About Me:
=-=-=-=-=

Hello, everyone. My name is David DeGregorio and I am a sophomore in
college. I have recently decided to start writing FAQ's for my
favorite games, starting with my last two FAQs on Shadow Of The
Colossus and God Of War. God Of War 2 is an amazing game and improved
on the original in so many ways. Therefore, I decided to follow up my
last FAQ with this one. I have done my best to make sure there are no
errors in the FAQ. If you find any, let me know and I will update as
soon as I possibly can (and I'm not busy usually so it won't take
long). Also, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, etc. just
email me and I will email back. I check my email every day. It doesn't
even have to be about the game. I will take any emails you send me.
Anyway, I usually start to ramble around this time so I will get back
on track.

Spoilers:
=-=-=-=-=

As usual, I will refrain from using spoilers in this guide. I don't
believe in spoilers. They ruin the story for you, the gamer, and take
away from the experience. So, yeah, no spoilers will be included in any
of my guides. If you see something that looks like a spoiler, please
let me know and I will edit that part or take it out completely. Thank
you.

Getting Started:
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

First of all, you will need a copy of God Of War 2. Buy it, rent it,
or borrow it from a friend if you have to, however you will need the
game to use this guide.

Pop the disc into your system and you're ready to go. You are once
again in control of Kratos (the new god of war) and, if possible, he
is even more badass than the first game. Anyway, he decimates his
enemies with the blades chained to his wrists. Get ready to unleash
your inner demon.

  =-=-=-=
  Rhodes:
  =-=-=-=

Welcome back to Kratos' life. It seems he's not too happy being the god
of war. So, now it's time for another brutal and satisfying adventure.

This first part is a tutorial to get you used to the game. You still
have all of your power, so take out the soldiers in the room using
whatever attacks you like. Like the previous game, God Of War 2 has a
simple but deep combat system. Take your time to explore all the combat
possibilities.

When the soldiers are all dead, head to the door on the right. Press
R1, then rapidly press circle to open it. Go down the hall, killing
more soldiers. At the end of the hall, the Colossus Of Rhodes will
punch a hole in the wall to your left. Go through and you will see a
chest.

Like the previous game, there are a few types of chests. Green
replenishes health, blue replenishes magic, and red gives you blood
orbs which are used to upgrade weapons and magic. There are also chests
that change color (this means you can choose what you want from the
chest) and chests with no color. These chests either contain red orbs,
Phoenix Feathers (upgrade magic after you gather six of these), or
Gorgon's Eyes (upgrade health after you gather six of these).

Open this chest for health and climb the ladder to your right. Jump
down to the area in front of you.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
            Colossus Of Rhodes: Part 1
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This is a fairly easy fight. The boss three different attacks. First,
the boss will slam its palm on the ground. Simply roll to avoid this.
Next, it wall grab one of the archers on the top of the right wall and
throw it at you. The boss will only throw the archer on the left side
of the area so just stay on the right and you won't get hit. The last
attack is when it brings back both hands and slams the ground with two
giant fists. Double jump to avoid the shockwave. It will also yell at
you randomly but this does nothing. Soldiers will try to attack you
throughout this fight but they still don't pose a threat. Kill them if
they get in the way. Now, to damage the boss, wait until it does the
palm smash attack or the fist shockwave attack. After you avoid it,
attack the hand of the colossus. Red orbs will pour out. Continue
attacking the hand after it attacks and eventually it will be stunned.
You will know this when green and blue orbs pour out of the colossus
and the camera zooms in for a quick scene. Now, while its stunned, head
left and jump up to the platform with the catapult. Open the chest for
health or magic and press R1 near the catapult to launch a rock. Press
R1 near the catapult again to climb into it. Rapidly press circle to
launch yourself at the colossus and start a button-press sequence.
Press the buttons that appear onscreen and you will do some damage to
the colossus. However, you will be flung a short distance away.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

You will land in a bathhouse. Slash through the screen on the left for
red orbs. Behind the other screen are two women. Press circle to
"interact" with them. Press the onscreen buttons for a ton of orbs. You
can play again if you want but it won't give you any more orbs.

In the middle of the bathhouse, jump into the water and press square to
dive. Swim down the passage. Hold R1 and release to do a swim dash and
break through the grate. Press X to surface and swim right until you
reach a ladder. Climb it and save your game.

Pull the lever next to the save point. A grapple point will now be
available. Double jump and press R1 to swing from the grapple point.
Jump to the other side and climb the ledges. Open the door to the next
area.

Kill all of the soldiers and walk forward. Climb the ladder and a giant
foot will try to stomp on you. Rapidly press circle to fend of the
foot. Kill the remaining soldiers and go left. Open the chests for red
orbs and health or magic. Now, start climbing the wall.

Head left on the wall and jump down onto the ledge for some red orbs.
Return to the wall and climb to the top.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
           Colossus Of Rhodes: Part 2
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The colossus is back and you have to take it on again. Jump down to the
platform below you and swing to the area on the right. The colossus has
some new attacks this time. It will slam its right fist (your left)
into the platform to try and crush you. Roll right to avoid this. Try
not to go to the left or right sides of the platform or the colossus
will punch you (if you are on the left side it will be the left arm and
if you're on the right t will be the right arm). This is a fast attack
and hard to avoid so just stay in the middle of the area. He will also
swipe his left hand across the platform. You can roll forward to avoid
this. He will yell again but it still does nothing. His last attack is
when he slams the platform with both hands. Double jump to avoid the
shockwave. Now, to damage him. You can attack the hand that lies
dormant in front of you but you have to be wary of his other hand. I
recommend waiting for him to do the fist slam attack and roll to the
right. (If you roll to the left you will get hit when he brings his arm
back.) Once you avoid it, attack his fist. After a few hits, he will
get stunned and orbs will pour out. Avoid the double fist slam and
continue attacking. Once you have stunned the colossus three times, a
circle will appear above its arm. Swing over to the area where his arm
is and press circle. An action sequence will take place, so press the
corresponding buttons and you will damage it. Stun the colossus three
more times and the circle will appear again. Go through another action
sequence and you will be flung far away again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

In this next area, open the chest for magic if you want and open the
door atop the ledge. Walk down the hallway and turn right, avoiding the
arrows from the archers. Save your game.

Back up a bit and take aright down the hallway. Kill the soldiers and
enter the next room. To the left is a block with a bird on top. Destroy
the bird and use R1 to push the block onto the switch. The gate will
open. Hold R1 and X to kick the block onto the next switch. Quickly
roll underneath the gate before it closes.

Ignore the open gate in front of you and push/kick the block right.
There is a hallway here and it may look confusing but it is quite
simple. In front of you is a dead end. The door at the front end (to
the left) is block by a gate. Behind you is another dead end. The wall
at the south end (to the left) leads back into the room where you got
the block. You don't need to go there so don't. Quite simple isn't it.

Anyway, push the block to the north end of the room and you will notice
three chests high up. You can't reach them unless you use the block.
Jump onto the ledge and open the chests for red orbs and the Urn Of
Gaia. Now bring the block back to the gate you ignored earlier.

Place the block on the switch and head under the gate. Open the chest
for health and defeat the soldiers and archers. Open the red orb chest
on your left. Step onto the elevator and pull the lever.

At the top, walk forward and the colossus will look through the window.
Slash the eye and go through the opening for a scene. Now you have to
get to the Blade Of Olympus.

Climb up the ledges on the wall to your right and kill the soldiers.
Kill the archers and walk to the door. Kill the archers and soldiers
here and kick open the door. Open the chest for health and smash
through the window.

Jump down and kill all the enemies. When they are all dead, go right
and climb the ladder. You are back where you smashed the window. Now
you can balance across the beams. Double jump to the right and open the
chests with red orbs.

Jump back to the beams and go forward. Save at the save point.

Climb the ladder and enter the room. Slide down the chain and defeat
the soldiers. Open the chests for health and magic. Open the door
forward. Quickly cross the bridge because the colossus will destroy it.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
           Colossus Of Rhodes: Part 3
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The important thing to remember about this fight is that you need to
make time to store your powers into the Blade Of Olympus. The colossus
won't give you this time easily, so you have to stun it to be able to
store your powers. The colossus has a few new attacks. The first one to
note is the shockwave attack that it does with its damaged arm. Snaking
pathways will appear in the earth and fire will erupt from them. The
pathways will always appear in the same spots so find a safe spot and
avoid the fire. Next, the colossus will smash the ground with a fist.
Jump to avoid the shockwave. The boss will also do a swipe with its
left (your right) arm. Roll to avoid this. The right arm (your left) is
more dangerous. It will perform a swipe combo. When you see this, roll
to avoid the swipes and jump to avoid the shockwave. Later in the
battle, the Colossus will shoot fire out of the damaged arm. Roll away
from it to avoid this attack. Now, to damage it. Run up to it and slash
anywhere on its body. You can use Poseidon's Rage to damage it faster.
Soon it will be stunned, so run to the sword and pour your experience
into the sword. Jump right after to avoid the shockwave attack. Now,
run up to the boss and attack it some more. Use your spell and it will
be stunned again. This time, pour your magic into the blade. The boss
will get nasty at this point and you have no magic which is why we
saved a little surprise for the boss. To the right is the hand you
knocked off. Tap R1 to launch this at the boss for an easy stun. Now,
pour your health into the sword. You will have half of your previous
health. Now that you have very little power left, you gain the Blade Of
Olympus. This is not a fair trade in my opinion but you have to do
this. You will shoot the colossus with a beam from the sword and it
will lean forward. Now it will only attack with flames from its damaged
arm. Attack the colossus with the sword and roll to avoid the lames. Or
you could stand at a distance and press L1 plus triangle to hurt it.
Any way you want to hurt it, stun it three times and press circle for a
quick scene.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Now you are inside the colossus. Kill the soldiers in front of you and
start moving along the circular walkway. Jump over the gaps and go
underneath the glowing blue beam. Jump over the next one. (It will hurt
you if you touch it.) Continue until your path is obstructed by another
beam. Head left and press R1 to destroy all the blue beams on this
level. Jump the next gap and climb the side of the colossus.

Head left until you reach the next pathway. Double jump to grab the
rope and make your way across to the next walkway. Press R1 to drop
down and continue along the path, killing the next batch of soldiers.
Jump to the next ledge and head left across the beam.

The way forward is blocked, so head left and you will be at the
intersection of the blue beams. Slash off the chain on the beam
intersection and press R1 to destroy the beams in this section. Now the
path forward is unblocked, so head back across the beam, turn left, and
continue forward.

Go down the walkway, jump the gap and kill the soldiers. Climb the side
of the wall to the next ledge and kill more soldiers. At this point it
looks like you can't go further but there is a way. Hug the side of the
wall and head left around the circle. When you reach the beam, press R1
to hang down. Shimmy left under the beam and pull yourself up.

Slash off the three chains and press R1 to destroy more beams. Climb
the netting to your left to get a Gorgon's Eye. Climb back down and
climb the rope to the next level.

Jump from platform to platform until you reach a ladder. Climb it and
you will be at the top of the colossus. Pull the lever to lower a giant
metal pillar. Descend the ladder and hit it with your blade. Now pull
the lever again and it will raise the pendulum. Double jump and grab
onto the rope.

