completing the game. You want to know where the guests are, then
look at the map.)
Hmm, I've forgotten under which circumstances you are allowed to use the guide.
Oh, yeah, it's if you already finished the game and can't be bothered to chase
up a couple of blanks. Or if you have the Japanese version and don't understand
any of it. Anyway, I should keep this brief because there's nothing I hate more
than having to scroll through acres of contents and introduction text before I
can actually read the guide.
Oh, and for those of you that can only read capital letters:
*** WARNING! THIS GUIDE CONTAINS SPOILERS! ***
Now read on.

NIGHT 1

scripted. Only after Judgment Boy enters Gregory House does the memo system
come into proper use.
Gregory
0-2 Work at Front Desk (G)
He's doing manager-type work at the front desk. Doesn't
look too busy, though.

James is minding reception. Letting a kid do the work -
what is this world coming to?
4-6 Making the Rounds (Y)
Better make sure Gregory doesn't catch me spying on him
when he's making the rounds.
6-8 Work at Front Desk (G)
I wonder what he's writing in that register. Knowing
him, probably bad-mouthing the guests.
8-10 Cleaning Changing R. (G)
He's cleaning the changing room with care. It looks
like he's been using that broom for years.
10-12 Tidying Library (G)
He's picking up books. There's lots of different kinds
- maybe I'll go take a look sometime.
12-14 Making the Rounds (Y)
It's a manager's job to keep track of his hotel. In a
hotel this big, making the rounds must be hard.
14-18 Work at Front Desk (G)

Cleaning up crumbs. Speaking of which, I did hear

Gregory always has to clean up the books James scatters

It's the most popular kid's show on TV: "Wimp Brigade"!
The dreary theme song is a big hit, too.
12-14 Messy Nurse's Room (G)
He's happily making a mess in the nurse's room. I can
just picture Catherine's angry face...
14-16 Time for Dinner (G)
Wh...what's that?! A special menu just for James?! "GHS
Children's Lunch Special"
16-18 Prancing Around (Y)
Though he's just a kid, he struts around the halls like
a prince. Are there big things in his future?
18-20 Mess in Kitchen (G)
He's making a mess of the kitchen while looking for a

Every day must be fun for him.
22-24 Mess at Front Desk (G)
The front desk is getting to be a mess. I wonder if
Gregory is going to have to clean up again...
Neko Zombie
1-3 Hungry... (R)
Frantically pacing around his room, looking hungry. Do
I have something I could give him?
3-5 Completely Bonkers (R)
He's pacing around like a mad animal. Better not get
too close - I might end up with bite marks.

He looks relatively calm this time of day. Maybe he'll
tell me something good.
5-8 (b) Foraging in Kitchen (G)
His empty stomach has driven him out of his room to
look for something good to eat.
8-11 In a Stupor (R)
I hope he's having good dreams. But I doubt he ever has

James says that he'll eat any kind of food when he's
this hungry. Even if it's old - or poisonous.
14-18 In a Stupor (R)
It looks like Neko Zombie has trouble sleeping. He
should move around and make himself tired!
18-20 Sitting in Room (R)
He's just sitting on the cold floor. I'm worried - if
he keeps this up, his bum will freeze.
20-22 Hungry... (R)
Neko Zombie is always hungry. Even if his stomach is
full, his heart is always empty.
22-1 Sitting in Room (R)
Sitting quietly on the cold floor in the dank room...
trying to endure some hardship.
Catherine
0-2 Doing the Rounds (Y)
Even when Catherine was at the hospital, they say you
could see her prowling for blood at night.
2-4 Sleeping (R)
I hear Catherine got her pillow from a mail-order
catalogue. Could it be... that pillow?
4-6 Watching the News (G)
This show has all kinds of stuff - lost persons,
blood-type horoscopes, business roundups...
6-10 Working in Office (G)
Catherine really gets into her work! But all she does
is draw blood - some "treatment"!
10-12 Lunch (G)
It looks delicious, but who knows what kind of meat
that steak is made from? Best not to ask.

The whole point of a diet is not to eat too much junk!