Now, wait until the pendulum blocks the blue beam and then move
forward. Stay behind the pendulum and move when it blocks the second
beam. Jump down to the walkway and head forward, jumping over the blue
beam. At the end, slash off all the chains and destroy the final beam
pillar. The mouth of the colossus will open, so rush to it and a scene
will play.

Kratos is hurt badly, so limp towards the blade. A scene will play when
you get close.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                               Zeus
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This isn't much of a battle because you can barely move and Zeus is
quite powerful. You are destined to lose this fight, so sit back and
watch the next scene.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Kratos has escaped from death before and he can do it again. You are in
the underworld once again but death is much easier to thwart this time.
Hands pop out of the wall and try to kill you, so slash them. Each one
gives you a ton of health. It is very hard to be killed by the hands
because they don't do that much damage. Climb the side of the wall,
jump the gap to the right, and climb up. Jump straight up to the next
part of the wall. Climb to the top and you will escape the underworld.
This is a lot easier than the spinning blades of the last game.

Save your game at the save point.

Press R1 near one of the bodies for a scene. Walk to the Pegasus and
press R1 for another scene.

  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Flight To The Lair Of The Titan:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

This is the first flying sequence in the game. The developers wanted to
put a flying portion in the first game but it ended up getting cut.
Anyway, during this part you are controlling the Pegasus that Kratos is
riding on. Controls are pretty simple here. Use the left analog stick
to move. Press square for light attacks and triangle for heavy attacks.
You can move quickly right or left with L1 and R1. Also, you can press
X for a dash attack that drains your magic a bit.

In this section, you are first tasked with defeating four griffins. Use
light attack and they will fall quickly. After they are dead, you have
to defeat a raven. Use your dash attack to attack from behind and press
the corresponding buttons to snap the raven's neck.

When the raven is dead, a Dark Rider will appear. Avoid the purple
blasts that he fires and you will be brought to the lair of the titan.
To save some time guessing, the best ways to avoid his attacks are:
Down (for the first blast), Left (second), Up (third), and just take
the last blast head on (you should have enough health at this point and
there's no real direction to avoid it).

  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
  Lair Of The Titan:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

As you enter the cavern, fend off the harpies that attack you. After
flying around for a bit, the Pegasus will be trapped underneath the
titan's hand. You can't free it now, so jump down to the next path.
Defeat the harpies and head right.

Open the chest for health and head directly towards the screen. You
should grab onto the wall. Climb down the wall and open the chests to
your left. The unmarked chest has a Gorgon's Eye. The other one has red
orbs.

Return to the green chest and head left. Attack the finger to open the
path forward. Run to the end and climb onto the wall. Climb down as far
as you can go, killing enemies along the way, and head right. Jump the
gap and climb upwards.

When you can't go any further, Kratos will latch onto the ceiling.
That's right; you can climb onto ceilings now! Anyway, head right, go
around the corner, and climb down the next wall. Head forward across
the ceiling and down the wall on the right. Now you are on the ground
again. Save your game and head forward.

Defeat the harpies and the Minotaur. Open the chest for health if you
need it. Continue forward and open the chest for red orbs. Head back a
little bit and you will see a cage hanging on a rope. Destroy it and
grab the rope. Slide down to the next area.

Head forward, jump up to the next ledge, and go through the door. You
are now outside. The door will close behind you. You can't go back for
a while.

Kill the archers and the Minotaur here. Destroy the wooden structures
for red orbs. When they're dead, jump onto the ledge on the right. Jump
and pull yourself up to the next ledge. Shimmy left and jump up to the
next area. There are chests here with health and red orbs.

Slide down the chain in front of you and walk down the stone arm to see
what's up with the bird. Remember the tale of Prometheus? Well, you're
about to see it firsthand. Attack the chain in front of Prometheus and
he will fall. The chain remains unbroken though. He hangs suspended
over a pit of fire. There's nothing you can do to help him at the
moment, so jump onto the chain to your right and slide down.

Head forward and the camera will show you your next destination. Ignore
the small ledges and continue forward until you reach the end of the
path. Climb onto the wall. Kill the enemies that assault you and head
right. Climb down and you will be back on solid ground. Kill the
enemies and open the chest for red orbs.

Save your game. Head right and kill more enemies. Open the chest to
your right for another Gorgon's Eye. Climb the wall as far as you can
and jump straight up to reach the next climbing section. Kill the
enemies, climb to the top, and enter the cavern. Open the chests for
health and red orbs.

Continue forward and use the grapple point to reach the other side of
the chasm. In front of you is a chest behind bars. You're probably
wondering how to open this. I'll tell you. Head slightly right and you
will see a rope. Slide down it to head back across the chasm.

This will cause the bars of the cage to lower temporarily, so grapple
back across and open the chest for a Phoenix Feather. Continue down the
path.

Eventually you will come to an open area. The pathway behind you will
seal and a gorgon will attack. These aren't too hard. The gorgon will
use its stone gaze attack. When this happens, roll twice to avoid it.
The gorgon will then cease its attack, so slash at it. If you get
caught in the gaze, shake the left analog stick back and forth to
escape.

Kill the gorgon and two more will appear. Kill them and the harpies and
you will be able to continue.

In front of you, there is a shiny stalagmite. Break it apart with your
blades and head down the path you opened. Open the chests for health
and red orbs. Save your game.

Head forward and you will see the titan's head. He will try to blow you
off the platform. Wait until he stops blowing and takes a breath. Run
left and hide behind the rock pillar. Harpies will try to attack you.
Kill a few but pay attention to the titan. When it takes another
breath, run left again and hide behind the small rock. Kill the harpies
around you and continue to the next small rock when it's safe.

When the titan takes another breath, run as left as you can and hide
behind the stone pillar. Continue forward a little, being careful not
to walk into the titan's breath attack. When it takes another breath,
run to the stone platform. There is another shiny rock here. Slash it
and then press R1 to create a bridge to the titan's head.

Run across the bridge and press R1 to grab Typhon's Bane. This is a bow
and it comes in handy right away. Target the titan's left eye and
shoot. The titan is now blind. Run back across the bridge and it will
crumble.

Kill all the enemies and shoot the archers down by Typhon. The seals
will open. Head left and you will be near a bonfire. Enemies will
attack. Instead of killing them, grab them and the bonfire will be
automatically targeted. Press square to throw them into the fire. Once
the fire is big enough, ice will melt on four chests in front of the
fire. The enemies will stop spawning, so kill the remaining enemies and
open the chests for red orbs and a Phoenix Feather.

Return to the previous platform. Head to the right and you will see
shining lights on the stalactites. Shoot the cage with an arrow and a
scene will show you where to go. Kill the archers and then grapple
across to where you first saw the titan.

Destroy all the rocks for red orbs and backtrack a bit. Go back down
the path, slide down the rope, and exit the cave. Slide down the wall,
jump the gap, and slide down to the bottom.

Go to the broken bridge. Take out your bow and shoot the cage. Grapple
across and you will find chests with red orbs and a Gorgon's Eye.
Return to the other side, head left, and save your game.

Climb the wall to the top. Jump up the ledges to your right and open
the chest if you need health. Shoot the cage with an arrow and a rope
will drop. Climb the ledges and slide down the chain. You are back on
the stone arm. Run to the hand and slide down the chain.

Shoot Prometheus down with a few arrows. You will gain Rage Of The
Titans. Use it to defeat the enemies that appear. You can turn off Rage
Of The Titans by tapping R3 and L3. Also, you do not need a full meter
to activate it.

When they're dead, return to the ledges and jump up. Climb the rope and
head to the topmost platform. Look to your left. There is a vertical
chain here. Slide down and jump into the cave. Open the chests for red
orbs and a Gorgon's Eye. Climb back up the chain.

On the wall to the north, you should see a part of the wall that is
rough. You can climb on this, so jump up to it and start climbing.
Climb to the top, head left, jump the gap, and climb down onto solid
ground. In this cave are chests with red orbs and a Phoenix Feather.
Return to the platform.

Double jump and grab the chain. Make your way across, killing enemies
as you go. Jump down and open the gold chest. This replenishes Rage Of
The Titans. Use it to break open the door and immediately turn it off.

Continue forward, kill the enemies, and grapple across the chasm. Go
forward, kill more enemies, and save your game. Climb back to your
Pegasus.

Use Rage Of The Titans to attack each finger. One by one, the fingers
will move back. Attack them all and the hand will release the Pegasus.
If you run out of Rage, attack the fingers normally to get your Rage
back.

Press R1 next to the Pegasus and start the next flying sequence.

  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Flight To The Isle Of Creation:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Dodge the blasts from the griffins and kill the harpies around you.
When they're dead, it's time to take out another four griffins. These
have riders that try to jump onto the Pegasus. Dodge and the griffin
will be easier to defeat. There is a different action sequence if you
initiate it while the enemy is still on the griffin.

Anyway, after you kill them, the Dark Rider will return. He isn't too
hard of an opponent. Use light attacks to attack him from a distance.
Whenever he attacks with the spear, dash away to the side and then dash
back in while he's vulnerable. Watch out for his dash attack. It's best
to stay above the rider in the air and continue attacking from a
distance.

After a bit, the rider will go forward and shoot more blasts at you.
Dodge them by going: Left (first blast), Down (second), Right (third),
Up (fourth), and finally Left.

After this, the rider will slow down and an action sequence will take
place. Press the corresponding buttons to slay the dark rider and land
on the Isle of Creation.

  Isle Of Creation:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

You will start this part on the side of a wall. Climb up, transitioning
from wall to ceiling to wall, until you reach the top. Head left and
open the chests for red orbs and a Phoenix Feather. Head right this
time. Save your game and climb the ladder.

At the top, latch onto the ceiling, go left a bit, and then climb up
the broken bit of wall. Kill the enemies at the top. Head right, jump
onto the ledge, and climb the next ladder.

In the next area, kill all of the dogs. There is a chest with health if
you need it. Destroy all of the hanging skeletons for red orbs and open
the chests in the back for more red orbs.

Near the chests with red orbs is a dead body. Press R1 to pick it up.
Place it on the elevator on the left. Pull the lever to descend a
level. Place the dead body on the button. Pull back the handle to open
the other door. Let go and run through before it closes. Roll if you
have to.

Turn left and walk forward. Press R1 to kick down the door. Go through
and watch the scene. Afterwards, head right for a Gorgon's Eye. Head
left next. Beware: the floor crumbles beneath you as you walk.

Head left and enter the next area. A scene will occur.

                            Cerberus
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I don't really consider this a boss fight because it's not that tough
of a battle and there's no real trick to it. (The Minotaur in the first
game was more of a boss) The Cerberus has four attacks. It will shoot
fireballs at you. It will rear back and try to pounce on you. Also, it
will try to head-butt you with all three heads. Lastly, it will try to
claw at you with one of its paws. Every single attack can be avoided by
rolling. The head-butt attack is harder to avoid because it's faster
but you can block it so it's not a threat. There will be dogs all
around, trying to attack you. You can kick them towards the boss for
damage or just take them out. It's your choice. To get through this
easily, use Rage Of The Titans. When the circle appears over the boss'
head, turn off Rage and press circle. Yellow orbs will pour out, so use
Rage again and repeat until the beast is dead.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When all the enemies are dead, destroy the statues for orbs. Replenish
your health and magic with the chests and return to where the statues
where. A stone block should have fallen when you destroyed one of the
statues. Push it over to the platform where the Cerberus entered. Jump
up and defeat the dogs. Open the red chest and save your game.

Head right and walk onto the narrow walkway. Climb down the wall and
head left. Open the chests for health and red orbs. Climb the ladder
and latch onto the ceiling. Head forward, killing enemies, and break
the shiny object in front of you. Continue to the end of the roof and
head left. Climb to the top of the walkway.

Kill the dogs and soldiers, then shoot down the archers. Head to the
right until you can't go any further. Turn left and double jump to the
other side. Head left and jump up the ledge into the next area. Open
the chest for health or magic and head right.

Kill the enemies that appear. Walk onto the elevator and pull the lever
to descend to the next level. Walk forward and you will have to battle
with a siren.

The siren has two attacks. It will rush forward and claw at you. Roll
to avoid this. Also, it will do a vocal attack that stuns you. If you
see it charging up for this attack, run a safe distance away. If you
are caught in this attack, shake the left analog stick back and forth
to get back into battle. Attack the siren until the circle appears
overhead. Press circle and the wall to the left will crack and two more
sirens will appear.

Attack these sirens until the circle command appears again. The blast
from the second siren will crack the wall some more and kill the other
siren. More sirens will appear. Repeat a third time and wall will break
and the way forward will open.

Instead of going through the hole, look to the right side of the room.
There is a chain jutting from the wall. This is not merely decoration.
Climb onto one of the platforms jutting from the columns next to the
chain. Jump onto the chain and run to the end of it. Jump to the
ceiling and latch on. Head forward, slash at the chain blocking your
path to destroy it, and go forward. Drop down and you will find a chest
with a Gorgon's Eye and a chest with red orbs.

Jump down and head through the hole. Replenish your magic and save your
game.

Go forward, jump down onto the chain, and run down it to reach the
steeds of time.

  The Steeds Of Time:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Continue to the end of the chain and turn left. Climb the wall until
you reach the top. Open the chests for magic and health and head
forward. At the end you will see a lever. Pull it and a rope will lower
near the wall you climbed. Run over and slide down the rope to the
other horse. You will see a man in front of a door. Run forward for a
scene.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                            Theseus
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Phase 1: The first part of this battle is quite easy. Theseus doesn't
have that many nasty attacks. Most of his attacks come from his
scepter. He will try to stab you with his scepter. Roll to avoid this.
He also has a combo with his scepter that can be avoided with a roll as
well. He will also try to uppercut you with his scepter but a simple
roll will dodge it easily. He will also plunge his scepter into the
ground and make ice stalagmites rise from the ground. These are easily
avoided by rolling away from Theseus. If he ever grabs you with his
scepter, rotate the analog stick in the direction shown on the screen
to avoid damage as well as stun the boss. The best way to fight Theseus
is to fight from a distance. The scepter's range is far outmatched by
your blades, so roll to a safe distance and start attacking. Use Rage
to damage him faster. Roll away if he attacks and continue your
assault. It shouldn't be long until he begins his second phase.

Phase 2: He will climb on top of the building and fight from a
distance. His attacks are actually less effective in this phase. He
will shoot one blast at you which can be dodged with a roll. He will
also raise more of those ice stalagmites but they only appear on the
edges of the area or in the exact center, so it's not too hard to
avoid. Now, immediately shoot as many arrows as you can at Theseus.
Roll to avoid hiss attacks and shoot some more. If you run out of
magic, he will summon two Minotaur to kill you. Take them out for
magic. If you are low on health, kill them with the mini-game for
health orbs. When they are dead, focus on Theseus again and shoot lots
of arrows. Halfway through this phase he will yell and resume his
attacks. Now his blasts are comprised of three spheres instead of one.
Keep shooting and kill two more Minotaur and Theseus will fall. Press
circle to initiate another mini-game. This is perhaps the most brutal
kill of the game so far.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Before going inside the room, head right, descend the stairs, and climb
down the wall to reach chests with red orbs and a Gorgon's Eye. Return
to the door.

Go inside the room. Open the chests for red orbs and health or magic.
Read the book and head right. Climb the ladder and head forward. Open
the chest for red orbs. Head back and ascend the stairs. Climb the
stairs in the middle of this platform and jump to the ledge with the
chest. Open it for red orbs and slide down the rope to reach the horse
you were on before. Open the door and walk inside.

Use the key on the altar in front of you to receive Cronos' Rage. Test
it on the enemies that spawn. You can string together a massive combo
in this room just using this spell, especially since your magic will
constantly replenish. My max combo was over three hundred here. When
they're all dead, the door on the left and right will open.

Head out the left exit and climb the ladder. Head right, across the
platform and go to the right side of the horse. Descend the stairs and
open the chest for a Phoenix Feather. Return to the platform and jump
up to the ledge for a chest with red orbs. Jump down and save your
game. Run down the path on the left side of the horse to reach the
front of the steeds.

There are four colored levers here. Ignore them for now and head left.
Climb the wall and head right, down the small ledges. Open the chest
for a Gorgon's Eye. Jump back up the ledges and take note of the
glowing green energy field.

Return to the levers.

Rotate the green lever and the green circular device will open back on
the green steed, revealing a switch. Quickly climb back up and press R1
near the slowly-closing green device. The green energy will dissipate
and a harpy will fly over to the blue steed. Climb back down to the
levers.

This time, rotate the red lever, head right, and climb the wall on the
right. Harpies will attack as you climb but ignore them for right now.
Avoid them by jumping up the wall and press R1 near the red switch. The
red energy will dissipate and the harpy will fly to the yellow steed.
Kill the harpy enemies. Return to the levers.

Rotate the blue lever, and then quickly run to the right, climb the
wall on the right, jump and use the harpy as a grapple point to get to
the blue steed. Quickly jump up the platforms and press R1 near the
device. The blue energy will dissipate. Return to the levers.

Rotate the yellow lever this time. Quickly run left, climb the wall,
and grapple to the yellow steed using the harpy. Climb the wall and
press R1 near the device. The yellow energy will dissipate. Kill the
harpies and return to the levers.

Press R1 near the glowing dot to make the platform move. Press R1 at
the front of the platform to start an action sequence. Rotate the left
analog stick to the directions shown onscreen and a scene will occur.

Return to the save point and save your game. Jump from the top of this
building down to the level below. Fight through the enemies and the way
forward will be clear. Climb down to the chain and kill the enemy.

Run down the length of the chain until you reach the wall. Climb up and
head right. Destroy the rock blocking the path and climb to the top.
Head right and save your game.

  The Temple Of Lahkesis:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Head forward into the area with the pools and fireflies. Kill the
fireflies and look underneath the waterfall. The stone is cracked
underneath it. Break it open to find a chest with red orbs. Jump up the
ledges to the top and go right for another red orb chest. Head left
this time and jump out the opening in the wall. Follow the narrow path,
kill the firefly and start climbing the wall.

Go left as far as you can and jump the gap. On the other side is a
ledge with two red orb chests and another chest with a Gorgon's Eye.
Return to the wall.

Climb down and head right. Climb onto the wall again and follow it
until you reach a cracked section. Break through and open the chest for
a Phoenix Feather. Return to the ledge and head left this time. Open
the red orb chest and open the door with R1.

The button in front of you will lower the statue's arms but you don't
have time to reach it before they rise again. Ignore it for now. Jump
off the left side of the bridge and head towards the screen. In the
alcove are two chests containing a Gorgon's Eye and a Phoenix Feather.
The button on the ground here raises the platforms. Again we don't have
time to reach the platforms before they rise.

The lever in the back left is supposed to lower the gate but the dead
body prevents that. What do you do? Go to the round thing in the middle
of the room that has plants on it. On the south side is a handle. Pull
it back to reveal a waterway. Swim down. Hold R1 and then release to
perform a swim dash. Surface at the other end.

Press R1 near the statue to gain the Amulet of the Fates. By holding L1
and pressing R1 you can stop time temporarily. Swim back through the
passage and emerge in the previous room.

Step on the button and wait for the platforms to rise. Stop time and
jump onto the second pillar on the right. Break the insignia on the
right and it will reveal a chest with a Gorgon's eye. Return to the
button, stop time again, and jump up to the bridge.

Run back to the other button and wait for the hands to lower. Stop time
and run to the hands. Watch the scene. Attack the head and it will fall
through the glass window. Before following it, open the chests on
either side of the statue for a Phoenix feather and red orbs.

Jump out the window. Fight the enemies that appear, noting that you can
use the amulet to stop time because of the statue's head.

Once they are all dead, destroy the statue's head and open the chest
for health.

Head to the right for a chest with a Gorgon's Eye. To the left is a
chest with red orbs. Slide down the ladder and head to the center of
the room. A Cyclops will appear along with several boars.

You can kill the boars with a single grab attack which also nets you
some yellow orbs. Kill all the boars and focus on the Cyclops now. It
is best to stay at distance like you did with Theseus. Use Cronos' Rage
and keep attacking. When the circle appears over its head, press it to
cause some damage and gain health. When the first Cyclops is dead, two
more appear.

Use Rage to kill them quicker. When they are both dead, open the chest
for health or magic. Climb one of the ladders close to the statue.

On the right side, pull the statue out of its alcove. Pull the lever to
lower the platform on the right. Push the statue onto the platform and
pull the lever again to raise it. Jump onto the raised platform. Get
behind the statue and kick it forward. It will fall near the giant
statue's head. Push the statue into the little groove in the ground.
One of the eye beams will be reflected back.

Grab the statue on the left and push it into the other groove. The way
forward is now open. Jump down and walk forward. Save your game.

  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
  The Bog Of The Forgotten:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Walk forward down the path. In the next area, hit the dead bodies with
triangle attacks for red orbs and continue forward, avoiding the water.
A scene will occur, followed by an action sequence. Press the onscreen
buttons until you get to the clearing. It's time for another boss
fight.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                     Barbarian King
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Phase 1: The barbarian king begins the first phase on his horse. Before
doing anything, roll out of the way of the horse as it tries to ram
you. The boss has a few attacks in this phase. The first is the horse
ram which I mentioned above. Roll a bit early when the horse rears back
and you will avoid this. Next, the barbarian will try to hit you with
his hammer. Roll to avoid this. The last two attacks are when he shoots
arrows at you. If it's a single arrow shot, roll to avoid it. If there
are multiple arrow shots, block don't roll (otherwise you might roll
into an arrow attack). At this stage, the barbarian is surrounded by
souls. The souls will protect him, although they will drop magic orbs
when attacked. Remain a safe distance away from the horse and roll to
avoid the arrows. Use Cronos' Rage whenever he charges towards you,
then roll out of the way. Attack from a distance and the souls will
disappear gradually. When they're all gone, attack the horse for a bit
and soon the circle command will appear overhead. Press it to kill the
horse.

Phase 2: Now the barbarian king is on foot. He has a few new attacks.
He will use a two-swing hammer combo to try to hit Kratos. Roll out of
the way of this. Also, he will pound the ground with his hammer and
create a shockwave. Jump over the shockwave and you're safe. The last
attack is an energy wave, created when he jumps on his hammer. Jump or
roll to avoid this. During this part of the battle, the barbarian king
will not only try to attack you himself, he will summon more barbarians
to help him out. When he disappears underground, he will appear in the
middle of the platform and summon dead warriors. Watch out for the
hammer swing when he summons the enemies because this can cause damage.
Kill the undead warriors (it isn't too hard) and avoid the boss. Use
Cronos' Rage to make it easier. When all the barbarians are dead, the
next phase will begin.