15-18 Doing the Rounds (Y)
Catherine loves to draw blood, but she HATES giving it.
I think I know how she feels.
18-20 Cleaning the Office (G)
James made a mess in the nurse's office. Not even
Catherine can control that little brat.
20-24 Working Out (R)
This workout is designed to help women relieve their
stress. Looks like it really works.
Judgment Boy
0-2 Hanging Out (R)
He looks kind of bored when he's alone. Doesn't he have
any friends?
2-4 Wandering Around (Y)
I've got that weird song he sings memorised. Not that
it'll be of any use.
4-6 Hanging Out (R)
He's just staring blankly off into space. Could he be
sleeping with his eyes open?
6-8 Wandering Around (Y)
#Do you know my naaaame?# I bet Judgment Boy wrote both
the lyrics and the tune.
8-10 Hanging Out (R)
He looks spaced out but I bet he's pondering life or
the universe or something.
10-12 Wandering Around (Y)
Rumour has it that even Gregory can't get enough of
this song. I wonder if it's true...

He's clearly not into his training. He's just thinking
of ways to get out of it.
16-18 Muttering to Self (R)
He's muttering to himself. Looks like it's stress.
Maybe it's because no one will listen to him?

his words have something to them.
20-21 Spinning Around (Y)
He's spinning like a broken weather-vane. It looks
serious, but it's real fun to watch.
21-24 Sleeping (R)
He should be fast asleep, but sure enough, he doesn't
shut up even when he's asleep.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GENERAL NOTES
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
COLOUR CODING:
You may have noticed, within my guide, ASCII's answer to the game's
colour-coded system for the timetables. Here is a brief explanation.
(R): Red. This means the guest is in his/her room.
(Y): Yellow. This means that the guest is in a corridor or in the garden.
(G): Green. The guest is in a room (not his/her own) on the ground floor.
(B): Blue. As with green, except this time the room is on the 1st floor.
(P): Purple. This means the guest is somewhere in the basement.
(A) AND (B) DAYS:
These are denoted in the game by a timetable segment made of two horizontal
bars one above the other. (This is great. Already I've got the game using a
vague approximation of my system, and not the other way around.) As far as
I can tell, a (b) day only occurs after two (a) days. I know it's galling when
a FAQ writer is too lazy to even check up on their own vague suspicions, but
sometimes that's just the way the world works. I'm fairly sure, if that helps.
DIFFICULTIES:
Some memos are easy to fill in, others can be excruciatingly awkward. Here are
a few vague hints to help you on your way.
* The noise tells you that the memo is complete. You know... the noise. That
noise. You know the one. However, be aware: when there are two or more people
in the room, the noise doesn't necessarily mean the end. If they're having a
conversation, then that's fine. However, if they're conducting separate
monologues, you have to wait for each one to finish speaking. Mummy Dog and
Mummy Papa are guilty of this on a couple of occasions.
* If looking through the keyhole is difficult because of nearby guests on the
rampage, or that brat James running around, why not try coming to the room
ahead of time and waiting in the wardrobe? Just make sure you have your escape
planned. (Leaping out and running away screaming counts as a plan.)
* Spying on people as they wander the corridors can be tricky. Remember, as
you are approaching them your avatar goes "wah!" when you are getting close
enough. Try to follow them on a stretch without corners so you don't miss
anything. Hell's Chef pauses outside people's rooms for lengthy intervals, so
looking out through a keyhole can be effective. With Judgment Boy, the danger
is not of him attacking but of him getting away, as he's a speedy one. Try
backing away from him as he approaches a corner and then following him after
he's gone round it. If you see what I mean.
* Watching people in the garden can be hampered by pillars which get in the way
and restart the conversation. Going into the garden before your target and
hiding is good. Watching them from the 1st floor balcony is better.
Feeling patronised yet? Excellent.
DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?:
It's a relatively unimportant point, but I should probably point out that in
this guide the hash symbol (#) denotes a musical note.

VERSION HISTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
v0.00 (pre 2004) - At this point none of the guide had been written at all -
in fact I hadn't even considered the idea. Not worth
listing, I'll admit, but it's the job of all version
histories to be tediously comprehensive. It makes the
writer feel important.
v0.99 (19/01/2004) - Not that this version ever saw the light of day, but it's
surely noteworthy for the fact that the one missing entry
was for Angel/Devil Dog between 3am and 6am on a (b) day.
This was so annoying and difficult to obtain that I don't
feel like telling you how to do it for yourselves.
v1.00 (21/01/2004) - With Devil Dog subdued, the guide is technically complete,
but for the agonising tedium of formatting it in a way
that can actually be understood. Clearly I failed
miserably, but I suppose there's always time for another
update when I succeed in transcending the boundaries of
ASCII.
v1.01 (03/02/2004) - Bit of a funny, story, actually. Looking through the file
I just happened to notice I had Neko Zombie talking to
Devil Dog from 1-3am instead of 0-3am. Oh, how we laughed!
Suffice it to say, the error has been corrected.