Phase 3: The barbarian king will now grow to giant proportions by
absorbing the souls. He will only attack using hammer combos which are
always ended with a ground pound. Roll to avoid his attacks because you
can't block them. Use Rage Of The Titans to make the battle easier.
When that's all used up, attack him from a distance, avoiding his
attacks. Keep pounding on him and he will shrink eventually.

Phase 4: This is the last phase of the battle. He will keep the energy
wave move from phase 2 and deals out some new attacks. He will shoot
souls out of his hammer. Roll towards him when he shoots, not before.
Also, he will swing his hammer towards you. Roll to avoid this. Attack
him from a safe distance and avoid his attacks. After you hit him
several time, he will swing his hammer. Roll and continue to attack
him. When the circle appears overhead, press it to start an action
sequence. Press the right buttons and the battle will end.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

After you defeat him, more barbarians will rise to challenge you. Test
out your new weapon on them. Note that you cannot roll when the hammer
is equipped. You can change weapons with R2 When they're dead, grapple
to the next path and walk forward.

Kill the boars and enter the next area.

  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
  The Temple Of Euryale:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Double jump to the next platform. The door in front of you is
inaccessible right now because it will turn you to stone if you walk
near it. Down the left path is another locked door. Instead, head
right, open the green chest for health, and save your game.

Continue forward, jump across the bog, and head forward some more.
Examine the dead body for Euryale's key. Enemies will attack you. Kill
them and return to the door that turned you to stone.

Defeat the skeletons here. Finish them with a circle attack or they
will come back to life. You can also lure them to the door and turn
them to stone. Hit them a few times while they're turned to stone and
they will be destroyed.

Head left and defeat more skeletons. Open the chest for red orbs. Open
the door with the key.

As soon as you head through the door, head directly right for a chest
with a Gorgon's Eye. Open the health chest and continue forward.

A Cyclops will appear. A beast lord will be riding on top. Press circle
near the Cyclops to throw off the rider. Kill this enemy first. Now
focus on the Cyclops. Attack from a distance and eventually a circle
will appear over its head. Play the button mini-game to gain a Cyclops
Eye. Gather 20 of these for a treasure during bonus play.

Once the Cyclops is dead, two more beast riders appear. They will try
to summon more Cyclops. If you want, let them summon Cyclops so you can
gain more eyes. Kill them all and the way forward will be unsealed.

Move the block out of the way and push it to the left. We'll use that
later. Open the gate and go forward. At the first corner, jump onto the
stone block. Jump up and use triangle attacks to destroy the hanging
stone. Open the chest that falls for a Phoenix Feather. It takes a few
hits to destroy the block but you'll get it eventually. Now, destroy
the other block for a chest with red orbs.

Continue down the path and head left at the fork. Destroy the enemies
and open the chests for red and blue orbs.

Return to the fork and go straight. Jump down into the pit and defeat
all the enemies. After they're dead, destroy the column in the middle
of the room to open a grapple point. Press R1 to grapple to it. This is

a different type of grapple point then you've seen before. Instead of
swinging back and forth, you swing in a circle.

When you are near the high platform on the other side of the pit jump
off the grapple point. Use the next two grapple points to reach the
next area. Climb the ladder on the right and grab onto the vine. Climb
across to the other side, killing enemies as you go. Open the chests
for a Gorgon's Eye and red orbs.

Jump down and continue forward. Jump across the logs. Break the pillars
on the left and right and kill the enemies that fall down. Approach the
middle pillar and press R1. Knock down the pillar by alternating
between L1 and R1. Kill the rest of the enemies and climb the ledge. To
the left is a red orb chest and to the right is a chest with health.

Continue forward. Open the blue chest and jump into the circular room
for another puzzle. The pressure switch will only open the door
halfway, so we have to figure out a different method. Before you step
off the pressure switch, take out your bow and target the vines above
two chests to your right. This reveals a grapple point. Grapple up to
the chests and open them for red orbs and a Gorgon's Eye.

Now back to the puzzle. Jump down and look left. There is a switch here
too but it only opens the door halfway. The wall here is cracked so
break it open. It still seems there's not much we can do. The door on
the left is blocked by a gate. Open it with the lever on the right.

Defeat the enemies and destroy the wall here. Pick up the dead body.
Instead of placing it on the button, drop it into the river. Go back to
the other side and the dead body will wash up here. Pick it up and
place it on the button. Step on the other button and roll through the
gate before it closes.

Save your game. Go forward and open the green chest. Watch the cut
scene and jump onto the first gear in front of you. Grab the handle and
start to turn the gear. When you get halfway to the next gear, enemies
will appear.

If you kill the enemies, you will get a moment to turn the handle some
more, however it won't be long before more enemies appear. The best
thing to do is to use Cronos' Rage to hold them off, turn the handle
some, use the spell again, turn the handle, etc. If you stick to this
pattern, you should reach the second gear easily and kill the enemies
at the same time. Do the same thing on the next gear.

Jump to the third gear and then jump to solid ground. Run forward for
another fight.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                       Rock Minotaur
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This enemy has three main attacks. First, it will pound the ground in
front of it. Roll to avoid this attack. Secondly, the Minotaur will
rotate in place while holding out its arms. Roll to avoid this as well.
Lastly, the boss will pick up rocks and throw them at you. Yet again,
roll to avoid this. Because all of its attacks can easily be dodged,
the boss isn't too hard but it puts up a fight. Stand at a distance and
attack with the blades. Watch for its attacks and roll in to attack it
more personally. Use Rage Of The Titans to end the battle more quickly.
When the circle appears over its head, press the onscreen buttons and
kill it.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When the Minotaur is dead, go up to the shiny tree and press R1 to make
a bridge. Cross it and climb onto the vines. Go left and drop down to
the next platform. Jump and grab the vine rope. Head left and kill the
enemies that attack you. Press R1 to drop down to the next area. Kill
any enemies that followed you.

Look to your right. There is a stone wall near the spinning wheel. Go
near it and press R1 to open a somewhat-hidden door. Behind it is a
statue with a glowing green pendent. You can use this to stop time. Do
this and head left over the wheel.

Jump onto the conveyor belt and climb up the ledge for health. Jump
down and head forward to another conveyor belt. To your left is a spiky
death trap. To your right are a few eyes that shoot green beams. This
will turn you into stone. Go right and enemies will appear. Attack them
a bit but at the same time make your way to the end of the conveyor
belt. The enemies can be turned to stone too, so use this to your
advantage.

At the end, repeatedly attack the wooden blockade to break it down.
Grapple to the next ledge. Open the chest for health if you wish.
Destroy the statues for red orbs. The statue in the middle has
something shiny behind it. Push this object forward and it will fall
out of sight. Follow it and you will return to the previous area where
you fought the Cyclops.

Push the block onto the platform on the right. Push the block as far
right as you can and push the other block right as well. Go left and
press R1 near the raised side of the platform. Kratos will push the
platform into the bog.

Jump onto the roof of the platform and go forward. Climb the wall on
the other side and make your way left. Slash at the tree in your way
and jump across the gap. Continue left and climb down until you reach
the next area.

Head into the cave in front of you. Head down the path and you will see
a stone Minotaur. Destroy it for red orbs. Press R1 near the body for a
scene. Go forward and kill the gorgon. The path to the left is a dead
end. To the right, where the gorgon came from, is another path. At the
end is a chest with a Phoenix Feather and another with red orbs.

Go back and grab the dead soldier. Place it on the conveyor belt and
the crusher will break. Attack the crusher and the path forward will
open.

Open the chest for health or magic. Open the gate and watch the scene.
It's time for another boss.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                        Dark Cerberus
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This Cerberus is quite a bit more powerful than the one you trounced
earlier. It has some similar attacks but adds in some nasty ones. It
will swipe at you with its claws, sometimes in a two-swipe combo and
the head-butt attack from the other Cerberus returns. The Dark Cerberus
will also breathe fire from all three mouths and shoot out fireballs.
Finally, it will pound the ground and create a shockwave. The good
thing to note is that all of its attacks are dodged with a roll. Start
the battle by roll away from the beast and use square attack from a
distance. When it claws at you, roll from the first strike and attack
in a combo and you will damage it a bit. When it uses the flames or
fireballs, roll far away and wait a second, then roll in and attack for
a quick couple of attacks. Halfway through, a scene will occur where
the Cerberus eats the arm with the golden fleece on it. This is the
time where you want to whip out Rage Of The Titans. Attack the beast,
making sure to stay at a short distance because it can still hurt you.
When your meter is empty, go back to the previous pattern. This time,
as you attack, use Cronos' Rage to deal extra damage. Eventually, a
circle will appear over the beasts head. Press the button and the beast
will fall.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Pull the lever to the right. The wall with the face on it will now spit
out fireballs. Go in front of the wall and wait for a fireball. Press
L1 to reflect the fireball and destroy the wall. Kill the gorgons on
the other side. You can reflect their gaze with the Golden Fleece if
you want.

Continue down the path, taking a right at the fork and go forward some
more. Jump over the small ledges and you will see another crusher on
your left. This was also stopped when you killed the soldier, so
destroy it. Go inside the alcove and open the chest for a Gorgon's Eye.

Continue down the path. Head right and climb onto the wall. Go right,
jump the gap, and climb down. You are now back to the platform you
dropped in the bog. Jump to the right and head down the path until you
reach the save point. Make sure to save your game.

Go left and go to the door that shot green beams at you before. Use the
fleece to reflect the green beams. The stone will crack. Go forward and
attack it to break down the door. Descend the stairs and open the gate.

Destroy the statues for red orbs and open the chest for health. Head
right, destroy the statues, and kill the enemies. Climb down the
ladder.

At the bottom, a cut scene will play and you will have to fight a
roomful of enemies. Take out the soldiers first and then focus on the
Minotaur. Use Cronos' Rage and Rage Of The Titans to attack multiple
enemies and clear the room quickly. When they're all dead, open the
chest for health or magic.

Go through the door on the right and open the chest for red orbs.
Descend the lift to reach the next floor. Throw one of the fire nymphs
at the plaque on the left wall to reveal a chest with a Phoenix
Feather.

Return to the lift you descended on and raise it until you can just fit
underneath the metal gate. Look in the alcove underneath the lift for a
chest with a Gorgon's Eye. Jump onto the lift on the left and climb the
ledges to the top. Defeat the enemy here. He's not too hard but he
likes to block a lot.

Go forward and open the chest for health. Save your game.

Go back a little and head left. Climb the wall and open the chest for
magic. Climb onto the wall and latch onto the ceiling. Avoid the blades
and make your way to the other end of the ceiling. It's not that hard
of a challenge.

Drop down and open the chest if you need health. Rotate the lever to
pull back the spiked crushing machine. Immediately head into the
passage and roll to the lever near the right end. Pull it to lower a
wall section. Afterwards, run right and open the gate as fast as you
can, otherwise you will be crushed to death.

Jump down into the room and read the book for a scene.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                           Euryale
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Phase 1: In this phase, the boss has a few different attacks. It will
tilt its head back and do a stone gaze attack. You can reflect this or
roll away to avoid it. Next, the boss will stand on its tail and then
swing it at you. Roll away to avoid this. Also, the boss will do a tail
combo where it lies on its stomach and swings its tail at you. This is
followed by a tail smash. Roll away and you should avoid this attack.
Lastly, the boss will do a head-butt attack. Roll away when the boss
does this. Start by rolling away from the boss and attack from a safe
distance with the blades. Avoid the tail attacks and attack when its
combo is finished. Use Cronos' Rage to do some nice damage and cancel
her attacks. Keep attacking until she climbs onto a pillar.

Phase 2: On of the main attacks to avoid in this phase is the gaze
shockwave. The boss will use its stone gaze upon the floor and a
shockwave will ripple out that can turn you to stone. Double jump over
this or you will fall to the ground and shatter. Next, the boss will
shoot out projectiles that will turn you to stone after a few hits.
Roll to avoid this. Also, the boss will jump into the air and land in
the center of the room, creating a shockwave. Jump over the shockwave
or roll to a safe distance. Finally, the boss will try to hit you with
its tail while it's on the pillar. Roll to avoid this as well. Pay
close attention to the boss during this phase. Avoid its gaze shockwave
and attack the boss up close. You don't need to jump, just attack the
pillar and the boss will get hurt. After a few combos, the boss will
jump down and create a shockwave. Jump over the shockwave and attack
the boss. It won't try to attack you at this point, so get in some
combos. It'll crawl back to the pillar and either use its gaze wave or
shoot projectiles. Go close to the boss, avoid the tail attack and keep
attacking. Eventually, the boss will be stun and a circle command will
appear. Press circle to pull down the pillar. Repeat this pattern until
the other pillar is broken.

Phase 3: At this point, the boss looses all rational thought and has a
lot fewer attacks. The first attack is a series of ground smacks. Roll
away from the rampaging boss and the attack will cease. The only other
attack is the recurrence of the gaze projectiles from the last phase.
At this point, I like to use my Rage Of The Titans, while laying down a
lot of Cronos' Rage orbs. This will finish this phase very quickly. A
circle command will soon appear over the boss' head, so go through the
action sequence and you will gain the Head Of Euryale.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The Head Of Euryale will turn enemies to stone, much like the spell
from the last game. Enemies will spawn in the room now. Turn five of
them into stone and smash them to pieces to open the door forward. Go
down the hall and save your game.

Enter the next room for a giant puzzle. First off, turn the handle to
raise the column. Jump over to the lever, to your right, near the
ladder. Pull the lever, slow down time, and swim through the open gate.

As you go through the gate, to your right will be a lever. Pull it to
keep the gate open permanently. Surface and go to the second column.
Turn the handle and raise the second column. Dive back into the water
and swim forward. There is a second lever here. Pull it and swim
quickly through the two gates. Use a swim dash to swim through faster.
If you don't make it, turn right and you will return to the first
column.

In the next room, jump up onto the platform with the next column. Break
the wall on the left for a chest with red orbs. Raise the column with
the handle.

Dive down and perform a swim dash to break through the gate on the
right. Surface and turn the next handle to raise the next column. Jump
to the lever in front of you. Pull it and a gate will open above you
(permanently).

Head down the hall to the right and climb the ladder. Open the chests
behind you for red orbs. Step on the pressure switch to reveal a
ladder. This is a shortcut to the roof.

Go back down the ladder you just climbed and head right into a new
room. Try to turn the handle and a new enemy will appear. It is
incredibly slow but powerful, so roll when it attacks and attack it
until it dies. More enemies will spawn after you kill this. Kill
everyone and you can finally continue.

Turn the handle until the column is fully raised. This column won't
stay raised though. What you need to do is wait until the column is
fully raised and stop time. Climb the ladder and wait for time to
return to normal. Stop time again as soon as you can.

Swing from the first column and jump to the second column. Swing to the
column you just raised and jump to the next one. Now you don't need to
rush anymore.

Swing from this column to the fifth column. Jump to the right to reach
an alcove with two chests. Open them for a Phoenix Feather and red
orbs. Return to the column. Jump and swing to the open gateway. Open
the chest for health. Go down the hallway.

Pull the lever. The platform will rise and hounds will attack. Kill all
of them. When the platform reaches the top, it looks like you're going
to die but an action sequence will take over. Rapidly press circle to
kick down the platform. More dogs will drop down. Kill them quickly and
perform the action sequence again. Repeat this until the door in the
background opens. Jump through it to the next area.

Break the woodwork for red orbs and kill the harpies. Balance across
the beams. Jump and grab onto the ledge. Shimmy to the left and open
the chest for health or magic. Go forward to see a familiar foe.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                        Rock Minotaur
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This boss fights exactly the same as the last time, only this time
harpies will swarm you. The platform is smaller than last time but it's
not that bad. Start off the battle with Rage Of The Titans and attack
like crazy. At the same time, use Cronos' Rage to kill the harpies
before they reach you and do some damage to the boss. After you run out
of both rage's, back up a bit and wait for the boss to attack. When
it's done, rush in and get some combos in. When the circle command
appears, press the buttons to kill the Minotaur.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Grapple to the next pathway. Walk forward and save your game.

Walk down the hallway and a bunch of skeletons will ambush you. Kill
them and ascend the stairs. Pull the lever and you will be back in the
area where you used the statues to reflect the giant statue's eye
beams.

Head back into the bog of the forgotten and run to the end of the path.
There is a chest here with red orbs and a mega chest with thousands of
red orbs. Return to Destiny's Atrium.

Head left and go under the arch. Use the fleece to reflect the
fireballs and destroy the wall. Shimmy along the wall to reach the next
path and open the green and blue chests behind the stalactites.

Climb down the ladder and head forward. Kill the archers. Go forward
and kill some more enemies. When they're dead, shoot the archers with
your bow. Grapple to the next platform. Climb the wall to your left and
open the chests for red orbs.

Climb back down and grapple to the next platform. Kill the enemies and
open the chest for health. Climb the ladder in front of you.

  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
  The Hall Of Atropos:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

A cut scene will play. Go forward and defeat the wraiths. They aren't
too hard. Just use Cronos' Rage and grab as often as you can and they
should fall to your combos. Save your game on the right. You can't do
anything in this area for now, so go through the door on the right.

Go forward and open the chests for health and magic. Head right and you
will have to fight a few enemies. The priests will summon multiple
enemies to the battlefield, so defeat them first and then concentrate
on the Minotaur. Use Cronos' Rage to attack all the enemies at once and
the battle shouldn't be a problem.

There are two statues and a handle to your right. Rotating the handle
causes a platform to the left to rise. It won't remain that way for
long though. Push one of the statues onto the platform. Place the other
statue next to the platform.

Turn the handle and raise the platform all the way. Run to the statue
on the ground and push it under the descending platform. Now the
platform won't descend any more. Jump up to the next area.

Open the chest for health and go right. Open the next chest for red
orbs and climb the ladder to your left. Go forward, kill the enemies,
and open the chest for magic or yellow orbs.

Go back a little and head down the staircase on your right. Kill more
enemies and enter the room at the bottom. Satyrs will appear. Use
Cronos' Rage and Rage Of The Titans to kill them faster. They block a
lot but as long as you don't let them gang up on you, you'll be fine.

Go to the doorway and pull the block inward. Jump up and open the chest
for red orbs. Push the block outward. It will fall down into the
previous area. Push the block underneath the ladder on the side of the
bridge.

Head left, across the bridge, and pen the chests for health and red
orbs.

Go right and head through the door. Defeat all the enemies here and
jump up the ledge on the left side of the room. Open the chest for
health or magic. Go through the archway.

Save your game. Go to the end of the walkway. Jump down and press R1 to
latch on to the grapple point. Grapple to the next point, where Kratos
latches on to the side of the building. Jump to the next grapple point
and jump back to the building.

Walk forward and kill the enemies. There is a statue with a green stone
to your right. There is a circular button in the middle of the vines on
the side of the cliff. Step on it and stop time. Run across the vine
bridge, turn left and run across the next vine bridge.

Kill all the enemies here. Step on the button here and stop time once
again. Cross the vine bridge, turn left, and cross the next vine
bridge. Kill all the enemies. Step on the final button and stop time.
Cross the vine bridge, turn left, and cross the last vine bridge.

Go through the door and open the chests for health and magic. Open the
door for a scene.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                           Perseus
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Phase 1: For the first part of this battle, Perseus is invisible. The
good thing is that you are in a pool of water and can figure out where
he is. You can use the splashes of water to figure out where he is or
you can look for a silhouette that appears before he attacks. The
attacks are either green projectiles, that you can roll to avoid, or
sword strikes. His attacks don't do much damage but it is better avoid
his attacks then counterattack to get the jump on him. Cronos' Rage
doesn't work well but Rage Of The Titans does wonders. After a while,
the circle command will appear over his head. Quickly run to him and
press circle to make him visible permanently.

Phase 2: Now Perseus is visible. He will slash at you with his sword or
he will lunge with his sword. This is easily dodged with a quick roll.
Perseus can roll as well but this is a mistake on his part. Roll behind
him as he rolls and attack him. Get in a few combos and roll away.
Perseus will still shoot green projectiles but you can see when he'll
do this so it's easier to avoid. Keep him out of the sunlight or he'll
use the shield to blind you. If he does, shake the left stick back and
forth to escape. Roll before he can hit you. After a bit, the circle
command will appear again. Press it to break his sword in half.

Now his is much more vulnerable. He only has his shield and slingshot
now. He uses his shield to attach and blind you. Get in all your good
combos here and he will fall prey to your might. Eventually, the circle
command will appear again. Press circle to end the battle with another
action sequence.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Go through the opening and replenish your health and magic. Slide down
the chain to return to the previous area.

Save your game and then go back to the stone from earlier. Climb the
ladder and go right. Turn right and you will reach a statue. Destroy
its base and place the shield on it. Push it over the edge so it drops
to the first floor. Push it into the groove in the wooden part of the
floor. Go to the nearby handle and turn it to raise the platform. The
shield will reflect one of the eye beams. Run to the stone block, climb
the ladder, and go left to reach the other eye beam. Use the Golden
Fleece to reflect it and open the way forward.

  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
  Outside Atropos:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Start climbing the staircase in the mountain. Continue down the pathway
and you will reach a puzzle of sorts. You can't go left yet so go right
and use your arrows to take out the archers. Grapple across and turn
left. Swim to the next path and open the chests for health and magic.
Turn left and there is another fork. The right path is gated off for
now, so head left. You can see chests behind a metal grate. This is
what was down the left path at the first fork. We'll get back to that
later.

Go right and you will reach a broken bridge. You can't cross yet. Yeah,
there are a lot of closed off paths here. Turn right and climb the
vines on the wall.

At the top is a lever. Pull it and the gate below you will open. Ok,
now we can go forward. Jump down and go through the open gate. Press R1
and tap circle to grab the spear out of the dark griffin.

You have now acquired the Spear Of Destiny that the Dark Rider was
using way earlier in the game. Enemies will now appear. Test your new
weapon on them. This is much better than the hammer in my opinion. It's
faster and has better attacks.

To your right is a fate statue with a green amulet. Push it onto the
circle around the handle and turn it so that it faces the open gate.
Push it down the gate and to the right (towards the open chest). Swim
back across and turn around. Stop time, grapple back across the pool,
and head left at the fork. Quickly go down the path (if you didn't stop
time the floor would act as a switch and close the gate in front of
you) and enter the alcove for some chests. There's a Phoenix Feather,
The Urn Of Olympus, and red orbs here.

Return to the statue. Push it back up the ramp and rotate it so that
the amulet faces to the right. Push it back where it was before. Go
back to the broken bridge. Jump on it and it will straighten out. Now
you can cross it.

Stop time, run to the end of the broken section, and jump to the next
section. Open the chests for health and magic. Jump to the next section
and save your game.

The next part of the game is very thrilling. It consists of a large
grapple sequence where many things are falling down. I will try to
describe what to do as clearly as possible.

Grapple across the first two points and you will see another point in
front of you. Press R1 and Kratos will launch off the pillar and go
right. Latch on to the next grapple point. This one swings you in a
circle. The pillar you are on will start to fall but you want to wait
until the pillar in front of you is out of the way.

Swing around two times and, on the third swing, double jump to the
walkway. Walk forward and the platform starts to fall. Double jump to
the next grapple point.

Here, you have to wait for the two grapple points in the distance to
fall near enough for you to reach them. When they're close, jump and
swing across these two grapple points and jump.

Latch onto the grapple point underneath the wooden structure ahead and
you will be flung forward into a pillar with another point. Press R1
and you will spring back to the wooden structure. Press R1 again to
spring to the top of a pillar. One more button press and you will
spring to another point on the top of a pillar.

Instead of springing off of it, Kratos will hang on. The pillar will
start to turn and fall towards the next point. Jump to the last point.
You will swing forward and jump through a pillar to the next pathway.

Walk down the path and soon you will reach an open area. The way
forward will seal off and enemies will attack. Kill the sirens and
Minotaur and you can go forward.

In the next open area, you will have to fight more Satyrs and
Juggernauts. Use Cronos' Rage and be defensive and they should go down
quickly. Use the chest for health or magic and go forward.

Open the chests for health and magic. Head left and save your game. Go
across the bridge for a scene.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                               Icarus
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This is a very interesting battle. You are fighting Icarus while you
are falling from this very high ledge. At the beginning of the fight,
press the correct onscreen buttons and you will be on top as you fall.
While on top, attack him with square, circle, or triangle. Eventually,
Icarus will spin both of you around so that he is on top. Shake the
left stick to get back on top. If you started the battle on the bottom,
just shake the left stick and you will get on top. Eventually, Icarus
will get on top and you will have to rotate the left stick to knock his
head into a cliff. Continue attacking. When Icarus gets on top again,
rotate the left stick to knock Icarus into the cliff wall. Continue
attacking and rotate the left stick again to knock him into the wall
for a final time. Rapidly press circle and you will rip off Icarus'
wings.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

  =-=-=-
  Atlas:
  =-=-=-

Kratos will land underneath the world itself. You will now have to
navigate your way back to up. Head left and open the chest for health.
Save your game.

Kill the harpies and go right this time. Climb the wall and go left.
Drop down to the ledge. The next platform is to far away to jump to but
you can reach it using the Icarus wings. Press x and then hold it on
the second press to glide to the next ledge. Glide to the third
platform.

Look diagonally left and you will see a platform that looks like a
large earring. Jump and glide to it. Glide to the next earring platform
in front of you. Kill the harpies and glide around the chain to the
next platform.

Look down and you will see another platform. Glide down to it. Glide
into the cave and you will be on solid ground.

Kill the harpies and satyrs. I recommend liberal use of Cronos' Rage.
Open the chest for health or magic.

Attack the fang-like appendages on the north wall. Pull out the
vertebrae and move it to the ledge on the left. Jump up and open the
chests for red orbs and a Phoenix Feather. Jump down and get behind the
vertebrae. Pull it back through the tunnel you got it from. You need to
pull it to get through the passageway.

Jump on the vertebrae and jump to the next ledge. Open the chest for
health and walk down the passage. Glide to the platform in the lava.
Walk to the pile of rocks to fight a very familiar boss.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                         Rock Minotaur
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The Rock Minotaur still hasn't changed. Its attacks are the same as
they were the first two times. Attack from a distance and spam Cronos'
Rage. Use air attacks (R1 plus x to get in the air and square or
triangle to attack) to do lots of damage. Eventually, orbs will pour
out of the boss. The platform will start to sink into the lava.
Luckily, the boss made a place on the wall where you can climb. Jump
onto the wall and wait. The boss will throw rocks at you now, so dodge
by jumping left or right. The platform will soon reappear, so jump down
onto it and continue attacking. Be careful not to get caught in its
attacks as you attack from the air or you will receive lots of damage
and be unable to block. Attack it enough and you will destroy it for
good.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Push the boulder that the boss leaves behind to the door at the far
end. Jump on top and jump over to the door. Walk forward. Glide to the
left and open the chests for a Phoenix Feather and red orbs.

Glide to the right and land on the next platform. Jump to the next
platform for a cut scene. Glide to the left and open the chest for
health. Save your game. Attack the fang-like appendages to release a
rock.

Jump back to the previous platform and jump on the rock. Destroy the
purple rock and ride the rock to a grapple point. Grapple to the other
side. In the next room, destroy the rock to unblock a vent.

Jump into the pit and attack the rock underneath the left side of the
high ledge to reveal a chest with red orbs.

Jump out of the pit and glide to the other side. In the next room,
destroy the rock with the circular openings to destroy the hives and
end the swarms of nymphs. When all are destroyed, go back to the
entrance and climb the wall behind one of the first hives you
destroyed.

Climb up and go left. Jump the gap and climb onto the ceiling. Continue
to the end and drop onto a ledge with health and magic chests.

Look to your left to see another climbable portion of wall. Glide to it
and start climbing it. Latch onto the ceiling and destroy the
stalactite. Drop down onto the platform. Jump into the opening to your
left and start climbing the wall on the left.

Follow the ceiling, breaking the stalactites and killing enemies until
you get to the end. Break the last obstruction and climb up. Go forward
and walk on the platform. It will descend. Jump to the next wall
section and climb down. You will be on the roof in the chamber where
you released the rock.

Break the stalactites over the purple rock and a vent will open.
Continue along the ceiling and drop down at the end. Save your game.

Use the vent to glide to the other side of the area. Glide down to the
earring platform. Glide down to the platform with the handle. Try to
turn the handle and enemies will attack. Defeat them all and turn the
handle to raise the platform. Raise it all the way and glide to the
next platform.

Glide to the next two platforms and slide down the chain. Open the
chests for health and red orbs. Save your game to the right.

Climb the wall, go right, jump the gap, and kill the enemies. Climb
some more, destroy the rocks, and climb to the top. Latch onto the
ceiling. Drop from the ceiling and immediately latch onto the grapple
point. Swing to the next one which is a circle grapple point.

Jump to the next grapple point and grab onto the wall. Climb up and
jump to the platform behind you. Walk forward.

Grab the boulder on the left and push it to the top o the ramp. Grab
the other boulder and push it underneath the first. Push the first
boulder on top of the second and bring these stacked boulders over to
the small ledge on the right. Jump onto the ledge and pull the first
boulder onto the ledge. Push it to the right and use it to jump onto
the high ledge.

To the left is a wall you can climb. Glide to it and climb left to
reach a red orb chest. Return to the previous ledge and go forward.
Open the chest for health. Climb the wall and wait before you head
left.

Boulders will fall down on each side of the gap. Wait for the boulder
to fall on the side closest to you and go left. Jump up the wall (Up
plus X) then jump to the left side after the boulder falls on that
side. Jump up and repeat the pattern until you reach the top.

Go left and slide down the wall. Go left and repeat what you did going
up the other wall. Climb to the top.

Break the chain here to release the titan. A scene will play. When
Atlas tries to crush you, alternate between R1 and L1 to break free.
Another scene will play. When it's over, you will get a new spell:
Atlas Quake. Test it out on the chumps who try to attack you.

A cut scene will occur once you defeat them all. Once it's over, jump
across the gap and save your game.

  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
  The Palace Of The Fates:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Jump to the first rocky platform. To the left is a larger rocky
platform. On the left side of it is a wall you can climb. Glide to that
and climb to the top for a chest with red orbs. Jump from platform to
platform to reach the end.

The last platform has a health chest. Glide to the entrance to the
palace of the fates. There are health and magic chests on each side of
the ramp.

On the right side of the ramp, in an alcove, is a lever. Pull it to
lower the ramp and cause an enemy assault. The battle will start off
with two beast lords and immediately get out of hand. They will summon
Cyclops and more beast lords will appear when you kill one. In addition
to this, those fire archers from before will attack from the sides. Use
Atlas Quake, Cronos' Rage, and Rage Of The Titans as much as you can.
When you run out of magic, use the chest on the right. If you need
health, use the chest on the right. Eventually, they will all fall and
you can get back to opening the door.

Go to the right side to the doorway and you will find a handle you can
turn. Turn it until you can't anymore. The door still isn't open, so
grab one of the handles to your right and keep turning. Do this a bit
and the open door will appear and the ramp will rise again.

Go through the door and it will close behind you. Go to the open area
on the right and get some health and red orbs. Pull the lever in the
middle of the room. Dark nymphs will appear and spikes will come out of
different sections of the floor. The wall will rotate and three of the
sections are open.

As the wall rotates, certain sections will be open. Wait until the
first open section reaches the room with the cracked wall. In the
meantime, dodge the spikes and kill the nymphs with grab attacks. The
wall has a handle, so pull it out as far as you can. The spikes will
stop, the wall will stop turning, and you can now go into each room.
Open the chests for red orbs.

Make sure you get the handle in the room on the left. Go forward and
open the chest for health.

The right path is blocked, so head left and open the chests for magic
and red orbs. Go forward for a cut scene. This area here is large and
there's a lot you can do. It's easy to get lost so pay close attention.

Let's start with the ladder to your right. Climb that and let's begin.

Place the handle that you just picked up onto the crank. Now you can
turn it. Turn the crank and you will see the flames on the left side of
the screen start to retract into the wall. Turn the crank until the
flames are gone. Stop time as soon as you can.

Slide down the ladder and jump to the platform that the fire was
blocking. You should have enough time to get past the fire before it
starts up again. When time resumes, if you are passed the fire, the
flames will cease completely.

Open the chest in the alcove for a Phoenix Feather. Jump to the
platform in front of you. Run down the hall and save your game. Go
right, over the raised section of the hall and get ready for another
puzzle.

Go forward and pull the lever. Quickly run back to the vent. Before you
reach it, double jump and start to glide. As soon as you hit the
updraft, turn around and glide towards the slowly closing gate. You
should just be able to make it.

Run down the hallway and kill the hounds. Open the door at the end.
Destroy the wooden structure for some red orbs and open the chests for
health and magic.

There should be a stone block on the left. Push this into the next
area. The book is written in a foreign language, so you can't read it.
The door to the left is locked.

Push the block down the path to the right. In the room ahead is a man
praying. He is a translator. Pick him up with R1. He was sitting on a
pressure switch that keeps the door open. Throw him away from the
switch and push the block onto it.

Pick up the translator. As you bring him to the book, waves of enemies
will appear. Defeat the first wave with your blades. They come from one
direction so it's not too hard. The next wave is more difficult. They
will try to surround you. Use some magic to keep them away from the
translator and defeat the normal enemies quickly. Take out the satyr
and you should be done with wave 2.

The last wave will surround you like no tomorrow. This wave consists of
priests and normal enemies. Take out the normal enemies first. Even
though the priests can summon enemies, they only summon one at a time,
so defeat the limited number of normal enemies, protecting the
translator as you go.

Now you can take out the priests. Pull out all your tricks and best
attacks and they go down fast. Now it seems as the translator has
forgotten the words to the book. We can't have that can we? "Persuade"
him to read the correct words and the door to the left will open. A
scene will play, showing that this is only a small step in getting into
the home of the sisters. Seriously, this whole area is a giant puzzle
to get to that one place, much like the rings of Pandora from the first
game. The development team did some nice work with this game.

Anyway, go to the door and you will receive the Ram's Key. Open the
door, go down the hallway, and you will be back in the room with the
vent puzzle.

Go back over the raised section and save your game.

Go back to the main area and open the door on the right with the Ram
Key. Walk down the hall and open the chest for magic or health.

Notice the spikes on the wall to your left. Walk down the hall to your
right and a cut scene will play. You must kill all of the enemies to
survive. Start out with normal attacks and then pull out all the stops.
Use Atlas Quake, Cronos' Rage, and Rage Of The Titans as well as your
strongest attacks.

Once they're all dead, the spiked walls will return to their previous
position. Run down the hall and turn right. Open the chest at the end
of the hall for red orbs.

  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
  Garden Of The Gods:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Go right again and head into the next room. A cut scene will play. Open
the chests for a Phoenix Feather and red orbs. Break through the
cracked wall to reveal a new path.

Go forward and hug the wall on the left side. Go right. As you go, you
will pass windows. There will be a window with chests in it. To reach
these, go to the next window and drop down. There is a floor here and
only here. Go forward, climb the ladder, and go left to reach two
chests with red orbs.

Return to the bottom of the ladder. Return to the ledge and shimmy
right until you reach the other side. Save your game. Go into the next
room and open the chest for health. Climb onto the chain. It will
break, dropping you down to a room on a lower floor.

Examine the wall in front of you. Apparently, the sisters require a
sacrifice by fire. Sirens will appear and you have to kill them with
fire. The levers control the fire on the other side of the room. The
easy way to kill them is to lure them to one side, use Cronos' Rage and
pull the lever while they are trapped.

Go through the door once the sacrifice is accepted. Open the chest for
health and dive into the blood water.

Swim down the passage, avoiding the bodies and the spikes. Surface at
the other end. Go towards the camera to find two red orb chests. Go
forward and get ready for a very cleverly designed puzzle.

There is a bunch of ice in this room and you must find a way to melt
the ice at the exit.

Drop down into the pit with the bird statue and pull the lever. The
bird will breathe fire and melt the ice over a mirror. Jump out of the
pit and climb one of the walls. Once you reach the ceiling, go around
and destroy all of the ice pieces. This will cause light beams to shine
from the ceiling.

Drop to the ground and go to the three cranks on the side of the room.
Rotate them so that the half moon is pictured below the middle lever.
This means that the mirror (full moon) is across from the bird statue.

Go to the left side of the room and move the mirror to the bottom
center of the room. The mirror will reflect the light to the mirror in
front of the bird statue and melt the ice around it.

This uncovers a handle on the bird. You can now rotate the statue to
melt all of the ice in the room. Melt all of the ice and grab the goods
in each alcove. All told, there are four red orb chests, two Minotaur,
one magic chest, and the exit.

Go through the door and head left. Turn right into the next room.

In this room, you need to destroy all of the fire nymph nests. There is
one on the ground. Destroy this and climb the wall to the ceiling.
Fight off the nymphs and destroy the two remaining nests. On is on the
right, the other on the left. Drop down to the ground.

Turn the crank to lower a grapple point. Jump to the grapple point and
latch on. Ride it to the next floor. Replenish health and magic with
the chests and go forward for a fight.

The first enemies are two Cerberus that can spit out mini versions of
themselves. Destroy the pups first because they can morph into full-
sized Cerberus at any time. When all of the dogs are dead, more appear,
along with a few juggernauts. Use magic and Rage Of The Titans to get
rid of them. If you are having trouble, there is a health chest in the
left corner of the room.

Go forward and climb the ladder to your left. Save your game. Jump to
the right side for three chests with red orbs. Jump down into the area
to your left. This is the area in between the two gates. There are two
more chests with red orbs here.

Use the ledges to return to the top. Jump back to the save point and
open the gate. Open the chest for health and slide down the ladder.

Head down the hallway to the right. Grab the fate statue and push it
down the hall. Go to the gate and watch the cut scene. Pull the lever
and push the statue under the gate to keep it open.

Jump through the distortion to your left and you will be transported
back in time. Run to the statue and stop time. Run back to where you
got the statue and you will find another Mega Chest that extends your
health meter.

Go back in time once more and stop time at once. Run to the translator
and press R1 to stop him from doing what he wants. The nerve of that
man.

Translator in tow, press R1 in front of the book. Persuade him to read
it and watch the scene. GO to the door on the right and you will get
the warrior's skull.

Go through the door. Turn the crank to widen the air current. Use it to
reach the lever in the alcove. Pull the lever and you will raise the
air current. Jump down and turn the handle again. Use the vent to reach
the ceiling. Latch on and continue to the left.

Break the pillar to continue forward and drop down to the ground at the
end. GO forward and turn the handle to descend a level. Jump across the
gap and you will be back at the large area where you began.

Defeat the Cyclops that drop into the area. There are four in total. GO
through the door on the left using the warrior's skull.

Open the chests for health and magic and save your game.

Go forward into the elevator. Press R1 and rapidly press circle to
descend. Skeletons will rise and prevent you from doing this. Use the
Head Of Euryale to turn them to stone. Break them before they can break
free and continue descending. Continue defeating skeletons this way
until you reach the bottom. There is a door here.

Two skeletons will try to attack you. Freeze them and open the door
quickly. Roll under the door and the skeletons will be crushed by the
spikes instead of you.

  Underground:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-

Open the red orb chests and go down the hallway to your right. Open the
chest for health. Jump up to the rope and make your way across, killing
enemies as you go. Archers will destroy the rope when you get halfway.

Go right, grab the ledge, and shimmy right until you can pull yourself
up. Kill the archers and more enemies will appear. Kill the warriors
and gorgons and return to the walkway in the middle of the lava.

Climb the wall to the left and latch onto the ceiling. Go forward and
kill some enemies. Drop down to the floor and kill the enemies here.

Open the chests for health and magic. Head right and take out your bow.
Shoot the target a few times and it will break. Jump to the secret room
to find a Mega Blue Chest that increases your magic and a red orb
chest. Destroy the right wall to find a super secret lever that
retracts the spinning blades into the column.

Glide back to the other side and glide to the ledge above the secret
room.

Glide around the pillars and you will reach the next area. Read the
book and a lever will appear. It's useless for the moment, so glide to
the right and save your game. Glide to the area behind the pillars in
the middle for a chest with red orbs.

Return to the platform with the lever. Glide to the left and defeat the
skeletons and go down the path. Kill the other enemy and enter the next
room.

There are large spikes here and you don't want to step on them. Pull
the lever and they will retract. Run forward and break the wall on the
back left to reveal a fate statue. Stop time and run back to the lever.
The enemies that attack will be skewered and you will be safe.

Pull the lever again and open the red chests next to the statue. Take
two trips if you need to. Pull the lever again and walk to the body.
Examine it to get the Hail Of Boreas. Run back to the lever.

Pull the lever again, freeze time, and run back to where the dead body
was. Turn the crank here 360 degrees and then freeze time. Quickly run
down the hall, jump the two gaps, and roll through the door before the
spikes skewer you.

Head down the hall and you will see a group of chests behind a gate.
Turn right and then left. In this part of the hall, to your right, is a
ledge you can jump and grab. Do so and jump to the ledge on the other
side. Slide down the ladder to reach three red orb chests.

Return to the hall and head down it some more. Open the chests for
health and magic. Break the statue on the right for orbs and grab the
statue on the left.

Push it forward against the waves of fire. Use Cronos' Rage to keep the
enemies at bay. Push it in front of the lever. Pull the lever and push
the statue further forward.

Push it on the pressure switch and quickly step on the button to lower
a grapple point. Swing to the open gate on the other side. Open the
chest for health. Push the urn forward and the platform will lower.

Push the urn into the groove on the right and walk forward. Kill all
the enemies here. Pull out all your best skills and they'll go down.
Save your game and pull the switch.

Watch the cool scene and glide to the second level of the circular
staircase. At the top of the stairs, on either side, are chests with
red orbs.

Jump into the alcove and pull the lever. Place the hail of boreas into
the door behind you. Go through the door and follow the hall for a
chest with red orbs. Climb the chain and jump off at the next level.

Go forward, open the chests for health and magic, and save your game.

Go outside and blow the horn for a cut scene. Ump down and jump onto
the pillar on the right. Glide to the one on the left. Glide left to
the ledge with the broken ladder. Open the door and head forward.

Pull the lever to raise the elevator to the left. Climb it and climb
onto the ceiling. Break the two chains to reveal a red orb chest and a
pillar. Pull the lever again and kill the enemies that appear. Push the
statue in between the elevator and the hall.

Pull the lever. The elevator will get stuck halfway. Jump in and pull
the pillar into the elevator. Jump onto the pillar and destroy the next
chain to open the door.

Open the chest for health. Rotate the handle to raise the platforms
outside. Go right and the door is now open. Turn this handle until the
gateway is open.

Go into the next hallway. A fight will commence. It is very easy but
meaningful, as you will see in a moment. Kill the unknown man and watch
the scene.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                               Kraken
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Phase 1: The first part of the battle is really a shouting match
against the Kraken. Soon it will grab you and another scene will roll.
You will receive an upgrade for the Rage Of The Titans. Now we can beat
down this scaly monster. Most of the Kraken's attacks are from its
tentacles. All of these can be dodged with a quick roll. The only other
attack is the Kraken's acid spit. Roll to avoid this as well. Now, this
battle is more of a puzzle than a normal boss fight. You have to figure
out how to make it vulnerable. First of all, you need to attack the
left tentacle until green orbs fly out. The tentacle will back away
from a pressure switch. Grab the dead body of the Spartan and place it
on the switch. A vent will appear in the middle of the area. Use it to
fly and reach the head of the Kraken. Attack the head enough times and
it will stab it tentacle into the grate. The tentacle will get stuck.
Climb onto it and attack the bulging part at the top. When you break
that off, press circle to slice off the tentacle. Repeat the sequence
of attacking the tentacle, placing the body on the switch, and
attacking the head. The second tentacle will be stuck in the building,
so run over, jump and latch onto it, and attack the bulging section.
Press circle to slice off this tentacle as well.

Phase 2: The Kraken will now eat the body, so we need to figure out a
new way to hurt it. The Kraken will now pound the ground in the middle
of the area with its remaining tentacles, so stay out of the middle of
the area and you should be fine. The rest of its attacks are similar to
the last phase, so just roll to avoid them. Attack the tentacles and
eventually one of them will be knocked off. Run to the other tentacle
and continue attacking until that one falls as well. Now is a good time
for magic or your upgraded Rage. Pull the lever to extend the bridge
and kill this sucker.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Cross the bridge and press circle to start an action sequence. When
it's over, watch the scene.

  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
  The Temple Of The Fates:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Swim to the right and save your game. Time is slowed in this area as if
you had used the amulet of the fates. Go to the platform on the right,
open the chest for health if you wish, and grapple to the platform in
the middle. Destroy the crystal to return to normal time.

Jump into the water and find the handle. Turn it right until it is
above a groove. Dive down and underneath the platform is a lever. Pull
this and everything will lock into place. We'll get back to this later.

Grapple back to the platform and glide to the bell on the right with
the picture of Cronos. Press R1 to grab it and alternate between L1 and
R1 to ring it. Immediately stop time and glide left. When you are near
the center platform, grapple to it. Press R1 near the hanging object to
ring the other bell.

When both bells ring are ringing, the giant head will crack. Jump down
to the handle that you turned earlier. This time it will turn the whole
platform. Turn the platform so that the bell-ringer is aimed towards
the statue.

Grapple back to the platform and press R1 to open the path forward. Go
through the statue and open the chests on each side for red orbs. Go
forward and open the chest for magic.

Glide to the platform and watch the scene.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                            Lahkesis
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Phase 1: The first part is pretty straightforward. She will try to kill
you and for the most part her attacks are predictable. Most of her
attacks involve glowing green orbs. She will shoot a single orb at you.
Roll to avoid this. She will leave an orb behind her which will explode
after a bit. Jump or roll away from this. Also, she will shoot two
waves of three orbs at you. These hover on the ground, so you can jump
or roll to avoid this. She will also hover in the air at times and
plummet down, creating a shockwave. Stay away from her to avoid this.
Her last attack is a three hit combo with her staff. This isn't too
hard to avoid. Just avoid her attacks keep attacking her. It's best to
keep at a distance and use Cronos' Rage as well as other powerful
attacks. Soon her attack pattern will change.

Phase 2: When she finally emits orbs, she will fly high in the air and
you can't reach her right now. She has two attacks in this phase.
First, she will throw her staff and energy orbs will rain down on
Kratos. Roll to avoid these. Next, she will strike the ground with her
staff and electrocute the entire floor. To avoid this, grapple to one
of the points around the room. This leads you to actually damaging her.
Grapple to a point near her. Avoid the orbs she shoots at you, jump off
and use triangle attacks to damage her. Grapple back to the point and
keep attacking. If you fall to the floor at any point, use Cronos' Rage
to stun her and do some nice damage. Keep attacking and eventually the
circle command will appear above her. Immediately grapple to a point
near her, jump off, and press circle to end this part of the boss
fight.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

A scene will play and you will find yourself in another boss fight.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                              Atropos
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This battle is a race against time really. You have to stop Atropos
from destroying the sword or the battle's over. She has two attacks.
First, she will shoot homing energy balls at you. Deflect these back at
her with the fleece. She will also shoot an energy beam to try to
destroy the sword. You can deflect this to buy some time or stay away.
Atropos will summon normal enemies to attack you while she flies around
shooting energy at you. Kill these guys for magic and shoot her with
arrows when she is far away. When she gets close to you, use liberal
use of Cronos' Rage to stun her. If she tries to hit the sword with a
beam, do your best to deflect it and buy time to defeat her. Use Rage
Of The Titans to kill the normal enemies faster and gain more magic.
After a while, the circle command will appear over Atropos. Press
circle and the onscreen buttons and she will fall.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

After another scene, you will be thrust into another boss battle.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                 Lahkesis and Atropos
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
During this fight, Atropos is trapped in the past. She can still attack
you, however. She can manage to get herself halfway through the mirror
and attack. She has the same two attacks as the last battle: energy
orbs and an energy beam. Avoid these by rolling and focus on Lahkesis.
She has the same attacks as last battle and will alternate between
hovering high in the air and gliding on the ground. Attack her using
the blades and magic and soon she will get stunned. She will glow
green, meaning you can stop time. Do so and run to the mirror that
Atropos is trapped in. Attack her and she will retreat into the mirror
as it cracks. Attack the mirror and destroy it completely. One mirror
down. Repeat the process with a second mirror: wearing Lahkesis down,
stopping time, attacking Atropos, and destroying the mirror. Once two
of the mirrors are destroyed, Lahkesis will stand in front of the
mirror and try to protect her sister. She has two new attacks her. The
first is where she makes pillars of energy that come at you in waves.
Stand in between the pillars and you will avoid them. The other new
attack is really a defense system in which she makes a shield of energy
appear to protect her. Stay away from her while she is protecting.
Continue attacking her, using your best spells and your new Rage and
she will fall. The circle command will appear. Press the onscreen
buttons to trap both sisters behind the mirror. Break the mirror and
the fight will end.

  The Inner Sanctum:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Breaking the mirror will reveal the way forward. Go forward and save
your game. On either side of the save point are alcoves with red orbs
chests in them.

Continue forward to the next area. There are murals on the walls that
you can read. Could these depict the future? Climb the wall across from
the entrance to the room and latch onto the ceiling. Make your way to
the other side of the room and drop onto the platform.

From here, you can glide to alcoves on the right and left of the
previous room. All of the chests contain red orbs. Return to the
platform and walk down the corridor.

Break through the last wall on the right and follow the path. As you
go, waves of enemies will attack. The first wave consists of normal
enemies and juggernauts. Use normal attacks and Cronos' Rage to keep
them at bay. You can even attack them through the shields that separate
certain sections of the path with this spell.

The next wave is just normal enemies so attack and they will fall to
your might. The third wave consists of sirens and gorgons. Use your
upgraded Rage to take them out faster. When you are out of Rage use
normal attacks. If they ever get stuck behind the shield, open the
chest for magic and use spells to take them out. If the circle appears
over one of their heads, go through the button-press sequence to gain
magic. Use spells and they will fall quickly. When they're dead, get
health from the chest.

The next wave consists of more normal enemies, so kill them and open
the chest if you need magic or Rage. The fifth wave consists of satyrs
and Minotaur. Use spells and maxed out blades to kill them off.

The next wave is normal enemies again. Kill them off and continue. The
last wave is a bunch of normal enemies and three Cyclops. Kill the
first two Cyclops with Rage and the third will appear. Take out the
normal enemies and avoid the Cyclops. When the normal enemies start to
thin out, focus more on the Cyclops. When they are all dead, open the
chests for health and magic and save your game.

Attack the hand on the left side and hold R1 to unlatch the left side.
Attack the right hand and unlatch the right side. Open the door and
enter the giant room.

Dodge the swinging pendulums and go right. There are many arms over
Clotho's body that will attack you. Attack the arm on the right and it
will go limp. It won't stay like this forever, so be aware. Use Cronos'
Rage to free the gate of obstruction and rotate the lever. The gate
above will open.

Attack the arm again, glide to the gate, and open the chest for magic
or yellow orbs. Climb the chain to the next level.

Go to the arm on the right and attack it until it is stunned. Continue
right and pull the lever. This opens a trapdoor under the first arm.
Stun the arm again, jump into the hole, and open the red orb chest.
Jump out. Stun the arm again and pull the lever to pin the arm in the
trapdoor.

Behind the trapdoor is a device with a handle. Pull it to the left
until it reaches the lever you pulled. It will lock into place once you
let go. Go right and stun the arm. Climb the rope to the platform above
the arm and pull the lever. If the arm is still stunned, the blade will
pin it to the floor. Two arms down.

Grab the device and pull it left again until it reaches the next
hanging platform. It should lock into place if you let go. Stun the arm
and pull the device past it. Pull the device until it reaches the
overhanging stone hands.

Step on the pressure switch and the two devices will connect. Stun the
arm and push the dive in front of the arm. Attack the arm a final time
and it will get caught in the pendulum. The pendulum will fall.

All of the arms are pinned now. Climb the rope the pendulum was hanging
from and jump to the ledge with the lever. Pull it and you will reach
Clotho's head.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                              Clotho
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Clotho only attacks by trying to squash you with her fists. Stun her
arms for orbs and to stop the attacks for a while. Go to the right and
stun the right arm. Climb the wall on the right as far as you can and
move to the right side. Attack the device to your right and you will be
able to push a handle below. Jump down and stun the arm again. Move the
handle so that the lever is in the middle of the room. Stun both arms
and pull the lever. One of the swinging blades will rise from below.
Grab it and turn it so that it faces Clotho. Get behind it and press R1
for an action sequence. Press the onscreen buttons and Clotho is no
more.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Go through either door behind Clotho and enter the elevator. Pull the
lever to ascend to the next floor. Swim under the gate and grab health
from the chest if you need it. Swim under the next gate and save your
game.

Pull the lever and return to Clotho's dead body. There are many threads
here you can pull. The one you want is the first one to the right of
the lever you pulled to raise the swinging blade. Pull this thread
until the timer starts. Stop time and run to the elevator.

Run back to the mirror next to the save point and jump through before
the timer runs out. A scene will play.

  Summit Of Sacrifice:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                                Zeus
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This is a four part battle against the king of Olympus. You can
actually hurt him, now that you aren't on the verge of death.

Phase 1: Zeus starts off the battle as a giant. He has two attacks in
this form. First, he can pound the platform with both hands and create
shockwaves. Jump over this to avoid it. He will also throw a
thunderbolt at the platform. This also creates a shockwave you can jump
over. At the start of the battle, Zeus will summon sirens to attack
you. This will work against him, though. Attack each siren until the
circle appears and press circle near them. The shockwave that you
release will hit Zeus and force him to release orbs. Watch out for his
fist pound after he is hit and continue killing sirens until the circle
appears over Zeus. Cronos' Rage works extremely well since everyone
drops magic orbs. Press circle to stab Zeus' hand and shrink him to
your size.

Phase 2: In this phase, Zeus is much more agile and has more attacks.
He will try to throw thunderbolts at you. Roll to avoid these. He will
also send out a shockwave of thunderbolts. Jump or roll to avoid it. He
also has a punch combo and a sliding punch that leads into a punch
combo. Roll to avoid both attacks. Start off the battle with Rage Of
The Titans and attack Zeus without mercy. At the same time, spam
Cronos' Rage and keep attacking. When your Rage meter half full, turn
it off and attack normally. Zeus should get stunned soon and emit orbs.
He will steal back his blade and go into the third phase.

Phase 3: You are now forced to use your blades against Zeus while he
uses the blade of Olympus. Zeus is much faster now and will try to
confuse you. All of Zeus' blade attacks are dodged with a quick roll.
Start off the battle with liberal use of Cronos' Rage and then activate
your other Rage. After a little bit, circle will appear above Zeus'
head again. Press it and then rapidly press it to stab Zeus' and knock
him into a column. Run to the column and press R1 to hit him with a
pillar. The next part of the battle works the same as phase 2. You have
the blade and he doesn't. Attack him until he takes it back a second
time. Zeus will summon lightning orbs and use them as a shield.
Activate your upgraded Rage and attack like crazy. Throw in some
Cronos' Rage for good measure. Once the circle appears over his head
again, go throw the same action sequence to throw him against another
pillar. Go to the leftmost pillar to drop a large rock on him. Zeus
will grow gigantic again.

Phase 4: Wait until the action sequence starts and press the onscreen
buttons. Zeus doesn't stand a chance. Watch the scene that follows.

  The Loom Chamber:
  =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Run to the bottom of the chamber and pull on the same thread until the
timer kicks in. Stop time, run to the elevator, and return to the
mirror. Jump through and watch the final scene of the game. What a
thrill ride that was. Enjoy the ending.
